DDADDS as Content Creators (headcanons)

I don't know why I had this idea, but here you go!

have some content-creating DDADDS :3

Brian Harding

technically Brian doesn’t have a channel. Daisy just records him and posts it to TikTok.

it is all camping, fishing, and general outdoors videos. except the lawncare videos, which are actual tutorials.

Daisy actually makes these tiktoks look really nice and high-quality, even if Brian is not that good of an actor. he’s trying his best, but it actually works. surprisingly, she never really shows up on camera. it’s all Brian here

has a lot of fans of his fishing for… aesthetic reasons. yeah, aesthetic reasons. the aesthetic reason being that he is shirtless in almost all of them. and that he is obviously very confident in his body.

his lawncare videos get the same amount of views, but for vastly different reasons. all of the lawn-caring dads enter his TikTok comment section whenever he posts and they either compliment him or start discourse on which weedwhacker is the best.

surprisingly, Brian has some of the most followers out of all of the dads. he even ends up doing some lawn equipment giveaways.

Craig Cahn

it’s all fitness all day with Craig. he has a TikTok and an Instagram.

he posts a lot about his business, softball coaching, healthy recipes, and once again fitness.

he has fallen for the “can you fitness dick in your mouth” joke at least 12 times by now. he keeps falling for it. help him please

completely avoids drama not only to keep away extra stress, but also because there’s literally nothing you can really yell at him for. unless you hate his recipes

probably has a series where he tries out a bunch of popular healthy recipes and rates them on a 5-star scale.

he has a LOT of followers for a LOT of reasons. good video quality, good recipes, he’s entertaining, a good father, and all of the softball moms\dads love him.

Damien Bloodmarch

plenty of Victorian recipes, fashion, and general taxidermy. he’s got a Youtube channel and a Tiktok, but he’s more comfortable with the YouTube format.

he edits all of his videos and he’s Really, Really good at it to the point where he offers to edit videos for other dads. so he’s both a YouTuber and a freelance editor.

probably gets the most sponsorships out of all the dads

has a very welcoming and kind community that he interacts with over Tumblr and Reddit. he has a Twitter but he just doesn’t use it

his space is 100% drama-free. unless you are arguing about historical accuracy.

he has an entire series rating the historical accuracy of anything Victorian; from clothes to books to recipes and more. it doesn’t stop. he will post these forever.

he manages to make a LOT of money off of this, to the point where he gets to quit his IT job altogether and gets to have more fun.

Damien really loves getting recognized by fans and always expresses his appreciation in his videos whenever he can.

Lucien shows up in his food videos sometimes, but only to eat the food and to mildly bully him on-camera. the comments call him low-rent Gerard Way and he does Not appreciate it.

Hugo Vega

he has a small YouTube channel that consists of book reviews and nothing else. until he eventually gains more popularity, that is.

there is very, very little editing on the earlier videos and it shows. Ernest refuses to help him. all of his students refuse to help him. dadsona cannot help him. please help him. he cannot edit

he uploads very rarely (once a month, maybe twice during summer months), but his videos are actually very well-scripted and well-performed. sometimes Ernest comes in to purposefully ruin his recording session, and it works every time.

eventually he somehow manages to bag Damien as his editor, and the video quality goes up significantly from there. Damien even buys Hugo better equipment and gives him advice.

he started out covering just older lesser-known works from the 18th century. somewhere along the way, he made a single video on poorly written YouTuber books and it Exploded in popularity. that’s when he started shifting towards being a bit more of a commentary channel, with Damien’s technological help of course.

some people have called him “the old librarian version of Kurtis Conner” and he doesn’t know what it means until he looks up Kurtis Conner. then he understands.

somehow he becomes well-versed in internet discourse and makes videos about it, with full-length video essays of a pretty high quality.

he doesn’t forget his literature roots, though — he still makes plenty of content on literature and art history, even if they make less views. he enjoys doing it and that’s what matters.

he always blushes when he gets recognized in public and he is way too polite to turn down a signature or photo. one time a wrestler he likes recognized him and he almost fainted from pure joy.

Joseph Christiansen

by far the most controversial of all. (\j its Robert)

just kidding it’s all baking. his TikTok is just a gay tradwife’s dream.

the man is just trying to be hip with the kids. he even dresses up as Ken after the Barbie movie premiere and makes a cake about it. this is actually his most popular video and it gets millions of views & likes

his community is Christian. mainly because he’s Christian. just that sometimes he attracts the mean Christians. he gets a lot of hate comments from them but he just deletes them and moves on with minimal worry or stress

besides that, his community is pretty supportive and full of a combo Christian mothers and Christian queers. most of his audience are 25+ but there is a sizeable portion that is under the age of 25, so technically he got what he wanted

the videos are of a fine quality, even though he’s not really an editor. like everyone else who can’t edit themselves, he just asks Damien very nicely to edit for him

he shows his kids in videos semi-often, but it’s really just because they either mess with him while he’s recording and he doesn’t know how to edit it out, or he has them try the food afterwards. it’s a win-win scenario for the kids

Mary refuses to show her face in any of the videos whatsoever and steers clear of the kitchen whenever Joseph is recording in there.

the kids at church all know him from his TikTok but either say nothing about it or actively make fun of him for it.

Mat Sella

posts baking and recipes to TikTok, along with promotion stuff for The Coffee Spoon. it was Carmensita’s idea and he just ran with it because it’s fun for both of them

Carmensita is the one behind the camera (or tripod) while Mat bakes, and sometimes she appears on camera when she wants to try the food. Pablo helps him edit and do other promotional videos. sometimes Pablo is seen helping in the videos too.

he always gets really anxious after posting it but the second that the positive comments and likes roll in, he’s completely relaxed.

any food he bakes on TikTok he sells at the Coffee Spoon, so it’s actually extremely useful at getting people to come and buy stuff. eventually people are mostly coming over for the food but also order a coffee because “may as well”

has a very positive comments section that consists mostly of people really wanting to go to Massachusetts just to order the food and give him a kiss on the forehead.

he has been called a babygirl at least twice and he has no clue what it means. Pablo and Carmensita refuse to tell him.

has done multiple collabs with Joseph and Damien, along with sharing tips with them. they’re all internet besties.

is recognized pretty often, and he’s always in-between being an anxious mess and being a really cool chill guy about it.

