Can you say more about your Sep Heap world DnD campaign 👀
Yeah totally! Sorry this took me so long, you caught me right in the middle of finals season.
So like. The campaign is one that we lovingly refer to as Foryx, is DMed by my boyfriend, @thebugaboy
There are five PCs in the campaign:
Amestrias "Tris" Waelrue (she/they): an eladrin bard/warlock played by @voidthatdraws
Sivala "Sylvir" Waelrue Persipa (don't ask but like he/him but really she/her): an eladrin rogue/bloodhunter played by myself :]
Honey Locust (any): a warforged druid played by @sofilophisaurus
Hanne Borgerson (she/her?): a half-orc cleric played by @actually-rj
Myrela (they/them): a vedalken artificer, played by a friend that I don't have the Tumblr of.
Nobody plays a Heap (we used to have someone who played Simon Heap but she had to leave the campaign) but there are ties between the PC's and the Heaps, like:
Sylvir and Simon Heap were childhood best friends and they ended up dating in their teens. Their relationship ended when Sylvir ran away from home after DomDaniel temporarily stole the ExtraOrdinary Wizard position from Marcia
Tris and Jenna Heap dated in their teens and she was friends with Septimus and Beetle. Their relationship went sour after a bad argument (from what I'm told) and Septimus and Beetle ended up taking Jenna's side and ditching her.
Honey Locust has??? some type of connection to both the Heaps and the Waelrues??? And basically is protective over both the Waelrue kids and the Heap bunch.
Uhhh a BUNCH of stuff has been changed from the book canon? I haven't read the books in a while so I don't know everything accurately and im not gonna go into much detail (that's a job for my DM) but. Uhhhh. The Waelrues are the family that's been in charge of the Manuscriptorium for three? Generations now? With Tris just taking her position as Chief Hermetic Scribe the day the campaign started.
The absolute basic plot synopsis is that the whole gang and their gaggle of NPCs are going back in time to use Alchemical Fyre to destroy the Two-Faced Ring on an implied Manuscriptorium work trip, and they're also there to rescue Septimus and Jenna from the past. Sylvir and Tris have a... strange relationship. Honey Locust used to be a tree. Myrela is an alchemical apprentice who delights in eavesdropping and drama. Hanne doesn't know what the fuck is going on but is deeply deeply intruiged. Nicko, Snorri, and Simon all joined in on the quest and so did Sylvir and Tris's father, which made everything a lot more awkward.
There's a lot more to it (a LOT) but that's what I've got for rn! Tris's player draws her a lot so go check out their art and Honey Locust's player just released an AMV that looks really good but I am unfortunately banned from watching it because Spoilers. I know our DM has made art of Jenna before, as well as a few NPCs but I'm unsure how much he's posted. Anyway, thanks for the ask! :]

(SA that ask literally had me going back and trying to watch LOTR when I can and had this idea)
"Because we traveled needlessly through the Mines of Moria." Legolas informed the Elves in front of them.
"Yes apparently if a wise and strong old wizard tells you it's a bad idea you ignore it. And if a female tells you it's a bad idea that pokes the masculine pride into thinking it's a good idea to go there and prove their strength and bravery like fools." Mirabels voice was ice cold as she shot the group a dark look.
"Legolas gets points for being against the idea after Gandalf said it wasn't a good idea. But for the love of God next time the braincells of the group say don't do it then don't do it." Mirabel said and Frodo winced and bowed his head, knowing it had been his choice and mistake.
"You are not of these lands...there is magic not found anywhere in Middle Earth flowing through your veins." Galandriel said staring at Mirabel and then a few seconds later Mirabels foot kicked up and her hand lashed out, the rest of the Fellowship quickly backing away.
Every bow and sword of the elves but Legolas was pointed at Mirabel now as she scowled at Galandriel who was now on the floor blinking baffled, a shoe on the ground beside her as Mirabel glared. Her other shoe in her hand at the ready.
"It is very rude to go into someone's mind. Especially without permission or provocation." Mirabels voice was sharp as a blade and colder than ice.
"You dare strike Galandriel the Lady of Light?" The male elf helping Galandriel up demanded angrily but the Fellowship were glancing at each other.
"My money is on Mirabel." Pippin said and the rest of the group nodded.
"There's lots of elves here, armed every single one...but I've seen what she can do with those shoes. My money's on the lass." Gimli said earning a solemn reluctant nod from Legolas as well.
"You speak as if the shoe is a weapon." One elf said glaring at them while Mirabel didn't look bothered by the weapons, honestly after the Nazguls and the orcs and cave troll she wasn't scared of these immortal pretty boys.
Besides they had nothing on her Abuela when she was mad.
"She slaughtered twelve orcs in the Mines of Moria with merely her shoe, another seven fell at her blade though she has no training with it." Legolas said and he didn't even know how her shoes had done so much damage to the creatures.
"That was a warning. And you only get one. I deal enough with magic users constantly using their gifts on or around me back home. I was not allowed to fight back there but here there are no such restraints. Do not use magic on me again without my permission unless it is a dire emergency." Mirabel said and Galandriel stared at her for a moment longer before she smiled and gave a small chuckle.
"It has been a long long time since anyone has dared strike me. You are an interesting one child of magic and flame. Very interesting."
PLEASE IM. LITERALLY ABOUT TO WATCH THE TWO TOWERS. Y’all got me hooked <3 found out my mom has the special extended edition??? On the entire LOTR Trilogy????
But yeah, Mirabel was not down with Galandriel’s telepathy and mind reading crap. Home girl gets it enough at home, she does not need it from Middle Earth either 😭 I’m glad Galandriel thinks she’s interesting though, nice dynamic. Though, I do think Mirabel would be freaked out when Gala just…almost goes evil for the ring in front of Frodo…yeah… I like how even Gimli is like yeah, Mirabel mops the floor with y’all.
ANYWAY what do you think Mirabel’s gift from Galandriel would be? The other fellowship members asked for some stuff, but I wonder, what would Mirabel ask for? Perharps magic of her own from the Middle Earth?
Tumblr media
Changed her clothes to fit the Middle Earth theme but still keep some of her old dress as well <3 maybe some embroidery, but I didn’t get around to drawing that. But I think whenever they rest, Mirabel takes a little time to embroider part of the journey or symbols for the Fellowship members <3

It's twilight on the winter solstice, and you're sat by your fire to stay warm. The snow is thick as mud as it sinks from the sky, forming a shell around your windows without a sound. It's peaceful tonight. The nights have grown quieter since the war between the orcs and the faeries ended, and in your warm, comfortable space, you feel positively serene.
And then there's a knock at your door. You can't help but jolt, your steady dusk silence rudely broken by a sharp, syncopated rapping. Who could possibly be out at this time, in this storm? And what did they want from you? You stand deliberately, shedding your quilt and tentatively making your way from the living area to the entrance. You glance curiously at the windows more than once, hardly realizing you're doing it. You see nothing but frozen snow.
As your hand reaches the door, you feel uneasy. The war may be over, but the tension in these lands was still as thick as the snow. Could this be a rogue soldier, passing through the town looking for mindless vengeance? No, they wouldn't likely knock. A confused returning soldier? As unpleasant as they could be, they likely didn't mean harm. Besides, you assured yourself, it was more likely someone you knew from town, unlucky to be stuck out in the cold. Better let them in, they could easily freeze out there. You draw a breath, and pull the door open.
You're greeted by the sight of a little freak, about two and a half feet tall and covered in dense brown fur. It looks up at you and cocks its head. You say nothing, shocked into silence. You've never seen a creature, living or dead, with quite the same awkward, bent shape, nor the large square head, nor the eyes like dark pools which this thing possesses. It's kind of cute, actually, in a weird way. And then it speaks. "Evening, miss, sorry to bother you. But I was just wondering if, uh..." it trails off. Baffled but undeniably curious, you prompt for more. "W-wondering what, now?"
The creature scratches its head. "Uhh..... spopify." It places an object at your feet and scampers off into the night, disappearing nearly instantly into the blankets of snow. You stare into the distance in disbelief, not fully convinced you saw anything in the first place. Your gaze snaps back towards the creature's object. It's a fucking
🎵
a 🎵? the memories weigh this 🎵 down in my hands as im reminded of the world before the war. you would give and receive several 🎵 a day back then! and now? you'd be lucky if anyone even knew what this 🎵 was.
"spopify" that freak said to me. i havent been asked to share spopify—swapping spoppies as my Nan would call it R.I.P.🥰—since i was much younger. it was a common way to connect with others through the language of music, but the war has sewn discord in the hearts of many and its no longer practiced today.
it's been so long since i've swapped spoppies with another... im sad that freak scampered away. it bestowed a gift greater than any ive received in years and just... scampers away. i wasn't even able to show my gratitude. nor could i bestow to it my tune of choice.
no matter! perchance, if i blast my tune loud enough it could escape the walls of my cozy cottage and reach that little fucking freak wherever it lies. i sure hope this works. this one's for u, little thing <3
i rig my fantasy music playing device up against the frosted windows. there's no way im getting them open, so i need the volume as loud as possible. i flip the levers and enter the passcode to allow me to set it to it's highest volume setting. i set my music library to shuffle and hit play
the bards bladee and ecco2k pump they're ethereal ballad through the land, their moans and falsetto piercing the thickness of the snow with ease. wherever this freak is, i hope it drains.
as for the lyrics which mean most to me from this ballad, as the tradition of spopify dictates i share, well they aren't a very lyrical bunch and especially so on this track. but we can still pick a little passage out!
befitting the ethereal and if im being honest sensual mood of this track ill pick out eccos first verse
"someone like me/someone like someone/like me/love me/touch me"
it does an interesting little switch there using 'like me' in someone like me and then using it again to bridge to 'like me/love me/touch me' that i just think is quite good! i like the things they do on this track quite a lot actually
oh how splendid it's been to swap spoppies once more :") the memories of those ive swapped with before. all their wonderful tunes. i begin to sob thinking how much a simple fucking🎵 could change people's ways.
i turn off my fantasy music playing device with a flick of several heavy steam-powering levers that hiss to a halt and begin to set to bed after what became a quite eventful night. im not even sure if that little creature heard my ballad, but im sure it's out in the world somewhere bringing joy to others as it has done for me. thank you, little freak, ill always remember u and how square your head was. <3

DnD (5e) Classes for my Trolls
Look, I’m bored, because I can’t draw right now so imma start assigning DnD Classes to my kids! Feel free to reply with yours too! Let’s make it a meme lol!
All my kids and their classes (and maybe some reasoning if im feeling like it) under the cut:
Look, I have a lot more Characters but these are the ones I’ve already gotten onto this blog more or less fully. Plus I’m picking these entirely on Lore/Flavor, because who the fuck cares about stats here?
Aitreo - Immortal Half-Elf Rogue - Assassin He has no idea how he turned immortal, he’s kinda pissed by it, but he can’t change it. It’s fine... he’s found ways to deal with the boredom of existence. Taking Assassination jobs being one of those ways to deal with it, heh...
Alfadi - Elf Sorcerer - Divine Soul This one was kind of hard to pick actually! Alfadi is by nature a healer and a creator of things, but I just can’t see her in heavy plate armor! That just doesn’t work for her! So hey, a sorcerer with a focus on healing and party support!
Athokk - Human Warlock - Great Old One Pact A man which holds so many goddamn secrets... and so much information... and all that information... it could kill you... it could drive you insane... it could destroy you... beware this one. He looks friendly and unassuming, but behind that ever neutral face of his, is a vast array of unfathomable dangers...
Elyzia - Aasimar Bard - College of Eloquence Elyzia is not a fighter. At all... they would rather talk through issues and resolve things peacefully. This class seems most fitting for that task. And hey, they are an Aasimar with a celestial parent that most definitely would have their hands in the domain of love and emotions in general.
Etatio - Half-Orc Barbarian - Path of the Berserker Easy pick for this one! Boy is angery and gets himself into trouble with it! What else is there to say really? The rage makes him stronger, but it has drawbacks! For flavor I think he’d be Half-Orc and Half-Triton (Shark) maybe?
Rodisa - Changeling Bard - College of Glamour She’s a performer first and foremost! She can do anything that is asked for her, change into any type of personality, she can be charming, she can be intimidating, she can be anything and everything! And this choice definitely describes her extremely well. I love this woman.
Sintai - Human Artificer - Alchemist This girl is creative as fuck, but she doesn’t like the spotlight or getting too much attention, or fighting... She prefers being in the back, playing support for those she deems more important. That creativity of hers is so well developed though, that I see her coming up with so many amazing items and consumables and other ways to help others! She’d definitely be a major asset to have around, even if she would disagree on that. She’s not afraid of experimenting with new concoctions, trying out new things as long as its in the safety of her workshops, with all kind of precautions, of course. Whatever ails ya, she can probably make it!
Somnee - Shifter Ranger - Beastmaster Somnee grew up most of her life away from civilization, learning to survive out in the wilds, with a fuckton of wild animals. She’s learned to understand and befriend whem. She doesn’t care as much about protecting the land as she cares that the creatures in her homelands can live a life worth living. And her gryphon lusus basically already functions as her beast companion. There really was no choice to be made here, haha. The shifter genes would probably be weretiger.
Striga - Daywalker Druid - Circle of the Land This one was pretty easy to pick, since Striga already is a druid, haha. She already protects the land deemed her domain and is very eager to preserve all the knowledge given by her parent. It’s all about balancing things out, being one with the land while at the same time satisfying his own wants and needs.
Xiento - Eladrin Wizard - Order of the Scribes Xiento is fucking DILIGENT in literally everything he does, so I can see him being an extremely potent Wizard, always on the hunt for new spells, expanding his repertoire on the daily, if possible. He’s very smart with the use of his spells, often thinking outside of the box and proactive with everything else. He’ll prepare resources before they are needed and isn’t afraid to spend his money where he deems it necessary. He is however physically on the weak side and needs others to keep his back clear so he can do his work properly, so Wizard seems very fitting.

