Mating Season
I walked into Le Comte’s study. “Sebastian said you wanted to see me?” I asked as I stepped inside.
“Ah, yes, come have some tea with me, ma cherie.” Le Comte greeted me with a warm smile. “I just had something I wanted to discuss with you.”
“Oh?” I asked, sitting down in a chair opposite Comte as he poured tea for the two of us. “What is it?”
“Well…it’s more of a warning I feel I should give you.”
“A warning? About what? Has there been something happening in town?” I asked, worried.
“No, nothing like that.” Le Comte replied. “I just thought with spring being in the air, I should tell you about something that can happen to vampires, at least for those who have found someone they love.”
“Yes?”
“Sometimes…during spring after, finding a lover, some vampires…experience a…mating season if you will, during the spring.” Comte explained.
“Mating season?” I asked.
“Yes, female vampires will experience a, something like a heat and male vampires will go into …something like a rut. Experiencing very intense desires to be with the one they love and possibly conceive a child.”
“Are…are you saying this might happen with Napoleon?” I asked, my eyes going wide as my cheeks reddened.
“It’s possible, but the desire might not be as strong with a lesser vampire as it would be with a pureblood vampire.” Comte said. “But I thought you should know so you can be prepared.”
I nodded. “Thank you, Comte.” I replied.
Comte and I chatted a few more moments before I was returning to my chores. My mind couldn’t help but to wander to my conversation with Comte. Nor could I stop myself from thinking what it might be like if Napoleon did experience this rut, mating season thing. We had been discussing the possibility of having children recently…and if he really wanted to and had such an intense desire…could I ever really resist? I don’t think I could.
I found myself in the room Napoleon and I shared, putting away the days laundry and changing the sheets. I was bent over the bed, smoothing out the sheets when I felt two strong, familiar arms wrap around my waist. He pulled me closer and I felt his nose nuzzling against my neck.
“Napoleon…”
“Mmmm…nunuche, you…smell extra sweet today.” He breathed into my ear.
I felt a shiver run down my spine. Was this what Comte was talking about. “Oh? I haven’t done anything special.” I replied.
“No, new perfume?” Napoleon asked, sliding his nose along my neck as he breathed in my scent.
“N-no…”
“Then…it must be you, nunuche.” He said, placing a kiss on the side of my neck. “It’s quite an intoxicating scent.”
“N-Napoleon…” I gasped as yet another delightful shiver made its way down my spine. “I-I need to…finish up my…work for the day.”
“Mmm…you can always get back to that later, nunuche.” Napoleon replied, his voice practically a purr in my ear. His hand moved to undo the top few buttons of my shirt. He was then opening my collar so that he could place nibbling kisses along the side of my neck and shoulder. “I can’t possibly think of letting you go right now.”
“Mmm…ngh…” I moaned with each kiss. “W-what can…you think of doing then?” I asked, my voice coming out raspier than I intended.
“Mmm…you.” Napoleon answered. “I can’t help myself…all I want to do is make love to you…and perhaps…get you pregnant…I can’t help but to think you would be even more beautiful carrying a baby we made together…”
His hand was slipping inside my open shirt then, moving to fondle my breasts even as his lips continued their sweet attack on my neck and shoulder. It seemed he was being affected by the mating season Comte had warned me about…but my mind was starting to become hazy and all I could think about was Napoleon’s hands and lips on me and how much I wanted him. Besides… he was the man I loved…I did want children with him…and he did make it sound rather nice…
His other hand slid down my thigh and then up under my skirt. He pushed my panties aside and then slid his fingers to stroke my sensitive bud. “Ahn…N-Napoleon…” I moaned as I found myself grinding myself into his hand, seeking further stimulation.
“Mmm…you’re already so wet for me.” He murmured in my ear as he moved his fingers back further to slide into my slick heat. “You want me as much as I want you.”
“Yes…Napoleon…yes…please…” I found myself begging, wanting him to fill me and pound me into the mattress.
“Then who am I to say no?” Napoleon said before bending me back over the bed and lifting my skirt. He ripped my panties off and then I heard him unbuckling his pants and then they were hitting the floor. I didn’t have anymore time to think before I felt him slipping inside me.
“Ahn…yes!” I moaned at the feeling.
Napoleon began to thrust, leaning down over me, continuing to kiss me even as he tore my blouse off, allowing him to plant kisses over my back. “You’re…so beautiful…and you feel so good…” He murmured against my skin between thrusts.
“Mmmnn…yes…ah…Napoleon…” I moaned as I felt that white hot heat building up inside me, winding tight like a coil before finally snapping and sending me over the edge.
Napoleon soon joined me in release, spilling inside me.
