Anyways many Thoughts abt Gus and Hunter and how they had to grow up very quickly in opposite ways and that’s why their friendship/brotherhood means so much to me because yes its Hunter being able to help Gus in a way he never got and yes its Gus being able to be close to someone who knows what its like to be looked down upon for your age and yes its both of them being able to be silly and act like dumb boys together in a way they never got because Hunter was a solider and was running drills when most kids were doing algebra and fucking sharing locker rooms with actual adults (the fuck) and Gus’s childhood will now be forever haunted by a civil war and the aftermath of it and even before then how he has had to grow up very fast to keep pace with his peers and just having someone they can be a kid around, someone who gets it in a way not even Amity Luz or Willow do, I just- yeah.
