This is the master post for Ghost in the Machine links, character refs and FAQs.
I will try my best to keep this post as up to date as possible.
What is Ghost in The Machine?
GITM is a DCA AU and a fic set in the retrofuture (2055ish) long after Fazco has shut down. An eccentric collector has been acquiring versions of the Daycare Attendant animatronic from closed locations around the world. The story involves a reader character who has been brought into repair the original post-Ruin DCA from the games, and hijinks ensue. There are also ghosts.
Where can I read the fic?
GITM is currently being posted on Ao3, and is updated every three weeks on Saturdays. The fic is being beta'd by the tremendously talented @bubbiethesaur. You can read GITM here!

FAQ~
Why haven't you answered my GITM ask?
One of three reasons: 1) your ask was too spoilery* 2) I'm waiting to answer it with art 3) ADHD
*spoilery includes but is not limited to: any questions about dual-AI or XYZ character's sun/moon variant; questions about character backstories and lore; questions about characters that have not featured in the fic yet (e.g Nova, Sanii, Harvest, Sunflower, Sandman etc); asks speculating about potential future scenarios (don't get me wrong, I love these asks, but I can't answer them!)
Where are all the Moons?
Read and find out. Seriously. There are at least 5 Moons who are core to the plot but I'm not going to talk about them, no matter how nicely you ask!
Does XYZ character have a Sun/Moon counterpart?
Some of them do, some of them don't. The dual-AI stuff is majorly plot related. If I'm not talking about someone's Sun/Moon counterpart, rest assured you will find out eventually. I won't be spoiling any of it on tumblr though :)
Can I create fanart of GITM?
Yes yes yes please do and please tag me when you post it so I can see it/reblog! If you are unsure if something is ok, please ask.
Can I create fanfic of GITM?
Super flattered about this. I have a longform answer to this question which you can read here. But tl;dr yes you can, please tag/credit me, do not spoil/try to write the lore, and please do not write GITM au (e.g mafia, mer, medieval). I have my own plans for this stuff and I would prefer to release the designs/stories in my own time. If you are unsure if something is ok, please ask.
Do you have character refs I can use?
There is a collection of art 'refs' for each character on the Misutamojis discord. Latest link here.
There are no proper call-out sheets/refs currently, but I have a huge body of art for the characters on this blog which should give you more than enough info for most of them. I will get around to creating proper refs eventually, in which case I will link them here.
Where can I find the playlist?
I update the spotify playlist fairly regularly, if you have any music recs you can send them over in an ask! You can listen to the playlist here!
I've heard there are secret GITM drabbles, where can I find them?
I used to post frequent drabbles from future chapters in the DCA Palooza discord, I have recently deleted the majority of them as people were going back and binging them which hadn't been the intended reading experience. Anywho, this question probably refers more to the spicy drabbles (which people have very kindly made a lot of delicious art for). These are still around! You just need to access the spicy channel and do some digging.
Is there a GITM discord?
Nope! There is a server for GITM emotes and a busy thread in the DCA Palooza, but currently I don't have any plans to make a GITM-centric discord community. If that does happen in the future it's likely I will simply convert the emotes server (Misutamojis).

I can draw pretty much anything. Furries, RPF, OC insert, Self insert, crack ships, detailed designs, i can also illustrate fanfics, Headcanons, and shitposts. i will need you to send me as many references as possible, of the characters, the clothes & accessories, and the pose you want for them. (stickmen drawings are fine, and if you describe the poses it should be fine as well but it's harder to visualise for me) might ask for some context around the characters if i don't know them :) same if they're original characters, tell me everything<3
you can send me a drive folder with every information necessary. If you don't have many ref, you can send me everything in DMs directly.
the ideal ref folder has : face closeups, in side profile, front, 3/4, (faceclaim is very helpful if there is any) same for the body, ref sheet or at least a good indication of the character's body type, body language, and style. same with clothes. and a .txt file where you write your idea + where are some specific details like their scars, or facial hair, birthmarks etc, and any info you think might be relevant<3 and a clear pose reference if possible
once i start the commission, i'll kinda disappear for a week or more, then come back with w.i.ps, i will ask you if there's anything you want to change
sometimes it can take a lot longer than planned and sometimes it can be quick.... you just can never know, so just be prepared for that eventuality.
if you have a deadline for the commission (ex : birthday gift, holiday etc) i will be on time. but please contact me more than one week in advance.