Robert Small

by far the least consistent and most unhinged out of all of them, for obvious reasons. he’s a TikToker solely because the format is easy for him, but he also just uploads all of his content straight to YouTube

he either posts 5 times a day or twice a month. there’s no in between.

it will be of the most random shit. one day you get him rating brands of whiskey, and next week there’s a 12 part series of him going cryptid hunting. all of it is unedited and of very poor audio quality if he’s outside

he probably visited the Goatman’s Bridge after the Buzzfeed Unsolved and also bullied the Goatman and took the bridge for himself. the only difference is that he’s drunkenly yelling at the Goatman and calling him a bitch.

he’s always at least a little intoxicated in all of his videos, and some cases he is fully drunk. he doesn’t really put an act on for the camera, he’s really just himself, completely unfiltered.

90% of his YouTube videos are either age-restricted, demonetized, or both. some of his TikToks get taken down but he always reuploads them because he is a very stubborn old man and he refuses to stop.

Robert probably has a maximum of 200 followers. he does not respond to his comments unless someone insults his whiskey or pineapple on pizza. he also responds to weird internet slang.

he doesn’t get any sponsorships. and he never will. and he doesn’t want them. the sponsorships also don’t want him. he has made multiple videos where he goes on rants about ads and how much he hates capitalism.

whenever someone in his TikTok comments calls him a blorbo he responds with a video of his honest reaction. he is confused. they also call him a poor little meow meow. he is confused. they also call him babygirl. he is still confused.

when he gets recognized in public he has no clue how to act. mainly because he very, very rarely gets recognized. his own neighbors are surprised when they find out he is a content creator.

eventually he will get recognized more, because his content is a comedy goldmine, albeit very unintentional. most of his fans are actually Gen Z, because his humor fits in pretty damn well. he is always slightly unsettled when teenagers recognize him because sometimes he forgets that young people do in fact watch his content. even though most of his viewers are half his age or less.

eventually Val finds his channel and dies laughing and confronts him about it (post reconnecting), because she never knew about it and she wants to be in those videos too because it’s fun. just some father & daughter fun: getting drunk and taking a walk in the forest being silly.

I actually really love doing these headcanons and i hope you do too :3

Answering the other anon’s question about Saige and Damien with what I’ve gathered from the internet…heads up, this is long! Sorry in advance!

First, I need to preface this by saying, this information is provided to satisfy curiosity only. This new community being cultivated seems to keep discussions to themselves and leave the Smosh cast alone, which is awesome. When this stuff first happened, Saige stans and Damien stans took sides and started being toxic and spreading rumors and misinformation. Really don’t want that to happen here. Warning done? Cool!

Saige started working at Smosh at the beginning of 2021. Damien stated in a stream that he quickly developed a crush on her. It’s not clear when they first started dating but by November 2021, they had moved in together and confirmed their relationship. They made regular appearances on each other’s streams (clearly in different rooms of the same residence). They did couple’s costumes in Halloween and in his end of the year post for 2021, Damien called Saige the “love of his life”.

Damien bought Saige concert tickets to a show she wanted to see, they would show snippets of their outings (a picnic, the Ren faire), and they travelled to Italy together.

Professionally, SmoshGames partnered with Twitch in the fall of 2020. Saige had started PixelCircus at the same time but it was just beginning so I think she agreed to be hired by Smosh to help with their Twitch content. I think the streams did modestly. There was some drama about how it was clear SmoshGames was just in it for the money versus “normal” streamers being in it for the community. (I think at the end of the day, any monetized channel is in it for the money but that’s another story.) Speculation also arose around doing things live on Twitch causing issues for the cast and scheduling. Regardless, what happened was SmoshGames ended their Twitch streaming in March 2022. Saige started appearing in less content although she still went with Smosh to Vidcon 2022. I don’t think she was as visible as everyone else though. Matt Raub left Smosh in July 2022. This is speculation but I assume he had something to do with hiring Saige so with him gone and the Twitch gone, I think Smosh decided not to continue with Saige. They also hired Angela, Chanse and Arasha at this time.

Saige didn’t get an official departure notice, but people started to notice she wasn’t in Smosh content. She confirmed only in October 2022 that she no longer worked for Smosh. In the meantime, I think her content creation and viewership with PixelCircus picked up. She was going to more tabletop conventions and whatnot. At one point, she had to quarantine from Damien because she caught something at one of them.

Their exact breakup date is not public. Presuming that Damien is a supportive partner, it’s telling that he liked all her IG posts before September 12, 2022 and nothing after. Again, it’s not confirmation of anything but it’s likely they broke up some time after that. Saige also mentioned in her fall 2022 streams that she was moving. (This is much later but they completely unfollowed each other on social media by May 2023.)

When Saige confirmed to her fans that she left Smosh in October 2022, I assume some of her fans thought something was wrong with Smosh. Saige fed the flames by stating in her discord that while she didn’t say anything that “isn’t lawyer approved”, “everything else is a guess or logical conclusion of an intelligent community”. This wasn’t great but what really stirred things in up was a fan making accusations about Smosh being toxic except for Damien in November of 2022 and Saige LIKING that tweet. At this point, I think the bridges were burned and connections severed.

You can leave a company but you probably shouldn’t support someone calling your ex, your former workplace and his coworkers/friends toxic if you want to maintain any sort of relationship. From that point on, I think they just don’t acknowledge each other. Damien and Saige were both at GenCon this year even and promoted completely separate events.

So, that’s what I know. Mostly pulled from Twitter, some Tumblr and IG sleuthing. Saige and Damien did seem happy so I’m sad they didn’t work it out and this is how the relationships, both personal and professional, ended.

It’s not really clear why Damien and Saige’s personal relationship ended. It might seem like it was because she stopped working at Smosh but we’ll never really know. In my personal judgement, from afar and definitely with incomplete information, it does seem like Saige is a bit immature. Maybe a bit of a narcissist. Around this time too, Damien started to experience some breakthroughs and epiphanies about his neurology and mental health, so that may have helped him realize if he was in any unhealthy situations. (Since he’s neurospicy, kind and socially awkward, I think he was probably easy to take advantage of.)

Anyway, hope this answers the previous anon’s question. At the end of the day, I hope both of them continue to improve their mental health and find happiness. It just won’t be with each other.

Was reading your previous Operation Stepdad AU idea, and a tropey thing I thought of came to me while watching the Sims office makeover video. Like what if there was a follow-up where Courtney made everyone in that Sims world to show a day in the life via Sims and the Anthony and Ian Sims are just fully enamored with each other and making out andwhat have you.

