WEDDING AU! SPICYNOODLES!

[I love them both and I'll try my best to explain whats in it from this au]

This whole au lore is gonna take longer than you expect so try well- take notes or try not to get your eyes sore while reading-

Let's talk about:

Designs:

REDSON- So in that wedding- Redson wears a dress and that necklace she's wearing is his mother's ancestory necklace that was passed down on every person that is getting married.

The dress is color white [theres also shades of red ofcourse]

Mei is the one who braided redson's hair

There is a wedding ring from redson's left hand ring finger (not entirely shown because they have ofc lego hands.)

MK- wears a suit that has the color of black

That bandana's design- instead of red from pigsys he's having the color of orange and the two trail colors of green and red that symbolizes the traffic light trio which is mei and redson-

The flower ring he's wearing at his right hand middle finger is mei's promise. It's the promise they both kept about sticking to each other even if they are faraway.

The left hand from him is the wedding ring and the other ring Redson gave him as proposal.

JUST A LITTLE BACKSTORY: The Engagement ring was spoiled from a demon attack that yin and jin have been messing with them. The engagement ring is shown after the box flew off redson's pocket, when Mk saw the box he came into a big realisation that the whole date that was set up was for redson to propose to him.

But now it was accidentally spoiled and ruined redson's whole plan and it made them very upset to the point they almost got out of control with their own power.

When Yin and Jin apologized, Mk let redson propose properly since a while ago was an accident- Mei had to take care of yin and jin (not harmful way she just- took them out on like a snack and released em-) yin and jin had NO idea that redson was planning this.

(Mei talked out the stuff about this to yin and jin to make it clear)

MEI- Mei is known in the wedding as the 'best woman/man' one of those groom's right hand

Her bun tied hair has a trail of red that is aka Redson's color

And on her front bangs were mk's that are orange

At the back of her hair on lose it's supposed to be purple because it's macaque's since he and Mei bonded together like uncle and niece- but i lost my purple marker right there- the earrings designed that were supposed to be green- it was redesigned of having Mk's color since he was marked as the side who never left her

Mei wears a suit [thats already cleared because who does NOT want mei wearing one am i right? She's so girl boss hehe]

ABOUT:

Married [future au]

Redson in the future au- the samadhi fire is now back to his control than having Mei control over it because [I really thought it would be interesting since Mei already has her dragon ancestry powers so redson had his fire ability] there was quite alot of adventure the traffic light trio went through ever since before mk and red got married.

There was a power so strong that could transfer back his samadhi fire and almost took out half of Mei's consciousness thankfully she recovered fast.

Redson can now have full control from his powers now that the samadhi fire is in his control he's more stronger now.

In original human form for redson- he sometimes feel like insides of him are hurting and kinda really itchy for keeping his form in- and he was sometimes shy and thought it would be embarrassing to show his form out to them but when he got too comfortable he shows it- he fully shows the form when his own powers completely lost its temper while fighting a demon.

At the current future au- mk's design is human form when he's outside- and he has the monkey form when inside the fortress

Mk and redson have their own fortress than dbk's because it was their time to move out and probably take care one another-

Mk's bandana is dark red [than the red bandana he originally has from pigsy] and it has the samadhi fire symbol stamped orange color on the left side [my right] and the demon bull horns fused with a monkey logo stamped black on his right [my left]

Mk- The one he's wearing is a plain shirt and a red robe- an extra one for redson's red coat where he usually wears is now attached to his back.

Mk has a permanent black tattoo of a heart on his right arm

Redson has theirs on his left arm.

The two of them made swore to each other that their love is strong and will never give up that easily. And marking by words- this is carved on their arms.

[Love the idea of matching tattoos]

Red's hair is cut short [mk's choice of picking-]

He doesn't wear the usual pants that were violets but it's red and there is orange patterns down.

His horns are grown out not the usually small ones since his powers gotten stronger and the samadhi fire he created that was given to mei was returned to his posession now- he has that cracked [chip?] On his left horn because of a demon attack.

[this was the proposal thing i explained back there- jin accidentally knocked redson off with a strong hit and chipped his horn that he did not meant to do it on purpose]

Redson has that samadhi fire permanently marked red on his right arm- to symbolize that him. Redson is the one who created it.

By the way redson sometimes wears mk's bandana when he tries to train himself for a fight [cuz his hair is on the way lol-]

Mei's design isn't shown on the future au yet but can be shown soon tho- her appearance is fully changed than her personality.

She's still the usual Mei as she was in the past but with memories and experiences of course.

She talks with Pif and Macaque [a headcanon that her and pif were setting on the wedding plan once they agreed to get married]

Mei and macaque talk about how strong mk and redson would be and their child at the future- and not only that- Mei sometimes teases macaque by actually marrying swk lmao-

Mei's hair is longer now- [s3 redson's hair limit when down] but she does a bun and half down hair- her dragon scales is shown from her cheeks and other parts of her body but not much- her outfit that she's wearing is her green jacket [not the one from the show but with the traffic light trio colors] pants are grey than white-

STUFF TO KNOW ABOUT REDSON AND MK'S FUTURE CHILD:

JUST TO TELL SOMETHING! IF YOU KNOW LEGO NINJAGO THEN YOU PROBABLY KNOW KAI!

Anyway the future au kai-

Kai- well we're unsure the fact of wether he's adopted or not that came out of Mk's thing but uh we stuck with not adopted-

Kai shows his true form when in the fortress but not outside where he trains with the rest of his friends [lloyd and the others except nya and master fu]

They both know about him and his parents so he couldnt hide this.

Nya [sister] isn't exactly part of the demonbullkey family but she's shown as a half/step sibling with kai when she comes to his fortress to play games and stuff like how mei and mk normally would do on arcades or monkey king games stuff.

So they stuck up with nya and kai pretending to be actual siblings from the group which master fu also sticked in,

Mk sees nya as mei to him because seeing how nya and kai get together in a platonic sibling like way- shows to him like he was seeing himself and mei in the past.

Redson-on the other- sees Nya [not a distraction] but a strong soldier like- that he would definitely want to adopt lmao but he doesn't say it because he and mk know that nya has parents and they would never adopt her without the parents's approval-

Nya's parents doesn't know about kai's parents but kai's parents knows them- but they never say or talk to her parents because of personal reasons- and especially being the known Monkey Successor and the Dbk's son aka the one who created the samadhi fire.

Redson and Mk talked to Master fu right after kai got in the group and accidentally showed his true form to the master- he was shocked at first- so kai told him that he'll bring his parents to understand some things-

In the end of the conversation masterfu will pretend that kai's parents are normal just like the rest of the groups parents and that him and Nya are siblings.

They didnt manipulate him or anything- masterfu has known the tales and gossips about jttw, the great sage sun wukong, and the new successor, hell even the samadhi fire- redson was the one who created the samadhi fire and samadhi's have many elements which include FIRE written down and there was no way he missed that.

What he didn't know was that the successor and the demon bull prince were courting and got engaged-

Because as far as he knew- sun wukong and Dbk fought before and used to be allies from the brotherhood now that it has been broken- turns out after hearing redson and mk speak about swk and dbk they both made peace and truce allies again- after years of separation since they still consider together as allies-

master fu was still kind of a fan but he doesnt show his energy, he covered up kai's secret and talked things out to them.

One of those- speeches where "ninjas are meant to fight enemies and yada yada stuff" "evil demons such as mortal beings who threats the whole world" which redson sarcastically points to himself saying that he USED to take over the world after freeing his father dbk out- and mk just chuckled-

Master fu arranged his own tone trying not to show that he felt like he offended redson. As he was saying- if kai doesn't do anything such as hurting the group physically meaning it to them then there is no biggie.

Kai clarified to himself that he wanted to join as a ninja to be part of a purpose and be stronger like his parents for the next generation.

This really made a big chance for his life to change and it did. Mk and redson are proud of him honestly.

Like Red was- "my son is grown up and he's stronger than me I'm tearing up" mk in the other is like "we're proud parents, we raised him well"

Kai's demon form:

He shows his true demon form at their fortress, since he's part of the DemonBullKey family he pays his own respect.

Kai has small horns [it was ok since redson used to have small horns as well]

He has bull ears, a monkey mark thing on his face, and a monkey tail.

His power has fire powers. And the other half is Mk's.

Kai has longer hair when he shows his true form.

Now some people question me alot from tiktok about some things:

Why is Nya not part of the DemonBullKey family?

Who is the top or bottom?

Why is it called Demon Bull Key family?

How is SWK and DBK handling this engagement with Mk and Redson?

Are SWK and DBK good with terms now that their sons are both married?

How is Pigsy and Tang?

What about Macaque and Swk's relationship from the future au?

How is Mei since she doesn't have those fun bonds or hang outs with Mk now that the two lives in a fortress and taking care of things?

Is Mei upset?

Is Mei overprotective?

How did she know that they both ended up like this?

Did Macaque knew?

Why headcanon PIF and Mei knowing about Redson and Mk's relationship?

Any reactions when Kai is borned?

Does Kai have a nanny or a babysitter when he was a little baby?

What about bai?

Did redson actually grew a beared?

Do they sometimes get into a fight?

What does redson and mk do now that they live together?

Answers:

Nya isn't part of the DBKey family [in my opinion] because I dont find something that would fit on her but just as a step sibling to kai [she has water powers and the dbkey family uses fire and strength]

Mk is mainly top, Redson is bottom. Either of it. Depending on both of their moods- sometimes Red is top and Mk is bottom- theres even times they're both bottoms and both tops at the same time- [doesn't matter]

The reason why it's called DemonBullKey family is because Redson takes the name of their 'Demon Bull' family that was passed down to him. And mk as a 'great successor' of swk he also takes half of the name. [I didnt find the 'monkey' fitting so it's short for Monkey that's why it's called 'Key' only]

Since swk and dbk still stick with eachother they may be sworn brothers but they still treat themselves some respect. It was honestly shocking for them because neither of them knew that they were courting. But at the end they're good and talked things out.

