im being so fucking for real and i need you guys to boost and reblog this
you nonblack selfshippers have got to stop using "simp." you have to. its african american vernacular english (aave) which in colloquial terms means its not for you to use. in a space already hostile towards shippers of color, youre just making it more inhospitable to black selfshippers by appropriating our language.
say youre crushing. say youre obsessed. say youre head over heels, say youre a sucker, say youre infatuated, just stop saying simp. for the love of god
{nonblack shippers [even other shippers of color] i do NOT want to hear your opinion on this post or hear about how you "didnt know" or are "changing it right now." just be an ally and LISTEN instead of needing to add your piece.}

Imagine turning over in your bed, your eyes still heavy and mind foggy. You had just woken up from a nap after a long day. As you try to sit up you rub your groggy eyes before noticing an extra weight on you.
A new, heavy blanket laid draped across your body. At first, you pick up part of the blanket, staring at it with a raised brow until the dots finally connect. You’re f/o must have come in to check on you while you were asleep. You feel a warm feeling in your chest as you continue to look at the blanket for a few moments before getting up, a bit more ready to continue your day with someone waiting for you <3

Me these past 364 days: So HBO’s really just going to go and forget about our show huh? They’re just never going to show anything? They’re just going to hold off until who knows when? They just want to promote everything else under the sun but not give our cast and crew the much deserved attention and spotlight? Cannot believe.
Me today now there’s actually a very real threat of getting something within 24-72 hours: FUCK FUCK WAIT IM NOT READY I TAKE IT BACK I TAKE IT BACK FUCK HANG ON WAIT A SECOND—

Kinda got a love/hate relationship with the history of K/S because it's like. Can I please have a queer discussion about this 1960s television show without it being reduced to "shipper discourse". I thought Spock and Kirk were homo long before I knew that their characters spawned a fanfiction counterculture. The bisexual dude who wrote the episode that really kick-started the movement didn't know it was going to coalesce into the fan phenomenon that it did, he was just writing what he knew how to write best: the repression of burning male desire, and two dudes doing homoerotic shit. Can I just talk about the repressed burning male desire please, and the implications of a gay angle to Kirk and Spock's story, without it being referred to as shipper discourse. Can I do that. Does this make sense

What I'm saying is, jumping from 1960's X-men to the 80's to the Phoenix Five arc did irreperable damage to my psyche but such an attachment to Scott Summers that I actually feel so fucking sick.
Like hate to break it to the girlies but it's incredibly easy to track Scott's arc from rule follower to him biting the hand that fed him and going full radical and it makes SENSE if you READ.
