Out of all places, a walmart bathroom might’ve been the last spot Jane expected to see her childhood best friend.

A mishap with a melted chocolate bar in her backpack caused a much needed pitstop at the closest restroom.

You, however, were just trying to wait for a friend to finish using their respected stall, waiting by the rusty water fountain.

With her hands still wet, she touched your arm, a small gesture she was so used to doing as a child.

“Jane?”

You hardly recognized her through the treks of life, her youthfulness gone, and scars littered across her body and face.

But that stylish hair and those cat-like nails are hard to forget, even in your middle school years she’s was always a fashionista.

“How…have you been?” It was tight and awkward, especially coming from someone usually as confident as her; but the sentiment was there.

“Things have been better.” You managed a smile.

“That’s good, I’m happy for you.” A beat passes. “Would you like to meet up for lunch sometime?”

“Yeah! Yeah…that’d be nice to catch up on everything!”

“Alright, cool!” Jane fidgeted in her pants, and pulled out her little hit-list spiral. “I’ll give you my number.”

But maybe it just wasn’t meant to be.

You lost her number, tossing it out with the Walmart receipt on accident, and it was lost forever.

However, it was nice to see her again.

You hope she’s finally happy.

Day 2: -Jane The Killer X F!Reader “You’ve told your parents?” x “Nobody warned you about me?”

Trigger Warning: Homophobic Activity, Bad Parents, Sad Elements.

You just ended a call with your parents. You felt the tears roll down your cheeks, only to have new ones replace them. You had just come out to them and told them you were dating a girl named "Jane". They didn’t accept you. They could only list the reasons why it wasn’t right. They couldn’t see a single good thing about your relationship with her. If you only had the opportunity, you could’ve listed all the reasons why it was right. You shook as you curled up into a ball whilst you sat on the couch. You looked at the phone receiver in disbelief. There were so many ways that this could’ve gone and, of course, you managed to get the worst way.

You heard a hurried rush come from the door as it swung open. It was your girlfriend, Jane. She stood strong. She looked at you. Her figure slowly softened up. "Reader? ", "Is everything alright?’ ‘I heard you from the other room." she quickly got onto your level. You looked at her porcelain mask of a face as she rubbed your tears away with her soft hands. Her dark hair deeply contrasted with the white of her mask. She seemed stressed, as she always was. "I- I told my parents about us." you frowned as you struggled to form a sentence. You didn’t know what to say and you had the feeling she did.

"You’ve told your parents?’ ‘About us?" her posture stiffened. She was freaking out under all that control. You could tell from the way she held your cheek. It was much different than, the strokes before. "Yeah," you muttered under your breath, still shaken. You felt this oncoming dread slowly arise as you sat with Jane. "You know how dangerous that is?" she raised her tone as she looked at you. "I know and didn’t tell them that." you played it off, but she knew what you meant. "That I’m wanted for murder?" Jane looked at you, crouched down, but remained taller than you.

"Look-" you tried to speak before she cut you off abruptly. "Do you not get how dangerous I am?’ ‘I love you more than anything but it doesn’t mean I’m not a killer." Jane stood quietly she seemed to want to add so much more. "Do you not care about your family? Or even friends." she tried to be soft but you could tell she missed her own. "I love you." you didn’t know what to say. It was true that a good portion of your friends and family had blocked you. Though it was never because they thought she murdered people. It was always because you two were together. "I don’t want to lose you but I don’t want you to lose everything for me.’ ‘You don’t deserve that. I do." she explained and tried her best to communicate. There was a moment of silence before she spoke up. "Did nobody warn you about me?" she asked, looking at you. She couldn’t believe that such a sweet person could ever love her. Or even tolerate her. You could hear a short, brief sniffle coming from behind her mask. "I love you, Jane." You reached out to her. "I don’t care. I want you just as much as you want me" you softly smiled toward her as she took you in for a hug. You both held each other as the clock mercilessly ticked by.

Jane loves getting to learn about new cultures

She isn't super into learning new languages, but for you, she would love to!

