Kenshin Uesugi - Desire (Part 2) | Kenshin x Reader
Read Part 1
Part 2 Summary: You are still waiting for Nobunaga to save you from Kenshin’s grasp, meanwhile, the icy war lord has a new request for you...
Tumblr media
I spend the rest of the day frustrated, thinking about Kenshin and his infuriating ways.
It’s a few hours later before I hear his footsteps coming down the stairs. There is no light down here, but I get the feeling that it’s passed midnight.
I wonder if perhaps Nobunaga has come at last—my heart lightening just a little at the thought—but the look on Kenshin’s face doesn’t betray any news.
He stops in front of the cage, his war attire replaced with a breathy, light blue kimono.
My breath catches at the sight of him standing there. Without all the jingles and bells of war, he looks almost… gentle. His hair is so soft, and against the kimono’s thin fabric his skin looks almost frostlike. I get the strange desire to test the fragility of its surface.
“I have a new request for you,” Kenshin says, his voice cutting through the dark space.
My heart flutters, whether from fear or anticipation I’m not sure. I can’t imagine what Kenshin would want of me, but it certainly can’t be good. And now that I get a better look at him…
There is something different about him. Aside from the change in attire, it’s as if the very air he walks on has become lighter. More so, is his expression—it’s the expression of a kid who’s found a fun new game to play. Admittedly, the look suits him, and for a second, I am intrigued by what sort of game would spark excitement in this war-hardened man.
But my moment of intrigue is cut short when I realize, with sickening clarity, that the subject of this game, is me.
“You are to sleep in my bed tonight,” he says.
“…What?”
“My request was simple enough, I shouldn’t see the need to repeat myself.”
“But…why?”
“Why?” he smirks. “I’ve had some time to think about what you said, and it made me realize something. You see, men of great power don’t desire things simply because. No, we desire that which is unattainable to all else...”
My stomach lurches as his words begin to shape into meaning.
“What would Nobunaga think if he finds the object of highest desire has already been had?” he continues. “Probably not very kindly. I would love to see the look on his face when he realizes his sweet lamb has been tainted.”
“Don’t you dare—” I stutter, “I would never.”
“Too late,” he says. “I’ve already made up my mind.”
He slips the key in the door.
I am stuck deciding whether I should run or stand my ground and try to resist.
But my decision doesn’t matter.
Kenshin has me thrown over his shoulder before I can do anything about it.
I kick my legs in protest. “Let me down!!”
He ignores me, my struggles failing to affect him. “I thought you’d be more agreeable. You are out of the cage, as you wished.”
“You— I’d rather the cage than you!”
“Silence.” He sighs. “This is why I never deal with women.”
Kenshin carries me up a flight of stairs. I try to protest, but he keeps one strong arm wrapped around my legs, locking me in place.
When we arrive in what appears to be a plain bedroom, he puts me down roughly.
As soon as my feet touch the ground, I strike.
The war lord catches my fist easily. “Need I remind you,” he says, “I have the power to kill you at any moment. I suggest you be more agreeable from now on.”
“Like hell.” I struggle out of his grip and attempt to fight back, but in the next movement he’s got me turned around, his hand on my waist and sword at my throat.
Beads of sweat trickle on my forehead. I gulp. I’d forgotten that men of this era have the tendency to pull swords out of seemingly random places.
“Did that sound like a jest?” he growls, “I will warn you one more time.”
I whimper, accepting my odds.
Using only one hand, Kenshin takes my hands behind my back and ties them with some sort of rope.
He then leads me over to a large bed. My heart sickens at the sight of it.
Kenshin throws me down on the mattress and pulls out another rope for my feet. If this situation weren’t so horrible, I would find myself appreciating the quality of the mattress.
Kenshin expertly begins the tie at my feet. A shiver travels up my legs at the touch of his skin on my bare ankle.
When he finishes I roll over to my side, desperate to make myself as small as possible.
A moment later I feel the bed shift as Kenshin lays down next to me.
Tears sting at my eyes. The hairs on my body stand in anticipation.
Nobunaga, please forgive me. I’m sorry, I…
I hold my breath in a moment of suspense. I wait a beat. Then two. Then…
Nothing happens. Kenshin is lying peacefully beside me.
I turn my head to get a look at him.
He lies on his back, his beautiful eyes are closed, displaying the fullness of his lashes. His blonde hair lays softly against his face.
I would almost think the man beside me were a statue if not for the intense presence radiating off of him. Even in his relaxed state he sparked fear.
The statue moves. “Now I see your concern. It will be hard to get any sleep if you continue staring at me like that.”
“I… what… sleep!?”
“Why do you sound so surprised? Did I not give you your orders already?”
“But…you said…” Did he seriously mean he just wanted me to sleep here?!
Now my cheeks flush with embarrassment.
“Oh?” Amusement lights his blue eyes. “Did you think I meant something else?”
I turn my head away.
He sighs. “There is no need for me to spoil my sheets.” When he speaks next, there is something strangely compassionate in his voice. “When Nobunaga simply hears you spent the night in my room that will be enough for him to disown you. That’s how frugal a man’s desire is.” I spare a glance at Kenshin, but his eyes are already closed.
I huff and lie back on the bed, my own new desire burning in my chest.
I will kill this man. I swear it.

I sat in the main hall of Kasugayama, attending another banquet with my beloved and all of our friends. We were in a loose circle all together sharing food and drink and lots of laughs. “Allow me to pour you another cup, beautiful goddess.” Shingen spoke to me, holding up the bottle of sake.
“I appreciate the gesture…” I began, but was interrupted by Kenshin taking the bottle from Shingen and then pouring sake into my cup.
“I’ll be the only one pouring for her.” Kenshin said. “Go find some other goddess. This one is mine.”
I felt my cheeks redden, but I also couldn’t help but to smile. Kenshin got jealous so easily sometimes. “You know Kenshin, you’re the only man for me. It doesn’t matter how anyone else flirts.” I assured him.
“I know.” Kenshin replied. “But HE needs to stop it.”
Shingen chuckled. “I know when a goddess is unavailable.” He said. “I can appreciate basking in her presence without having to take anything from you.”
Kenshin put an arm around my waist and pulled me closer all while glaring at Shingen. “Next time you flirt with her, I will kill you.”
“Can’t have one day go by without Lord Kenshin threatening someone.” Sasuke said.
“Well, it would help if Lord Shingen would stop flirting.” Yukimura replied.
We all spent the evening talking and joking together, sharing laughter. Shingen threw out a few more flirty lines here and there…and Kenshin threatened to kill him, actually pulled his sword out a time or two.
“That’s ten KU in less than an hour.” Sasuke murmured, causing me to laugh as I calmed Kenshin down and got him to put his sword away.
“I still can’t believe you turned it into a measurement.” I told Sasuke, being the only one to understand his joke.
“It is for my scientific research.” Sasuke replied matter-of-factly. “Also helps me to keep picturing myself in a movie.”
“Our lives would be an interesting movie for certain.” I agreed.
“Mo-vie?” The others asked in unison.
“It’s kind of like a play.” I explained.
“But recorded to be enjoyed again and again.” Sasuke added.
We all talked a while longer as the party went on before Kenshin was declaring he;d had enough for the night. He stood up and held his hand out for me. I smiled as I placed my hand in his and then bid everyone a good night.
Shingen grinned at me over his sake cup. “Enjoy your evening, goddess.”
There was something in the look in his eyes, suggesting he knew something was coming and I found myself blushing in embarrassment. I turned my gaze to focus on Kenshin who’s shoulders were almost stiff as we walked.
“Kenshin…” I began trying to find out what was the matter.
Before I could get anything other than his name out. Kenshin was whirling around and scooping me up into his arms, his lips were on mine in a passionate kiss. “Mmm…” I moaned into the kiss, despite the fact that we had just barely left the prying eyes and ears of the rest of the castle.
Kenshin broke the kiss, his emerald and sapphire gaze burning and filling me with a passionate heat. “I’m sorry.” He murmured. “But I can’t help myself.” He was then carrying me down the hall, all the way to our shared bedroom, pepper kisses on my face and neck.
When we finally made it to our room, Kenshin was laying me down on the futon and climbing over me, his hungry lips descending upon me as his hands moved to the obi at my waist, deftly untying it to open my kimono and expose my skin to his affectionate fingers and roving gaze.
“You are always so beautiful.” He murmured as his lips trailed along my jaw and then down the side of my neck. His kisses soon came with a stinging pleasure, letting me know there would be red marks blooming across my skin soon.
Kenshin continued to trail his kisses down my body, kissing my collar bones, and I soon felt his tongue come out to play as soon as he reached my breasts. “Hmm…Kenshin…” I moaned as I arched into him, my body seeking to be closer to his.
“Yes, come undone for me.” Kenshin told me as he slid his hands to my hips, his lips continuing their journey down the front of my body. He was soon parting my thighs, his head dipping down and his tongue coming out to play with my sensitive bud, sending white hot heat spiking through me.
“Ah…Kenshin…” I moaned, my back arching.
Kenshin continued to stimulate me, his tongue twisting and moving in ways I didn’t think possible. Each stroke of his tongue sent another shock of pleasure through me, building until I was seeing stars as my release barrelled through me.
“Kenshin!” I cried out.