There could be hijinks in the form of her accidentally leaving a Sim in another save file (as mentioned in an older Smoshcast episode, she did make an Ian Sim, but he's saved on Steam or something lol) or when trying to show others, the Sims are doing other unhinged stuff.

So, I love this idea! Let's say that Courtney does make everyone from Smosh in the Sims 4 and they live in the office she made. Of course, she is going to lay out her master plan at getting Ian and Anthony together through the Sims first and she's going to make Shayne and Damien join her as she plays through their first date.

"See, and then Ian is going to kiss Anthony like so." Courtney clicks the mouse and the Sim versions of Ian and Anthony are kissing on screen.

Shayne shakes his head, "This is the dumbest thing we've ever done."

Damien gives him a look, "No, we've definitely done dumber. Now weirdest? This might be that."

"Guys!" Courtney says, frowning at the two men next to her. "This is just a recreation! Plus, isn't it cute? Look how happy virtual Ian and Anthony are."

Imagine they do film a couple of episodes for the channel and Ian and Anthony's Sims are obsessed with each other and Spencer is sending Courtney messages on Slack like 'Courtney, I've had to edit out so many kisses of Ian and Anthony in the Sims 4 video. What did you do??' but maybe he leaves one of the kisses in as like a joke or a funny easter egg and really he knows Ian or Anthony won't watch the video, but they don't anticipate people gif-ing the moment and tweeting it at the men.

Ian coming in the next morning like, "Why are my Twitter replies all gifs of a virtual me kissing a virtual Anthony?"

Shayne points at Courtney. Courtney glares at him.

Ian doesn't know a ton about the Sims 4 and Courtney rambles off something about a mod in the game making everyone kiss, but the only kiss Spencer left in was the one between him and Anthony.

Ian rolls his eyes and grumbles about his ruined replies, but he's got a faint pink to his cheeks.

Sometimes when Courtney is bored and doesn't have a ton to do in the office or she's waiting to be called to set she'll play a little of the file and she's full on moved Ian and Anthony Sims into their own house and is planning a wedding and she definitely doesn't tell Shayne or Damien or Spencer.

About an hour after the guest’s arrival, the auction finally starts. Some come to share the money they have no other use for — others, to establish some sort of status, seek connections, or simply watch this odd species in its natural habitat.

While politicians lay the groundwork for a successful campaign, the law and the media follow closely behind, all with goals of their own. Weaving into the crowd also, are those with influence in the underworld. If you think they don’t have something to gain by blending in — you’re sorely mistaken.

[MEDIA CHARACTER C] has their hands full tonight, what with so much fact-checking to be made for all articles breaking tomorrow. Naturally, they approach [CHARACTER D] to run through the details with. (Read: trying to catch them in a lie.)

[CHARACTER E] had been hoping to shake hands with someone involved in the government tonight, and ALAN DIETRICH fits the bill. If they can just gauge out all government strategy and how it impacts their business, then it’s time well spent. Of course, [CHARACTER E] has their own agenda also.

[LAW CHARACTER A] had heard through a rumor that DAMIEN TOUSSAINT, while not a criminal themselves, knows more than your average civilian. If they enough questions, maybe some will get answers.

[CHARACTER H] lets it slip that they know some hacking, and it peaks the interest of CALEB MORENO. Hey — knowing what their opponents are doing could be useful, that’s all.

[GANG CHARACTER C] has been avoiding EMILIO CARRASCO, until they cross paths. There’s an inkling or knowledge of their involvement with crime, and tensions rise.

MATHIAS CAIN gets a little too drunk and reveals a secret they weren't supposed to, and to the worst person possible: CLARK CAIN. What now?

KRISTEN PARRISH finds AVA M HOLLIS and VIA D’ANGELO talking in a room — and they want in on the secret.

[CHARACTER M] has their eye on a certain item up for auction, and they're determined to have it — the only problem is, [CHARACTER N] feels the same. Who will win the battle of paper and words?

IZARA LEVINE catches [CHARACTER P] stashing hors-d'œuvres in their pockets. Are they saving it for later, or are they up to something? Time will tell.

AXEL REYES and [ENEMY C] enter conflict. But they have to find a way to settle it without things getting violent — any slips, and they might just blow the cover of their entire operation.

okay so I was rewatching a compilation of them (as one does) and it's so nice and cute to see them at the beginning feeling their dynamic and then as it progressed to where they are now, having founding their footing. and it just made me think about how much I wish we could have gotten angela at his funeral (but like with incredible dynamic they have now) because she would have gone hard while also love bombing him (a term amanda says it's what it feels like being on the casket felling seen and made fun of while also being really loved) and he would also not hold back on his counter roast. and i'm sure they would have gotten the biggest laugh of each other doing it so.

in a perfect world where the funerals happen again without being ticketed (maybe on pit) they must do an angela one and it better have damien on it. honestly the whole board/sword af crew + courtney because I feel they are all really close with angela

and plus her reactions would kill because she's so expressive and alive and joyful. and the entire audience loves her (as they should) so it would get a lot of views.

god I wish we could get funerals and let's do this and reunions again because they were so fun and I feel like it's where the cast bond and friendship really shined. let's do this really gave us so many good interactions between damien and angela and I have a theory that it also helped to make them comfortable and find their balance with each other. non scripted is just so fun and so precious now that it doesn't belong on the main channel anymore.

They really are so different now! Before when she fist joined it definitely felt a bit weird because you could tell they didn’t know each other well yet (Angela didn’t press his buttons as often)(atleast not on purpose lol) but they both could tell they would get along.

I almost can’t believe she wasn’t at his funeral, it feels like she SHOULD have been there (Damien’s funeral was posted 12/12/22 and I believe Angela’s first vid with Smosh was 8/10/22 so she should have been with them) but I’m guessing she opted out of the roast because 1- she didn’t know him super well by this point, being there only 4 months max. 2-It doesn’t seem like Angela does any ROASTING during funerals. She and Chanse did that improv bit, but I think that’s about as far as she goes.(and she’s done “reading chat” roasts on the live shows)

That being said I’m a little sad she wasn’t there.

