and bc of this here’s my ideas ab marlene and some insight as to how i portray her : )

okay so she’s the youngest of like 5 and she’s the only girl

major mummy issues bc her mum always wanted a girl and like marlene was not what she wanted, marlene isn’t really all that feminine at all (prolly bc she grew up with mainly masculine influences from her brothers) but yeah she feels like she will never be enough for her mother no matter what she does, she will never be the daughter her mother wants

to make up for this insecurity she deals with it by leaning into more of what her mother doesn’t want her to be, being less and less of the ‘good girl’ her mum wanted

so she dyes her hair (im a firm believer my girl is a natural brunette and bleaches her hair)

and she gets piercings and spends all her money on a guitar and hangs around w people her mother doesn’t want her to (i don’t think her mum would like sirius pour example)

her mum isn’t abusive or anything, but she just makes marlene feel likes she’s not good enough

in primary school marlene never made any female friends (no i am not projecting how dare you accuse me of such a thing (im totally projecting))

she’s been friends with james and peter since childhood and she was always happy with them, but she also did feel a bit left out bc they didn’t go to muggle primary school and she didn’t really make friends there

i think she’s a halfblood and that’s why she went to a muggle primary school

but yeah lily was her first real female friend, i feel like lily and marls are just the classic extrovert adopts an introvert, like as soon as they met on the first day marlene was just like, yeah i’m making you my friend

james introduced her and sirius, and they were instantly best of friends, bc they are like the same person (marlene has less trauma tho)

marlene figured out she was a lesbian bc of her crush on mary, she did the classic thing being like ‘no i just really want to be friends with mary’ like no you dotn you lesbian you want to kiss her

and they did kiss, but nothing came of it and they’re good friends now

i think they kissed in like 3rd year

roight now let’s talk ab dorlene

they are quidditch rivals to lovers

they met on the pitch the first game either of them have ever played

gryffindor lost to slytherin and that was when marlene decided she hates dorcas (dorcas scored the winning goal or smth) (or saved one of marlene’s shots)

they argue a lot for like 3 years

eventually marlene realises she just wants to kiss dorcas and be near her and that’s why she wants to argue with her (to like be with her yk ? does this make sense idk)

once she realised her feelings she constantly talked to mary, lily and james ab it

they all get sick of hearing ab it

so dorcas and marlene are arguing ab smth random in 5th year and like marlene just yells out that she’s in love with dorcas

dorcas kisses her bc girlie is impulsive

they then sit down and talk and agree to date

they are very good at communicating now bc they realised they could’ve been dating since 4th year if they’d just admitted how they felt

Katrina gave up everything and started basing her content of off Sam once that influencer house was done. It wasnt til recently that she worked on music again and its not even backed by any music corp, it was just a friend in her room that fixed it on a laptop. She makes no other effort to keep it going, ask yourself why, because she’s comfortable. She stuck to tiktok, her first streams on twitch were filled with promises of Sam and Colby. She rarely does a youtube video without him and when she does it doesnt perform as well. she moved in and immediately started listing things she would change then the same thing with this house and told fans to buy from her store front to accomplish that. She at one point started and still does give up their filming locations and was claiming the paranormal investigation as her thing why because her own stuff wasnt working so she knows associating with him it will. Its not about when she started her career or what she did before him, no one is discrediting that she is a singer and has been working on it for years, its how she maintains her engagement up and so far its through being Sams gf. Can you genuinely tell me that without Sam she would be fine? She would have the same engagement? Same numbers? People would tune in and stay and not ask where he is because i dont think so, every other comment is about her possible marriage to Sam. just look at Devyn as an example, thought she had it and dropped merch and a channel and now her whole niche is just being coreys gf. Its not like Kat is non stop working on her own stuff either, then i would say sure shes her own independent self. The difference between her and stas is a title. She is actually a gf and Stas isnt but so far both have enjoyed the same benefits from being around the boys, trips, fancy dinners, fancy clubs only that kats benefits have an extension which include the houses. As for drinking, drinking socially is fine. When all you do is drink and it becomes a all day thing, and you find it ok to claim yourself an alcoholic as if this is not a major issue that kills people, and you know the majority of the people following you arent old enough to drink that is the problem. I remember last year when people said her and kat were hitting the bottle too much and that people had an issue with and quickly added their own experiences, but they say it in what they think is a joking cool way and suddenly thats fine, please. They are immature, the clickbait, the tweets, the baby voice, the provoking. Its all a tactic to draw the younger audience in but then she tries to act all sexy which is weird. I get if you like Kat but her being Sams gf doesnt mean she doesnt use his rise and platform for her benefit and to the point where her own content and creativity disappears because shes safe with his numbers. Her who she era and now are completely different.

