did godzilla minus one win at the oscars?

it's nominated - the Oscars themselves haven't happened yet

but the fact that it got nominated AT ALL is fucking HUGE. A Godzilla film has NEVER been nominated for an Oscar before. EVER. Godzilla's been around since the fucking 1950s.

It deserved more than just the One nomination, if you ask me, but I'm so happy to see it get nominated.

Now if it doesn't win, I WILL rage.

Little thought‚ while I think we may see Callum as an archmage in an epilogue I doubt they will be able to show he getting the rest of arcanums in just two seasons, maybe just Moon and Star.

So since they have been releasing more graphic novels I guess we might see him getting them in one or two of these. Sequel/midquel comics of arc 2 would be great in my opinion!

Lately I have been thinking along the lines of “What kinda developments I would put in ROTTMNT Season 3″. And I have multiple. I will fantasize about these, and pray to cartoon gods that some sunny day we’ll get more ROTTMNT.

Okay, so, in ROTTMNT Season 3 I would wanna see

- More Casey, obviously(both of them). Cassandra is my fave version of Casey, and also the funniest, and I’d love to see what direction she’d take now that she isn’t in the Foot clan. I’m rooting for her becoming a badass vigilante, along with her son. And it’d be an interesting plot to explore do the boys tell Cassandra that Casey is the son of her alternate universe self or not XD Donnie prolly would wanna tell her just to see if it would destroy the space-time continuum. 

- Few of our fave mutants Bebop and Rocksteady. Not for any particular reason, it’d just be a fun cameo and they kinda teased it in the series only to do a “Sike!” XD Tho I imagine that if they didn’t put them in the series before they had a reason for it. ROTTMNT did seem to prefer being it’s own thing without doing much riding on the earlier versions

- The Kraang. I mean, the female one was left on Earth. But! I would actually go with the “evil Kraang, good Kraang” route that 2003 took (tho they were Utroms in that one). I think it might be a fun plot, where the boys encounter other Kraang, but they’re the good ones and wanna help destroy the last remaining evil Kraang. But the boys don’t trust them (for very good reasons), and because of that the last evil Kraang escapes and starts to wreak havoc. And only when the boys begin trusting the good Kraang do they defeat the evil Kraang and kill her.

- An episode, or multiple episodes, about the boys working through their PTSD. ‘Cos, c’mon. After season 2 and the movie they need a shitload of therapy. And if they can’t get that then they need to have A Talk(TM). We need to acknowledge trauma and tho the boys sometimes don’t seem it, they’re kids. Even in the movie Raph is only 17, and Mikey is 15. To me, that’s still a kid, and at the very least, way too young to have to go through that shit. Let’s at least try to help our boys and Splints and April AND Casey Jr. out and give them the family bonding/therapy episodes they need. And lots of hugs! Even Donnie, when he feels like he’s up for it.

- This is a thing I DON’T necessarily wanna see, and that’s Leo officially being a leader of the team. I have explained my reasons why that is in my earlier posts and don’t have the energy to explain why again here, so if anyone is even remotely interested why, y’all can go read my previous post. It should be one or two posts previous to this one.

- Also, maybe not specifically in season 3, but I would love another Turtles Forever with the chaotic Rise gang added to the bunch. It’d be comedy gold to see the other turtles see them, especially all the Leos and Raphs XD Mikeys would just become a big merry, adorable gang and I would wanna snuggle them all~ (Mikey is best turtle <3)

we cry "the innocent women and children" to appeal to the masses, to try and force their sympathy, but the men and boys are innocent too.

I have seen sons crying out for their mothers, their fathers, their siblings. I have seen them break down at the loss of their families. I have seen them cling to their dead and grieve.

I have seen fathers cradle their dead children, seen them kiss their faces and hold their little hands. I have seen them faint with grief when asked to identify the dead. I have seen them carry their sons and daughters. I have seen them fasting to provide what little they can for their families.

I have seen men and boys digging through the rubble with just their bare hands, I have seen them comforting strangers, playing with children, rocking them, hushing them, even if the face of such imminent danger. I have seen them cry, seen them grieve, seen them break down into each other's arms, seen them be selfless, beyond selfless, becoming something I don't have a word for.

I have seen the men who are doctors refuse to leave their patients, even when they have no medicine or supplies to give them, even when they're threatened with bombings. I have seen fathers who have lost all their children pick orphans up into their arms and proclaim them their child so they are not alone. I have seen men and boys digging pets out of the rubble.

the men are innocent too. the men and boys are being hurt and killed too. the men and boys are grieving too. the men and boys are scared too. the men and boys are fighting to save their people too. the men and boys deserve to be fought for too.

cant tell you how bad it feels to constantly tell other artists to come to tumblr, because its the last good website that isn't fucked up by spoonfeeding algorithms and AI bullshit and isn't based around meaningless likes

just to watch that all fall apart in the last year or so and especially the last two weeks