I feel like they definitely could do more roasts, I really don’t see why they wouldn’t (maybe in the far future) We still haven’t gotten Keith, Chanse, Arasha, ANGELA.? And I think those would all be a fun time! And you’re right! I think it’s such a shame we haven’t gotten an Angela one yet! That would be SO GOOD!!! (Fingers crossed Smosh finished out the roster 🤞)

Lets do this! Has some of my favorite interactions of them! Even in the ones she’s just a background character! (This one) The how to fix a bad habit one? UGH him giving her his pistachios! The whole video! Just UGH! The packing video when she comes out in all black and he say “you’re dressed like me! :D” and all the other stuff in these videos! Just so good!

We tend to cycle between Nexpo who does video game/internet horror long video essays (my ABSOLUTE favorite is his cinematic movie that retells the story of Ben Drowns called Ben Drowns Again) and Speedrunning videos like Summoning Salt or SmallAnt

If you had to change your name, what would it be, and why? (In tandem, if you have changed your name, why did you pick that one?) I have changed my name many times! I have ultimately landed on a new first and middle name! Damien Agro, both are in some part inspired by the channel however they mean more to me than the original inspiration. What is your favorite of Redacted’s audios, and why? Damien and Huxley's Solstice Comfort. It was the first time Damien really opened up about the Inversion to Huxley in a video as Damien and Huxley's after shocks took place on different days and Damien's was during Huxley's trip back home. I think it was a really important moment for the two of them and hearing it is a little to close to home sometimes.

What Redacted boy holds no appeal to you, and why? Like, not the one you hate but the one who you don’t get the hype for. (I won’t judge, I promise.) Sam, and I think its partially because I was there for his original introduction during the Bright Eyes series, in which he was not the person that Darlin' fell for. I know Erik had personal reasons for ending that series, but a part of me will always feel like it's because Darlin' would never had fallen for someone who said the things Sam had.

Tell me about that one book/movie/tv show you know all the words to. Clue (1985)!!! This movie has been my favorite ever since I was a little kid and I love it now. On days where I'm super overstimulated I really love going back to this movie cause it's familiar! My partner and I quote it on a daily basis

Ooh, an opportunity to pontificate about one of my favorite ships. I know we all love HuxDami, lord knows I do, but if I’ve got a Damien kinnie on my hands, I’ve got to let you know how sweet you’d be with Gavin.

First things first, we love a t4t couple. I think it’s super cute, and it can be so lovely to share a life with someone who has firsthand experience with what you’re going through. That said, I am so incredibly passionate about Gavin and his choosing of his own name and refusal to change how he looks to please anyone as a trans allegory. Thus, a gorgeous t4t couple who has all the transition tips for each other and would have the best thrift-shopping trips for the best fits. It can be so fun but also so harrowing to shop for clothes that feel gender-affirming while also looking good, and I think Gavin would be an absolute master of that, like having your own personal stylist who you also get to kiss.

Second things second, I think y’all could have a really cute, sweet, domestic life together. We get the idea that Gavin drifted a lot before he found a reason to settle into Dahlia, so I think there’s nothing he’d love more than staying home and binging Nexpo videos. I can imagine lots of chill, cozy nights in with him distracting you both while cooking, lazing about the couch in casual, unsexy underwear, him stealing your Cheerwine because he’d never tried it before he met you and he’s addicted to it now.

A bittersweet three, this works especially well with Gavin or any of the other d(a)emons who know they won’t have forever with their human lives and would want this, want to preserve those moments as best as possible.

Camelopardalis would be a sweet runner-up, because I think he’d really like your vibes. I can see you infodumping about the ocean or watching your long gameplay videos being both relaxing but also fulfilling for him. Lasko, I love as a runner-up because his story also strikes me as a trans allegory and I think you could be a good influence in getting him to quit caffeine. Bless his heart, that boy does not need it.

I'm Dany. I run other Update Account blogs on tumblr and I've been watching Redacted since late 2021, and I've been involved with the fandom since summer of 2022.

Do you update stuff related to the Patreon?

Yes and no. This will be a situation to situation thing. However, I will not, ever update about anything that is posted behind a paywall for a reason. I will not disrespect Erik's wishes, so I won't post about BA's, certain upcoming content, links to private streams, etc... (if you have any specific questions about this feel free to ask!)

Do you post updates about the characters?

Yes! That is more or less the point of this blog!

How do I start watching Redacted?

The answer to this will defiantly be different from person to person, but personally I started with the "Everything" Playlist, it's all of the videos in a playlist in the order of release. But if you don't want to start with that, you can start with character/story playlists. Starting with either Freelancer Season One (Gavin, Lasko, Damien, & Huxley), Vincent, or David and explore from there! There really isn't a "right" way to watch Redacted, so whichever way you choose will probably be best for you :)

So ive totally fallen behind on what all this is, is there a way you could make an explanation/theories/mega post sort of thing? because I have totally forgotten a lot of details.

Great question and completely understandable!

Here is a basic masterpost of our theories up to this point covering these shenanigans:

Basically, this first started through the 3 Scary Games videos when Lunky was introduced and basically took over Lixian's place as editor. We believe that Lunky may have been created from the Eldritchplier (who may just be Actor Mark, given the colors) to keep Lixian in line and/or quiet. All of that info can be found in our definitive theory (which is a little out of date, but has a lot of key points).

After Lunky takes over the channel, Lixian comes back with Damien's axe (confirmed in Markiplier's birthday game linked here) and chops Lunky in half, seemingly destroying him. Yet the dark energy lurking inside Lunky (an idea also explored in the birthday game) consumes Lixian for a short period of time. That however does not last for long as Lixian becomes back to his old self.

However, he ends up trapped in the realm of the 3 Scary Games videos, full of fake Marks and monsters that mention that "the Eldritchplier" is coming. Usually these monsters can just be swung at and destroyed easily with the powerful arcane axe, but the fake Squid Mark manages to block that out with some sort of red force field, trapping Lixian in some sort of red dark void .

Meanwhile, we finally see the BACK of the Eldritchplier, who resurrects Lunky officially and who we now see is controlling all these monsters' wills.

After this, we finally see where Lixian has been abandoned in...the outside of The Plier Corporation.

Outside of small bits and pieces, this has been the main story so far...

and it looks like things are getting bigger than ever.

Batman: Wayne Family Adventure is a cute little webcomic series that's just meant to be more relaxed and just overall a slice of life.

I feel like an even more interesting thing about it is that in 2021, at some point it even had a 3 Parter live action mini web series of it that was going to be released on Ismahawks' channel on October in that same year.