Tho u’re also right, she’s doing a great job at being a tiktoker, so even without sam, that’s what keeps her going and it’s fine.

For the rest, if people really like her, they will definitely keep an eye on her. It’s on the fans who only follow her cuz she’s sam’s gf. If that works for her, that’s fine, but not everything is a success just bc she dates him. And obviously she benefits of some things, if my bf had Sam’s income he would treat me just the way Sam treats her (it’s a general saying, don’t come @ me saying that another guy wouldn’t do the same). If he likes spoiling her, then that’s fine, it’s his choice. And for real now, if she started having her own career, doesn’t matter how she got there, isn’t it normal for her to keep it going? Is she supposed to just stop bc she’s Kat Sam’s gf?

Clickbaiting is a lifestyle at this point, that gave so many youtubers a hot meal on the table every single day. It’s what sells and she knows it. Just because she makes vids with Sam doesn’t make her a social climber and that she uses him. She works on stuff and it’s not entirely her fault that she’s connected to him and obviously people assume he does everything for her to help her grow her platform. As of the redesign of the house, that pissed me off too and i knew people were gonna hate her approach 😂😂😂 and regarding the drinking, i’m way off that subject, cuz if they like showing off their cocktails oh well, but i don’t think they constantly keep in mind how old the people who watch them are.

anyway, as a conclusion, it goes back and forth, it depends on how u look at things. I don’t see her as doing something outrageous, she has a job and just lives in Sam’s shadow so everything correlates with him afterwards. She can’t stop being a content creator/singer, just bc she’s being accused of using him for views and stuff. When sam will feel like he adds too much to her bank account, he’ll back off. Sometimes we gotta keep in mind that they’ve been together for so long, it’s not a crime or even unusual saying that what’s mine is yours and vice versa. She doesn’t compel him to do anything he wouldn’t want to, let’s be honest.

Just want a winter soldier x reader fic. Not in a dark way. Like the reader may be anything. ( a civilian, a widow, a hydra experiment as well, another super soldier, etc) as long as she forms a healthy and loving bond with the winter soldier. She’s there when his memory is wiped, she is also there when winter is agonized, May it be from the physical torture or the emotional nightmare. She’s just there for Bucky even if he was still winter. And some odd reasons? Winter never touched her wrongly bc there’s this love somewhere in his heart, telling him to protect instead of harm. Is it really winter? Or bucky? Or is it both? No matter. Because when the civil war happens and Bucky was freed, she was forgotten. Left behind. (I’d like to imagine maybe she is anyone who works within stark companies, better if she was also like a person whom has lived 50+ years but don’t age)

Now as Bucky was freed, she gets to see Bucky live a new life. Broken and beaten still, but new, nonetheless. It was like her times and years with winter was all in her head. Ay some point, she almost believed it was all just some lousy dream. But it is true. There life together, though filled with pain and sorrow for the majority of winter’s existence, was very much real.

She wanted and tried telling Bucky privately. But she has no proof. How can she prove herself to Bucky? But what it just did was to cause a big rift between them. Bucky, the ever trust issues and broken guy, knows of her feelings for him. He thinks that it’s absurd that they had those moments together. He thinks she’s doing it to ruin his current healthy and happy relationship. He thinks that she’s just jealous of his girl that she created a massive detailed story of a fairytale life. And to be honest, she also almost believed it. Nevertheless, Bucky disliked her then on. And So she had to watch Bucky find his girl and settle. Not settle as in marry. But just, look at the girl as if she hung the stars and the moon for him whipped.

