damn... kinda mad i didn't die in my dream last night... could've added another method to the list

#all that 'oh god im gonna die' dream stress for Nothing smh #got stabbed... i mean it was kinda my own damn fault but also was it? was it.#it was absolutely fault when the blade had to be removed but yk. didnt die so it was whatever #shaking a fist at last night's dream like COWARD!!!#what was Interesting though was upon waking up #i was still kinda dozing and i held my position #and i was very careful moving as to not jostle the knife. Not Realizing Yet. that that was a dream and was now awake #there is no knife in ba sing se #but damn. gnarly #usually i dont have to go through the whole 'coming to terms with my imminent demise' in these sort'a dreams #its typically Fast #the longest dream-death ive ever had was that one where i got shot #but even that wasnt That long #its just that the others are usually immediate. and non-wound based #absolutely unprompted #sorry to dream post but Hey tumblr blog is my personal diary. To Me <3 #its weird tho that this is the second time ive had a death or death-adjacent dream #where i woke up convinced that it was Real #knife wound.... legit asking myself if im dead after another... fun stuff!#these dreams are very interesting. in a morbid way i enjoy them

To Walk A Mile In Each Others Shoes: The Ranchers

Summary: The soulbonds have consequences, and for some they are more welcome than others. Tango and Jimmy Edition

Characters: TangoTek & Solidarity Gaming

Word Count: 370

General Note: I'm posting these as separate one-shot style posts for each soulbond pair. They are all written but I have them queued up and spaced out. All posted will be on this blog under the tag "to walk a mile in each others shoes" and also on my AO3, which is linked on my pinned post.

Tango notices the itching first. A creeping sensation at his hairline and in-between his shoulder blades. At first he thinks its just sweat and dust, the normal byproducts of the work he and Jimmy are putting into building and populating their ranch. It takes him an embarrassing amount of time to realize that it isn't.

It's feathers. Sprouting in his hairline and down his back, fewer than Jimmy's, but in the same places, an unmistakable mirror of downy fluff and a few scattered emerging pinfeathers.

The itching gets worse and Jimmy shows him how to use pressure and cold to relieve it. Tango doesn't seem to have the ability to make the oil needed to keep them healthy, so Jimmy uses his own, flustered and rambling the whole time he shows Tango how to work it into the feathers.

They feel better after, though still itchy. An odd sensation of growth against his skin.

The pinfeathers never get the chance to open up.

(He never connects the dots, doesn't really register the weird sensations of deja vu, the vague sense of Knowing what is about to happen right before it does. And even if he had, he probably wouldn't have realized where they came from.)

Jimmy doesn't notice until the ranch burns.

He knows a lot of people would probably make a joke about his obliviousness there, but in his defense he doesn't usually stick his hands into fire.

Until the ranch burns and Tango is raging and Jimmy is trying to put out two fires at once, both of them more literal than advisable.

The ranch burns and Tango burns and Jimmy reaches into the flames and pulls him out and it doesn't so much as singe his skin.

One things avians and netherborn have in common, Jimmy learns, is that they are always cold. Hollow bones and Nether-nature equally out of place on the ground of the Overworld. But netherborn produce heat, warming the air around them. Jimmy can't get as hot as Tango, no shimmer over his hand no matter how hard he strains and stares, but Tango says its enough he can feel it.

They may not have many nights in the game, but at least they can keep each other warm.

Is there anyone in da2 you think could be genderswapped to achieve balance?

i'm not much for gender swaps in general i have to say. like for some characters i can see it but generally for me you end up with just like a whole different character. bc gender idk recontextualises everything if that makes sense. (a few characters are non-binary to me but thats not really me changing anyones gender just adding uhh spice and seasoning to whatever they already have going on. bonus pronouns as a gift for my beloveds.) i would make some suggestions of who i think would be most likely to work off the top of my head but then i thought too hard about female takes on those characters and have decided to censor my thoughts here before i act unwell. based on nothing i think fenris would be easiest to imagine for me personally and varric the hardest but i thought abt varric's shirt open look and [REDACTED]

besides da2 has the best ratio of all the games anyway it would be equal if not for seb

Bill/Fleur/Lavender

is this anything??

Lavender surviving the attack and not becoming a werewolf because that night was not a full moon but now not only is she scarred which she absolutely hates

but has to deal with all the extra emotional issues and weird changes to her body that she wasn't expecting

the random bouts of anger

the stronger sense of smell

whatever else that you think are fun side effects those are like the main two I've explored before

point is!