They even had the cast which goes as follows:

So yeah it honestly seemed like it was already finished and set to go, but there was one problem.

It got cancelled by WB, why? While there's no definite answer there is a theory that this lovely person came up with:

And yeah like it says, any trace of the teaser is all gone, vid is privated most likely will never released, and neither the show will be. I lowkey even feel bad the for the folks working on the show cause it seems like everything that they were working for was all for naught.

While I get that they should've asked for permission, it's lowkey a bummer that it'll never see the light of the day, especially cause I would've been stoked to see a proper Cassandra Cain in live action (looking at you Birds Of Prey).

For now, the most we can look forward about the Batfamily in live action is the upcoming DCU's Brave And The Bold but even I'm not sure about it cause I feel like it's too soon for a batfamily but hey, like I said in my other post, who knows and I might be impressed.

For now tho, let us just continue Wayne Family Adventures as it is, a free webcomic series. Now I feel like drawing Cass ngl.

Re: your book tags- how are you liking the Coldfire trilogy? I’ve had the first book sitting on my shelf for ages now and I still haven’t gotten around to it, so I’m curious to know what you think!

I like the magic system a lot! It's pretty solid for an old novel imo even if sometimes it does dip into the "women have SO MUCH MORE TO BE SCARED ABOUT THAN MEN AHHH FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCESSSSS" thing a little bit (which like, fair, female author, that time period writing fantasy, etc). Gets a bit weird about women but like, not EGREGRIOUSLY so. I really like the characters. There's some fun fucked up body horror in there too.

Boy it gets uh. A wee bit homoerotic in ways I'm not sure the author entirely intended though. Like Damien is like the priest protagonist and they also end up joining up with Tarrant who was like...the First Holy Guy of the religion Damien belongs to and hes also like, kind of a vampire? And at one point Damien is like "you need to feed on suffering. Lets form a channel" and Tarrant is like "this is like, for life though" and damien is like "FUCK IT. WHATEVER. I DONT CARE." Tarrant mocks him by saying that he takes on what people fear and what Damien fears is 'genteel, civilized evil that can turn him from his path' essentially at one point. Damien LITERALLY feeds Tarrant his blood while cursing him out. It's a lot is what I'm saying.

Wow just like Ian's episode, today's Anthony episode of the Smoshcast is the best. I love hearing about Smosh history and bts stuff.

-Shayne's story about how Anthony said goodbye to him the last shoot day he had before leaving already make me emo, but Anthony revealing that he had specifically chased him to the parking lot to say goodbye BROKE ME, even S was emotional finding that out. He's been remembering and telling this story one way this whole time, and now there's a whole new layer

-Hearing Shayne talk about how he feels like Anthony's exit in 2018 took the pressure off of the Pit Squad, because the higher-ups were focusing on Smosh main. And how that allowed the cast to make the most fresh pit content lead by Sarah!!! How they became bonded and their friendship truly shined and that's what the dna of Smosh always had been since Ian and Anthony. I've always felt that way about that era of Smosh Pit but it's so special to hear it coming from him, and to realize that the cast (and C and S alone) probably have reflective convos about the past in this detailed manner

-Fascinating to hear S say that the recent half scripted half non-scripted Smosh Main content felt at some point like Smosh Pit second channel to them. I never thought of it that way but he's so right. Shows like funeral roasts, exes interviews and reading Dms/dating profiles do have Pit dna. Like the improve in a contained setup feels very Smosh Pit theatre. That used to be the channel youd go to see the cast's personalities and different brands of comedy interact through improve and fun. Smosh Main was always scripted/sketch. He's basically re-enforcing the idea that they were unsure what direction to go with after EBE, and they sort of leaned towards Pit type content because that was their star child and best performing channel which is insane and makes me happy. Now all is as it should be with Smosh Main being scripted sketch and any improv shows or vids should be on Pit. With Games being all types of games

-i love Shayne reminding people that it was truly Ian who saved Smosh, Rhett and Link stepped in and provided a second chance to the channel. But Ian was the one carrying Smosh through it so he should get the credit. Absolutely king dad 👑 also all the observations about Ian and his leading style and his persistence and his comedy were so sweet, Ian isn't the most sentimental guy esp when talking about himself but his coworkers and friends clearly see the value and good in him, he deserves the world

-i love this trio, Anthony sounds super profound and introspective which is refreshing, Shayne is a very empathetic person and a great listener and Amanda is so charismatic and joyful. I love seeing her learn about Smosh and the folklore behind it all, she's on the podcast representing the viewer basically,fangirling and learning bts things in real time with us

-I'm so excited about Anthony revealing that 1) Ian and Anthony are gonna launch a podcast, I love them and their friendship and I'm sure at some point they're gonna be able to pull the craziest guests. And 2) he revealed that part of their business plan is to figure out how each cast member shines and give them a show/format in which they can portray that. Clearly that's what we've been seeing with ot3 (Damien swordaf, Shayne reddit and smoshcast, Courtney's new pit endeavors coming up), it's good to have confirmation that that's a priority

I don't like to theorise about real people or their jobs much, but because some people are a bit worried about Damien's involvement in the channels, I have a slightly weird reassurance, I suppose (though again, it's a real person so trying to read into stuff without knowing him personally is always gonna end up kinda weird) In the last games video he was in, they mentioned that the first person to start is whose birthday is coming up. Angela was in the video and she's start of October, he's end of November, so like...that's a relatively small but recent time frame as to when that would have been filmed. Either it was filmed right before he got sick, in which case we very much might still be getting some of those videos because that games video released recently, or it was filmed after that point, in which case it is such a recently filmed video that to worry about him leaving is very pre-emptive.

That is a super good point, Anon! I appreciate you reassuring others because I know people can theorize and it can get others very worried and scared. Like for example before when Smosh changed their main profile pic on Twitter and people got scared Anthony was leaving again and it also made people feel unsettled.

Tales of the Abandoned

The day that Lady had asked you to go to the abandoned hospital for her Youtube channel had you questioning all your life choices up until this point. Honestly, you weren’t really all that excited about going. Not to say you were afraid, but you’d much rather go with a larger group of people. For safety reasons of course. However, when you asked your roommate June if she wanted to tag along she said she would rather not be the victim of a literal horror movie opening. Not that you could blame her, but this would’ve been about three hundred times less scary if it wasn’t just you and Lady.

