Tumblr anniversary
It's been TWO years since I chose to take up residence here on this hellsite/app.
Last year, when I posted about my Tumblr anniversary, Jungkook had just dropped his thirst trap birthday greeting to Jimin. And Yet to Come Busan had not happened yet. No one was enlisted yet. We had no idea that we were about to have our hearts ripped out by Jin's enlistment announcement.
My, what innocent babes we were.
So much has happened since last October other than the afore mentioned Yet to Come Busan concert and Jin's enlistment announcement.
We watched the members emotional sendoff to Jin in December. We watched them do it again for Hobi in April. We didn't see but we know Yoongi has begun his service. We don't need to see it. We are pretty certain within the next two months we will be sending another 2 or 3 or maybe even the rest of them off to do theirs as well.
We got The Astronaut, Dreamers, Indigo, a Christmas song from Tae, Vibe, Face, D-Day (and a tour and I saw Yoongi!!), Angel Pt. 1 & 2, The Planet, another version of Jack-in-the-Box, Take Two, Seven, Layover, 3D and we anxiously anticipate Golden. What am I missing? More collabs that Namjoon did with others. We got so much music I can't remember it all.
We've seen the clothing come off of every member. Some more than others. But still. Chapter Two is not about taking their shirts off, as Tae said...yeah, whatever Tae... it is about transitioning to a more mature image including taking control of their professional and personal images, their bodies, their autonomy, their maturity and sexuality. And boy howdy...
We got a very complex and far-reaching BTS 10th Anniversary Festa celebration that took place across the world.
We got Kook Cooks, Flying Yoga, Wootteo, Suchwita, Namjoon on Big Brains and Many of them Sitting at the Same Table Talking (or whatever the name of that show was), Dior Jimin, Tiffany Jimin, Calvin Klein Jungkook, Valentino and NBA Yoongi, Louis Vuitton Hobi, Bottega Veneta Namjoon, Cartier and Celine Taehyung, dance challenges.
We inadvertently got Jungkook's TikTok through his own error and now we are pretty sure the other members INCLUDING JIMIN are lurking on all the soc med platforms.
We got so much Jungkook being himself. And we watched him go from being fine with his couch potato cushion existence to being Mr. World Traveler who can't stay in one place for more than a few days before he's off again to who knows where and adding to Jimin's list of things to fret over.
We got a nice quantity of sweet quality interaction of Jimin and Tae just yesterday. This healed me.
We have heard over and over how each member is anxiously excited to get back and hurry up and show us they still have it.
There has not been any lack of things to talk about. There has not been any lack of controversy. We've seen things we probably weren't meant to see and we've seen things that are dubious as to their authenticity and things that were obviously made for us to see.
Like one of those of flying bird flock murmurations, the fandom is shifting and changing, spreading out and coalescing and doing all this repeatedly as we navigate this period of time before they get back together in 2025.
I hope we don't run off the rails this next year and that we all can find some common ground so we can stand together at the threshold of 2025 in anticipation of their comeback.
And sooooo many more of you have chosen to follow my weird ramblings, rantings and odd posts. Thank you for taking time to give my blog any consideration.

2023 was the year of the debut of Soloist Jimin of BTS, Soloist Jung Kook of BTS.
It was also the continuation of Jikook being Jikook, in ways we’ve never seen before.
When thriving busy solo schedules meant that we may not have had much in the way of bangtan bombs, memories dvd content, bangtan episodes, a Jikook live 🥲 etc.
Regardless Jikook still jikooked and added on to the years and years of moments that we have been able to catch glimpses of.