Couple of OCs in this one to make it work, but I really wanted to do something with second/third age Maglor gettin too close with Ulmo and the Oath sneaking up bite him
“So... you’ve seen it?”
Maglor didn’t look up when he spoke. Just went on dragging his fingertips through the sand, drawing swirling patterns on the beach around him. Ulmo sat cross-legged on a rock watching him, letting the wind blow warm and gentle raindrops through both their hair. A beautiful evening for a talk in the rain.
“Seen what?” he asked absently. There wasn’t anything familiar enough in the way Maglor stiffened at that to be alarming.
“It,” the minstrel said again, softer but more insistent. “You know. The...” He trailed off. The fingers on his right hand, twisted with scars, gave a feeble twitch.
The burn marks reminded Ulmo what they were probably talking about and so he nodded.
“Oh, yes. I’ve seen it. I keep it safe, you know. You needn’t worry yourself.”
A long silence. Maglor pressed his hand into the cool damp of the sand.
“Yes,” he mumbled distantly. “No need to worry...”
Silver armor and royal blue banners. Swords that gleamed under the light of the stars.
A figure atop a mountain peak, cloaked and hooded, and the blood-red torchlight lighting his brothers’ faces in the high court of Tirion.
Constantly the words of the Oath boomed now in Maglor’s head, where it had slept for many hundreds of years. Constantly the weight of his father’s spirit pressed his mind.
He would have left the coastline and forsaken sight of the sea, but the glimmer of silver and gold he often saw now beneath the distant waves kept him fixed upon the shore. To turn his back would be to give up the Oath and suffer the ultimate pain of retribution.
He could not. He could not. He could do nothing but cower on the edge of the water, too afraid to act.
“No one will withhold a Silmaril from the house of Fëanor,” said his father within the deeps of memory, “be it Elf, Man, or Vala.”
Ulmo.
His burned fingers trembled and twitched.
Ulmo, his friend. Sheltering the Silmaril at the bottom of the sea.
He buried his eyes beneath quivering hands and tried not to let the connection form.
The Oath waited ever so patiently.
The water was still and glassy black, reflecting a sky of stars that reminded Maglor of the ages before the sun and moon. His days in Valinor, before any curse or oath had torn his family and soul asunder.
He liked the pool. It was always cool and tranquil like a vast sheet of glass within stone’s throw of the sea, and when the world was younger he used to come here to remind himself that he was a lord of the Noldor no longer; look at his reflection and see nothing but a wanderer without people or honor to plague him.
Tonight, though, he saw frost-white armor glinting ghostly beneath his coat, and the light of Aman burning fierce in his face, and in his eyes the soul of the two trees mingled and tamed within depths of stone.
Maglor cast a stone across the pool to shatter the image, unable to stop the quivering that spread up from the root of his spine.
“Is it far?” he asked softly.
Ulmo didn’t stand there in the gangly form he was so fond of, but Maglor still knew he was listening.
The water lapped at the shore like gentle laughter.
“Far enough, but well within my reach.”
When Maglor turned to look at the sea the entire horizon was turned to streams of molten gold and silver chasing each other endlessly within the ocean’s cold jewel.
“Where are we going?” Riston asked eagerly as he trotted behind.
Maglor had forgotten he was there. His mind was busy with other things.
“Going?” he repeated. “When are we ever going anywhere?” But the words were numb and he could not stay the path his feet now took of their own accord.
“I just thought,” huffed Riston, scurrying over the sea-hewn boulders to try and keep pace, “that we would be avoiding places like that.” He pointed upwards.
On the nearby clifftop, a tower fortress blazed with torchlight red and fell.
Maglor let his eyes wander down the cliff face to the dark gap at its foot.
“Yes,” he said dimly. “We should.”
And he hurried along, desperate now to come quickly to the cave and dispense with this mania.
If he could just see what he was seeking, the need for it would pass.
It would pass.
The cavern was cold and dripped with seawater, and in all the ages of the world it had not changed. From the tower above, the stone seemed to vibrate with raucous shouts and music, but the dark stone, crusted with barnacles and grasping things of the sea, was fast and familiar under Maglor’s feet. He moved eagerly now, driven forward by the desperate need to prove himself wrong, forgetting entirely the fact that Riston trailed behind him in wonder.
In the darkest back of the cave, a pale green light shone just enough to illuminate a small stone chamber, wide and high-roofed, and the shelf carved carefully into its back wall.
He knew the place, because he had labored there cutting stone to forget the world, because he had poured Maglor Fëanor’s son into this rock to forget him.
On the shelf rested gleaming white armor, and above it on the wall was set a pale sword with a green gem set into its hilt.
They looked polished and new, as if he had left them yesterday and not thousands of years hence.
It felt as though everything warm left Maglor in a single rush and he was nothing but cold stone himself, staring blank at those arms and wishing he could forget them.
If all was fair, Glírlang’s curved blade should still drip with blood for every life it had taken. The blood of his kin and his friends who had done nothing but stand between him and his father’s prize.
Maglor fell to his knees.
Yes. Yes, it was over now. There was no Oath that could hold him to kill again. No promise he had made would drive him any longer. He was not his father. He was not the elf prince who had sailed from Valinor long ago. Yes, he was no one. No one.
“Maglor-!”
Slowly he turned.
Riston was still here, but oddly enough he was not the only one.
When Maglor saw eyes gleaming cold with greed and malice he thought at first of goblins, and of his brothers, but these were only Men with stout swords who crept in on thick boots that cracked the clinging shells beneath them. They spoke Westron, roughly, though it took him long seconds to understand it.
“Trespassin’,” one said. His blade flashed in the green light of the gem. “Little vagabonds trespassin’ on our lands.”
“Oi,” said another. He pointed to the shelf with the tip of his sword. “Puttin’ some shiny armor down here so’s you and your friends can come back and kill us with it later?”
“That don’t make no sense.”
“Shut up! They’re trespassin’, and you know trespassers gotta die!” The first man’s pale lip curled into a grin. “Besides. I want me that nice silvery sword, and they’re in the way of me takin’ it.”
They moved closer, and Riston stumbled back with a squeak. His Westron wasn’t good enough to understand what was going on.
“Maglor!”
They would both die. What would Maglor do? He could do nothing. Well enough for him to die on the point of a sword, but Riston was barely more than a child.
Well enough for him. Well enough to die here.
“Look at ‘im squirm!” roared the one man, and with fluid ease he cast Riston to the floor and planted a boot on his chest to keep him there. “You say I gut ‘im, boys, or take ‘im up to the tower and let the others have a go?”
Laughter echoed off the walls of the chamber. Maglor’s back hit cold stone but all he could hear was Riston screaming his name.
“Maglor!” cried Elros as the orcs swarmed around him, arm thrown protectively in front of his brother, both little ones wide-eyed and trembling with fear. “Uncle Maglor, please!”
The sun glinting through cloud near the sea. Orcs guffawing to find the little lords of the Noldor unguarded.
So many ages ago and Glírlang dripped with blood.
Fire rushed across the surface of the pool with a deafening roar.
Glírlang pushed in through the back until the tip of the blade came right out the other side.
Blood gurgling through punctured lungs.
Maglor pushed and the Man fell, toppled over, the sword slipping easily from the hole it had put in him, resting with such familiarity in Maglor’s hand.
His Glírlang. So familiar.
He turned to the other Men, standing right over Elros, blade glinting and body slipping automatically into a defensive stance.
No, no, it wasn’t him. Elros wasn’t here, he was long dead now.
It was Riston. Little Riston.
Yes. Riston.
The sword in his grip brought him back through centuries of honey-slow time.
“Step back,” he said steadily. Many years had passed since last he used Quenya, but it flowed now easily past his tongue and filled the whole of the cavern with a crackling power. “You will not touch him.”
The Men scrambled away, faces frozen in awe and terror, for it seemed to them that they had just watched a wandering beggar transform before their eyes into a fell warrior of old, shining with the light of countless centuries and the power of ancient kings, and his sword was alight with green flame.
His enemies fled before him like the cowardly goblins had in ages past.
Torchlight. Blood-red torchlight in the night without end. The courtyard of Tirion stained crimson.
“Let no creature stand between my house and a Silmaril,” Maglor said softly, speaking the same words to the cavern that had sealed his fate those ages ago. “Be it Elf, Man, or Vala.”
He heard the dull roar of the ocean outside, and left Riston behind to cry gently in the earth’s cold embrace.
The waves slammed the shore with fury, but to Maglor, all seemed silent. The stillness of the night utterly complete.
Nothing to shatter his fevered thoughts as he screamed a challenge on the wind to the Lord of the Sea.
“No one will withhold a Silmaril.”
No one.
Vala.
“Maglor.”
He looked up and Ulmo was there, standing in the ankle-deep water in the tall, gangly form he’d once kissed. The sky had grown cloudy but he couldn’t remember when, and the distant line of the sea was alight with fire.
Maglor raised a trembling hand and put the tip of his sword to Ulmo’s chest.
“You... will... give it to me...”
“This is mad,” Ulmo said, very calmly. “Maglor, you don’t have to do this.”
Sea spray brushed against his cheek in some semblance of a fond touch, but he was not swayed.
“Give it to me,” he hissed, his own voice like the touch of hot metal to water. “Or I’ll kill you.”
“Don’t do this,” Ulmo said again. When he stepped back Maglor took a swipe at him, but it was easily blocked by a forearm coated in rough blue carapace like a crab’s. Rusted chains clinked against each other with every movement Ulmo made.
“I don’t want to hurt you,” he said. “Don’t make me hurt you.”
“You would keep what’s rightfully mine!”
The hissing flame and shadow of Balrogs. His father’s eyes burning brighter than the sun with his last words.
“Thief!” Maglor screamed, batting Ulmo’s shield arm aside to press Glírlang to his breast again. “That Silmaril is mine!”
Ulmo straightened to a new height. His brow, crusted with salt and living stone, grew hard and fell. His simple clothes hardened to plates of chiton armor.
“Do not make me hurt you,” he said again, but now his voice boomed like thunder on the plains and waterfalls and waves breaking against unyielding stone. Behind him the sea rang with the blowing of horns in the deep, shaking the ground, sending rushes of icy water up to swirl against the solid cliffs. Lightning split the sky. Rain began to fall in cold sheets.
“Deliver me what is mine!” Maglor roared against the wind. “Or I will take it!”
Glírlang flashed white light back at the sky. Maglor felt the might of his brothers behind him. The strength and glory of Valinor rushing through him as if he had just newly set foot on Middle-Earth. His blade moved in a blur of green and white, and when he returned again to ready stance, Ulmo stood before him with a gash across his face slowly beginning to seep seawater.
When he touched the tear in his skin, the water turned blood red.
“So be it,” Ulmo said at last, and with the rush of the sea, the tall glorious form was gone, and in its place was a tower of water adorned with sharp yellow teeth stained scarlet, and lengths of rusted silver chain caught in the swell, and a million blue-green eyes that saw everywhere water touched the world, that saw into Maglor’s very soul.
The roar of a tidal wave filled his ears and the flood took him.
Direction became utterly meaningless because he was spinning too fast to recognize any way at all. There was no color but the black of fathomless depths, and Glírlang was torn from his fingers, and teeth tore his flesh, and he spun alone suspended in the might of the sea.
Well enough, to end this way. Conquered at last.
Maglor screamed and water rushed in to fill his lungs. All around him and within him Ulmo spoke.
“If it is the Silmaril thee desire, then take it.”
Before his eyes, the brilliance of the Two Trees locked in a jewel without equal.
“Take it and see where it leaves thee. Let it drive thee mad. Let thee fall as thy brothers have fallen.”
Maglor stretched out his fingers. It was there. It was there, he could feel it, he could almost taste it...
“Take the heirloom of thy house,” Ulmo rumbled, “and let it destroy thee.”
Maglor screamed and the water played the sound he couldn’t make as Being began to fade.
Everything went still and silent.
When air rushed again into his lungs, all he could do was sob.
“Why didn’t you do it?!”
On his knees. Water dripping slowly from his hair, his fingers in the sand.
“Why do you keep me here?!”
The blinding light of the Silmaril resting in a pool in the sand. Glírlang at its side. Maglor took up the blade and threw it with all his strength into the sea, then fell again with his eyes turned from the jewel, his whole body shaking with sobs.
“I don’t want it! I don’t want it! Please!“
Still he was here. Still he lingered.
“Just let me go,” he breathed to the motionless air. “Just take me! I don’t want it! I failed! Just let me go!”
Ulmo did not answer. No one answered.
The waters were still and the Silmaril lay there watching.
Maglor screamed at Ulmo to take it away, but the Lord of the Sea would not answer.
And his mind crackled and folded like the flesh of his hand.

Tumblr media
“Are we lost?”
“No.”
“I think we are.”
“Shh! Gandalf’s thinking.”
“Merry?”
“What?”
“I’m hungry.” Pippin and Merry whispered between each other. They were sat opposite each other, their voices flowing through the space. Sam was sat up against one of the rocks near Frodo. Gandalf had perched himself upon a rock. He lifted a pipe to and from his lips, blowing out smoke when necessary. You were sat beside Boromir, who was beside Aragorn. Legolas was stood, his back leaned against rock, close to Aragorn.
“I miss home.” You mentioned. Boromir smiled, wrapping an arm around your shoulders and pulling you gently into his side.
“After the journey, we will return. We will drink and feast and celebrate. And everything will go back to normal.” He assured and you gave a small smile. Though, you were unsure of whether you wanted that to be your reality when you were to finish the journey. You had quite enjoyed the thought of travelling with Aragorn and then when his time had come… Well, you had not thought that far just yet. Anyway, this was all hypothetical, of course, as it had much started to dawn on you that you might not get the chance to return. Luck had been on your side thus far but for how long would it continue to come to your aid?
Legolas noticed the worried look that fell over your features and his brows drew together, wishing that he could read your mind to know what troubled you. He was about to pull you to the side to ask how you were when Gandalf let out a loud noise.
“It’s that way.” He pointed with his eyes, a smile tugging at his lips as he looked at Frodo who was sat beside him.