Kenshin continued to pleasure me, bringing me to release after release and denying himself his own. “K-ken…shin…” I said as I breathlessly came down from another high, Kenshin slowly kissing up the front of my body.
“I love the way you look, writhing beneath me.” Kenshin said between kisses to my body before his face was resting over mine. He positioned himself between my legs, slowly slipping inside.
“Hah…Kenshin…y-you’re…insatiable tonight.” I said, breathless as I wrapped my trembling arms and legs around him.
Kenshin kissed my brow. “I’m sorry…I can’t help myself.” He said. “When I see what you share with him…things that I’ll never be able to share with you…it makes me want to share in the thing you share with only me.”
“Kenshin…” I looked up at him questioningly. I was used to Shingen’s flirting by this point and I thought Kenshin had even mostly grown numb to it. He became easier to settle down now. “There’s nothing I share with Shingen…”
“Not him.” Kenshin replied. “Sasuke…you are both from the same time. A time I will never see.”
I lifted my hand to rest on his cheek. “None of that matters. My heart is yours Kenshin…as is the rest of me.”
Kenshin turned his head to kiss the palm of my hand. “As I am yours.” He replied. “Which is why I feel such strong jealousy and desire all mixed up when it comes to you…I’m sorry.”
I smiled up at him. “I don’t mind.” I replied. “Especially when it results with you loving me so well…jealousy seems to be a great motivator for you.”
Kenshin smiled at me. “You indulge me too much, my love.” He told me before capturing my lips and beginning to thrust into me, continuing our long night of pleasure.

Kenshin - Heat 🥵
for @scruffymctee This one is quite spicy. A little hotter than I intended when I sat down to write xD Approx. 1400 words of some very NSFW time with Kenshin.
Kenshin found Mai in the garden. He watched her from the castle eaves as she walked along the garden paths, checking on the new plants. Only a few months ago, this space was reduced to sand and rock. The casualty of a - a misunderstanding. Kenshin still felt a slight wobble in his gut as he thought about her getting hurt, but he understood now.
There were days when he still wanted to wrap her in soft blankets and lock her away in a place nothing could touch her. Well, nothing but him. He loved her too much to put her beyond his reach, and she made clear she wasn’t having it anyway. Kenshin smiled, remembering her fierce love.
She noticed him in that same moment and smiled back. “Did you finish your work for the day?”
“I did.” He stepped fully into the garden. The afternoon sun was warm, a golden heat that seeped into him as he moved from shade into the light.
Mai gestured to the flowerbeds. “I’ll be done here soon. Then, if you want, maybe we can have dinner together?”
Kenshin nodded. As if that was even a question. Of course they would have dinner together. “You could come with me now. There are servants to care for the gardens. You don’t need to do this on your own.”
“I know.” She gave a soft laugh. “But I like seeing them grow and feeling like I had a hand in it. Besides, I kind of feel like this is my garden now. Destroyed and rebuilt all because of me.”
“Then I should help too.” He moved to stand beside her, his gaze flitting from the seedlings to his love and back again. “What are we doing?”
Mai pointed to the soil. “I’m making sure it’s aerated and that they have enough water.” She handed him a small stick with three pointy ends. “Here, you can poke and I’ll water.”
They spent the next several minutes moving slowly along the flowerbeds. Kenshin didn’t think he would like such work, but doing it alongside Mai made all the difference. He could smell her light perfume, and watch the tumble of her hair as she bent forward over the plants. Sometimes, their arms or hips would brush up against each other, sending a pleasant electric tension curling through him.
At the end of the flowerbed, where the path curved along an inner wall, she stopped. There was a bench here and Mai sat down on it with a happy sigh. “I think that’s all of them.”
Kenshin sat beside her, his eyes drawn to her face in profile. The line of her nose, the curve of her lips. He found himself still in awe of her. Of this - a life he’d never expected and did not deserve. She’d taken the broken pieces of him and helped him put them back together. There was no term of endearment, no words that could encompass how he felt about her.
“Hm? Do I have something on my face?” Mai rubbed at her cheek.
She was so adorable that he couldn’t help himself. Kenshin hugged her, pulling her up onto his lap so that he could hold her more tightly. He nuzzled her neck, and kissed the spot beneath her ear.
Mai squirmed and giggled. “Hey! What’s this all of the sudden?”
“It’s not sudden.” He tilted his head to regard her. “I wanted to kiss you since the moment I saw you.”
Her cheeks flushed with heat, and she glanced down, suddenly embarrassed. “I - you know, you can’t just go saying things like that to a girl. It does things to my heart.”
“Good things?” He kissed the edge of her jaw.
“Yeah.” She sighed happily and turned her face back to him, presenting her perfectly kissable mouth.
Kenshin took the invitation. His lips met hers with hunger. A desperation for her touch, for her body, that could never be satiated. It was a bonfire in his soul that burned for her every moment of every day. And when he could finally have what he desired, it only added fuel to that fire.
Mai gasped at the intensity of his kiss, but did not shy away. Her need for him met his own. Her hands ran along his shoulders, down his upper back. Her fingers tangled in his hair, tugging, demanding.
He gave her all that he was with his lips and tongue. His hand slipped beneath her kimono and up her thigh, caressing her. He brushed the edge of her soft mound, barely hidden beneath the linen she wore under her clothes.
That was when she did pull back, her eyes wide. “Kenshin! Not in the garden. What if someone sees? Or hears us?”
Kenshin’s lips curved up in a small, certain smile. “No one will interrupt. And I do not care what they hear.”
This seemed to satisfy Mai’s moment of worry. She wiggled in his lap until her legs draped around his hips, leaning in to kiss him again.
He took the invitation and let his hand slip higher still, fingers delving into her depths. Heat and silk met his touch as he sought the little bead of her pleasure. Her gasp told him when he’d found it. His world shrunk to the fire of her lips and the pleasure he stoked with the strumming of his fingers below. The feel of her rocking against him, the breathy moans he devoured with his kisses.
She called his name and cried out for god, made wordless, desperate sounds as he drew her on and out. His long, slim fingers curled inside her, thrusting in, sliding slowly out as she gripped him. All the while, his thumb stroked a rhythm on that hard little pearl.
Kenshin felt her arch and tense, then came the tremors of her pleasure. He kissed her, his tongue plunging as deep into her mouth as his fingers did below. It was as if he sank into her, drowning in her pleasure, in this one perfect blaze of heat and passion. But he wanted more. Would have more.
The linen undergarments tore easily as he pulled them away. Mai pushed his own clothes out of her way, as eager for what came next as he. “I love you,” he said hoarsely, his voice straining with desire and a passion too big for his heart to encompass.
“I know,” Mai breathed. And then she sank down onto him and he lost himself in her. The heat between her legs, the softness of her breasts, her mouth on his. Every stroke sent a jolt of pleasure up his spine as she rode him. Her pace was slow, as taunting as his fingers had been only moments before.
Kenshin ached for release, but she denied him, drawing him out as he had her. But he was not so patient in seeking his own pleasure. He stood and in one step had her pressed back against the garden wall.
Mai laughed softly and then moaned as he took advantage of the new position. Her hands gripped his shoulders, holding to him as he impaled himself with brash, eager thrusts, taking care to run the length of his cock against her bead of pleasure. It made every motion a torment of sensation. Filled with him, jolted by that hard length caressing her most sensitive spot. She trembled, her hips arching to meet him.
He felt her rising tension, the edge of another climax, one he would meet with his own. Kenshin buried his face between her breasts, kissing and licking the inner slopes, his lips seeking the hard points of her nipples as he nudged aside the frustrating fabric of her clothes.
Pleasure, when it came, hit him with a blinding intensity. Between one thrust and the next, his body came alive with heat. A roaring fire that burned through him into her. His body shook with it, his back arched. He muffled the breathy groan against her chest as she curled against him, shuddering in her own pleasure.
Exhausted and soaked with sweat, Kenshin leaned against her, his hands braced on the wall.
“We need a bath,” Mai breathed. “Gardening is dirty work.”
Kenshin laughed softly. “Well worth it.” He kissed her gently, savoring her mouth. Perhaps they could stay here for a bit longer, he thought. His legs shook a bit but there was still the bench . . .
Mai broke the kiss to give him a warning look. “Don’t even think about it. If we’re going for another round, it is going to be after I get clean.”
“Then we should hurry to the bath.” He let her to the ground slowly, already missing the feel of her in his arms.

Serenity - Kenshin Uesugi x Reader (Ikemen Sengoku)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Kenshin Uesugi x Reader
Prompt: pulling someone into a hug
Tag: fluff
Tumblr media
You stood in the center of the rock garden; you often found yourself out here when Kenshin was away from Kasuguyama. There was a serenity, a peacefulness here in this garden Kenshin built for you, a place he built out of his love for you. There was a connection you felt to him, to his love, out there that you didn’t quite feel anywhere else in the castle.
You closed your eyes; the sun was warm on your skin, the breeze blew your hair, long strands tickling your cheeks. In your mind, you relived past moments spent with Kenshin in the garden – late nights hand in hand gazing up at the moon and stars, sparkling from above, sharing in your stolen moments alone.
You heard a gentle rustling, and before you knew it, a pair of arms encircled your waist, pulling you into a hug.
“I knew I’d find you out here,” a familiar voice whispered in your ear.
