How They Text the Reader Headcanons

↳ Characters included are Bruno Brucciarati, Leone Abbacchio, and Guido Mista. Gender Neutral Reader with they/them pronouns.

A/n: I’ve always wanted to try my hand at doing x Reader text messages! This was very fun to make, and I do plan to make more of this kind of headcanon list for the rest of Bucciarati’s team.

Bruno Bucciarati

Bruno’s text messages are straight to the point and utilize proper grammar like the mother he truly is deep down.

Not the type of person to send emoji’s… ever, really. This is because he views texting as a simple tool to use when he can’t just speak to you in person or over a phone call.

However, you prefer the funnier explanation of it actually being because he’s secretly very inept at using technology (this is very much so part of it he just won’t ever say so).

In all honesty, he prefers to call you and hear the sound of your voice more than communicating over text. He’s the type to call in order to converse about whatever mundane thing is on his mind instead of sending a text.

That said, he’s definitely the type to always tell you good morning or wish you goodnight with a sweet text message.

Also, because of his job, he’s often put into long-term situations where calling isn’t exactly ideal. That’s when he’ll text the most; he just wants to check up on you regularly when he can’t be there in person do so! This became especially true after rising to the position of Capo.

His text messages may seem… bland to those unfamiliar with him.

But since you know him as well as you do, they always ring as genuine and an extension of his polite kindness.

Admittedly, it is hard to argue against the fact that his straightforward style of text often leads to misunderstandings. This is due to his sometimes unreadable tone:

Leone Abbacchio

Hardly ever texted you at the beginning.

Since the two of you started going out, he’s gotten a bit better, though. Before, he was very adamant that if he has something to say, he’ll wait when he’s face-to-face with you.

But when he eventually let it slip that he often forgets what he even wants to talk to you about, you slowly began getting him to text you more.

Arguably the best method of doing so is to get him to tell you about something he feels strongly about. Whether it’s something positive like asking him about the music he’s been listening to recently, or it’s something more devilish like bringing up subjects that really bother him.

Leone is at least very reliable.

Meaning that, although he doesn’t often start a conversation over text himself, he will respond to you reasonably quick.

Tease him by claiming it’s because he has a soft spot for you and he won’t text for an entire day (you know he loves you).

He also prefers to use proper grammar and punctuation in his texts. That said, Leone does use emojis (usually just to express disappointment) and sometimes can seem more expressive in text than he is in actual conversation.

One sweet thing he does over text is that he always sends you a message after he makes it home after a particularly dangerous mission, informing you that he’s safe. He knows you worry, and although he often puts up a front claiming it’s annoying, he truly does take note of that concern.

Abbacchio’s just not completely used to having someone like you in his life who holds a special concern for him. He is adjusting; slow and steady.

And although he forms the habit of texting you more, it’s you and only you he has the energy to do this for (outside of probably Bruno). This leads to other’s on Bucciarati’s team to text you when they want to get a hold of him:

Guido Mista

Real talkative over text, especially in the evening after he’s finished with his dinner. He’s pretty expressive and uses a decent amount of emojis.

Will plop down on his couch with an exaggerated bounce, pull out his phone, only with the purpose of talking to you and doing nothing else on the device.

The two of you actually had to work on how late you’d stay up texting one another.

Hours disappearing in the blink of an eye and leaving you both extra tired the next morning. And on occasions that it was decided to take the conversation into a call… it’s easy to see why you both have slept in late more than once.

Although not as frequently as someone like Narancia, Mista will send memes every now and then. Not only that, but he always replies to the ones you send him.

He prefers to send you embarrassing or funny pictures of others in the group over memes, though. You’ve seen photos of Abbacchio and Fugo in particular that Mista could honestly use as blackmail.

This has bitten him in the butt quite a bit, though.

After discovering Mista’s been doing this, the others now send you every single unfavorable image they own of the gunslinger. Even Bruno’s sent his fair share.

And although Mista often forgets to say good morning to you through text, he always says goodnight to you.

Not only that, but Mista will text right after he’s completed with a mission. Although a bit of a goofball, he always takes work seriously, and will leave you on delivered on hours at a time depending on what he’s up to. But the minute things have calmed, he’s letting you know.

Mista will certainly ask one of his common out-of-pocket questions designed to get a conversation going via a text message.

This isn’t a bad thing per se, except for the fact that he has a bad habit of doing so at three in the morning.

Oh well.............this is embarrassing but....I haven't actually written any proper lines since the last fake/real chapter.......... 👉👈

I've been planning things (fake/real and two others...) but it's all VERY roughly written and VERY heavy on spoilers.

Still, I wouldn't want to leave you with nothing so:

Why yes I DID type this on my phone, you can tell by all the typos and weird grammar mistakes that I haven't bothered to clean up yet. Either way,,,,,,,enjoy some unedited, unfinshed angst :)

🎶 What music do you listen to when you write?

