Tradition vs Modernity vs Comradery
+ context & lore:
In the first drawing, Fernando is wearing a capote de paseo, which is what bullfighters wear before the match begins, as seen below:
In the second, Seb is shouting the very familiar "Olé" which is shouted by the crowd to praise the matador. He's a little brat, so of course he's yelling it for himself, but he did get many 💐
The third(which was a random sketch I had that I didn't think I'd finish tonight, so ignore if its messy) has very important context to me. Before going to the final act and killing the bull, matadors dedicate their montera(hat)(and symbolically: their kill) to a a specific person in the audience(or just the public as a whole.) Seb and Fernando are finally in the same color! Seb is bowing!!! And Fernando is honoring Seb!!!! Also ignore that I drew Seb's post-retirement hair. Though, maybe this drawing is supposed to represent Fernando making a dedication to his now-gone rival 😔(Seb: stop telling people im dead!)
Now, some more lore :D
So I talked about this in my last matador post but I'll expand more. I think it's very funny to characterize Fernando in this au as this fun-hating traditionalist. Because you have to understand; he's only this way when it comes to Seb. Because you absolutely KNOW he was doing silly, unserious shit back when he was younger. But absolutely god forbid Seb do anything silly.
It's very ironic because there literally is a part in the third act of a bull fight where it's basically encouraged to be a bit silly. This is a tad morbid, but basically right before they deliver the killing blow, some show their mastery over the bull by doing some superfluous action(ex. kissing the bull, kneeling in front of the bull.) There's some guy who literally would lean on the bull and mime taking a call. But anyways, Seb would def do this. I've not been able to draw it exactly how I want, but he would bend down and do his little bull horn symbol and mime charging at the bull. (Fernando, trying to make up reasons to hate Seb: oh my god, look at this blatant disrespect, look how he is disrespecting the bull, I cannot believe how rude this boy is!)
Also there's something to be said about how the matador shows mastery over the bull by kissing it or bowing to it...and Seb is technically the bull in this au and Fernando is the matador. There's just this unfortunate level of weird power inbalance that still lingers even though their rivalry is over and can't be affected anymore. There was no succinct answer about who truly was better because Seb was forced out of it. So there's always gonna be this level of "is he just pitying me? Is he just mocking me? Is he just patronizing me?" on Seb's part whenever Fernando praises him or makes dedications to him. And Fernando's always going to be haunted by the fact that there's no answer to who is truly better because he'll never know if Seb had reached his full potential or not. Anyways, they also have nasty sex while wearing their costumes and do weird bull/matador roleplay :)

Translator's notes:
This song is FIRE!! Till now, the this song has the most views among all teasers posted for the new -Block Party- albums with 500k views while most other songs only have 200k. And I really understand why!! It is super catchy and has that classic J-Rock sound to it. The band who wrote this song, WANIMA, is super popular in Japan as well. Please check them out too if punk rock is your thing!
Kuko and Jiro have such great chemistry here, and it's the kind of song that makes you feel very energetic. Absolutely love this song, I think it's probably the best from the two new album. Some of the lines are rather vague though, and I haven't checked out the drama track yet, so I don't know if the drama will give us more context. I will edit this post if I find out my interpretation was wrong xD

