Hello, I finally remembered that I have a Tumblr lol. I talk to you on my AO3 account Rainbow Cake and I've been reading your invisible string fic, I really love it. You've successfully pulled me back into the PJO fandom after like, seven or so years of being away from it, and now I'm really into the Jasico side. I like the small community of the ship, I usually stick with small fandoms with chill vibes. Do you have any super cute fluffy recs? BTW if you ever want to chat about anything DM me! I've been plotting a Lawlight fic and would love someone to chat with.

And I'm so happy you loved jasico that much, like, really, I love your comments on my lawlight fic but the fact that now you also ship jasico makes me really really happy!! And yes, I love the jasico nation, we are small but honestly the best place in the pjo fandom

Now to the fic recs! Fisrt thing is that we're doing some events on the @jasico-challenges acc, and for every event we create a collection on ao3, so there's many works there that are new.

Now, my very dear friend, mina, writes too and his works are usually shorter than my insanely long fics kkkk, and I love his fics because they are very focused on character study. His writing is also amazing! So I'll give you the link for his ao3 so you can choose what to read

Also, last but not least, there's the jasico bible, Homebound. Look, this fic is REALLY long, and also it takes a billion chapters for something to happen between them lol (I'm not kidding). So if you're anxious maybe that won't be your cup of tea, but anyway, it still is the jasico bible

let’s talk about jasicosss:

you kinda need to read Homebound. It’s 800k and pretty much considered the Jasico Bible and Canon-after-BoO by shippers. It’s the sloweeeeest burn, post-canon, them becoming best friends and falling in love through 90 chapters.

if the length scares you, i have some other stuff!!

Operation Blue Bananas by amperstellar is one of my favourites EVER. It’s about Jason having the biggest crush on Nico post-BoO (so it’s about canon lol) and asking Percy to help him win Nico over. They concoct very stupid plans. It’s hilarious and lighthearted and love exists.

No More Heroes by nikkiRA is the first Jasico fic I’ve ever read and it still holds up as one of my faves. Years after BoO, Nico starts crashing on Jason’s couch anytime he doesn’t know where to go or he’s injured. You can guess what happens next. Beautiful, sweet, love exists. Also by nikkiRA, Wingman. It’s about Jason trying to set up dates for Nico but then getting too jealous and messing them up💀

Years we lost by MermaidMarie is a super underrated one. It’s actually set years post ToA. Nico finds Jason in a cafè and he remembers nothing of his previous life, but Nico simply can’t lose him again so he helps him remember. The journey is so so so painful, but so rewarding. This fic changed my life.

North by aelescribe is about them falling in Tartarus together. Yesssss.

The Emotion and The Response and its little sequel by Betsib are lovely!! Another post-BoO get together fic. A lot of other stuff by Betsib too!! For instance, Black Coffee and Dead People is an amazing AU. Jason is investigating a serial killer and Nico is the coroner. So good. But there are others!!

(i love it when we’re) cruising together by ohmygodwhy is about them doing a road trip post-BoO so that Nico can visit Venice without the threat of imminent death again. They fall in love in the process. Lol. It’s fucking fantastic. Also, read anything Jasico by ohmygodwhy.

it was you who held me under by thelittleone. oh shit. oh shit. basically it’s a mortal AU where Jason and Nico were together, broke up, and meet again a couple of years later. so so so so good.

Ranking Nico Di Angelo ships as a multishipper with a crazy imagination, a Nico hyperfixation of 3 years, and the willpower of a god:

1. Solangelo - 8/10 I love them!! I adore Will in TSATS and he’s easily one of my favorite characters. I wish Rick had let us get to know Will separately before he was immediately made Nico’s boyfriend, but I love him anyway. I think they’re good for each other and very supportive. I think I spend too much time consuming media of them than their actual book interactions, because in media I hate their fanon portrayals, but I adore them in cannon. I only had the chance to read half of TSATS, but I thought it was cute!