I'm Stepping Away For A While...
Over the past week, and then some, I have been called a multitude of names in an effort to make fun of me and rude names including wh*re, p**sy, bitch, a liar, a fake, etc. I've been told I'm a fake/bad ARMY, a fake jikooker, etc. Ive had people call my friends deragatory names and misgender them. And I've also had someone in my DMs try to gaslight me into believing that this was not harassment or Bullying, but that I should apologize to my followers for threatening to block people and that people were just expressing strongly worded commentary over how my actions hurt them. And that I needed to take responsibility for creating the drama at all. And none of that is okay, and honestly it's been a lot. And the way people just brushed over the name calling and harassment regardless of if they disagreed with me or liked me, that was a lot too.
Blocking people to curate my space is not harassment or bullying or disrespectful. Its simply protecting myself and trying to curate a safe space for me personally. Nor have I ever started a hate campaign to try and drive another blogger off the platform. And if a post of mine encouraged people to send messages or hurtful asks to someone else, and I KNEW about it, I would've said something and asked them to stop. Sharing an opinion or disagreeing with someone is not me sending anyone hate. Nor would I ever want that for anyone regardless of any disagreements we had over whatever topic.
I've lost quite a few followers over the past week, people believing things that are being said and that's fine, i was never here for the numbers anyway. Id rather you unfollow or block me peacefully if you dont like me or my posts. Some of the people engaging with this hate against me were honestly surprising. But it is what it is. But I don't feel safe in this space anymore. I honestly haven't for a while. Blogging isn't as fun anymore. I don't want to post while it feels like a chore. And that's not because of anyone or anything in particular. I opened this blog because it brought me joy and it was fun. And it's really sad that something that brought me happiness is no longer doing that for me. It's not just all this drama either. It's probably been awhile coming, making my timeline posts for longer posts felt more like something I had to do for you all instead of something I wanted to do for me. And that's not what I want for this space.
So I'll be stepping away for awhile. When or if I come back will depend on if I can get that joy back for doing this and I feel like this can be a fun corner of the internet for all of us together again. And also for if I feel like I can do this without it being so mentally draining and just not good for my mental health like it has been lately.
I'll leave my blog here and my masterlist because I know that a lot of people enjoy the archive of some past content I have cataloged there. I don't want to take that away from anyone for that reason alone since I want people to be able to access that content if they can't otherwise find it. I also want the option to be able to come back to this blog again at some point. So I don't want to delete it or say I'm stepping away permanently, nor do I want people wondering what happened to me or anything. I just need a break. I do apologize for all the post series I have started that are remaining unfinished now for a little while.
If you want to unfollow me knowing that I'll be absent from here for awhile or for any other reason, that's totally fine. Honest. No hard feelings. I wish you well and hope everyone will continue to do well and enjoy the next few months of music, content and love from the members. Maybe I'll try to be back in time for JJK1 whenever that happens.
Again, this is just something I need. I'm okay, I'm not hurt or upset. I just need a break. I appreciate you all understanding. I'll still be in this fandom and be ARMY for life. I'll still be around for the next day or so. Thank you for understanding. I do love you guys and hope to back as soon as I'm able to.

Does the Maknae Line Fan the Ship Wars?
First and foremost I believe that Jimin and Jungkook are partners. I support their relationship and believe they got together in 2015 and committed in 2017.
But, I do question the shipping aspect of the maknae line and how all three maknaes seem to play into it.
What i really hate is how Jimin is the one to get dragged the most because of shipping. He is obviously close to JK regardless of the type of relationship they have (boyfriends or best friends) and friends with Tae.
I think JK and JM have been loud over the years but toned it down in 2022/2023 for one or more reasons, but one main reason being they knew they were going to enlist together and had to make people/government see them as friends/colleagues and not boyfriends.
Although we had some great jikook moments last year, there were also taekook moments. Were any of these moments intentional by any of the three or all three members for specific reasons?
What do you all think of these?
As stated above I think a major reason that JK participated in shipping moments with JM and Tae was to try and dispel the belief he and JM were romantically involved due to their upcoming enlistment. By all three playing the shipping games, there is plausible deniability of an intimate relationship with any one of the members.
The shipping moments seemed to get heavy around promotions, concerts or release of content. Goes back to the k-pop business model of supporting shipping because it makes money.
Although, Jk was loud about Jimin. He also had his moments with Tae. Jimin also had his moments with JK, Tae and Suga.
Then we have the events of this week with JK following a fan site that reposted a lot of Jikook content along with Taekook and BTS members. It seemed to be in response to the craziness after he liked both Tae and Jimin content on his TikTok page. Of course he unfollows and that creates another uproar of hate against Jimin.
Interesting enough, JK searches and views multiple shipping accounts under the names of Jikook, Minkook, vkook. There may be more, i got tired of searching…..lol
I honestly think the guys could care less about the fan hate. Their participation in fanservice/shipping/skinship is part of their marketing strategy. It also protects their real, personal relationships. The fan behavior and reaction is on the fan, not on the members. They have been trained to deal with fan behavior/reaction since 2011/2012. Yet, when one of the members crosses a boundary, JK seems to step up and address it in lives or songs.
In spite of them participating in the shipping games, JK and JM continue to show who they are to each other regardless of what the fans do or say. They proved this when they boldly went to Japan together, even when they were being threatened with death and antis reporting an alleged gay relationship to the military.
The ultimate show of their bond was the announcement of them enlisting as companions in the military. Spending 18 months together: training, working, living, sleeping, vacationing.