Swk and dbk are in good terms, they promised their sons that they stay strong in the future.

Pigsy and Tang [are married before Redson proposed to Mk btw] they both used to hate redson because back in the days he was trying to KILL Mk for that staff now that redson doesn't want it anymore and helped them with things about defeating lbd or spiderqueen, not to mention when mk told them both about how he saved his, Mei, and Sandy's life from that desert. They approved their courting on one condition, it is to NEVER hurt Mk's life. Redson accepts and said he would protect Mk from his life.

Macaque and Swk's relationship are both taking it slow. They don't want to move fast or anything- so it's better if slow.

Mei is alright, she may not have seen or talked much with mk these days but they both still remember eachother from time to time. Mei has alot of things to do while Mk does to. But she oftenly visits the fortress occassionally or even when they're not doing anything important.

Mei is upset, not to the point that Mk got married and that they both dont see eachother often now. She's upset that things will never be the same again like how it used to be. But she lives on with it.

Back when Redson and Mk officially announced to them that they both are in a relationship, Mei squeals from excitement. She has their full support and warned Redson not to hurt him at all or anything in the future. He has her words.

If you guys remembered S3 and looked back- the first ring of the samadhi fire episode. Seeing the part where mei takes photos of mk hugging redson while he pushes him. And also S2 when Mei heared that he helped mk beat his dad with a smirk. I bet she knew right there that there was a part of redson that she didn't know but have this- chemistry going on with mk all along and continued to develop without them knowing.

Macaque surely knew about this, takes place after S3 Macaque and Mei have their own conversations and said also stuff about mk and redson would possibly get married in the future [which they did] Macaque just smiled knowing that they both will soon.

Theres a reason why. Back in S2 The Skeleton Key episode is the part Redson revealed where Mk lives, and on that location that was shown. I had a hunch Pif suddenly knew because Redson is having an obsession with Mk (based on how much he mentions 'noodleboy' heheh) in S4 at the end of the episode where the Db family and the Mkid Squad are at the beach. Mei and Pif both get to talk about redson and mk's status now, theres also Macaque on the other side who placed bets.

When Kai is born, his form is shown to have monkey tail and small bull ears.

Redson- he got too worried that mk wouldnt make it after he gives birth with kai, but after looking at the baby, he was really really happy and wanted to hug mk so much. [Also kiss him hehe]

Pigsy- he saw the beautiful baby sweet angel and is happy that Kai was born [like any other grandpa who wants grand children-]

Tang- he was glad that Mk didn't pass out- god it took longer. And the baby is adorable for him to look at.

Sandy- he gets to be the one giving the baby some baby bottles for milk because baby kai is just- CUTE

Mei- when mei first carried baby kai in her arms she was in tears of joy and really happy that kai was born in this world, she's proud of her bestfriend.

Swk- swk is shocked [how the baby has mk's features and redson's as well] he is really happy for mk

Dbk- the happier kai was born he wanted to cook meals for kai when redson and mk drops off at the demonbullking fortress. (Like any other grandfather what does to their grandchildren they give them really delicious meal 😋)

Pif- pif's reaction when kai was born, she's like any other bossy mothers who gives anything for her child.

Macaque- his reaction shows less but does enjoy keeping mk company. Even tho mk didnt want macaque here but he did apologize to him a bunch of times.

Nezha- His reaction shows that he is also happy and excited that this would include kai's celebration

Bai- since bai is mk's [lil step sister] bai doesn't see mk much but she talks to them over the phone, she's out for family vacation with her parents and well- doesn't get to visit them much. But bai still considers mk as her big brother, she hopes that baby kai would grow into a strong and a nice person.

And yes! Kai has a babysitter! He has three actually- theres Sandy, then there Mei, but if both of them are busy then theres Tang or Macaque- (honestly who even put Macaque incharge?)

Bai in the future au she's gotten older now and her long hair is still there, she still wears the same headband. When she has free time she goes to Pigsys Noodles to visit, or even talk to Macaque again about how things are going.

Yes, redson grew a beared. It was the part where i posted about- <Me and My Husband> after a few months has passed since the wedding and he started regretting his life decisions. But now him and mk are together everything just- changed. Mk and red had their little talks and they both smiled trying to carry the future on.

They both do get into little fights (not an actual problems) like- "hey im supposed to be the one to cook! Thank you honey" "You're cheating at this game" they sometimes have bigger problems but they still worked it out. It's not good if one of them handles it too much.

Mk does- well- help gardening with Redson, they both share moments and memories together and other stuff. Like a family.

For mk I'm still not sure what job he'd have now that he quit from pigsys noodles.

And no, he doesn't work as a noodleboy not after him and red are married now and moved out from the apartment.

Redson calls him Noodleboy sometimes but mainly he calls them by their real name now that Mk told him his name is Qi Xiaotian. (Sometimes red doesnt feel much of calling mk honey or babe since he doesn't find it soothing to him)

YES they both live in the same room. With a big bed! Theres a side from Mk's and the other side is redson's. There are also pictures of Mk and Redson at the wedding day, and also the day they both were officially dating.

The two of them share the same bed! Who doesnt? Married couples do!

This is actually hilarious, kai asked Mk how him and redson first met. They were at the dining table and redson spat out his drink after he asked that. Mk's reply was also funny! "Well- your dad and I met when I accidentally fell from the top- thats the part where i got the staff and well-' "we both used to be enemies- and that i-" "tried to kill me?" Kai's eye just widened and he was so speechless regretting that question he asked..

Mk and redson were wearing the same outfit that they both wore in s3

Lets say they both took 3-4 dates until redson proposed

The first date is took place on the arcade, mk told redson it was a 'hangout without mei' without him knowing it was a date. Next thing mk told him after was that- it wasn't a hang out and it was a date. This made redson thought about it and he was so dumbfounded.

The second date is before redson confessed his feelings to mk (not the 'i like you' part yet) but he told him how much he felt inside of him from. A long time now, and mk told him he felt rhe same as well.

It was after the second date, when Pigsy asked redson what he has been up to. Taking mk spending his own time with him- pigsy wanted to beat him up. Until mk gathered the squad around together. Mk slowly told them about him and redson's relationship while holding redson's hand. Telling them that they are both in a relationship now. Pigsy is in lost of words he almost fainted, Tang is supportive and also cares about mk's decision. Sandy is highly supportive and mei as well. 'Just dont hurt the lil guy'

Yes, the dinner is held at the demon bull fortress where pigsy and dbk both cook for each others taste. The feast and the conversations were great! And even dbk and pigsy talked about chang e's cooks.

For when, it was at the last episode of S4 where they both were in the beach. Redson and Mk were both playing on the sea until a big wave hit mk and accidentally put force from his whole body into moving towards redson. And then shwala they kissed

I think thats all of the questions, I tried to answer it (not good with grammar but I'm still trying)

🚦Traffliclight Trio Shenanigans

Fandom : LEGO Monkie Kid Characters : Red Son, MK, Mei

➥ CW/TW : Implied Spicynoodles/Implied Dragonfruit/Implied Chimera(?)

Hidden Enjoyment ? ➠ Red Son dealing with two people who people on the 'hero's side' isn't usually like him. He doesn't show it much but he can't help find hidden enjoyment in their presence. It's somewhat a comforting feeling. When Mei teases him for being a hero though, he disagrees but tolerates it for them.

Texting !! ➠ Mei and MK having Red Son in a group chat with them is somewhat entertaining. Doing stims and Red Son is often confused about it, so they both have to explain it to him in a way he can understand. In which, he does understand it and after sometime he starts to do it as well. To add on, Red Son probably does some proper form of texting, using full words and sentences. MK and Mei however, probably started texting with both semi-full sentences, shortcuts and tag tones. After some time though, they quickly understood each other even if the text is full of key smashing.

Physical Affection !! ➠ MK and Mei hug and have that good buddy buddy affection they aren't afraid to do in public. Red Son occasionally does the arm touches with both of them and small acts of affection, but doesn't do it often in public. In worry of what his parents or other people would think of the Demon Bull King's son. In private though, MK and Mei assure him that it's okay to show physical affection. He likes the reassuring affection, he doesn't ask for it of the other two, but discreetly asks for it if he's desperate enough.

Warmth !! ➠ In cold weather, MK likes to huddle up between Mei and Red Son. Both having Pyrokinesis, they aren't affected much to the cold. Well Mei at least- because it wasn't too long ago that she had Pyrokinesis.

Partners in Crime !? ➠ Red Son holding both MK and Mei's hands like, "This is my boyfriend. This is my girlfriend."

Protection !!! ➠ These three are considerably protective over each other. Being able to react quickly and take action, no matter the threat. Or if something startles them. Like, a bug. To add on, Red Son is probably the one to consider protecting the other two the most because he is an Demon born with Immortality. Often trying his best to remind the other two that they are mortals, who unfortunately who can succumb to sickness, injuries and death... While MK isn't and does not have Invincibility like he use to, he and Mei are both mortals still with powerful abilities with skills they would still need to learn more in the future.

