for both new & existing characters !!

• family- glorie is the 4th child of 6 siblings; the youngest two brothers are available (ages 23 & 25). the bolton family is the epitome of dysfunction. their eldest brother domeric was revealed to be a bastard who also killed their father. the second eldest was ruling lord for a brief time until he joined the umber cause, leaving glorie next in line instead of the next brother. there's a ton of tension with these new developments and it's utp whether or not they support their brother openly.

• friends/acquaintances/enemies- the bolton name has the uncanny ability to provoke hate due to the indiscretions of her predecessors and glorie isn't shy about defending her house. enemies can range from any number of people they've offended or had a rivalry with to personal matters from childhood til now. on that same note, glorie is looking to mend fences with said people/houses which can lead to at least an acquaintance connection. she was also very personable before the war and her losses so she would have made friends during her visits to other capitols or places in the north.

• allies & trade- glorie intends to use her new found status to elevate the dreadfort and it's many advantages. with a natural heat source that keeps food growing within green houses during even the harshest of winters (among other exports such as wood and cattle), she hopes creating direct trade with those who can help supply during the war with the umbers will put her ancestral seat and name in a better place than the past.

hi i have some disorganized thoughts/hcs abt the found family human doctor au

(one of the thoughts being i should really give it a better name. another being YES this is only the nuwho doctors atm bc that's the only series i've watched so far apologies. if i ever get around to watching classic who i will add them trust)

BEHOLD my random, not at all in-depth headcanons

nine is the only one with a car out of all of them. they all keep bugging him to drive/pick them up from places -- he has mixed feelings about being the assigned taxi driver

both twelve and eleven are teachers -- college professor and preschool teacher respectively. twelve's students love them because he will say the most stupid, hilarious shit with a straight face without even knowing and eleven's students love him because he is the only teacher at the school that will dance with them during musical chairs (he doesn't even play the game. he just dances)

i want to make one of them an actual doctor but i don't think any of them could handle it unfortunately

they all share an an apartment flat on the same level -- nine, twelve and fifteen live in one room, ten, eleven and thirteen live in the one across from them. of course there are other people in the building too but they're all used to the strange loud hyperactivity of that particular flat. i think i'm using the right terminology here. yall know what im talking about

(i'm so tempted to make some companions be their neighbors)

nine and ten are the most insomniac of all of them, so they're used to bumping each other in the dead of night on their way to raid each other's respective fridges or something. very rarely thirteen will join them and they're like "WELL FANCY SEEING YOU HERE"

twelve does sleep, but like. he's nocturnal

eleven and ten hate each other in a sibling kind of way (see: day of the doctor). they are constantly sending each other death threats or tripping each other over. everyone is sick of it

sometimes when they're out shopping you'll hear ten yell "GET OUT OF THE FROZEN FOOD YOU NUMPTY WE ARE NOT BUYING FISH FINGERS" over the aisles and you'll hear eleven whine "WHY DO YOU HATE ME SO MUCH" back

(if you're lucky you'll be able to catch fifteen mumble "why did we put them in the same apartment. are we asking for an eviction notice")

eventually eleven will pick a random stray cat off the side of the road, take her home, and name her bowtie, which is a stupid name, so everyone just defaults to calling her kitty

kitty's favourite person is twelve, to eleven's absolute despair

(my original idea for this was to initially have ten hate the idea of living with a cat, since he's stated full on in the show that he doesn't like cats, but apparently there is some very obscure doctor who comic run in which he falls into a depressive spiral and adopts a cat whom he names rose-the-cat, so he might actually like cats idk?)

anyway ten hates her until he doesn't lmao. he vents to her when there's no one else home and she will Stare at him back and it is a very nice friendship

kitty and nine watch shitty romcom together

they have a joint groupchat together -- half of it is just thirteen and fifteen assigning everyone outfits they find on pinterest and the other half is eleven asking where everyone went (he keeps getting lost when they go out)

nine doesn't know how to download pictures off the internet and so resorts to manually editing memes together to send to the groupchat and everyone's like "girl that's so much more effort........."

(yes he doesn't know how to press save image to camera roll but he knows how to use a photo editor flawlessly. such is the logic of the idiocy of the doctors)

eleven and thirteen get along very well i think. they're the only two of the group to play video games and so they bond over that. they also have ridiculously similar clothing taste

sometimes they'll succeed in getting fifteen to play pokemon with them and then they'll proceed to not see him until the next day when he comes out of his room and goes "you didn't tell me plusle couldn't evolve i've been levelling it up all fucking night"

friday is assigned movie night (it's always big hero 6)

eleven is the only one to actively seek out physical affection, usually really abruptly like clinging to thirteen's back as she passes him in the hall or bapping ten with the palm of his hand until he sighs and gives him a hug. he does expect a platonic kiss on the forehead from anyone before he goes to bed and will complain if he doesn't get one

anyway thats it i'm sick in the head and really sad. if this keeps up i may be forced to actually write a fic

Part 1 of the Linked Universe Winged Au! Starting the series off with the bird man himself, Sky!