2. Jasico - 10/10 I love them for the same reasons I love Solangelo, but Jason got character development and Will didn’t. Also, they had a cool moment with Cupid that I think about once a week at least. Jason is constantly someone Nico trusts and (I may be wrong) hugs at some point in the series. The only people Nico has shown direct physical affection to within the series (to my knowledge) are Will, Jason, Hazel, and Reyna. This proves how much Nico trusts Jason, even after Cupid. Also they’re silly and dumb and I love them so I’m right always

3. Nico x Conner - 10/10 I FUCKING LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Lemme explain. So when Nico came to camp he stayed with the Hermes cabin, but Luke was already fucked off (I think) so Conner and Travis were probably in charge of the cabin. Conner’s age changes several times, so I headcannon him to be just a tad older than Nico. I think since he knew Nico when he was a kid he can make present day Nico less doom and gloom and know when he’s truly happy. Also, Nico went to a notably strict military school before coming to camp, yk what they say, strict conditions raise sneaky kids. Thats right, these two are fucking nuts. They are little thieves. And I don’t even wanna mention the implications of Conner’s dad (Lin Manuel Miranda) being the god of travelers and Nico essentially being an eternal traveller. They make me so sick I love them

4. Nico x Clovis - 7/10 they were mentioned as friends MAYBE once and I took that shit and ran with it tbh. I don’t even remember if it’s cannon. I just love them. I THINK it was mentioned that Clovis helps Nico with his nightmares, but atp this shit might just be my imagination or a fic I read once. Anyways, Nico is noted as a very anxious person, and Clovis is very laid back. I really like that duo and the idea that Clovis can help to ground him a lot and help him relax

5. Valdengelo - 6/10 while I do adore them, they have hardly any time together or any bonding moments at all (Note: I am a hypocrite over Clovis let’s fight abt it) I do love media about them and consume it at rates not comprehendible by mankind though. Aside from no time together, I think they’re epic. Nico experiences a lot of the same things as Leo, such as losing his mother and general sadness, but they cope in wildly different ways (neither of which are healthy). Also, Nico grew up in the lotus casino. I’m sick of us all acting like he doesn’t understand technology. Let them be engineer boyfriends PLEASE

6. Pernico. - no.

Keep in mind this is just my opinion please don’t take anything too personal!! I love all ships (almost. Lookin at you Pernico.) equally and if you have any fic recommendations for any of these please give them to me I’m desperate

(Also, this doesn’t represent my FAVORITE Nico ship, just a ranking based on how much I giggle when I see them. It does not take many logistics into account)

Ever since their encounter with Cupid, Jason has been spending more time around Nico. Whether it’s in the mornings, coming up to the crow’s nest to check on him, or at night when Jason somehow knows Nico is awake and wandering the deck. Each encounter has left Nico confused. Jason hasn’t said anything about what happened in Delos to any of the others, but his attitude toward Nico has definitely changed.

Now, Nico is standing on the deck and looking out at the ocean, his elbows propped on the banister. He takes a deep breath of the salty ocean air and lets it cleanse his lungs. He is just about to carefully exhale when Jason appears at his side.

“Hey Nico, how are you?” he asks casually.

Nico chokes on his breath, turning away from Jason to cough into his elbow. After he recovers, he whips around to glare at Jason. “ Di immortales , Grace, you could give me some sort of warning.”

Jason’s eyes glimmer as he leans against the banister, body angled toward Nico and chin propped up on a hand. “You appear from the shadows all the time. I figured I could give it a try.”

The reference to his powers makes annoyance flood through Nico. Does Jason just want to laugh at him?

[4,718 words] summary: “You’re still going to marry me someday, right?” Nico’s head snapped up, drizzling paint across the floor as he lifted the roller from the pan too early - which was exactly why they’d chosen to finish up painting first. Nico snorted, a gorgeous sound that sent Will’s heart fluttering. “Of course I am. What kind of question is that?”
