hey!! so i just wanted to come here and say that if taylor and joe have broken up (and please remember this is still a very massive IF) we as swifties should not ask taylor about the breakup if somehow presented with the opportunity, should not bring posters or wear clothing to eras tour that asks about the breakup or bashes joe, should not send joe any hate whatsoever (we have no idea of what might have happened and it is none of our business), should not pick apart her speeches or songs she performs on tour to somehow relate it to the alleged breakup (especially on social media where taylor spends a lot of time. doing this privately is okay, it is your life, but please remember that taylor does see a lot of what we post online, especially on tiktok, so please be mindful of her and her feelings!!), should not under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES make disgusting, tone deaf jokes and/or comments about the breakup (i will not hesitate to annihilate any one of you online if it comes down to it. i’m a nice person but i will not let that slide. this goes for gaylors and kaylors as well. regardless of what you believe concerning taylor’s love life it is absolutely not okay to make some of the comments being said online.)

it is perfectly okay to be sad about this and have empathy for taylor. it is perfectly okay to send her love online as most of us just want the absolute best for her. but please please please remember that taylor and joe are real people with real feelings. if they have broken up they deserve to have their space and not be poked and prodded about this, especially by those who call themselves their fans.

send them love but be mindful of their feelings and boundaries!!!! and please remember that nothing has been officially confirmed as of right now.

i honestly feel like the swifties who hadn't listened to reputation properly hates on joe now. did they not remember the things people said to taylor when she was writing reputation? do they not remember the undeserved hate she got? do they not remember the 'TaylorSwiftIsOverParty'? do they forgot the time when she was in the gym and paparazzi harassed her and she cried at the studio?

who was there to support her, when the whole world was against her? who was the person who inspired soooo many hit songs? who was there to help her write songs during lockdown? who 'even in my worst time, you saw the best in me'? who was standing with her when she released not one, not two, not threee but SEVEN ALBUMS?

does joe REALLY deserves the hate he's getting? i've literally seen so many 'he lost the great war' 'joe you better be on your guard' ect comments and something in me tells taylor wouldn't like it.

sure, they broke up and sure it broke taylor's heart and sure when we saw her crying while singing champagne problems, we had a striking suspicion why. but people come and go, that's life and taylor is probably the best person to tell you that. you can fall in love and you can fall out of love, should we, swifties, one of the biggest fandom in the world, hate someone who stood with taylor when no one else did just because he's feelings changed?

Taylor Swift dating MH, who is completely opposite of Joe Alwyn is just looking as if she wants us to know that she wants someone who is completely opposite of Joe. She is getting seen in public with Matty and everybody knows that Taylor controls when she is seen and when she is not seen. It is like she wants the world to know that she has moved on and forgotten the existence of Joe

This is quite hurtful and I am not choosing sides in the jaylor breakup, but the way Taylor is acting is quite immature. I mean MH is a racist, an islamophobic and has done so many horrendous things. Whereas Taylor is none of that. 

It is like she wants to rub it in our faces that she does not want to date a good guy. I mean MH himself once said that it would be emasculating to date Taylor. And now she is dating him. I wonder how she was even friends with him after he said that. We can’t even know how Joe must feel. 

Watching your ex move on after you have spent six years with them and your ex publicly speaking how she’s never been happy and stuff... This is just very sad. Getting a rebound is fine but a rebound with an old friend who is definitely not a good person? Either she is too sad that she is self-sabotaging, or she is just acting very immaturely. 

But still, it is her life and I don’t think she would really care if we support her and Matty.

I think one of the saddest parts about this rumor (which I will continue to call a rumor until it is substantiated by an actual named, reputable source) is the number of very young Swifties I see talking about how their faith in love is shattered.

Listen. I know we've all been brought up on this idea of happily ever afters and believing that the only real love is the one that lasts. But that isn't true. Sometimes real, deep love doesn't last forever. And sometimes it lasts but changes shape along the way.

Sometimes you look at someone you love dearly and realize "I'd rather keep you in my life in any form than lose you by trying to force you into a role that doesn't fit." Sometimes you just aren't what someone needs anymore, or they aren't what you need, and it's nobody's fault because nobody did anything wrong. Sometimes you realize it's the right person but the wrong time. Sometimes what you both want your lives to look like is just never going to line up.

If there's one thing I've learned on my relatively-short-but-longer-than-a-lot-of-you time on this planet, it's that nothing is permanent. But impermanence doesn't make a thing less real, or less worth it.
