Do you ever read your own writing for fun?

YES. Absolutely 100% yes! I write for myself and my own enjoyment first and foremost; I know what I like and how I like it, so it only makes sense that I enjoy reading my works, haha! It's a lot of fun!

If you could erase any three tropes from existence, what would they be?

This is a hard one to answer, because I'm a strong believer in the fact that there's no capital sins in writing -- as long as the writer knows what they're doing, anything and everything can become the foundation for a wonderful, poignant story.

That being said... there are some common tropes (particularly in romances) I'm not too fond of. Love triangles are one of those (they mostly seem childish to me, honestly), and I also don't really enjoy love at first sight (attraction yes, interest yes, but love? at first sight? definitely not my thing!). Contrary to popular taste, I'm not a big fan of enemies-to-lovers, unless there's an extensive 'friends' phase in between. So yeah, if I had to pick: love triangles, love at first sight, enemies-to-lovers. :)

skimming through all of the dead text at the end of an old fic is so strange but weirdly satisfying and i could not even begin to explain why

#so like fun fact #all of the sort of half-sentences and not-quite-fully-formed ideas that i've had over the course of writing a fic don't actually get deleted #generally they just get relegated to the bottom of the document until either a) i've reached the point where i want to slot them back in #b) i've reworked the wording or whatever to make it fit better into the rest of the fic #or c) the fic has ended and i've decided i don't want to use them any more #so going back and reading them is kind of bizarre bc all of a sudden i am flung right back into the headspace of that fic and what it #felt like to write it #remembering 'oh yeah i was going to say that wasn't i'#and 'ooh that was a good phrase i should use that somewhere else'#and ' woah this would have been so different if they had done this instead of that'#its that sort of re-reading a diary feeling #the bottom of a fic document is a weird sort of liminal space for me it's fab #i'm back in the 'resist and elongate' document today to do some work on an alternate version #and included in that dead text is a list of the songs i was listening to as i wrote it #so i'm REALLY back in that space and it's great :DDD #the songs are a deeply bizarre mixture but its the vibe to ME #radiohead karma police is still the song of all time #i can drop the list if u like but it might be exposing my slightly hatstand music taste lmao

because it's a video game put out by cdpr i'm inherently going to have a Too Perfect whf in-game. her main physical features are her noticable nose bump from where she got he shit busted when she was younger and had no money for medical care, lots of moles (face, body, everywhere), tons of facial/ear/other body piercings (some of them kind of look like moles too?), a tooth gap and a slight chin dimple/cleft whatever they're called. her hair color changes semi-frequently but she's been in a dragonfruit mood for a bit, and the self-expression is prized as a large departure from how she looked and acted while still corpo-employed.

she's a bit squishy and round in the body (again, not that cdpr will ever be capable of demonstrating this) but has a practiced silent grace when it comes to stealth and is good at getting a vertical advantage in most situations. i think her arms are only beefy in-game out of necessity; she's a VERY good netrunner and prefers to knock people out via their cyberware if she can. she has a stunstick if that fails, and if EVERYTHING else fails, there's always the shotgun. she also rollerskates around and i think might have an electronic music hobby - at the very least, it's probably her favorite thing to listen to. due to her past employment and general inclinations, she finds cyberware fascinating and probably sexy too but has a high paranoia level about putting anything beyond the most bare basics into her own body
