Najih grew up alone with his mother, Layla. He never met his father and his mother always avoids any questions about him. Hi family, as far as he knows, is full of assassins and so was his mother. And he was expected to be the same. So all through this childhood he was trained in many things like combat, martial arts, weaponry, poison, survival and more. Every day a challenge his mother put upon him to “prepare” him for adulthood. The more normal things she trained him in is how to fight(both offense and defense), how to use most weapons and turn things into weapons and how to survive most things like this.

The things that weren’t that normal however were the more intense training. One of these things were the poison, how to make and consume poison. Everyday he would drink a bit of poison since the age of 4 to get him immune to it. One of the other things she did is leave him alone on an island for over a year to fend for himself. This island was the home of a lot of monsters and had no humans living there.

His mother would always put him through trials like these, often causing him to break something or collapse on the spot. But all of that payed off when he took his first job at 13, which was to assassinate a CEO of an oil company. After a successful assassination attempt he’d be sent on more and more “jobs”.

They were all the same until he got a job from a very famous, and influential, family for a bodyguard job. At first he thought it would be a horrible idea, he’s an assassin not a bodyguard, but after his mother “talked” to him he accepted.

And that’s the one, and only, reason he joined NRC at the beginning of the second semester.

He never met his father, and whenever he asks about him his mother shuts him down or ignores him.

The family that hired him is actually the Al-Asim family.

He got enrolled right after winter break, but the Al-Asims tried to hire him way before the school year started.

He has trouble opening up to people because of his upbringing.

When he first got in he put on a “nice but shy guy” act, knowing that’s how he could get closer to the Scarabia duo.

It took Kalim and Jamil a while to realize that Najih wasn’t just some random student but was actually Kalim’s bodyguard.

Kalim was actually the one to figure it out when Jamil was taken by S.T.Y.X

Afterwards he just dropped the act, growing bored and noted by it.

But not a lot of people noticed since he still was very quiet.

The first one to actually notice (After Kalim and Jamil) was Sebek, since they share a class and all. Which surprised him.

He first joined the light music club(which made Kalim Cater and Lilia so happy) so he can monitor Kalim better at first.

But then he actually started to enjoy his time and never left.

He plays the piano, which was surprising but very welcomed in the club.

He learned how to play the piano for a mission when he was 14 and got very into it.

He’s usually wherever Kalim is, but started to hang out with other people(mostly the first years and music club)

Deuce and Cater invited him to an Un-Birthday party, where he realized just how much of a sweet tooth he is.

He’s polyamorous, and tends to get crushes when he gets close to someone.

His first crush was actually Lilia when he read about him. And when he met him and realized it was him his crush came back.

Now it’s a bit nonexistent, but still there a bit

Do you think tumblr's nonchalant way of talking and attributing neurodivergiant diagnosises to charachters or traits/behaviours is in an ironic way ableist too by turning it into a trendy chic catchphrase or zodiac-like joke? Like I imagine the people who are margenalized because of these labels feel weird seeing Crona wearing a "autism-meme" tshirt, but maybe I'm wrong

I don’t think I can speak well to this. I don’t identify as neurodivergent, I haven’t gone in for formal diagnosis--and just about any time I have been referred to as neurodivergent, it has been to insult me (for example, “I should have expected this response that I don’t appreciate from someone like you--Asperger boy!”).

This is a wordy way of saying, I’m going to get a lot wrong below, so I welcome feedback.

As far as I can say as someone who identifies as neurotypical, I usually assume such remarks as being said by people who are neurodivergent who are self-identifying by the content they encounter and how they want to present themselves, so I hesitate to interject with what I see or read: if it’s a for-us by-us situation, I don’t think I’m in a position to criticize, unless it becomes particularly egregious.

In response to more specific examples that you are giving:

Again, when it’s nonchalant, I usually anticipate the person speaking is neurodivergent themselves.

I think attributing neurodivergent diagnosis is mostly harmless, although it still runs the risk of getting wrong traits to conditions, romanticizing those traits in the characters and by extension the risk of attempting an amateur diagnosis on real-life people and therefore romanticizing what real-life people are going through.