Combat !! ➠ The trio is noticeably experienced in combat in and with their own skillsets. They all have speed... Red Son probably having the most experience, he is skilled in close combat usually using just his fists to throw calculated hits and punches, and often dodging if he's able to. He also uses his pyrokinesis to aid himself in close combat. MK is able to use his Golden Staff for close combat, and sometimes long ranged combat(via controlling the size of it.) When he did not have his Golden Staff, he is able to do close combat to an extent. Even wrestling if it counts. Mei has her swordsmanship, being any to wield the Dragon Blade at ease. Making her a skilled sword fighter. She also possesses the abilities of Dracokinesis and Pyrokinesis, being able to use draconic energy and control fire to her will. TLDR !! - If they are coordinated enough, they should be able to fight alongside together. Hopefully in sync enough their abilities aren't able to collide with one another.

okay, so you guys will be an famous couples because you are dating the Monkie kid and Redson the demon bull king's son but you are very shy and get very anxiety like doing like interviews and when the new camera's are on you

when they see you trying to hide form the camera's one of them will take off their jacket and put it in front of you while the another one which is meanly redson (because he can be scary and will be cocky just to get the cameras off you) which give mk enough time to get you out of their

when they see you getting nervous about an question, mk or redson will pull you by their side and one of them answer the question for you and keep you close to them

now they will tease you an bit while on the new camera to show that you are theirs and only theirs which they go by holding your hand, grabbing you waist and pull you against their side, wrapping their tail around her waist or arm or even kissing you cheek (which almost get the new and the another people question them jealous of you guys)

when you get shy on the news they can't help but see how cute you are when you get hit by complements but someone which sometimes (redson even smiled at you because you so cute but he lies saying I didn't but he did which mei is that one who call him out the most on it)

when they see you get an bit edge form answering an question wrong they take the attention off you and more it onto them which always make you feel better about it but they will laugh about it making you laugh to make you feel better about it (which is mostly mk making you laugh)

okay, they will be very protective of you doing meet and questions with fan or with the new people. if an new person or an fan say something that made you sad or upset they will death glare the person to correct themselves if that doesn't work will they personality drag them out not caring if an new person or an fan

that another thing about them, you have you very own bodyguards! but they are also lovers along bodyguards. they will show both side of them. mk will can and will switch mood like it nothing one minute he be laughing with you and making jokes then the next minute he silence and staring at someone while redson just sit by and watch you two laugh and joke but he always on high guard of the both of you but sometimes he does let his guard down just to have an bit of fun with you and mk

Beacuse a few people mentioned making fankids of DragonFruit and SpicyNoodles, and beacuse my character design loving ass has no self control, I bring to you Furong and Shandian (thank you Bucky for the names)

Furong is the oldest out of the two and just like her mother she has a real nack for mechanics. However, despite the fact that she is a demon her powers are next to none. She still possesses super strength and fast healing like any other demon, but outside of changing into her bigger form, she has no form of magic powers.

Shandian is the youngest out of the two, and compared to his parents, he's rather calm. Despite the fact that he has some lighting based powers he rarely uses them (sometimes he does use them just to reacharge his phono or another eletrical device), he instead spends most of his time in the little bookshop he opened not too far from his home.

Maybe some spicynoodles?MK is drawing and Redson is curious on what he is drawing- and is actually pretty impressed even starts asking questions and MK offers to try and teach him sense Red seems to be so interested.

Inspired by a comic that @tanniasaurus made...

Red Son was a good model, in Qi Xiaotian's opinion.

He was a lovely demon who liked to sit calmly and vibe, even if you didn't suspect it due to his temper. Xiaotian had thought it was a rare moment the first time he saw it and had scrambled to get it down in his sketchbook.

But then it happened. Again and again.

Eventually Xiaotian found himself carrying his sketchbook everywhere just in case.

Like now. Red was leaning against the counter, seemingly unbothered by Pigsy yelling at Tang. Xiaotian didn't let it bother him either. He was more focused on committing the line of Red's peaceful smile down...

Then there was a chuckle.

"What are you drawing this time, Noodle Boy?"

Xiaotian squeaked, holding his notebook to his chest. "Ehem- it's nothing! It's just a sketch it's not really that good-" Red leaned forward and he clamped the page to his chest.

"May I see it?"

"Well, uh...It's not done yet." he claimed, a nervous grin forming.

"I'll let you wear my jacket."

Well... he couldn't really say no to that, could he. Xiaotian accepted with a nod. Red beamed, sliding off his jacket. They exchanged, Xiaotian slipping on the jacket as Red took the sketchbook. He couldn't help but take a deep breath, admiring the scent of woodsmoke and cloves and cinnamon. He looked up at Red's gasp.

"You like?"

Red was hugging him then, his hair sparking happily. "Of course I like it, you noodle brain!" He pulled away to take another look. "How did you do the light? And the angles, they look so good...!"

"I can teach you?" The offer slid out. Xiaotian wasn't sure why he said it, he wouldn't be a good teacher. But it was a nice excuse for more Red time.

And when Red's eyes lit up he knew he had said the right thing.

Top Ten favorite ships! GO!!!! - Pixel Anon

Pffft. Looks at rarepairs which is mostly what my head is full of also these are the ships I can think of the top of my head

Peachpig/peachbun - Peachpig is a comfort ship and I am a massive Zhuhou shipper. It has my favorite tropes like bickering old married couple and enemies to lovers (I like being a content maker of this ship). It also a lot of longing in it if we go with the idea that Pigsy is Zhu Bajie’s reincarnation and I’m a sucker for pining. I like the idea of them gradually beginning to trust each other and be a sweet couple.

FreeNoodles - This is also a ship I really like because I’m a fan of bickering married couples. Also a lot of pining

MKsdadshipping is really cute because it’s three of my favorite characters in one big ship

Jasminetea - someone said it’s the underrated dynamic of feral small and calm tall and I completely agree with it. And I like the idea that if Sandy is Sha Wujing that he’s getting the love he deserves from someone.

Spicynoodles - enemies to lovers is one of my jams

Chimerashipping - I like the idea of Red being comfortable with how MK and Mei are a package deal and loving them both for it along with their many other traits. Also MK and Mei agreeing to share one guy with each other and being completely okay with it.

Cyberhunt - It’s like a jock x nerd trope. It’s just a shame we didn’t get to see more of the spider’s dynamics.

Peachtea - Tang would be that nerd who got with their celebrity crush. Ship also has pining in it. (Technically all the ships do in some form or another)

Silktea - I don’t actively think of this ship a lot but I do think the idea of Sandy helping Huntsman and helping him grow into a better person is nice. This is also feral small and calm tall.

For the last one, I guess Demon Bull King x Princess Iron Fan. I think it’s cute that they love each other and I like how PIF nuzzles her husband at the end of the S1 finale says smth along the lines of “You’ve come back to me.”

There are a lot of cute ships out there though.

“You can't just stay in bed all day.” MK rolls his eyes and the hiss that comes from under the blanket.

The blanket from HIS bed mind you.

He suddenly understands where Pigsy was coming from when he yanked the covers off his sleeping form back in middle school to wake him up for the day.

Red Son had...well, the best word for it defected from his parents. And now he was no longer welcome in his home and his parents were out for blood.

Thankfully Wukong was easily convinced to help and with Red Son officially under the great sage's protection it makes Princess Iron Fan and the Demon Bull King think twice before attacking their now disowned son.

But that didn't mean it didn't go down in a fight first. The demon bull king vs the monkey king and poor Red Son caught in the middle.

Red Son was disowned in the worst way possible.

"Useless son!! I wish you never were born!"

MK was there. Standing right next to Red Son. But even from a mile away you could hear the boy's heart-shattering under the impact of the words.

Red Son was the one to sever the final thread connecting them. Shouting how he was no longer their son, eyes pouring blue flames as he attacked his father and mother.

It took both Wukong, MK and Pigsy to pull Red Son off of them.

MK had never seen Red Son like that. Sure he had his more feral moments. But what he witnessed was truly terrifying. He was out for blood and only when MK had his arms around the demon's form and the flames were starting to burn him did Red Son stop.

His anger and rage melted into apologies and hiccuped sobs as his hands fretted over MK's injuries.

Red Son left with them that day and Red was making good use of his newly acquired freedom.

By sulking about it.

MK pokes the lump under his blanket in his bed and it hisses again in a warning. Like a cornered cat that had zero intentions of actually hurting MK.

“Come on dude. You're gonna starve eventually if you don't come out. Pigsy made you some noodles, extra spicy.” he tries to tempt the demon with the promise of food but even that only gains him another low rumbled growl.

MK breathes in through his nose and lets it out through his mouth, trying his best to not let Red Son’s attitude affect him. He needed to grant them more sympathy. Red Son lost the only family he ever had and was now trying to navigate this new one that accepted him with open arms.

He set the noodle bowl down onto the side table with a sigh and sat on the edge of the bed, it dipped under his weight.

“Alright. If you want to stay in bed We can do that." He pulls the blanket up and he's met with scowling eyes that dilate in the light.

That was actually pretty cool. Exactly like a cat.

"Scoot over." He instructs and Red Son blinks at him dumbly. MK doesn't wait for him to protest and shoves his way into the same space, and pulls the covers over both their heads. He wraps his arms around the demon and pulls them to his chest.

"Peasant!!! What are you doing?" He sputters and MK rests his chin atop the demon's head.

"It's called cuddling. It's good when you're depressed." He explains his hand trailing down Red Son’s hair till he finds the base of his ponytail. He easily removes the hair tie and takes advantage of the loose locks.

He runs his fingers through his Red hair and they squirm under him. There is another warning rumble in the back of Red's throat but MK pays it no mind. He was all bark and no bite. He finds the longer he runs his fingers through the warm hair the more the demon relaxes in his grip.

"I do not need to be coddled..."

MK could feel claws pricking through the front of his shirt, Red son shivering and shaking in his hold. It occurs to MK that Red Son had never been held gently before. It sends a pain ricocheting in MKs chest.

He needed to fix that. He would hold Red Son gently, he would treat him like he's precious, make him feel special and loved. He would hold him and hug him and stroke his fingers through his incredibly soft hair as long as the demon needed...

...that sounded way more gay in his head than he had the brainpower to process right now.

"It's okay….no one's here to judge you." He reassures gently and suddenly the claws against his chest become so much more gentle. Red Sons' shoulders hitch.

"They were my parents…."

"I know."

"Was I not enough??!" The demon's hands twist in the front of MK's shirts and MK knows where Red is coming from. He too originally came from a family that he felt like he needed to prove something to them. To be worth something so they would keep him around.

It took him years to learn that no matter what he did he would never earn their love.

Love was shared not earned.

"It's okay, you are enough Red" he reassures and the demon’s shoulders shake and he a breath shatters into hiccuping sobs, tears cascading down his face to be absorbed by the sheets and MK's shirt.