I had just started to catch my breath when Napoleon suddenly flipped me over onto my back. He practically tore off the rest of his clothes and mine before throwing my ankles up over his shoulders. I was moaning as he once again slid inside me and began to pound me into the bed,
Again and again, we changed positions as his hands mapped my body and his lips lavished me in affection. Both of us finding release multiple times. I had honestly lost count. I had just rolled over, from having ridden him, lying on my back and panting as I tried to catch my breath.
Napoleon leaned over and kissed my shoulder delicately. “Mmm, I love you.” He murmured.
I smiled. “I love you, too.” I was then turning to look out the window, taking note of the position of the sun. “Oh…it’s getting late. I should go finish my chores…” I had started to get up, but Napoleon grabbed me by the wrist.
I turned to look at him, a questioning look on my face. “Napoleon?”
“Where do you think you’re going, nunuche?” He asked, a devilish grin on his face.
“What…”
“Get back down here, we’re not done yet.” Napoleon said as he tugged on my wrist and pulled me back into bed, his hands moving to my hips and bringing them to meet his own so that he was once again sliding inside me.
“Mmm…Nap-Napoleon…” I moaned. It appeared my emperor wouldn’t be letting me go for at least the rest of the day…chores could always be done later…tomorrow perhaps…or maybe the day after…I might not be able to walk tomorrow.

Does scug pebbles ever get cured of his rot?
maybe :/
my plan of main events for the main story is like
moog and peb get separated
arti stops him from stupid (dying to scavs)
separated yet again because rot flare up make baby boy fall
suns find him and help :D
the rot almost consumes but it gets prolonged (hunter tells suns to cut off most of the rot because they can't do shit about it because structure kinda in bad condition :/)
they head off to spears cause better structure maybe help (also bc suns finished their delivery and wants to return to spear)
spears cures the itty bitty of rot maybe (or just reduces it because working on a slug immune to sedatives with a low pain tolerance would be quite hard :[)
then moog finally reunites with peby and lore reveal happen wow!!!!!! (and feelings and pebby rememby and trauma and sad but then fluff)
but uh it really depends if I want to keep the rot for angst purposes or cure the little guy for fluff and joyous whimsey. making spin offs is also a thing I can do so I think for the main au I'll just cure the small creature through what I mentioned.

Doing the Writer Bingo thing, considering myself tagged by @theartofblossoming because they said so
I got bingo twice!
Tumblr media
Gonna tag @new-eyes-extra-colors @bokatan and @nukanaptime if yall haven't already done it - blank template is under the cut along with me talking about my answers and writing - feel free to ignore it if you want lol.
Tumblr media
I don't actually have any of my fics public rn because I hid all of my old ones (they were HP and thats blech now), but I had... 13 fics, including a completed multichapter amongst a bunch of oneshots and abandoned starters, lol.
So I have had a Fanfiction.net account, but I never posted fic on there. I just read fic there. I also read fic on a bunch of other old sites that don't exist anymore and haven't for many years, but didn't have profiles on them. I don't even remember their names, I know some were primarily non-english sites that just happened to have some of their fics translated - some of the best fics honestly. I've only ever posted on Ao3 because it wasn't until I was basically done with highschool that I felt confident enough to write publicly.
Never had a wattpad phase. Never even read fics on it and I honestly click away if fic links lead there. I just don't like how it's set up.
My most popular oneshots were my two hard E rated smut fics, which rivaled by multi-chapter fic for a while but got overtaken by it while I wasn't looking, hah.
Some of the earliest writing I ever did was roleplay. I joined a Warrior Cats roleplay guild on the Neopets forum as a wee child. I didn't even know what Warriors was when I joined, I just wanted to play with cats. It introduced me to the series though, which became a big part of my life with reading and art. The roleplaying was fun for a bit but... well there were issues but I guess we were all kids. Didn't help that they were all American so I had to do weird hours to join events. I don't do a lot of roleplay overall, I've dipped my toes in again here and there but never anything dedicated. It's rather intimidating honestly.
I've never beta read anything or had a beta. I work entirely alone and prefer it that way. I just do it all myself and quadruple check everything and then freak out after posting and check again and again to pick up any small spelling mistakes that might've slipped past me.
Always been a nerd for researching. Sometimes I'll be researching something by my own whimsey and that'll become part of a fic after the fact, lol. I like when authors sprinkle in little bits of knowledge, and some of my favourite fics are ones that have me highlighting terms to look them up further.