Wait, there's male mewmews? Normally I'd be hyped about that but the fact you put them in the worst designs category concerns me 😟
Yep, they are indeed a thing! It's Tokyo MewMew Ore/Olé (Au Lait)!
The reason why I put them under the Worst Design category was because their designs were severely disconnected from the main series' heroines, not to mention how they're much more revealing, too.
And here's what I could gather from this series (FYI: the series' Wiki has almost NO information about the series):
It wasn't done by Mia Ikumi or Yoshida Reiko, but rather someone named Seizuki Madoka, and I guess that explains a lot about the designs already;
The male MCs are indeed infused with endangered animal DNA, but they're NOT named after food. Instead, they're named after japanese train stations (SHIBUYA Aoi, YOYOGI Shizuka, KANDA Ryusei, HIROO Taichi and ROPPONGI Ayato);
There are other characters named after food: ANZU ("Apricot") Hinata and her aunt NATSUME ("Jujube"/"Red Date"), but they're powerless civilians, playing the roles of Shirogane and Keiichiro;
The villains are still the Aliens/Cyniclons, and are named after drinks (MOCHA, LATTE and CHAI);
When asked if the series is canon to the main story and about possible cameos of the main heroines, Madoka-sensei just answered with a "It's a secret".
In my honest opinion, Au Lait would've worked better if it were its own original story, instead of a Tokyo MewMew ensemble; it's just too divorced from the main series and it kinda ruins the immersion and familiarity of it all.

Listed: Water Damage
Water Damage plays a thick and noisy variety of drone, favoring looooooong compositions that the band refers to as “Reels”; on Water Damage’s most recent LP, 2 Songs, you get two reels, subtitled “FUCK THIS” and “FUCK THAT” (band’s caps). All those verbal antics feel appealingly playful, but the music is deadly serious stuff — not surprising, given the players involved. Members of this septet also play in Austin-associated bands like USA/Mexico, Marriage and Spray Paint. As the band’s moniker suggests, the music is patient, persistent and often insidious. Here's some music the band has been listening to.

New to me when it was reissued and the record I’ve played most since then. It feels as huge to me as it does microscopic — prehistoric as it does post-apocalyptic.
Jon Hassell — Aka/Darbari/Java: Magic Realism (1983, E.G. Records)
Start to finish, I don’t know of anything else that sounds like this — the hazy atmosphere and way the rhythms tumble. From the liner notes: “a ‘coffee-colored’ classical music for the future.” And the cover is by the same artist who did the cover for Bitches Brew.

I heard this one for the first time just this past year. I can’t believe I’ve missed it. By turns raw and beautiful, honest and evocative, what’s here transcends genre while highlighting Black experience and struggle. Incredible work.

Clipse — Hell Hath No Fury (2006, Star Trak / Re Up Gang Records)

The most engaging rap record in history as far as I’m concerned. Pusha, Malice, and the Neptunes peaked. Sonically HHNF is minimal and alien sounding, almost nonmusical at times. Lyrically, it’s bleak throughout and incredibly funny at times (some of the best punchlines ever recorded). At 12 songs and 48 minutes with only a few guests and skits, there is no fat whatsoever.
Remarc — Sound Murderer (2003, Planet Mu)

I’m always looking for cheap electronic records at every record store. Mid 1990s Jungle scores are the best. It’s a pretty narrow subgenre but one of my favorites. Remarc checks all my Jungle boxes — chaotic, lo-fi, dubby, rough. It’s devoid of any pretentious jazziness or techy soullessness. His formula is pretty basic — supreme mastery of The Amen and sick ragga Bass shit. This is a comp of some of his best stuff of the era when Jungle was at its best.

Omertà — Collection Particulière (2022, Standard In-Fi, Zamzamrec)

Not to point out the obvious, but France is a huge influence for Water Damage. I’ve obsessively kept up with everything they’ve done and all their various related projects and their label Standard In-Fi. This is Omertà’s second LP; the group features members of France, Tanz Mein Herz, Societe Etrange and more. The album is a vibe, I can listen to it over and over. Really interesting to hear these folks do something more ‘song oriented’ instead of the normal long-form style in their other groups. Also, you can never go wrong with two bass players.
Bumblebee Unlimited — Sting Like a Bee (1979, RCA Victor)

Always been a huge disco nerd and Patrick Adams was a genius. This one-off LP and group was about as close to perfect as you can get and is a sort of bridge between disco and house music. So much glorious repetition on this album, and the bass lines are minimal brilliance. The chipmunk-esque vocals are ridiculous, but still work so well (similar to another 1979 disco gem — Bryan Adam’s “Let Me Take You Dancing”).