I mostly find it pretty impossible to write to music with lyrics, so it's almost always instrumental.

I can't remember if I ever linked this playlist or not but this is what I put on most of the time. It's mostly video game OST, Disney + OUAT. But I also have a handful of spotify playlists, including a playlist which is just a bunch of different Pinocchio soundtracks, a specific fake/real playlist (aka, disney OST), a playlist that consists mostly of contemporary classical and a playlist that's like.....90% Skyrim OST (Jeremy Soule, SO beloved).

Occasionally, if there's noise from outside my headphones and I can't block it out with anything above, I put on my dubstep/EDM/generally LOUD music playlist because it's less distracting than other music with lyrics/has less lyrics than other music.

hi jen~ whats your thoughts on the recent Louis interview with Jojo?

It was good? I actually found the 98.9 interview wildly more entertaining (not least because Louis himself was struggling, this guy was not the best interviewer), but in both cases, we learned some things, and that's always fun! I would argue you learn WAY more in the 98.9 one, Jojo is mostly repetitive fluff/filler, but I feel like UAs were really selective with both options. Anyway, since you asked specifically about Jojo, here's a recap, I haven't done one of THOSE in a minute!

Unrelated takes from me: 1) Jojo's hair, wow!! 2) How is Louis hotter every time he's on this show? 3) All the prework Louis did for this rollout is truly fascinating, even the "live" pieces

And now some momentsTM that I liked from the interview:

Louis spent the first half of COVID doing nothing but putting his feet up (lol, I would reckon he actually HAD it at least once, too, but whatever), then in the second half, doing this record

He's doing "gewd, a LI'TLE bit tired"

Damn, he's into that dude from Stone (note to self: would I call Stone punk???), and I love how he says he's pretty judgmental when it comes to music, so he's figuring it's on him to bridge the taste gap with his fans and introduce a lot of stuff he thinks they're gonna love (me: yeah, because they ONLY listen to 4 guys, literally ever, that lens has room for growth, my friend)

FITF is a distinct different from Walls in that it was a) designed to stand up at a live show ("Every song," says Jojo, "YES, every single song," says Louis, "Bullshit," says me, "those late-era Streets weepy cryalongs work for one song, tops!") and b) it's "hopeful, there's no emotional weight" (says the dude who wrote Chicago)

Louis wrote 40 songs for this album, recorded 25, then picked 16, 17, and he won't go back and unvault them, so don't ask :(

There isn't a track with the title in it, he tried at least twice (two sets of writers), but it's quite 'ard to capture it down in words, cut to the feeling! (paraphrasing)

He HATES being in the room for a listening party or to debut some tracks: "You feel like a bit of dick, just sat there, nodding your head along to your own tunes." (his voice during this bit, uncapturable in text) He wants people to have their own opinion, and, "If I'm sat there, they won't say it's shit if it's dead eggy, no offense to people who do that," with a cheeky smile

Louis's drummer is also his musical director???

He goes into the pit at the end during KMM because it's the same energy he gets when he first walks out on stage, only x10, which sure is some feedback, if you're looking for it!

In answer to whether he has an alias for hotels, he does, but he can't remember the ones from 10 years ago and is pretty sure it's the same one today anyway (okay, stoner!), but regardless, it's obviously a fake name, which is annoying when hotel staff want ID during the many times he's locked himself out (always the hotel keys! free idea for Oli, maybe just create a fake ID for this pseud, McLovin style)

Only Louis can say he never wants to come across as arrogant or wanky, and because of that, it stopped him from looking at how important he is ("dare I say it!") or his songs are for people in some moments ("it's us as a collective") and not have it sound like garbage

His take on the video for Bigger Than Me was that because it's a big-sounding song, you need a nice-looking place, and you have to have a bit of narrative beyond just walking around, so he's building a fire: "maybe it represents GROWTH...maybe it's just a fire" (his voiceeee in all of this bit, too, sarcastically hilarious)

The best and worst moments in past performances are captured elsewhere (long pause for the classic Freddie in the crowd story, puking after too many vodka red bull top-ups on stage story, respectively), but the drinking on stage got me because I think it has been pretty well established that they DID drink on stage, that it wasn't rare, so maybe this was the first time??? Anyway, it WAS just after Zayn left, so could be lots more going on...I keep thinking of those water bottle reaction shots, plus Liam Payne's own casual descriptions

He moved away from anything too dance-y on Walls because he had already done it with Steve and Bebe but acknowledges he was close-minded and overthinking it on that album, hence he's embracing the dahnce here

Louder, for people in the back, he's different than he was 10 years ago, he feels he's constantly evolving as a person and as an artist, it's a moving puzzle

Jojo's obsessed with the paranormal, and Louis's a cynic (hello, new X Files one-shot), so Louis's happy to stay in whatever spooky room someone wants to assign him to and report back (bonus points if you know the special word that'll get the ghosts to talk to him, he's down for it)

I wanna know more about the time Louis had sleep paralysis and thought someone was sitting on his chest, but it was probably just sleep deprivation, not a hag (!!!)