I never actually had an outline for any of my old fics. I would just start typing up whatever came to mind at the time and post it when it felt ready. It's a miracle I finished a multichapter fic at all honestly. But I'd also be manic in my writing, being that I'd blast out one or even multiple chapters a day for a while and then randomly stop and not look at any of my fics for months or even years. I did begin to start fics with some outlines and collected thoughts later on, and I'm outlining so very much with my newer fic and not writing in a manic state anymore thanks to nearly a decade spent working on my mental health. I'm writing from a better place now, but I often look back at my old works and wonder if I haven't lost something over time due to the large break I took in creating, which is something that goes for my drawing too. Overall though I have a lot more hope for my future works being more planned/thought out and far superior to anything I've put out before - though I didn't get many complains on my old stuff, just a lot of very confused watchers who got overstuffed and then left in the lurch. Sorry.
The "anxiously waits for feedback" thing I think is something pretty much everyone feels when they put any work out there. I really get it with the immediate posting and having to double and triple check that I didn't misspell anything, or get something wrong, and that what I'm trying to say comes out clearly - as if people will point it out and laugh at me or something when I know they won't / haven't even had time to read it yet even though it's public. I've found it's best to just distance myself after posting and doing my doublecheck though, like just enjoying a game or an episode of something and trying to forget about it for a bit and avoid checking it too frequently. Like meditating, but with a distraction.
I have commissioned art for fics at least twice - but neither of the fics actually made it to the point were the art could be used. Oopsy. Was still fun getting the art.
So many unfinished and unpublished fics. I could probably complete that Danse/Butch smut oneshot I was doing back at new years...
"Editing and formatting is hell", I mean... I've mentioned my tendency to quadruple-billion-times check things twice now. This makes three.
Ideas in the middle of the night are the worst. I can't type shit out on my phone, it takes too long and I get frustrated (I'm also sleeping next to my partner and he'd question wtf I'm doing with a light on), and even if I try the ideas are already escaping like very agile moths. My condolence is that ideas that come when I'm half-asleep probably actually aren't that good anyway and just seem so to my sleep-addled self.
I don't need tea to write, but it definitely helps. That or an iced mocha. ... it's totally the effect of caffeine and sugar on the ADHD... I'll be bouncing up and down while I sit there but at least my fingers will be moving over the keys.

top movies of the year !! tagged by @sommerregenjuniluft who asked specifically for 10 and i will take any opportunity to talk abt films i watched <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
no pressure tagging: @sugarsnappeases @beaniebaby @casstration @bardofavon
Commentary on the films & honourable mentions below:
A Little Life (2023, dir. Ivo van Hove) this was a live show however i watched it as a movie and i hadnt even read the book bc everyone i saw who read the book was so deeply emotionally distraught that i avoided it BUT someone wanted to see it and i agreed to go with them bc it looked good and i like bonding activities. yeah its SAD AS FUCK. its complicated and devastating and very triggering at times and i recognised two of the cast and focused far too long on why do i know this guy but it definitely hit me hard as part of this years viewing experiences
The Book Thief (2013, dir. Brian Percival) this truly has been the year of sophie nélisse for me she has captivated me so ofc i revisited this and bought the book, both still as devastating as i remember
Talk To Me (2023, dir. Michael & Danny Philippou) HORROR OF THE YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!! oh this did blow me away this was so fun to watch and while some of the symbolism was slightly on the nose it was never overbearing to draw away from the plot it really was engaging and had some amazing cast
The Sound Of Music (1965, dir. Robert Wise) i hadnt seen this despite being on my list for YEARS !!!! but when i did oh i was not ready its fun its sweet its whimsical its political its interesting its sad its a musical
Saw X (2023, dir. Kevin Greutert) HEHEHE SAW !!!!!!!!! MANDY CAME BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO SAY !!!!!!
The Poughkeepsie Tapes (2007, dir. John Erick Dowdle) this was so interesting !!! many people consider this a very intense horror and i was expecting the worst but i think primarily the fear factor of this is that it is formatted as a documentary discussing the events and tapes although they are real and some of the content is unnerving but ultimately as someone who deeply enjoys horror i did find the format and the approach to this new style of serial killer horror so engaging and creepy, however i wouldnt recommend it for people who arent already into horror
Beautiful Boy (2018, dir. Felix van Groeningen) i actually started this in 2022 but couldnt sit through timothee chalamet reciting poetry so i turned it off and tried again this year but it was very moving and i have like 100 beautiful boy edits in my tiktok folder
All Quiet On The Western Front (2022, dir. Edward Berger) if you are going to watch a war movie: WATCH ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT it is very engaging from the perspective of german soldiers during the end of world war i.
The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008, dir. Mark Waters) Bring Back Fun !!! Bring Back Whimsey !!!!