The reason I think it’s mostly harmless is that it is trying to figure out those aspects of these conditions by interpreting literature and writing your own stories--to see how the aspects of characterization fit together leading to an understanding about this character and maybe about the condition itself. But even if the intentions are mostly good, if the results are perpetuating stereotypes, or misdiagnosing, or impeding on a real person’s privacy and diagnosing them, then the intentions don’t matter, the results were bad.

I don’t think anyone who is neurodivergent is using neurodivergent attributions of fictional characters to be trendy. I do see some irony in it--again, a for-us by-us approach that those within a community appreciating themselves and being self-effacing as a way to respond to what it is like being neurodivergent. And it’s a way to identify, whether to see yourself in something you’re familiar with, to have it make sense for yourself, or to show someone else, “Hey, this is what it’s like for me.”

All of this said, again, as someone who identifies as neurotypical but has had people derisively refer to me as neurodivergent as a way to insult me, I can see some remarks that I think, “Um, I’m not sure that’s cool to make that kind of a remark, regardless who the person making the remark identifies.” You can’t control who is in your audience--but you better know who is in your audience to minimize the risk that some jackass misunderstands your point and weaponizes it to further their disablist agenda. A creator can’t anticipate every last thing a bad-faith audience member will do to with their content, but they should take every precaution they can to minimize that chance of weaponization to harm. Again, you run the risk of romanticizing, or making people thinking they can make those kinds of jokes when they aren’t in the community. It’s a case by case basis.

Generally, I try to be optimistic that most people finding neurodivergency in characters are helping normalize neurodivergency, to treat this as who this character, this person, is, jus as they would accept such qualities in the people around them in their lives.

‘ Tulliver— ‘ her breath catches momentarily as she spots him walking further down the road toward her. ‘ What are you doing here? ‘ she breaks the silence, which in turn breaks the smile on his face as she asks such a question.

It seemed her voice was filled more with malice than kindness and happiness, though if he remembered correctly, their parting had not been on such good terms. They had heated debates a lot in the past and both said things they wish they hadn’t, but one of those moments turned into Tully storming out of their shared apartment and disappearing out of her life for almost four years without so much as a phone call.

Helene was someone who could absolutely hold a grudge for the rest of her life is she wanted to and though she was very bitter toward him now, the sight of him caught her off guard enough to prompt nerves. She remained seated on the steps at the front of her property and did not budge, even when he opened the gate and took another few steps forward.

‘ You not happy to see me, duchess? ‘ he tries on the charm, a little at a time as he notices how abrasive she is being with him at the moment and he almost wants to tell her off.

‘ The last time we were together, Tully, you called me a spoiled brat with a flower complex, ‘ she seethed these words, hissing at him and standing from her perch to head back indoors.

Tully was hot on her heels, though, muttering under his breath about saying the wrong things when he gets mad and no way at all did he mean anything he said. He closes the door behind them and follows her through to the kitchen, still listening to the constant rambling she’s got going on regarding his temper and how he needs to shape up and sort it out already.

‘ Darlin’ .. you know already I don’t ever mean the shit that comes out when we’re fighting. I never have, but you’re not all innocent here either, if I remember right. You called me a wannabe Laurence Llewelyn Bowen, who is wonderful in his own right.. but, Hel, I’m not an interior designer, ‘ he snarks, scoffing a little at the fact she would even suggest it.

‘ Tully, you paint and decorate houses for a living. Just because you don’t wear the fancy suits and talk all campy doesn’t mean you’re not an interior designer. Most people prefer the term, plus it ties everything together nicely in my opinion, ‘ she claims, finding him a cider from the fridge.

Tully accepts the drink with a forced smile, trying to adjust to the title but figuring it would always make him feel superior when he actually believed himself to be the opposite. Paint and Plus sounded like a better option to him.

‘ I think we’re getting a little off track here, Hel. How about we discuss these last few years and see where we’re at, ‘ he pipes up, breaking the rising tension that always went down with the pair of them and he figured it was a zodiac thing.