“He’s remembered!” Merry said with a grin, pulling the pipe from his lips. He pushed himself to his feet.
Gandalf stood with the aid of his staff. “No, but the air doesn’t smell so foul down here. If in doubt, young Meriadoc, always follow your nose.” He led the way, holding his staff up so that the light exuding from it would reveal more of the path. Legolas held back to walk with you. You smiled at him and he returned it. Each member of the Fellowship stepped down the decreasing concrete.
“Let me risk a little more light.” Gandalf muttered. His staff brightened the way. “Behold, the great realm, the dwarf city of Dwarrowdelf.”
Your lips parted almost immediately in awe, breath drawing from your throat. There were pillars hundreds of feet tall, all so intricately designed and decorated. Somehow amongst the darkness all of the stone seemed to turn from a dull grey to a shimmering silver. Dips and grooves were so perfectly sculpted that it seemed surreal.
“Well, there’s an eyeopener, make no mistake.” Sam said. His eyes were glistening with wonder as well as everyone else’s.
“It’s beautiful.” You whispered. It seemed as if the words were forced from your mouth. There was so much beauty and brilliance in the world that you had yet to see; the sort of the thing that excited you.
It did not excite you for long, however. Once you had been walking for a while again, Gimli paused. His eyes quickly scanned over skeletons leading to a room. He took an audible breath, running into the room. Your eyes widened and you quickly followed him. Your heart ached at the sight of him. His face was stained with more tears, his eyes flooded. His wails were unforgettable. A series of sobs left his lips, his chest heaving up and down as you gently placed a hand on his shoulder. You could feel tears begin to pool in yours eyes. You had not noticed that the others had joined you until the sound of extra footsteps echoed off of the walls.
“Here lies Balin, son of Fundin, Lord of Moria.” The wizard took a breath. You moved away from Gimli, standing beside Legolas with a small sniffle. “He is dead, then. It is as I feared.” He handed his things to Pippin, delicately moving a skeleton to pick up a dusty book that it had been holding, once. A shiver ran all the way up your spine, your skin prickling in goosebumps. You snapped your head around to look through the door behind you, anxiety growing within your frame.
“I have a bad feeling about this place.” You hissed into the elf’s ear and he nodded, leaning into Aragorn’s ear slightly.
“We must move on. We cannot linger.”
Gandalf turned the page. “They have taken the bridge, and the second hall. We have barred the gates but cannot hold them for long. The ground shakes. Drums. Drums in the deep.” He turned the page. “We cannot get out. Shadow moves in the dark. We cannot get out. They are coming—”
Suddenly a loud noise captivated the attention of everybody. The noise came from beside Pippin, who was stood looking extremely guilty beside a headless body. Before you knew it, the body fell flimsily down the hole beside it and the weight that it was attached to quickly followed. If you wanted not to be noticed then perhaps bringing Pippin along was not the right idea, for the noises echoed loudly around the space. After a little while of silence, Boromir let out an audible breath of relief.
“Fool of a took!” Gandalf snapped, tossing the book to the floor. “Throw yourself in next time and rid us of your stupidity.” He snatched back his staff and hat and Pippin looked to the floor.
There was a faint bang in the distance. If anyone’s eyes had wondered, they were now firmly back on the hobbit. Breathing was audible from everyone in the room. You looked worriedly at Boromir, he, too, looked anxious. Your breath quickened, turning around to face the door but turning back when Sam spoke.
“Mister Frodo…” At his words, Frodo pulled out his sword which was glowing blue. Your eyes widened at the sight. He had told you before that his Uncle Bilbo had gifted it to him before he left Rivendell. It glowed blue if there were—
“Orcs.” Legolas confirmed at the overwhelming sound of energetic screams and shouts. Boromir turned, running to the door.
“Boromir!” You warned, gasping sharply when two arrows landed not even an inch away from his face, protruding out from the door. Sprinting to him, you helped him shove the door closed. You could make out Aragorn saying something to the hobbits over the vicious pumping of your heart. Instinctively you turned your back to the door, holding it shut whilst Legolas threw an axe to you. It threaded through the handle of the door kindly and you stepped away from the door slowly, pulling out your knives. The door began to wave outwards and inwards, like it was victim to an angry storm. Weapons were cutting through the wood at speed and soon enough the doors caved to the Orcs’ will. They came flooding through the space like they were on a water current. Legolas and Aragorn shot their arrows but there were too many. They continued to pour through until they reached you.
With a roar, you brought your knife up to counter a sword, plunging your other into the face of your attacker. You dodged an oncoming axe, dropping the floor to swipe its legs before heaving its own weapon into its chest. Swiftly you sliced through the flesh of one’s neck, spinning to punch another before you stabbed it in the heart; if they had hearts, that is, you did not really know. Your fingers tightened around the hilts of your knives, searching around. You quickly sheathed your knives, picking up an axe from one of those that you just killed. As you made for one about to attack Boromir from behind, you swung the axe over your head, burying it deep inside its skull. The body fell to its knees and you struggled to pull the weapon out, forcefully kicking the body to release the axe. Shouting, swinging at one’s knees before slicing its head clean from its body.
You shielded your face as rocks came flying from where the door was once. Sheer horror smacked you in the face at the sight of a cave troll. It had chains around its neck and a huge mallet in its hand. It came bounding right up to Sam after Legolas shot an arrow into the centre of its chest.
“Sam!” You cried, breathing as he managed to crawl out of the way. When you turned around, an Orc landed a punch straight to your nose. You fell, startled, wincing slightly at the pain. Your eyes widened as it swung its axe towards your head. With barely inches between you and the blade, you managed to roll out of the way. Suddenly the Orc let out a cry of pain, and you used the opportunity to ram your knives into each of its legs before pulling one out and driving it into its chest. When it fell to the floor, you managed to take a quick glance at the body. There was an arrow sticking out of the fleshy part of the side. A small smile tugged on your lips amongst the madness, your eyes searching.
Your smile faded when your gaze landed on Legolas. The troll swung its chain at him with ferocity, causing rocks to fall from the pillars and the walls.
“Legolas!” You screamed his name, tears in your eyes. He managed to swerve from all of the troll’s attacks. You did not see much of what happened next, for the number of Orcs seemed to increase again, but you cut down all of the Orcs that came your way with much frustration, the tears of worry in your eyes turning to those of anger.
When you next got a chance to look at the troll, it was attacking Frodo, Merry and Pippin. You began to make your way towards them, lunging at each creature that came to attack you, carving into their skin as if they were meat for dinner. The cave troll grabbed Frodo by his foot, and you called to him, raising the aggressiveness of your attacks unintentionally, frustration consuming your entire body. Frodo managed to slice something from the hand of the troll, giving Aragorn the chance to stick a spear just under its breast. It smacked Aragorn to the side and he hit a rock before his body tumbled lifelessly to the floor. Frodo desperately tried to run around the troll but to no avail. The troll pushed the spear into the hobbits chest.
A sob was forced from your throat, your chest heaving for breath. Merry and Pippin jumped on the troll, stabbing at its neck relentlessly. It managed to shake Merry off, dropping him to the floor from a height. Gimli ran at it, attempting to smack it with his axe but got kicked to the side. As you screamed, your knives tore and shredded through its thick skin. You swung an axe from the ground up to land firmly in the back of it. Legolas drew an arrow, aiming carefully before shooting it. The arrow buried itself in its mouth. It let out a noise. Then it fell to the ground, spreading the dust over the other bodies that lay there.
It took you no time at all to run to where Frodo’s and Aragorn’s bodies were. A few tears fell down your cheeks while you sprinted. You sighed in relief to see Aragorn crawling toward the hobbits body, but you frowned, noticing that Frodo still had not moved. The lump in your throat grew. Your breathing felt restricted, a small sob falling from your lips. Aragorn rolled Frodo’s body over into his lap.
A series of groans came from the mouth of the hobbit and your eyes widened, thinking that your ears had deceived you. The hobbit was stabbed, surely, he was dead! But Sam ran to your side, taking a deep breath before he looked to the rest of the Fellowship.
“He’s alive.” He confirmed. Everyone seemed to breathe at that.
“I’m alright. I’m not hurt.” Said Frodo, clutching his chest.
You smiled. “But how?”
“I think there is more to this hobbit than meets the eye,” Gandalf suggested with a knowing look. When you looked back towards Frodo, he pulled the fabric of his undershirt down, revealing a glimmering white chainmail material.
“Mithril.” Gimli whispered, a smile on his face. “You are full of surprises, Master Baggins.” Y stood, laughing breathily before turning to those behind you. Your gaze landed on Boromir and you smiled, wiping a bit of blood from his cheek comically. He chuckled, engulfing you in a hug. He gently pressed his lips to your to the top of your head and you smiled. Boromir left you to check on Merry and Pippin and you turned to Legolas, smiling.
“I was worried for you, mellon nin.” You avoided his gaze.
“And I for you.” He said. You could hear the smile on his face when he spoke, and your smile widened. You were about to say something else when more manic screams and shouts were heard, identical to the ones that were heard before the Orcs attacked you. Your eyes widened, turning to Gandalf.
“To the bridge of Khazad-Dum.”
And with that the Fellowship took off down the stony halls of Moria. You were all sprinting at full speed. It was a little surprising that the hobbits could keep up, but they had proven many times by now that they could hold their own and should never be underestimated. Screams echoed behind you and you turned to look, slowing when you noticed how many Orcs there were. This was a battle you were destined to lose. Fingers wrapped firmly around your wrist and you snapped your head forward again to see Boromir holding to you with one of his arms, pulling you along. Orcs started to pop up out of the floor and crawl down from the ceiling and quite quickly it was easy to see that there were way too many of them to even fathom fighting. The Fellowship slowed to a stop and you created a circle, pulling your knives from their sheaths and staring down the Orcs that surrounded you. The circle seemed to get smaller and smaller and soon you were shoulder to shoulder with Legolas and Boromir. The Orcs smiled maniacally at you. You took a sharp breath, ready to lunge at them when a very loud rumbling noise came from the end of the corridor.
Immediately, the Orcs turned frail, squeaking with fear and soon they scattered off just as quickly as they had appeared. You were alone again. The noise reverberated through the halls.
“What is that?” Somehow you had the nerve to ask the question.
“A Balrog. A demon of the ancient world.” You watched Legolas’ eyes widen slightly at the wizard’s words and you swallowed dryly. “This foe is beyond any of you. Run!”
Gandalf made for the opening that you had all meant to go down originally, the rest of you darting to the end of the hall to keep up with him. He stopped at the open archway, allowing the others in front of him. You ran just behind Legolas and Boromir was now leading the way. He moved down the newly presented set of stairs, not noticing the empty chasm that lay before his feet. He wobbled on the very edge, dropping his torch down the space as Legolas lunged forward, wrapped his arms around his chest and pulled him back.
Behind you, Gandalf clutched hold of Aragorn’s shoulder. “Lead them on, Aragorn. The bridge is near.” When Aragorn tried to help him, he pushed on his shoulder, forcing him away. “Do as I say! Swords are no more use here.” You raced down the numerous flights of stone stairs until you came to a halt. A part of the staircase was missing. Legolas jumped over it carelessly, landing perfectly on the other side. He held his hand out to you. You took a breath before leaping over the disparity, grabbing his hand tightly as he safely pulled you into his chest.
“Gandalf.” He gestured for the wizard to come next. Gandalf jumped and you gasped as an arrow missed your face by just a few inches. Legolas frowned, aiming and shooting, his arrow hitting the Orc archer right between the eyes. You ushered Boromir down and he nodded, grabbing Merry and Pippin before diving over the gaping chasm. You caught Merry in your arms, setting him down with a head pat before Aragorn tossed Sam to you. Catching him, you gently set him down beside Merry whilst Legolas dealt with Gimli. Once Gimli joined you, however, the rock that Frodo and Aragorn were still perched on began to crumble. You gasped, squeezing Boromir’s hand in anxiety as you watched. A huge roar echoed from where you had just come from, causing the archway to shake and break. A large piece of stone plunged from the ceiling, crashing down onto the very staircase that the man and the hobbit were situated on. Your heart stuttered as the rock destroyed what was in its way, falling into the abyss below. The stem of the staircase broke.
“Be careful!” You cried, biting your lip so hard it pooled with blood. Aragorn pulled a very terrified Frodo into his chest. You watched with complete anxiety yet confusion; you could see that the man was calculating something.
“Lean forward!” He instructed to the Ring-Bearer and as the two did so, the faulty staircase began to lean under their weight. Slowly, it moved towards the stable one, crashing into it and you let out a breath with Frodo in your arms. All you wanted was to sit and hug him and make sure that he knew everything was going to be alright – even though you weren’t entirely sure it would be – but you knew that could not happen. Legolas had safely caught Aragorn and the next thing you knew, the ten of you were rapidly rushing down the numerous flights of trembling stairs.
Eventually you got to flat ground but none of you stopped running. Your thoughts wandered to Gandalf, wondering if it was wise that he should be running like this, for it seemed he was far too tired even earlier.
The bridge was near. “Over the bridge! Fly!” Little attention was paid to the roaring fires acting as gates toward it. Whilst everyone ran, Gandalf made sure to lack behind and just as he turned around, slowly, a giant creature emerged from the fire. It had black tattered skin and horns, terrible teeth and bright white eyes. Its mouth opened, and it created sound unlike any other on Middle-Earth, its mouth mirroring hot embers. Gandalf turned once it had taken a step, fleeing towards the group of you who also began to scurry away from the creature. You sprinted, heart jolting each time you heard – and felt – the Balrog take a step. In single file, ushering the hobbits in front of you, you crossed the bridge. Boromir held you for a moment once you had crossed, making sure that you were alright before he let go, eyes widening at the sight of Gandalf still in the centre of the bridge.
“You cannot pass.” Gandalf yelled, facing the beast with his staff out in front of him, his long sword settled in his other hand.
“Gandalf!” Frodo screamed. You inhaled sharply, eyes filling with tears in worry. Aragorn squeezed your hand gently as the beast stood tall, erupting into a ball of flame.