Take Care Of Maya (2023, dir. Henry Roosevelt) oh this was Intense, this is a documentary about a real life legal case following the Kowalski family who have recently finished their trial against the hospital that put their family and their chronically ill daughter through severe trauma and suffering, it was deeply interesting and very painful but also so necessary for the many people who experience similar cases and circumstances. (Post Film Update/Not shown in the documentary: The Kowalski family has since won their trial and been granted over $250million for their trauma and damages. Maya is now seeking further legal action for other circumstances she endured during this time.)
Honourable Mentions:
[REC] (2007, dir. Jaume Balagueró & Paco Plaza) this was just a GOOD horror it had a slower introduction but once it got into the plot it was so interesting and intense and just a Fun movie which is interesting because its the second to technically include found footage (i have seen people call the poughkeepsie tapes found footage in some ways also) and i dont particularly enjoy found footage but this year it seems to have appealed to me more than i realised!
Uptown Girls (2003, Boaz Yakin) THE BOND BETWEEN A GIRL AND THE MESSY 20 SOMETHING SHE DOESNT WANT TO RELATE TO BUT DOES . "HER AU PAIR CALLED MY NANNY A SLUT BAG WHORE !"
Pamela, A Love Story (2023, dir. Ryan White) which is Pamela Anderson's documentary about her life so far and was very interesting even as someone who didn't know much of anything about her beforehand
Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986, dir. John Hughes) which is, as always, a classic and lighthearted experience <3
Totally Killer (2023, dir. Nahnatchka Khan) because it is so good to see a cheesy modern slasher just be Fun again, it doesn't take itself too seriously and that's why it was so enjoyable to watch!

ted lasso (really just way too many thoughts on season 2 of ted lasso)
me, in the middle of wrestling with yet another unwieldy twitter thread that no one will read: fuck it, what if i just made this a tumblr post? i hear tumblr is hot these days
so anyway, i am the last person in the universe to watch ted lasso.
i put off watching it for a very long time because i really hate obnoxious levels of twee in television — at least twee when it's not tempered by cynicism. this is why i barely made it through 2 minutes of OFMD, and why i really hate parks and rec and spent most of the 2010s telling anyone who would listen that it was a bad cheap white liberal political fantasy, only for everyone to eventually arrive at that conclusion themselves, much later.
the first season of ted lasso almost had me, though, because it was just cynical enough to make ted's methodical whimsy feel like a battering ram against pessimism. the whole of season one was very strongly and obviously, dare i say it, hopepunk. and that was just surprising enough to be a hook.
the second season is a lot trickier. maybe it's because i'm bingeing it, but it seems to me like everyone who argued the second season didn't have a point/central theme missed the glaringly obvious explorations of toxic masculinity in every episode. i read a lot at the time it was airing about how the show revealed itself midway through the season as being unexpectedly about depression? but even more than depression i think this season was about toxic masculinity — and especially about nate's struggle with toxic masculinity. when i went looking for reviews for season two, few of the reviews i found even mentioned nate even though it seemed abundantly clear his growing turn towards the dark side was the motivating issue of season 2 — and then, of course, it turned out to be the driving force behind the events of the season finale.
i think a lot of this was underwritten but it was always present; every episode of season two was focused on the ways the men of richmond — especially nate, who also had to deal with his imposter syndrome and everyday acts of racism, alongside his growing ambition and his justifiable sense of feeling sidelined and minimized by the white men around him — grappling with the ways they're socially allowed to express and experience their emotions.
perhaps that theme got muddled because of the show's obnoxiously twee trappings, which became so much more obnoxious this season once all of richmond adopted ted lasso's guide to whimsy (the funeral scene was the most atrocious example, as was the gratuitous way they kept shoehorning in excuses for hannah waddingham to sing, like are you kidding me? I HATED IT and hated it long before we arrived at rebecca 'my best friend's wedding'-ing her dad's eulogy, are you serious, who let this show out of the house). but it's very clear when you marathon.
(when i was discussing this with @earlgreytea68 she suggested that perhaps the show has a tone problem, and that the audience expectation built up by all this wholesome whimsey is for a doubling-down of the "ted vs the vague abstract evil nihilism of the capitalist sporting industry" of the first season. thus, viewers just aren't prepared for a show whose second season is like, "sure, exhausting amounts of wholesome fun, yes, but also in the corner is this character who finds all of this whimsy exhausting, and whose position as a marginalized brown man facing daily microaggressions makes all this performative bullshit a form of petty torture and a way of further alienating him."
