Kitty: it was never official, if anything it was an ongoing bet to see how long it would last before people started to notice. We're more like.....siblings but not quite. Or emotional support ghosts for each other.
Spectra: that....actually makes a lot of sense. You two are hardly seen without the other and you haven't exactly been dead for long, so it would make sense you're still settling down from the trauma of dying.
Kitty: did you just psychoanalise me?!

My headcanon about Johnny 13 and Kitty
While I was typing up my ghost biology headcanon, I wound up generating headcanon about Johnny 13 and Kitty's relationship. Whoops.
Some ghosts exist split among multiple bodies because some parts of themselves work better separately. I imagine Johnny 13 and his Shadow are actually one ghost, but there were parts of himself he didn't understand and wasn't managing well that he was better equipped to understand and accommodate as a separate being. Johnny probably fought with Shadow a lot when he was newly formed before taking a step back and finally managing to view him with a sort of empathy that is often easier to offer to others than to oneself.
Part of the reason Johnny and Kitty fight as much as they do is because they don't understand each other's experiences very well and end up being inconsiderate to each other at times. Johnny is wrapped up in his own mental health journey and doesn't always recognize the effects his actions have on the people around him.
He's learning how to like, respect, support, and rely on the part of himself that became Shadow but doesn't always know how that will turn out. Sometimes the people close to him pay the price for his inexperience. A prime example of this is when Johnny used Shadow to hold the doors of the portal open and they shut on Kitty, seriously hurting her.
Kitty has never experienced mental health issues that necessitated a split and doesn't quite understand that Shadow is part of Johnny or what that means. She doesn't realize that when she says things like "I don't trust your stupid bad-luck shadow" she's saying "I don't trust your stupid, bad-luck self." She also doesn't know that Johnny is in the middle of a massive journey of recovery, so every backslide and rough patch in the healing process is coming out of nowhere for her. He never talked to her about this, so she just thinks he's being an asshole for no reason.
They need to talk things out, maybe get a professional opinion, and Kitty needs to make an informed decision about whether or not staying through the journey is something she's willing to do. Even if they do stay together, they need to establish some healthy boundaries. While Johnny does need to figure things out with Shadow, which is going to require some experimentation, it's not reasonable to ask Kitty to gamble her safety and well-being on every chance he takes.

Danny and Johnny 13 fic idea.
Too much stuff was going on around May 13th for me to write a new chapter for any of my fics, but I'd thought that maybe I could write a quick oneshot, instead. ...Except that I'd only managed to write some notes about what I'd wanted to happen in the fic. So maybe I'll write it next time.
The idea is almost a Freaky Friday type situation. Late at night, Danny and Johnny 13 are fighting in the city, when the courthouse clock starts tolling twelve. Johnny and Shadow get distracted by this, causing Shadow to accidentally pass through Danny instead of something next to him. Johnny calls Shadow back and they take off, seeming to be in a hurry to leave all of a sudden.
The next morning, Danny wakes up groggy and seems clumsier than usual. However, when he looks into the bathroom mirror... he sees nothing wrong, because, no, he hasn't switched bodies.
Just little things keep happening, like his backpack strap breaking, the milk going sour, stuff like that.
And, well, maybe Sam mentions it being Friday the 13th when he talks to his friends about his luck that morning. Like, maybe there's really something to that date, or maybe Danny's just subconsciously thinking too much about it.
But eventually Danny will realize that he can't seem to use most of his powers, and also realize that things tend to break when he touches them.
On the other hand, Johnny might be taking it easy, since his luck's always particularly rotten on Friday 13ths, ...but, well, Shadow being able to freeze things is new.