“I am a servant of the Secret Fire, wielder of the flame of Anor. The dark fire will not avail you, flame of Udun!” A great light emitted from Gandalf’s staff when he held it up, but the Balrog created a weapon of his own. A flash of lightning spewed from the connection of Gandalf’s staff and the Balrog’s sword of flame. You grasped Aragorn’s hand tighter, feeling all of the moisture from your mouth dissipate. The sword melted down into the abyss and the creature moaned ferociously at the wizard once again. “Go back to the shadow.” He said behind hooded eyes. It stepped toward him, creating a fiery whip which he cracked against the stone.
“You shall not pass!” As his voice echoed, Gandalf thrust his staff into the stone, white sparks flying from the collision. The beast raised his arm, stepping mightily towards to wizard, but the stone crumbled under its weight. He plummeted into the abyss. You let out a breath you did not know you were holding. Gandalf turned to step towards you.
However, as he did so, an orange-yellow string secured itself around his ankle, pulling him across the stone until he barely hung from the edge.
You gasped, shaking your head incredulously. “No…” Frodo ran for him. Boromir grabbed him, holding him close before he could reach. Your eyes were wide with anguish, Frodo’s screams painfully ringing in your ears.
“Gandalf!”
He looked amongst you. “Fly, you fools.” Was all he said before he spread his fingers out, giving in, and he fell. Tears pooled in your eyes, an aching sensation pounding in your chest, throughout your entire body. A few choked sobs escaped you whilst Aragorn, still latched to your hand, pulled you along, shielding you from the many arrows that were being shot your way. The final set of steps lay in front of you, and as Aragorn gently dragged you along, you found yourself looking back, filled with a sorrow that everyone was experiencing.
Upon exiting Moria, you found that Boromir was holding back Gimli, from going in there and no doubt trying to murder the Balrog that had taken Gandalf. Sam was sat on his own, crying into his hand. Pippin was sprawled out on the floor in pain, Merry holding onto him, both of them with tears gushing down their faces. If your heart was not already broken from the loss, it certainly was shattered now from the melancholy faces that lay before you. Slowly, you made your way over to Sam, resting a gentle hand on his shoulder as you knelt beside him. He looked up and threw his arms around your body, sobbing silently into your shoulder. You closed your eyes, tears streaming, hugging him as tightly while he clung to you.
Legolas looked around, it seemed as if for the first time that he was unsure of what to do. His chest ached, even harder when his eyes landed upon you, and how you quickly swiped your tears away before talking to Sam, wanting to be strong for him and the other hobbits.
Aragorn cleaned his sword with his clothes. “Legolas, get them up.” He came close to you and Sam and you shook your head gently.
“Leave them.” You sniffed.
“Give them a moment, for pity’s sake!”
“By nightfall, these hills will be swarming with Orcs. We must reach the Woods of Lothlorien. Come Boromir. Y/N, Legolas, Gimli, get them up.” Aragorn pulled Sam up from the floor. “On your feet.” Boromir made his over to you, wrapping a comforting arm around your shoulder. You smiled weakly at him, and he kissed your temple softly. “Frodo?” You heard Aragorn call, your eyes wandering to try to find the hobbit. Once you had found him, you sighed.
“It is hardly fair, that they do not get a chance to lament.”
“I know, but Aragorn is right. We must hurry to avoid the Orcs and another potential loss.” You nodded and Boromir’s words, hugging into his side, your eyes never leaving Frodo.
~~~
You had all been walking for a long while, but it was still light. You had been walking beside Aragorn, listening to him talk away about where we going and then after that and after that. It was not until he mentioned again where you were going now, that a faint memory flooded into your head. Your brows furrowed together whilst you tried to remember the details of the memory.
“What is it, Y/N?” Aragorn asked, concerned.
“Lothlorien. It sounds familiar.” You gave him a knowing look and his eyes widened, only slightly, in surprise. You both knew what that could mean. Legolas, however, did not, but he wanted to. He felt awful for eavesdropping yet again, but you intrigued him more than one ever had before, and his curiousness was getting the better of him.
Aragorn started to jog toward the forest, and you joined him, stopping once you were inside. Your eyes widened when you looked around, your breathing staggering only slightly, your heart thumping in your chest.
“Aragorn,” you whispered. “I have been here before.”
Hey chummer, i asked you a question about the best SR vidya waifu long time ago and you answered with 3 beautiful arts, im still ecstatic about that, never thought that my ask could have such wonderful consequences, those gorls are fine af. I hope eventually we will get a new game (with new waifus) in the future, because its been 5 years already and it coud be nice to have some new content. You are very cool and wish you all the best. Almost forgot the questiom - who was your MCs in SR games?
Tumblr media
Thank you! I really should draw them properly sometime but here’s a quick scribble of how I kinda pictured them - apologies to anyone expecting cute orc girls. And I know, not the most original names.
I played all three more or less the same way - charismatic smart-mouth asshole decker with a heart of gold. Wintermute and Snowcrash are deckers/riggers and Live Fast is a decker but handy with a pistol (and hand razors/monofilament wire if things get too personal)
I always played a decker because Neuromancer and Snowcrash have conditioned me to believe that hacking and diving into systems is something the protagonist should be doing. Mostly elves because I maxed out charisma and wanted the extra etiquette that came with the elf charisma bonus. My favourite characters to play in CRPGs are ones that can talk their way out of trouble.
Chapter 5 ~ Masterlist ~ Chapter 7
An elegant ship, carved in the likeness of a swan, flows through a river. Galadriel stood in it. On shore, cloaks were fastened around each of the Fellowship with green, silver-veined leaf-brooches.
"Never before have we clad strangers in the garb of our own people. May these cloaks help shield you from unfriendly eyes," The Lord of Lothlorien spoke as he watched.
As elves prepared for the departure of the Fellowship, Legolas stood among them, shifting parcels into a set of boats provided by the Galadhrim. He held up a thin wafer for Merry and Pippin to see, as they sat within one of the boats.
"Lembas! Elvish Way-bread. One small bite is enough to fill the stomach of a grown man." The elf prince announced.
You rolled your eyes at him in turn, stepping back onto the shore for last minute provisioning.
"Every league you travel south, the danger will increase. Mordor Orcs now hold the eastern shore of the Anduin." Celeborn continued. ""Nor will you find safety on the western bank. Strange creatures bearing the mark of the White Hand have been seen on our borders. Seldom do Orcs journey in the open, under the sun, yet these have done so!"
You sighed. It had to be Saruman doing, that you were sure of. You paused in your steps, and looked down. Celeborn held an ornate dagger before you.
"Le aphadar aen." (You are being tracked.)
You gently grasped it, and unsheathed it, watching as the blade glinted. "We can still finish this."
He nodded slowly. "By river you have the chance of outrunning the enemy to the Falls of Rauros."
You took one last glance at your reflection on the blade before safely sheathing it away. "It is time, Celeborn. Le hannon." (I thank you.)
"Alena," Haldir whispered, pulling the half elf into a tight hug. "Stay safe. Im mel cin." (I love you.)
They shared a quick kiss, before the marchwarden released his fiancee, and watched as she carefully climbed into the same boat with Aragorn.
"Ai! laurië lantar lassi súrien,
Yéni úntimë ve rámar aldaron!
yéni ve lintë yuldar avánier
mi oromardi lisse-miruvóreva
Andúnë pella Vardo tellumar
nu luini yassen tintilar i eleni…"
(Alas! Like gold fall the leaves in the wind,
long years numberless as the wings of the trees! The long years have passed like swift draughts of the sweet mead in lofty halls beyond the West,beneath the vaults of Varda wherein the stars tremble in the song of her voice…)
"My gift for you, Legolas, is a bow of the Galadhrim, worthy of the skill of our woodland kin," Galadriel spoke when you sat safely within the boat with Legolas steadying you.
Ever since that fateful night, you had cautiously grown fond of him. Your smiles were less forced when around him, and your laughs were infectious. Love came hard for the elven, and when it did happen, it was an immortal kind. You patted his hand as the elven prince stared in awe of the beautifully gifted carved bow.
Galadriel smiled at his thanks, and turned to Merry and Pippin next. "These are the daggers of the Noldorin. They have already seen service in war."
Pippin seemed unsure of the weapon in his hand, almost trembling.
"Do not fear, young Peregrin Took. You will find your courage." The Lady of Light spoke with a gentle smile before turning to Sam. "And for you, Samwise Gamgee: Elven rope, made of hithlain."
"Thank you, my lady," He glanced sidelong at the blades held by Merry and Pippin, then looked up hopefully. "Have you run out of those nice, shiny daggers?"
Galadriel smiled at him, but turned to Gimli, who diverted his eyes downwards.
"And what gift would a Dwarf ask of the Elves?" Galadriel spoke, her golden hair shining beneath the poignant blues and whites and greens of the forest.
Nothing." He frowned as though he was changing his mind. "Except to look upon the Lady of the Galadhrim one last time, for she is more fair than all the jewels beneath the earth."
You grinned at his words, while the elf lady giggled. He turned away to face the front of the boat before looking back at her again.
"Actually, there was one thing , ah, agh, that's quite impossible. Stupid to ask."
Once his request was fulfilled, she next turned to Aragorn. There was silence for a moment. Branches shook, a spider web's glimmering strands swayed in the wind.
"I have nothing greater to give, than the gift you will bear. Take care of her well. She only has me left." She paused, looking out at the river. "But You have your own choice to make, Aragorn, to rise above the height of all your fathers since the days of Elendil, or to fall into darkness with all that is left of your kin."
He nodded.
"Namárië. Nadath nâ i moe cerich. Dan ú-'eveditham, Elessar." (Farewell. There is much you have yet to do. We shall not meet again, Elessar.)
Aragorn nodded once more, turning away. Galadriel turned to the last of the hobbits, and handed him a crystalline vessel shaped like a teardrop, filling with a clear water and a shining light.
"Farewell, Frodo Baggins. I give you the light of Eärendil, our most beloved star." and kissed him briefly on the forehead. "May it be a light for you, in dark places, when all other lights go out."
Next, she turned to Alena, who grinned up at her grandmother. "I too have nothing to give to you, as you have the greatest gift of all. Cherish it well, my granddaughter. I have taught you well, and I hope you may come out victorious."
You watched as Alena dipped her head, and spoke quietly in return. A tender smile appeared on Galadriel before she turned to the last member of the Fellowship.
You.
"And what will the daughter of the High Valars want?" She spoke within your mind.
"You know what I wish for," You spoke instead, watching her.
There was a moment before the elf lady acquiesced with a nod of her own. "You have my word, Y/N."
And drew out a compact compass. "For when you lose sight of yourself and of the Fellowship. I hope that this will guide you in the right direction."
"Thank you," You replied, reaching out to grasp it, half in awe.
"Rinn- safelui bar." (Return safely home.)
A paddle splashed loudly into the water. As the Fellowship rows through the river, past the Elves onshore, out onto the river, leaving Lórien behind. White mountains rise starkly beneath blue skies and green trees. In the boats, Gimli talks to Legolas.
"I have taken my worst wound at this parting, having looked my last upon that which is fairest. Haugh, henceforth I will call nothing fair unless it be her gift to me."
"What was it?" The elf smirked from behind you.
"I asked her for one hair from her golden head. She gave me three."
You smiled at the interaction, paddling along. Soon it didn't take long for Legolas to take over the owing. Before long, the Fellowship's boats passed through a canyon. Alena glanced worriedly at Frodo's boat across the water, as she gently rowed hers and Aragorn's boat.
"Frodo, look! The Argonath! Long have I desired to look upon the kings of old. My kin," Aragorn spoke, lifting his head, half-smiled and tapped Frodo on the shoulder.
Two, marble white, majestic statues proudly stood on each side of the Anduin. Their left arms held aloft, their palms facing outwards in a simple gesture of warning. Voices sang out softly in the light.
"Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien. Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar tenn' Ambar-metta!'"
(Out of the Great Sea to Middle-Earth I am come. In this place I will abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world!)
"Beautiful statues," You commented, laying back comfortably as Legolas rowed. Alena from your left in agreement.
"They certainly are," The half elf replied.
It didn't take long for the group to disembark on a gravel beach, a spectacular roaring waterfall behind. Boromir looks troubled, as though he was fighting a conflict within him. Frodo skirted around the Captain of the White Tower, looking afraid.
"We cross the lake at nightfall. Hide the boats and continue on foot. We approach Mordor from the north," Aragorn spoke as he carried the items from each boat onto the shore.
Alena and Legolas left the makeshift camp to hunt for any nearby game. You and the hobbits started making camp, a little more cozier than just the dirt and sand for comfort.
"Oh, yes?! It's just a simple matter of finding our way through Emyn Muil? An impassable labyrinth of razor sharp rocks! And after that, it gets even better!" Gimli sarcastically replied, dragging the heavier weapons towards where Sam was forming rocks in a circle.
"Frodo, Merry, let us gather wood for the fire," Boromir beckoned the two hobbits away. Frodo's eyes locked onto yours briefly, and all you could recognize was the helplessness, the weight of the evil ring around his neck, and the fear, before he followed after the others.
You shook your head.
"Festering, stinking marshlands, far as the eye can see!" The dwarf continued, although half of the company was gone.
"That is our road. I suggest you take some rest and recover your strength, Master Dwarf." Aragorn drawled.
"Recover my-?! Nooo."
"We could leave now," You suggested, interjecting into the conversation with a shrug.
"No. Orcs patrol the eastern shore. We must wait for cover of darkness." Aragorn argued with a matter of fact tone.
"It is not the eastern shore that worries me. A shadow and a threat has been growing in my mind. Something draws near. I can feel it," Your gaze turned towards the dark pine woods, with a dark, brooding statue nestled amongst their needles. "We are not alone."
"Where's Frodo?" Merry piped up, returning with some wood in his arms.
“Didn't he go with you and Boromir?" You stood up, dusting the dirt off your knees.
"We got split up."
Aragorn turned his gaze toward Boromir's shield laying amongst the rest of his belongings. Then turned to you with that knowing look within his eyes.
Something bad was about to happen. Evil lurked around every crevice and corner.