You were waiting in your living room for Lady to show up while June was going off on another one of her rants about how amazing the web comic Blooming Panic is. She was recalling all the points that her friend’s podcast made the night before.

“And get this okay,” She turns to you with a screenshot of the comic pulled up on her phone, “Nathanial and Damien get really really close this episode. I feel like the author is hinting at those two deciding they like each other more than Lola.”

You squint at the dialogue on the screen, “Is that what Quest said too?”

“No!” She threw her hands in the air, “That’s the thing, he thinks it is just a coincidence.”

You were about to respond when your phone vibrated with a message from Lady. She was waiting for you outside.

“Argue with him for me on twitter,” You joke as you grab your backpack and a hoodie for the exploration. “I’ll see you later, though. Lady is waiting for me outside.”

“Have fun getting murdered by Jason!” She calls as you approach the door.

“Jason attacked camp counselors.” You shot back as you closed the door behind you. You made your way to Lady’s little red mini cooper and smiled as she was enthusiastically waving at you from the driver’s seat.

“Hello~” She sang as you opened the passenger-side door.

“Good evening.” You grin as you plop down in the seat. “How far away is the horror-hospital you have us going to?”

“Right to business, I see.” She says as she begins pulling out of the parking-lot. “Only about thirty minutes, give or take.”

“How’d you find this place?”

“Looking through the comments on some other youtubers comment section. I saw the address that this one dude commented on the video and was like ‘hey that’s really close to here!’. So I figured we could go.” Lady explained as she drove. “Did you remember to bring a flashlight?”

“Yea I grabbed one, but I don’t know how good the batteries are. So do not leave me alone in there. Like, ever.” You joke. You started actually getting worried about your flashlight, though, so you grabbed it from your bag and tested it.

It turned on immediately, but was flickering and looked pretty dim.

“Next time bring a good flashlight maybe.” Lady laughed as it slowly died.

“That’s if we don’t end up getting sucked into some horror-hospital dimension while we are there.” You grimace.

“Oh, whatever! Where’s your sense of adventure?”

You shrug, but stay silent. Lady turns on whatever CD she has loaded into the player, and you gaze out the window at the passing scenery. After a while, you have entered a more forested area. The space between trees becomes few and far between and the branches overhead have shielded the car (and you) from the rays of the sun. A pit starts to form in your stomach when Lady pulls off the main road onto a side one made of dirt.

“Almost there!” She looks at you and gives you a nervous grin. You try to reply with false enthusiasm, but your voice is lost and your mouth feels dry. You give her a half-hearted thumbs up and closed-mouth smile. Good enough.

The road continues for at least two miles and you’re jostled around from the bumps and divots of the neglected path. Somehow, the tree line becomes thicker and it looks as though the sun has disappeared completely.

“Holy shit.” Lady gasps as the car slows. You turn to look ahead of you and there you can see the hospital coming into view from behind the woods and a sea of vines and rubble.

“It looks like Dracula’s Castle.” You gulp leaning your head down to get a full view of the building.

“It looks like a movie set.” Lady parks the car towards the front doors. She turns off the ignition and turns to you. “You ready?”

You look from her to the abandoned hospital in front of you. “Probably not,” You reply.

“Me either,” She presses her lips into a firm line. “But let’s go ahead anyway.”

You give a short nod and open the car door. The air around the hospital is nearly fifteen degrees colder than it was at your apartment, and you were very glad that you brought that hoodie just in case. Lady follows your example, and when she’s fully out of the vehicle she shivers.

“This place is cold.” She grumbles and shoves her hands into her jacket pockets.

“Don’t complain,” You chuckle and head towards the trunk of her car to help her get her camera and other equipment out. “This is your fault.”

“I can’t control the weather!” She laughs and lifts her own backpack from the trunk.

“Yea but-” You grab her small camera bag and throw it over your shoulder, “You totally control where you film your videos.”

“Oh whatever,” She grins and closes the trunk. “This’ll be fun. I promise!”

You shake your head as you both go to enter the building. The front door is locked or boarded shut from the inside. Either way, you can’t open it. It takes you a while to find a window on the first floor that is big enough to crawl through, but you find it and enter the building.

The inside of the hospital is about as terrifying as you had imagined. Maybe slightly more as you are actually there, it’s dark, and every single movement you make echoes through the hallways.

“I’m really wishing you brought a better flashlight.” Lady groans as she turns hers on and it starts flickering.

“Will the phones not work?” You ask, pulling out your phone.

“Not as well as - like - a real flashlight.” Her’s stops flickering, but it’s still very dim.

“Let’s just get the video over with and get out of here as soon as possible.” You look around, listening to the dripping of water echoing from somewhere in the room. “Not to sound stereotypical, but this place is freaking me out.”

“No you’re right. Alright, let’s set the tripod up right there-” Lady points to a dry spot in front of the window that’s letting in a little light. “-And get ready to film the introduction.”

It takes you all of two seconds to get the camera set up and place yourselves in front of it.

“Hey guys and welcome back to me doing dumb shit for YouTube!” Lady puts on a bright personality as she addresses the camera. “Today I am at the Delorean Hospital out in…”

You zone out during Lady’s introduction. The smile on your face falls as you swear you can hear the engine of a car from somewhere near the hospital. You keep trying to listen, but Lady addresses you.

“Today I brought my good friend, Y/n, along with me! They are super ecstatic to be here, and by super ecstatic I mean absolutely livid that I brought them along.” Lady nudges your arm with her elbow causing you to forget the noise you heard and laugh.

“Well you know what, I have literally never been more excited to leave somewhere in my life.” You joke.

“Anyways-” Lady goes back to addressing the camera and setting up the beginning of her video.

You strain to hear the sound again, but there is relative silence. Apart from the echo of Lady’s voice and the sounds of the woods around you, you can’t hear anything that sounds like it could be from people.

The tension in your shoulder melts away and you tell yourself you were just being dramatic. You turn back to Lady as she approaches the camera to shut it off.

“And scene!” She calls as she presses the record button again to stop the camera. “I think that is good enough. We can just kind of record as we go now.”

“Perfect.” You shiver as a draft blows in from the window. “Let’s get through this place as quickly as possible.”

The two of you put the tripod back in the camera bag and start wandering around the hospital. The hallways were in poor shape, but the surgery rooms were even worse. You weren’t sure how that happened, but half of them had parts of the floor deteriorating and the other half had an inch of standing water in them. The ones with water you avoided like the plague.