No, the real concern here is invasion of privacy. Also denial that jungkook is in a relationship now. There’s no need to speculate about his sexuality or blame homophobia because the only reason ya’ll want to keep the possibility of him being bisexual or homosexual is so that you can speculate him dating another member. You say all this about protecting him and respecting him and then continue hihi haha-ing over theories of him and jimin. Just accept that this whole “don’t be homophobic” thing is rooted to keeping the ship alive. I used to speculate jikook but will believe evidence above all else. Don’t overlook the fact that that video still confirms that he’s in a relationship even if it’s an invasion of privacy.
Funny how I didn't mention ships or jikook or anything related in that post but still, here you are. Or is it the fact that the one who said all that was a "jikooker" that negates everything I said?
It is about homophobia anon because those people, the ones who come to my blog, only come to say: JUNGKOOK IS STRAIGHT! JIKOOK IS NOT REAL. It's not about saying that Jungkook has a partner, regardless of their gender, for them the important thing is to say that the person is female therefore jungkook is not gay and ergo jikook is not real. Those who come to my blog come to "mock" the fact that we are wrong in what we supposedly believe because jungkook is not gay.
Your argument would be valid if many were saying "Oh, jungkook has a partner" but they are not, many are emphasizing that the person is a woman and are sending messages to blogs like mine with the intention of saying that 2+2 is 6 and therefore we are wrong.
I may believe X or Y things about Jimin and Jungkook but that doesn't mean I see absolutely everything through that lens, for you to say otherwise is hilarious and insulting.
It's funny and it says a lot about you how you sound sure that the guy in the video is jungkook and most likely you are sure of that because of the dog.

it was bittersweet to see the photos from Jimins dad, because that’s certainly a smile that doesn’t meet his eyes🥺 but reading his letter, I’m so glad that the buddy system became an option for Jimin and jungkook, because at least that makes the situation more bearable. Reading accounts of people who struggled whilst serving makes me wish everyone had this opportunity. Jikook will truly come out with a unique experience. And shows how secure they are in their friendship because they knew this wouldn’t put a strain on them (like it has with some other trainees in the past haha)
I agree, I don't want to assume too much from just pictures, but we can comfortably say that the military is not a place jimin would ever choose to be in and participate in if it was upto him (regardless of how much he's still excelling in there).
His letter did put across very clearly what a pillar of support and comfort jungkook has been for him. The buddy system being this highly selective programme that in a way discourages soldiers from taking it by stationing buddies on Frontlines and much harder bases is pretty masochistic to be honest (but I guess in the eyes of military men they think having a support system might make a soldier go soft and have it easier than other soldiers, completely ignoring how companionship is the cornerstone of human strength and survival but whatever). But yes, I wish the system wasn't so competitive, especially if they plan on continuing compulsory enlistment for the foreseeable future.
And you're right, they must really be secure in their relationship to be willing to spend so much time with one another. I don't think I have any friend I could name that I'd be willing to put my relationship to such a test with, but that just speaks on how deep their bond runs.

Unpopular Opinion on “Seven”
You have been warned….. skip now if you don’t want to read, I will block any hateful comments.
Nothing about this single I’m excited for. Maybe it’s burn out, maybe it’s the fact that I know Scooter Braun is heavily involved whom I cannot stand… Maybe it’s bitterness that this will get radio play… Maybe it’s me being annoyed with this massive push to get into the western market… Maybe it’s the heteronormativity…. Maybe it’s all of the above.
Regardless, one thing about me is that I LOVE music. If I’m being honest, I think my taste is somewhere between Namjoon (he shares artists on his stories all the time that I love) and your basic pop/rap music lover. I steam what I like. I listen to what I like. I thoroughly enjoy 95% of BTS’s discography both solo works and as a group. But I’m not going to feel pressured to like or stream something that isn’t for me. I’m a whole 30 years old. So, while I will continue to eagerly await JK’s solo album that he created, I’m probably going to pass on Seven.
So if you are feeling what I’m feeling too, it’s okay. I still love JK. I still love Jikook. I recognize that JK didn’t have autonomy with the MV and the song itself. So, I’m going to sit this one out. I’ll give it a good listen, although I have a feeling it’s not for me. I probably won’t watch the music video. But I hope those that are excited enjoy it. Don’t let me rain on your parade.

Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise that my taekook-focused twitter account got suspended. It’s getting too tiring to ship taekook now. I’m a hardcore taekooker since 2018, but now, I’m starting to wean off.
Whenever I convince myself that they’re not together, something would happen that would make me question their relationship, but now, I’ve been trying to detach myself from the whole idea of them being together and try to change my perspective about their interactions, and I realized that there’s probably nothing more that’s going on between them.
With all the taennie rumor, Jk’s interaction with Jennie, Jikook in NY, JK’s interviews and lives, Gyu and Jk’s relationship, Tae’s silence, it’s like if you’re going to see everything in a non-biased perspective, taekook are just two close friends. It’s undeniable that they’re the closest members regardless of what jikookers are claiming. Taekook are the closest, they just have to suck it up. What they have is special. They’re each other’s go-tos. We all have this kind of friendship, but it doesn’t mean there’s something romantic between them.
Before, when I read taekookers’ posts on twitter whenever taekook interact, I’m getting butterflies in my stomach, but now, whenever taekookers’ imply something more than there is, I just thought they’re being ridiculous. I’m beginning to understand the non-shippers whenever taekook or jikook interact. Jk also mentioned Jimin countless times during his live last night, although it would imply that they never really interacted the way taekook did, but still, they’re all just bandmates and friends. JK, after all, said that he’s aware of shipping (as per Variety interview), and that he loves that members can create great chemistry no matter which member they are with, and that their fans love each and all of their chemistry. Maybe it’s just that, having chemistry with another member.
I dunno what made me think that both taekook are in a relationship, but not with each other. Tae might really be with Jennie and JK might be dating also. He seemed to be getting laid often. I know I’m judging, but they’re in their prime, and they’re not that innocent.
I feel like any day now, both taekook’s relationship will be revealed. You can’t hide everything forever after all especially if you’re in the biggest band in the world where all eyes are on you.
Anyway, I will be here for Tae’s solo project. That’s what I’ve been looking forward to the most right now. I will support him with every resource that I have the same way I did with Jk’s Seven. After that though, I might slowly detach myself from the fandom until their reunion in 2025/2026.

I'm glad things are working out for you. Fandom can be hard, and being part of a shipping fandom is... quite something. I find a lot of comfort in knowing that my believe in Tae and JK's relationship has no effect on the state of their relationship. I am only a bystander in this situation. Whether I stay or go, their relationship wil stay the same. If I don't go online for a week.. they will still continue living their lives the same way. When things get overwhelming, I take a step back. I'm in the process of moving, and there will be moments that I'm not going to be able to be online much.. and that's fine; my own life always comes first. It nice to see that you have found some peace. I think the hardest part for some fans is to always try to find proof that their thought are correct. Every detail has to fit otherwise they get insecure, and that's never a nice feeling. Personally, I have no problem with not understanding everything. We just can't. I have a clear view of what I think goes on in my mind. Basically everything that happens fits into how I feel things would go, so I have little insecure thoughts.
I don't agree with your assesment of things, but I do understand why you would feel this way. And if you feel better on that side of fandom, then good for you.

Honestly? I think we should stop blaming members for the hate on this fandom. I don't think they should calculate every thing they gonna do, neither every pic they wanna post. I think tae should be able to post a fucking pic with his friend, on his ig, whenever he want. Tkkrs r beyond help, they don't even have a single thought on that brainless head anymore. Jimin gets hate for them everyday, with tkk moments or not. With jkk moments or not. He get hate for everything, because the cult hate him regardless of what happens. BTS r real people, they don't belong to us and they can do what they want, we can't control them. With all the truth in tkkrs face, they still think tkk r married and blablabla. Even if tae never posts a jk pic again, they gonna still believe in tkk, they will say that tkk r hidden by the company. Should tae stop doing what he wants forever, then? Should the members let those mfs control them forever?
Look, I really like u, but I think you should be more careful, because u r setting up jkkrs with those things u r saying about tae, even if its followed by "I really like tae, don't hear me wrong". I get it that it comes from you worrying about jm, but just be careful. I worry about jm so much, but we can keep saying rude things about other members, because then, we r not so different from the cult. I want to believe that jm is ok, that he doesnt get affected by all this bullshit anymore, and that he has his family, jk and members by his side.

But at the same time people are allowed to feel some type of way if they want to. I've not once shared an ask about anyone hating on V. Just people who are venting about what he's been up to. Which to me is okay. I delete anything that sounds anti. Even a little bit.
Anon, V can do what he wants. It just all seems very strategically placed is all. I think its okay to talk about it without shitting on the dude.
Like I've mentioned 20 times now, I will never have an issue with V as long as Jikook continue to have no issue with V. But I can side eye his behaviour. I feel like that should be allowed.

Well Well Well … - 2 : Let’s Watch A Clip!