You cursed loudly, sprinting after Alena and Legolas. Aragorn was hot on your heels, all the while calling for the two.
"Frodo?"
"Frodo?"
"Frodo!" Aragorn called from your right, rushing towards the hobbit. Before him was a high structure on the cliff edge, surrounded by the pines. A stairway ran up through its center, to a seat dwarfed by stone eagles on top.
You hurried to the other side of the hobbit, equally concerned. "Frodo, what happened? Where's Boromir?"
"Huh?! It has taken Boromir." The hobbit looked startled.
"Where is the Ring, Frodo?" You asked.
"Stay away!" The hobbit scrambled up and retreated from Aragorn, who went after him.
"Frodo, please," The Ranger pleaded. "I swore to protect you!"
"Can you protect me from yourself?!" The hobbit turned back to you and Aragorn, holding the ring upon his palm. "Would you destroy it?"
There was silence as the breeze blew. Slowly, the Ranger approached the hobbit, seemingly entranced by the power of it. You on the other hand, grounded your feet into the ground, refusing to let the evil sway your beliefs.
The power was small, compared to yours, but the promises within still affected you. A trial, you realized a little too late, to test your very being.
Aragorn reached out towards the Ring. With both hands slightly shaking, he closed Frodo's hand over the Ring and pushed it back towards the Hobbit's chest. "I would have gone with you to the end, into the very fires of Mordor."
"I know. Look after the others, especially Sam. He will not understand." He turned to you afterwards, and you nodded in turn.
Suddenly Aragorn straightened up, drawing his sword. "Orcs."
"Go, Frodo. Run." You grabbed your bow and an arrow. "Run!"
Quickly, you and the Ranger ran out from beneath the ruin and found a troop of Uruk-hai advancing.
Briefly, he tapped his sword once to his forehead before charging towards the nearest Uruk-hai.
You drew an arrow, and letting it go to see an Orc fell to it.
"Find the Halflings! Yaggh! Find the Halflings!" One of them chanted.
"Elendil!" Aragorn yelled, slicing two more out of his away.
In response, Legolas, Alena, and Gimli ran forward from behind the the ruin. As Legolas shot down several Uruk-hai, Gimli landed blows with his axe. While Alena sliced through multiple with her dual swords, you eagerly shot those that came too close to anyone.
Across the way, Merry and Pippin hid in a space under some fallen tree trunks, before spying Frodo close to them.
"Frodo!" Merry hissed, gaining the attention of the other hobbit.
"Hide here! Quick! Come on!" Pippin indicated a spot beside him.
Frodo glanced at them, then sadly shook his head.
"What's he doin', Merry?"
"He's leavin'."
"What?! No!" Pippin lept out of his spot and toward where Frodo hid.
"Pippin!"
Soon, both hobbits found themselves out in an open. Several Uruk-hai sprinted down the hill, towards them and brandishing their weapons, teeth bared.
"Run, Frodo! Go!" Merry quietly spoke, before cupping his hands, and shouts louder at the oncoming orcs. "Hey! Hey you! Over here!"
"Hey!"
"Over here!"
"This way!" Pippin jumped up and down, arms flailing around.
As both Hobbits ran away from Frodo, the Uruk-hai troops followed with a loud roar of anger. Taking the chance, Frodo made a break for it, running in the opposite direction.
Back at the hilltop, you, Alena, Legolas, Aragorn, and Gimli continued to fight the Uruk-hai. In one smooth move, Legolas stabbed one Uruk with an arrow then shot it out at another. Gimli wielded his axe. As Aragorn stabbed one behind his back, Alena sliced cleanly through another.
In a hurry,, Merry and Pippin ran across an old stone bridge. At its far end, they stopped in horror as the Uruk-hai closed in, both in front and from behind. As an Uruk runs up to them, raising his battleaxe, Boromir came  charging into the mix, roughly knocking the Uruk back, and killing him with his own axe.
Yet more closed in.
"There's too many!" You called, slicing the head off an orc cleanly off its shoulder. Before anyone could respond, three loud horn blasts were heard from down the slope.
"The horn of Gondor!"
"Boromir!"
Aragorn was the first to run down the slope towards the sound, but numerous Uruks stood between him and Boromir. The Captain sounded the Horn of Gondor again. This time, the Uruks rose their weapons, and charged at Boromir.
"Run, hobbits! Run!" He cried out, slicing through the first of many enemies that came at him. Soon you and the rest of the Fellowship followed in kind, shooting arrows and stabbing through the troops of Uruk-hai in a futile attempt to reach the Captain.
The captain of the Uruk-hai stepped forward from within the safety of his troops, and aimed a black-fletched bow and arrow before letting go.
You briefly closed your eyes, grimacing as you heard the gasp from Boromir, and the thud as he fell to his knees.
Merry stopped in mid-throw of a rock as Boromir, in shock. As the Uruks came closer again once more, Boromir let out a battle cry, rose, and swung his sword at one, who fell.
The Uruk chieftain growled, walking down the slope. He lifted his bow, and shot again, just as Boromir turned to look at him.
A black arrow flew into Boromir's stomach. He dropped to his knees again, gasping. Merry and Pippin still stood in shock, rocks in hand. You heard a scream from beside. Was it Alena?
He dropped his heavy head again, both gasping and panting at the exertion for air. Boromir stared at them for a moment before getting back up, and swung his sword at another Uruk.
 The captain shot at him one last time, in the chest. Boromir fell to his knees, and this time stayed there, swaying a little and blinking, as though he was surprised that this was it. His horn cloven into two. Merry and Pippin watched him, aghast.
In turn, they took up their swords and attacked the Uruk-hai. "Ahgh!" "For Boromir!
However the Uruk-hai simply lifted them up and carried them off. Merry and Pippin waved their arms frantically. "Help! Help!!!"
The Uruk-hai troop walked away from Boromir, wholooksed on helplessly. The captain stopped before his foe, who defiantly swallowed and glared back.With an ugly snarl,the chieftain pulled his bow back, ready to deliver the final blow.
Instead, you and Legolas both let go of your arrows, one hitting the neck, and the other at the hand. Now angry that his arrow went awry, the Uruk-hai turned to you, not noticing Aragorn until it was too late.
As Aragorn closed in on the Orc and in a flurry of swordplay, sliced his arm off and then stabbed him through the chest. The captain pulled himself up on the sword, closer to Aragorn, snarling in both pain and anger.
You let go of your arrow, watching with narrowed eyes as it hit the forehead. Before the orc could respond, the Ranger pulled his sword out of the Orc, and hacked off the Uruk-hai's head.
Panting, you and the rest of the Fellowship lowered your weapons. After a brief pause, Aragorn beelined straight for Boromir. "No!"
"Go! Go after them. Aragorn and I will catch up," You turned to the rest, whom swiftly left. Save for Alena, who hesitated, before agreeing with a nod.
Boromir, pale and bloodied, laid on his back. Aragorn kneeled beside Boromir, who grabbed the other's shoulder. "They took the little ones."
"Be still."
"Frodo! Where is Frodo?"
"I let Frodo go."
"Then you did what I could not. I tried to take the Ring from him."
"The Ring is beyond our reach now."
"Forgive me. I did not see it. I have failed you all."
"No, Boromir, you fought bravely! You have kept your honor," You spoke instead, kneeling on the other side of him. Aragorn placed a hand on an arrow protruding from the captain.
"Leave it! It is over. The world of men will fall, and all will come to darkness; and my city to ruin."
"I do not know what strength is in my blood, but I swear to you I will not let the White City fall, nor our people fail!"
"Our people? Our people." He reached for his sword. Instead, you placed the hilt in his hand, and helped Boromir clasp it to his chest. "I would have followed you my Brother, my Captain, my King!"
You placed a hand on his chest, and smiled slightly at Aragorn. "Go on. I'll follow soon."
With a kiss on the captain's forehead, the Ranger straightened up, and followed in the direction after the others.
"Boromir, son of Denethor, Captain of the White Tower," You spoke quietly, grasping his hand in your other. "Listen to me very closely."
"Y/N?" He croaked in confusion.
You leaned into his ear. "You have fought bravely, honorably. For your friends, for your people, for your country, and for Middle Earth. You have done much to keep the peace, and I need someone like you in the future."
You paused.
"Sina na- vamme i tyelde, captain. Ni indóme cen- tye en-. Tenna i lú, phata hendulya ar n- at senda. Ni am i -iel -o i valaina manwë ar vesse varda. Let sina n-.
(This is not the end, captain. I will see you again. Until the time, close your eyes and be at peace. I am the daughter of the Valar Manwë and his wife Varda. Let this be.)
Boromir's eyes brightened up at the recognition, and looked more at peace atthe words, as though he was guilty for earlier. He squeezed your hand one more time with the last of his waning strength in agreement, before closing his eyes.
And took his last breath.
N- a captain an men. Yare dagor dagornath, tye are -esse maure, yondo -o denethor.
(Be a captain for men. When Dagor Dagornath, you are in need, son of Denethor.)
20, 21, 25!!! for the ask game, please 💖 [also, hiii!!!]
thank you!!!! (also hii!!) i fuckign love video gaem im nerd
20 and 21. Book that would make a good game + Show/movie that would make a good game?
FUCK uhhhh first some reason my first thought was Artemis Fowl but I.... don’t think that would actually work.
Okay, what’s really interesting is storytelling in different mediums, and one problem with taking a story that is written for a book or a show or a movie, is that it is written for that format. There are some that would make the transition pretty well, even though it might sacrifice parts of the story. Like, it’s harder to get thoughts or feelings a character has without awkward narration, and usually impossible to get good facial expressions or subtle body language cues and that kind of thing.
I’m mostly talking written/screen to video game, but there are also notable differences between books and tv/movies that are probably why most adaptations are so infamously bad. Things like the amount of information that can be compressed for consumers of the media, the type of information such as inner thoughts/feelings and random worldbuilding details, and pacing. Both mediums have their strengths and weaknesses--the screen can be more immersive, and show you really cool ways of looking at things, and also allow for certain silent dialogue like body language or just more subtle implications (such as background characters behaving a certain way or expressions gone unmentioned) but also they can’t really do things that books can.
Video games have their own strengths and weaknesses, too. The interactive medium allows for all sorts of cool things you just absolutely cannot do in the same way in these other mediums. My favorite is probably environmental storytelling and the ways you can get stories across both purely from the setting around you (like in the Fallout game I forget the name of with the underwater city, or in Breath of the Wild with the ruins scattered around Hyrule, or basically all of Hollow Knight’s storytelling) and from little bits of scattered lore that you have to piece together into your own interpretation of what happened. (Again, Hollow Knight does this amazingly.)
So like, some stories can benefit from that, particularly either stories with a strong setting with good worldbuilding to base that on, or stories that would benefit from adding that yourself (although people might argue on whether it counts as canon or not).
So the question is to really think about what kind of books, tv shows, and movies can benefit from being directly interacted with and even changed by the player, what ideas can play out through simple environments a player can move around or in small boxes of flavor text to be pieced together, what stories can be conveyed that can benefit from being actively sought out rather than directly fed to the person consuming them. Something like Artemis Fowl doesn’t work, because there’s a set linear narrative and the choices that are made rightfully should be set. While a game completely separate from the Artemis Fowl stories with its own characters simply set in Haven City could be really interesting (such as the life of a LEP officer who isn’t famous and tangling with humans constantly, or even the life of a dwarf or a goblin or whatever, perhaps even with multiple choices of class and species--?) it wouldn’t really be an Artemis Fowl adaption so much as a spin off or addition to the universe. It could be really interesting, as for a cool as fuck city of fairies Haven City isn’t really discussed or explored all that much, but it wouldn’t be a true adaptation. It’d be inspired by, if anything.
I honestly can’t think of any books/movies/tv shows off the top of my head that necessarily would make a good game.
There are a few I could see being mildly fun--perhaps a sci fi survival game based on The Martian, a Mission: Impossible spy game, or (and I think this would be fun, tbh) a fantasy/mystery retrieval game based on The Librarians or Warehouse 13. I wouldn’t even mind seeing what a skilled game designer could do with A Series of Unfortunate Events, although I’d have no idea where to start.
The problem is mostly those stories being kind of linear and set. The player can’t really affect them, so to be effective it’d be better if it was a new story entirely merely in that universe, rather than just an adaptation of the original canon. For example, playing Lord of the Rings simply would not be the same as watching it or reading it. There’s no way to really make it organic or have that same amount of emotion.
While it’s not impossible to have a linear set story for a player to follow (See The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which has issues, but is definitely playable and enjoyable) it’s not really the same if you not only know the whole story but feel like you’re not actually part of it. You can have quick time events to see if Bilbo really got the the ring, or a sequence where you play as Legolas mowing down orcs, but it won’t really be the same.
Sorry for the long and unnecessarily pretentious answer, this is just something I’ve been really interested in lately so I overthought it like hell.
25. What power-up or ability would you want irl?
Real answer: shapeshifting. This is cheating as it’s more superpower than actually video game related, but like, still.
But answering more properly to the spirit of the question... The things that come to mind for me are Revali’s Gale (just fucking whooshes into the air lmao), Shape of Unn charm (turns into snail and wiggle lol), and Shade Cloak (nyooms through things by becoming a shadow).
Wait, actually, forget all that. I want to be Link from Link Between Worlds, turning into a painting and shit for fun. That sounds rad as hell. Look at me, I’m a cool funky little crayon drawing. Sike! I’m 3D now!
had to log back into this hellsite after months to tell you I still check your blog regularly, even while staying logged out of tumblr. I love your art and your characters and your storytelling. Your drawings of Mazoga and Borgakh are both amazing (Borgakh's ears are adorable), and also I think the only fanart of either of them I've seen? Which is tragic b/c they're the most important NPCs in the ES franchise.