Spinning around in his arms, you turned to find yourself greeted by your lover, his bi-colored eyes bright and smiling at you. “You’re back early,” you said breathlessly, taken away by his beauty.
“I missed you too much.” He pressed his lips against yours in a warm kiss; he tasted sweet like the sake he drank earlier. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders as he pulled you close in a tight embrace. “I just had to see you.”
You stood there silently under the sun; two halves joined in love’s sweet embrace. Memories made under the sun’s bright rays, you savored his kiss, his touch, his warmth, every detail etched into your heart forever.

Okay okay hear me OUT WITH THIS ONE sooo what if reader has like some chronic illness the can't be cured and they know their time isn't much long soo they broke up with their girl/boyfriend well if it's marriage then let's say they had a divorced saying lies that they don't love them anymore but it's just a way from them to not let them get hurt, since it's better if it's the reader's who's getting sad since they'll soon die anyways rather than seeing their lover be sad about their death, BUUUT before they die they gave an anonymous present for them. what's ur thoughts and who do you think will suit this scenario the most?
The floodgates of angst have opened, and the main victim seems to be my inbox. All jokes aside, though, this seems fun, so I'll try my best! As for who fits the scenario, it can be basically anyone in my opinion. But there are certain characters I haven't really written about much (if at all), so I think I'll give them a spotlight! So in this one, we'll have Kenshin, Yukimura and Motochika take the stage! Of course, I haven't written about Oichi either, but the poor girl has been tortured enough, I'll put her in something more wholesome if I get the chance. Enjoy your angst!
𓉸 Lies and Sickness - SB Imagines 𓉸
You were dying. It took you a very long time to accept, but the way you grew weaker and yet were unable to rest because of the strange aching in your body... it pointed to something being wrong. Every healer you visited was unable to help you, so eventually you just accepted your fate. But what you couldn't accept was your beloved seeing you waste away and die. Tired, hurt, and absolutely not in the right state of mind, you broke off your relationship and left, but not before leaving a gift for him as your last farewell...
𓉸 Kenshin 𓉸
Kenshin squints his eyes but doesn't falter, his legs firmly pressing into the sides of his steed to make it go faster. The weather assaults his face and hands with waves of cold rain, and the howling wind cuts into his skin. But he doesn't care. He is on a mission now... and nothing will stop the warlord from completing it.
Everything used to be good between you two. He was an attentive partner that always made time for you despite often having to go into battle. When he fought, he fought even more ferociously than he did before he met you. All because he knew he needed to come back to you. And you returned his affections in kind. No moment was dull around you, even if you both just sat in silence.
And then it was gone. You've been acting strange for a good while... and then you suddenly came up to him in tears. Saying that this is not working out anymore, how you wish to leave, and how he should just forget you, because it will be better that way. He kept up his stoic facade well back then... but it hurt. Especially since you weren't able to explain what was wrong. Did he hurt you? Was something else in the relationship unsatisfactory? But you only said the most basic information, before leaving the room, and his castle as well soon after.
And he let you.
A bit of time passed, and on the servants brought him a small box one day. Found while cleaning one of the spare bedrooms, she tells him. When Kenshin opened it, he found a small sake cup. His favorite one broke around two months back and he complained about the lack of its presence a few times. This one was nothing like the one he used to own... but still very beautiful. Well made, clearly colored with expensive paints. But there was no indication of where it was from, who made it or who bought it.
Unless...
That's right, you both enjoyed surprising each other with small gifts. Neither of you said anything out loud, but you paid attention to what the other wants and needs, before your days were brightened by something that the other gave you or did for you based on what you found out. It was a wholesome game you played with each other, constantly trying to one-up the other. And you left him a sake cup... when you were leaving too, clearly. You never went into the guest rooms as you didn't need to, so you probably went into one before leaving.
You still cared. And something was very wrong.
With that realization, one thing led to another. Kenshin sent out some of his men to look for you and figure out what's going on. Eventually, they found you, staying at your aunt's place. She was your only living relative. And from what Kenshin was told, you weren't looking too well.
And that brings us to now, where Kenshin is battling the elements to get to you. The lights of the village are coming ever closer with each sound of a hoof hitting the ground. Closer, and closer...
There.
He's finally arrived. He ignores the few village commonfolk that are rushing home and staring at him as if he was some sort of apparition. He got clear instructions on where he should go, so he ties his horse to the nearest fencepost and rushes off to find you. It's a small, inconspicuous house near the center of the village. He doesn't bother knocking, though he does slip off his shoes quickly, before barging into the home.
He's met with a startled scream of your aunt... and the sight of you lying down, wrapped up in a thin blanket. You look weak, tired... in pain. Kenshin does all he can to cover up the emotions bursting in his chest, and kneels down beside you.
"I know not why you decided to run off like that... but please. Let me share this burden with you," he gently takes your left hand in both of his, and you can't help but let out a sob. Oh, how foolish you were to think you could deceive him. How foolish you were to run away. How foolish you were to think that a cup will replace your presence.
He'd rather starve and drink muddy river water with his hands if it meant spending more time with you, however fleeting it may be.
𓉸 Yukimura 𓉸
Yukimura doesn't understand.
One moment, you were laughing about something dumb together after yet another succesful battle, and the next you tell him that your relationship has to end and you're leaving. And the next... Sasuke delivers him the message that you had perished.
They weren't moments, really. These event stretched out for a long time. But now, at the end of it all, it all feels like seconds to him. The day you met, your first kiss, every battle you survived together... the long nights spent talking about everything and nothing. Even the way you teased him about still being just a cub, compared to the mighty tiger that Lord Shingen represented. Oh, how he misses that cheeky smile you had in those moments.
He hates that he didn't realize it in time. How tired you looked and why his beloved lord bid you stay in the castle instead of fight. That whenever he noticed something wrong, he let himself be brushed off so easily. How far does his foolishness reach? Of course you weren't okay.
And he's bitter about the gift too. The one you left him. A new pair of spears that fit in his hands as if he was born with them. This whole time, he thought they were from someone else- someone who wanted to cheer him up after you took your leave so suddenly. Sasuke would do something like that. Even his Lord would if he was concerned enough. Maybe even one of his other comrades.
But of course they were from you. You always admired how he wielded them, and oh, such a show off he was sometimes. But only for you.
Now, Yukimura holds them once more, staring at your headstone. He didn't even get to say goodbye, and that probably hurts the most. He would have been there. So why didn't you tell him?
Yukimura doesn't understand. But he knows that in some twisted way, you meant well. And so he will wield the weapons you left for him, and when he dies, you will have nothing to tease him about anymore.
He'll keep living as long as he can, and make you proud.
𓉸 Motochika 𓉸
You wake up feeling oddly... warm. You think that maybe you died already. Well, afterlife seems quite comfortable, you think to yourself. Until a jolt of pain forces your eyes open, that is. Not only are you still alive, still ill... you are face to face with Motochika. The one you tried to run from, to spare him from seeing you waste away. The one you wanted to grow old with, once.
The warmth comes from his arms, which are gripping you tightly, but not so much that it hurts.
"You're awake..." he gasps, before he grits his teeth, forcing his tears to stay in his eyes. "Do you have any idea how worried I was?!"
You have no answer for him, only managing to weakly look away. His breathing gets heavier, and you can feel his warm, half-bare chest rising and falling i nrapid succession.
"First you tell me this isn't working out anymore... then I suddenly find a nice gift in my cabin... and then the others tell me they found you half-dead in a boat that you stole from me," he continues, his voice filled with frustration. "Did you really think I'm so dumb I wouldn't realize who it's from? And were you really so stupid to think that a damn gift can replace you?! And that my love for you would just stop when you left?!"
His voice gets progressively louder, as it does when he's dealing with feelings that are too much for him. He never hid how he felt, unlike you. A roughly made, yet beautiful open book you could read over and over again. And right now, its words are those of sadness, guilt, regret... and undying love and devotion.
Please don't leave me like this, say his eyes, never again.
"You're such an idiot sometimes," he growls, before his voice softens once more. "But you're my idiot. And I was stupid too, for not noticing how badly you've been feeling. So stupid..."
Motochika holds your trembling body closer to him and runs his finger through your hair, the gesture meant to calm you both.
"Look... I'll admit, finding out you're really sick was hard. But I can handle it. I love you too much to just let you go. You're the greatest treasure I've ever found in my life... and I didn't even need a map this time," he huffs softly. "You're a part of my crew, the most important one... and the other guys missed you too. I might not be able to heal you but..."
The pirate pauses, his expression the most sincerely caring you've seen on him.
"Well, we are on a ship, right? I'll take you anywhere you want. We'll have one last adventure, even if I have to carry you. If you want to try anything you haven't yet, you can be damn sure we're going to do just that," he starts to look a lot more like his usual self. "I want you to sail away into the beyond with a grin on your face. And nothing will stop me from trying to achieve that."
Tears stain your cheeks by the time he finishes talking. You're weak, and in pain... but you won't be alone.
Maybe the real treasure in your life was the pirate you found along the way.

DISCLAIMER: THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERS: KENSHIN UESUGI, LANCELOT KINGSLEY, COMTE DE SAINT-GERMAIN, AND LICHT KLEIN. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.
