All the jokes about Ken and horses are good but I just wanna say it's such a good parallel to how actual young men get swept into misogyny and the patriarchy.

Like they're told to believe it means men get to be cool and manly and have this power but with that comes extremely rigid commands of what they can be as a man and a cycle of self hatred for never matching those gender roles perfectly. Patriarchy tells men that if they just do exactly what is expected of them, then they get all the "cool stuff" that comes with. That doesn't work though when there's only a small group that actually gets that power, but men will keep trying to fit into those roles in hopes that they can.

In the end there are no horses or the myth men are told, it's just endless cycles of self hatred and ingroup fighting.

Like in s1 he's proud of her, happy that she was there to save them and doesn't care about the injury to Troy, but in rink o mania, he was ashamed, upset and angry, even though both times it was El dealing violently with a bully.

hiya, love the spg fic rec collection!! i have two gen fics i really love that i wish got more attention-- a rough day at steam powered giraffe cafe (incredibly charming coffeeshop au that really gives a lot of love to every character) and dal signo al fin (a lil slice of life with six and the bots that i think also does a cool job of showing their thoughts processes). im not sure if these are addable, but i do think they def deserve more reads!

hello! tysm im really glad :D i saw your reblog of the post and went back to check which fics were yours XP i absolutely LOVE "Passivition"! the way to characterize the characters aswell as their thoughts/ internal communication with each other (such a cool detail) is incredible ty soso much for writing it! i dont know much about Fallen London but i also really enjoyed "Welcome, mechanical friend" the dialouge/general atmosphere was hilarious/super emmersive.

someone has probably pointed it out but i can't get over that, in theory, vash has extensive medical/anatomical knowledge

we see him constantly, accurately shooting to miss any vital organs or areas of the body that could lead to fatality. this guy has, most likely, actively studied all the vital areas an then memorised it all to miss

and he has some medical knowledge in tending to wounds! he's seen not just patching himself but others. i gathered he would be able to tend to his own wounds cause, look at the dude but i love that we see him use that elsewhere

it just pushes further his whole character / morals an it's just a very neat addition