[Music is a very big part of my life and I’m MOSTLY INCAPABLE of writing without music, so I just thought I'd share what I am listening to while writing this]

Hello Everyone! How’s life been treating you? If it’s been good, I’m hella happy for you! If it’s been shit, I’m up there with you 😬 but hey, we probably used to it, so we’ll be fine (#trust). Now, let’s take a little look at what’s been going on in ARMYworld as of recent (and no, I’ll not address enlistment here, but yes, I will in another post). So, it would appear that pics and videos from「LOVE YOURSELF, SPEAK YOURSELF: The Final」started dropping yesterday and guuurl/boooi/Eeenby… There’s been a little bit of drama aye?!
Mainly between the usual shakespearean factions (... just another way for me to say: DRAMATIC AF GROUPS, aka some group of shippers), which was brought about by one particular clip involving none other than our dearest JK: Surprise, sur-fucking-prise! I swear, the boy can’t take a single step in the general direction of nowhere coz, the second he does, some will measure the distance between his right foot and left and equate it to the distance between either JM or Tae’s right and left foot just to conclude that: [INSERT MOST RECENT CONSPIRACY].
Alas, Jeon Jungkook is a powerful Conspiracy Magnet, it's a sad truth. Now, whether or not he actually had an unknowing and unfortunate hand in this predicament, is a post for another time. What we want to do now is to take a look at the clip that caused so much SCANDAL! And take it from there, shall we?:

Now, before we proceed I’ll need you all to maybe not listen to the song that I am listening to right now, if it is not calming to you. Find a song that keeps you mellow and serene, and ready to observe facts in an educated and unbiased way. When you are all ready, we shall begin, alright?
So to spice things up a little, let’s refer to TKKers as Capulets and JKKers as Montagues, just to keep it in the Shakespearean vibe. As you might and/or might not know, I really hate generalising but, based on experience, the majority of Capulets can’t be reasoned with, like, it’s some crazy-ass-shit up in that neck of the woods, and granted there’s definitely some Montagues that are just as crazy, but the ratio is 9725:1.
Moving on, following are the families narratives, following the clip in question:
CAPULATES: “Everything Jikook does is scripted”.
MONTAGUES: “Staff knows Jungkook, so where is the lie?”.
For those that may not know, this whole thing escalated hella quick. I was at work, trying to work, while dealing with a personal situation of my own, after which I quickly looked at my timeline and HolyMolyGuacamole. I thought JK couldn’t create a post more controversial than the “Happy Birthday Bro” one but, Bro!, was I wrong!
Mind you, as per usual the involved Capulates came ready for senseless war, hence Montagues had the right to defend themselves from the dumbest of accusations, but what all of this seemed to cause was a very clear divide of two truths which could both be valid, but my people, we all know that the truth is and always will be one. In this case, the one truth is that JK managed to, unwillingly, put himself on the spot. Yeah ...
And before I continue, I must, and I will, preface that JK does, without a doubt, not only highly respects (amongst many other things) JM but loves Serendipity, immensely as proven by the following:

Now, try to recall a situation where something happened and regardless of whether the information you are receiving is true or not, you just want to know how this something came to be. If you are like me, and you just need to know, trusting that there is no way in hell your words will be misconstrued, you will ask whatever question. But then, at times, this funny thing happen where, once you’ve spoken you realise that is not just about your curiosity, it’s about everything else related to it, but it’s too late, you’ve spoken up, your words are out in the world and you are on the fucking spot. And many may not know or realise this but, being put on the spot is a flight or fight response.
It is almost spooky weird how sometimes words suddenly seem to change in meaning from how you thought them in your brain after you’ve uttered them [typed them]. Funny ain’t it? Had the meaning of his words not changed, JK (like anyone else) would have stayed silent, waiting for the member of staff to answer his question, as he sat firmly by his own words. But that was definitely not the case. And I’m not sure of the meaning that his sentence morphed into, but JK didn’t stay quiet waiting for a reply from their staff member. No. In fact, he laughed over her words and started poking JM, who actually brought up his finger to do their usual “I am you, you are me” but JK didn’t notice, and he wasn’t going to because I don’t think that was his intent to begin with. His poking, like the laughing, all felt like a reaction to divert attention from what he’d just asked.
Now we can sit here and argue on whether or not it was wrong for the member of staff to have filled in the blanks for JK, homegurl was most likely just doing her job and trying to speed up the process by choosing an answer she believed to be 100% likely. Had she envisioned JK’s reaction, do you think she would have proceeded with it? She most likely even panicked, perceiving JK’s reaction as a misjudgment and let him know right-away that he could change it.
“It’s all about the delivery!” These are the words I was told by my brother, who's been trying to act as a peacemaker between my mother and I. If I controlled the manner in which I say what I want to say or even at times just refrain from saying certain things, I might bring forth less damage with my mom 😬(but that was very TMI so yeah let's not dwell too much on that…). But the truth is, once again, in my head they all sounded like things I have the right to say, but once they are out, it's like, … damn. And, in my opinion, it’s like JK also felt the same.
JK’s favourite song might have been Euphoria, which is not a stretch, we all know that homeboi loves that song in particular. But regardless of why he decided to still go ahead with Serendipity, he obviously made it known that he was going to, if not Jimin would not have been literally all up in his face asking him “which one did you like the best?”