The tattoo discussion gave the rather obvious reveal that Louis's main point in exchanging tats with Jojo was to mildly embarrass him, so he's owed some sort of retribution for covering up the shit emoji (typo in FITF sees like an odd choice, but I'm not in the know on "shaming radio DJs")

Disguises are silly because even on Louis's first ski trip after he was famous, he was covered head to toe, you could only see his eyes, and people still spotted him and wanted photos. Jojo figures someone must have told them, and Louis thinks it's because of Harry being equally famous the person who he was with, but Jojo points out that Harry this person would have been covered up, too, which really gets Louis thinking, lmao. I loved the bit with Jojo staring into Louis's eyes (Louis: "Yeah, you get it now")

Old friends are super British about Louis's fame and aren't that bothered ("in the nicest way"), so once a year (!!), they'll give him a well done ("I know--at least I hope--that they're proud of me, we don't talk about it," what, not even Stan? ouch)

Louis DOES have a special relationship with Chicago, this affiliation, so the goings on in the song are half theoretical/imaginative and half based on real events (OOHHHHHH????)

Fictional World Role Play: "Revealing Secrets" part.1

prologue: Aftermath in "HELLUVA BOSS - OZZIE'S // S1: Episode 7 - FINALE"

It's Halloween of 2021 Blitz is crying while in a fetal position on the couch when he heard a buzz from his hell phone he looked and see it's a text message from me wishing him a Happy Halloween with Halloween theme emojis he wipe the tears off his eyes and text back Blitz texting: "Happy Halloween to you too Stacy what are you planning?" me texting: "I'm going to Putnam Pantry Candies, Ice Creams & Cafe to get a sundae like I do every year on Halloween want to come?"

Blitz texting: "Sure just give me a sec" me texting: "Ok I'll open the portal for you when you're ready see you then" I text him a black and orange heart emoji Blitz texting: "Yeah see you there" he text me a wink with a kiss emoji after we hang up he got himself ready washing his face making sure there's no tears in his eyes I'm at Putnam Pantry Candies, Ice Creams & Cafe got a buzz from him and open the portal for him to come in he came out while I was blushing me: "Woah cool jacket Master Blitz you looked like a bad boy superhunk"

he lean against me flirting Blitz: "Glad you like it if you want I can wear this when were in the bed together having fun" I was stuttering only to get surprise when he boop me on the nose Blitz: "Boop!!" me: " (laughing) Hey!" as he went inside I can sense his aura that something's not right that something must've happen and follow inside me: "After we have our sundaes you can get whatever you want here it's on me" Blitz: "Wow thanks Stacy" after we grab our sundaes and ate at the table things were awkwardly silence he decided to break the silence and ask Blitz: "So how're you doing?" (note: the next part I'm about to say is true about my grandma Mimi Ann's death)

me: "Well let's see I heard that my grandmother Mimi Ann was coughing up blood collapse on the ground in the backyard at my aunts Auntie Jojo's 4th of July party then went to the hospital after she recovers the doctors recommended that she goes into surgery on her chest in August but there's a chance that she might not make it and you know the results the surgery went horribly wrong and she died on August 12th I didn't know what to feel anymore after hearing that then on August 21 you, Moxxie, and me where capture by the secret agents while Loona, Millie, and Stolas came to saved us and battling the secret agents after things were settle with you and everyone else on that same date of Mimi Ann's funeral so a lot of shit has happen this summer dealing with this"

me: "She appear in an urn" I looked down while Blitz rub his neck nervously at my answer Blitz: "Oh….." he turn around and started to tell me about his life Blitz: " A while back when I was little me my mom, dad, and my sister Barbie we work in the circus then I first met Stolas and there me and Fizzarolli he too help the circus we're once best friends until something personal happen when we got older and this is where I stopped here" me: "That's good you told me about yourself little at a time you don't have to push further this is fine little progress talking about your life" Blitz: "Thanks that feels fucking great getting some of this off my chest I'm glad you listen" me: "I'm glad to be of use to you my Master Blitz"