I think the nightmare I just set myself up for finally hit me. I just now realized what routes I have currently selected across ikesen, ikerev, ikevamp, and ikepri and all I have to say is- Shit, Im gonna be an emotional wreck, arent I?
The routes I currently have selected are:
Ikesen: Kenshin Uesugi
Ikerev: Lancelot Kingsley
Ikevamp: Comte de Saint-Germain
Ikepri: Licht Klein
Please ignore the fact that 3/4 of them are blonde-I swear I dont have a type. Thats a lie. I totally do. But its not blondes lol- God, I need to stop. I am not funny.
I dont know much about Comte's route besides that fact he and Mitsuki get married at the end of his romantic route, and that his real name is Abel. Funny story there! I didnt even learn his real name from his route, I learned because of fucking spoilers. Shortly after his route came out, I played uhh one of the wedding events and bought his epilogue because Im a whore- In the epilogue, they used his real name- So thats how I found out. I was a bit mad like, "Wow I just spent 300 diamonds get to spoiled. Wtf." But I figured Id probably forget because autism brain.
Which I did forget, until I found a oneshot book on wattpad that used Comte for the title, but then used Abel throughout the entire fucking oneshot without warning. I was maybe half-way through the oneshot before questioning, "who the fuck is Abel and where's le Comte? Oh- OH WAIT- ABEL IS COMTE-" So lil message to fanfic writers, treat your readers like idiot babies and put warnings for potential spoilers. Some people (me, im people) read oneshots without playing the actual route first. Im not actually that bothered by spoilers, Id just appreciate being warned first.
Back to the main subject of this post- I dont know if le Comte's route is sad or not. Knowing the devs, it probably is though. I already know that Licht's route is one hell of an emotional rollercoaster like holy shit- I hate touching others but Id gladly ignore every single one of my sensory issues if it meant I could give this poor sad man a hug. Ive been warned that Kenshin's route is a bit intense, but I just keep telling myself that he cant be worse than Nobunaga and it'll all be worth it in the end. To just shut the fuck up with your anxiety and date the pretty but secretly soft yandere boy. Ive heard Lancelot's route is sad, but Im prepared. Similarly to Mitsuhide, Ive already played a few routes before Lancelot's that he was a major part in so I have some idea of how his may end.
But all I see is that Ive set myself up for a potentially very emotional rollercoaster so in about a week or maybe even a month, I'll share how my potential mental breakdown is going.

Can Blood Piece Broken Glass Back Together? - Ikesen Kenshin angst fanfiction
Title: Can Blood Piece Broken Glass Back Together?
Fandom: Ikemen Sengoku / Ikesen
Pairing: Kenshin X F!MC
Genre: Angst
Warnings: This fanfiction includes sensetive themes like: suicide, mental illness, depression, self harm, blood and excesive drinking, Please proceed with caution!
Spoilers: There are some spoilers here, one of them being really important for Kenshin’s character development and to better understand him.
Word Count: 1700+
Description: F!MC has been feeling depressed and suicidal lately and Kenshin isolated her due to his jealousy problems, leaving her with no other option to escape her darkness, but taking her own life and breaking his fragile heart.
Enjoy!
It was hard to face life these days... It wasn’t the first time she had felt like giving up. Even before she travelled 500 years back into the past and found the love of her life, those thoughts were like an annoying guest to her, coming and going as they wished. Back in the future it was alright, times were much more peaceful and she could go to any of her friends or to her family, sometimes even seeking professional help. But now… Now her family wasn’t even born and her friends were mostly his enemies, enemies of the one person she was ready to call her own world, Kenshin Uesugi, the man who had imprisoned her heart, body and destiny.
Nothing particularly bad happened, she just woke up one day and felt… empty. It haunted her from when she was a teen, ever since she lost herself because she wasn’t like other girls on Instagram... She didn’t know how to express her emotions, that was one thing she always struggled with. And being with Kenshin didn’t help her with that.
Kenshin had his own demons that haunted his mind. They left his dreams after she had helped him, but he was still helping himself and couldn’t help her. That’s why she was really happy when she had a chance to see Shingen and Yukimura. Shingen was wiser and older and dealing with his own demons so he could always spare some advice or lend a hearing ear which was helpful to her. She could barely go anywhere alone to scream and release every damned emotion she felt, so she’d find her antidote in her friend Yukimura. Yuki would always bring a smile to her face and to that she was very grateful.
But that bugged Kenshin. He was sickly jealous and didn’t want them to hear her beautiful voice, to smell her beautiful scent, to fell her warm embrace as they hugged her to make her feel better, but he couldn’t be there for her. He was a busy warlord with many enemies. So, the only way to stop those haunting voices in his head was to cut them off. He asked his once arch enemy and his vassal to never show up again or there will be a problem. Shingen understood the hidden motive behind his threatening request, he was painfully aware of his demons and didn’t want his friend that he cared about so deeply going down that damned spiral of self-destruction again. So they retreated back to their own land, silently apologizing to her in their heads.
With no one there for her anymore, a new wave of hopelessness washed over her leaving her in even worse state, but like a sign from any gods there are, Sasuke, her buddy from the future, was there with her. He was a busy man, after all he was Kenshin’s employee, his own ninja, but he could always find the time for her, because she was the reason he endured all those four long years of ninja training, only hoping to meet her again and be able to help her. And even if their plans have changed, they were still in this together. Sasuke would listen to her and help her, even whrn she was at her lower points, when she was too close to the rock bottom, he would be with her. He could see her pale face and how much skinner she had become in the last months compared to a year ago when she first arrived in this time period. She didn’t eat properly, she didn’t sleep enough and those thoughts, anxiety and stress were eating her from inside out, she even left her job as the seamstress and decided to sit out her days on the veranda, looking out at the miserable garden that was once full of beautiful flowers with prickly thorns that made her bleed and hurt Kenshin.
Kenshin was once again hurt by her relationship with Sasuke and he didn’t hesitate to pull his trusty sword Himetsuru-Ichimonji on him. He cared for Sasuke, deeply, but he couldn’t shut those horrible, distorted voices in his head that were growing louder by second, telling him the curse and blessing that followed him. He could not be harmed and killed in battle, but everyone around him that he cared and loved ended up getting hurt or dying out of his reach to help them. It was eating him inside out, leaving behind only a shell of a man he once was or could be and a glass heart in his chest, hard to break, but once broken, hardly put together again, slowly killing him…
Sasuke was forbidden from seeing or touching her, only if she was in immediate danger and Kenshin wasn’t there to run to her aid. That broke her, leaving her with barely any hope, not strong enough to outshine the darkness in her mind and soul anymore. With all her loved ones now abandoning her or being forbidden to see her due to the side she chose, she was almost completely alone. There was one last chance to stop it all, to prevent the turmoil that was coming.
She had been alone for a week now, looking for a way to punish herself for being so weak without hurting Kenshin. She looked at that dagger she received from Oda forces before she departed from them in case she ever needed to save herself. ‘Should I do it?’ was her thought as she stared at its blade, pressing it to her fingertip, testing it’s sharpness. It could easily slash someone’s throat in an instant without much pressure applied, she was sure of that as she almost cut her finger and dealt another punch to Kenshin’s still fragile heart. Healing process was never going to be easy, if she wasn’t aware of that before, she was now. She just hoped it would be quicker, but she knew better than to rush him and risk all the progress, all the baby steps they made, going down the drain…
She snapped out of it when she heard the footsteps down the hall, announcing the early return of her healing lover. She frantically hid the dagger. Making sure she doesn’t cut herself, for the sake of both of their sanity. He greeted her as he slid open the door, shutting it behind him when he saw her face with a plastered smile. She is glad he was home in one piece, but she couldn’t find a way to really smile again. Kenshin must’ve been tired because he sat on the futon waiting for her to come and cuddle with him, but she was holding herself back. Maybe she should just talk to him about her demons, he promised to protect her all his life after all. ‘Yeah, I should just talk to him, I love him. He deserves to know what’s going on.’ However when she saw that beautiful true smile on his face when he hugged her, placing an affectionate kiss on top of her head, she lost all her courage to tell him and risk losing this happy Kenshin she loved so much more than his sad side.
That proved to be a fatal mistake on her part.
She couldn’t fight her monsters when it was too dark for her to see ahead anymore. The last light of hope extinguished its flame and left her completely alone and lost, this time with no resort to turn to. The antidote was now useless, nothing could save her. She was too far gone. She finally broke.
She was standing in the middle of her room, finally wearing the kimono she sewed last night using the fabric the Oda clan sent her, the fabric Kenshin would rip off her and burn out of his jealous rage. She wrote him a letter, explaining her thoughts in the best way she could and begging him to not blame himself. This time, it was completely her mistake because the only one getting hurt was him. She took a deep breath and muttered an apology under her breath before she slit her wrist, deep, causing her blood to splatter everywhere, quickly leaving her body. Sasuke was worried about her and he finally found some time to meet her with Kenshin being occupied hunting down some bandits in town. He silently slid into her room and saw a horrifying sight…
There she was, wobbling on her legs, losing conciseness by seconds, he froze to the spot, only to see her holding a bloody dagger with a pained smile on her face. He had to act quickly, he ran to her side, tying a piece of fabric around her wrist doing anything to try and stop the bleeding and, in an instant, he was out in the hallway, running towards the medic’s room, begging her to keep her eyes open and stay with him, he couldn’t lose her when he could’ve helped her. After dropping her of there he practically fell backwards down on to the floor, still covered in her blood and running his hands through his hair, drowning in unbearable guilt. His usually stoic expression was now painted with hurt.