This is one of the first jazz albums I heard that had two bassists on it, Reggie Workman and Art Davis, Davis being a little lesser known I think and a really really amazing bassist. This whole album is great but the first side, 18 minutes of everyone going in and out, and there is space for the bassists to get weird with arco and pizzicato playing. I’ve known this album for a long time, but it’s been played a lot lately because both my 4-year-old and 16-month-old grab this record from the shelf all the time. It’s really strange actually, I put it in a different spot each time and they still grab this record very frequently, it’s a French pressing and Reggie Workman’s name is spelled “Reggie Wokrman” and Eric Dolphy is “George Lane.”

Love this record, and the repetition is something that I often thought about as we were still figuring out Water Damage ideas. I feel like some of the newer songs that we are working on sound like extended Lungfish songs. Much of that has to do with the influence of this band on my drumming. There is a part toward the end of this interview where Daniel Higgs talks about experiencing repetition as a listener, and how there isn’t really a thing such as a repeated passage in time — that it’s unique every time… the listener is creating the pattern. That idea is foundational to me in relation to what we do as a band. Every time we play, I get lost and question how the pattern is even working.
Palace — West Palm Beach/Gulf Shores (1994, Drag City/Palace)

These two songs back-to-back are high on the list of my favorite things ever recorded. The mood here reminds me of all the rundown beach towns around the Gulf. The playing is great, it sounds like they just went in the studio and made it with very little effort. Many other recordings have that same vibe, Neil Young’s Zuma, Songs: Ohia’s Didn’t It Rain, John Coltrane’s A Love Supreme… this list could get long. I guess a technical term for that vibe is magic. I had not listened to this for a few years and returned to it recently and instantly loved it again.

Olé, Olé, Olé
A/N: Haven’t been on the baby train for awhile and I’m not completely yet but here’s a little something.