He presses gentle kisses to the boy's forehead and lets them cry it out. Red Son deserved that. He deserved to have a good healthy cry while someone soothed you.

MK isn't sure how much time has passed but eventually, the sobbing subsides and now it's just Red Son's face shoved into his chest while he works the knots out of his hair with his fingers.

"How are you feeling?" MK asked eventually and he only felt a steamy huff against his neck. God, it's hot under the covers, that could be attributed to the fire demon but he's sure with two people in the bed it still would be pretty unbearable.

"Want me to let you go?" He asked and he felt a little head shake against him.

"you may….hold me a little longer" the words are more of felt rather than heard and MK nods understanding.

"Okay, but you're gonna have to let me pull the covers up a bit. It's stuffy under here." He feels a nod against his chest and MK pulls the covers back enough to vent the heat building under the covers.

"Much better,"

The sudden cool air makes Red Son pull out of his chest and look at him with wide eyes and

Oh.

They had to be the damn prettiest eyes MK had ever seen.

I mean, it wasn't hard to admit that Red Son was attractive, with perfect skin, thick brows, muscles all over his body that could put marble statues to shame…

But seeing him like this?

Nothing but flushed cheeks and wild hair framed by the dying sun's light?

Gorgeous.

MK can't help but reach forward and cup the demon's face. He just needed to behold the beauty before him. Red Son goes easily into the touch, hooded lids and parted lips only making him impossibly more ethereal.

He leans forward

Who could blame MK?

He watches the hooded lids close shut.

Who could fault him?

He pressed lips tenderly together. His own eyes flutter close and he tilts the face for a better angle where their noses don't hit each other awkwardly and they just fit together like puzzle pieces.

He would hold Red Son.

As long as he needed them to.

all y'all asking about spicynoodles and i'm here like 'i wanna talk about this subplot actually' so then i do both

He was due for a talk with Red Son. That much was obvious.

They’d taken a break from their ‘something or another’ after the battle with the Lady Bone Demon, memories so flooded and overcrowding in Red Son’s and his own mind that it was just easier to go their separate ways while they respectively healed from the battle.

Besides, he had other things to worry about. He had a father clinging to him and Pigsy (Baije, Dadsy was Zhu Baije, he was ‘Uncle’ Baije for so long, that the idea that he’d latched onto someone he didn’t ACTUALLY REMEMBER having a hand in raising him but still felt distantly familiar, was absolutely bananas) and Tang (‘Uncle’ Sanzang! Tang was The Golden Cicada this whole time!.... He was a WAY better actor than Xiaotian would have ever thought) Equally emotional Though a bit less clingy meant that he’d been spending the last couple of days at the bottom of a 2/3rds fuzzy cuddle pile. Xiaojiao and Sandy (Uncle Wujing! He’d visited so rarely when Xiaotian was growing up, always so afraid of hurting him when he was still little) were there for the first few days during injury recovery, and any possible virulent reactions that could arise in the influx of returning memories, but at the end of the second day Xiaojiao had hugged him tight, reminded him if he was a year younger than her or centuries older they were still best friends, and left saying she needed to check in on her own parents and assure them she hadn’t died or anything.

And… It felt like coming home when on that third day he stared at himself in the mirror for awhile, blinked, and felt his fur return. Sprouting from his skin and his hair going a few shades lighter, a tail springing forth and-

He looked like himself. Like how he should be. How he was meant to be.

It almost felt ridiculous he’d spent as long as he had in the human form, it probably would never look quite right again in comparison, like he was just human-passing but not really being himself. No wonder he always felt so self conscious about his appearance when he didn’t remember.

And then his father had seen him like that and clutched onto him again, purrs rumbling so loud in his chest Xiaotian was practically vibrating against him.

It was on day five that he was able to finally slip out while His father was distracted with doting over Pigsy (whom was starting to get rather annoyed with the whole setup himself, Baije or not, memories or no, he was thinking of nothing but getting the shop back in order and was starting to get a bit stir crazy over it) and Tang helped him get away. A look that was far too knowing and a smirk that proved he’d been among mortals for way too long. He’d reached into a pocket and took out a small box. He’d been keeping hold of it ever since He and Red Boy had broken up all those years ago. Somehow he’d had a feeling they’d get back together eventually (and even after LBD had removed Red Boy’s history from everyone, He’d still kept hold of it, he just hadn’t quite known why anymore)

And as Xiaotian ran his hand over the old box (not old, he was only an adolescent when he’d carved it himself from one of the trees Father had felled to make the smaller cabin for the two of them) he remembered what was inside and what he’d made it for. Tang winked at him and promised to cover for him.

He was gonna sneak SO Many noodle bowls for Uncle Sanzang for being the cool uncle. (‘Uncle’ still wasn’t the best term for either of them granted they were both kinda-sorta-’with’ his father, but monks can’t get married so calling either of them dads too felt wrong, UGH this was a conundrum for child-him and yet here he was again!)

He didn’t have his father’s cloud, some things couldn’t be passed down from mentor to successor OR father to son so he wound up pole vaulting across the way to the fiery mountains.

And ironically he’d seen Red Son right out, standing at a near hidden balcony carved into the mountainside he remembered vividly from their shared youth.

And… they needed to talk.

So they did.

“-And suddenly mother couldn’t remember that I was capable of anything at all! And- And being under the mountain had spared father the same effect! He DID remember!” It hadn't taken long before Red Son had started pacing before Xiaotian, waving his arms and whisps of smoke rising from the tip of his ponytail. “I confronted the both of them and Mother was embarrassed but she said it was my own fault for being unremarkable once i myself forgot my own history, but father didn’t know what we were talking about! He always remembered me as Red Boy! Everything that happened! It was- It was why he’d expected so highly of me when he was freed, and-” Red Son paused, the smoke stopping. “Why he was disappointed and surprised, whenever I would fail to meet the standards of the demon he alone remembered me being.”

“And my father couldn’t even talk to me” He agreed. “-Until your father was freed and he had an excuse to be in my life again. He said directly, he hated being so hands-off with the training. He said it hurt to look at me and know i was only seeing ‘the Monkey King’” Red Son looked over at him and sat back down. A silent invite to go on. “I never once called my own father by his name because all i was seeing was the title and reputation.” something about that was finally starting to sink in. his eyes stung a bit. “I spent all that time he was away thinking that he regretted choosing me, Then when he came back that he was barely in contact because he didn't trust me to handle the Lady Bone Demon, that he thought i was weak or stupid or he couldn’t trust me, but he just-! He just couldn’t stand that his own kid didn’t remember who he was! I would have ditched a lot SOONER if the situation was reversed!” it felt so childish now, the idea that after raising him from hatching from that stone egg that his father would think like that about him! He’d ALWAYS made Xiaotian know he was proud of him and how much he’d been improving that first time around while training him! And sure he WAS always intimidated over living up to such a huge legacy, but he’d known that ‘successor’ or not he was his father’s SON first and foremost.

But he’d ran out of words. So he just sat there in his own feeling like a fool and having no one to blame but the Lady Bone Demon, and Red Son in a similar muck, When he’d remembered the box still resting in his jacket pocket.

“We were courting for most of our childhoods.” he found himself saying. Red Son stiffened beside him and then huffed out a laugh.

“No wonder we’d developed our little ‘game’ while on the ship.”

“And we said some pretty nasty stuff to each other after my dad kicked yours’ ass and dropped a mountain on his head.” He made sure the teasing lit was in his voice and Red Son groaned, throwing a hand over his eyes as he slumped backward a bit.

“Don’t remind me! Couldn’t the Lady Bone Demon have kept that repressed?”

“Remember your first courting gift to me?” He watched Red Son’s cheeks turn a gentle pink against the mid-morning light.

“Perhaps.”

He pulled the little box from his pocket and handed it to him. “I was gonna give you this back then, but we called the whole thing off before I could.”

Red Son turned to face him fully, but Xiaotian didn’t return the motion, keeping his eyes on the horizon, the faint outline of the city just visible. He watched from his periphery as Red Son opened the box and pulled back the cloth keeping it covered.

“It’s been awhile since that sort of hair tie was in style, but I figured it might be a nice place to start.” He closed his eyes, he didn’t want to see the reaction until he knew what it would be. “So uh- Red Son, Son of the Demon Bull King, We Did this whole courting thing before, and- I’d… I’ve been in love with you since we were kids so I'd like to try it again.”

There was a silence and he was worried when he’d open his eyes, Red Son would be gone, taken off in a silent panic and he’d have his heart incinerated by the same person twice.

“Look I know it’s cheesy and old fashioned, but this is a pretty big leap of faith and I’m really gonna need you to say something here.” he finally took a leap of faith and creaked open an eye.

His heart sank. Red Son looked furious. Stiff, with his shoulders nearly brushing his ears from how tightly he held himself, jaw clenched, his hair letting out sparks and embers as he barely contained his fury.

“This- Is NOT. FAIR.” he jolted to his feet and Xiaotian flinched back. Well, he tried. He tried and it’s not Uncle Sanzang’s fault it didn’t pan out. “I didn’t prepare anything! You can’t just go and do something this sentimental with a proposition I've been hoping for ever since maybe a MONTH after we called things off without forewarning me! I needed time to prepare something myself! I could have prepared a meal in reference to your gift to me! Or made you something to show off my new prowess in machinery! You can’t just DO this to me while I'm empty handed!”

Wait what

“I, Red Son, refuse to be taken as some simpering maiden with no agency in being courted! So prepare yourself for the wooing of a lifetime Noodle Boy!” He ripped his hair tie from his head in one swift motion, reaching down into the box and taking the purple ribbon out, trying his hair up with the offered gift instead.

“I demand you stay for dinner so I might prepare a feast as my own official start of this new courtship!”

Xiaotian blinked, still a bit reeling from the roller coaster Red Son’s shouting had put him through, before finally settling on- “Is that a yes?” though his voice came out far more vulnerable than he expected it to. Red Son’s expression softened, and when he offered his hand, Xiaotian took it, being helped up onto his feet though he didn’t need to be helped. It was nice to hold his hand again.