Vassals learned about this and Kenshin was soon brought back to his castle, demons running wild in his mind. ‘What the hell was she thinking? How could I let that happen? Why was fate punishing mr once again, wasn’t the first time enough?? Wasn’t Isehime enough of a punishment for me??!’
But nothing could bring Isehime back… He is the one responsible for her death… He failed to protect his first love from himself and his damned curse that still kept him alive, only to torture him more…
Few hours passed that felt like they were years, he couldn’t bring himself to go to her side now, not when she was still ragging her war, fighting, the only question was to die or to survive. She may thought this was the best way to hurt him, one quick and hard punch to that glass in his chest, but it was the worst torture he could imagine. She was still visible, dying out of his reach. He sat at the veranda where she spent so many nights with her demons, downing bottles of sake, one after the another, and poured himself another cup, the one brewed in Azuchi, one he shared with her. Now it lost its special taste all of a sudden, causing him to push it off the table and shatter into millions of pieces, just like his heart when the final blow was finally delivered… One of those shards from his heart must've flew and stuck in her wrist, deepening the cut and therefore preventing the blood from stopping...
But, sadly, blood can’t piece broken glass back together…
The end.

“Aren’t you my gift?” (NSFW) Kenshin
Happy Birthday, Kenshin!
“Kenshin, wait,” MC moaned, as the God of War slammed her back against the wall, attacking her neck with aggressive kisses.
Kenshin’s large calloused hands tore open the front of her patterned kimono, and he began to palm her sensitive breasts, causing MC to arch her back and yelp out a sensual mewl of pleasure.
“Are you really sure you want me to stop?” he muttered, his hot breath tickling her exposed chest, causing MC to blissfully shudder.
One of Kenshin’s lone fingers trickled down the length of her stomach, which was beginning to grow damp with perspiration from MC’s body lusting after the passionate warlord. His exploration of his woman’s physique persisted further south, until he reached her soft curls, and commenced his teasing of her swollen nub. He gently massaged her clit in between two of his fingers, eliciting a small erotic cry of impatience.
“It’s not that I want you to stop,” she panted in between his provoking strokes. “Today’s your birthday, and you still haven’t even unwrapped the gift I made you. Don’t you want to open that first, before we move on to the other evening festivities?”
Growing frustrated with waiting to be joined as one with his lover, Kenshin uttered a low growl, and slipped two of his digits inside her. MC clutched onto the front of Kenshin’s blue robe and bucked her hips in rhythm to the movement of his fingers fluttering within her.
“Aren’t you my gift?” Kenshin murmured. “Because all I want right now is for you to give yourself to me. That would be the best present I could ever hope for right now.”
He withdrew from her much to MC’s displeasure, and pressed one of his fingers on the tip of her lip.
“Taste yourself,” he ordered. His eyes flickered with a burning desire, as MC opened her mouth and licked her arousal that had remained on Kenshin.
“Tastes good, doesn’t it? Now do you see why I hate having to wait to make you mine? Your body is more than ready for me,” Kenshin sweetly crooned. “Let me fully unwrap you and claim you as my own tonight.”
“Take me, Kenshin,” she whimpered. “Take me fast and hard.” Kenshin didn’t need to be told twice, before he discarded his clothing and stripped MC naked.
He lifted MC up into the air, and she wrapped her long legs around his toned waist. Kenshin clutched a fistful of her hair and nuzzled his forehead against hers.
“I’m going to make love to you all night long, until the two of us burn out together.”
MC licked her lips in anticipation and hissed when she felt the girth of Kenshin’s erection push into her core. Kenshin grunted as her warm heat encompassed him, and his cock greedily twitched while MC grinded her pelvis downwards.
“Ah! Keep going,” she squealed in response to Kenshin pinching her clit.
Her nails left bright red claw marks on his strong back, while Kenshin vigorously thrusted deeply into her pussy.
“So wet. So tight. And you’re all mine,” he hummed.
“Only for you, my love,” she purred, as her walls started to clamp around his shaft.
Their bodies quivered in unison while they both found their release. She sighed in a pleasant relief and Kenshin toppled back down onto the futon, keeping a firm grasp onto MC. Gazing at her, Kenshin caressed the side of her face, and basked in the radiance of her beauty.
“Happy birthday, Kenshin,” MC breathed. Kenshin coddled her against his chest, and he massaged the side of her arms.
“Thank you for being a wonderful present. Although, a greedy man such as myself, is always ready for more.”
Kenshin flipped MC over and mounted her, ready to accept each and every present she was willing to gift him throughout the night.

Kenshin Uesugi - Desire | Kenshin x Reader
Summary: Kenshin has a secret safe house where he takes you after kidnapping you from Nobunaga's grasp. There you wait for Nobunaga to arrive...
Tumblr media
I stare at the bottom of the cage. My fingers are dirty from the game of Tic-Tac-Toe I played with myself in the muddy floor.
I don’t mind playing captive. I know Nobunaga will come for me soon enough and that I am ultimately safe, but this boredom, this boredom drives me insane.
This boredom and…
As if finishing my sentence, I hear the telltale sign of clad footsteps coming down the stairs toward me.
That man. Kenshin Uesugi.
From the moment he pulled up at camp I felt the infuriating need to kick him, scratch him, or both. The need only intensified after he threw me on his saddle and claimed me as his bait.
He wasn’t outright aggressive, but there was something about the way he sat so coldly behind me during that horse ride—so distant, yet so intensely close—that made the very air particles around me feel as if they could explode at any moment. His strong arm around my waist the whole way reminded me that I was caught in his storm. If I moved even an inch, the very wind would turn itself into a force of his madness and take me down with it.
I managed to survive that very tense horse ride, and after we showed up here he threw me in this cage and left without a word.
But now he was back, and if anything, I could use him to break my boredom.
He stops in front of the bars, still dressed in full war attire. “How is my live bait doing?” he says.
“Rotting. If you don’t let me out of here soon I won’t be fresh enough to lure even Nobunaga.”
He smiles, it is both sweet and haunting. “My plans never fail. If I read the situation correctly, that man will come for you even if you are a corpse.”
I spit, aiming for his shoe.
He doesn’t notice.
“Let me out,” I say.
“Unfortunately, I can’t do that until you’ve served your purpose.” He looks over me with icy disinterest. “Don’t worry though, it won’t be long now. Unless that man has turned into even more of a coward than I thought.”
My heart angers at the statement, I lose any sense of fear I once had. “Nobunaga is stronger than you could ever wish to be,” I snap, “You are the real coward here.”
He looks at me with those cold miscolored eyes, his expression unchanged. “You may call this cowardice, but there is more than one way to win a war. I’m surprised spending that much time with Nobunaga didn’t teach you that much. Maybe he is turning into much lesser of a man than I thought him out to be…”
“I’m not talking about your dumb war,” I say, the anger building inside me. “I’m talking about this dumb cage. What? You think if you open it you won’t be able to stop me? Afraid of what I may do? That sounds pretty cowardly to me. The great Kenshin Uesugi, can’t even handle one woman.”
At this, he grits his teeth.
I smile. I’ve finally made a dent in that cold façade.
His offset-colored eyes narrow at me, and for a second I remember the feeling I felt on horseback—that fear mixed in with a little bit of wild intrigue.
He smiles, it is the softest of smiles, just the corners of his mouth as if he can’t handle anymore. “Very well,” he says, “I’ll take you up on your challenge, however silly it may be.”
He walks over to the bars and produces a set of keys.
I watch the act, a little bit surprised to see him carrying them with him. At least he’s a man that owns up to his actions.
The cage door swings open, and I find myself with an unobscured view of Kenshin.
For a moment I am taken off-guard by the fullness of his presence.
He stands like a cold mountain in the way of my freedom. I find myself wondering how a man can be so silent, so intensely chilly, and yet so full of commanding life.
Kenshin smiles, slightly amused now. “Well, it looks like the little lamb didn’t think too far in this plan—"
I bolt. There’s not much else I can do.
I mark the bit of space between him and the door and break for it.
I only get about two steps, however, before his strong arm hooks around my waist.
I am winded by the impact.
He throws me back into the cage as if I weigh no more than a feather.
I land and wipe my mouth, tasting metal.
“So you’re not the type to play with your prey,” I huff, “I thought you’d at least let me get to the stairwell before making your move.”
“You are forgetting one important thing,” Kenshin’s voice is the absence of warmth itself, “You are not my prey.”
At this, he closes the gate and turns away.
Frustrated, I grab onto the bars and call out after him. “Maybe not! But your prey has a lot to do with me! And if you want to get to him, you’re going to have to go through me first!”
He stops and turns around to look at me. “Oh? I thought it was the other way around but…”
He is back at the cage in an instant.
He reaches through the bars and grabs my chin, pulling my face up to look directly into those cold eyes.
“Tell me,” he says, “Just what kind of spell has that man put on you?”
I growl, hiding the fear that pounds in my heart. “You don’t know anything about him.”
“That’s where I’m afraid you’re wrong,” he says. “He was once a man I knew well enough to want to kill… Well anyway, now I see that he is weaker than I thought. Weak enough to let a woman like you get in the way of his desires.”