DPxDC Idea:
Okay so I've seen some posts about the idea that Johny was/is Jason's ghost when he was still dead before the pits fully revived him and all the shenanigans that could cause. Now that is interesting, but instead I raise you - Johny and Jason are serrated unrelated people, with a shared specter in common.
Because 13 is Jason's ghost.
The Lazarus pit clearly didn't bring everything back, and it filled in the gaps where something was missing with pit madness until he could regain his memories through word of mouth from his friends and family, but that doesn't really help that there is still a part of him that is just. Gone.
Robin is dead.
In both the living and the infinite, he is no longer the same, when he died he was gone for good.
In the living world he became Red Hood, but in the ghost zone? He's 13.
Literally, he's 13 forever now, that's how old he was when he died, and he does not want to grow up or change.
It's why he's a shadow, it's why he's so mischievous and it's why he attached himself to the first cool ghost he could find and made himself a sidekick again.
He wasn't Robin anymore, couldn't be, but he was still everything that Robin is.
So!
13 is tagging along with Johny as usual to cause chaos, in a new city to boot to avoid Phantom.
Or, well, Johny says its new, but as they get there 13 realizes exactly where he is.
And he wants to leave, needs them to leave because he can't be here, not again!
But then he feels a pull.
And he runs off into crime alley, forcing Johny to follow.
Johny doesn't want the little guy to get into trouble without him in a city he knows nothing about.
So Jaosn and Johny meet, they figure out just what 13 is and who he was and.
So what do you call a reverse custody battle? Because yeah that's kinda what happens.
Jason is scared to even acknowledge this part of him even still exists in any capacity, let alone reconnect with it in some fucked up adoptive father son relationship, he refuses to follow in B's footsteps.
Johny argues he's more akin to 13's bio dad in this situation if anything, and that as the adoptive dad who steeped tf up when his shade needed him, he's not too thrilled about 13 wanting to spend time away from home to get to know the new Jason either, but he also knew how much he needed it (and not that he cared or whatever but Jason likely needed it too) and he wants gonna keep his little buddy from his counterpart.
They argue like this back and forth until Johnny says he'll just have to stay in Gotham for a while and Jason had better come visit his son or Johny is personally gonna kick his ass.
They deal with their fears and insecurities together, Johny learns to let go and allow 13 to be his own lil guy, Jason gets to reparent himself and heal emotionally and spiritually, as in, literally heal his spirit, and 13 gets two cool dads and a new sense of identity, although he very much still prefers his shadow form.
Also Jason/Johny/Kitty polycule because I think that'd be cool.

OK but what if Danny's obsession (or main one if your into multiple obsessions) isn't protection or space or helping or anything like that, what if his is just wanting to Stay. Like, he was with his friends and maybe in his last moments of being torn apart by the portal he was just drenched with electricity and the desire to Stay with his friends, Jazz, to stay Alive? So like, what if he's not actually a halfa–that's simply how his core expresses it's need to Stay.
"Oh but then why can he change forms?"
That's a good question, I've got two very much straw-grabber options:
1) Phantom's core Knows he's not Human and Knows that Danny wouldn't be able to Stay if he was always looking like a ghost but it also can't always be "human" either
2) Another out-there possibility could be that he's more like Johnny 13's shadow, like how Shadow is by all means Unlucky but still has the ability to literally hide in/become a shadow bc (maybe hc, I've only watched the first 2 seasons bc my means of watching Danny Phantom broke on me) Shadow is always following someone and the easiest way to do that is to Be their shadow. Therefore, the easiest way to Stay is to be "human"
Basically in the first option it's a defense mechanism, and in the second it's for simplicity

This was another request from the DA member who wanted to see Danny as a Green Lantern. The details of this request are as follows..."An image of an black being, with Danny's shape but with rippling edges like Johnny 13's Shadow or one of the clones from "Kindred Spirits", with a ghostly aura, the DP symbol on it's chest, and a thin scar-like mark over its right eye (from OUR perspective), which is like one of Dan's eyes, the other being the same green as Danny's eyes. It should also have vampiric fangs, an angry expression, and maybe ecto-energy charging around its fists." This is my interpretation of said request. To this day, I'm not 100% certain if this is EXACTLY what he wanted, but I hope he liked it, regardless. I hope you like it, too. ^_^