What actually is the point in all of this is how he decided to reveal said selection. JM was all in his face? JK could have replied by singing and staying in his place. But no. He counter-attacked Jimin’s face-up and got closer himself, and you’ll notice JM taking steps back as JK keeps moving forward, while they maintain eye-contact. I mean …
Hence, If I were the person who had to write the scenario/script for this part of the concert, hoping for the best outcome, ideally, with a band like BTS, you’d have all members naturally interact with each other. Having JK just choose his own song wouldn’t have served for much interaction with anyone, so I’m guessing homegurl stopped and thought “who does he usually interact with? What song does he usually sing?” and she got her answer. And hey! I might be wrong, so please let me know another song by any of the other members of BTS which JK sang, and mimicked as often as Serendiptiy; … I’ll be waiting.

I call myself an observer, not a shipper since I have no idea what really goes on. I just silently observe Jikook. I find they have this big question mark hanging over them and that their behavior skirts the line of platonic/non platonic more then others and has consistently for years. That said, I find it funny Jikook are returning to Tokyo during the 6 year anniversary of GCF Tokyo, esp knowing how important anniversaries & numbers are to koreans. Which is not something Jikookers made up. Its very real. Koreans take it seriously. So my mind is kinda blown right now they did this. I'm trying not to read to much into it, but regardless, it's kind of a brave move, esp knowing what karmy is probably thinking right about now. Anyways. You do you Jikook.
All I’ll say is that if they’re there for something that isn’t work-related, I’ll eat a sock and amend my opinion on GCFT.
Though this is keeping in mind that I will continue to maintain a neutral stance on shipping as a whole, but I would definitely cave a bit if this trip is a private one between them.

There’s a rumored collab between Bigbang Taeyang and Jimin do you think it’s true BPp? I’ve never listened to Taeyang or Bb before so I’m curious what the sound will be like and iM sure to that it will be a big hit. I’m curious too about the fandom’s response to it. Why are some annoyed about it? Is it just because of Vip and the stuff they did to bts? Isnt taeyang the least problematic in the group?

I want to care about this collab but I don't. I'm very familiar with Taeyang's sound - he seems to think of himself as a Korean Chris Brown or Omarion - and a lot of k-pop stans love him, but it's not really my thing though I can tolerate it well enough. I have no idea if the rumour's true either. The first place I saw it on was on the site that also had Nayeon's track leaked earlier in the year. It's possible but we won't know until it's confirmed, so I didn't pay any attention to it then and I'm still not interested to look into it now.
As to the fandom's response, there's been bad blood with BB since I think the Gaon screen scandal. It's one of the more bizarre scandals for BTS I think, where due to a 'mistake' from Gaon's producers during the award show performance in 2017, YG's tour director claimed BTS plagiarized them and Taeyang's brother also claimed BTS plagiarized them. BigHit had to release a statement because the boys were getting dragged in the morning newspaper over an LED screen. I think for the first time and very recently, one of the Gaon directors apologized to ARMYs (timestamp: 10:57) about the incident.

Some k-pop stans including VIPs also tried to rope BTS into the Burning Sun scandal in 2019, and more recently there's been flare ups between the fandoms because both BigBang and RM have songs titled Still Life. Yes you read that right. That was enough to start a fanwar, but again, fanwars where ARMYs are involved are cumulative and compounded on unresolved gripes with the offending fandoms that just continue building on previous issues.

I hope Taeyang has evolved beyond his typical sound for this collab with Jimin if it's happening. This is the sort of collab k-pop stans will eat up since it's with a popular Big3 idol, so I have no doubt it will perform well with the wider space and of course at the end of the day, most ARMYs will still support Jimin's track regardless of how they feel about Taeyang, so I have little doubt the song will be well received.

The fact that no big fandom accounts, even jikookers (who always preaches how they love jimin but in truth is ☠️) are talking about jimin's fans sending trucks in 3 locations in seoul. it seems they mastered the thing called controlling the narrative and the theory that they are on hybe's payroll seems getting more plausible now.
not talking about it means less visibility for other people who maybe interested in what those demands states. i even saw a post in X about their account getting banned in weverse for posting about it - though no evidence yet. but if there is a possibility of that happening, then there maybe an internal conflict between jimin and hybe that we have no knowledge about. it makes it all the more sinister in my eyes.
I’ve seen armys talk about it. Big karmy accounts too, but it’s more of the “this is embarrassing.” than anything else. I absolutely agree that armys are intentionally gaslighting jimin stans on how’s he treated and perceive by both the fandom and hybe because if they were to admit that the status of both is below poor it’d put to much light on what’s been going on. Now are these big army accounts getting paid to directly suppress jimin though? I don’t think so. And whether them intentionally suppressing him is hybe sanctioned? I don’t really believe so either. Wouldn’t be surprised if it came out one day that they were though. But honestly the fandom just really mirrors hybe’s own goals and jiminless- vision at the end of the day.
On the outside, we can see that hybe has an issue with jimin. That much is very clear. And like you said we don’t know what’s really going on behind the scenes with that. All I know is that jimin’s intelligent, working through it regardless and I hope he continues to thrive in spite of all of it.