Both of them are fiery and neither backs down from a fight, so he chose that moment then to stop it in its tracks before he’d have to leave once more. Given the trip he had taken to get here, he didn’t much feel like doing that. New York to England was one hell of a trip he didn’t fancy taking twice in a day.

‘ Fair enough. I’ve set up my own little florist by the shore and I’m now living here in this two bedroom house about fifteen minutes from my old man. I kept getting visits for a while from that jackass Joel even though we broke up years before you and I even met.. and whenever he showed up he beat me and sometimes took money.. and I have a dog, Pippin, ‘ she rants the bulk of her life story at him before hitting pause.

‘ Helene— ‘ he begins, stepping forward and cupping the side of her face with his hand, ‘ I’m so sorry you’ve dealt with that. Never understood men who can do that so effortlessly and not beat themselves up over it.. I hope he’s long gone now, ‘ eyes shine with fresh tears as he almost weeps for her.

The woman leans into the touch as though she’s been missing it all these years and, truth be told, she has, despite the fights and the bickering. She knew that Tully never would strike her no matter the circumstances and as she stepped further into his space, she lifted her arms to wrap them around his frame, feeling his own tug her closer and breathe in her scent.

‘ Where is this dog of yours? ‘ he asks, breaking the silence to figure out why the house was so silent.

‘ My best friend, you remember Col? She’s taken him out for a walk for me. I’ve only been home about 20 minutes so she stops by everyday before 4pm to take him to the park, ‘ she answers, smiling fondly at the change of subject. ‘ So, what about you? Do you have your own place, a dog? ‘ she adds.

‘ I’m still in our apartment back in New York, ‘ he admits, that familiar sheepish look dancing across his face as she laughs and pulls him in for another long embrace. ‘ No dogs, never did get around to that.. but I did have a hamster for a month or two and then he passed. His name was Cookie, ‘ he chuckles.

‘ I’m sorry about Cookie, I bet he was fun. I had a hamster when I was little.. used to run around her cage like lightning and whenever I would let her roam the room, she was just as fast. I think their little hearts give out far too soon from all that fast paced living they do, ‘ she laughs a little at the idea.

‘ Yea.. much too fast for their tiny little bodies, ‘ he agrees, his calm and collected attitude rubbing off on her now as he sees she is relaxing more in his presence. ‘ Helene.. would you have dinner with me? ‘ he asks, bracing for a resounding no.

‘ Of course I will, Tully, ‘ she offers, blushing a soft hue of pink and just about having enough time to catch her breath before he pulls her in once again, only this time, he moves in for a kiss instead of an embrace and she reciprocates.

Fletcher Van Hall is an SF native and only child to older parents who couldn’t really do much with him, because he was a mouthy wild child and got into a lot of fights in his adolescence. His parents tried various forms of discipline and punishment but Fletcher continued to act out–fueled further by his parents quickly giving up on him and sometimes insulting him. When his parents really couldn’t take anymore of his behavior and the consequences that came with it, they made him go live with his uncle–who wasn’t drastically younger than his parents but connected with Fletcher and could level his bone-headedness.

His uncle Drew owned The Ink Tank–the tattoo parlor that Fletcher now runs and works at. His uncle has 2 kids of his own but they’re ungrateful, greedy jackasses (there’s really no polite way of describing how they are, more often than not). Nearly everything Fletcher learned about tattoo artistry, he learned from his uncle and he’s been really proud to keep the shop open and successful. Prior to getting to actually work on body art, Fletcher had been working as a bouncer at a local club–an apprenticeship at The Ink Tank during the day, and monitoring a Castro club at night. Art, particularly drawing and tattoo design gave Fletcher an outlet and purpose, which grew to be his passion. This helped him calm down significantly, even though his lack of filter and combative nature still get him caught up in conflicts from time to time.

His uncle Drew was running and working in the shop until he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. He still hangs around the shop and is very much the father-figure Fletcher’s needed in his life. Drew’s own children don’t have the best relationship with him and have been pushing for him to close the shop–essentially putting Fletcher out of income–ever since his diagnosis. He’s refused, having seen Fletcher’s success with the shop, on top of his own pride in the shop’s long-standing legacy in SF.