“Of course it’s a yes.” Red Son face was bright red and he gave a weak sort of half-chuckle, suddenly he was he one who couldn't look at him.

“And this time, I’m never going to leave you.”

They weren’t children anymore, and they didn’t have to be lead by the nostalgia they only now knew they had. This time when they tried to shoot for ‘forever’ they could do it with intent.

“I promisce.”

I AM SORRY FOR THIS SKELLE BUT I MUST: 5 (kidnapping them was the only way I was going to get them here),6 (let's make a deal, shall we?) and 41 (can you teach me how to do that) with the demon bull fam and mk with a little hint of 64 (I may have eaten seven of them already). NOW GO HAM MY DUDE

Oh I had way too much fun with this one. I took S2E4 (spoilers mentioned for that!) and some tweets made by one of the show producers on the same day as fuel for a very silly idea I had. I don't write what can be considered "Crack treated seriously" (or at least semi-seriously, this is not a 100% serious fic) often but when I do I go hard. This is more focused on MK and others than SpicyNoodles so it's a bit more gen fic than a full on ship fic as well.

Kidnapping them was the only way I was going to get them here/Let's make a deal, shall we?/Can you teach me how to do that?/I may have eaten seven of them already.

"Red..." MK started off slowly, watching as his boyfriend's face flushed and twisted in embarrassment. "Can you tell me why your mother showed up at my apartment and used her wind vortex thing to teleport us here without an explanation? And then left us in your..." He looked around, noting that aside from the excessively large throne and two smaller thrones beside it this room looked like a... "Living room? On a couch?"

"I can-" Red Son started, raising a hand before pausing a frowning deeply. "Actually, no, I can't explain. This is just weird, even by my parent's standards. I have no idea what is going on, but since you're still here..." He shrugged with a hopeful smile, shaky through the uncertainty. "Maybe it's not bad? I mean, if Mother was truly upset or wanted to do something bad surely she would have not left us to our own devices. Maybe she’s... uh... happy I finally have a boyfriend?”

At the pointed raise of an eyebrow from MK that hopeful smile faltered a bit. Happy Red Son had a boyfriend for the first time in a couple centuries? Under different circumstances he wouldn't doubt that! Happy when that boyfriend was MK?

Oh he did doubt that.

He knew that they shouldn't have been sneaking around the way they had been. It had made sense at first, two people on opposite sides of a feud lasting centuries who discovered they actually enjoyed spending time together more than fighting each other. One who decided he very much would rather not follow through with any kind of domination and see his family hurt, who realized "actually my sworn nemesis isn't so bad", and another who decided "my life is already weird enough, why not give this befriending my enemy thing a shot".

And then one thing lead to another and before they knew it their secret friend meet up became a secret boyfriend meet up. They'd managed to keep everything under wraps for a while (except from Mei because, well... she was his best friend! He couldn't not tell someone and she would have found out fast if he wasn't obvious, and she had quickly become a mutual source of support for both of them), though MK knew Pigsy and the others knew something was up. They didn't question him, though, aside from the occasional good natured jab. "Wow MK, you seem happy today. Got any plans?" and that sort of thing. They seemed to trust him to make his own decisions, as long as he was happy and healthy and eventually told them. (Sun Wukong, however, may have caught in a little when he jokingly asked if MK had gotten a boyfriend and MK had choked on his drink. He never brought it up specifically after that but he was smart. Too smart.)

Red Son, on the other hand, was fantastic at keeping secrets when he tried. Or MK thought he was... the last few months gave no indication that either of his parents had discovered their little sneaky rendezvous. Then Princess Iron Fan broke into his apartment and, well, here they are. Clearly something had gone wrong somewhere along the line.

Before MK could follow through with any questions of whether or not there could be a fate worse than instant death that involved lulling him into a false sense of security, the two men froze at the sound of quickly approaching voices.

“Could this not have been done another way, my dear?”

“Kidnapping them was the only way I was going to get them here, you know that. Noodle Boy is not that gullible, contrary to what we first believed.”

Ah... shit... Red Son’s parents.

Mk quickly ran through all the possessions he had in his apartment and wondered if he had time to text Mei or Pigsy the world’s fastest will and testament and if that would be legally binding. He just hoped he had something for Pigsy to handle the Phantom Orderer they'd had for the last year.

They always ordered on the app and prepaid and managed to leave him a sizeable tip in his tuk-tuk after he dropped off the food at whatever random location they indicated.

"Good," PIF's voice rang clear, far faster than he could even attempt to pull out his phone, and MK turned to see that she was casually lounging on the shoulder of the Demon Bull King. She jumped down, her wind lightening her fall so much so that she barely made a sound when her feet touched ground. "You've made yourself comfortable."

MK couldn't bring himself to move, as much as he very dearly wanted to run away as quickly as possible. Yes, he was The Monkie Kid and had progressed far enough that he could probably escape without much problem. Yes, he and DBK had had an understanding after the White Bone Spirit and Lunar New Year Festival (though he still didn't know if PIF ever found out about that one). Yes, Princess Iron Fan had shown little interest in him before and had even worked beside him with no complaints (she didn't even care enough to attack during the Food Wars thing!). But that was all before she apparently found out he was dating her son behind her back while they were technically still enemies.

He was glad at that moment that she had grabbed them before they went to get lunch... his stomach was doing back flips that would make a gymnast jealous.

"Uh, yes Miss-Mrs-Muh-M- Princess Iron... Fan?" MK couldn't help but stutter awkwardly, holding onto the hem of his jacket and worrying it as he tried to keep his composure. He looked beside him, watching as Red sat straighter and kept an even expression on his face that he couldn't quite place. His hair seemed to spark softly.

Though she raised a brow at this, PIF didn't comment on that at all. Instead she made her way to the other couch across from them as opposed to what was clearly supposed to be her throne, leaning forward right her elbows on her knees and her fingers laced together in front of her. DBK stopped behind her, seemingly content to stay standing.

"Noodle Boy... you prefer to go by MK, is that correct?" She started, and he nodded slowly in confused response. "Hmn... so. You've been dating my son for quite some time. Many months... no, a bit over a year if I am not mistaken in how long his behavior has changed." 'Oh shit' went MK's brain. "You must be quite serious, if you're willing to go through so much just to see each other. Late night meetings. Secret hideaways. Sneaking onto Flower Fruit Mountain, even." 'Oh SHIT' it repeated in horror. "That's quite the dedication to show toward anyone... I hate to admit it, but I am quite impressed." 'OH SH-wait what?'

"Bw-huh?" Was what MK managed out, half a sound that was almost a word and half a squeak of confusion.

"The fact I myself remained oblivious until only a few weeks ago is quite something. Let's make a deal, shall we?" She continued, sitting back straight and looking like the proud Princess she was and not like a woman sitting on a couch that looked comically small in front of her enormous husband. "You and Red Son no longer have to hide your relationship from us and in exchange..." she paused, as if relishing the building tension between herself and the couple before her. "You will come over at least once a week so we can get to actually know you properly."

MK froze. Red Son froze even more.

Then his entire head lit ablaze as he jumped up and gestured at his mother with a gaping mouth. "Th-that's it!? I-I was... I was RIGHT!?"

PIF barely reacted to this, merely lounging sideways as she put her elbow on the arm of the couch and rested her cheek on her hand.

"Whatever you were right about, I suppose you were. But yes," she shrugged, honestly looking... kinda happy? "Has this been about a year ago I perhaps would not have understood what you saw in Nood-MK. But I can see how happy you have been lately, and there's something about him that is like... what did you say he was like, darling?" She turned to DBK, who shrugged himself with an unreadable expression.

"A ball of sunshine given human form."

... that was not what MK ever expected to hear from the Demon Bull King's mouth...

"Yes, that's it," she nodded as if this was completely normal and ignored how Red Son flopped back down onto the couch and stared at the ceiling. "I'd hate to admit it, but you've grown on us through out sparse interactions. Somehow. And we have been eagerly waiting for the day we could finally welcome someone into our son's life. So what do you say? Do we have a deal?"

She seemed... serious. MK may not know her that well, but it was clear to anyone when she wasn't being so.

"Uh... o-ok? Sure?" MK said softly, nodding in amazement as DBK and PIF actually smiled at this.

This was the strangest day of his life, beating our every single demon fight and even the day he got the Monkey King's staff. But he'd take this strangeness over the alternative 500 times over.

"Excellent," DBK nodded himself, there was a lot of that about. "That seems to have worked out n-"

Everyone paused at a loud grumble echoed the room, all turning to Red Son as he flared up in embarrassment this time.

"Don't look at me like that, we were supposed to eat half an hour ago and I am starving," Red Son grumbled as he sat up, not looking anyone in the eye. "I don't suppose we could. Eat now? Please?"

Despite the situation, MK couldn't help but smile at his pouting.

"I could bring us some food from Pigsy's?" MK offered in an attempt to contribute. Something. "I mean, I know Red likes it and you kinda seemed to like it the one time you tried it and... uh... yeah."

"Actually... I may have eaten seven of them already..." PIF admitted, looking away in embarrassment. "l've tried not to give into the temptation, but your father's noodles from the Food Wars were so... I just can't resist ordering some secretly after 5 or so weeks!"

"So you're the phantom orderer!" MK gasped out in shock, but after a moment he frowned and rubbed the back of his head. He had a bit of an idea. "Well... I could... make some for us instead?" He ammended his offered softly. "I may not make it exactly like Pigsy does, but I can get pretty close as long as you have the ingredients! And you wouldn't have to worry about me going there and coming back! We can eat like. Immediately!"

"I think that sounds acceptable," PIF said with a nod as she stood, but MK could see a bit of excitement sparkling in her usually cold eyes. "Come, Red Son. I need to discuss some upgrades the Bull Clones have been asking for with you. Your father can assist him in the kitchen until we are done."