I find that show absolutely fascinating, but i think EGT is right and that's maaaaybe not quite the show that season two became, because it was also sabotaging itself by idk implying that santa was real and having hannah waddingham gratuitously sing yet again, and idk that surrealist episode with beard and the pants, and having them stop to reverently touch the "believe" sign yet again. like, we get it, clear eyes, full hearts, etc, but this is not friday night lights, and the pathos that seemed built into 'ted vs the sports industrial complex' feels unearned when the show suddenly does a pivot towards plumbing the psyches of its characters while also still trying to be the king of twee tv.)
speaking of shows that were abundantly twee but never ever obnoxiously twee, i also keep thinking about how ted lasso is probably the closest cultural heir to the gilmore girls we've gotten? irresistibly charming small town meets perky chatterbox main character who distracts everyone from their insecurity with non-stop banter and pop culture references! i am not alone as it turns out because someone made a ted lasso/gilmore girls fusion. (edit: me trying to figure out how New Tumblr works: you mean i can embed this tweet but not interact with any part of it?! YOU MEAN I CAN'T DO CONTROL-K TO HYPERLINK TEXT ANYMORE?! wow wordpress, wow.)
all that said, i do think ted lasso is a show that is far more traditional than progressive. it glibly missteps too often to really age well, even aside from all the obnoxiously twee moments. like, this is a show that wants to confront toxic masculinity, but for plot points it can't think of anything better than drumming up random sexual tension between various straight characters. (and EVERYONE is straight, why is everyone so straight?) it's forced and lazy and so boring, and imo totally unrealistic. the other day i attended a lecture given by a trans woman who casually discussed living with her wife, her other wife, and their husband. these relationships exist, they are real and valid, and by now you'd think media would at least be better about being able to, idk, comprehend them instead of still being stuck decades back, tripping over concepts like cheating and divorce. honestly, catch up, just catch up to what real relationships are like in the 2020s! if murderbot can do it, so can you!
so anyway, I honestly feel really strongly that a resistance to queerness and even the idea of fluid relationships is a canary in the coal mine for forms of regressive patriarchal storytelling. if, in the modern era, a TV show or piece of media can't conceive anything beyond a 1:1 cisgender heterosexual monogamy as its outer limit for what relationships should be/are allowed to be, then i have come to see that as a bit of a red flag that this work is more than likely to be regressive rather than progressive, even if it's masking itself in idk progressive aesthetics or something.
to me, ted lasso exhibits that all over the place. there's the random forced pairings. there's its ambivalence about whether beard/jane is a toxic relationship or a quirky form of chaotic idiosyncratic good. there's the way everyone is straight because, again, really?????? two seasons into an all-male locker room and you can't find a gay character anywhere? (there have been multiple references to juno temple being flattered by the idea of lesbianism without ever actually making her ID as queer, and there was a baffling one-off joke in s1 about a character using grindr, which.... what is the punchline supposed to be???? these things are frankly pretty offensive.)
then there's the age difference combined with the power dynamic between rebecca and sam. both of these are far too great for the show to handwave so easily, let alone treat like some revelatory joyous thing for both of them, without any amount of self-reflection or serious consideration for how it might make sam vulnerable.
there's also the quite frankly absolutely unacceptable number of harry potter references in the second season of the show. we had absolute proof that JKR was an outright transphobe by June 2020, two months before the show was even renewed for a second season — so well before it was being written and produced. so what the hell were these writers thinking? seriously, what the hell?
(there's also me punching the wall over how glibly the show makes TRENT CRIMM, THE INDEPENDENT, just casually toss away his journalistic integrity by giving up the identity of an anonymous source like what the hell do writers think journalists are? a real journalist would never ever ever in a million years think of doing this, just to be clear!!!!!!! if this is meant however to shade the independent for its subpar editorial standards, well then, i have to admit they have a point, sob, but at least the fictional independent quite rightly fired the reporter who did this unethical thing, sob, trent crimm i trusted you, why did you let down the team like this)
even the stuff that does feel genuinely healthy about season two, like all of the therapy and dudes learning to be emotionally expressive often comes off as really gender essentialist. take the two conversations about "girl talk" and "guy talk" that bookend the season. ted's revelation, which he then passes on to the diamond dogs, that sometimes conversations can just be about venting (without needing to lead to an action-item list of things to change) might feel more interesting if it weren't framed as a girls/guys dichotomy. again, this feels so regressive. this show's gender stuff overall feels very idk late 90s to me. or like it exists in a universe where cultural views on relationships are primarily dictated by reality tv; such a show might feel clever and smartly forward-looking in such a universe! but not in the real world of the 2020s where your trans university lecturer casually talks about their three spouses and meanwhile you're quoting jk fucking rowling like it's 2007.
i wish i had something smarter to end this on than "so yeah that's what i think about ted lasso" and also "o hai tumblr it's been a minute"
but it's my day off so i don't have to come up with a snappy kicker. so yeah, i guess that's what i think about ted lasso! hi, tumblr! it's been a minute.