Today, Fletcher has relationships with his crew at The Ink Tank, his uncle, and a handful of people he actually considers friends. He can’t stand his cousins but occasionally puts up with them (as much as he can manage) for his uncle’s sake whenever they come around. As far his parents go, he has next-to-no relationship with them. They’ve called to wish him Happy Birthday, and inconsistently contact him around the holidays, but that’s about it. When it comes to romantic relationships, Fletcher identifies as panseuxal and has had romantic relationships of varying kinds–from casual hookups and dating, to a few serious relationships over the year with people of different genders, but mostly women. His last relationship ended August 2022 after almost a year of being together with his ex. He hasn’t been actively looking but hasn’t closed himself off from relationships either. Most of his focus these days has been on the shop and his uncle.

Tag 9 People You’d Like To Know Better!

Favorite color(s): Black, red, electric blue, white, though I like all colors.

Reading: I read manga occasionally, but I mostly check out classic novels like Bram Stoker’s Dracula or read books like the Iliad. Or collections, like that one book containing every work of Edgar Allan Poe. Older works have always been my thing, and if you’re not seeing me read any of that, it’s books on historic weaponry and 2000+ page books on how things work. It’s fun for me.

Last song: Vaporwave remix of Bloodlines from Rondo of Blood. While it’s supposed to be a high-energy action track for the opening level, slowing it down makes it fantastic to write to. Either that, Stalker by the Megas, or Poisonous Shadows by Megadeth.

Last series: Netflix’s Castlevania last October. I’ve watched fragments of this and that, like School Rumble with Bear. More of a gamer than a show guy.

Last movie: One of the Jackass movies. Marathoned the series with Bear and others after watching Jackass Forever. Again, more of a video game guy. Watching movies and shows alone is boring to me.

Sweet/spicy/savory: Sweet. I drink a can of Coke a day, my favorite thing to get from the local farmer’s market is kettle corn, and I live down the road from a pizza place that sells deep fried Oreos covered in powdered sugar. I’d probably give a vampire diabetes.

Currently working on: Trying to get a job (I’ve sent in 120+ applications in the last three months through several websites), taking care of my younger sister and things around the house, getting my 3D printer to work, getting a little recording booth set up since I’ve got friends that want me to VA for their college game design project, and trying to find ways to make any kind of money.

I'm having a bad case of writer's block which means that my project on analyzing what kind of characters some of the more important mythological figures could be if introduced to Kid Icarus is currently on halt - but while waiting for the block to end, I thought it would be funny to post some of the more ridiculous notes and stuff I've written:

A child plot device who could easily be removed from the story and nothing of value would be lost VS Aphrodite's stolen mirror VS Palutena's polished bronze shield

Values dissonance is one hell of a drug and past is another country, to put it simply

I ranted because Divinepedia doesn't know what an Aegis is

I ranted over syncretism because it made things so unnecessary hard

I ranted over the word demigod because the definition of it isn't consistent

I noted that stuff like venatio, gladiator fights and damnatio ad bestias are probably things in this universe, which is funny in a morbid kind of way - Magnus and Gaol would probably participate in those while Pit has a heart attack in the background

History/Background:

Having two children of a god- let alone one of the big three- is dangerous to themselves and everyone else, so Percy and Darcy were separated as infants. The gods left Darcy in Idaho, where she grew up in the foster system, kicked from home to home for causing problems (attracting monsters) and trying to run away- as well as her anger issues. At 13 years old she ended up with a doomsday mormon cult family that was convinced she'd been possessed/cursed by the devil and that they could fix her.

Darcy ran away after one night became too much, met the two huskies that the gods had sent to protect her, and learned that she was a demigod. She was skeptical at first, until she could see the monsters that came for her and fought them. The huskies were named Tsunami and Hurricane, and they protected her as she escaped into the woods of the American North.

She learned of Camp Half-Blood, and the potential of finding her family and why they left her, and traveled there. She fought monsters along the way, and lost Hurricane to a bunch of hellhounds. She finally made it to camp half-blood, and started fighting with the Poseiden kid until one of their fights almost tore the camp in half and flooded it- it was then Poseiden finally claimed her.