Red looked over at MK and only stood to follow his mother once he nodded, giving his father a pointed look before exited the room. MK, in the meantime, looking up at DBK with a gulp and followed him as he lead the way toward their kitchen.

It was... well, bigger than he was used to. But pretty normal, regal size and decor aside. And it seemed, once he was given the nod of ok from his host (and wasn't that a bizarre thing, DBK and PIF being his hosts on a home visit to his boyfriend's parents... he was going to need to get used to that) he checked the fridge and counters and found he had just about everything he needed to make what he had in mind.

"Can you teach me how to do that?" DBK asked after a moment, startling MK into nearly dropping the sauce he needed for the broth. "Not the recipe itself, just..." He gestured to the counter. "Red Son has a bit of a proclivity toward cooking and he's been trying to get me involved, but we've never cooked anything like. That."

His words were awkward and stilted, but MK could tell he was trying. The same way he could tell PIF wasn't kidding with her offer. They just seemed to... want to get to know him as a potential... son-in-law... huh.

"Sure, but you're gonna want to shrink down a bit for this."

Lunch turned out amazing and, while awkward (much like most of the day)... it was nice not to have to hide their dating for once. And Red actually seemed pretty happy! Though he learned quickly that the Monkey King was still a bit of an (understandably) sore subject that was best avoided. For now.

Maybe not forever though.

(When PIF very not subtly dropped him and Red Son both off inside Pigsy's Noodles after their lunch, the only response he got was a "oh, so they finally found out huh? Looks like things went well" from Pigsy and Tang. Maybe he wasn't as sneaky as he thought he was...)

i watched monkie kid season 1 i don't understand how episodes 5, 9, and 10 are even kinda angstyyyyyyy maybe it's because i've dived so deep into the angst potential of ninjago that now i'm oblivious to all other forms of angst but please explore the angst potential for me thank you

AIGHT, SO EPISODE FIVE.

WE GET SEVERAL THINGS OUT OF IT, AND THE FIRST IS RIGHT SMACK DAB AT THE BEGINNING.

Mk lives above the noodle shop.

BUT WHY? Unless he has no where else to go…

Yeah you could say it really is just easier for him to work there but Mk seems fairly young. What would someone his age be doing living above a noodle shop and working there?

Anyway, that’s angsty because it throws open the doors for an angsty Mk backstory. I headcanon that he was living on the streets for a while. Then there’s the fact that he has a job, which--isn’t that child labor? Unless it was the only way Pigsy could get him to accept a place to stay…

(I actually wrote a fic from Pigsy’s POV about that a little lol lkfmaewif you can find it here if you wanna give it a go skdldsfsdfjkad)

Anyway, so that’s a bit angsty lol, or at least has the potential for angst.

Then there’s the fact that Mk’s probably gonna freak out every time he hears the word “perfect” after that crazy experience. It’s also pretty clear at the end that he doesn’t tell anyone about it.

And then comes the saddest part about it for me. HE GENUINELY DOESN’T RELAX UNTIL THEY’RE YELLING AT HIM. LIKE BRO, THE ONLY WAY HE FEELS LIKE EVERYTHING IS “NORMAL” IS IF SOMEBODY’S YELLING AT HIM AND THAT’S A LITTLE CONCERNING. Pigsy yells a lot, yeah, but like all of them? I’m just concerned that he seems to 100% think it’s good when people yell at him.

Which brings me to another headcanon that maybe he used to be ignored a lot, so as long as they’re paying attention to him it’s okay, even if they’re yelling at him.

Episode five isn’t super angsty honestly, but it does open up the doors for angsty headcanons and whatnot, so I think that’s what the hype for that one is about.

I’ma skip right to ten now just cause order doesn’t matter :P dkflawoeif

(before I start can I just say that Mk’s one clone has my whole heart: “I don’t know what to tell you guy” I LOVE HIM SDLKFMAOIWEJKFMDSADF)

Ten is mostly Red Son angst because DBK was bouta kill him and called him a traitor. We literally saw him about to start crying oN SCREEN LSKDFMAWOEIF Like the lip wobble as DBK just talked down at him-- ;A;

Anyway, judging from the first episode I’m gonna assume it’s safe to say DBK never actually met Red Son before he was trapped under the mountain since he didn’t really seem to know who he was, but Red Son still seems to want to do everything he can to impress him and gain his approval, but why would you want to do that for a stranger?

Unless Princess Iron Fan has been talking him up for years, telling Red Son all about his dad to the point where he feels like he knows him and how many times do you think she said “he’s going to love you” to him as they worked to free his father. Then, after all that, after so many years of wanting to meet him and join him and rule the world with him and then he tells him he’s nothing. That he wouldn’t trust him because of how big of a failure he is.

I dunno man, I just think that would hurt klsdfmaowiemalsdf

Then there’s the AU’s where like “what if Iron Fan didn’t forward in time and Red Son got like BLASTED” and all that good stuff XD

And not related to angst but Iron Fan nabbin Mk and like, standing over him protectively pretty much killed me (HE HAD A MOM FOR A FEW MINUTES--)

(And then spicynoodle shippers went feral because Red Son was all “I GOT YO BACK NOODLE BOY--” yeah good times lksdfmawoieflksdf

Episode nine…

HOOOOO BOY LEMME TELL YA LSKDMFAOWIEFIA;JFSD

(Episode seven gives us a bit of a set up for it because we get to see a bit more of Mk’s character and the way he’s 100% ADHD, doesn’t tell Pigsy about the fact something is literally trying to kill him because he genuinely thinks Pigsy’s gonna throw him out if he doesn’t do this one thing right-- and just yeah slkdfaowief Mk has a lot of angst potential ksdfwefskdfj)

I have my reaction to this whole episode that I wrote out while I watched lol and I’m going to be taking a few things from that here’s the thing if you wanna read that XD

So! The episode starts with Mk smashing a--in Wukong’s words--“priceless ancient mural” that has the Journey to the West crew on it, which made Wukong stans go feral because that’s basically a family portrait and he’s getting it smashed. So like, Wukong is not okay sldkfwieofasdf XD Angst there, got me wondering what happened to the old crew and I’m curious to see if they’ll touch on that. Far as we’re aware though, Wukong seems to have been mostly alone for a long time. It’s just sad is all T-T

In comes Six Eared Macaque! Now this is where the angst really starts.

So it’s the classic, mentor’s going to slow for the apprentice so the apprentice turns to the dark side to speed things up a little and then gets betrayed by evil mentor and learns lesson in the end trope, but there was a whole lot more about it that FREAKED ME OUT LSKFDMAOIWEF

The first thing that got me was just the whole jacket thing. Macaque literally put his face on Mk with a clear “mine now” and it was like OH THAT IS NOT OKAY.

And then Macaque’s manipulation tactics are like WOW, OKAY, *SCREAMS* Cause he starts small with the things that Mk wants and then slowly starts to drive a wedge between him and Wukong and then straight up gets this kid to call himself a weapon, like BRO??? Mk literally starts to see himself as a weapon and that’s uh, not okay sldkfawef Macaque was able to do that though because of how MK sees things. If we look at past episodes like the Clone one we just see him doing everything in his power to be “useful” so that they’ll still like him and still want to hang out with him. He wants to give them everything because he loves them, but he’d also let them take everything from him too. Anyway, it just seems like Mk truly believes they that people won’t want him around if he’s not useful and Macaque takes that and runs with it slkdfmaoiwef

I’m gonna say the whole training with Macaque took place over a couple months. We also don’t see any of the others in that time, which means it’s likely Macaque was getting him to distance himself from his friends too. And Mk tends not to tell anybody about anything that happens to him, likely because he doesn’t want to bother them or be a burden, probably due to some past experiences making him think that he’s a burden if he’s human.

So after Macaque gets Mk to trust him and want to please him-- “I was expecting more.” “I can do better!”-- he takes Mk to a super sketchy place to kill a demon, which Mk doesn’t look comfortable with at ALL, but he does anyway, even when Macaque starts to act really weird, he just keeps going and making excuses for him in his head because “it’s not him who’s acting weird, i just need to stop being paranoid” the manipulation is pretty intense here :’)

So, then Mk gets betrayed by someone who was being nice to him, steals all of his power and messes with his thinking so badly that he can’t even pick up the staff. Macaque ruffles his hair fondly, a gesture of affection that’s probably gonna give Mk flashbacks now if someone ever tries to do it to him again and is straight up ready to kill him.

So like, angst sldfaowiefmdf

Fight angst, Mk thinking he’s not strong enough, not good enough anymore, literally starts CRYING--I WILL NEVER BE OKAY AGAIN--and then promptly gets rid of this demon. (“I just wanted to be good enough for you”) Wukong angst too cause he nearly saw Mk get killed. And then in the ensuing explosion he shields him and that's not angsty I’m just pointing it out because it gets my whole soul every time and I will never get over that part slkdfmawoief

Anyway, the ending. Mk’s sitting there staring down at the staff, feeling utterly terrible for causing all of that, then looks up with a resigned but determined expression and apologizes. Wukong scolds him a little, keeps it pretty light all things considered lol

But here’s what gets me. After Wukong pulls him into a hug Mk tentatively asks “So… you’ll keep training me?”

Because dude

He honestly thought he wasn’t going to keep training him. His resigned look when he apologized, he was FULLY EXPECTING WUKONG TO TAKE THE STAFF AND TELL HIM THEY WERE DONE.

Like, dude…

There’s also that one part when Macaque pretends to be Mk and Wukong freezes so badly he doesn’t even, like, think. He knows Mk’s pinned to the mountain at that point but still the idea of accidentally hitting him and the fear on not-Mk’s face made him freeze up so badly he didn’t even think to use his true sight (which would have made him see right through the illusion/shapeshifting) or use his LOGIC, to know it wasn’t Mk.