5 Things You Never Get Tired of Writing!
I was tagged by @shai-manahan (mwah, thank you)!
1. Mock-ups of characters. I like the pre-planning stage of character building where they just keep surprising you! I like exploring what makes this character this character and how that impacts them, people connected to them, and the world around them. It’s always fun when a character develops a habit that you hadn’t expected them to have -- like nail biting, or tapping pencils!
2. World Building. It’s arguably one of my weaker skills when it comes to writing, but it’s still soooo much fun! I like the inner workings of the world, how a city came to be and where the people who currently live there came from. Most of my inspiration comes from the LOTR and Hobbit series and I hope that I can someday match the whimsey that Middle Earth lore seems to evoc.
3. Horror. More specifically, I like body horror and monsters (shout out to The Fly). I like the visceral reactions that they can bring out from people and I like the exploration of people in the horror setting. What makes her the final girl? Why are they the antagonist? What spawned the events that brought all the characters together? Is the ‘monster’ really a monster if it’s just trying to survive?
4. Mean or disinterested characters. Especially the ones who are team ‘doesn’t want to be here’ but gets dragged along anyways and give the most brutal snark because of that. Mean characters are fun and I feel like they open up more exploration abilities than a character who’s more willing to tag along and be a helping hand. Because, what’s the motivation of a character who’s so disinterested in the world around them? Why are they here? I suppose this all loops back to point one (1).
5. Escapism. I like to slip into the world of the story I’m reading because the world is super tough right now and, honestly, I don’t think I could find a better way to cope than escapism. I like to feel happy and sad and angry in scenarios that I may never actually get the chance to experience -- not only that, but I feel like I learn a lot about myself when sinking fully into ‘writing mode’. I had no idea how much I enjoy writing sad characters... or that mean or disinterested characters could even be an ‘architype’ that I’d enjoy. BUT HERE I AM!
@souls-of-nothing-wip @magiciansvoyage @prettyboyhowl @lheurebleue-if @lil-blob (if you guys are interested, I’d love to see what you’re top 5 are!!)

The ultra-smooth wooden materials help here too, providing a comfortable wear
Tumblr media
The novel coronavirus has left our communities ravaged and worried, but things are slowly improving thanks to important protective measures like wearing masks, maintaining distance from others, staying home, and staying on top of hand washing. There’s still a lot of uncertainty surrounding what a socially distanced summer will pan out, but we still have sunny days and warm weather to look forward to. Warm summer days also means that it is time to play with all sorts of playful seasonal jewelry. Wood watches are some of the best among these. Want a little help choosing the piece best for you? Here are 5 affordable options that will instantly up your summer style.
SWISS WOODEN WATCH FOR MEN WITH SAPPHIRE FACE
For a summery vibe with a little added prep, this Urban Designer watch is just what you’re looking for. With a light and natural bamboo wood wristwatch, it feels appropriately beachy and airy – which will give anything you wear a seasonal vibe. Meanwhile, the soft sapphire blue face makes the watch classic, ensuring you can easily wear it all year long, during the weekday or the weekend, and hanging by the grill or working hard at the office. Together Again
I stood eagerly waiting at the gate, my eyes looking for any sign of him. When I heard the sound of horse’s hooves on the ground, my heart leapt in my chest. A smile naturally came to my face as Shingen came into view on his horse. He looked so incredibly handsome, like a prince or brave knight on his horse.
Shingen smiled as he caught sight of me. He slowed his horse and came to a stop, dismounting and handing his horse off to one of the attendants. As soon as he was free, I rushed over to him, his arms already open and waiting for me.
“Welcome home, Shingen!” I greeted him as I threw myself into his arms, wrapping my own around his middle.
Shingen chuckled warmly as he enveloped me in his embrace. “Perhaps I should go off to more battles just so I can be greeted so enthusiastically upon my return by my beautiful goddess.”
“Oh no you don’t.” I replied, pulling back slightly to look up at him. “While I enjoy greeting you like this, I still prefer it when you’re home…and speaking of battle, you weren’t hurt at all were you?”
Shingen lifted a hand to caress my cheek. “I prefer to be home with you as well, my love.” He told me.
“I notice you didn’t answer my question. Were you hurt?” I asked.
Shingen lowered his voice so that only I could hear his next words, as there were some soldiers and attendants still around. “I did suffer, but I don’t want anyone else to know. Would you mind treating me in our room?”
I gasped as I looked up at him. “Of course!” I replied, taking his large hand. “Come on let’s go.”
It didn’t take too long for Shingen and I to reach our room. Once we did I was instructing him to sit down. “Okay, where are you injured? Let me take care of it.” I said, going to grab the bandages and other first aid supplies we kept on hand.
