How Do You Do, Fellow Humans?

Now, Fright Knight is a very experienced ghost. He's served millennia, gone through the whole ordeal that was Pariah Dark, tolerated the Observants, and generally has a large area of competence.

But perhaps he should expand his skillset.

As he was guarding an outing of the Royal family, his Queen had inquired of his pastimes. He had answered with his duties.

"I mean, you should definitely get out some more, dude. Chill a bit. Not in the Far Frozen sense."

The Princess had agreed, saying that traveling would be quite the eye opening experience for him

His Queen assured him that the royal family could suffice without his presence "for a year or two, just make sure to visit."

So the Knight of Autumn sets out to find a mortal settlement that will work. He comes across Gotham City and its respective city spirit, Lady Gotham. She graciously invites him in, and he vows to remember her contribution. She merely gives an amused smile.

Within Gotham City, Fright Knight comes across a mortal woman controlling plant life, and even if subconsciously, follows her due to the familiarity to another ghost the Queen had "known."

She has a rendezvous with another mortal woman, and they go inside a house/haunt that radiates their love. Fright Knight stands outside of it for a week straight, attempting to deduce a way for him to meet them.

Harley, on the other hand, had just opened the door at like, 2:48 in the morning and her hyenas shoot straight out the door and around the house, barking. They jump around the legs of- a giant suit of armor? Really? Just staring at the wall, is it?

Gotham, truly, is delightful.

I love how you draw Grim the size of a small cat. It genuinely blows my mind that according to the game he's actually approximately 70 cm tall... Like, Ortho is 148 cm. That's only two Grims! If Grim stands on Ortho's head, they'd be just a bit taller than Malleus (who is 202 cm and I'm not sure that's counting the horns)! The proportions are just so wild to try to imagine realistically... (and I do like the small cat Grim take more, it's very endearing)

every time I remember Grim is actually supposed to be the size of, like, a medium-to-largeish dog, and then I just...draw him cat-sized anyway. I also think it's cuter that way! 🤷 (let's just say he's not allowed to ride the servant unless he takes the shrinking potion first.)

ultimately I figure we all get a little artistic license in our fanart, and mine are:

Donald Is Entering the FO stage of FAFO And Oh Boy He Don’t Like It, Part Number A Lot:

The Very Stable Genius, less than 24 hours after agreeing to comply with the order not to post sensitive material, threaten witnesses, or otherwise commit more crimes while out on bail, posts a threatening message on Truth Social ("IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I'M COMING AFTER YOU!")

A few short hours later, Jack Smith and Co. file a request for a protective order, aka preventing Trump from blabbing about anything he might receive from the government in the discovery phase, by citing said threatening post as Example A that he cannot keep his fucking mouth shut;

Judge Chutkan agrees, gives Trump until 5pm on August 7 (Monday) to respond;

Trump tries his usual bullshit delay tactic by asking for 3 more days + oral arguments, which would push it back even further;

Jack Smith immediately files a counter-request for NO delay, including this absolute gem of legal snark:

Trump, flailing, insists the threatening Truth Social post was actually directed against something something the Koch brothers and other people he thinks are RINOs (this was, of course, nowhere stated and is as usual total bullshit);

Does he know one of the Koch brothers is dead? Unlikely

Judge Chutkan cursorily denies Trump's request for said delay; his legal team still has to respond by 5pm on Monday;

Trump has a Sad;

Did he learn anything, though? Of course not; he's now attacking Mike Pence;

If he keeps this up, he WILL be in violation of his bail conditions and at this point, it's pretty certain that if necessary, Smith would request the court to order him held in custody until trial;

If that happens a) I demand a live feed and b) all of a sudden, Trump would be begging for a speedy trial;

Please proceed, motherfucker.

This red gown was first worn by an extra in the 1952 film At Sword’s Point. Because it was worn by an extra, there is a good possibility that the gown originated from an earlier production, though this has yet to be determined or spotted. The costume was worn again on Barbara Steele as Elizabeth Bernard Medina in the 1961 film The Pit and the Pendulum. The gown was seen the very next year in Jack and the Giant Killer on Anna Lee as Lady Constance.

happy fuck the rose and you as well sunday! in honor, I am posting my thoughts about the line in pump shanty, because god do I have thoughts!

there are no rose reds at that point, right? they're fleeing the wedding. The only Rose explicitly in canon is... Rose. Snow's sister, who's just been kidnapped. Even for Greyditch, this seems... a little insensitive, to say the least.

But! There's also the phrasing. It's not "fuck Rose." It's "fuck the Rose."

See also Our Boy Jack. "When the red Rose, it comes a'marching," and "when the Rose comes over the water." Now, these could very concievably both refer to the Rose Reds, but consider: what if they don't?

What if the Rose is an established Crown insignia? Greyditch isn't saying fuck Rose, he's saying fuck the Crown. This makes a lot more sense in context.

This leads me to believe that Rose was named for the Crown symbol, which. Adds whole new layers to everything that happens to her. Woman destined from birth, by her name, to be a tool for Cole. I think her parents saw her red hair (the Crown’s color) and named her for it, in the hopes she’d continue their family’s legacy of serving the king. And she did, and every one of her clones did, to hundreds of thousands of deaths…

#this also plays nicely with Travis gunpowderdtim’s headcanon that giants in our boy Jack refers to the rose reds #as in giants is a slang term/slur for them #but that’s not terribly relevant to the main point of Rose vs The Rose #she never had a chance really…#the mechanisms #the mechs #ouatis #rose ouatis #once upon a time in space #my meta #don’t even get me started on her family legacy and WHY they’re one of the noblest families….#or rather my headcanon for why they are