Until. One line. He heard specific line that had him reeling, had him have flashes of memories. (Idk what specific line, your choice!) it was something that she says to reassure and comfort winter.

Instead of nightmares, it was their memories together when he was still winter. But no. He doesn’t want it. First it reminds him of winter, and second, he doesn’t like her. At all. Third, why would he want her when he has his girl.

What he doesn’t know tho, that she was the reason why he was freed from the shackles of hydra (kinda want her to sacrifice something for Bucky, only to be bitches slapped by Bucky later on for being “jealous”)

Bucky tried to ignore it. But the more he ignored, the more memories come. And he gets angrier?

No. Bucky being newly freed, his emotions are all mixed and fucked. He’s feeling this intense emotion, passion. But he mistakes it for anger.

Then, idk how to continue the story 😭

I just want the reader and Bucky to end up together, Bucky being so so so whipped, happy, and in love to finally be with his safe space, his home. I want Bucky to grovel before that, ofc. Then he becomes this somewhat possessive, jealous, and needy boyfriend (but ofc with healthy boundaries) or maybe with the intensity of his love, he doesn’t want to wait around. Maybe he might think that the majority of his life as winter, he was with you. And the next step is marriage, since he was already your partner and boyfriend before.

(Some ideas for ending:

Reader dates new guy. Bucky gets various flashbacks Bc everyone reader is doing, was also done onto him before. It makes him utterly jealous. (Cue Deja vu by Olivia rodrigo) then shit happens, they get their happy ending. OR IT COULD BE THE OTHER WAY AROUND he unconsciously relives their relationship but with his new girl. He’s confused cause it doesn’t feel right wit her. Then again, flashbacks. Then he realizes something, then happy ending!

Hi! I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a request to write something, so I feel honor that you sent me this.

I actually have a Winter Soldier x OFC fic I’ve written……and will some day get back to hit because it was a bit darker, would have some twists here and there, and a relationship that may have started out a bit rocky/edgy only because they didn’t know how to truly communicate (and I mean literally) right off the bat. And over time things get revealed about the OFC and her past and having a connection with Hydra she doesn’t truly know about. It’s still a WIP, but I swear I will finish it one day.

I also don’t feel like I could do this request justice because it’s not typically up my alley of writing with some of the aspects :/

With that said, I can barely find the willpower and energy to even finish the current fic I’m working on, Delicate Stages of Life (that’s two chapters away from being done), that I don’t currently have the time or mental capacity to write anything new :(

I’m so sorry! I hope you can find someone to write it for you! Or you can even try writing it yourself and you’ll never know how awesome it’ll turn out!

so y’all . I know from the shxt I post I prob sound toxic asf but I’m actually a deeply understanding person. I wanna tell y’all a bit ab myself so u can understand me better

I’ve been to mental hospitals 6 or 7 times I can’t remember which but def 6 at least and not 8 times so in between there. I’ve been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder , complex ptsd and major depressive disorder and i grew up moving around a lot. I went to a lot of different schools and never kept friends for long . I always just cut ppl off. Or ruined things bc I could.

those times I went to hospitals, I probably wouldn’t have went if I had someone to talk to abt what was going on, my mom couldn’t handle all of my issues and never listened to me. she’d get overwhelmed and so I turned to sh and s0bstances , a lot of them..

I’ve been completely sober for over a month now and on nov.12 it’ll be 2 months!!!!! it might not sound like long to some ppl but for me, I used to party so much, every single day, and used s0bstanzes recklessly . one time I d1ed and had to be brought back to l1fe at the emergency room bc of an od.