“Well, that's officially it. Done with all law enforcement entities.” Placing the guns back in their rightful places, Deeks can feel his heart rate speed up a bit. It’s the feeling he fully expected when they decided to call it quits, full-on euphoria. And it’s absolutely amazing.
“It’s kinda weird. I thought I’d be more sad.”
He pulls the gate shut and turns around meeting his now former partner’s eyes. “You do realize you have tears in your eyes, right?”
“That’s not what that’s about.” She does her best to keep the strain out of her voice but fails once she sees the worry in his eyes. Those beautiful cerulean blues.
“Don’t tell me you changed your mind.”
The brunette shakes her head, letting the unshed tears slip from her eyes as he wraps his arms around her waist, pulling her body into his. Her quickening heart rate immediately starts to slow down as his forehead meets hers. Releasing a calming breath, she’s finally able to get her words together. “I didn’t. It’s just so much of our life has happened because of this place. I never expected any of it when I joined. My sole mission was to find my dad’s killer and now I’m walking away willingly, something my 20-year-old self never imagined, with a life I never in my wildest dreams could’ve conjured up.”
“You did good, baby. Your dad would be so proud of you.”
A small smile crosses her face. “Yeah.” Something about his words suddenly hit her in the chest, and she burrows her head in his chest letting all she’s feeling come out fully. “He’s gonna miss so much…already has.”
“Oh, baby.” The former investigator can feel tears well in his eyes as she continues to shake in his arms. Pulling her closer to him, he leaves no space between them. He knew it was gonna hit her hard eventually, but didn’t expect it today.
“You know sometimes I imagine what it would’ve been like when I introduced you to him.”
“If he’s wearing an old Touching Wood t-shirt and rocking a mullet wig when I step through the door we have the same image.”
She lets out a teary-eyed laugh as the snot dripping from her nose makes its way onto his t-shirt. “It’s like we have one mind.” She quickly sobers when a new wave of sadness crashes over her. “Then there’s our wedding day, him meeting Rosa and teaching her all the stuff he taught me and…”
“What?”
“Being in the waiting room, nervously tapping his foot right along with Granger and Killbride as they wait for the baby to be born.”
He pulls back, hands flying to her shoulders as he pulls her back at the same time. Brow furrowed he feels himself being to break out into a cold sweat. “Whose baby?”
“Kensi and Marty’s.” She nervously bites her lip as the confession leaves her lips and makes its way to his ears.
“Th-those are our names.”
“Wow, you are more than just a pretty blond with an ass that won’t quit.”
His bottom lip begins to quiver as he looks for any sign that he misheard her. They’re officially done with NCIS and the moment they are the love of his life is telling him they’re having a baby? Can’t be. “Are you sure?”
This time the tears falling from her eyes are paired with the brightest smile. “As sure as the 3 tests Fatima gave me.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I was on my way to when I realized what was going on but you weren’t back from your dad Hellcat joyride with Sam yet.”
“The one time he lets me drive for fun.” Deeks shakes his head at the timing but it doesn’t stop the smile from spreading to his face, that euphoric feeling back once again.
“How are you feeling?”
A smirk plays at the corner of his lips, eyes still glassy with unshed tears. “I can probably show you better than I can tell you.”
He wraps his arms around her waist once again, pulling her into him. Their lips but a breath apart.
“Not in the armory.” Her laugh suddenly switches to a moan and his lips find the lobe of her ear. “On the other hand, one last time wouldn’t hurt. Not like they can fire us.”
XXXX
4 years later
Kensi jumps up and erupts in a cheer as does the rest of the crowd when Rosa’s foot connects with the ball and it sails into the upper right corner right past the reach of the goalie.
“GOAL!!!!”
As their daughter celebrates with her team the brunette turns to her husband whose thrown their 3-year-old on his shoulders, both boys fists pumping in the air in excitement.
“Scoring for Yale in 89th minute, number 4 Rosa Deeks, assisted by number 13 Julie Williams.”
Deeks’ cerulean eyes meet her mismatched orbs, exchanging mirroring smiles. Uncurling his fingers, he directs his hand toward his wife, waiting for a high five as his mini-me does the same. “Don’t leave me hanging, baby.”
“Yeah, mommy, don leab us hangin'.”
Shaking her head, as the whistle sounds the end of the game, she flashes her pearly whites at her husband connecting her hand with his, and after she connects with Michael’s he jumps towards her half throwing himself on his mom while his ankles are still locked in Deeks’ grip.
The former investigator huffs a laugh at the toddler's antics. “Hold on buddy.”
Once he lets go, Kensi cradles their boy in her arms and starts blowing raspberries on his tiny cheek making him erupt with laughter. He’ll never get enough of this. His mind briefly flashes to the day this beautiful, albeit sketchy brunette walked in on his op. Never in a million years did he think they’d end up here.
“Final score Connecticut Huskies 3 and your Yale Bulldogs 4. Thank you for coming out tonight and drive safely. We’ll see you for the next game this Thursday when your Bulldogs take on Cornell for the Ivy League Conference championship.”
Kensi senses Deeks eyes on her and stops her assault on their boy. She looks up, meeting his eyes and it suddenly feels like they’re back in that moment in the boat shed confessing nothing but really everything. So much trust and dare she say love swarming in both of their eyes. It all led to this…every single moment they’re shared together and apart.
They’re so lost in the other they don’t see Rosa run up with Julie until she’s calling after her brother.
“Mikey!”
“Sissy!”
Michael all but jumps out of his mom’s arms and into his sister’s outstretched ones. His tiny arms wrapping around her neck in a big hug. “You did good.”
She places a kiss on his cheek with a smile. “Thank you, bubba.”
Kensi’s heart melts more and more each time she sees them together knowing her husband feels the same. What started out in a gym got them to this. Life is…wild.
The pair exchange high fives with Julie and hugs with Rosa once Michael loosens his grip.
“You girls played an amazing game.”
“Thanks, Mrs. Deeks.”
Before Deeks can say anything one of the girls’ teammates call out to them, coaxing them to come back over. Nodding Rosa looks at her brother who’s already shaking with anticipation when he sees the soccer ball at her feet. “You wanna go kick the ball around?”
The 3-year-old pulls out the puppy eyes that are all Martin Atticus Deeks and makes sure to give a does to both his parents. “Pwease?”
“Go on.” Kensi huffs a laugh as his hazel eyes light up in excitement and flings himself from his sister’s grasp, hightailing it to the middle of the pitch.
As they run off onto the field Deeks wraps his arm around his wife’s shoulders, pulling her into his side, and places a kiss on the top of her head, taking in her scent. “Mmm. Sunshine and Cheetos. Two of my favorite things.”
“You can thank your son for the Cheetos.”
He huffs a laugh and places another kiss on the top of her head. The feel of her body shaking against his makes him grow curious until he looks up and sees their boy practicing his celebration goal as he gets one past Julie.
He can’t wipe the huge grin off his face when she turns into his chest, burrowing her face into him trying to muffle her terrifying cackle. “And you said we’d never end up happy together.”
Her laughter quickly dies off as she tilts her head back, eyes meeting as she closes the distance between their lips. “Touche.”

