One, I've seen the argument of losing brand deals, which is like a massive fuck you to everyone who has died and will continue to die because these companies fund that shit.
Second, I've heard the notorious "uneducated" take. Bro, I've been dragged for saying it before but the internet is literally free. if your ig mootie just made a post breaking that shit down, what more do you need? It's a lame ass excuse that isn't even credible after A MONTH of this happening.
Third, I've seen the argument that we shouldn't waste the space for important Palestine posts by dragging influencers that posted late/ not at all. I COMPLETELY understand that because it's true, however that's how influencers get away with silence. Someone still needs to call that out.
Fourth, a little devils advocate, some influencers post on other platforms but even those people recognized the fact that tiktok was their biggest, therefore that would need to be included.

Long Time!!! Hoping everyone has been navigating these most precarious of times with as much grace as possible.

DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE VOY by @arcwave.official? At a training session on their products, the kind folks at #wowtech allowed my co-workers and myself to choose a product. So far the separate trigger warning slide on instagram and disabling sharing functions has worked as intended, I stopped getting weird messages about self-harm larping, which is what I wanted. Tho I am, like, rather bummed out how it ruins the lean aesthetic of my feed, I have intentionally posted only arts on my instagram and none of the shit in between that I do here on Tumblr. Now it kinda breaks the vibe and would be lying if I said it didn’t bother me.
I also suspect that I am currently under shadowban. Which is not terribly surprising, with the content matter being icky and the fact that it’s against IG’s interest to promote accounts that aren’t shareable. But that’s alright.
I’d be pissed tho if I was like a professional artist or something.
If you needed update on how the commission I said I am gonna make to test if I have the capability went, it went badly. So no commissions from me in the next five years either.

"Problematic" prodigal gif post was funny & true! U always find a perfect gif. I agree MS is a GREAT actor. I still admire this but the man not as much. He seems like any narcissistic actor & narc men HATE aging. Power-imbalances with much younger women are too typical. They love to hold forth, hear the sound of their own voice, be the authority-but not to be challenged. Charity he does is good too, but ofc narcissist love always to look good to others! His charity to those closer to home 1/2

You said all very right, sensible and shareable things. For sure, MS is a bit narcissistic (like many actors) and very competitive (he admitted it), but I’m not sure this is the main cause of this situation, or not the only one at least. He was in past together with partners who were intelligent and successful, but I think the problem was mainly their kind of job. Unfortunately reality requires pragmatism, in good or bad. They had a job which required a lot of travels but to raise a family you also need to spend time at home, and MS also was always around the world. Be parents means doing a lot of sacrifices: MS wanted to stay in his country, KB wanted to live in LA, and both wanted a successful career. We can say that KB was also a bit narcissistic (very, if you look at her IG page now). Obviously, the relationship with LS suffered because of the long distance. He admitted it and it’s one of the things he regrets more. It’s a pity LS didn’t spend enough time with his father, because I think he could have inspired in her more deeper values IMHO (according to what I’ve seen recently). Yes, the hope is he can do a better work with his younger children, when he will be older and wiser, and that’s maybe is one of the reasons to continue this relationship with AL, to have that family he couldn’t have in past, who knows (or this is what I like to think). Also, even all his passion for the charity could be a way to compensate what he couldn’t do for his family.
It’s a complicated response anyway, we can only guess.

OH, GHOSTIE! 👻
I’m baaaaack.
The 2nd of the Harryween cocktails is here! It’s one of those cocktails that can be done three ways: chilled (as above), warmed up (so good), or as a shareable punch. Perfect for ooky spooky times, or fall feels in general.
The secret? You’ll see.
I’ve so enjoyed sharing these with you, and I hope that you’ve been liking them, too. Happy Halloween weekend!
TO PREP
Brown Sugar and Pumpkin Pie Spice Simple Syrup
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup boiling water
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice (I used store bought, but have used this recipe and swear by it if you’re feeling fancy)
In container, combine all ingredients and stir until brown sugar is dissolved.
Let cool before storing in fridge. Syrup will last about a week and is also very good in iced coffee/lattes/etc. JSYK.
FOR THE DRINK
1.5 oz Bourbon (I’ve also tried it with spiced rum and scotch!)
0.5 oz Amaro
.75 oz Brown sugar syrup
2-3 drops of bitters (A homemade version can be found on IG, but Angostura original bitters is good too!)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
3-4 oz Apple cider
Apple round, cinnamon stick and thyme (optional) for garnish
In shaker, add bourbon, amaro, syrup, bitters and lemon. If making cold, add ice.
Seal and shake until well combined. Strain into a glass filled with smashed ice.
Top with apple cider.
Garnish with the apple round. With a lighter, carefully run a flame over the cinnamon stick until fragrant, then run around the rim of your glass. Add cinnamon stick to your cocktail, along with the thyme!
To make it non-alcoholic: Everything but the bourbon and amaro. If you want to add a bit of fizz, some ginger beer will kick it up a notch.
If you’re making it warm: Heat the cider and syrup up in a saucepan. When at the desired temperature, pour into mug and add the remaining ingredients!
