I said I'd share some of the voicelines I've stumbled into, and I'm finally posting them (I'm sorry I have such a bad sense of passing time). It's actually nice to hear them without the loudspeakers' white noise.

the hot coffee in your hand spread a surge of warmth through your palms, trickling down into your veins as you speed-walked to your destination. the heat from the drink counteracted the incessant spattering of rain which sent sparks of cold ricocheting down your spine.
you were done with your work for the day, having just finished your shift at a local cafe and completed your classes a little before that, rendering you with nothing left to do. all your schoolwork was completed, and you didn't really feel like going home yet (seeing as it was only around 6pm) so there was really only one logical course of action left: to go bother your boyfriend who worked down the street.
kenji, your boyfriend since you were both quite literally 13 years old, had recently been employed as a tattoo and piercing parlour's receptionist, a position he'd chatted your ear off about when he'd first scored it out of sheer excitement. it wasn't only a good paying, interesting job- it was close to your place of work, only a 5-minute walk away.
rather quickly, it became a habit for you to drop by whenever you could for the purpose of keeping him company. kenji never failed to brighten up (a feat you never thought would be possible, but you were proved wrong often) whenever you walked through the parlour's doors with two to-go cups of coffee in hand. you had his order memorised- white chocolate mocha, hot in the winter and cold in the summer.
when you pushed open the doors to the building, you were greeted by the smell of cinnamon and upbeat pop music you recognised as a track from your shared playlist humming quietly from the speaker system. kenji sat behind the desk, head slumped over and arms around his face. you bit back a smile, moving closer and seeing the gentle rise and fall of his chest. shaggy dark hair and the sleeves of his dark brown crewneck obscured most of his face, save for the apple of his cheek. a dusting of hazel freckles shifts with his skin as he mumbles something in his sleep.
"kenji. wake up."
he grumbles something more and shoves his face deeper into his arms. more dark hair covers what you could see and you roll your eyes. he's always slept like the dead, no matter where he was.
you place the drinks down on the counter and reach over to shake his shoulder gently. "you alive?"
your touch rouses him, and he raises his head. droopy, tired eyes blink up at you, not registering what they're seeing. "do.. you have an appointment?"
you exhale a sigh, hands landing on your hips. "you need to start wearing your glasses."
and then you see it: he brightens like the sun rising in the sky, a light being turned on, a sparkle glinting behind his expression. cheeks turning rosy and creasing as he beams at you, he greets you with a delighted rendition of your name. you've known him for 5 years and loved him for a dozen lifetimes but the way he says your name is always something so sweet, intimate, and never fails to make your heart rate pick up.
"i can't believe you're already asleep; it's only, like, 6."
he groans, and flops his head back into his arms. one eye peeks up at you. "but it's so boring, no one's scheduled until later."
"that's great," you say dryly, "good opportunity for you to catch up on all your late work."
your boyfriend huffs and you laugh. he comes around the other side of the desk to stand next to you, a bright grin cracking through his feigned annoyance. "you're overestimating me," he wheedles, "there's too many."
"and whose fault is that?"
"not mine!"
"you're literally studying education. you have nothing to be complaining about with your what, two assignments a week?"
he scowls at you. you fail to hide your smile. kenji's head lands on your shoulder with a sigh, and with your free hand you reach over and grab the cup of coffee you brought him. "you'll need this if you're already passing out."
he blinks at the drink, not taking it. and then his face erupts into a furious red blush, once which he tries to hide by shoving his hands over his cheeks and groaning. it didn't do much to veil the redness of his ears, striped off by the myriad of silver piercings decorating them.
"what? are you okay?" your inquiries fall upon deaf ears as kenji leans even more of his weight onto you, almost toppling you (and the drink) over. "oh my god, what? are you actually dying? do i need to call someone?"
he rises back up a little and looks at you, with that same expression that's solely reserved for things he loves: it's how he looks at cats, his drums, and the ocean; his little sisters, flowers, and thai food; it's how he looks at you, always.
"you remembered my favourite drink," he says in a watery, teary voice, as if it's a big deal, "i'm in love with you."
you bite the inside of your cheek to fight your grin. "you have the most basic taste. it'd be hard to forget."
kenji looks up at you, through his lashes and his bangs. his eyes glow more gold than their usual green in the warm lighting of the parlour. "i'm g'nna marry you one day."
you blink at him as he snatches the white chocolate mocha (cold, because it's winter) from your hands and takes a sip. you blink again. and again.
and you think that sure, you're okay with that being your future. yeah, you're definitely okay with this.