In my headcanon, I believe that the people of Skyloft have a relationship with their Loftwings that is similar to the Air Nomads and Sky Bison in ATLA. Just like how the Sky Bison were the original Airbenders and the companions of the Air Nomads, the Loftwings were the ones that taught the people of Skyloft how to fly and remain as their "other halves" to this day.

This idea was taken from the canon dialogue in Skyward Sword that states, "Skyloftians consider themselves to be one half of a pair until they are made whole by the Loftwings. When a Skyloftian is young, they meet their bird companion under the Statue of the Goddess. Having a Loftwing and being able to ride it separates the kids from the adults."

This sign of a Skyloftian child turning into an adult is shown as the kid meets their Loftwing counterpart and begin losing their baby feathers. As they grow up, their feathers will gradually molt and be replaced with colors the same plumage as their Loftwing counterparts. Afterward, their Loftwing will guide and teach them how to fly with the help of their parents.

Now you may be wondering, if the people of Skyloft have wings of their own, why do they still ride their Loftwings? Well one reason would be because the children on Skyloft still aren't able to fly for the first several years of their life. As a parent who may have one or more children, having a Loftwing to ride on would be a huge help rather then struggling to carry children and fly at the same time. There are also other circumstances to consider such as carrying large loads such as groceries or furniture, flying far distances, and combat that are all made easier with the help of a Loftwing.

Now back to Sky, seeing as his Loftwing is known for its bright crimson feathers and is modeled after the Shoebill bird you can expect the same characteristics to be shown in his own wings for this au. Despite his poor running stamina, he's a VERY strong flier, if not the best out of all the Links due to growing up in the sky and having a giant bird teach him all the tricks. However, as shown in Skyward Sword, "Loftwings cannot fly during the nighttime since they have a terrible night vision, and only those which have been specially trained can fly in the dark." Sky has most certainly had special training to fly in the dark due to his history at the Knights Academy so he is capable of flying in the dark, but I do believe that his night vision is worse than other Links.

Any lovely witchy friends out there have advice for reaching out to a deity?

#personal #been a practising witch for a long time but never really thought about having a patron #but more and more recently i feel a pull towards some specific beings. ive been making some small offerings in the form of crafts #related to their imagery and totem style representations but i havent actually attempted to contact them #or open any direct channels of communication. and as ive never had a patron deity before im not sure how to start that process #how to transition from a solo practice to a more collaborative participation #so any advice is much appreciated! feel free to dm if your suggestions might be more personal or longer than a reply #i only know a few other witches in real life and i dont think any of them deal with deities either so id love to make some friends #who also practice too i think its really good to learn this stuff from real people and not only internet stuff #bc internet stuff especially in regards to witchery can be bs at best and straight up racist and culturally appropriating at worse #and genuinely dangerous at worst for inexperienced practicers so i do prefer knowledge from other real humanoids when possible #witchcraft #witchblr

Thaniel/Mori - Yes, on purpose and on accident. They'd wear matching ties/waistcoats, they'd wear complementary colors. They obviously would share clothes.

Grace/Matsumoto - Matsumoto will coordinate with Grace every chance he gets. Grace will not notice.

Raphael/Merrick - Only accidently, and neither of them will notice unless somebody else points it out. but they would share clothes.

Joe/Kite - Only for special occasions, but it would be very very subtle coordination. And Joe would be the one doing it most of the time, Kite won't notice unless Joe brings it up.

Valery/Shenkov - I feel like theyre the cheesy old couple who'd wear matching sweaters during christmas time lmao. other than that its always on accident.

HELLO! so i decided to tackle this first because theres no clean way to say i have No idea how to draw her as a creature. because she already is a creature to me. so.

the giant red chest marking is inspired by a luzon bleeding-heart dove and the hair is similar to a rabbit botfly... In all reality its so hard to design a creature design for her because her whole existence hinges on her being human; its really, *really* hard to capture what she means for the narrative with my current design skills, at least. lol. I KNOW THAT SOUNDS REALLY SERIOUS when me designing creatures is very for fun and playing or whatever. but its just a giant roadblock for me.. so i hope you take this and enjoy it