I unpause the movie as we ate candies and continue watching until a tarantula popped at the scene and I scream while hugging Blitz me: "MOTHERFUCKINGCOCKSUCKINGTITSLICKINASSHOLEBITCH!!!!" he laugh so hard at my reaction while hugging me back I close my eyes not looking at the screen me: "Let me know when it's gone please?" present day March 11, 2023 I was helping around in the I.M.P Headquarters cleaning the office while organizing the files and documents while Moxxie holding his signature mug and Loona texting on her hell phone Moxxie looks around Moxxie: "(softly claps twice) You know, I checked the scale today (inhales) And it said I lost two pounds this week" me: "That's great Master Moxxie" Loona looks at Moxxie, then rolls her eyes back to her phone, much to his annoyance

I'm a Hooman!" then throws a knife and lunges at said cutout Moxxie looks at her disturbed as I walk next to him and whisper me: "Um Master Moxxie I'm scare to ask" he place his hand on my shoulder reassuring me Moxxie: "Don't worry Stacy I'll handle this" Moxxie: Millie, honey. Is everything okay? Millie hisses back at Moxxie in response disturbing us even more but she manages to calm down Millie: "Yeah. Just…bumped into an ex." (tail twitches) me: "You met your ex? damn" rubbing the back of my neck remembering my ex-boyfriend M.K (AKA Matt Sevdlow) Moxxie: "Oh! Oh…" Millie: "(retracts knife) He just kept going on about how he has money now, "a bright future," and "a bigger cock." me and Moxxie: "Wait, what?" Millie: "(raises voice) Every time I see his stupid face, I can't help it! Alphabetize them" me: "Yes Master Blitz" he smile at me as he walks back into his office while me and Moxxie picked up the files and documents he ask Moxxie: "So Stacy did anything at home?"

me: "No I don't want to do anything in my room on account of my cat Yoshi's death in 2 days just want that day over with just staying superstitious" Millie: "(sad) Oh that's right she died on March 13th" Moxxie: "How long has it been?" me: "13 years now can't believe that cursed number out of any date it has to be that bad luck number she died on just wished she wait until next month instead of dying on the date a couple of weeks before my birthday March is now my curse month"

Enough with the walls shit, we have a door!" with the damaged walls a wind gusts through the office and distributes all the photos Blitz had been saving across the town me: "NO!!!!!! all the files and documents!!!!!" Blitz: "My research!"

The helicopter approaches Blitz creating a bridge for them to walk upon and the pilot steps out Pilot: "I.M.P?" me: "Yes that's them" pilot: "Right this way, please!" Moxxie: "Uh, sir?" Moxxie points a gun toward the pilot while Millie holds her knife out and I summon my katana behind my back pointing at the pilot as well Moxxie: "What's going on?" Blitz: "Now, don't worry! It's just some fancy shmuck from Greed wanting to do business with us" as I return my katana behind my back as it disappear Blitz, Moxxie, Millie, and me walk on the bridge toward the helicopter

Moxxie: "Uh, sir? I don't think this is a good idea" Blitz: "It'll be fine. Now, get your asses moving" me: "Sorry Master Blitz" apologizing for the delay while crossing the bridge to the helicopter he let's me in first being a gentlemen while he pushes Moxxie and Millie into the helicopter and as she tries to buckle herself in Millie notices her seatbelt is broken Millie: "Is this thing safe?" Pilot: "Don't worry, we are professionals!" as the pilot is getting ready I help me: "Here Millie I'll fix this" using my magic and gave Blitz, Moxxie, and Millie fixed seatbelts Millie: "Thanks Stacy" me: "No problem uh Master Blitz?" Blitz: "Yeah?" me: "Sorry I didn't use my magic sooner all your files and documents would've been safe then" Blitz: "It's ok you help shit happens" the pilots proceed to take out a huge chunk of a wall as they fly off later the same helicopter is seen flying out of a hanger in the Greed Ring as they fly over Loo Loo Land which is going under reconstruction along with other carnage as they fly over a sign reading "Welcome to Notamafia Town: No mafia here! We're Mafia-free!" Moxxie: (disdained groan) "I hate this place" Blitz: "Oh, yeah. This is your old stomping ground, isn't it, Mox?" me: "You mean this is your hometown Master Moxxie? where you were born and raise?" Moxxie: "Yeah, unfortunately. I grew up just over there (points through glass), swore I'd never come back, and— uh uh— what— what, where are we going?" the helicopter starts changing direction as Moxxie grows more and more anxious Moxxie: "What Blitz, who did you say this meeting was with?" Blitz: "I'm not sure, just some rich somebody or other who wants to do biz at his place" the helicopter finally lands and Moxxie grows heavily worried after realizing where he's landed Moxxie: "Oh, no, no! No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO!" I'm beginning to sense how nervous Moxxie is concerning of his feeling being returning to his home the place in question is revealed to be a huge emerald color mansion dark smoke fuming through both chimneys Moxxie shivers in fear of the place as Blitz shoves him to move forward I grab Moxxie saving him from falling then we all heard a voice from the front doors and I saw the imp in his mafia outfit