i must add a disclaimer this time that going through this story with gaby messed me up a little its so chaotic and not in a good way, also the narrator seems to trash on matadors ex alot (dont ask me why) with no good justification and now i just wanna give this girl a hug 😭 narrator implies that its HER fault why their relationship was so chaotic but it really isnt smh
Cutscene no.1
Matador. A cheesy Spanish weasel with an eye for the ladies. He wasn't the kind of guy you catch me watching the game with. But I wouldn't want to mess with him either. Underneath that fancy accent and those shiny outfits was one hell of a fighter. And that's no bull.
Cutscene no.2
It doesn't take much to make a hothead like Matador jealous. So when he saw his woman Dolcita eyeballing Tiny's boxing poster, he figured he'd better get in shape and fast. The next bullfighter who decided he'd take a few boxing lessons from the local champ, Tiny. This (or is it his?) first lesson would be unforgettable.

After Tiny's intensive training sessions, Matador figured he could use a little rest and relaxation. He was having a great time until El Luchador ran into him. Matador snapped and tempers flared. These two were in for a bumpy ride.

This being a fighter was hard work. Every time Matador turned around, there was another ass to kick. But it turns out, Khan had been nosing around his woman for too long. When he saw that look in Dolcita's eyes, he decided he'd give Khan a sound thrashing. Well, at least that was the plan.

He took care of Khan, now it was on to a real pro. Kid USA. If Matador won this match, Dolcita would be his for sure…or so he thought. With a prize like her, you just never know.

Well, he won the fight and got the girl. But after all the crap she put him through, he didn't want her anymore. Little Dolcita didn't take rejection too well. Enter Bronto. Looks like this chick beat Matador to the punch.

It wasn't easy but things worked out okay for Matador. He had a hell of a career in front of him and he finally got rid of that two-timer Dolcita, all through the magic of boxing.

