Just found your Into The Ball Pit AU last night and I am so fixated on it right now I have already read it twice. Your art style is incredible and the AU concept is perfect and the writing is immaculate. Going rabid for more (though obviously don't pain yourself making it).

Anyways I don't know if you have it planned or not but I need need NEED to see Henry and Michael have a conversation without the lil ones around. Will Michael be honest about what has happened (that he's from the future and ol willy boy is evil)? Is he going to try changing what happened and save his little brother, or is he more concerned with getting back to 'his time'?

And speaking of dear ol Dad, has Mikey realized the nightmare animatronics are his work? Is he going to pay him a visit to get answers? You don't have to answer any questions you don't want to (play the mysterious author card, I get it, I'm one myself), just consider this rambling musings from a new fan :)

He’s just carefully going to plan how to break the news to Henry when the time is right and he knows he’ll believe him :3 as for getting back to the future (lmao) the only person he’s thinking of helping back there is Gregory :0c but that’s only because he thinks he still has a family to go back to. It’s been confusing whether Gabriel loves Adrien and what that even means. I think I figured it out. Gabriel loves the ideal of Adrien in his head. He doesn’t know Adrien. He’s never spent enough time with him to have the kind of grasp on who Adrien is that would let him love him. He doesn’t care to. Gabriel thinks because he can control Adrien, he can make Adrien do everything his idea of him does, making Adrien his perfect ideal. He thinks he loves him, because he loves his dream.

That’s why Gabriel is shocked and offended when Adrien exists, because he’s destroying the illusion Gabriel has built. If Adrien has thoughts and feelings that don’t fit with what Gabriel wants, then dreams are just dreams and even Adrien isn’t perfect. He doesn’t love the Adrien who defies him. He doesn’t love the Adrien who cares about his friends, fights for freedom, and falls for Marinette. Gabriel loves the image he superimposed over his son.

Randomly thinkin about Chilchuck today, and how he tries sooooo hard to self sabotage

like for example, other half foots on the island think that he's a greedy asshole who only cares about money, and he does nothing to try to disprove that

but then there's this omake at the end of book 9 that shows that people treat half foots fucking TERRIBLY and chilchuck started a union to protect them

and then in the bicorn chapter, he doesn't want Marcille to keep digging into his personal business so he tells her he CHEATED ON HIS WIFE

but he just COMPLETELY fuckin lied about that and made himself sound so much worse than he is bc he's afraid of being vulnerable with people and would rather everyone believes he's a shitty person so he can keep them at a distance

and the thing that's memed so often is that he refuses to help with fighting most of the time because it's not part of his contract

but if you take this lore into account (not gonna add those particular images to this post simply bc I've used them in so many posts already LMAO) along with this tidbit from the world guide:

then it's like. yeah he has to keep his weight low so if he gets killed or severely injured and has to be healed, that could be really dangerous for him. and even if he was healed at that point he'd end up being a burden to the party after that point, he would be too dangerously thin/sickly to be able to help.

Like, Chilchuck has so many things about him that APPEAR to be character flaws, but every single one of them has a very reasonable explanation. He just leans into the mischaracterization bc he's emotionally withholding and can handle people thinking he's an asshole more than he can handle opening up to anyone. he's such a well thought out and interesting character