Everything had gone fairly smoothly in the terms of recording and not being absolutely terrified. That is, until Lady mentioned trying to find the morgue.

“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” You ask as you move through another seemingly endless hallway. “Aren’t morgues typically in the basement?”

Lady just looks into the camera, an evil grin on her face, before she looks back at you. “Exactly.”

“Lady,” You groan and the two of you reach the end of the hallway that forks into two different paths. “I do not want to go to the basement-”

You’re cut off by the sound of a large metallic clang coming from somewhere in the hospital.

“What the fu-” Lady starts but another, louder clang rips through the air. You look at each other, faces grim and eyes nearly bulging from their sockets. At the same time, the both of you turn to run down one of the hallways that were on either side of you. You run as hard as you can, nearly slipping a few times due to the wet floors, until you reach an open room that was adjacent to the way you originally came in.

You turn around to see how far Lady is behind you, but she’s nowhere to be seen. You wait a few more minutes, hoping she’ll round the corner and suddenly appear, but nothing. Panicking, you pull out your phone to call her.

She doesn’t answer.

You call three more times, before dread starts to take over your body. As a last resort, you frantically begin texting her to try and get some sort of answer. The first few messages are sent normally, but the last two take longer and need to be sent as a multimedia message.

Tears start to prick at your eyes and you pace around the room. You’re alone and you don’t know where Lady has gone. For all you know, she slipped somewhere and busted her head open and now she’s bleeding out in some mold infested room.

You turn on the flashlight on your phone and try heading back the way you came. Maybe Lady hid somewhere or something. It only takes a few minutes until you’re back at the hallway where you last saw your friend. She wasn’t in any of the rooms you passed so far, and there was no other way to go. You suddenly realize that she probably ran the opposite direction.

Just as you have that thought, you hear a blood-curdling scream come from somewhere down that other hallway. You’re nearly one-hundred percent sure it’s Lady and all of your senses become heightened with adrenaline. In a split-second decision, you drop the camera bag and your own backpack and grab a metal pipe that is laying on the floor beside an empty hospital room.

You take off sprinting down the hallway you heard the scream come from when you can see another opening - similar to the one your hallway opened up into. In that opening you see two fairly tall men dressed in black clothing with backpacks facing away from you. In between them, you can see Lady with an ashen white face and her hand clutching her heart.

You tighten your grip on the pipe, ready to protect Lady from whoever these guys are, and start creeping up behind them. You are nearly a foot away from one with dyed blonde hair and raise the pipe to hit them over the head, when Lady spots you over his shoulder.

“Y/n!” Lady shoves past the two men and rushes towards you for a hug. When she wraps her arms around you, you drop the metal to return the embrace. “Where did you go?” She demands and pulls away.

“Where did YOU go?” You shoot back. “I thought you were following me down the hallway that was leading away from the giant crashing noise.”

She pauses and looks bashful, “I would totally be the first to die in a horror movie, huh?”

“Totally.” You nod and she steps away. As she stands next to you, you can see the two guys that you were ready to jump not even a minute ago. “Who’re they?” You ask and use your chin to gesture in their direction.

“Oh!” Lady smiles, “These two were the noises we heard. They broke down the front door to get in.”

You press your lips together and give them an awkward wave.

“The one on the left is Owl,” She introduces. “And the one beside him is Xyx. They’re also exploring for their YouTube channel.”

“Nice to meet you.” You hold a hand out and Owl is the only one who shakes it. You offer to shake hands with Xyx too, but he just nods his head and gestures towards the pipe laying at your feet.

“Were you going to attack us?” He asks.

You laugh it off as you explain, “I heard my friend scream so I thought y’all were - like - attacking her or something.”

Owl smiles and laughs along with you, but Xyx merely raises his eyebrows. You shy away from his gaze and turn back to Lady.

“Why did you scream?” You ask, “Also where is your fucking phone?!”

“They scared me when I ran into them while I was running away,” She shrugs with a smile. “And I lost my phone somewhere along the way apparently. Where’s all your stuff?”

You use your thumb to gesture behind you down the hall you emerged from, “Dropped it off to come and save you.”

“Aw!” Lady gushes and addresses Owl and Xyx, “Isn’t my friend the sweetest?”

“Considering they were ready to bash our skulls in a minute ago,” Xyx finally gives a smile. It’s lopsided and impish and makes your knees feel like they’re made of jelly. “I’m going to say maybe not the sweetest. The most protective for sure.”

“Ah whatever-” Lady waves her hand to dismiss his words. “Let’s go get our stuff.”

“Alright, it was nice meeting you two.” You start to walk away with Lady when Owl stops you in your tracks.

“We can come with you!” Owl speaks up.

“Are you sure?” You turn to him and ask. “Don’t you have your own stuff to film?”

“If you two are okay with being in the video we can stick together.” Owl is bouncing on the balls of his face with an excited grin adorning his face. “It’ll be like the Scooby-Doo Gang!”

“I’m fine with that!” Lady interjects, equally as excited as Owl. “If you’re okay with being in my video. We were almost done recording anyway so it’ll just be for a little bit.”

“Perfect!” Owl grins and throws an arm around Xyx’s shoulders. “Let’s go!”

Lady leads Owl and Xyx down the hall to look for her phone and the rest of your stuff. You follow closely behind. Owl is talking about nothing and everything all at once, just sort of filling the space with his personality. It’s kind of relieving to have the halls be filled with noise that isn’t the echoing of footsteps or water drips. Owl was making the place feel alive and less murderous.

A few more minutes of walking around, Lady’s phone was found lying beneath an old bed. She was extremely reluctant to get it, but after a bit of encouragement from the group (because no one else was willing to get on the floor and get it for her) she did get it out and cleaned it off with the sleeve of her shirt. Down the hall a bit was the camera bag and your backpack sitting nicely against the wall waiting for your return.

“Alright that’s everything, I think.” You grin as you address the group.

“Nice! Do you mind if I start recording a little bit here and introduce you guys?” Owl asks, already getting his camera ready to record.

“Fine with me,” You shrug, unsure if he would even care if you said no.

He hands the camera off to Xyx. Xyx takes a few steps away from the three of you to get you into frame and starts a countdown.

“3…2…1…” He holds a thumbs up to let Owl know it’s good to go.

“Alright in a turn of events,” Owl immediately starts talking about what happened just five minutes ago and describing how he found us in the hospital.