Basically, did RM make up the phrase "i am you, you are me" (or vice versa) and the first time we ever heard the phrase was in Serendipity? No. Lol it in fact has orgins in kpop previous to Serendipity in the song by Zico, "I am You, You are Me."

"I am You. You are Me" is also actually an ancient Mayan phrase, Essentially meaning "I am another yourself." It's basically used to describe being so similar to another person, it brings your connection closer and their is an ease of interaction and closeness there. For Mayans it was used as a way of honoring each other, as a statement of unity and oneness. It is not necessarily romantic in nature as a phrase. But both Zico and Jimin made it a very romantic connotation in their songs.
Anyway, back to Zico... he released this song in January of 2016. And "I am you, you are me" is literally the title. Lol so Serendipity does not have first claim to the phrase in kpop at all either. We also know that BTS has been on friendly terms with Block B (Zicos group) and that they worked together for MAMA back in 2014 too.

During his MV, Zico basically matches by accident with this girl over and over again and says they are therefore destiny. One of the ways they match is through both ending up wearing bandaids on their fingers, the same finger.
A few months later, at a fansign on 160402, Jikook were sitting next to each other and fans noticed they were wearing matching bandaids on the same hand. When a fan first noticed it on Jimin and asked about it, he said JK gave it to him. When a fan asked JK about it, he said he wasn't hurt and was just wearing it just because. Lol, it's a mystery. Why did JK decide to give a matching bandaid to Jimin? Why did Jimin just go along with it? (I know this one actually because his precious maknae gave him something, and Jimin has been whipped from the get-go. Lol) is it related to the MV and their first moment of acknowledging (or at least JKs first moment, I would fully believe Jimin just wore it because JK gave it to him, no questions asked lmfao) you are me, I am you? Who knows. Or maybe it was just coincidence of timing and still JK being flirty in his own goofball odd way that no one but himself probably understood. Lol but regardless, there is that connection there. Maybe intentional, maybe not. We will never know.
Neither were hurt. So just a random little matching moment with cutesy bandaids courtesy of Jungkook. Just because. 😂 (also catch them in that black and white fit. For them to later on in the years get dubbed the black and white couple as a nickname lol).
ANYWAYS back to Serendipity, after it released and became the icon queen she is. Jikook fully adopted that song as their own and the first moment of them verbally going "I am you. You are me" happened in a run bts episode....
And has since therefore continued consistently over the years with them. They sing it from Serendipity to each other too, not just saying the phrase. That is THEIR SONG. Which is an inherently romantic song, and therefore gives the phrase that romantic connotation in the way that they are using it. In my opinion.
So were jikook using it before Serendipity, depends on what you think of the whole bandaid incident. Lol but not really. Were the rest of BTS saying it pre-Serendipity? Not really that we know of either. And while they may say it now, they say it differently then jikook do, who have made it a whole little thing with finger touches that they do silently to basically say it no verbally to each other or they sing the lyric to each other. Either way, making it fairly romantic lol but only after Serendipity was released. 🤷🏻♀️
So, your own thoughts will have to be formed about all of that and if there is any connection there on your own. Lol hope that helps though!

if you sent me an ask responding to a discussion happening on a different blog – i've said my piece there and i don't really feel the need to elaborate my position further. going to answer a couple bits under the cut and that's going to be it from me.
like i said, i saw plenty of jokes involving non-jimin members on twitter in the direct aftermath of namjoon's wlive (and before hobi's birthday live). i'm not on tiktok but i believe you when you say that jihope videos are flooded with comments jokingly linking jimin to namjoon's hickey and calling him crossfit. knowing armys they've probably run the joke into the ground by now; but sometimes a joke is just a joke and it can get old and annoying and unfunny quickly but it's still just a joke. as in, not harmful. *and* this is one of those cases where i think it could have been any member – were it any other member who'd given hobi a kiss on the neck *right after* a fandom-wide frenzy about namjoon's hickey blunder then those jokes would have happened regardless. you really underestimate the amount of ot7-are-all-in-a-gay-polycule armys there are lol. i am in fact going to go out on a limb and make the prediction now that next time we see a member's face in close proximity to another member's neck there will be a viral tweet kekeing about crossfit all over again. it will be funny for approximately five minutes and then it will get old but it won't be "problematic".
i mean, sure! i don't know the guy nor do i know his friends, within and outside bts. i'm sure all his friendships look different. but what i was arguing was: a) jimin IS a really affectionate person who sometimes likes to engage in playful flirtatiousness and *physical* affection with his close friends; antis calling him names because of it doesn't deny this basic fact, b) it is actually fine and fun to make good-natured jokes about it as fans, c) the traits i described in point a and the jokes i've mentioned in point b do *not* in any way imply promiscuity, which is what a lot of jimin fans are concerned about when it comes to protecting his image. again, that is anti talk that has no basis in reality. (not that there's anything wrong with being promiscuous but that's a whole nother conversation.) i don't know and to be frank i don't care if he does actually kiss or bite his friends platonically or not at all or maybe a select few and in that case which ones. but you also don't need all that info to make a jokey joke!