Personality

Personality: Wrath is the walking form of 'if looks could kill'. To be the barer of the sin of wrath, it is surprisingly calm and not one to immediately jump into conflict. When it is worked up, however, all hell breaks loose. It has a surprisingly big heart for that sin as well, willing to take on all the responsibility of everyone's safety against anyone or anything. Emotions are not Wrath's forte, seeing as it had been taught to suppress them from a young age but it has worked on better expressing itself, throughly interested in the emotions it can feel and how far those feelings can go. In pair with not being good with its feelings, it doesn't express them too much as a means of intimidation, it wants strangers to be weary of it, and in turn of its family, as a means to protect them. While having a stronger build due to its powers, Wrath is extremely skillful and agile, very light on its toes mainly from its days before it was sin barer of wrath. While not popping up all the time, Wrath can be extremely sensitive especially with its past as it can remember every fight it has gone through, every face of every child its fought (and killed), every outcome of the fights, on those days it tends to be more secluded and moody, though it tries not to make it obvious not wanting to worry its family. It has a photographic memory.

Relationship With Other Characters

Envy "Raven": One of Wrath's best friends and one of two sins that it's willing to be a little more open with in regards to its insecurities and fears, Wrath refuses to let anyone hurt a hair on Envy's head and it dares anyone to try, it is willing to take Envy's vents, even going as far as to provoke his anger just to help his mood, letting him wrestle with it.

Pride "Athena": Sees Pride as its little sister making it protective over her, especially as it saw Envy and Pride practically glued to the hip when they all were children, it enjoys letting her fuss over its hair and outfits, gladly going along with whatever she wants to put it in.

Greed "Lux": Has a bad tendency to regard Greed like an immature child, often expecting him to break his toys and whine about it afterwards that said, Wrath does find something endearing about it, truly seeing Greed as it's baby brother.

Gluttony "Nyx": Like all the other sins, Gluttony was the youngest sibling it grew up with for a while, so that automatically makes it a lot more protective of her, this is where it's big sibling tendencies shine the brightest.

Sloth "Salem": The Yin to Wrath's Yang, Salem gets to see all sides of Wrath, except for its utter rage (something Wrath thankfully doesn't feel much of these days and is something it doesn't want to show Sloth, worried it will either hurt or scare them), the two balance each other out extremely well, Sloth being the only person that can quickly calm it back down.

Lust "Darcey": More often than not, these two do not get along, Wrath sees Lust as an annoying nuisance, and while Lust doesn't have a thing against Wrath himself, he definitely doesn't help his case by teasing it, that said Wrath still will not tolerate slander against Lust's name and is more than ready to protect and defend him.

Cain: Cain and Wrath do not always see eye to eye, that being said, Wrath is more than prepared to step up to defend Cain against anyone taking it as 'no one gets to say you're a piece of shit except for the people that live in this house', and Cain does hold plenty of endearment towards Wrath himself, finding its wrathful and even violent tendencies entertaining at times.

Abel: Abel was another adult that helped Wrath with its emotional regulation, while not quite to the extent Satan is due to Abel being a rather gentle soul, he was the best adult to calm it down, especially when it was still young, even now as an adult when it feels itself growing agitated but it's usual sources of comfort are busy with their own things, Wrath will be content to go and be simply held by Abel for a short time to settle itself.

Satan: While these two started off extremely rocky, they have an amazing relationship now, Satan helping teach Wrath some kinds of emotional regulation and ways to calm its anger, Satan is the one adult it feels understands its feelings and can help it the best.

Freyja: Sees Freyja as a part of the family, wholeheartedly, it doesn't think there could be anyone to better fit in with their ragtag bunch, and suit Pride so perfectly, that said it is a creature of few words towards her, not that Wrath is much of a talker to anyone.

Mina: Wrath throughly impressed and interested about Mina, seeing as it was one of the first to see that she was a lot more sneaky and clever than she let on, and then being able to survive Greed and his temper tantrums, it will playfully dismiss her as just as childish as Greed seeing as she is his 'playmate' but there obviously is a lot more respect for her than it let's on.