He releases me.
I attempt once more to spit at his feet. “What do you know about desire?”
He looks at me from out of the corner of his eyes.
Maybe I’m imagining it, but I almost catch a glimpse of sadness in those icy blues.
“Perhaps nothing,” he says.
And then he is gone. Continue reading...

hello hello!! congrats on 300!!!
could you by chance do only one bed with kenshin or ieyasu?
let this just slide by if not, no pressure
have a good day :))
Thank you for following me and for the request! I am sorry it has taken me so long to get to this, but I hope it was worth the wait. And I did get the other ask where you asked for fluff. So here you are! And since I already did an Ieyasu one bed fluff earlier, so here is some Kenshin one bed fluff!
Through the storm
“Why do I always end up in situations like this?” I muttered to myself as I was staring down the business end of a very sharp blade, pointy end right at me.
“I told you to mind your own business, didn’t I lady?” The man holding the sword at my throat told me, a cold look in his eyes.
“You’re just a bully. Picking on the innocent.” I replied, hoping my fear didn’t show in my face. I had gone to a neighboring village to do some fabric shopping. I’d gotten separated from the other seamstresses when I had heard a man threatening a shopkeeper. I acted on instinct and spoke up. “And a thief. You came in here and…”
“A thief huh? That’s a strong word from such a little lady.” He said. “You should’ve just minded your own business…” He was then lifting his sword getting ready to bring it down on me. I closed my eyes and braced for the hit…but it never came.
Hesitantly, I looked up and saw a familiar black cloak in front of me. My eyes went wide. “Ken…shin?”
“What kind of man are you? There’s no honor in coming after defenseless women.” Kenshin said, his voice cold as ice as he looked at the man who had just been about to end me.
“Who do you think you are?” The man asked.
“No one you want to mess with.” Kenshin replied before delivering a kick to the man’s gut.
I watched as Kenshin easily beat the man, who ended up running away with his proverbial tail tucked between his legs. Kenshin watched the man leave as he sheathed his sword. “He’s not even worth the effort it would take to kill him.” He said before turning to me.
“Uh, looks like you come to my rescue again.” I said. “Thank you.”
“No need to thank me. I was just taking care of a problem.” Kenshin replied. He was then reaching his hand out to me. “Here.” He said, looking away.
“Oh…uhm…thanks.” I said, taking his hand and allowing him to help me up.
“Were you hurt?” He asked, finally looking back at me.
“My backside might be a little bruised from my fall, but that’s all. You got here before anything really bad could happen. Thanks.” I replied.
Kenshin nodded. “Are you heading back to Azuchi?” He asked.
“I probably should.” I replied. “I am sure my friends have headed back too.”
“Friends?” Kenshin asked.
I nodded. “Yes, I came with some other seamstresses that I work with, but we got separated in the crowds. We always agreed if we got separated like that, we’d look for a minute before heading back to Azuchi to meet up.”
“That is a good plan.” Kenshin replied. “I’ll escort you back to make sure you return safely.”
I smiled at him. It was funny…the strange friendship Kenshin and i had developed. A man who never liked talking to women, talked to me regularly. He had even given me good and he had come to my aid a few times now at this point.
“Thank you. I appreciate that.” I told him.
Kenshin nodded. “Do you have everything you need?”
“Well…there was one more fabric stall I meant to check, but it can wait. I don’t want to take up too much of your time.”
“I have the time. It is alright.” Kenshin replied. “Let’s go.”
“Alright, thanks.”
We then set off, Kenshin escorting me to the fabric stall I had wanted to look at. By the time we left, the sky had turned gray and it looked like it was getting ready to storm. “Oh and a day I would forget my umbrella.” I muttered.
“It’s going to be a bad storm.” Kenshin replied. “I don’t think were going to have the time to make it back to Azuchi today.”
“Oh?”
Kenshin was then reaching for my hand. “Come on.” He said before quickly leading me to a building in town.
“Uhm…where are we going?” I asked.
“To find an inn to take shelter in for the night.” Kenshin answered.
By the time we reached the inn, it had begun to downpour outside. A kindly old woman greeted us as we entered. “Oh, hello. The weather has taken a rather nasty turn out there hasn’t it?” She asked.
“Yes, we have come to find a place to stay for the night.” Kenshin told the woman.
She smiled. “Of course. Lucky for you I happen to have room. This way.”
Kenshin and I followed the innkeeper down a long hall until she stopped in front of a door. “Here you go dears.” She said, sliding the door open. “I hope you find it comfortable.”
“Do you have another room?” I asked.
“Oh, no dear. This is the last room I have available. All the others are full.”
“Oh…”
“It will do.” Kenshin said. “Thank you.” He was then paying the lady for the room before she walked off. Kenshin looked at me. “Come on.”
“But…” I said, feeling my face heating up.
“We’ve no other choice.” Kenshin replied.
I nodded and then followed Kenshin into the room. There were a couple of spare night robes laid out for us and thankfully there was a changing screen for privacy…however there was only one bed.
“You take the bed.” Kenshin told me as he moved behind the changing screen to change his clothes.
“Oh, but where will you sleep?” I asked.
“I probably won’t.” Kenshin answered. “At least not much, but I can sleep resting against the wall.”
“I can’t let you do that.” I told Kenshin, my hearing very aware of the sound of fabric on the other side of the screen.
“I will be fine. I have spent many night in a battlefield tent. This is nothing.” Kenshin replied.
While he was behind the screen, I took the opportunity to quickly change my clothes as well.
“Are you ready?” Kenshin asked.
“Oh…uhm yes.” I replied.
Kenshin was then stepping out, dressed very comfortably. I couldn’t help but to admire how handsome he looked in relaxed clothes.
“I promise, you have nothing to worry about from me.” Kenshin assured me, his hand reaching up and…patting my hair.
I felt my cheeks heating up from the contact. “I…I know.” I replied. “I’m just…I don’t feel right taking the futon all to myself.”
“I’ve already told you, it will be fine.” Kenshin replied. “You can rest up and then I’ll escort you to Azuchi tomorrow after the rain has let up.”
I nodded. “Well…alright…thank you.”
I made my way over to the futon and crawled under the cover. Though I did find it hard to make myself too comfortable, knowing Kenshin wouldn’t be so comfortable. It was at this moment that a loud boom of thunder clapped and the wind began to howl outside, the storm getting worse.
I let out an eep of surprise and could feel my body trembling. Kenshin was up and I heard the sound of his sword being unsheathed. “What is it?” He asked, ready to fight off whatever had frightened me.
“There’s no one in here.” I said. “I just…I don’t like storms.” I admitted, feeling embarrassed about being so scared of storms.
Kenshin seemed quiet for a moment and then I heard the sound of his sword going back into its sheath. “The thunder frightened you?” He asked.
“Yes.” I answered. “I…I’ve never done well with storms. I’ve been that way ever since I was a kid.”
“How have you gotten through the storms before?” Kenshin asked.
“Usually just trying to hide under the covers, putting the pillow over my head.” I confessed. “When I was little…my mother used to sit with me and stroke my hair.”
There was silence for a few moments and then another clap of thunder and the wind picked up harder. I tried to dive under the cover and that was when I felt hesitant fingertips in my hair. I paused, my brain taking a moment to realize that it was Kenshin’s fingers.
“Is…is this helping?” Kenshin asked.
“Y-yes…” I answered.
“What else did your mother do?” He asked.
“Sometimes…she would lay down with me and…cradle me to her chest.” I answered. “But you don’t…”
Before I could finish my sentence, Kenshin was lying down next to me and I felt his arms wrap around me in a warm embrace. My head was soon resting on his chest as his finger continued to run through my hair.
My heart suddenly began to beat faster, but not from fear of the storm. “You’re safe.” Kenshin said to me. “As long as I am here, nothing will harm you.”
I felt my breath catch at his words and how tenderly his hands moved in my hair…how delicately he held me. I soon found myself relaxing into his embrace, taking comfort from him. The raging storm outside now long forgotten…realizing that I felt safe in his arms.
Slowly drowsiness began to take hold of me and my eyes closed. I thought I felt something warm brush against my forehead just before sleep claimed me.

Kenshin perfume 🫠😍
Thanks for the ask Nonie! Here's some Kenshin for you! He enjoys Mai's new 'perfume' a little too much. Approx 800 words.
Kenshin lay beside Mai on the futon, curled around her as she sat, a book in hand. It was some collection of poems Yoshimoto gave her. She liked to read it before bed, and he liked to watch her. The little smile that curled her lips at the corners, the crinkle at the edges of her eyes as she enjoyed herself.
He was only a little jealous. And not even of the gift so much as her attention. Kenshin wanted her to look at him and only him. Except, of course, he also wanted her to smile just the way she was now too. And that meant the poetry book stayed right where it was.
His thoughts must have elicited a little sigh, because a moment later, she reached over to stroke his hair. Kenshin shut his eyes, enjoying the light touch. Before she could pull her hand back, he caught it and laid a kiss on her wrist. There was some sweet scent there, a light perfume he did not recognize.
Instead of letting go of her hand then, he pressed it close to his face, inhaling the new smell. It reminded him of something sweet, he thought.
“Kenshin, what are you doing?” Mai raised an eyebrow at him over the cover of the book.