I’ve been given another chance at life and I want to be happy. The happiest times of my life in these 19 years so far have been when I was at my lw…

I’m not sharing that fact to encourage anyone to l0se lbs or to say u won’t be happy unless ur th1n . ur perfect the way u r. but for me, even tho I was diagnosed w atypical Ana (atypical bc my body weight isn’t underweight but everything else aligns with “normal” Ana. idk. I rly don’t understand it but the way I was treated made me feel so special. I’ve never felt more special and beautiful than when I was at my lw and that is my motivation.

I just wanted to share a little bit ab myself here bc I’m still pissed ab this girl I talked ab in a post a few hrs or so ago, the girl claiming she was in recovery and she didn’t like that I said recovery triggers me.

it made me mad bc I felt misunderstood. She said my post saying recovery triggers me was stupid asf.

but it’s not, to me. it never will be. I didn’t say that to be trendy or whatever she thought, or to be pro. I’m not pro except for myself , and i mean that. I look at ppl with so much love and respect no matter their weight.

it’s just with myself, I have experienced two completely separate lives. one when I was overweight, and one when I was at my lw. and the feelings I had then, I want back so badly. THAT is why I’m here on tumblr.

also to be there if anyone needs someone to talk to. it would make me feel better to be able to use what I’ve been through to be able to help someone else bc I’ve been through so much terrible shxt I couldn’t control and was dragged into by my family growing up. I just wanna be that person I wish I had to talk to during those hard times.

it doesn’t matter if nobody understands bc nobody is me, but I wanted to explain myself just bc I can. there is logic and emotion behind my actions , and I was triggered by that girl. she’s like so many ppl who tell me I don’t need to lose weight.

when ppl tell me I’m fine the way I am , it just makes me feel like they don’t see the happiness I see in me being th1n, which in turn makes me feel very alone.

ofc I hope someone reads even just a part of this post, bc I rly wanna feel seen and understood, not just some wannabe sk1nni girl.

the emotions I feel are very real and although what I post about may seem shallow, the feelings behind my posts run very deep.

i could write a whole dissertation on a thorough analysis on levi’s character tbh

i mean :( this man who quite literally came from nothing, fighting to live and losing everything he loves along the way, no matter what he does to protect them. because of his strength he feels SO much responsibility that even things out of his control are in the end his fault, things he needs to avenge.

like kenny leaving him?? levi thought it was bc he didn’t live up to his potential enough, he he became determined to be the strongest.

izzy and farlan?? he blamed his pride until erwin convinced him it was the titans. it became his mission in life to kill them all and make erwin’s dream realized.

his original squad?? levi was Very Clear when he told annie how he planned to torture her and make her regret what she did. this conflict was retconned in s4p2 convince me otherwise

he thinks the way eren turned out was his fault (him being levi’s responsibility from the start). his 30 comrades in the forest?? levi thinks he should have sussed out the poisoned wine. not to mention those times he let zeke get away.

baby feels he has NO worth other than his ability to fight. he is willing to become the worst person on earth if erwin’s dream can come true, and he even let erwin rest bc of the devil he was becoming even tho he believed it would doom humanity.

levi is simply. the most selfless character and also the most beautiful and brave and complex and badass. idek what else to say. ultimate blorbo status.

it’s SO much more than his looks dkvnsn canonically he looks so tired all the time and he’s so small that isayama cuts him off in most panels dkfnehfjr. ppl love to imagine levi tall but that’s just weird to me lmao. it doesn’t fit him at all. i think a large part of his character represents humanity’s strength itself as small but mighty hehe

i didn’t even Notice levi the first time i watched aot a million years ago?? but i think the type of person i am, i’m more attached to emotionally unavailable ppl who are v strong and v damaged. that’s mommy and daddy issues for u.

is levi my highest kin ever??? yes. abandonment issues? check. super awkward and cannot read social cues to save my life? also yes. emotionally constipated. loyal to a fault. always moving forward despite living thru a hell that would ruin other ppl?? this also. trauma. acts like the embodiment of a brick wall which behind waits the most sensitive person you’ve ever met?????? u bet.

i may or may not have latched onto aot in general when life was Awful so now aot is somehow my comfort show and him as my comfort character😭 i don’t think i can escape tbh

