I’m not sorry over the fact I think it’s insensitive, and mean spirited, to make fun of a person’s death. You don’t have to like Nirvana, don’t have to listen to their music. But come on, have some decency and don’t turn a depressed person’s spiral into a punchline. This goes for anyone, celebrity status or not. Just don’t.

The proposal. (Part.1)
When Batman goes to talk to the Joker in Arkham, two years have passed and Batman does not look like he is willing to fight (Although during the conversation he was prepared for it). His hands are on the table, which means he expects a violent reaction from the joker.
Look directly at the Joker, try not to look nervous, and this reaction could mean the complete opposite.
Start with something that the real joker wouldn't be interested in at all
"Talk"
Batman knows this and then follows up with something that might interest him. We all know that the Joker loves attention, That's why the joker's little reaction to his words surprises him.
One of the best details is that Batman names the "ending" about his fight against the Joker and how when he thinks about it he also thinks about death.
And Batman asks him if it's true that they will end up killing each other, and when he doesn't get an answer he continues talking.
Considering the idea of him killing the Joker and then thinking about how long it will take until then.
Something I would like to point out is that Batman is not just saying this to the Joker. If not, he's saying it to himself.
He is willing to talk about it and try not to get to that situation. For this time he is willing to talk like civilized people.
And this is when he starts to get angry. By now she would have received some response from the Joker (or at least a joke). And then he resorts to physical contact and grabs her hand. (A very significant act)
After this Batman begins to speak in a less serious, but more sincere way.
And he brings up the topic of their relationship and that it is destined for doom. And at this point he actually opens up to the Joker and tells him that he doesn't want to kill him.
And it is at this moment that Bruce realizes that he is not the Joker (it's about time) And everything becomes so violent. But the way they realize it also says a lot about them. Batman recognizes him by the hands and the makeup on her, (and possibly all the signs he gives her that he's not the Joker). It shows that he knows him better than anyone.
Bruce was giving the Joker, one of the biggest threats to Gotham, a chance.
And he feels disappointed, in a way he believed in the joker, in what could change. But at the same time he is really angry, about the whole situation: Seeing that he said all that to someone who didn't deserve it... And above all, having shown that he cares about the joker, that he wants to help him.
