I think i may change my icon soon. I found that icon SOOO long ago. I feel like it is time for a change.

The world was large, and I couldn't find you where we usually met up. Up on the cliff, overlooking the sparkling ocean, where we'd watch the sun set as the stars would shine down on us. I've always noticed how you'd gaze up at them so intently.
You'd teased me just the night before about how, from atop the cliff, I found the ocean to be so beautiful, yet the moment I'd get close I'd become terrified. You seemed to find it so silly, which, to be fair, it really is, but still! You know I can't swim in that!
But the shimmers... Are quite a sight.
I ran through the trees, searching for wherever you'd gone to, even though I could've instead simply assumed that you wanted to be alone that night. I knew you weren't injured, I knew you were alright, yet for some reason my legs kept moving, in a way I couldn't even remember having gone before.
It's strange. I thought I knew all there was to about our home island, I'd raced around it time and time again, and you knew that too. After all, you were there each time, running alongside me, until we'd finally tire out after sprinting for hours, or pushing ourselves too hard too fast.
Is there even really any "too fast," though?
Amy seemed to think there was, but I still don't buy it.
I continued on down a route I'd never seen, deeper into the heavily wooded area, where the ground began to slope down into what seemed to be a deeper area of the island... And soon, I came to a cave entrance. For the first time since I'd started running that night, I finally brought myself to a halt. I could barely see, and yet, the lingering scent of something... Soothing... It wafted from the cave, drawing me inside.
I bumped against rocks and walls, struggling to make my way through carefully. I think most know by this point that "careful" isn't really my thing.
But soon.... Shafts of moonlight began to pour in, as the smells guided me to another opening...
Into a grotto, I found myself walking, the strange, hidden area bathed in moonlight, and surrounding me were blooming lavenders.
That's where I found you, and it didn't surprise me a bit. From below in the grotto, one could see the moon and the stars so clearly, while being surrounded by the calming aroma of the flowers. I couldn't tell if you were awake or asleep, so I just walked over and sat down on the rocks near you and watched the flowers sway in the night breeze.
You weren't surprised either, to see that I found my way here.
"How the hell did you get through the tunnel?"
"Felt my way around, let my nose lead me."
"Chaos, you're persistent."
"Are you just now realizing this? Or is this another one of your teasing quips~?"
"Neither, just admiring your tenacity."
And we sat for the night, and this place... This place that I hadn't even known existed til that night, became where we'd begin to meet in the future. A calmer place, a place where even I felt like I could just... Lay back, relax, and not have to do anything.
We tried to come up with a name for it, but we both suck as names, so even to this day we don't quite know what to call the place. The Grotto, the Field, we always use something new and vague, as to not let anyone know where we may be. They don't need to know anyway, heh.
Apart from that, I also... Enjoy being there to see you.
It's nice to see you genuinely happy, relaxed, at peace... Especially when you always seem so tense. It's nice to enjoy something that isn't just our competitions with eachother, yknow?
...
And... I have to admit...
You look beautiful surrounded by the pale purple hues of the flowers.
With the stars shown in your eyes as you look up at the sky above.
And the moonlight shining off of you.
But don't expect me to admit that out loud, got that, faker? Yeah, heh. Not gonna happen.