Everything sucks!

But while in the hospital Fleur ends up visiting her and getting attached because of the similar situation to Bill and ends up taking the poor girl under her wing and getting very very attached very fast

Like Bill looks at Fleur looking at Lavender once and is just knows what she's after and just gives in without question

like that very night is talking to Fleur like

"Alright what is the plan here?"

"We invite her to live with us at the cottage."

"And if she says no?"

"She won't"

And Bill doesn't believe that but also knows by know that he's not going to be able to talk her out of it.

And when Fleur does ask Lavender agrees with very little convincing and then it just escalates from there

the whole time Lavender is not even considering they Like her but falling for them regardless and suffering

While Fleur is already head over heels and acting it

And Bill's over here falling a lot more slowly through the similar situation

#Opm #One punch man #The most intriguing part abt opm is that you can't help but try not to think about it too seriously #Bc if you take it from literally from any other angle it goes into extremely horrific really fast #Yes Genos is a parody and deconstruction of cool shonen characters!#But he's also a teenager turned into a weapon who is so gripped w survivor's guilt he narrowed down his entire existence on revenge #Tatsumaki looks so silly and she's so arrogant!#She's so traumatized! I don't even know where to begin! Also she has a messed up pov of relationships and herself!#Garou is self explanatory!#Haha Saitama is such a relatable silly goofball!#Anyways the entire earth is in his mercy on whether or not he can keep himself in check!#Oh wow opm's world is like how in typical shonen when the mosnter of the week shows up!#Oh god there's a new monster showing up every week and not only they're gwtting stronger. honestly its kind of wild to me it took hsr this long to make the simulated universe add ons actually count for the weekly point rewards bc it shouldve been like. obvious? they needed that? 😭 but im so happy its a thing now lmao

#like theyve typically nailed the QoL and thinking these through for the most part #its so odd this wasnt there from the get go #like it was just actively discouraging doing the swarm mode if u were low on time bc the 2 weekly clears arent exactly fast either #thank fuck its dealt w now. failing difficulty 5 on gold and gears stings nowhere near as much when im getting points for it lmao #hsr #rambles

Dream Trip: Oh that's hard. I'd love to revisit some of the places I went to while touring Europe. I'd love to see the Salisbury Cathedral with my partner, go through the Louve with him, go to the The Wallace Collection and see the swing again. Take him to the Bridge of Sighs in Venice, go to Rome and see the Fontana di Trevi just as the sun starts to set. I had such amazing experiences while touring Europe and I'd love to share them with my partner.

I've been thinking abt it for a while, but I think there's a chance I might draw n stream it? I just did a lil test, so ik how to stream on mobile. I'll do another check to see if I can see chat at the same time. I'm very curious abt it, so maybe it'll be a one time thing, maybe it'll happen more often. I am unsure.

I'll run many tests and then maybe. If I do go through and stream, I'd say normal times would be around 3-5pm my time (aedt).

laptop surgery again: swapped disks, normal boot!!! success!!!

#tütensuppe #its so fast!! im love #fun fact i kinda wanted this to be done successfully today so i can maybe brag abt it tomorrow #also my firefox session on the laptop still has some 200 open tabs even after pruning #with the hdd? starting firefox would take like a minute #and THEN i typically had to wait another solid 2-5 minutes for it to be usable and fetch all the tab data #i just started it it was there and usable within seconds!!#opening an mp3 file would also typically take like a minute #now? barely seconds #with some luck the hdd heating up was also what caused the wifi to malfunction and it wont happen again..

of all the episodes in season 7, “the strategy”, and especially the final scene affected me the most on this rewatch. don, peggy and pete discuss how to brand the family restaurant, and the discussion seems to be pretty strictly limited to just the marketing. and then the camera starts zooming out, and we see the three of them surrounded by families, and the restaurant looks like a child’s drawing of a house

i wonder if the characters had the same realisation that the viewer does in that moment. even though they only know each other through work, they are in a way a surrogate family. these characters did forge genuine connections with each other. i like to think they did realise

#mad men #im no good at making these collage type posts but i cant get this episode out of my head #and yes i know you could read this in a cynical way its ultimately about branding a fast food chain #but thats kind of a huge theme in mad men anyway - how they tap into genuine deeply held desires to sell you stuff #the desire to be more beautiful which is typical advertising for women never really affected me #but the deeply held wish for more connections with other people? the wish for a found family? this ep really tapped into that for me