When you start teaching her, she writes little notes in this vintage leather notebook she bought a while ago, she just didn't have a use for it

She's surprisingly a very fast learner, she is speaking simple sentences within two weeks

I think that once she is fluent enough in Tagalog, she would mainly use it to gossip about people without other's understanding

Ben has never really had an interest in learning a new language, and is too lazy to put in that kind of effort

Liu, being Columbian can speak a little bit of spanish himself

It's not much, because his mom only taught him a little bit, but he doesn't really mind

So when you come around, asking if it's alright to teach him your native language, he gets super excited!

A new way for you guys to bond and spend time together? And he gets to learn a new language while doing it? Hell yeah!

He is very enthusiastic about the whole thing

Once he gets enough to put simple sentences together, he tries out saying things in Tagalog just to surprise you

To which you get excited, even if he gets it a little wrong, because you know he's trying

And seeing you get excited gives him the motivation to keep learning the language

He eventually, like Jane, uses this to whisper sweet nothings into your ear that only you would be able to understand

He uses this new pond of knowledge mostly for romantic purposes tbh

He just loves you so much !!

Eyeless Jack

Jack, being the nerd he is, is always down to learn something new

He sat down and learned French once just because he could

He is very rusty now, but if he wanted to order a salad then he totally could

While you are teaching him, he barely talks

All you hear from his end is a bunch of scribbling in a notebook as he writes down every word you say

He also goes out and buys a bunch of books either on or in Tagalog, that way he can study more when you are sleeping, and so he can try out some of the words he's learned in an actual real world experience

Once learning about the language, this puts him down a rabbit hole

He then learns about the history of Tagalog, history of the Philippines, culture and traditions, folktale, food, etc

Which comes as a shock to you when he suddenly asks for you to make Lumpia, or if you can't make it, if you can go out together and get some

He insists that if you go to a resturaunt, that it be one that is actual authentic Philippine resturaunt that way he isn't getting some watered down version of traditional foods

He must know everything about everything

Jane The Killer Oneshot (fluffbruary)

A/N: tried to make it as gender neutral as possible

For February of 2024 I will attempt to do a prompt every day, to get more comfortable with writing again. I forgot to post this sooo, here. as a present: a playlist!!

"The Comment..."

Walking back to the mansion was decently annoying; after all, you were dealing with two of the MOST difficult pastas to work with, Jane and Jeff.

Between their constant bickering and your ever-growing headache, you held on tight to your boyfriend’s hand and squeezed it tightly whenever he said something that would piss Jane off. Jane held in her remarks quite well until Jeff made a comment on Jane’s family.

That’s when you lost it for her. She was your friend; you didn’t know why she liked hanging out with you so much, especially after you and Jeff got together. But she did; she did like you; you just weren’t sure how much.

“Jeff, that is enough. I’m fucking sick of you; all you do is complain, start fights, and then bitch when you can’t win. It’s not cool,” you said, taking a breath. "Plus, bringing up Jane's family? Really? What the fuck is wrong with you? I thought you told me you were over this, and you fucking lied to me. You clearly can’t help but get all cocky over the fact that you hurt Jane, you can’t let go that you killed her family, and you know she fucking hates you, so why open your mouth? Because you like the attention? Or because you NEED attention, no matter if it’s good or bad.” You exhaled and let go of his hand.

Jeff was speechless by your sudden lecturing, but you could tell that he did not enjoy it. He liked you a lot, mainly because you were the only one who never lectured him like he was a moody teen.

His brows furrowed, and he scoffed.

“Why does it matter to you so much? It’s not like I did it to you.” He stopped walking, and you and Jane stopped several feet in front of him.

“She’s my friend; that's why it matters.” You responded simply. Jane still hadn’t spoken since you two began 'arguing; she just stood there, looking at you with what you hoped wasn’t hatred for speaking on her behalf.

Jeff started forward for a while until you swear you heard a “click” as it suddenly clicked into his head.

“You like her, don’t you, y/n?” Jeff asked, anger bubbling into his features.

“Wha-i- No?" You responded with a blush flooding your cheeks.

“You fucking liar!” he shouted.

“Don’t raise your voice at her.” Jane finally spoke. A cool tone sent shivers down your spine.

“And what are we going to do if I do it again?” Jeff snarkily asked. Jane stayed quiet.