ONTO OTHER THINGS… the only reason majority of conflicts in aot existed (s2 as a whole, the rumbling fights, the yeagerists uprising in s4) was bc levi was somehow out of commission, injured, or had a plot excuse to not be there. such a waste imo.

absolutely got done dirty by fans who saw the 1 (one) scene from s1 when levi beat up eren TO PROVE THAT HE COULD HANDLE HIM as their sole proof that levi is a sadistic unfeeling asshole. those ppl watched the anime with their ass.

and please do not get me started on shipping levi with literal children and even incestually with his own cousin. gross.

lastly, irl i would be fuxking petrified to be around a stoic awkward person like him at first,,, but if shown 1 sign of who levi actually is i will fall immediately in love. i don’t make the rules.

Kurt Glee Rewatch: Vitamin D

Not a lot of Kurt this ep, but damn, guess it’s canon he’s done drugs now lol

Lol at least Kurt is practicing his spins. You gotta spot yourself, babe.

Also, Kurt giving 0 fs about Will teaching, just scrolling through his phone.

I feel like Will can sense that Kurt is so done with him, so he makes zero effort. I legit can’t think of a single moment where the two connect? In s2 they talk? But it’s not that heartfelt and mainly Kurt calling him out on being complacent.

And I totally get Kurt wanting to be on the girls team. Puck (and prob the other footballers tho I’d like to think Mike and Matt weren’t involved) regularly bully him, why the hell would Kurt want to spend more time with them?

I do get the sense that Kurt loves Glee club, loves his new friend group, but would have no issue with Will being replaced bc oof

Lowkey a fan of this look. And I love the eyeroll at Puck. Even as they all change, Kurt is never really close to Puck, don’t even have a legit conversation, and that’s fair bc Puck was one of the main bullies at the start.

Although, I do wish there was growth in Kurt getting to hang with the glee guys? We got the Kurt and Finn brother arc? But (esp with that stupid s3 moment Kurt dedicates his song to the guys) It would be interesting to see the guys learning to not just accept him, but actually spend time with him etc. I’ll def go into this more in later seasons...

Can we just appreciate his expression here omg. Also love how he’s the only one who wears a scarf bc ofc

And then after the song all the guys celebrate and Kurt is off to the side but then Mike Chang goes over to include him which is so sweet. Wish we saw them have a conversation.... ever.

No but really, besides Finn, Kurt doesn’t talk to the guys. There’s Duets with Sam? But guess Kurt was scared off bc they never talk again til s5. Ugh.

Love that he helps the girls out bc valid, there the only ones who are his actual friends.

Also, that comment about wanting exotic bird feathers.... I’ve done a heavy breakdown of all his fashion and he has never worn feathers?? I feel like a lot of his more flamboyant looks (heels, tiaras, corset...) are all off screen?

Maybe part is Chris Colfer declining (which, fair, he was getting enough hate for playing Kurt), but also they’ll add in these stereotypes as a joke when Kurt... really isn’t that girly?

Kurt’s look when Rachel says ‘sexual hunger of modern teens’ lol. And then he puts on sunglasses bc... sunshine? Was that scripted bc lowkey seems like a Chris move.

Will say, I kinda liked the girls better? But just bc the song choices were v fun. Poor Jenna tho, has permanent neck pain bc of this performance.

I know this is them on drugs, but in general there are soo many group performances done ‘for fun’ that are better than majority of their competition songs like gosh.

And now Sue joins, sadly don’t have their unlikely (sorta) friendship yet.

Also, totally agree with Figgins about Will’s obsession with victory no matter the cost influencing the kids, but then his solution is Sue? Who’s... just as obsessed?

And Will is disappointed in the kids? Last ep he brought in an alcoholic who was way older then him and who flirted with teenage boys. And they didn’t think they were really doing something wrong, they were trusting their nurse? Like, they’re kids and most of this is them being failed by the adults around them.

I do wonder if parents were informed bc omg imagine Burt finding out. Prob not, bc school doesn’t want to get in trouble.