“My goddess is truly a wonderful one. Wanting to treat me so.” Shingen said, as he sat down.
I turned back to him and walked over to kneel down in front of him. “Where is it?” I asked.
“Mmm…it’s here.” Shingen answered, gesturing to his lips.
“Huh?”
Shingen grinned. “My lips suffered a grievous injury and the only thing that can cure them is a kiss from my one true love.”
I looked at Shingen, blinking in disbelief before smiling and shaking my head. I did playfully bat at his shoulder. “You had me worried! I thought you were seriously injured!”
“Forgive me, but I couldn’t help myself.” Shingen replied, his arms reaching for me and wrapping around me, pulling me into his lap. “Though I do consider my lips missing yours to be a great deal of suffering.”
“Well…mine have been suffering similarly as well.” I replied.
“We certainly can’t have your beautiful lips suffering any longer.” Shingen replied, his fingertips sliding beneath my chin, coaxing my gaze up to his.
Our lips met in a sweet kiss. When we broke the kiss, I looked at Shingen. “Hmm, I missed you, my love.”
“As I missed you, my darling.” Shingen replied, resting his forehead against mine. “I thought of you every night while I was away…and dreamed of you every night.”
“Really?” I asked.
Shingen nodded. “Yes. Every night. I dreamed of coming home to you. Kissing you. Holding you…I dreamed of your legs wrapped around my waist.”
I felt myself warming at his words and how his voice pitched lower as he spoke of how he missed me. I looked deep into those gray eyes, seeing how much he loved me and desired me. I saw my own desire reflected in those gray pools. “Hmm…I think we could easily make those dreams a reality. I mean, we’ve already kissed and you’re holding me…we just have one more thing to complete.”
Shingen grinned at me. “I was hoping you would say that.” He replied, gently pushing me back on the tatami mat floor and sliding his body over mine. “I adore you, my goddess.”
I smiled up at him, wrapping my arms around his neck. “As I adore you, my darling.”
Shingen leaned down, bringing his lips to mine as his hands moved to caress my curves through the fabric of my kimono.
“Mmm, do not tease me, my love.” I told him, wearing a pout.
“What do you mean?” Shingen asked.
I reached and undid the obi at my waist, allowing my kimono to fall open and bare myself before his worshipful gray eyes. “I want to really feel you.” I told him, reaching for his hand and bringing it to my breast, above my heart. “Skin to skin.”
Shingen’s face flushed with pleasure. “My goddess is bold tonight…I rather enjoy it. Nor can I deny such a request.” He said, sitting up to undress himself before leaning back over me.
Shingen pulled me into his embrace, his large frame fully encompassing my smaller body. I wrapped my arms around him as our lips met in a passionate kiss. Shingen’s tongue danced teasingly along the line of my lips, slipping between them.
I eagerly met his tongue with my own, my hands sliding over the strong muscles of his back… good lord was his body amazing?! Shingen’s large hands moved over my body, caressing my tender flesh in my most sensitive of places.
Shingen’s lips moved from my mine to trail along my jaw and down the side of my neck. “Mmm, your skin is as soft as ever.” He murmured. “I’ve missed touching you over these last few weeks.”
“I’ve missed your…t-touch…” I replied, my voice turning to a moan when Shingen’s hand slipped between my thighs to toy with my sensitive bud. His long calloused fingers stroked me in the most skillful manner and perfect rhythm only Shingen could do. “Ah…Ngh…Shingen!”
“How I have missed the sound of my name being sung from your gorgeous lips.” Shingen murmured into my ear before giving a playful nibble to my lobe even as his fingers continued to stroke me, building my pleasure.
“Hmm…Shin…gen!” I moaned. “Mmm…I want…more…I need you…” I pleaded wanting to be as close to him as possible,
“I cannot deny the pleas of my goddess.” Shingen replied.
“Besides…we have to…make your dreams…come true.,.” I told him, giving him the most alluring look I could.
Shingen smiled at me, removing his fingers from between my thighs. He positioned himself between my legs. Shingen’s hungry lips captured mine, his hot tongue diving into my mouth even as he plunged his cock into me, filling me completely.
I responded, my legs wrapping around his waist, and my moans spilled into Shingen’s mouth as he filled me and overwhelmed my senses. In this moment, Shingen was all I could see and feel, he was the very air I breathed. His hands roamed over my body and his lips left mine only to trail over my neck.
“Mmm…I love worshiping you, my goddess.” Shingen murmured into my ear. “You always look so beautiful, but I especially love the way you look when I make love to you.”
“Mng… Shingen…I love you.” I told him, my voice a moan.