UNFORGIVEN ALBUM REVIEW
i have so much to say about these tracks y'all the wait was worth it it always is when it's with them!! UNFORGIVEN as a title track slaps i can't overstate how amazing this turned out thank you nile rodgers this is incredible i adore the beats though i wish that for the "unforgiven girls" part, the vocals were stronger in volume and impression bc it's SUCH a hype section i can already imagine ceremonies starting with that exact part!! the melody just evokes that feeling if you know what i mean?? and yunjin's grungy voice compliments this song and its message so so well. also kkura's deep voice?? she is an icon she has always been the moment but oml zuha's wings and her lines are SO good i won't even start talking about chaewon bc y'all know how i feel about her gosh she never ever disappoints. now for manchae oml she has come so far from fearless and she's getting better and better each comeback and she's starting to solidify her presence on stage im so excited for five years down the line how she's going to turn out!! the choreo snippet from knowing bros had already surprised me so much i love love love their choreos and this one has to be one of my top threes?? anyways not to get too deep into this so im going to just keep it like this and move on. overall 9.5/10
NO-RETURN (INTO THE UNKNOWN) — the bass!! they have a signature feel-good sound to their tracks similar to this you just want to get up and jump or dance around with a smile on your face. the saxophone is that a saxophone in the chorus that took me off guard in the best way really. the brass is so cnncncbc!! chaewon and yunjin carry the vocal heavy parts and they do it amazingly like they may not be the strongest vocalists ever but they're strong in their own ways that fit le sserafim's sound so well!! overall 9/10
EVE, PSYCHE & THE BLUEBEARD'S WIFE — i know a club song when i hear one despite not ever being in one 😔😔 the beat im salivating this is my three am hallucinating dancing in the dark in my own room type of song i swear to you the verses after the first chorus has me in a chokehold. the things i would do to get to listen to this in a concert setting and ascend with the bridge and then the drum pads that come in right after like stfu. overall 9/10
FEARNOT (BETWEEN YOU, ME, AND THE LAMPPOST) — i just started writing a small fic based on this song and its vibes!! this makes me feel all sorts of things and the lyrics are straight out of a heartwarming story. this is one of my most favourite songs from this album. it's so atmospheric with the electric guitar building up to the chorus and the drum beats that kick in and their vocals. the melody is beautiful and i just can't get over the vibes. i cried while i first listened to this half an hour ago actually ;-; i don't have any single thing to complain about in this song. "i go where you go" line being given to chaewon was an amazing decision because her voice is so pure and it felt like i was pulled into another world for the brief moment she sung with the background going silent :') i think this will be one of my most listened to songs on spotify this year. overall 10/10
FLASH FORWARD — this is exactly my vibe i listen to these kinds of songs everyday all day it's just so vibey and you can strut playfully to this song down the street and sway and jam all you want and it feels like flowers of all bright colours are blooming all around you as you go!! it's like it brightens up the world around each step you take :< it's just feel-good. overall 9/10
FIRE IN THE BELLY — when i say hot damn i want to shake my hips and call my latina friends and have them listen to this. the chorus makes something in my chest feel so full with life!! reminds me of my childhood especially the olé olé olé in the background chants ugh im a little tired from all of the jumping and screeching i did within the last hour so my brain is slowing down just know that it's overall a 9/10 for me for this too
CONCLUSION i love them they occupy a large spot in my heart i can't ever dislike any song they release and i know it seems like im giving way too many compliments but i can't help it idc if it's subjective they just make good ass music ‼️