i am well aware that taekookers & other antis have been spreading an offensive, 2d caricature image of him, & have been pretty much undeterred in doing so for years. i just fundamentally disagree with the notion that we should extend blame by association to fans who are just being fans and making harmless jokes. (keyword: harmless — there is a lot of racist and orientalist “humour” in the fandom and this isn’t about that.) taekookers made up an entire revolting scenario out of thin air just by looking at a picture of jimin standing next to bang pd; they are crazy and vile and will continue to be crazy and vile regardless of what the fandom’s inside joke of the day is.
i think jimin fans (whether solos or biases, and in this specific case jikookers too) can be hyper-vigilant & paranoid when it comes to this stuff sometimes, and while i understand the history, & sometimes feel this impulse myself, ultimately it just ends up escalating conflict for no reason. i think being in a "bubble" (be that pjms or jikookers, or what have you) can sometimes give you a very skewed idea of what the fandom actually looks like, because even the most minuscule, insignificant thing gets magnified tenfold and then tenfold again. (twitter is built around this, btw. fabricated outrage creates engagement.) i think if you peek out of the echo chamber you'll find that most ot7 armys have no secret anti-jimin agenda. he's actually really well-liked! who would have thought.
ending this with a quote from the original discussion which perfectly sums up my thoughts:
“I'm just saying that he does [flirt] (in a platonic way, if that makes sense?) and that it's okay. We don't need to erase his personality traits and truths in order to denounce problematic perceptions.
If you think stating him being a flirty person = encouraging the view that Jimin is BTS' boy toy, then that's not my problem or anyone else's.”
lol. i don't think he's straight, no, but i also don't think it's nearly as clear-cut as most people seem to believe. this is not @ you anon, but i see so many who are convinced that he and other members of bts are in a glass closet (together or separately): believe me when i say that there are a good few korean celebrities who are in glass closets and none of them are in bts.
anyway! jimin. i don't think he's straight.
(& since i am answering this as a corollary to this particular post, i thought i'd add a reminder that queer friendships look different than straight friendships a lot of the time. and that includes how affection is expressed. just something else to consider.)

Do you mean jikookers or individual fans of Jimin and Jungkook? The reactions would be a bit varied but at the core of all of them, it would be the same in some cases. Let's look at it from the different possibilities.
Jikook is real.
Jikookers: I think it's a bit unnecessary to write the reaction of jikookers in this scenario but it's worth saying that those jikookers who ship them mainly for fun would be a bit surprised.
Their individual fanbases: I think many would pretend that nothing was confirmed and continue to behave in the same way, others would live in denial, it's not the same to pretend that nothing was confirmed, they would pretend that it's not true. Some others would stop being his fans because of "homophobia", and others would say that you have to respect their private lives and not talk about it unless it is impossible not to, i.e. if Jikook did something hard to ignore. Some would still ship them together but just for fun.
They announce their relationships with people of the opposite sex.
Jikookers: Most jikookers would respect the announcement and joke that they are confused and need some explanation. They would say that they don't understand what happened because X, Y and Z moment told them that they were a couple. Others would say they are not at all surprised because they always thought jikook was bisexual. Others would live in complete denial and some would react negatively because they would feel that jikook lied to them and made them believe something that wasn't true, they would feel "betrayed" and stop being his fans, arguing that they only cared about the ship.
Their individual fanbases: I think the reaction would be very similar to what they would have if jikook was real although here many would say that they are happy for them and would openly become shippers or fans of that couple, regardless if it is with a famous person or not. Some would become antis of that person and depending on if it is revealed who they are, they would harass them on their social media or on social media in general.
If the announcement is that they have LGTBI+ relationships but not with each other, I think the reactions would be a bit of all of the above but jikookers in particular would lament that the relationship is not between them and some would say they hope that one day it will be.