“As I love you, my goddess.” Shingen replied, kissing lovingly over my neck and chest, all while continuing to thrust into me.
My hips bucked of their own accord, meeting each of his thrusts. I wanted nothing more than to keep being close to Shingen. I indulged in the loving pleasure that Shingen readily shared with me. I could feel the white hot heat building up inside me as Shingen continued to make love to me.
“Shingen!” I moaned as I felt that coil that had been winding tight finally snapped, sending me into pure bliss.
Shingen let out a groan of my name as my walls clamped down on him, pulling him into his own release. His hips slowed before stopping, him remaining inside me. His forehead rested against mine, gray eyes gazing into mine with such love and desire.
He kissed me gently, lovingly on my lips. “I love you.”
I smiled up at him. “I love you, too Shingen.”
“Now…let me continue to love you. We have a lot of missed time to make up for.”
I smiled at him, lifting my hand to caress his cheek. “Only if you let me love you in turn.”
“Happily, my angel.” Shingen replied, before kissing me once again, our long passionate night only beginning. We would spend the night drowning in our love and passion for one another.

With this being the defacto series finale, “The Train to Nowhere” takes on an unexpectedly sobering meaning. Unless calls to renew the series are successful, this is it, this is the end of the line. The final season of the show spends its time more than 30 years in the past, meaning that all of the lingering questions from the previous three seasons - What happened to the previous passengers we’ve followed? What will happen to Amelia and Hazel? What is the future of the Infinity Train now that events have conspired to change it forever? We may never know.
On a less meta level, the episode title feels like a damning indictment of the train itself. For the infinite scope of its potential, the train is still going nowhere, forever running through a vast empty wasteland with no real destination. When we were first introduced to the Train in season 1, it was presented as a place of childlike whimsey, a place where people went on magical adventures of self-discovery. The show has picked at the edges of that image ever since then, but there is clearly a lot more work to do in the deconstruction.
Anyway, focusing back in on the story at hand. Ryan is at his lowest point, and we’ve got one episode to pull him out of it. Choo choo, mother fuckers!

Top 5 Claymation Stop-Motion Animated Films
Claymation is a type of stop-motion animation. This involves the movement of various objects and characters constructed of clay. Stop-motion is the process of taking inanimate objects, moving them a small amount and taking a picture. Animators have to do this repeatedly to shoot twenty-four frames for every second of animation. Due to this, movies designed with this style take several years to create. Although there are view in the film industry, the best Claymation stop-motion films will be presented.
1. Chicken Run
The plot for this movie centers around a dark conflict for a children’s film. Ginger is a chicken on a chicken farm. She and all the other hens are required to lay a certain amount of eggs each week. If they don’t, the chickens are considered infertile and axed off. Dreaming of a free-range life, Ginger constantly attempts to escape her fate before they’re all “plucked, stuffed and roasted” for their farmer’s dinner. Although this movie is rated G, it’s important to note the film may be too hard to follow for younger kids or too scary for sensitive children.
Tumblr media
2. Coraline
This film may be marketed to kids, but Coraline is far from it. Rather, this movie isn’t for little kids due to the appropriate PG ratting. There are many hidden horrors presented in the wonderful world of whimsey. Throughout the film, there are several scary moments and disturbing scenes. Some adults watching Coraline for the first time might think these certain events don’t compare to a stereotypical horror movie intended for mature audiences. Ironically, this film was based on the Coraline children’s book, which is arguably scarier than the movie.
Tumblr media
3. ParaNorman
Out of all the movies on this list, ParaNorman is the only non-kid-friendly film featured. Some viewers may allow older children to watch the film, but the movie has an appropriate PG ratting for a reason. There’s some adult humor and dialogue in the movie along with a disturbing character backstory. Despite the adult themes, some of the characters are good. Norman is the best character in film for a boy in his interesting situation.
Tumblr media
4. Corpse Bride
Tim Burton films are always fun to experience with their original stories. The simple plot is practically nonexistent, but this movie is no exception to the creepy magic of Burton. Despite the flat characters, the film’s visuals are attractive as expected from a Burton movie. Most children can watch the film and overlook or miss the disturbing situation of the characters to enjoy the flick fine. However, older audiences will understand the horrific backstory of the featured “corpse bride” told through song.
Tumblr media
5. Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit
Unlike all the previous movies featured in this list, there’s nothing for little kids to worry about in this film. Wallace and his dog, Gromit, are pest control specialists. Together, the silly pair work hard to keep their town’s vegetables safe. The movie is as weird as a kid’s film can be, but in a good way. There are several funny moments based on how the characters choose to approach their predicaments. The crazy antics between the man and his puppy pal are a joy to watch, even for older audiences.
