Jimin used to be so confident and chic, but now he’s the opposite.

It’s crazy to look at his kitty gang videos to see how nice he was dressed and how confident. He was simply cool. Now at dior he looks lost and uncomfortable. I know this is a new medium and he is doing it by himself for the first time, but I can’t help but think that it’s a downgrade from how he used to present himself.

I know what you mean, but I don't think he's not confident anymore. He still believes in himself so much. I agree overall with what you're trying to say, just that I think the examples you used are not good examples.

Fashion changes and trends change. He used to wear skinny jeans, now he doesn't. Okay. After the pandemic, if you go back and look at BTS at aiports, none of them were trying to look good. Like, in general all of them "downgraded" their style and when they were able to travel again, they all wore very casual clothes in comparison to what they used to wear before quarantine. I don't really care for the skinny jeans but I do wish Jimin would stop wearing a beanie everytime. He has to wear a mask, I get it, but that already covers up all of his face and the beanie covers it even more.

As for kitty gang, that was concert Jimin. I felt like he had a similar energy in the Vegas concerts, but that would be the only time in the recent years.

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it before, but the way he was in his 2021 birthday live was sooo him. Same for every live that came after, but that bday live was one of the first times I remember thinking that was the real Jimin. I always remember what he said in festa 2019, that BTS Jimin was bolder and more confident than the real Park Jimin, that regular Park Jimin was shy and indecisive. He said something along those lines in some of his interviews in 2020 and 2021, too; that he's introspective and introverted.

For me, we've been seeing the real Park Jimin since 2020. None of us can say how that change came to be because we don't know all the details, but I do know that as we grow older our energy naturally subsides, at least for the majority of adults. We're less excitable, less outgoing, we think more, and thinking changes people. I also remember that Jimin said he wasn't okay for like a year after the pandemic, and I think that anyone who pays attention to him noticed that he didn't seem particularly happy or joyful. Not being okay for a long period of time also changes you.

So, yeah. It's true that his energy is not the same. I won't lie and sometimes I do miss the Jimin you're talking about, and I have moments of YOU COULD OWN THE WORLD JIMINNNN ACT LIKE IT!!! Admittedly we're all kind of addicted to this attitude

I believe he could bring it out again, he just needs the perfect situation.

I also really love this Jimin right now anyways because in the end he's always been this humble, soft-spoken, playful, sweet, hardworking and loving person. He's never had any ego at all. We've just been seeing more of it, more of the guy in tracksuits who hangs out with friends at food trucks on the streets.

I agree, some of the fans were a bit... too much. I get they want to see them up close, take photos and all but that was overboard. Fans need to realise these artists are human beings like you and I, they pee the same colour you know lol. It's simple respect. Hope it'll be better-ish in the future. I honestly don't know how general people in the spotlight deal with the 'fame' part -gives me anxiety D:

You’re right anon, they are just humans like us. Just because they are in the middle of the spotlight they didn’t turn into gods or aliens - the only thing whis is different from them and from me or you or other fans etc; that their faces is well known and people know many details of their life. While ordinary people can still hide the truth even on social media, they can’t since there are sasaengs, paparazzi etc in their heels for 24 hours.

Honestly what makes me really sad in this case is that although 50% kept their coolness the other 50% went crazy just the sight of them while most of them were crying (on twitter/tumblr etc) about how sorry they felt for Yoongi who admitted how scared he is of the crowd in burn the stage. -> very hyporcitial behavior in my opinion but whatever…..

Like we all know now that Yoongi hides himself at the airport and the other members too from time to time because they’re scared, we also know that many idols/ and our boys wear earphones to block the “crowd” - although most of the times they dont even listen to music, they just want to be unapproachable because they are overwhelmed. Also, there were many accidents in the past when Jimin fell, when a crazy girl almost tear Jungkook’s shirt and “hang on him” or when they were surrounded tightly and they had to be saved or use the back to escape.

Unfortunately I’m not this hopeful as you’re…this won’t be better-ish…this will be worse. The boys are getting more and more popular not just outside of their country but in Korea too! And bigger fandom means bigger variety of personalities and people…and the idol culture in Korea is no joke, younger (14-15); sasaeng or immature fans can cause so much harm there. I’m not sure how much you know all about them or this idol culture but with increasing fame their number increases and they are terrifying and limiteless, they are unperdictable and you can find them everywhere…at the aiport, around their home, or outside of the coffe shop where they just hang out with their friends. We can just only hope that the mature part will be able to somehow blunt their actions - knowing how this work, i dont think we will be able to control them comepletely.

I can’t imagine either O.O …I always thought that being in the spotlight might be lonely and scary….whenever I think about the post-stress which I have after a concert I think about how the artist might feel…like from 100 you go 10 and you’re just like in this dazed state….. also, knowing that people watch all of your moves is frightening, because just like how both of us mentioned, after all we’re all humans. We make mistakes but while we can hide when we meet new people, or leave it at the past - celebrities, famouse people can’t. People will always throw their past into their faces and questions them for their acts even 5 or 6 years later. Also knowing how fragile is my heart I would probably break under the pressure lmao….this is a hard job,but hopefully our boys get mental help next to physical one too so they can be happy and face with all these side effects which came with fame.