“You smell nice.” He kissed further up her forearm and noted that the perfume was there as well. In fact, further kissing confirmed it ran all the way up the inside of her arm.
She was giggling now, ticklish in some of the places he’d kissed. And she was trying to pull her arm back, wriggling back and forth in a most enticing way. “Hey! That’s enough. I can’t read when you - when you’re doing that!” Her eyes were bright and her expression was playful.
“Maybe that means it is time to put down the book.” He tugged her kimono off her shoulder to kiss along her collarbone and up to her chin. Kenshin could still smell the light, sweet scent here, and he buried his face in the soft curve of her neck.
Her laughter eased into a pleased sigh as his lips found some of her favorite spots. “Ah - ok, let me at least finish this page.” She tried to focus, but Kenshin was moving again.
“Fine. Finish your page. But I am not going to pause for words that will still be written on that paper in the morning.” He couldn’t help the little pout that made his lower lip jut out just a bit, but he did hide it. Continuing his exploration of that delicious perfume as he kissed down her collarbone and nestled into her cleavage. “What is this scent?”
It made him want to devour her like a festival treat. Some pure sugar confection that would melt on his tongue.
Mai made a sound somewhere between frustration and a moan of pleasure as he found the inner slopes of her breasts. “I-it’s not anything. I’m n-not wearing perfume!”
Kenshin ran his tongue over her skin, enjoying the way it made her sigh. He could taste the sweetness on her as well as smell it. “Do not lie to me, Mai. I can taste it too.” His head snapped up. “Did Shingen -”
“No! I didn’t take any more gifts brought from his lady friends.” Mai shook her head in absolute denial.
“Yoshimoto then?” Kenshin’s eyes narrowed. If the maudlin warlord was responsible for the perfume, he wasn’t sure if he should thank him or kill him.
Mai shook her head again. “There’s no gift! No perfume!” She poked him in the forehead. “You’re imagining things.”
Kenshin leaned close as if he might kiss her and then bypassed her lips to suckle at her neck. The taste, the smell- he wasn’t imagining it. Her usual perfume was light and floral and it didn’t have a flavor. “Then you rolled yourself in honey before bed,” he said wryly.
“I- what?” She frowned. “Wait.” She held her wrist to her nose. After a moment, she laughed. “I know what it is. My sugar scrub.”
Kenshin’s brows rose. He had no idea what she was talking about.
“It’s from the future. My time. I wanted to try to make something like it. Sasuke and I put together a mix from -”
Kenshin nodded along, though he’d stopped listening at the name ‘Sasuke’. So his ninja was to blame. He would have to consider an appropriate thank you later. For now, he had a lover to devour.
“So anyway, I think I need to work on the balance but -” She squeaked as Kenshin plucked the book from her hands. “What are you doing?”
In one swift motion, Kenshin pulled her to the futon and rolled himself atop her, resting his weight on his arms which were braced to either side of her. “You have tantalized me with your perfume. This . . . scrub. Now you will pay.”
“Pay?” And that was the last word she managed before his mouth found hers. When he released her lips, she only moaned and sighed as his lips found every inch of her skin.

He almost desperately cried your name in happiness, hurrying toward you and kissing you as if a thousand years had passed without being by your side even if it had been just a few hours.
You jumped from your seat in the bench you were resting on, alerting the maid and the group of guards who were in charge of your safety.
With a nervous smile, you told them all to calm down, that you only felt a strong kick that scared you and there was nothing else to worry about.
Since you told your ever so loving and protective husband that you were carrying his child, you had been under the entire castle’s care, always walking with a maid and a group of heavily armed soldiers when your husband couldn’t be here for you despite his best efforts to not miss a single thing of your pregnancy.
The memory of the panic in his eyes when you felt your unborn child kicking for the first time made you smile.
Your personal maid bowed respectfully to you, making you switch your attention to her instead of submerging into your thoughts.
“Should we head back inside, my lady? It’s almost time for dinner.”
“Yes, that sounds good.”
The maid took your hand, helping you stand up despite what you had insisted previously, several times that you could do it on your own, but she had insisted it was also to give Kenshin a little peace of mind when she reported back to him.
By now, you were used to having all these people helping you and following you like silent shadows.
“Is everything ready?” You asked, lips curving into a cheeky smile that your maid returned.
“Yes, the cooks will have the food delivered and I’ve wrapped your gift as you asked me, my lady.”
Kenshin had done so much for you that you wanted to return the favor, even if you couldn’t really get your hands to work you wanted to prepare something nice for him, and you had been making a couple of gifts here and there when he was not looking.
You were beaming with excitement only thinking of his reaction, but you fought it go back to a straight face moments later when you were back inside your bedroom, waiting for Kenshin to come back.
You were grateful you didn’t have to wait for long. Kenshin slid the door open, eyes shining bright like stars as he took in the sight of you.
He almost desperately cried your name in happiness, hurrying toward you and kissing you as if a thousand years had passed without being by your side even if it had been just a few hours. He kissed your lips, your forehead, and the tip of your nose, and then his hands came to rest on your round belly.
“Welcome back.” You smiled, cupping his face and pressing your lips to his.
“We were waiting for you to have dinner.”
“So I see.” He smiled, laying his eyes on the table and the hot dinner.
With a small kiss, he parted, only sitting next to you after making sure you were comfortable in your seat.
Initially, it was a surprise for you that he tried his hardest to stop drinking sake after revealing your pregnancy to him, miraculously succeeding at it, but now one of your gifts was a bottle of the “legendary Azuchi brew” that got you together the first time. You watched his smile as he examined the bottle for a moment, but instead, he left it forgotten and reached for your hand as you both ate.
Falling into a comfortable silence that was only broken occasionally when he asked about your day and your health, Kenshin let himself smile when you told him that the kicks had been more frequent and that you were constantly scaring the staff of the castle with them.
“I also…” your heart jumped inside your chest when he looked at you, eyebrows furrowing in curiosity. “I have something I want to give you.”
You reached for the box you had been hiding under the table, and Kenshin snatched it from your hands.
“You shouldn’t carry heavy things. I have…” He frowned at the realization that the box was way lighter than he expected
“Open it.” You prompted with a bright smile.
Kenshin pulled at the silk ribbon, pulling the box open and unfolding the decorative paper. First a frown and then a smile. “What is this?”
You giggled, watching the biggest, most beautiful smile curve his lips, “Don’t you like it?”
Kenshin pulled your gift from the box. “You have told me about these.” He observed, holding the ragdoll of a bunny in his hand. “Stuffed bear, was it? But this is not a bear. It looks like Ume.”
“I really wanted our child to have a stuffed animal. It reminds me of your…multiple bunnies.”
“It does.”
He stopped to examine all the details of the stuffed animal, moving its soft limps and squeezing it to test how soft it really was. He admired your talents as a seamstress and the love you had put into this.
His chest felt warm with emotion as such a little thing.
Just to imagine, the child you growing inside you, a small copy of you or him (or even a mix of both of you!), sleeping and clinging to that stuffed animal, carrying it around everywhere like a friend filled his heart and spilled with droplets of joy.
Kenshin took in a deep breath, placing the small gift aside and taking your smaller hands in his to pull you toward him and capture you in a tight hug.
“Kenshin?”
“I can’t wait.” He confessed, placing a kiss on the top of your head. “I know there’s little time left, but…I’m impatient.”
He let his hands fall to your round belly, knowing that it would be so soon when he could hold you and your child in his arms.
You lifted your head, showing him your bright eyes and your smile. “I’m impatient too.”
Kenshin let his forehead fall against yours, holding you so dearly in his arms, unable to think of any other thing but the fact that you were going to be a wonderful mother and you’d have the most lovely child.
He just couldn’t think of anything more important than protecting you.

The Daily Escapades Of The Uesugi Family – Kohana Entry 1
A new series which follows Kenshin and Y/n's daily lives as a family with their three children. What shenanigans will their children pull?
Words = 2.4k+
Warnings = children, family
Excerpt = “I want to learn how to wield a sword and I want you to teach me father” as soon as the words left her mouth the whole room became silent and everyone listened in with curiosity and worry. She watched in confusion as her father’s face twisted and multiple emotions were displayed on it before settling on just one.
Tumblr media
Kohana is the 6-year-old daughter of Kenshin and Y/n. She is very smart and enjoys reading. She looks very similar to her mother apart from her most standout features of blonde hair and heterochromia eyes just like her father. Her adoration of Shingen is immense and they have a great relationship. Just like her mother she is also strong-minded and won’t stand for anyone telling her what she can and cannot do
Waking up before her parents, she climbed slowly off her bed and got herself ready for the day, even tying her own obi. After that was done, she padded over to her shelf of scroll books. Selecting the one she was half-way through, which was a study on amphibians. She sat down up her desk and engrossed herself into the scroll.
A short time later and her mother was walking through the door. Planning to wake Kohana up and was stunned to see her already awake although she had woken up early every day of the week so far. Little Kohana, hair already brushed turned to her mother at the door.
“Good morning, mother. Did you sleep well?” she questioned as she got up to greet her mother in a traditional and proper fashion. She bowed low, looking adorable the entire time.
“Good morning to you too Kohana, I did sleep well” her mother answered and gestured to the book that laid open on her daughter’s desk. “What are you reading today, baby?”
