That one tear that Rex shed is actually so important to his character. It comes directly after a rant about having to kill the closest thing he's ever had to family so that him and his friend can live. As a soldier it's frowned upon for him to show weakness. But there he is, feeling like he can show his emotions in front of Ahsoka. Okay, she had to remove his bucket for it to be visible. But it shows how strongly he felt during Order 66, how much pain he was in while watching his brothers (even ones he wasn't close to) try to kill him.

Imagine how painful it was when he realised he should've listened to Fives and how differently everything could've gone if he'd just listened.

Maul *sneering at Rex*: I fear no man

*Ahsoka enters the room*

Maul *starts sweating*: Oh.

what’s your writing process like?

Ahh it's a mess basically but i usually start with a prompt/dialogue and think of a member who fits it, and then just... start the first sentence randomly and build everything from there. It also involves me going back again and again to add or cut things from the fic and then a lot of crying internally too lol. Alsooo taking notes whenever i think of sth. That's basically it lol
