Now that I've finally managed to put on some weight I've realized that when I wear a sports bra instead of just looking completely flat chested it kinda looks like I have pecs and now I am absolutely determined to get buff enough to make that a reality. All these years of being confused about why my dysphoria as a nonbinary person made me simultaneously upset that my boobs were too small and that I had boobs at all and it turns out that all I wanted all along was to have honkin men's tits but we just hadn't invented the concept of fat daddy milkers yet. Hello! I am doing quite okay ahaha, I fell ill right at the beginning of the year and that actually explains my return to writing just a bit bc I had 0 energy for anything else. I just sat and wondered about the nation's husband here for a bit, so apologies if some of these are kind of a stretch!

♡ Misc. Dino Cavallone Headcanons ✧

He went from having a fear of horses to becoming a horse girl. I like to imagine that his parents may have had an interest in riding (or that the Cavallone family literally fixes horse races for shady $$), so there would be these huuge beautiful top of the line horses at their personal stable.. however, he was absolutely terrified of them and was too afraid to look them in the eye, much less ride one, until Reborn forced him to face his fear; He's fallen on his ass and been kicked in the face more times than he can count, but as he slowly learned that horses were just big skittish animals that needed to be treated with love and respect, he began to love riding and working with horses and down the line earned the nickname "Bucking Horse/Bronco".

Dino loved the Barbie movie, he is extremely Alancoded. And his all-out cowboy barbie outfit (lowkey Reborn made him do it) drew too much attention at the theatre, to the point that some kids were calling him Ken and asking for photos. He ✨served💅 the public that day.

I refuse to believe that Dino was an only child and he turned out so well?!? He's extremely older-brother coded, I would bet my life that he has at least one younger sister or half-sister (though arguably Tsuna is his non-blood brother) that he just doted on until idk she prob kaboomed and wasn't used as a plot device

He's a tall man, has type O blood, he should be donating it because he's such a good person, right? He did once! He passed out and is a little nervous about going back again.. to think that he has a whole tattoo sleeve..

Some of his tattoos are actually coverups!? He never planned to get a full sleeve, but needed to cover up some shitty flash he got in his younger days. He decided to get something bolder and flashier to cover it, but then the rest of his arm being bare just bothered him.. so he added elements until uh oh, it's a full sleeve that goes all the way to the back of his hand. Despite being a pretty boy his entire life, he seems like the type to have had some img issues and regrets with his initial tattoos (he got them just bc he thought it would make him cool and tough), covered them up and felt like he looked too shady.. and then learned to love them and embrace them as art. He likes the asymmetry of how heavily inked one side of him is, and is considering a big ankle/calf/thigh and maybe a hip piece on the opposite side leg to balance it out, but he's a bit nervous about the pain (I giggle). Sometime between the "present time" of the KHR timeline and TYL, he adopted a shorter haircut and learned how to style it from Reborn! They got more time to reconnect as Reborn became less busy with shaping Tsuna into the "perfect mafia boss" or whatever and began to lengthen the kite string gradually.

Dino is a total softie at heart, and has moments where he cut people slack that other mafioso, especially older bosses, would not have. His men love him because he is strong and they know his heart is right, but whatever softness he had in his early 20's he had to shake off real hard as time went on.

Because of all the mental and physical work it takes for him to do his job, sometimes he wants nothing more than to be babygirled for once, and literally nobody knows but just maybe Romario has an inkling.. the sense that it may be the case.

i have not gotten so many hc asks in one day before its making me very happy. (i have not answered some of them sorry :( )

whether characters are trans or cis is usually up to interpretation. but those where i think their AGAb does factor into their identity/how i write them, i will say so

also, this is just vibes and whatever. like. im explaining their gender how i understand it. i know like two terms for gender. yes and no.

anyways

Avra/Aphmau. Gender = whatever you perceive. typically that's she/her, due to her being very feminine presenting, but sometimes someone'll smell the gender-fluidity and say something else. based off of me bc its fun. Any pronouns. Skinchanger, which may impact it.

Garroth. Gender = a man but only bc he was told so. What would he identify as if he felt confident enough to explore his identity? Who knows. but he was told he was a dude, so that's what he's sticking with. May be confused if you refer to him with she/her pronouns, but he's not uncomfortable with it. He/him, maybe he/She, AMAB.

Laurence. Gender = if a woman was a man. He's a dude, but in the way a woman would be. He/she/they.

Aaron. Gender = He is babygirl. His pronouns are she/her (reference). his gfs will refer to him using solely feminine terminology. his actual identity? no one knows. he doesnt. and it shouldn't matter bc you shouldn't be talking about him anyways. He feels very she/her to me, but i instinctively refer to him as he/him. Settling on She/he but it feels inaccurate.

Katelyn. Gender = girl? maybe? she's not sure. She/her but maybe She/they? Mostly feminine terminology, but does enjoy masc honourifics more (sir, dad, husband, etc.)

Travis. Gender = the manliest man. he/him, AFAB. Shapeshifter, doesn't impact his gender at all.

Lucinda. Gender = tits. She/her, refers to her tits as 'the girls'. Whether or not she is a girl by extension is not the point.

Nicole. Gender = i refer to him as Nico(le) on discord. Afab, He/Him, mega fucking buff. Was pretending to be a twink as of s1, then had to come out as a girl, and then showed up as a bear in s2, because he's a big strong man. Dmitri still calls him mom, though, which was Nico's idea in the first place, just because it felt more fitting.

unpopular opinion: i think understandably and naturally people tend to focus on positives when making fan material (i do it too like 90% of my sketches are cutesy shipping art lol) but i'd also like to see more of him being flawed? like i feel like a big part of the appeal of him as a character is the 'healing from trauma and starting anew' theme, and healing is so difficult and messy and nonlinear, not something that gets resolved by falling in love over the course of like nine months, you know? but i don't really fault people for not exploring that, it's just something i'd be interested to see more of (':

favorite relationship: zevwarden naturally😌 especially in the context of wardens with a similar desire to die, where they can sort of figure out how to want to live again together

favorite headcanon: i've been poking around in the toolset and looking at the differences between the m and f romances and i think there's a case to be made for a reading where there's an element of internalized homophobia and/or trauma impacting how he looks at relationships with men that goes beyond generally preferring women. his gendered dialog with men tends to be more physical than emotional, there are instances where suggestive gendered dialog alludes to violence with m wardens and not f, he makes some skeptical comments abt the idea of being in a relationship with a man. i don't have evidence at hand and i certainly don't think everyone Should think this way or anything, i just find it interesting to think about preferences and how they can be impacted by experience in the context of being bi, and how it could both complicate and enrich an mwarden relationship