Being Chuuya's Little Sis

First off, he loves his little sis more than anything.

Doesn't matter whether or not you're blood related or not.

You could even be older than him, but it wouldn't matter.

You're his little sis, and that's that.

(Especially if you act younger.)

No matter how much you might annoy him, he'll be there through it all.

(But still grumbles about every prank you've ever pulled on him.)

Just stay away from Dazai.

If you ever hung out with Dazai, or worse, dated him...

Chuchu would feel so betrayed.

(And would obviously murder Dazai.)

"(Y/N)! WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DATE THAT DAMNED DAZAI OF ALL PEOPLE?!?!? WAIT- Don't leave... (Y/N)! Ah jeez, fine... I'm sorry for yelling. Just stay here while I go kill that bastard."

Essentially, any time Dazai is caught anywhere near you, wherever

Chuuya previously was, all that's left is a crater as he gets ready to make Dazai's wish come true.

Also, you're the only one allowed to call him silly nicknames.

He'll die a little bit every time you call him short tho.

Pls never do it in front of Dazai or his coworkers. (Unless you're really trying to kill him.)

With embarrassing stuff, he'll complain, but gets soo soft inside every. single. time. you call him by that.

As an older brother, he'll be pretty sweet and protective.

Still, he won't just cave to your every whim.

He'll make sure you earn whatever you get and that you don't end up super spoiled.

(But still enjoys getting you stuff every so often.)

Chuuya will definitely mother over you and can get kinda stern when you do dumb things or get into trouble.

He just worries.

Chuuya says that he'll stay out of his sister's business where he's not wanted, but as soon as his lil sis gets her first crush....

Well, you can bet that they're going to get interrogated.

(You still haven't forgiven him for the time he scared off your date for calling him short.)

If you manage to somehow get him on your side, then he'll be your top supporter!

But if they ever break your heart, Chuuya will let you decide whether or not you want him involved.

But if they're toxic, they're not making it out of there alive. NOBODY hurts his little sister.

Still, he'll be prepared to let you vent to him with blankets, ice cream and whatever else you want/like.

He's pretty observant, so even if you say nothing, he'll get there's something up.

Chuuya won't try to pressure you into talking, he really just wants it to be your decision whether or not you confide in him.

If you do decide to tell him what's up, he may have trouble staying calm, just because he wants to kill whoever or whatever is causing you issues.

Despite that, he knows that him getting upset isn't what you need, so will do his best to keep those bubbling feelings down.

Chuuya isn't going to say things he doesn't mean just to make you feel better though.

He'll tell you what he thinks, not too harshly, but he won't sugarcoat anything either.

Overall, he's a great person to come to if you're having problems.

You guys also can be pretty chaotic together.

You NEVER let him near your phone, bc you DO NOT want him to find the sheer number of embarrassing photos you have of him.

If he ever found them, he would DEFINITELY do everything in his power to destroy them.

Despite that, he also has his fair share of pictures of you.

His favorites are ones where you guys are just hanging out.

Chuuya likes the way everything in it just feels so natural.

Whatever your interests are, he'll try to support you best he can.

Still, he doesn't really want you to get involved in anything dangerous.

Meaning, he likely will take quite awhile to tell you that he's in the mafia.

He knows you'll find out eventually, but the way he sees it, the more you know, the more danger you're in.

This also means that if there's any major event going on in the mafia that might get you into trouble by affiliation, he'll likely distance himself from you.

Either way, it's easy to tell when he lies, just because he hates not being able to tell you the truth.

If you call him out on it, he'll likely tell you that he'll explain at a later date and that you shouldn't worry about it.

Of course, you do worry, but decide to press the issue later.

All in all, Chuuya is a great older brother figure, and will always put himself between you and whatever is bothering you.

° Two-bit seems like another likely candidate, though, in my personal opinion, he doesn’t seem to be incredibly serious about Kathy or likely to be the type to be serious and settle down any time soon. It’s been a week since the finales and while I’m over the moon about fire, I’m still so conflicted over pd, specifically Adam and how he talked to Kevin.