Do you know any thai/korean/all BL dramas with sad ending?
Thai/Korean/All BL Dramas With Sad Endings
Okay, let me get started. BL in general is not really created for sad endings. It is a phantasy land where all kinds of dreams come true. And originally it adressed a specific audience. So, some of the dramas I am listing here are more queer media in general and not specifically BL. And some of those dramas have an open ending, that does not mean it is not a sad ending, and some might have a beautiful ending, which was kind of sad. There are so many ways of reading those endings.
Two of the shows I haven’t watched yet, but I know that those have sad endings… And please be aware, there will be spoilers after the read-more-dash.
Let’s get started!
Egoist – based on a true story, this Japanese movie is heartbreaking. It is a beautiful story about the love between two people and how they manage their life together until, yeah well, until fate f*ed everything up.
Eien No Kinou (Eternal Yesterday) – another Japanese title. From the start of this series, you just know that this won’t end well. It just can’t. And at the same time, it is so beautiful, you can’t stop watching it. So good!
History 3: Make Our Days Count – I guess people would come after me, if I don’t mention this Taiwanese bl. Yeah…I wasn’t that impacted by the ending, but most of the people who watched it were devastated. I understand why, so have fun 😊
Kissable lips – the first Korean one. This series wasn’t my cup of tea, but that wasn’t the question. For a sad ending, this is your series!
The Miracle of Teddy Bear – this is such a complex thai series as is the ending. Many didn’t watch it because of some weird elements of the series and the episodes are long, but BUT it is so worth a watch! The ending? I kind of liked it? But it was very bittersweet and considering the use of the Little Prince source it is really good...but sad... I am confused... still...
Dark Blue And Moonlight – a Taiwanese series…I wouldn’t recommend it. I can’t really remember the ending… I know it was bad sad.
180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us – a thai masterpiece. I love this one so much and I analysed the sh*t out of it! It is so good and I was devastated in the end! Such a great storytelling and cinematography and story and the characters...perfection.
Dear Doctor, I’m Coming For Soul – this is a thai series, which got very little attention when it aired (I don’t know why, I really liked it) and the ending was just a sobbing fest for me. I mean I liked it and it was just logical, but I was very sad!
Don’t Say No – also a thai series and I don’t focus on the main couple… I couldn’t care less about them… but the side couple! Oh the heartbreak I felt and the betrayel!
He She It – To this day I still ask myself what I have watched here. All I know is, it is confusing and kind of sad…the whole story, not just the ending.
The Best Story – it is Thai and it is YinWar… so it is good. Nevertheless, it has a very bittersweet ending, and I didn’t feel good after finishing this miniseries. I was very sad!
Once Again – one of my favorite series of 2022. This Korean series deals with a lot of trauma. It has some supernatural element and is really really good! And I was sobbing for the whole f*cking last episode!
When The Waves Rise – in this Korean short film, it is all about the feeling you get from it. It left me devastated. I was really not doing well after finishing it. It touched a part of my soul and it left a sore spot there.
Your Name Engraved Herein – I haven’t seen this one, because I know it will break my heart and I am still not ready for that. It is a Taiwanese movie and I know that I will love it, but I also know that I will cry my little eyes out.
Grey Rainbow – haven‘t seen this one either. This is a Thai miniseries and it is said to have a very sad ending.
The Untamed – the king, the queen, the emperor of sadness. I love this 50 episodes long Chinese masterpiece of a series to death! It doesn’t have a bad ending imo and it is quite open, but the amount of tears I shed during watching this fantasy epos was not funny anymore. I was ugly crying for like 15 minutes straight at one point. And I felt empty after I finished it. I miss it so much! I wish I could watch it again with all the emotions I had during my first watch!
But yeah…this is my little list 😊

this is mitsuko theyre a redesign of my old retired fursona from back in my early hatena/sudomemo days. theyre a shooting star that turned into a cat and she's a huge nerdy otaku. they used to live on the moon. they live on earth in tokyo now.
their favorite things to do are making donuts and reading manga while its raining.
their favorite donut is a powdered jelly-filled donut. she is not a particularly good cook outside of donut-making, and she's really picky about what she eats as well. (due to autism texture issues.) she usually gets convenience store food or takeout for her meals because of this.
she's a NEET as well.

the first two satoshi are not intentional. i do not even remember cake satoshi. usually when i have to pick a name for an unimportant OC, i just go on a list of japanese names and pick one that i've heard of real people having. so i guess i just like the name??

harking back to this post i made about imagine make-up artist (aka cosmetic paradise meiku no kiseki), i've discovered more hidden gems hidden in the depths of ubisoft's localization treatment.
all under the cut!
ofc there's still cosmetic paradise meiku no kiseki, or コスメちっくパラダイス～メイクのキセキ～. absolustely wild the changes this game got, the major ones are listed in that post i linked but wanted to share the different covers here
and now we have ballet star (aka princess ballerina or プリンセスバレリーナ 夢みる4人のプリマドンナ) which i haven't gone too far into but it's real good so far, def deserved more than the imagine series treatment.
also judging from the second photoset i found they just Delete one of the girls (they like deleting someone when there's 4 of them it seems lmao). i need to play more and do more research in all the changes but that seems to be the main thing so far.
and finally the last game i wanna mention in detail is petz vet (aka himawari doubutsu byouin, or ひまわりどうぶつ病院)! i started playing it today and it's really interesting, having 11 endings in total and a set story to follow (similar to the cosmetic paradise series but with vet work instead of make-up work)
thankfully this one didn't get too many changes! just westernized names and one of the minigames being made easier (which i can't blame them tbh). they even kept that one of the guys moved from another country and speaks the game's language roughly!
i'm excited to finish it, and possibly play again.

These were the tiniest crumbs yet but they were there at least. I'm really wondering how Asuka is going to handle this because it's obvious that he has feelings for Shuu but also that he doesn't have hope for those feelings or any ideas like Shin to act on them. But the real question is if he's going to warn Shuu or if he just wants to be more straightforward or... so much of this depends on background we don't have yet. How long have they known each other?