In early 2020, @mystery-moose decided my cinematic education could no longer be allowed to persist with such egregious holes. He and I and @eponymous-rose and @silksieve and @fistfulofgammarays started a discord server to watch movies every Saturday night, and shortly after came @probablylostrightnow and @servantofclio and @jadesabre301 and @annalyia and @bettydice, and suddenly we had something like bottled lightning held in a jar in our hands.
It couldn't have come at a better time--the pandemic struck about a month later--and what started as a way to expand my our horizons has become a precious thing. We've watched movies together, celebrated birthdays together, and we've traveled together too, to Colorado and Chicago and the Grand Canyon and a half-dozen other little gatherings across the entire country.
It's not an easy thing for a bunch of 30-40+'s to get together every week. But we make the time, rain or shine, only missing one single week where all but one of us were traveling, and the joy it's brought me (along with the knowledge of the greatest movie of all time, Kung Fu Hustle) is comparable to nothing else. Today is our slightly delayed three-year anniversary celebration.

NOBODY ASKED FOR IT, BUT I DID IT ANYWAYS! Buahahahahaha!!
This was mostly for angst reasons but to also correlate the relationship between Jason and Shadow. As the memory holder, shadow was basically keeping the major part of his soul know what had happened to him so he could experience happiness in the zone.
Of course someone thought it would be funny to revive him, Shadow still technically existing. However somewhat like the Lazarus water, Shadow will eventually be absorbed completely by Jason's core, which will be around the time Jason first transforms and accepts the realization that his situation is as permanent as it is for Danny.

Idea: you know all those fics where the lazarus pit is considered it's own sapient thing? Like sometimes it tries to adopt Danny, sometimes it can talk, sometimes it becomes a blob ghost when it's removed?
What if Johnny died because he was kidnapped literally off the street by an assassin cult and became a failed test subject, his soul forever bound and partly merged with the thing that killed him?
What if as Jason recovers from the pit rage it becomes his shadow?
Oh that is truly such a neat idea. What does the pit shadow look like? Cause Jonny 13’s shadow doesn’t truly look like his shadow, does Jason’s look even more uncanny valley?

Johnny 13 & Kitty Redesign Discussion🏍️🍀
I LOVE their OG looks, I like how more grounded and human like they are, especially in fashion. Many people theorize they died in the 80-90’s so I went for fashion more akin to that time. I was def going for 80’s punk rock and grunge with Johnny and a cute 80’s party gal vibe mixed with a little punk/goth for Kitty. Johnny’s looking for trouble while Kitty just wants a nice time. Ngl I also wanted to give off zombie/ghoul like vibes as well, with how human they look.

I ramped up the punk and grungecore for Johnny! Wanted to make him look more rough and tumble with a ghoulish charm.
Made his complexion more tannish.
With how Kitty’s name is Kitty, I wanted to give Johnny a wild dog vibe🐕 I def see Lady and The Tramp vibes with them.
Added a mini ponytail at the back for a little tail. Also made his hair messier.
Added more spikes in his accessories to make him look tougher.
Gave him a spiked choker, to give off a collar vibe for the dog theme.
Added black nail polish(Kitty does his nails).
Made his back teeth sharper, to feel like sharp dog teeth.
With how Kittys associated with green, I wanted to associate him more with red, to show them wearing each others colors❤️💚
Put an anarchy symbol on his shirt.
OG Color Scheme- Gray, orange, green, gold, black, white and gray.
My color scheme- grayish brown, spring green, darker green, greenish tint for his jacket, orange, brown gray, black, white, red and grayish red.
Made his black pants plaid green with red accents. Also added rips into them.
Added a lot more rips and tears in his design.
Added some stains on his jacket. Show it’s been through a lot.
Gave him more scars and marks. Many people headcanon they died in a motorcycle accident and I wanted to give off the idea of Johnny getting the most damage(probably tried to shield her from most of it but unfortunately failed to save her anyway). I also wanted to make his nose look broken and even has a missing tooth.
Gave him dark circles under his eyes like Kitty.
Gave his jacket a greenish gray tint.
Ngl I was going for Murdoc vibes from Gorillaz.
Added pins on his jacket. A skull and #13.
Made his stubble the same color as his hair.
Made his greens more yellowish, spring green. Clovers come out in the spring!
Made his boots more detailed and added socks. Some exposed leg skin.
Removed his pupils👁️
Changed Johnny’s ring to a simple silver ring with an engraved K. K for Kitty. It’s identical to Kitty’s who wears his first initial.
Made his shadow more dog/wolf shaped and made his eyes red. Also made his teeth less vampire like and added a smoke like aura. There’s bound to be smoke in a motorcycle accident…