“That’s what I thought.” Jeff smirked.

“Y/n? Do you like this bitch?" he spat. Every ounce of love he had for you was almost instantly gone. It was all a big misunderstanding, right?

You stayed quiet.

“I’m not going to ask you again. Fucking answer me!” He raised his voice again, which made you slightly flinch.

“I can't; you’re my boyfriend; if I did like her, it would be wrong; that and I'm straight; I can't." You kneeled down and grabbed your head, pulling at your hair. You’ve always struggled with your sexuality; you also struggled with religion and what you believed in. You thought being anything but straight was wrong, but you still supported people and their decisions.

Jeff glared at you; he knew all of this, and he used it as an advantage. He knew that when you were mentally weak, he could plant seeds in your brain. He was cruel, and he knew it.

“Get the fuck up and answer the damn question.” He snarled, his knuckles turning white on the hilt of his knife.

Jane took a step toward you and gently lifted you off the forest floor.

“It’s okay; you don’t have to tell him anything; you can just keep walking, and we can go home," she said with a soft whisper.

“Get off of them. Now.” Jeff ordered.

You stood up and turned around to face him. You looked him dead in the eyes, and suddenly everything he programmed into you—everything your family had taught you—fell away.

You had never stood up for yourself when it came to him. You let him talk sh*t about you in front of the other pastas, you let him make comments about your body in front of his friends, and you let him talk about sex publicly and how you were at it. You finally had enough; you knew he was trying to break you.

"For one, Jeff, I liked it better when you and I are alone; you are always so much nicer to me, but we’re always in front of everyone else, and when we are alone, it’s usually because you're horny. You are always nice to me when you want something. You are so fucking selfish; I have no idea what I saw in you. You’re fucking pathetic. And for two, yes, I find Jane attractive. Jeff stood there, trying to process what you said to him. Jane snickered.

When you first arrived at the mansion, your poor little brain took refuge in Jeff; he was your first friend. After Jeff, you made a couple more friends, and after Jeff asked you out, you pushed everyone else away for him because he told you to. He mentally abused you for months, and you finally snapped.

“Hear that, you little punk, your ex thinks I'm attractive.” Jane laughed and wrapped an arm around your waist.

You blushed and stared directly into Jeff's eyes.

“There’s a reason I'm here, Jeff, and it’s not for you or anyone else; I'm here because I took care of myself, and I won't stop taking care of myself. So fucking cry about it.”

Jeff’s fingers twitched around his blade, and he turned around and walked away.

Jeff was never one to be quiet, but he genuinely couldn’t have said anything to change your mind, and he knew that. He just hopes he can do better, because in the beginning he really did love you; he just can't control himself. And that was the problem.

Jane and you walked through the woods and talked quietly. She was mostly reassuring you that you made a good choice and that it was self-preservation. You were just trying not to cry.

Jane was extremely supportive of your choice and your mental health. She grabbed your hand, and the two of you returned to the mansion, fingers intertwined.

*Two hours later*

Jane and you were hanging out in her room as she painted your nails black to match hers. Jeff returned to the mansion an hour after the two of you did.

You were tempted to apologize to him, but Jane stopped you several times. After she silently painted your nails, she looked up at you and sighed.

"Look, y/n, I'm flattered that you stood up for me, and I think it's cute that you think I’m attractive, but do you actually like me?” She asked, and her pale green eyes bore into yours behind the black mesh of the mask’s eyes.

“Yes, you’re probably my favorite person to be around in this hell hole. You make being here worth everything I did, and I'd do it all again if it meant I could be with you.”

She let out a breathy laugh and grabbed the bottom of her mask.

“I’ve never really liked my appearance behind my mask, so please close your eyes."

“Alright.” You sheepishly smiled and waited. You heard shuffling and the shifting of fabric.

“What are you-?" You couldn’t finish speaking because her lips were already on yours, and you loved it. Her lips were smooth and featureless from the scarred tissue; her lips didn’t really feel like lips, but it didn’t bother you.

You hesitantly reached your hands up to the sides of her face, and she grabbed them, forcing them back into her lap. You smiled, and she pulled away.