I love Ned's arena backstory - my CoC was a pit fighter in the Anvil arena, and dragged herself out of the rubble when the Oblivion gate opened. She said "I guess," to the guard asking for help, and then says "I guess?!?" with increasing bafflement and frustration to the rest of the main storyline. She's half orc and half nord which is fine since Agronak also exists (although are there other half orcs? Or just half-vampire orcs?). She eventually settles into knighthood/wifehood with Mazoga.
oh cool! the increasing bafflement and frustration makes her seem like she has the illustrious status of “sane oblivion chracter”
yeah im kind of surprised at the like..general lack of ppl who are part elvish or part human since like in-universe we KNOW its a thing, but theres very few characters who jst like. had an elvish and human parent. hell there arent even many COUPLES like that which i just dont  get
anyway glad you like mazoga too she deserves more love , i should draw her again
That’s a lot of you!!! Thanks!!!
Doll: describe yourself through a mixture of fictional characters:
The biologist from Annihilation (emphatically not the movie). Giles from Buffy. I too am self-contained and happy in my little occult niche
Lace: list 5 things you like about yourself
I’m good at detecting bullshit, I’m good at picking up on nuances and reading things against the grain. I have nice eyelashes and eyebrows. I’m good at drawing animals.
Hot chocolate: do you have a crush / partner / etc? describe them if so!
He’s got a lot of little freckles and he’s self-conscious about going grey but his beard is ginger and now it’s got all these little silver strands in it and im gay
He is both incredibly critical and fair-minded, and I enjoy his company more than I thought I ever would anyone’s
Fireplace: what has been your favorite age so far?
Honestly, for the past 6-7 years or so, my life has just gotten increasingly better, so I’d have to say 26 :) The glorification of youth is a scam etc. and I can’t wait till I peak when I’m 54, bald and covered in tattoos.
Teacup: what are 5 of your favorite songs at the moment?
You know what, my taste in music is bad and 3 of you asked me this question so now i get to inflict it on you. i like music without lyrics or where the lyrics are incomprehensible or in a language i don’t understand, so i can shut of the word-processing part of my brain and vibe. i miss being a metalhead, probably the only thing i miss about being 17.
Heilung - Elddansurin
Huun Huur Tu - Chiraa-Khoor
Just about the entire soundtrack of Hellblade, but this one in particular
Zeal and Ardor - Sacrilegium I
Just close your eyes and let this one wash over you
I... listen to a whole lot of synthwave and spotify won’t let me forget it
Danger - 6:24
Carpenter Brut - You’re Mine
In the Face of Evil - Magic Sword/Gost
Blanket: what is your sleep schedule like?
I am embarrassed to say! I’m doing a phd so I work from home and usually it’s 1-10 AM. I sleep a lot. So much! Not even including naps!
Cookie jar: if you could be doing anything right now, what would you do?
I started an rpg with friends recently and it’s a lot of fun! I’m playing a very small, skinny orc diplomat called Tadeusz who is meticulously polite and accommodating and eminently reasonable but is also deeply machiavellian. he is trying to Manage the party which consists of three other characters who are all proving to be exasperatingly Unmanageable in their own unique ways. It’s been one (1) session and already there are grudges! resentments! while Tadeusz is just standing by like (image) .
So either that, or working on [eldritch punk comic book project] with my boyfriend.
2) LOL omg IM SORRY !!!! I Messed up the layout a couple of times while editing it so it must have been weird 😨
Tumblr media
1) Hiya! Honestly I think it would be best to get comfortable with more realistic proportions before you branch out into cartoon/anime style! I did it the other way round and I regret it a lot, bc I think it made my foundations really shaky and inconsistent. THAT’S NOT TO SAY u have to master the traditional art style before u start drawing any cartoons though!! I think it’s fine to do them together, just don’t neglect traditional anatomy and all that, bc it will help you a lot in the future regardless of the style you eventually choose to stick to!
2) LKMKLDS ANON STOP NOW IM GOING TO THINK OF THE STORE WHENEVER I THINK OF JC ………… he would be Mr penney???? MR..PENNEY..
Tumblr media
thank YOU for enjoying my drawings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
ahhhh thank you so much for such a sweet message oh gosh ANON YOU’RE MAKING MY HEART GROW 3 SIZES!!! Messages like this make me want to share everything with everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’M HONESTLY SO HAPPY that my silly little tips and stuff can make drawing fun for you BC THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN HAVING FUN WHILE DRAWING!!! Tumblr media
1) IM NOT SURE U WOULD WANT TO MARRY THEM ¾ OF THEM ARE A MESS!!!!!!!
2) OH I googled around a bit bc tbh I have no idea what they are called too, and I think it’s called the terminator/ half tone?? it’s basically the bit of colour between the light and the core shadow (the darkest part of where the shadow starts)
Tumblr media
THe coloured outline of shadows that alot of artists do is an exaggeration of how it looks in rl but it is pretty neat bc it makes the object look like it’s glowing haha
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1) AW THANK YOU ANON!!!!!!!!! it’s so sweet that you’ve stuck around for so long and that you take the time to do that!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HOPE I’LL KEEP DRAWING AND MAKING ART THAT YOU ENJOY FOR YEARS TO COME!!!!
2) OH no that plant is a random plant that I made up hahhaaa
Tumblr media
1) HELLO AGAIN AND thank you ahhh it means a lot to me that you take the time to interpret and think about my art in such a thoughtful manner😭😭😭 It’s really sweet and it makes me look at my art in a different way? I was thinking that the redrawn version seems more stiff and I wasn’t sure if I liked them more than the old ones, but after seeing this message I was like ohhh that is true I did try different things with the new versions and that is something I should appreciate and be proud of !! so thank YOU for the lovely words, it is my absolute pleasure to share my art with u!!
2) HE IS YOURS PLEASE TAKE CARE OF THIS WHIRLWIND
Tumblr media
1) I like using poses from magazines to study anatomy!! I either follow blogs that post magazine scans or I buy them myself when i can! Another thing I’ve found rly helpful was using fitness books/ videos as references… like those for muscle-building/ weight lifters, where there are diagrams of which muscles are working for a specific exercise. YOUTUBE has a lot of fitness videos, just type xxx workout, pause the video at any random frame, and u should be able to get a nice reference to study muscles with!! If u want references for the muscles themselves, some good books I’ve found helpful are: Strength training Anatomy and Anatomy for sculptors (I can give them to you off anon if you’d like)!
2) I HOPE YOU ARE enjoying the brushes !!! NO WORRIES AT ALL I’m happy to share my brushes with anyone who might want to try using htem!! SENDS YOU ALL OF MY LOVE BACK I HOPE YOU ARE ALWAYS HAPPY AND INSPIRED ❤❤
Tumblr media
1) omg this is so hard bc there are 213213 options and I could picture them as more than 1 type of fantasy creature tbh ……… BUT FIRST ONES THAT COME TO MIND WOULD BE : some kind faerie for fay haha, werewolf for tyler, centaur for emmett, vampire for jc, some kinda elemental spirit for cyrus, an orc for wade, and UHH some kind of wise gate guarding creature for parisi LOL
ILY TOO AND thank YOU for loving my silly boys!!!!!!!!!
2) AHHHH thank u anon I WISH YOU ALL tHE BEST AND I HOPE YOU KEEP DRAWING AS WELL ALWAYS 💞💞💞💞
Tumblr media
1) OR PERHAPS PARISI IS JUST ENORMOUS but also yes it’s true baby tyler is a tiny baby bean
2) LSKMDLKSM HOW CAN I NOT SAY I LOVE YOU BACK TO YOU THE SWEETEST ANON OF ALL TIME 💖💖💖💖💖
Tumblr media
1) omg anon this is a lie I am terrible at drawing anything symmetrically and if I somehow produced anything to make u think so, it’s probably because I spent 10 hours on getting it to look ok LOL I.. TRY TO USE GUIDELINES and flip my canvas to check that things are balanced… that helps me out a lot :’D
2) thank u anon for this ask it is beautiful and I will frame it and keep it in my room to encourage myself to start drawing batfam art again
Tumblr media
1) HEY ANON and thank u! I have a list of resources that I’ve found helpful here (at the bottom of the page) !! I hope some of that might be useful for you and feel free to drop me another msg if u need more/ want something more specific!!!!!!! ALL THE BEST
FINALLY back on track, after a month and a half of stuff getting in our way, but here we are with session 20!!!
Seon Adventures Episode 20: Going Solo...
With the passing of the night, comes the light of day.
The trio of Belli, Luctan and Mournimar awake alongside Morgan and the elf baby with notably Amelia, Archie, Burk and Rimefang missing. Luctan does elaborate where Amelia had gone, though it gets missed in the confusion when everyone wonders what happened with Burk.
Thinking quickly on her feet, Belli sends a message to Burk to check where he is. But all he answers with is that  Rimefang’s fine, don’t know where Amelia is.”
As Luctan fixes the baby up for the day, packing him like a little baby burrito (a babitto, if you will), the remaining bunch go upstairs, while Belli gives a call to Amelia. Amelia, who had been having the most wonderful of sleeps she has had since a long while.
“No.”
Belli sends her a message again with a whistle.
“No. Just no.”
Luctan has to repeat himself on where Amelia actually is, much to the amusement of the adopted duo.
As they climb up the stairs, everything seems normal and as expected from the previous night, people coming and going, welcomed and- And the party for some reason get approached by a very confused human, wearing the robes of the temple of Keemis.
Brunette, with an undercut, in his 30′s, scars on his arms and face, the kind man delivers a letter to the bunch, asking if they’re the Cultbusters.
“Are you the Cultbusters?”
“Depends on who’s asking?”- Belli.
“3 of them!”- Mournimar.
After a brief sibling argument about just up and telling people their identities, the man elaborates that the letter is written by Burk. Or. Well, he helped Burk write that letter for the party.
Mournimar is the one to read it to everyone else. All lower case, a lot of the words are misspelled.
“ hi. this is from burk. i am leaving now. ive been thinking and i think i do not need to be here anymore. i found one of the guys i was looking for and it was really easy and no ofense but i was hoping for cold hard killers and u r not. but you were all realy nice to me, nicer than any one has before so i am going to miss all of u very much. rimefang is coming with me because hes too cool for u. also i think hes geting bigger cause he started sheding or some thing i dont know. i left some scales for u, and ur share of the gold. there is a lot of stuff i wana go do and i feel bad draging u guys with me so i gotta go do it my self. but i want u all to know im not just going to kill people for me. i am doing stuff for u. For amelia and luc i am going to come back and we are gona have the best fight ever and learn a lot. For beli i am going to steal the biggest shinyest kazoo i can find. For morni i will stop punching wolfs and also be nicer to weird animals i find in the forest. u were all very nice and good with peeple and not good at vilence, and thats a good thing. but i dont fit in. bye for a while
 burk “
The trio are devastated. Belli is the most vocal, with Mournimar having to calm her down, while Luctan stands stoically, with the baby in his arm.
Burk left.
It’s heart breaking.
It’s heart breaking and the cleric tries to cast Calm Emotions on the lot of them to try and soothe their woes. Mournimar fails his save, Luctan doesn’t even try and Belli tanks that and starts shouting at him for imposing his magic on them, without their consent.
“Don’t you fucking dare try and tell me what to fucking feel.” -  She is emotion personified.
When things calm down, Luctan apologizes and asks for the messenger’s name.
“ My name is Malak. I am a Devotee of Keemis. I’ve been living here in this temple for a few years.” He had heard of the Cultbusters’ reputation and found interest and want to join them on their questing, seeing as they’ve stirred some cults out of their comfort.
Tumblr media
Thrown them out of their rhythm, if you will.
He is accepted, Belli referring to him as their “intern” for now and, with introductions made, and Malak gathering his equipment, the bunch of them take to the last tavern they had gone to for breakfast and meeting back up with Amelia.
Amelia waits for them there. Nel had spoken to her about how she managed to get her mother to agree on leaving town for a while with the help of a family friend. And she had made some sort of offer to Amelia.
The group are again together at the tavern and introduce Malak. Amelia and Malak shake hands as a distraught Belli pays the tavern keeper to go and work the kitchen for a while.
Amelia encourages her. “The fact he wrote us a letter means he cared about The Cultbusters.” She gently holds Belli’s arm, ‘cause Belli’s abandonment issues have kicked in hard.
There’s stress baking and then there’s stress cooking. And Belli does this handily. And she makes... so much food! 1st, second, third Breakfasts, if those were actual things, of course.
“It’ll be alright. He had to do what he had to do.”
Tumblr media
As Belli comes and goes with increasingly more and more plates of food, we end up talking about the baby and his future. The little elven boy keeps tugging at Luctan’s hair, fussing at him and getting fussed at.
A few suggestions get made. From Malak’s suggestion to raise the child in the orphanage, to the talk with Nel the other day, involving handing him over to a rich family.
The decision is hard to make. Whether he likes it or not, Luctan’s attached himself to the little one, but he knows he can’t keep him with the party as dangers keep increasing on their journey. He had been having waking flashes back to every incident since the child was with them and how scared he was from the screams and roars and hurts and aches.
He couldn’t let the baby travel with them further. He knew what he was going to do, regardless of where the baby went, but still.
Amelia catches up with Malak on his Keemis Clergy work.
 He’s been at this for 5-6 years or so. He heard about the party after the CB helped arrest the local cultists. He’s fascinated by souls and how they transition, based on their alignment. He’s searching for an answer to this question. Basically, he’s looking for research.
Amelia asks where he’s from.
Tumblr media
“I’m from Lian. It is not a good place to raise a kid and I left home, got a lot of people from my home town killed. We wanted to leave, thought we’d make our own band of soldiers to fight in the war and I’m the only one left. And so I try to find some meaning in the senseless death and resurrection and ended up meeting some Keemis priests. Fell in with them and came up here.”
The gang try to cheer him up about his backstory woes and some end up sharing their own troubles. Mournimar does so. Luctan gives away the shocker that his family owned slaves and that triggered his sense of aiding those in need, freeing the captive ones and fleeing via teleport scroll.  And lastly Belli tells the tragic story of her family.
Doting on the baby commences, while Mournimar gives Malak some pointers on the shenanigans he is up for with Belli, now that he is part of the group.