Anyway, I’ma stop now because I already spent too long on this and may have gotten slightly carried away but if you want another person to give you angst pointers on episodes @herhighnesstheprincess is FANTASTIC AT POINTING OUT ANGST LSKDFMAWOIEF

And hey, this might not qualify as angst for you and that’s A-OK. I guess it’s pretty tame compared to some of the stuff Ninjago throws in casually, but it does kinda address the angst which makes it hit harder sometimes lkdfmawoiefmfd Like they didn’t wait ten seasons to have Mk cry, he was in a stressful situation and struggling and dealing with a lot of bad thought towards himself in the moment and cried and it’s just-- ;A;

Yeah anyway sdlkfmaoiwemfsdf Congrats if you made it through my ramble sdlkwefkkldfadll I’m sure I forgot a few things cause technically speaking I’ve only watched the episodes once (which I must remedy soon because this series deserves a second go the animation alone is INCREDIBEL SKLDFAOOFEAFLK) so I’m bound to have missed a bunch of things, but in any case, hope this was worth your time lol XD Have a day as amazing as you are <3 ;)

I don't know if you take requests, but I just read those two fica you reblogged and now I'm curious what dark Spicynoodleshipping would look like to you.

Yeah no worries, I love getting asks like this! Tho I don’t have a lot of specific scenarios that would warrant a drawing or a comic, but I do love writing out ideas kinda free form and letting them develop that way so I’ll answer that way (and maybe I’ll draw something later from it if I come up with something I like enough)

So.. Dark Spicynoodles...

First of all, I would be remiss not to mention the Demon Custom story that @starrosefics is currently writing about Red Son deciding he loves MK and just straight up kidnapping him. I heckin love this idea and I am dying for more of it~ I won’t speculate on the scenario playing out at all, though, because I’m not the one writing it and that would seem rude.. I’ll just say that Red Son doing common demon things like abducting the object of his desire and thinking yes this is totally normal, we’re dating now get used to it is killing me I love it so so much :U

Second, the obvious one: Red Son pretending to join MK and later betraying him in order to get close and steal the staff.. this one I’ve seen a number of other people write or theorize about. It’s definitely the most plausible scenario for an angsty relationship between the two and depending on how one would choose to write an ending, Red could portrayed as sympathetic due to the pressures from his parents or as villainous for going along with it despite having developed feelings for MK. Either way, it’d be fun to break MK’s heart (and then have Red Son patch it back together if you’re so inclined to do so) This one’s got a lot of iterations in fandom so I won’t go too in depth on any specific scenario involving it because I might accidentally take someone’s idea that I’ve seen because I forget when and where I’ve seen stuff all the time

Third, another fun thing that could be played with: MK’s clones. We’ve been shown that they get a bit out of control when left alone for too long.. one might even say a bit evil. There’s some great potential there. Here’s something- one of MK’s clones (for whatever reason) goes full blown villain, even more so than Porty MK, and runs off to join the DBK fam. Maybe in this scenario, Red Son already has a budding interest in the Monkie Kid, so when he shows up on their doorstep and asks to help his family conquer the world, Red Son is thrilled! Who knows, maybe he doesn’t bother telling the DBK fam that he’s just a clone at first? That information comes out later, after Red Son has already fallen head over heels for this new evil MK who’s staying in his house and complimenting his tech and helping his family prepare to take over the city~ The best part is, this evil MK likes him back! It’s a dream come true for Red Son, he gets to be with the cute boy he’s had his eye on AND he doesn’t have to betray his family to do so.

Oh here’s something fun.. real MK getting the brunt of the blame when evil clone MK and Red Son start to go around committing crimes together. As MK goes around delivering noodles, trying to have a normal day, he suddenly finds people are afraid of him? He finds out that he’s been spotted palling around with Red Son and terrorizing the city, and he’s pretty sure he would remember doing that, so something weird is going on... Eventually he manages to catch up to the pair and MK is shocked when he sees himself helping Red Son burn down the city.. he’s more shocked when the other him leans over and kisses Red Son amidst the inferno. The mOST shocking thing is that he feels a little twinge of.. jealousy? That’s weird. He should probably stop them from burning down that building and stealing all those valuable artifacts and not focus on these weird feelings he’s having... anyway, cue a fight scene where everyone is very confused and surprised that there are two MKs.

There’s lots of ways this story could end.. I think a fun way to conclude it is maybe evil clone MK gets dramatically poofed back into nothing by real MK. And Red Son, furious and heartbroken, unleashes his fury on MK and is about to incinerate HIM into nothing... but he can’t, because for a moment they were on the same side so he actually allowed himself to admit it: he fell in love with that same scared face looking up at him. So he lets MK go and flees. Who knows to where? Probably not home, not right away. He needs some time to himself to just think and be sad. MK himself is pretty shaken up by the whole thing too, but he’s more likely to chalk the whole thing up to a weird clone going haywire again and try to forget the way Red Son was looking at him just now...

I think that’s all I’ve got in me for the moment. There’s lots of other great situations in canon that could allow for MK and Red to have a dysfunctional, dark relationship.. to briefly list a few.. the use of shapeshifting powers and hiding their identity from each other while dating (they both have shapeshifting powers in the original text so this could be interesting), Red Son scheming with other demons like Spider Queen to capture MK so Red Son can rescue him and trick him into a relationship that way, just everything about the calabash god there’s so much angst potential in that artifact if either one of them got stuck in that thing and Jin and Yin knew about their crush and managed to trick them into thinking they could be with the other in that world.. it’d be way harder for them to leave willingly for sure.

Anyway, I love spicynoodles and this was super fun to write out!! Thanks for the ask :D

for the prompt sutff- spicynoodles with “You really thought I was dead?" , “I want to believe, I do…I just…how can I believe in something that I can’t see?” and "I feel so anxious and sick and like my heart is trying to beat out of my chest"?

It was best described as a blaze of glory.

Red Son, wielding the Samadhi Fire he had mastered as a child, fought against the Lady Bone Demon. In the end, she was dead. Nothing but charcoal that made Xiaotian glad she had abandoned Bai He beforehand.

But Red had been nowhere to be found.

They had searched. Xiaotian had been a little more desperate. Before the battle, with Samadhi Fire glowing bright in his eyes, they had confessed their feelings. And now his new boyfriend was gone.

All they could find was his jacket, nearly nothing but shreds.

At least Red's parents had allowed him to keep the remains.

There had been a funeral. DBK had even hugged him, which was a… surprise. And then everyone had turned their attention to rebuilding the city and getting back to a new normal, which included several things.

Wukong had opened up to Xiaotian. During a very long talk, he explained everything. His depression, the love he had formed for Tripitaka but had never expressed because it was inappropriate, his grief over his friends that only grew worse when he had to deal away DBK, one of the few people he had left, everything. That included his relationship with Macaque.

Said macaque hadn't reappeared. Bai He, formally under the guardianship of both Sandy and the Spider Clan, was clearly glad.

Xiaotian himself had taken a new monkey form as the result of his deep-down abilities. He was working with Wukong and Bai He, also showing those abilities, to figure those out. It matched with Xiaojiao, experimenting with her dragon ancestral abilities with pride.

Pigsy had also proposed to Tang. They had always been together, he just wanted to make it legal in case something happened to him.

There were all these new changes but everything felt the same.

Except for Red being gone.

Xiaotian sighed as he entered his apartment. It was a quiet night, with everyone doing their own thing. All he wanted to do was-

Hands went over his eyes. He stiffened, ready to pull out the staff. Then a low, familiar voice spoke, right in his ear. "Guess who."

Xiaotian froze, feeling the new normal hiccup because this wasn't possible. He was dead, gone, never to be seen-

"Noodle Boy?" Oh gods, now he sounded concerned. "Are you alright? How are you feeling?"

Maybe he had snapped?

Xiaotian decided to play along. "I feel...so anxious and sick and like my heart is trying to beat out of my chest?" Hey, be honest.

There was silence.

"Not the mood I was going for." the hallucination admitted.

"Considering I'm hallucinating my dead boyfriend, that's what you're getting."

There was another beat of silence. It was long enough that Xiaotian started to realize the hands over his eyes were… strangely solid. And warm. One released his face to gently grip his hip and pull him closer. "You really thought I was dead?" Red's voice was quiet.

Hurt. "Believe me, I-"

"I want to believe, I do…I just…how can I believe in something that I can’t see?" Before Red could say it, he opened his eyes and turned.

And there was his boyfriend.

He was in his human midway form, with blue edging everything, being a bit taller, and a gold nose ring in. He was dressed in simple clothes. His hair had been shorn short, part of it shaved off entirely. The worse part was the long scar that slashed across his face and over his eye, turning that eye into a washed out blue.

He had changed, like everything else.

But he was still Red.

And that was what Xiaotian breathed out before tackling him into a hug.

Random idea, but secret relationship Spicynoodles, except nobody's figured it out by the time S3 rolls around. So Red joins the crew somehow and he and MK have much more time together... except there's a ton more people around so they can't be too romantic otherwise questions will start coming.

Oooo, I’ve seen this around! My turn! MWAHAHA >:D! Sorry this took so long.

Red pushed MK against a wall, their hands and mouths exploring each other, sparks flew between them, an undeniable passion ignited.

They had barely anytime to kiss and cuddle as they had been constantly surrounded by the others on the flying ship and they hadn’t exactly told the others about the nature of their relationship.

Since New Years, the two had gotten to know each other. Along the lines a friendship had formed then a romantic relationship which became long distance when the Demon Bull King decided to take Red out of the city and away from the madness.

They hadn’t seen each other until they appeared at Red’s home, asking for help.

And Red accepted. After all the White Bone Spirit had messed with his father, this was personal and getting to see the Noodle Boy after so long was a plus.

They agreed to keep their relationship under wraps for now since they were afraid that the group would make them break up in favor of focusing on defeating the White Bone Spirit.

They didn’t want that to happen so they kept quiet. Well they tried to, it was so difficult not to touch each other and cradle the other in their arms after so long.

They took every opportunity when they were alone to shower each other with affection, careful not to get caught.

