“Charles! Where are you?” Y/N calls. Hearing rustling noises, she turns around and sees Charles in his tent.
“Over here dear, is there something wrong?” He lifts the tent flap, letting you in.
“I heard some… chatter during my walk in the city.”
Charles plops on his bed and rubs his neck. “What type of gossip did you hear from the city, half of it is nonsense anyways.”
Y/N huffs and crosses her arms.
“I heard that someone killed a pair of bison hunters, now normally I wouldn’t assume every dead body is from you guys, but this one felt a little… familiar.” She lingers on the last word, side-eyeing Charles.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about sweetpea. I’m not the only one who dislikes bison hunters.” He responded, picking up his gun and started to clean it.
“Y’know, you always kept your hands occupied when you had something to hide.”
Charles flinched “I haven’t cleaned my rifle in days, and I planned to clean it today anyways.”
Y/N had enough of him dodging answers. She knew it was a 90% chance that Charles shot the bison hunters. She wasn’t even upset, just wished he did the job a little more discreetly.
If regular questioning isn’t working, Y/N is gonna get the information out of him, her style.
She slides her hand onto Charles shoulder, leaning close into his ear, making his breath hitch.
“I’m not mad love, just tell me if you did it or not.”
He chuckles, before whispering back “Still don’t know what you’re talking about dear.”
That stubborn idiot.
“I’m sure you do.” She mumbles back.
Y/N kissed his neck, her lipstick staining his skin. She makes her way to the collarbone causing Charles to grip her dress while biting his lip. Smiling, she sneaks her hand under his shirt and runs her nails along his back, eliciting a moan from the man.
“So, it was you who killed the bison hunters hmm?” she questions again, biting his earlobe.
Charles was in a daze, skin on fire and every thought turned into mush. He mumbles a yes before burying his head onto her shoulder.
Y/N laughs, and runs her hand through his hair.
“Now that wasn’t so hard was it love?”
Charles didn’t lift his head out of embarrassment, knowing that all it took was a few kisses for him to let down his defenses.

here's what I feel happened with last twilight; they wanted to tell two different stories. reconnecting with an old love is a gorgeous idea and adding the re-adjustment of no longer being disabled to it could definitely work. that doesn't work as a random end to a story that has been all about growing together, seeing past prejudices and learning how to accept living with a disability however. it's not like you can only tell ONE disability story. if you want to show different experiences that don't work together in one show just make two or more shows (or add more fleshed out disabled characters :)).