Following their hefty meal, Mournimar gets his new armor. Better fitted than his previous one. Since he found it in the barracks??? This one is more custom. Studded Leather, which raises his AC + 1
Going back on forth on where to go next, during this tragic shopping episode, Belli shares Burk’s treasures with the cleric, seeing as he had left them for the rest.
Before anything can be really bought, though, aside of the meals, we go for the payment on the Serial Kilelr job.
As the party draw closer to the dungeons, Mournimar suggests Belli let Luctan talk, which offends Belli, who gets encouragement from Luck and Malak that she’ll do great. Malak ingretiating himself by casting Guidance and Enhance Ability on the Half-Orc Bard, right before she approaches the receptionists, an older Half-Elf man and a yellow tiefling.
“Now is the time to prove them wrong.”
Tumblr media
The conversation is quick and Belli shines during this process. We are thanked, the lot of us, for the work we did and are pointed to the office of the Captain in charge.
While walking, we get a few pointers on places to visit around town.
Generally South-West of the city is a good night’s time.” the HElf answers Amelia. Though, uh,  he wouldn’t know personally. Definitely.
We walk down to the office, knock on the door before walking in.
We are welcomed in by the Halfling woman inside. She’s dressed well for her job. Not exactly the outfit one would expect for prison duty, but then again, they didn’t have a good idea on that, themselves. Blue eyes observe us warmly and kindly, through a wavy bob haircut, while she fiddles with the cuff of one of her sleeves. Her office is bare, maybe she’s new, maybe it’s how she likes it.
She kind of looks everyone up and down. “I’m guessing you’re the folks we’ve been expecting, huh?”
The party apologize as they didn’t have a proper schedule in mind and the thought is shared vice-versa as it just... Really was like that sometimes? Often times?! A lot. It happened a lot.
For finding the hide out of the slayer of cityfolk, for convincing his husband to give himself up and testify about his beloved, the ‘busters gain a monetary reward. As she pulls out a big chest on the table, Belli tries to convince her to unionise. To some possible success? She certainly seems curious about the suggestion itself.
Ames kinda looks her up and down and gives a smol little thumbs up
She’s a valuable worker, she’s worth more.
On behalf of the city of Crystalgate, thank you for all of your efforst in intervening with the issue. The culprits have been dealt with.” Much to the four original members’ surprise, the husband has been released, having promissedto turn over a new leaf.
Luctan would later ask the captain, who introduced herself to the five as River Blackbrace (Just River), where he could find the husband and, after ensuring her that he planned no ill will towards the man, she guesses he’d be back in town or at one of the temples.
The woman feels like rewarding us with more, since this isn’t her gold, yeah? Lots of paperwork time prevented. The five are given suggestions on places to go and spend our money. Between " Neladrie's Rarities” and “Snipper’s Hall’, the clothing store of Grinella, they have some good options on their way.
Grinella is the best at her work, as far as River’s concerned.
Before they go, we mention to River that we plan on participating in the Spring Festival’s tournament.
River mentions that it was originally created as a celebration of the heroes Septum Sabata. It’s a series of trials re-creating what they went through to save everyone. Malak has watched it a few times and things happening around the arena a few good times. He’s the local CG expert.
And if they really feel down, there’s also a place... a-a-
Café where they summon fae animals.
And should they need a good book,  there’s a library in the north east. “The Lady Stormweaver National Library.” The conversation about books prompts Luctan to show off the “Handerstaad” he got from Sa Doma.
And River spills the tea that Kheyha is a local. And has spent some time in the dungeons for her alcoholism antics. (Never meet your heroes, kids.)
They are suggested to stay away from the Ebryosis followers. Best leave those kinky fellas to their own “dungeons”.
As they walk walk to the clothes and magical trinkets shops, Mournimar has a heart to heart with Belli, apologizing for his behavior. While Luctan checks the money with Malak. The sibs hug it out, while the money is counted and distributed amongst all of them, even as Malak protests some.
There’s a faint tingle of wind chimes as the five go to one of the most eclectic collections of goods of various kinds we’ve ever seen. Sort of an order to it, anyways. A rainbow pattern across the show. Vaguely arranged in no particular order. Pretty much everything’s in a different size and shape.
A high elven woman, Neladrie, sits in a tall stool behind a desk, very long hair. She glances vaguely at us and has a monocular on.
Good morning. Feel free to look around. Please be aware you’re being watched, so don’t get any funny ideas. And Welcome.”  She points at her watchful little pseudodragon, watching from the rafters.
Belli uses mage hand to pat the dragon.
She knows she’s a good gorl.
The search commences as each member of the party search foritems with some help of the shopkeeper.
Malak gains supplies for his Divination magic, including dragon bones.
Mournimar tries and fails to find anything that could enhance his wisdom.
Amelia gets her hands on some lovely sea shells.
Luctan gets helped with finding a focus for his recently developed magical abilities. A small purple crystal.
All the while Belli takes her pick, between some wild musical instruments.
There is an holy banjo with all the gods’ symbols.
There’s a great axe with a wider handle. A didgerydeath, if you will.
And also, what appears to be a kazoo 2. One sort of kazoo entrance and branches out into different sights. It’s like if a kazoo had different pitches.
There’s also a set of bagpipes.
And last, but not least, an ukulele of sorts. Upon testing it, the ukulute sounds like a spannish guitar, almost.
Ostentatious is her brand and after testing all the instruments, she agrees to buy the ukulute.
Tumblr media
With purchases made, the gang take the next step of their journey, going to the “Snipper’s Hall”, where they meet the one and only  Grindelia Snipper. A Goblin Woman, standing atop a 7ft tall step ladder, measuring a tall model with her arm tattoo.
“OH! Welcome!”
"Snipper’s Hall” is a long building, like a miniature Viking lounge house, with elements of stone to keep it stable. There is a wide variety of different sort of premade outfits, models of different heights going from 4.5 to 8ft tall... And. There’s a jewelry section.
After a greeting, the party make their requests and orders in a friendly sort of manner. Mournimar buys a jacket and a stag brooch, Belli gets herself a new, lovely outfit, a dress of blue and pink, as well as a canine bracelet. Malak’s fine as he is and Amelia is left uncertain with what to purchase.
Upon Luctan’s request... A custom outfit which’ll take a few days to put together, the poor secret Tieflingman gets handled with amazing strength and tenacity by the spunky and overly friendly goblin woman, who measures him nice and well with her arm and finger, taking his numbers with keen eyes, even with his armor still on.
Tumblr media
He can’t be sure why, but the very suggestion she’s sent people to get treatment over the roughhousing sends a chill down his spine. The elf baby just has a blast during the entire developement.
Business transaction made, the next stop is “Peppery Pete’s Pile of Potions.”
Belli is still angry with the old gnome, over his potions involving Orcish strength, given the negative stereotype about Orcish intelligence lowering the user’s titular stat.
A stern talking to is to be had, before any dealings get made there.
Along the way to the shop, Luctan asks Malak if he knows anything about the tournament, beyond what the party had heard and he shares his knowledge with the gang:
“The Tournament is divided into three trials The Trial of the Elemental Lords, the Trial of the Beast and the Trial of the Betrayed.
The Trial of the Elemental Lords involves the blending of the elements being worked into a challenge that teams must overcome together.
The Trial of the Beast involves fighting a mighty beast that establishes victors as a cut above the rest.
The Trial of the Betrayed is the grand finale, the remaining 2 groups battle it out. But there are clerics on standby. You cannot aim to kill, just to knock unconscious. Any deliberate murder would be acted upon as such in a court of lawAfter the tournament, a party is held for all groups within the Echosmith Hall and the champions are presented with their rewards.”
Tumblr media
Luctan’s mind wanders. Things to be re-worked in his goals.
The lot of them soon reach the shop and, upon summoning Pete inside, welcomes are had. Arguing commences between the Half-Orc and the Gnome as Pete ultimately admits that he stopped producing the particualr offending potion, much to the losses in his product.
Ideas are being thrown around on potions Pete could work on in turn, before any business could be had, involving the party’s wants and needs.
Aside from getting a Greater Health Potion and a new Potion of Wizard’s Folly (after giving his first one to Danton back in Sa Doma), the party have... particular requests.
Belli takes note of the “ Basilisk Tears “ potion. For 200 gold, she most definitely buys that and makes plans. Fast plans on the use.
Tumblr media
On Luctan’s end, with the deal being made for Peter sponsoring the adventurers for the tournament to come, Luctan gives in to the support of the full party, now that they are all in the shop, as opposed to only half there. With the price for his sword’s modification being brought down to 1,000 gold and the helping hand of Mournimar, Amelia and Malak, who didn’t even want the share of money given to him, Luctan accets.
And hands his greatsword over to the gnome for the specific enchantments he requested.
Belli has that moment of realization, you know? The one, where you just know that you have to move, while the moving is available and contacts Ficus about the Potion of Basilisk Tears, a concoction that might JUST bring her family back to their old selves!
With the party’s blessings, she runs off towards the Crusty Challice, where Ficus will wait for her.
But she doesn’t go alone as Mournimar tails her, just to make sure she doesn’t get messed with, before getting to her older brother. All the while the rest of the group are welcomed to the back of the shop by Pete for training.
As the work out commences, Mournimar follows. And as he follows, he keeps an eye out for anyone shady that might be watching Belli on her way out of the walls of the city.
He doesn’t see anyone. But gets the feeling that he is watched. He investigates that feeling. He notices that someone in the crowd is watching him. Seems to be, looks like a bald older man, stocky built, little bit tall and for a second the tiefling swears there's the faint glimmer of horns in his shadow, but then they disappear. As does he as Mournimar tries to find him in the crowd. To no avail.
Tumblr media
Regardless, he continues on the path to the tavern.
There’s a bit of a smog in the tavern as people’ve lit cigarettes and pipes. Belli and Ficus have a good long talk as she shows him the potion of Basilisk tears. They are shaken, misty eyed and anxious to see if it works. This horror that befell their family... It could end in the next couple of days!
By the time she hugs Ficus, Mournimar has entered the tavern and commenced watching over the shadyness that may be observed from the patrons.
Which is to say, he’s basically looking through a sea of shade.
He does notice, though, one of the bartenders has a sort of, finely shaped jaw and stood up black hair, a bit of stubble and seems to be watching Mournimar a bit more intently than normal.
Mournimar tries to stealth closer to the guy, even though he’s aware. He tries to figure out who the guy is, but he has no idea.
Eye contact is made between the two as the guy slides a glass with Brandy over to Mournimar and just continues with his work behind the bar.
Mourni has a leetl sip to make sure everything’s Gucci. Tastes like some of the brandy from around Bavorum. Nostalgic.
Tumblr media
Through some small talk, Mournimar learns that the man’s name is “Joe”. Just a working Joe, you know?
It’s less of a talk and more of an interrogation as they don’t break eye contact.
“The brandy’s on the house, Mournimar.” the man answers with the name that the tiefling hadn’t given him. Like. At all.
No answer given on how he knows that.
He backs out the back door with a wink and Mournimar follows after her.
There’s no way the Half-Orcs don’t see this by now and they dash and jump on after the digitigrade ranger, who finds himself and Morgan out in the back alley, with no sign of the mystery man, named Joe.
He tries everything he can, from following tracks, to Hunter’s Mark, to Morgan’s snoofer, but nothing works. The man is just... gone.
Tumblr media
With the Narahs catching up to him, he explains what happened and has to be talked down from pointlessly searching for a man, or whoever, who is just “GONE”.
It is then that Belli must explain to him that she has to leave Crystalgate with Ficus. To try the potion on her family. It’s hard on Mournimar, but the frazzled tiefling understands.
Belli hands him Orion and states that, if anything is to happen, she’ll call the others. They then agree to meet up with the others for a proper goodbye.
The others, by the way, doing pretty well for themselves in this new enviroment.
A deal has been made that every time Amelia does good in the training, Archie gets a treat.
Given that the chunky kitty is on his back, getting pats on his big belly from the baby, she’s killed this training.
The entire development has left the running quartet staggering back to the rest of the party. Mournimar doesn’t spot anything off on the way back.
As everyone reconvenes, Mournimar gives them an update on the respective situations, giving in detail a description of this “Joe” character. He worries it could be related to Lazarus, his ex. Or Kahlia. Or Potencia herself. He gets calmed by Luctan’s wording on the subject.
“We’re a bunch of famous and attractive people. Let’s face it. we have fans.”
As the party splits up, with Belli making her goodbyes with the rest of the gang, Luctan Blesses her and Ficus, which catches Malak’s attention. Thinking about the type of magic being used, he can tell that, though holy, it is not one of the Five that has given Luctan his abilities.
Tumblr media
With Belli and Ficus taking Kevin and Killer, the rest of the party opt to go to the circus on the outskirts of town.
“The Voluptani Mystique “, a big tent circus in the north-west part of town’s outskirts. It’s fabulous on the outside.
They pay and notice at the entrance, a red skinned tiefling woman with a long, ball gown dress, leaning against the booth she stood inside and she waves a hand over and leaves a small mark with Prestidigitation.
Lead inside,  it’s basically how you imagine a circus. An arena with seats around the circle. The four and their animal companions take a seat at the front as the Dancing Lights Cantrip flies around the tent, lighting and highlighting everything and everyone gathered, people of many walks of life. Just here for a little show to end the evening.
A cloud of smoke emits from the middle and the huge entrance of the tent swings shut.
Inside the cloud the lights start hovering, we can see the lights start changing color and go in different directions, erratic and suddenly there are hops from around the room where everyone’s sitting. And back in the middle, when they look, they see a high elf woman with pitch black hair falling long and wavy towards the bottom.
She stands with one hand in the air and one hand spread outwards towards the side. She pauses, looks around the audience and she whistles three high pitched notes. She snaps with her pointing up hand and the lights skatter, going right towards the audience. The cloud disappears and in the time it was there, the original woman is gone and there are two halflings, a man and a woman and they start doing all sorts of contortions. They entwine and roll in a ball. Throughout the whole show there is this almost hypnotic flute music. Pyrotechnic displays and after each one, there is a set of three elven dancer,s almost dangerously close as they maneuver around. Really fucking weird. A whole lot of illusion magic is happening here.