Red peeled back MK’s jacket so one side of it rested on half of his arm. “I love you,” he proclaimed in between kisses.

“I love you too. I love you so much,” they replied as they hastily ran their fingers through their partner’s hair.

The kisses grew hot and heavy until it was broken by a “MK!”

They separated with Xiaotian quickly pulling up the jacket, softening the creases and Red fixing his mussed hair.

The two tried to hide their red faces as Mei walked up to them. “Hey, Red, MK.”

The human waves at his friend. “Hey, Mei! You called?”

Mei grinned as she looked at them. “Yea, I did! I was wondering if you wanted to play a game with me!”

“Sure! Want to join, Red?”

The demon hid his scowl, angry at being interrupted. “No, I’m fine. I have to help Sandy with something anyway. Bye, peasants.”

He walked away, hands in pockets. MK felt a bit sad at that but he had no time to comfort the demon as Mei pulled him to the couch to play a game.

While the game was fun and he enjoyed hanging out with his friend, sadness lingered at remembering his partner’s expression. Eventually he and Mei separated. He made his way to find Red who was leaning against an invention he was working on with Sandy.

“Hey, you two,” he greeted with a wave.

“Hey, little man,” Sandy greeted in return in the middle of tightening a bolt on the latest invention.

“Hi, Noodle Boy!”

“Hey, Red! I wanted to know if you were done.”

“Oh, ummm… are we done, Sandy?”

“Yep! Go on!”

“Thank you.” He grabbed his partner’s hand and dragged them away into the other’s room. Once he locked it, he pressed a kiss against his lips.

“You okay?”

“I’m fine, Noodle Boy. Why would I not be?”

“Because Mei ruined our moment.”

“It’s fine,” they repeated. “Not as if I’m not used to it. I wish I could flay that White Bone Spirit myself and save the day.”

“Like a hero?” MK interrupted with a smirk.

“No! Just… just so we could announce ourselves as a couple with the possibility of being split apart.”

“I know. I know. One day. I promise.”

“I know.”

They sighed together, the same conversation happened day in and day out about the nature of their relationship and revealing it.

Red settled the human in his lap, wrapping his arm around his waist and burying his chin in the other’s hair.

Time passed where their relationship continued in secret as it always had.

They had fought a myriad of demons, gotten injured a bunch of times, made memories and enjoyed each other’s company. The others always looked as if they had something to say when one of the two had a strong reaction to their partner’s injuries but remained quiet.

Even if they suspected the two had feelings for each other, there was a silent reassurance they weren’t going to act on it.

“So, kid, how do you feel about Red?” Pigsy asked one day when he, Pigsy and Sun Wukong were in the kitchen, the two helping the pig make some red bean cakes. Well Xiaotian was doing most of the helping while the Monkey attempted to steal pieces of every batch.

The king had an arm around the pig’s waist, sitting on the counter.

“Hm? Why do you ask?”

The Monkey King and Pigsy exchanged glances before turning to the younger. “We just want to make sure you’re okay with him being here, bud. Since you two were rivals.”

He raised a brow. “Well, Red is good now so I don’t mind.”

“He treat you well?” The king nudged Pigsy as if silently telling him that he was supposed to ask that in a more subtle manner.

“Yes?” The response came out as more of a question than a statement. “Why?”

Another glance between the older adults. “We noticed you have you know feelings for him.”

They waved their arms in dismissal. “No! No! I do not have feelings for Red! That’s crazy! If I did, they would impede our goal so I do not have feelings for Red!”

They stared as if they didn’t believe them. “It’s okay if you do, bud.”

“Wait. What?”

“Yea, we don’t mind. We think it’s sweet and he seems like a good fit for you.”

A wild grin. “Really?”

“Yep,” Sun Wukong responded. “In fact, we wouldn’t mind if you two dated or anything but you don’t like Red so.” He shrugged.

“I wasn’t being completely honest about that.”

Pigsy rolled his eyes. “We could tell.”

“It wouldn’t hurt our goal if I said something?”

“Nope,” they replied.

“As long as you’re happy and safe, bud. That’s all that matters and we don’t think confessing would hurt our mission at all.”

He gripped both of them in tight hug. “Oh thank you! I’ll uhhh confess to Red one day! Bye!” They skipped off, beaming ear to ear to tell Red about it.

The two elders laughed. “Are we goin’ to tell them we already now?”

“No, it’s more fun this way,” Sun Wukong said as he reached for a red bean cake. Pigsy slapped his hand. “Hey!”

The pig rolled his eyes for the second time. “I give you two weeks before they say something.”

“I give you three.”

“Shake on it?” He took the king’s hand.

The king bobbed his head and shook it. “Shake on it.”

Me? grafting headcannons for other characters from other cartoons onto the legos? it's more likely than you think

The fight had ended some time ago yet Red Son was still trying to catch his breath, exhaustion pouring from his very being. That fight... that took a lot out of everyone. Every part of him that wasn't bruised was sore and in some places it was the near pleasant soreness of using too much fire in one sitting,in others it felt as though his limbs were just going to fall off.

At some point his glamor slipped off but he was just too drained to throw it back up. At least he wasn't the only one. Fangs even bigger than his own were protruding from Xiaojiao's lips and Tang was fussing with one of her newly grown in horns as he bandaged her up, Pigsy was currently sporting coarse black fur and tusks he'd apparently had no idea he could sprout at all until this battle so Sandy and Sun Wukong were trying to talk him through it (while giving eachother all too knowing looks, Red Son wondered if some secrets were still being held in this group or not)

And much to his (far too exhausted to be anything beyond quietly appreciative) delight Xiaotian was leaned against him in full adorable Monkey form. His soft brown fur a whisper in Red Son's hand as he tried to calm down his still high-strung partner.

Xaotian's (cute cute cute) tail swished nervously ears twitching with every unexpected sound (adorable) dark eyes surrounded by gentle tan markings flickering to the source of the sound and turning golden for a quick second as he thoroughly scanned their surroundings, anticipating another attack while they were all still tired.

When he looked about ready to get up and start doing laps around the perimeter to be sure, Red Son took then to pull him into his lap. He was far bigger in his bull form, so Xiaotian fit snugly there. He felt him stiffen a bit at the motion, but eventually leaned back into the embrace.

Red Son glanced up and unintentionally met Sun Wukong's eye. The Monkey King's ears were tilted back to take in as much sound as possible as well, and surely he could see the tension still in Red Son. So he curled a little tighter around Xiaotian, as if to force him to rest, and Wukong gave him a slight nod before turning his attention back to Pigsy.

I’m always open to requests, though sometimes it may take me a while to fill them out! I take a while to write since I tend to write a lot more than necessary and I’m the only person editing these. I hope the wait for these was worth it!

“Stop kissing me, it tickles!”

Macaque jumped forward at the feeling of something pressed against the back of his neck, whirling around to see a very bemused Monkey King. “Peaches, don’t just come up behind me like that!”

“What, did I scare the great Six Eared Macaque?” Wukong teased, pulling him into an embrace. Despite the other monkey’s low growl and displeased expression he noted how he melted into the hold and his tail swished softly in relaxation. “Let me make it up to you.”

He leaned forward, pressing his nose into Macaque’s neck with intent to kiss him before the other leaned back suddenly the second his lips made contact. “NO.”

“No?” Wukong raised an eyebrow, pressing another quick kiss to his neck. His eyebrows raised even further when a high pitched distressed sound escaped his throat, but Macaque did not make any attempt to actually get up, just reposition himself and scrunch up his shoulders so make it harder to reach his neck. As the Monkey King made a move to give another experimental kiss on the back of his ear instead, he found himself with a face full of Macaque’s hands. “Wha-”

“Stop kissing me, it tickles!” Macaque froze

Wukong froze.

They both looked at each other.

Wukong smirked.

“DON’T YOU EVE-AHAHA- FUCK YOU KNOCK IT OFF!”

Red Son and MK sat back to back on their bed, enjoying the relative quiet in the apartment above the noodle shop as they read a novel and trade comic respectively. This was one of their favorite things to do, just enjoying the other’s company in the same vicinity in a moment of calm.

The focus Red had on his novel was slightly distracted, however, as MK had started to gently pet the tuft of fur on his bull tail a while ago. It lulled him into a calmer state and had he not been trying to read he was certain it would have lulled him into sleep. He wondered if the delivery boy even knew he was doing that.

Either way, it made him smile and he decided to replace the bookmark in the page he had attempted to read twice already. He turned his body, MK engrossed in the newest Monkey King anthology so much he did not notice until Red Son placed a kiss on the top of his head.

“Oh!” MK jumped a little, turning to look at Red. “Sorry, I was really into this.”

“I could tell,” Red said with a smile, kissing his boyfriend’s temple. His ears gentle grazed the side of his face and he heard MK make an odd sound before he leaned down further to kiss his cheek.

Again, he made an odd sound and Red Son paused for a second before he placed another kiss to his opposite cheek.

“S-stop!” MK exclaimed with a laugh, leaning his head back. “Stop kissing me, it tickles!”

Oh…. OH! “Is it my ears?” Red Son asked, reaching up his hands to hold them back before kissing MK’s forehead again. “Better?”

MK scowled dramatically, shaking his head. “No, you shouldn’t have to do that. I change my mind, don’t stop, I’ll survive a few kisses if I have to!”

Now it was Red Son’s turn to laugh, bringing his hands down to cup MK’s face. “You’ll have to survive more than a few if you don’t want me to hide my form anymore.”

“That’s fine,” MK said, scowl turning to a triumphant smirk. “I think I know a compromise!”

Face turning from fond smile to fond smile with confusion, Red watched as MK reached up to cup one of his ears and lean forward. “U-uh, Noodle Boy, wh-”

And then MK pressed his lips to the tip of his ear and Red Son lit ablaze in surprise.

If any passersby heard the shouts of “I’m so sorry!” “No, I’m sorry!” and the sudden escape of smoke through the cracked window of the apartment no one brought it to their attention.