I know they’re brothers and the show will have them get over this, but if my white friend said what Adam did? I wouldn’t look at them the same way. I’d lose a lot of love/respect that I had for them.

And a lot of people (of a certain color) are saying it’s not a big deal because of the situation? But like those are his real thoughts, his filter is just gone. Maybe I’m just being too sensitive tho.

I’d love to hear your take on this. If your comfortable sharing it.

I've been thinking of this ask all day, of how to answer it. Because honestly, I have SO many thoughts on this, but I was debating if I should say them all or just sum up but I decided that I'm just gonna speak my mind!!

I, too, have a lot of complexed and conflicting thoughts over this. And I have to say, with stuff like this, with racial issues, you can NEVER be too sensitive.

Firstly, I agree. Kev and Adam are brothers, and the show will have them get over this, it wouldn't be realistic otherwise. But I really do hope they do it in a good, believable and decent way. Because I also agree with what you said about if my white friend said that shit? A little bit of my love and respect for them would be forever tarnished-- at least until I see some REAL improvement, which would take a minimum of a year to properly heal.

This fandom is a real good fandom, but yeah, I HAVE seen a lot of white fans not treating this like the big deal it is. The majority DO accept it's a big deal, but at the same time, they don't seem to truly get just how big, like how they think Kevin and Adam will have to move on from this is quite watered down.

Now, where I stand:

I watched cpd for Kim, Adam and Kev. I got into it for Burzek, and fell so hard in love with Kevin immediately. So when Kevin and Adam fight, I find it really hard because they're my boys! But it's necessary, and I think will help them become even more tight once Adam gets his head screwed on straight.

I do agree that they're his "real thoughts", but my take is that it's a little more complicated than that. Like Adam is a bit of a hothead, and that moment? He was more scared than he's ever been, and Kev, in his mind, is the only other person who loves Kim as much so when Kev did what Adam took as a "betrayal", Adam was angry. And that was shitty. And he should be accountable for that, AND for what he said.

But I think calling them his real thoughts is a little simplistic. They're thoughts that's going to be in his mind a lot, obviously, because Adam doesn't fully get this. So there's two layers to this:

One: People say things out of anger. I've got a temper, and I keep it under control obviously, but it's there, and when you're angry, especially betrayed and hurt, you just want to hurt people the same way you are. And when it's someone you really, really love? You say things you have maybe thought when you were a little annoyed but rationality won and reminded you it's a stupid thought, things that you KNOW will hurt.

And I think that's what this was. Obviously you do this, no matter what the reason, you need to fucking apologize and grovel. Like I'm not saying you shouldn't because I really don't think that. Especially as someone who's said really hurtful things out of anger, I PASSIONATELY believe that you should be held to a high standard about your actions. Because anger is not good, it's an ugly emotion, and you have to fight it.

Two: I definitely think those things are stuff Adam has thought before. I mean, thoughts in anger rarely appears out of nowhere, they're there in the background. But this isn't necessary a bad thing, or makes Adam a bad person. Like we ALL have less than nice thoughts, it's human nature.

And for Adam, he tries, he really does, but the man just Does Not Get all the deep complexities of the police reform. So I think his stance is, he doesn't get it, but he goes along. There's been those times he's argued, but I think most of the time when he's confused, he kinda just...has one of those thoughts but doesn't express it because he KNOWS it's more complicated than that, even if he doesn't understand it.

So when Kevin and Adam fought, Adam got ANGRY, because he felt scared and betrayed, and that's when he voiced all these thoughts he's thought before but kept inside because even though he doesn't understand why or how, he knows it's more complicated. But he was angry because Kim was in danger, and suddenly, it didn't seem logical or rational to keep by book.

Okay so now I've said that, onto what I think this means and how I want this go moving forward.

Adam was a jerk. What he said to Kevin was such a low blow, and things are going to be fractured between those two. And I think nothing Adam feels towards Kev has changed, but I do think they'll be that little emptiness in Kev, because hearing your white best friend say that? Ugh. Pain.