“A rather interesting scroll book that Uncle Sasuke picked up for me on his last mission. It goes into detail about frogs and newts and other cold-blooded vertebrates” she explained and her extraordinary brown and blue eyes lit up to be speaking of her passions.
“That’s nice sweetie. I’m going to go and wake up your brothers now so I’ll see you at breakfast” she left the room and Kohana walked back to her desk and subsequently placed her scroll back onto the shelf before leaving the room herself.
In the hallway outside her room, she bumped into her father. Being his only daughter and the one child who looked the most like him they had always had a special bond. Despite knowing how independent she was, he couldn’t help but treat her like glass.
“Good morning, my princess” Kenshin smiled at his daughter, one of the two most precious women to him in the world. Kohana bowed down to her father as she had done to her mother earlier. They kept telling her she didn’t have to be formal with them as they were her parents but she insisted that she has to do this, that she has to uphold the Uesugi name. Kenshin’s smile had a hint of humour to it as he laid a fatherly hand on the top of her head and stroked her hair gently.
“Good morning. I wish that you have a pleasant and productive day at work” she stated to him and together they walked to the main hall to meet up with her mother and brothers for breakfast.
When they got there, Kensuro her older brother was running around with her younger brother called Chisai. Her mother was trying to get them to calm down and eat breakfast. Already seated were Shingen and Yukimura who were residing in Kasugayama for a short while on a visit. As soon as she saw Shingen, she broke her stiff and polished demeanour and smiled widely, much to Kenshin’s dismay.
She walked over and sat next to Shingen and her stiff well-mannered wall was now back up. Kenshin sat to the other side of Kohana and watched Shingen like a hawk. Next to Kenshin was his wife Y/n and next to her were their sons. During breakfast, they all partook in conversation of trivial and non-trivial matters.
Shingen and Kohana spent their time eating stew and rice while Shingen explained what he had been doing lately and how things were going in Kai while Kohana hung on his every word but didn’t forget decorum.
Sasuke walked in late and Kensuro pulled him over to sit next to him. Yukimura’s face twisted with mild jealousy. The head of the Nokizaru told him of new ninja tricks that he had learned and Sasuke promised to teach them to the young lord in the future. Meanwhile, Y/n looked mildly annoyed knowing she would have to deal with even more of her son’s tricks.
After breakfast, everyone went off to work or to learn for the day.
A while later and Kohana had reached a good stopping point in her studies and decided to go for a walk around the castle. She heard her brother’s laughter coming from the training hall and went to see what was going on. Inside Kenshin happened to also be taking a break and her mother was there too and, in the middle, Kensuro was training with Kenshin. Recently Kensuro had hit a stage in his childhood where he wanted to grow up fast and become a samurai and he had taken to sparring with his father and learning the art of the sword.
Her mother noticed her when she entered the room and called her over to her side. Kohana went over and looked to the middle of the room, watching as her brother became increasingly more exhausted while her father never broke a sweat.
“Don’t you think your brother is improving, Kohana?” her mother asked and looked down at her daughter. The love for her child’s successes was clear in her eyes.
Kohana did not have much knowledge but she nodded anyways and looked back to the match. It hit her then as she watched her father. She always knew everything about all different things but sword fighting was not one of them. Just the idea of being ill-informed about a subject or topic was something she could just not stand. She was more of an etiquette and studying girl but surely, she could study the sword and how to wield one and end up being good at it.
Kohana left the room shortly after, almost running down the hallway and breaking her code of being perfect at all times. She was impatient to get back to her books. Remembering that she did not have books on swords in her room or anything that requires a physical action, she took a detour to the archives and selected a few books that seemed to have decent knowledge of swords of the organised shelves.
Pouring over the books for the rest day she didn’t even realize how late it had gotten when her mother came in to tuck her into bed. She hadn’t even realized that she had skipped dinner and read right through it. She hid the book quickly and said goodnight to her mother and then her father who came in afterwards. As soon as they were gone, she hopped out of bed to fetch the book from its hiding place and took it back to bed with her. She stayed up all night reading the books and by the time morning came she was determined to start her training as well.
As soon as the new day was underway and everyone was off doing their duties. She made sure to catch her father on one of his breaks. She led him to the training hall which was already occupied yet again by her brother and her mother watching over him. Kenshin was unclear over what purpose she could possibly have to take him to this room. They stopped in the middle of the polished but scuffed floor.
“I want to learn how to wield a sword and I want you to teach me father” as soon as the words left her mouth the whole room became silent and everyone listened in with curiosity and worry. She watched in confusion as her father’s face twisted and multiple emotions were displayed on it before settling on just one.
“No” the answer that her father gave her was firm and final and she started to become annoyed. Her mother watched in trepidation and her brother stood silently.
“Why can’t I?, you are teaching Kensuro so why can’t you teach me as well?” she asked befuddled. Y/n being her mother meant that the young girl got to do whatever she wanted even if it went against the norms for girls in this era, well that is until now.
“Because you are my daughter and should any harm find its way to you, I will cut it down before it can touch you. There is no need for you to ever hold a sword” her father spoke back resolutely and even though she felt it was unfair, she could not answer back to her father and simply bid fare well to her him and turned around and did the same to the others in the room. Her mother looked as if she had something to say, similar memories of the past perhaps, swirling in her eyes.
That evening when Y/n and Kenshin were getting ready for bed, Y/n asked to talk to him and broached the subject that was mentioned earlier in the day.
“You know how strong willed she is, even though you’ve told her no, she will still find a way to do it” Y/n stated as they were setting up the covers on the futon.
Kenshin sighed. “That reminds me of someone” he flashed her a nostalgic smirk and her heart skipped a beat but she quickly shook her head to clear away the improper thoughts.
“If you treat her too differently, she might come to dislike you, she’s already extremely different from you in terms of personality” she told him, she hated to admit it but it was true. Their daughter might lose more of the bond she had with her father if he did not treat her the same way that he treats her brothers, especially if he curbs her individuality and independency.
“I know” the expressions on Kenshin’s face were so torn and conflicted. Y/n walked over and wrapped her arms around his waist. This is what they did, they were very supportive of each other. Kenshin’s eyes widened slightly as he looked down at her.
“Remember, you taught me for a time?” she looked up at him, eyes shining with the fond memories of those days. Her wish for her daughter was that, she could do anything she dreamed of. “You two had such a deep bond, but now she’s become something of a maverick and you don’t share any interests anymore” she had such a sad look in her eyes. Kenshin was weak for it and it hit him then that if he didn’t do something soon, they might become estranged from each other.
“I don’t want her to feel that weight, to bare that responsibility. If anything, I want to keep her as safe as possible so she never has to worry about the side of the word that is cast in shadows” he bared his heart to his lover and she nodded along but by the time they were ready to sleep, Kenshin had sided with the part of him that didn’t want to lose his daughters love.
The next day, in the early hours of the morning, Kohana was up and had tip toed to the training hall to swipe a wooden practice sword and she now proceeded to swing it around at the back of the garden, hidden away from everyone.
She would not take her father’s ‘no’ as an answer. Her parents had kept her protected from all evil parts of society and so she had always done whatever she wanted, with no worries for the danger it harboured or for her safety.
Unbeknownst to Kohana, her father Kenshin had also woken up early that day and had headed to her room only to find her room empty. A maid told him that the young lady had gone out to the gardens, now he searched for her and it wasn’t long before he heard the faint and quiet worn-out groans and grunts of his daughter coming from the far corner of the beautifully decorated garden.
He was stunned to see that his wife was right as he moved to stand behind a bush and silently watched his young daughter try to raise her sword and bring it down in an arc.
Tiny sweat droplets dripped down her cherub cheeks and frustration was plain on her face. She was starting to realize that just reading a couple books on the topic, does not make you equipped to actually perform the task.
Kenshin watched her a little longer until Kohana somehow hit herself upside the head with the wooden sword and a little ‘ouch’ slipped past her lips. He walked out, making his presence clear. Little Kohana’s eyes widened knowing she had been caught and she attempted to hide the sword behind her small body.
A soft smile emerged onto Kenshin’s face as he approached his daughter and laid his hand on where she had hurt herself. Kohana fidgeted under the pressure of her father’s hand, thinking she was in trouble and going to get shouted at for going behind his back to do something he specifically told her not to do.
He knelt down on the grass, not caring about the dewy state it was in due to it being morning. When he was on her level, he wrapped his arms around her and gently hugged her before releasing her and looking seriously into her mismatched eyes.
“If you want to learn, I will teach you. It’s not going to be easy and I don’t expect you to ever have to use the skills I instil in you. Are you still willing to try?” Kenshin’s gaze was resolved and firm when he told her this. Despite her only being 6 years old, he knew he could talk to her like an adult and treat her as such.
She met her father’s gaze with a committed and genuine one of her own and nodded her head. “I’m prepared father, I want to give it a go so please teach me” she bowed down to him but this time as a student to her master.
Kenshin kept his promise and later that day many people in the castle came to the training hall to watch their first lesson, including Y/n who had a bright and wide simper plastered on her face and her brothers were there and so were Shingen, Yukimura and Sasuke and many of her fathers’ vassals.
He instructed her as strict as he did when training with her older brother but not once, did he forget that this was his precious daughter he was lifting a weapon up to.