You try to listen, but can hardly keep your focus on what Owl’s saying about everything. Xyx was barely looking at the screen of the camera, instead you kept catching him watching you over the camera. His green eyes looked piercing and cat-like in the dark light and it made your breath hitch. You could feel your face heating up under his stare, and no matter how much you tried to keep your attention on Owl you were just watching his mouth move and not listening.

“Lady and Y/n were here doing their own exploration video!” Owl announced to the camera with a proud smile, “So if you want to check out what they were doing before we showed up and scared the crap out of them, I will be linking Lady’s video in the description. You guys should definitely check her out!”

You felt your chest swell with happiness for Lady as her entire face lit up at the shout out. She hadn’t been doing YouTube for very long, so her account had a somewhat small following. She also hadn’t made any friends in the same field as her, and you knew it made her feel sort of alone doing what she did.

“Do you have your own channel, Y/n?” Xyx spoke up from behind the camera. You made eye contact with him after he asked and it made butterflies begin to swell in your chest. He had shifted the camera to be on you.

“No,” You chuckle and wave your hands dismissively. “I just tagged along so that Lady wasn’t out here all on her own.”

“You should join my channel and be my cute assistant.” Owl interjects, causing Xyx to center the camera once again. “You can replace Xyx.”

“Har-dee-har-har.” Xyx rolls his eyes, but a smile is evident on his face.

The rest of the video proved to be a lot more fun than you expected. The four of you actually got along really well and were constantly joking around and laughing throughout the night. Owl actually had a lot of information about the hospital in its heyday and was talking about the sorts of things that happened in the hospital before it was inevitably shut down. None of which was exactly positive.

“You googled the history before you came?” Lady asks incredulously.

“Yea! You didn’t? This place is like kind of famous for murders and mistreatment of patients back in the 1890s.” Owl responds, loving the history lesson he’s been giving. Xyx continued filming. “It’s supposed to be super haunted.”

“Haunted?” You repeat; kind of intrigued, kind of terrified.

“Oh yea! I’m gonna be here until it gets really dark to try and get some ghost readings on my equipment.” Owl pulls a black block with varying lights on it. “You guys want to stay and hunt with us?”

You look at Lady whose expression appears equally unnerved as you feel. She shakes her head and you agree.

“No, that's alright.” You reply. “I told my roommate I’d be back by 8, and it’s already 7:45.”

“Aw okay.” Owl puts on an overdramatic frown and you can’t help but giggle. “Maybe I can convince you guys to join me next time for some Ghost Adventures.”

“If you can find a place that doesn’t potentially have thousands of rats living in the wall, I’m in.” You say.

“Deal.” Owl laughs.

You start checking through your backpack and pockets to make sure you aren’t missing anything and look to Lady to let her know you’re ready to go.

“I guess we’ll be off now.” Lady puts her own camera back in its case and Xyx lowers his. “It was really great meeting you two, I’m so glad you weren’t trying to murder us.”

“The bar is literally on the floor, but I’ll take it.” Xyx finally speaks up. “By the way, Lady, I need you to do something for me.”

“Yea what’s up?”

Xyx’s gaze goes from friendly to stern in a second, it throws you completely off guard and you’re watching him with a bated breath.

“You need to delete any footage of me from your camera right now.” His voice is steely cold and serious.

“...what?” You can see her shoulder tense and she tightens her grip on her camera case. “Why?”

“He just has this thing about being in videos,” Owl explains, trying to lighten the mood. Too late for it now, though. The friendly atmosphere between the group has completely disappeared.

“That’s like almost all my footage with you both in it though!” Lady explains, trying to save her content “That’s like half my video.”

“I’m serious. Before you leave, can you delete everything right here.” Xyx is watching her, his cat-like eyes seeming sinister.

Lady looks at you, her eyes are starting to water and you wished you still had that pipe from before to wack Xyx over the head with.

“She can’t cover you with a sticker or anything?” You glare at Xyx, “She has to delete everything?”

“Everything.”

“That’s bullshit!” You defend.

“Y/n…” Lady tries to soothe you.

“No it’s not fair. He gets to keep everything with us in it but-”

“It’s fine!” Lady interrupts and pulls her camera out again. “Seriously, I will delete anything with Xyx and salvage the rest in editing. We are entertaining enough just the two of us.” She’s smiling, but you can tell she’s a little disappointed by having to delete so much footage.

“Whatever.” You turn to scowl at Xyx, but he’s not even sparing you a glance. Instead, he’s watching Lady delete full clips where he is visible. Once he’s satisfied with her work, he steps away from her and nods his head.

“I’m sorry about that.” Xyx states, his tone no longer cold. “It’s just something I have to do.”

“Yea okay.” You scoff, but Lady hits you lightly against the arm.

“It’s alright!” Her face brightens once again. “It wasn’t as much as I thought it would be anyways.”

“One more thing,” Xyx pulls out his phone and holds it towards Lady. “Can you put in your number?” Your eyes widen as you watch her put her number into his phone. Was she really letting him flirt with her?

“What’s this for?” She questions as she hands his phone back to him.

“I’ll text you my email later tonight that way you can send me your video before you post it.” Xyx states and it makes you even angrier than before.

“You’re making her send you the video for approval?!” You cry out, enraged.

“I need to make sure-”

“Yea whatever. Let’s go Lady.” You scowl at him. As you pass Owl, though, you give him a small smile. “I’ll look for your channel later and follow you.”

“It’s called ‘NightOwl’,” He states proudly. “My twitter is linked, too. You should follow me on there and I’ll just get your number later.” He winks after he says that last part and you can barely suppress a flattered giggle.

“See ‘ya NightOwl.” You grin.

You walk out the front doors (which were now open thanks to Owl and Xyx) as Lady is swapping numbers with Owl as well. The red mini cooper is standing out blaringly against the darkness of the night. Parked next to it is a pink Ford Bronco and next to that is a dark, so blue it’s almost black motorcycle.

It didn’t take you long to figure out what belonged to who.

“Alright let’s hit the road!” Lady grins as she unlocks the car and you two start putting all your equipment in the back once again.

“Let’s get out of here.” You sigh and plop into the passenger seat. “June is already blowing up my phone demanding to know where we are.”

“She’s worried about you, it’s cute.” Lady smiles and starts the car.

“You just say that because you think she’s cute.”

“Shut up.”