Stories From the Spine: The name of the Dé-olé-'eké people
The Dé-olé-'eké(DLK) are among the most fascinating groups across the Spine. Originating somewhere in the center of the continent's bottom half, they are thought to have formed from migrations of the southwestern Kiviki and peoples from the Alhethhair mountain range, where the Æsh tribes today reside.
While the Dé-olé-'eké language is is nearly completely distinct, there are several proposed etymologies relating it to a broader Kiviki language group, tenuously named "South Spine". One such etymology is of the Dé-olé-'eké name itself.
Early Kiviki records mention what seems to be a certain type of religious outcast called a Dilivki(pronounced Dee-Live-Key). Linguist Hans Wattsman proposed that the Dé-olé-'eké eponym, used by several groups on the Spine to identify themselves, is comes from this word. Wattsman proposes that the Proto-DLK peoples come an ancient group of Kiviki exiled forcibly for religious reasons, who grew to use the Dilivki term to self-identify.
The DLK spoken language rarely makes use of the v and w sounds, which are even forgone in its script, and it is thought that at several points in time DLK accents may have had trouble pronouncing them. Wattsman proposes that in lieu of pronouncing the v in the original word, a glottal stop looks its place. Furthermore, the shifting of the close vowel pronunciation of "ee" in into a mid vowel pronunciation in DLK is accepted as being a common phenomenon. Thus, an early version of the word may have been "Délé'eké".
The unique syllable breakdown of the word has been attributed to the formation of Pithek, an early script used by the DLK people. As a syllabary, certain words may have been recorded only approximately in Pithek and had their pronunciations shift according to it. Dé-olé-'eké is made up of three Pithek letters:
Interestingly, the second letter, "olé", is quite common in Pithek script, so the word's o sound may have been added for the convenience of using a preexisting letter.
The Dé-olé-'eké are most famous for the specific brand of magic, but understanding the magic of them, like all the magic on the Spine, requires a certain understanding of the people behind it. In hindsight, knowing how Taylor and Joe play lots of Scrabble together including online Scrabble aka Words With Friends, and how they stayed in touch largely via texting that summer, it’s very possible she was playing against Joe.
Taylor and Tom arrive in Sydney, where Tom is about to start filming for Thor: Ragnarok. (x) Aussie media, including daytime TV, goes nuts over Hiddleswift's arrival in the country. (x)
Flying from LA to Australia involves crossing the international dateline, so they would have left the US on the 6th July local time and arrived in Sydney approx 15 hours later on the 8th July local time.
Calvin's new song Olé, written for John Newman, is released. There is speculation that it's a Hiddleswift song, written from Tom's perspective and containing lyrics implying that Taylor cheated on Calvin with Tom. However, sources also told multiple outlets that the song was written and recorded months earlier, and its supposed links to Hiddleswift were just for publicity. (x) (x)

Taylor Swift really is the creative brains behind Calvin Harris' monster hit "This is What You Came For," and their relationship fell apart because he disrespected her when the song was released ... this according to sources connected with Taylor.
It's a fascinating story. We've learned an early fan rumor about the song is true, but to a deeper extent than anyone suspected. During their relationship, Taylor wrote the song, sat down at a piano and did a demo into her iPhone. She sent it to Calvin, who loved it. They both went into a studio and did a full demo with Taylor on vocals and Calvin doing the beat.
They both knew the song would be a hit, but Taylor wrote it for Calvin and both agreed it was a bad idea to let the world know they collaborated as a couple ... it would overshadow the song.
So Taylor, who kept the publishing rights, used the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg on the credits.

The problem in the relationship came the day the song was released. Calvin appeared on Ryan Seacrest's radio show and Ryan asked, "Will you do a collaboration with your girlfriend?" Calvin responded, "You know we haven't even spoken about it. I can't see it happening though."
We're told Taylor was hurt and felt Calvin took it too far.
It was a quick downward spiral from that point. One source called it "the breaking point in the relationship." The Met Gala was several days later, when Taylor danced with Tom Hiddleston.

Olé! A solid little introduction that exudes a lovely 90s aura. Sweet, short and with comprehensive and satisfying secrets, as well as well-established combat with a good difficulty curve. 3/5
02 - Salas de Debajo by El Pedersen
Rustic and simple, but effective and well designed to offer a classic experience without effective problems. Small map that will make us enjoy well. 3/5
03 - Las Vias del Tren by South American McGee
A thematic change that reminds me slightly of the old west. This is a small map that expands the complexity a bit more and gives us a quite entertaining layout with a balanced gameplay that grows little by little. 3/5
04 - El Foco by Sal Verde
A kind of level designed around drains. The Focus is a classic tribute to Doom 2 maps that like to use dirty water. 3/5
05 - Los Tuneles de Residuos by South American McGee
As a direct continuation of the previous map, but this time it opens up a more expansive design and delivers a little more variety in terms of combat, expanding the average duration by a few minutes. 3/5
06 - La Trituradora by South American McGee
South American McGee is among my favorite developed Doom, and this map is a good example of it. Fast, intense and in constant movement. The action never ends and the flow is incredible. Totally fun, that added to the fantastic MIDI makes me want to shout olé! 4/5
07 - Facil de Muertos by El Pedersen
Abstract and with a complex path system but never breaks flow. It is one of those maps that despite having some complexity / depth, follow a route so clear that the combat never stops and the fun is always a great luxury to enjoy. With intense combat based on traps, the gameplay is as dynamic as it is fascinating. Totally fun and admirable. The Pedersen knows! 4/5
08 - Trucos y Trampas by Sal Verde
Not so many traps and tricks, but a lot of acid and a few surprises here and there. A simple level that can be a bit confusing at times when you get to the last key, but it stays solid and presents a good balance. 3/5
09 - El Pozo by El Pedersen
Deep and with a few surprises. The well increases the difficulty a bit by giving us some more tactical challenges that will require prior preparation, at least slightly. It is a short map, simple but with an entertaining flow although a bit bland to see. 3/5