A huge change was that I wanted to give Kitty a more good luck theme, in opposite to Johnnys bad luck. Because if her color scheme, I went for the traditional four leaf clover. I changed her necklace to be clover designed🍀🍀🍀
Changed her body type and made her more plus-sized. Ngl @letswonderspirit take on Kitty def left a mark on me, I really liked the body change! seriously their Johnny + Kitty content is AMAZING!!!!!.
a lot of people see Kitty as Black because of hair resembling dreadlocks so I went with that as well, hence why I made her nose broader and lips fuller👩🏾🦱
Made her skin a more vibrant green💚
Made her eyes bigger and changed her lashes to feel a bit more kitty like. Also added a little upside down heart bump on her top lip like a kitty mouth😺🐈⬛
Made her hair shorter.
Added more details unto her jacket
Replaced her black ripped top and red skirt for a black dress with a purple belt.
Made her leggins more gray and added some rips and tears. For the punk look…and being in an accident there’s bound to be some tears.
Added a red sheen on her boots, feel more leather like. Wanted to go for KITTEN heels.
Gave her shine to her purple eyeshadow.
added pins, a kitty and a heart. Cute pins to contrast with Johnny’s tough punk ones.
Switched her black wrap bracelet with a hoop and beaded bracelets.
Gave her fingerless gloves. CAUSE 80′s!!!!!!!!!!!!
Removed the scarf.
Made her purples darker to contrast from the reds more💜
Made her eyebrows the same color as her hair.
Changed her purple lipstick to black and red.
Changed her green pendant into clover shaped🍀 wanted to make it feel like a cute lil kitty collar.
Gave her red lipstick and nail polish. A Kitty showing off her claws.
Added purple hoop earrings, peaking from her hair.
Changed her gold bracelet with green gem to a silver ring with a J engraved into it, J for Johnny💖 I headcanon he made them himself from metalshop or something.

Rejected ideas for what I am writing -
Used idea( super and fun are back)
Rejected- Danny's human half has a void where phantom used to be and one of Danny's rouges accidentally fill it.
- I was considering having phantom trying to save his human half who was fused with a ghost.
1. Skulker and Danny fusion would be obsessed with weapons and hunting.(rejected)
2. Technus and Danny fusion would have teletechkinesis , tech telekinesis, try to take over the world, megamind like(rejected but in a maybe later idea)
3. Many different Danny ghost fusions(ember, box, lunch, walker, johnny 13, shadow, Poindexter, etc)
I even rejected the idea human Danny knowingly teaming up with them, Steven universe style,for lack of better term.
Just too out of my range at the moment.
More rejected stuff-
Thought of what would happen if phantom had to fuse with plasmius, only to think 🤔 what if Dani phantom offered to fuse with phantom (to balance out plasmius 's evil and top everything into a more balanced state)
I considered having Dani as unstable and very lucky to have lived as long as she did.
This a reason to fuse with phantom,who due to only being literal half ghost needs something to keep him stable himself.
A reason why he would need to fuse with plasmius (probably to fight pirah dark again,only without the Fenton exosuit)
Got way to complex for me basically ,I wasn't confident I could make it believable and enjoyable to read.