Achilles: Just like Amityville, it automatically took Achilles somewhat under its care, it's not the most present mentor but it is very willing to teach Achilles what it can, especially in regards to his demon powers having seen all of it in Hell, it was the first to point out that his wings are a weapon and not just in the sense they allow him to fly, it also offers what it can in regards to emotions controlling one's physical strength and how to balance the two out.

Amityville: As mentioned, Wrath became somewhat of a mentor to Amity, just as it is for Achilles, also teaching her about her demon powers especially in regards to her tail which also is not just there for decoration, it got to know Amity a little bit easier due to them having a lot of one on one time during the nights, with them both being night owls, it helps out whenever and wherever it can also in regards to emotions, it may not be good at expressing its own but there's no denying it has done its studying.

Backstory

Wrath was born to a woman, Clementine, who wanted children but was unable to have any, leading her to make a deal with an incubus who promised her a child, what the woman didn't realize was she was signing away her life. As soon as she became pregnant, she was locked away in Hell by said incubus. The pregnancy was rough and resulted in Lucias. The first year was as normal as things could be in Hell, but by age two, Lucias had its natural demon abilities peeking through as well as advancing far past the average human two-year-old making its father, Frollo, decide it was time for some 'fun'. He signed Wrath up for a local fight in Hell, 'kid fights' as they were called where demon children of all ages fought each other often times to the death, but at the very least severe injury. From there, that was what what its life consisted of. Training and fighting. It's only break from the horrific cycle was the nighttime, the only time Clementine was able to see her baby. She'd hold it close and soothe it to sleep with talk of the human world and what it was like, sometimes singing lullabies to it, sometimes random facts, stories, whatever she could think of at the time. This, tragically, came to a hard stop when Frollo finally fully drained Clementine of her life-force. He locked her away from Lucias and he forced it to continue fighting for his and other Hellish beings amusement. This was its life until it was about 11 when Cain and Abel got ahold of it. It being framed almost as a kidnapping Lucias was extremely weary of them at first, when it became immortal it took the illness better than most of the other kids, going practically comatose through the first day and sleeping it on and off through the second. Once better was when it first attacked Cain, but with Abel helping talk it back down, Lucias was able to begin its road to being the sin barer of Wrath. It first met Sloth when Cain and Abel brought home their limp body. Wrath was immediately fascinated and infatuated, often sneaking into the room even when not allowed. It was practically glued at the hip once it was able to be.

Extra Information

It's immortality tattoo is placed on the very center of its back, right on the spine which is said to be the most painful spot.

Wrath was originally named Abraxas by its parents, but when Cain and Abel found it, it came up with the first name it could and that eventually stuck. Wrath doesn't mind as it feels this seperates it from it's dad.

It has a scar on its right hand in the shape of a bite mark which it got from when it bit Cain upon still being new to the House of Mysteries.

Is (currently) the only sin that I've adapted to the Netflix version of Sandman, Lucias being a living embodiment of wrath made in order to keep the Waking world's wrath at bay.

While being Satan's sin barer of Wrath, Wrath also is the ruler of the Anger ring of hell.

During its time as a fighter it has seen children like each of the sins die, sometimes even by its own hands.

It has two full on fangs in place of its canines.

When it and Cain get into altercations (very rarely does it happen) both more try to restrain the other into submission more than hurt the other seeing as Cain's mark means Wrath gets hurt seven fold and Wrath is strong enough to cause a lot of physical hurt to Cain, neither want to see the other hurt though.

Despite how they look, Wrath's horns have a kind of velvety texture to them, it's also a bit of a pleasure spot for it in the same response a cat gives to being pet.

Wrath's powers include super strength and super stamina, it also has some lower grade demon powers like energy manipulation but it's been so long since it has used it that it would take some time and energy for it to tap back into it.

A very distinct speech pattern of Wrath's includes skipping letters in its words (some examples I've done in my writings include: 'nimals, suppose', and what're).

Has a love hate relationship with fire.

It's adoption day is celebrated August 5th.

It was the second child obtained but is the oldest in age.

Little Soldier is its special nickname from Cain and Abel, neither are really sure who started it but it simply stuck.