» Welcome, to an imaginary world where Doom is not a release made by a bunch of American nerds, but was actually released by a bunch of Spanish programmers! Delivering us one of the best cult games in history, highly inspired by the geography of Spain and carrying with it a cultural value as epic as it is magnificent. Not really. But it was made by Juan Romero, so that's epic.Doom 2 in Spain Only is, in one way or another, a mesmerizing megawad released entirely for Spain (and the world) and created by a group of Spanish guys. Supposedly. It certainly has a pretty funny, unexpected and mysterious context. This megawad came out of nowhere and took the world by storm with a classic megawad that re-imagines the classic Doom 2 maps in a new, more Hispanic context. Most of the maps, for example, bring direct or ''bad'' translations of their original names, and of course, we can see how the names of the original authors have been modified in order to bring the blood of Spanish speakers inside. Juan Romero? Somebody give him a Cacoward for the best name. So, what was once Sandy Petersen is now the Pedersen, or what was once the Icon of Sin, is now the Evil Logo. If you know Spanish, reading these names becomes part of the experience and I'm sure it will give you more than a few laughs as it did me. The sheer charisma of the idea makes this a great touch of unexpected comedy that deserves applause for the simple idea of establishing a new yet old trend, encapsulating the best of two worlds: Spanish and ''Re-imagine Doom for the nine hundredth time''. A simple concept but one that works very well under the right circumstances. From the cool titlepic to the end of the megawad when we get the ridiculously weird surprise. Spoiler: It involves mariachis. Spoiler: Those are from Mexico.As we can expect from a megawad that seeks to re-imagine the classic Doom, what we have here is a vanilla-compatible project that follows a similar scheme to the original, but changing the theme to deliver a direct translation of the names of each map to the design. So the resupply base will finally be a resupply base, and the Icon of Sin is, well, a real sin logo. It's little touches like these that deliver a solid experience, that coupled with a good vanilla map design that gets its priorities straight. The first maps follow a classic formula but deliver a slightly more urban feel, while the final ones evolve into a hellish nightmare that also contains a bit of architectural realism.The style of each map tries to evoke a bit the idea of Spanish architecture, but in a simple and modest way, of course. Part of the story takes place in Madrid so we can expect a few vague influences here and there, such as a bull rising in the skybox. A nice surprise, comical and interesting at the same time. Not bad at all! Of course, each map will follow this kind of structure so at times you may feel like you're walking through the same map over and over again. At times the design can feel a bit bland on some maps, and at times a bit lost, but there is no map that is truly bad. A select few will stand out for their unique style and introduction of interesting concepts, as well as well-balanced combat with a vanilla factor that tastes great.If you like olé, you'll probably like this, and if you like Doom 2, you'll probably like this too, and of course, if you like vanilla, then you'll love this. A classic example of a megawad that reimagines Doom 2 under a crazy but solid concept, giving us an interesting, funny and full of funny little references that fill the spirit with laughter. While the map design itself is serious, the charisma it brings lightens the concept and makes us enjoy it in a pleasant way. Olé!