At one point the elven dancers starts flying around and Mallak, being a local, has seen this before.
After 3 hours of this weird bewhildering performance the entire room lights up and it’s completely clear and the original high elf woman, who’s actually an eladrin, is still in that same pose as when things started.
And she says “Thank you all once again, as always, please leave your tips with faith on the way out and thank you. She snaps with fingers and purple energy surrounds her as she leaves.
Tumblr media
Bewhildered and amazed, Mournimar kinda wants to give this a go. Run away and joy the circus? Follow your dream, bud!
Having been in Crystalgate for a few years now, Malak had abided in a few viewings of the spectacle and, though it’s often with some modifications, it’s generlaly been the same good experience over time. He’s happy.
Amelia shares with the gang about the possibility of hanging out at Nel’s for a few days. As though there was any question on whether they would say “no” to such an offer.
 As the night covers the sky above Crystalgate, the party find themselves again at the rich sector of town, being watched by a guard.  Nel arrives at the gate, red faced after messaging Amelia. She forgot to give her a badge and was now paying the price with the run she had to make.
Sadly, though a talented bard,  Nel has the muscle content of a slug.
The party soon make it back to Shadowspire Manner, lead by Nel, after introducing Mal to the Half-Elven woman and sharing of Burk’s departure.
They are shown around. the rooms, the kitchen, everything they’d need, before she takes Amelia’s hand and leads her to her room. Nel’s room. She is the body guard and she must guard that body.
Mournimar and Malak opt to crash in Luctan’s room for the evening, deciding not to split the party any further than this.
Luctan watches out of a window for about an hour, while humming to the baby, before going to bed.
As Mournimar and Malak sleep, Mournimar has some kind of dream...
Tumblr media
But Luctan doesn’t sleep.
No.
Instead, once he’s sure the others have fallen in rem sleep, he sneaks outside and goes for a short walk around the neighbourhood, doing whatever it is that he does at this time.
After coming back in, 5-10-20-to-30 minutes later, he feels the hairs on the back of his neck stand up and notices a shadow close to Mournimar, with no one casting it.
Then it disappears.
Tumblr media
After investigating out the window, Luctan goes to bed and meditates... on something else.....
Day 2 comes to an end.
Orc x reader Request: can you write a mafiaAU with an orc who you fall in love with but don’t realise hes in the mafia so you run away and come back but he still loves you. I love that you started writing for orcs as well You should have never got yourself tangled up in this life, especially in this way. shoving clothes into a bag, your heart was hammering as you tried to reason with yourself. It was for your own safety, and for his. It all started over a coffee in a busy café, where he had asked to share your table. Then he offered to take you out for a meal. One thing had lead to another and before you knew it, you had fallen deeply in love with the orc. But there was thing he didn’t tell you about. Like how he was the son of the head mafia leader in the city. About how for every ali he had, he had several enemy’s. And that they wouldn’t blink once about killing you to get to him. But you had found out after a shoot out last night. You found out everything and on the night you thought you might have been happiest, your world had come crashing down around you. Karu had brought you there for one reason, and you knew it before you left your home. He had left his suit coat on the table which he took a phone call in the other room. You had been looking for your keys when you moved it and felt a small box inside. curious, you pulled the box out of his pocket and inside was a ring. You of course shoved it back and pretended you hadn’t seen it, but your heart was bursting with joy. You were a little no one with enough money to get by. The thought of having the love of your life propose to you was enough but he was from a wealthy family who owned a lot of businesses. You were both very young but knew what you wanted. Your life looked perfect. But then, someone had pulled a gun and started firing at you. not at him, at you. before you knew what happened. There was several guns and a fight broke out. Someone grabbed you by the wrist and pulled you out of the blaze. His shoulder. An older orc who had always looked at you with an air of pity in his eyes. He told you everything. About the mafia, about Karu, about what your life would be if you stayed. You would always be in danger. When you got home, you had packed your bag. You would leave the city right now, not look back. you left a note, telling him you loved him but you were scared. And with that, you fled. ------------time skip -------------- Ten long years past before you dared to return to the city. Walking down the streets, you felt like your were in a dream. Several shops had changed but most of them looked untouched by time. Faces changed but the buildings didn’t. You didn’t know what you expected. You left your belonging in your hotel room and decided to go explore the areas around. When you came across that little café, you couldn’t help but be drawn in. you ordered your coffee, which had never changed, and sat at a small booth in the back of the shop. You sat for about 15 minutes, browsing through your phone as you tried to figure out the best place to go next when you were drawn from your thoughts. “[y/n]?” That voice. It made you freeze. Your eyes followed the voice to see a familiar face. Karu. He wore a black suit with a white shirt. The years hadn’t been cruel to him, but they certainly hadn’t been kind either. His face showed years of stress, his eyes having bags under them and his youth had matured into the handsome features you now saw. But his eyes were the same. Especially considering they still looked down at you with love. His tusks now had marking on the bottom of them, symbolling his maturity and growth with his family. His skin was still that lovely soft green tone you had always loved. you might have jumped up and wrapped your arms around him, if the last time you had last seen him hadn’t been so violent. Fear flooded through your body. Was he angry? Would he still hold a grudge against you for your actions? The only reason you had left as you had was from fear he might not let you. Karu saw your fear and winced, taking a step back. he dropped your gaze, all the hope drained from his eyes. “My apologies.” He nodded his head, turning away from you. Damn your heart, which still held deep feeling for him. You jumped and called out his name, but the movement was like you had been hit by lightning and you ended up knocking your phone out your hand and onto the floor. Karu quickly turned to you and, upon seeing your phone on the floor, ducked down to grab it. His eyes glanced at the screen and saw you had been looking at restaurants. He handed the phone back to you. “You know, I know a few nice places. Umm. Real private. Perhaps I could show you around?” He offered, reminding you of the first time he had asked you out. “That…” You paused, your mind racing as you fought tooth and nail against your heart. But you couldn’t. not when he looked at you with hope in his eyes. “That would be lovely.” ---------------------time skip -------- You sat back in the booth of the restaurant, holding your hand over your heart as you tried to stop yourself from laughing so hard. Karu had always understood your humour perfectly and could make you laugh at anything. The meal was long finished and small restaurant want lit in a low, warm light. You were seated in a secluded booth at the back. it wasn’t visible by anyone unless the waiters came to check on you. “How long are you in town?” Karu asked as you both settled down. “About another 3 days.” You tell him and you see his smile faulter. You drop his gaze, looking away from him as you do so. “i-i-“ He drew your attention back to him as he looked down at the table, his brow knitted together in deep thought. He sighed, shaking his head. “I never got over you. Never.” He breathed. “Karu, im so sorr-“ You were about to say when he cut you off with a sad smile and shaking h is head again. “You have nothing to apologies for. You were right. I was so focused on my own love for you that I couldn’t see how much danger I put you in, especially by not telling you everything.” He spoke and looked up to you. you could see how much he had matured over the years, and it made your heart cry out for him. “It wasn’t as… bad as you might think. We weren’t the bad guys. We kept the real bad ones at bay. I didn’t want anything to do with it so I kept more to the business side of matters.” He drops you eyes and looks over the table as if he couldn’t bare your gaze. “Especially when I met you. couldn’t believe my luck. I just, I wish I had told you so you could have made your own decisions.” you didn’t know what to say to him. You both sat there in silence, the mood suddenly dropped. “You know I didn’t leave to hurt you?” You finally asked, drawing his attention back to you. he offered you a soft smile that melted your heart. “I know. I don’t blame you, either. I came home that night and vowed to tell you everything. Let you make up your own mind. i just wish I got the chance to tell you how much you meant to me.” He smiled sadly and reached out his hand to cup your cheek. “I was just scared. And I’d seen the box in your coat that night. I don’t know, I just got so scared with the shoot out and I panicked. I would have, I would have said yes if id know. I-i-I-“ you tailed off. You didn’t even realise that you had been crying until he wiped your tears away with the pad of his thumb. You reached up and pressed your hand against the top of his, keeping his hand on your cheek. he wrapped his free arm around you, holding you against his chest as you cried. -------------time skip --------------- You stood in the train station with your purse open, double checking you had all your tickets. Once satisfied for the 11th time, you closed it and put it back in your purse. You checked your suitcase was still beside you and your handbag was by your feet. Why did it feel like you were missing something? Or someone. Biting down on your lip, you hated yourself. After that night, Karu had taken you out for lunch and then last night for a farewell dinner. And it just felt so nice and natural. You had been on dates, sure, but these ones had just felt right. you ran your hand through your hair as you looked up to the trains details. It was due in 4 minutes. “[y/n]?” A voice called you and you twisted round. You couldn’t help but smile as Karu walked up to you. he wore a long black coat that gave him a gentleman vibe you loved. This along with his signature suit was enough to make you weak at the knees. “I had to come and say goodbye.” He smiled as he came to stand by your suitcase. “You said goodbye last night.” You pointed out, knowing there must be something more. He must have bribed his way onto the platform since there was barriers and guards on the station. Karu laughed but nodded. “I have to give you this.” He pulled out a black box, one which you recognised but you had to make sure. Taking the box, you opened it to see the very ring he had planned on proposing to you with 10 years ago. “Karu, why-“ You were cut off. “It’s a sign. I’ll always be here for you and I’ll be whatever you need me to be. A friend, protector, anything. I just need you to have this because I bought it for you to show you how much I love you. that much hasn’t changed.” He smiles, his eyes filled with tears as he looks down at you with such love and adoration in his eyes. You were about to speak, to say something when the sound of a train made you jump and look down the track. Your train was early. “Have a safe journey.” He calls to your over the train, cupping your cheek lovingly before turning and walking away, his hands buried in his pockets. You stood there, froze in spot with the ring in your hand. He was still completely and utter in love with you. after 10 years, he had kept the ring. Your mind was racing. He loved you and you loved him, so why were still deliberating on your decision? You heard a faint whistle then someone touched your shoulder. “Miss? You getting on this train?” The conduct asked, nodding to the train which had stopped and let all the passengers on. You blinked and your decision was made. “No, sorry.” You say, your voice shaking as you smile at the conductor. He smiles back before retreating to the train. You picked up your handbag and grabbed your suitcase. Hurrying along the platform and into the station, you passed through the barriers with raised eyebrows from security but they didn’t question. You saw Karu descending the steps to the station, his head low. Running out the door, you stopped at the top of the stairs. “Karu?” you called out his name and he jumped, turning back to look up at you. “[y/n]? your train-?” he asks, walking back up the stairs as he glances behind you. “You said you would be whatever I needed, right?” You ask, and he nods once. “well, I need YOU.” The words broke him. his arms wrapped around your waist and you were pulled against his front as his lips crashed onto yours. You instantly wrapped your arms around his broad shoulders, able to feel the muscles under the clothes he wore before pulling yourself against him as hard as you could. You need him more than you had ever admitted. You felt his tusks grazing your cheeks as his lips worked furiously against yours in a way that made your knees weak but you were secure in his arms. When you both pulled back, you were panting hard. Your face was bright red and you could see the smile on his lips. “The only thing is, since ive missed my train, im going to need somewhere to stay while I get things sorted.” You giggle, knowing full well what his offer will be. “A lady like you needs a few options.” He offers you his arm while he grabs your suitcase. You hook your arm in his. “You may stay with me where you will have the option of several rooms, or you can stay in one of my hotels.” “I think I should stay with you.” You giggle, cuddling into him as he guides you to his car. “And as for beds, I would be fine to share it should the demand for the others be too much.” You glance up and see Karu smiling widely as he opens the door of his car for you. “And we must celebrate.” He slides into he drivers seat after placing your suitcase in the boot. you couldn’t help but look at him and smile, unable to believe you had chosen to stay. But it felt right.
I think your OCs are very attractive and I'd love to see more of them
ive had this ask for years lol..... im very glad you thinks my ocs are pretty, thank you!! anyway i think this is a good opportunity to see what kind of ocs i’ve had over the years....
Tumblr media
laura’s my overwatch oc! a medical engineer equipped with prosthetics and assistive orthotics! her legs are hardlight and the rest of her gear are necessary for her to move her right arm and what’s left of her lower limbs lol
mithiin’s my first inquisitor. she’s a poet and an orlesian elf who only got associated with the lavellan clan cause she seeked refuge with them during the mage thing. she’s too shady for her own good but gets really sad over the smallest thing
Tumblr media
mryka is my second inquisitor, technically? i never finished her game. she’s a rogue who’s a supplier who is now dealing with the fact shes killing people. she likes flowers and trying to avoid the fact people call her the herald of andraste
jarad is my disaster inquisitor. he can take down people with a table, leg and all. he’s very resourceful and smart but he’s kinda sexually frustrated all the time lol. he’s a good friend to drink with and he likes holing up in his room to make things for like 12 hours straight
Tumblr media
valka and mari are my paladins ocs, my most recent! they are born of crystal magic, which resulted to them being more resilient to it and surviving what are otherwise deadly accidents
mari’s a weaponsmith who’s hunting down people profiting from the war and makes weapons so people can defend themselves, while valka is a superhero type who got liquid crystal in her veins and is a punchy healer. she’s a bit of a recluse but she’s trying her best
Tumblr media
as for these three….. yeah theyre from a really old story. sirius has mind google, cetus is a feisty one, and dana is… lets just say she’s done so many shit it’d take me a while to explain why
Tumblr media
kirscei and lyra are from my political fantasy story! kirscei is a governor from a city state while lyra is her… butler? assistant? the story’s about them going to a political summit of sorts to discuss some war aftermaths
Tumblr media
aaaand to top this off, there’s my two dnd characters! kirscei v.2 is a neutral evil warlock who’s just there for money and for herself, while there’s laz’rene, my elf-orc ranger who’s not that fleshed out yet but she’s like. a bounty hunter? idk
also idk why there’s two completely different kirsceis it just kinda happened
theres probably more but idk i feel they’d be too much to draw, esp the ones from my original stories lol. seeing this i think i need more varieties on body types x_x
