just saw more so of a critique against andor is that it would’ve been better if the season was released all in a day but like...... why? we have 12 episodes. in these 12 episodes, nothing’s rushed because it’s supposed to make you see the tensions and conflict arise but also make you feel it. a good example is the aldhani heist. yes, it was 3 episodes but like being there and watching it realtime helped build that anxiety. in episode 5 when you’re wondering what’s to come and you’re nervous for the team and you have to wait *gasp* a whole week! if i were to watch andor in a day, i would be nervous but it wouldn’t have been as strong since i would know the outcome in one hour, not one week. and it probably would’ve been forgotten easily. it’s basic psychology we remember moments that we have more of an emotional connection with. i remember the nerves i felt after episode 5 and seeing episode 6 and not knowing what was to happen after that heist just made my viewing experience that much better. idk why people are so insistent on having it released all at once when i love waiting and i love the nervousness before an episode and the week waiting period combined with the writing makes for the perfect build up. (also it’s so clear this format of streaming television where all the episodes in a season get released in a day has rotted your brains lmao)

 there were way too many metaphors to be mentioned about this . a lamb offering the wolf security , a man with his head inside a lion's mouth and whispering he'll protect the lion while his neck bleeds . xue yang can't settle for any , he chooses to create something worse than a hostile lion in his head and simply , call it xue yang . he wants to laugh at xingchen until his lungs ache , wants to break his pretty jaw , and all he can do it sit behind the campfire and stare at xingchen's sickly sweet smile like he's been punched in the gut .

 it seems to him , the pale cultivator had found the strategy with which he could defeat something terrible like a lion . he seems to have come to conclusion that tenderness was a greater weapon than his sword , and it was — it leaves xue yang speechless .