“Why are you smiling?” she asked with a quizzical tone.

“I like how shy you are around me when we’re alone, but I also like how you trust me enough to do this with me.” You responded, but the lids were still closed.

There was shifting, and then a "clip,” and she hummed. You opened your eyes, and her mask was back on.

"Well, if it helps, I find you attractive too.” Jane said, a smile evident in her voice.

A/N:

i have a couple headcanons littered throughout this oneshot, i might make a headcanon list for all the characters i've written for/writing for, which is currently four/five but i'll add more. also this is my first oneshot so sorry if it's totally horrendous, i've had a big fat girl-crush on jane since forever, this took me 3-4 hours so i'd say it's rushed a little, but either way i hope it was remotely enjoyable.

Jane

Jane is like the older sister to all the younger folk in the manor, and Toby has especially taken a liking to her. She knows how to make someone feel appreciated and loved, which is exactly what you need most days after work from social burnout.

She has this empathetic aura about her, motherly and sisterly vibes all the way. She’ll talk you through problems, and give advice to those in need.

Social anxiety is no biggie to Jane. She’s handled it before with her own vices, and has helped Toby through most of his. It's a battle she's helped before.

But coming home from work is hard most days. You’re either socially burnt from communicating and being around others for 12 hours, or you’re just in shambles from all of the negative thoughts building up over the small nuisances.

She lets you know that what your feeling is normal, yet it might be blown out of proportion a little bit.

No one is staring you down while you eat, darling. Neither are they whispering behind your back when you stumble over a branch while at work.

Other than Jane, you have a full support system of proxies. They’re also available to vent to and give you a pat on the back.

Tim is seen as the parental figure of the group, so even if you don’t directly go to him, he’ll notice you struggling and give you a pat on the back.

Sometimes you can even overheard Tim and Jane talking a little too loudly about your accomplishments from the other room. Just to make you feel good.

If only you weren’t so anxious to bring these things up.

The mansion would find out pretty quickly since Jeff has quite the temper

Since the reader is his girlfriend,I believe they have a pretty deep emotional connection.

When I am talking about "deep emotional connection" I mean it.He would joke about other people being "his little girlfriends" but when it came to the reader his tone was serious with a tint of fondness and peace of mind.

His first reaction isn't immediate anger,but rather pure utter shook,standing there with wide eyes as his body froze.

I can see Jeff and Jane having a fight and him disregarding everything he has done to her in the past,making her rage out

"Then why am I fucking your girlfriend?"

"You ain't fucking shit." he spat out,making the mistake of looking at you as your gaze reached the floor.Then he knew.

Jane would have no reaction,she would just cross her arms as her anger drifted away,slowly waiting for the outburst.

10 seconds he didn't say anything,but rather crossed his eyebrows and waited for you to say something.But you didn't.

The shame over the years,the internalized emotions,the utter disgust and hate he had for himself made him forget about the creeps and turned his whole body to you

His voice was shaky at first but then he started to yell reminders about your words,your actions,the way you molded him and gave him a glint of hope inside this hell pit.

He thinks that you're the first one to betray him,and then it's him.He was used to his character and its shitty habits,but you were his only salvation.

He doesn't hurt you,well,not physically,but he's sure to not let any little detail escape his lips accompanied with a few slurs as well

The proxies are the first ones to get out of their rooms,followed by Clockwork who was there for the drama juice

The most disappointed one would be EJ.He doesn't have any friendship with Jeff,but he knows that that was his last relationship.

Ben is also bummed,knowing that for at least a year Jeff won't touch any video game anymore

Nina watches from afar as Liu tries to take control over Sully who just stands there,enjoying his brother's tears

The whole circus ends with Jeff leaving the manor for the night as the others are left to either go back to their rooms,gossip about what happened,or to simply forget about what happened.

After all,maybe he deserved it.He ruined Jane's life years ago,it was only fair for someone to destroy it back-only thing is that the reader did it.Not Jane.

About your scars, if you happen to be insecure, she will try her best to make you feel pretty again! A lot of complements and words of support 25/8! Jane also doesnt argue with you or make a huge fuss if you happen to snap at her, she will give you some space if its needed and talk about it with you!