In a general sense, I think they'll be fine. But they can't be as close as they were, without Kevin feeling some sort of distance without any closure.

So in season nine, we definitely need our boys to have a conversation. And not just one, but several. And we need to see Adam make some actual changes to his beliefs. Not just half assing it bc he knows he's wrong even if he doesn't understand the complexities of why, but actually challenging his own beliefs and learning.

I think one of my main problems with this fandom (the white fans) is how much emphasis is put on both Adam and Kev seeking each other out to have a conversation. That's just wrong-- Adam should be the one. None of this, fixing this, educating Adam is on this is NOT in any way, shape or form is on Kevin.

What Adam said is hurtful, and I think Kevin still loves Adam, still sees him as his brother. But siblings don't always get along, or even like each other, even if there's that I'll-die-for-you love. And I think that's where Kevin is at. Adam hurt him, and that's gonna do some damage, and so even though Kev does understand, he's not gonna seek him out or try to fix it AS HE SHOULDN'T, because that onus is purely on Adam's shoulders.

Like. I think what white fans don't get is just how exhausting it is always having to understand, always having to be patient. Like yeah white people don't get the ins and outs like we do, so we're forced to always be understanding bc while we have to learn these things from our first days, they're just learning now. But it's exhausting, so that's why I really hope they have Adam seek Kev out, not have Kev approach him to talk about this.

(it's always why I love how they had Kevin full on yeet Adam, and beat the crap out of him. Poc always have been portrayed as patient when cruel remarks are hurled at us from people we love in anger, and I'm happy they showed Kevin snapping. Bc that was not on, and Kevin was just as worried about Kim, and Adam implying otherwise is wrong. It's also though why I also love that as soon as they were pulled apart, Kev stopped fighting/looking so angry quicker than Adam).

Like I'd be okay with Kev just saying, simply, to Adam "you don't ever say that stuff to me again." And that's that. But for them to actually have a conversation about this, has to come from Adam and HAS to start with an apology.

And Adam has to actively do better. Like no more just accepting things are different even if he doesn't understand, he HAS to learn everything, all the ins and outs, all the complexities, until he lives and breathes it as much as any white man can. Because I can't see Kevin having what was fracture ever feeling completely solid again without that.

And I do like that the show went there, because it's necessary and I think it's the best position for Adam to realise just how Shitty he was. Because Kim was found-- by the book. Like most of his anger was from how in the past, they've gotten their results by being off book, so I think in Adam's mind, he thinks that's the best way to secure safety. But it was by the book that found Kim, and I think that will really make Adam realise that these enforced policies DON'T make it harder to secure their own safety.

Also, Adam's presumably going to spend a lot of time around Makayla, and so forth, will probably get a lot of firsthand experience of seeing racism or it's affects. Like I know we wish he'd see if bc of Kev, and he does with a lot, just not other stuff, but it's different when you're seeing it through the eyes of a little kid, not a grown adult. And I think this will make Adam a lot more humble, which will help patch things up between him and Kevin.

And then there's Kim. People often forget how when you have multiple white friends, when you're hurt, your more knowledgeable friend steps in. Kim gets this stuff a lot more than Adam, even if she can never understand like Kev, and so I can COMPLETELY see her teaching Adam more stuff. Like because she'd want to help her boys, because Adam's a part of Makayla's life, because Kevin shouldn't HAVE to be the one to educate Adam, whereas Kim can bring him up to her own level, and that's when they rely on Kev.

So I think overall, I'm not that conflicted over PD because I'm really hoping this will spark deeper conversations and that Adam will grovel and fix his ignorant stances. And I hope to god they let Kevin heal and forgive in the way he should be allowed to.

I have a LOT more thoughts on this, including how I hate that they only show Adam's ignorance when a lot of the unit is also Not Great, and about partnerships and how Jay and Kev should be going forward. But this is getting really long now, so I won't delve into that or this any further. But I might, especially if it's wanted, because I have so many thoughts.