Hi I just wanna say I love your redesigns for the creepypasta characters! I'm curious what weapons does each character use and what abilities do they have if they have any?
Thank you! Some of these mfs I have been very unsure about. I need to draw their other outfits. Like their fancy lil suits. Slenderman has a dress code for his proxys however the rules of it are not super strict. They can wear what they like so long as it meets his criteria. (Gonna be hard to draw Wilson ina suit without making him look like some kinda wanna be joker :o( )
This is gonna seem unnecessarily long but I feel like I do need to explain a few things about how Slendermans Proxys work in PM as well as how living humans are affected by just being in the underworld because it isn't made for living humans.
There's also as far as weapons go that, while they DO have weapons they ENJOY to use most, Slenderman is very particular about how things are done so they don't always get to use them. Proxys are more like Hitman or assassins (at least Slendermans are). I'll give some faves for each of the 3 main fuckers living with Slendy (who aren't 100% OCs) currently as I'm still figuring out anyone else who may show up (I have plans for EJ to show up and potentially may start working on my own version of Toby as well as a few other OCs who are Proxys for other Opporaters in the Underworld)
As for abilities I think even the humans have at least one natural ability. Humans who get hurt in the underworld don't really always heal like they should because they aren't meant to live there. When a monsters that live down there hears "human" In the context of someone living there. They assume that you mean someone who died and is now living there as an undead. They assume Zombie or Ghost, potentially even a poltergeist. But never just a breathing living human. So when living humans do get hurt the same "magical grid" (for lack of better words) keeping them from dying also heals serious injuries in a way to try and prevent the same injury from happening. It's a whole thing and I'll explain how it works with each character (in this post specifically Jeff and Wilson)
That being said I'll stop rambling and actually answer the fuckin question!
I will put a trigger warning for things like blood and mentions of self harm and mild body horror(?) (I think ripping flesh counts for that if not for mild blood/gore this is specifically for Jeff split mouth. Not sure anyone will be bothered but better safe than sorry.)
Jeffrey DuBois
Weapons - Jeff enjoys using knives mostly (shocker!) however he doesn't use them a lot while actually doing Proxy work. In fact he most commonly will just SNIPE a mf. He doesn't particularly LIKE when his job is that quick or easy but hes also not complaining, it's easy money. (Jeff the killer with a gun is also just really fucking funny to think about). he's always stoked when told that he won't be able to kill from a range though and that he'll have to actually get close and personal. But him not being able to kill with knives doesn't mean he doesn't still use them. Killing is his job but cooking is his passion and for him the two go very hand in hand.
Abilities- Jeff is just a human guy like I said so his Mouth scars didn't heal normally. He got them just before getting to the underworld and they were only partially healed but in his early days with Slenderman he did end up making them even worse. When they healed however he found out shortly after that he could reopen them and close them at will and it didn't hurt. In short his mouth can open up similar to a snakes. I've drawn it before in a previous Ref sheet, here's how it looks.
Other abilities he has are really just because of training. Though he does tend to accidentally sneak up on people despite the fact hes fucking HUGE. Man just doesn't make sound when he enters a room and it's not really an intentional thing. He will seemingly just pop up out of nowhere like a spooky ass ghost.
WILSON CROSS
Weapons - He likes machetes. That's really all there is to say. Wilson is still in training at the Institute and unlike Jeff he doesn't care as much about the professionalism Slenderman insist his Proxys have. While he follows his rules he does try and find ways around them because he is actually trying to make things fun for himself.
Abilities - Like Jeff, Wilson is human. He's been in the underworld for FAR longer, he grew up down there and has a couple different things the biggest being that after coming through the well that brought him to the underworld Wilson DID fall into the river Styx and was found and pulled out of it By Frankie and Jackie. If your familiar with how the River Styx works you know anyone who falls in that shit gets the Curse of Achilles. Which probably sounds fucking WILD. The obvious upside is that hes just really fucking hard to stop. The man seemingly just doesn't feel much pain. However even in the underworld where he won't die he still if hit in the right spot will go down like a bag of bricks and he's not getting up until he's had time to heal. Which can take a few days. If he's in the over world he WILL just fucking DIE. So he has to be a Lot More careful up there. Imagine you just trip and fall the wrong way and fucking DIE. Aside from that though he can bend and turn and just overall move in weird ways due to the amount of bones he's broken growing up in the underworld and how they healed weird like with Jeff's mouth and of course Wilson being an idiot. Seriously, some of the stories he has are just summed up to him being a dumbass. Only a couple people who know his weakness aside from Jackie and Frankie is Jeff.
Jackie Ragzdale
Weapons - While they technically do work for Slenderman they aren't actually proxy however they do still kill on occasion for personal reasons and funniest shit I just thought it was silly is that they will use various weapons however Jackie is a Toyfolk and thus all their weapons are made IN TOY LAND. So they might pull a shot gun out of their box, sure but it's going to LOOK like a toy. It won't LOOK real. It's gonna look like a full-sized toy shotgun but it is in every aspect a REAL ASS GUN. And I just find that so funny. And they ALSO find it funny. They will go "STICK EM UP THIS A ROBBERY!" Knowing damn well no one is gonna think that's a real ass gun and then laugh at their surprise when they shoot and it's revealed to be a real ass fucking gun! This is made worse when you take into account they do just have Prop/fake weapons in there as well so sometimes they will just fuck with people by using a fake one and being like "Haha gotcha!" In short they like Toy weapons that are real weapons but look like fake ones.
Abilities -Compared to the original cannon LJ, Ragz doesn't have nearly as many abilities. They have 3 different forms though.
They have a Toy Decoy, which is basically exactly what it sounds like where they just are a seemingly normal inanimate toy, this is for when they're in their box but either not home, busy, or just simply don't want to come out of it.
The second form is a smaller doll like form. Which lets them appear as a regular toy but still be able to move around. They usually use it to scare people who don't know they're alive. Other times they use the doll form is when they need to hide, are hella tired, or when dealing with children. They often are in the form when spending time with Sally.
The 3rd form is the form they most usually are in.
Other than that they can very easily switch out their body parts. They want different arms they can just swap them if they want. They do have to be made with materials from toyland to work properly however.
That's all as far as the main character who are technically Rewrites who use weapons or have abilities right now. Everyone else is either an OC or I'm still developing/designing and coming up with their backstory.

Alright, here's a ref sheet of the five main characters for the secret AU I've been working on. Its a Ninjago AU. I haven't quite decided what I'm going to do for the story yet, as I'm still figuring out characters outside the main five. I'll post doodles of this AU later, but for now here's the ref I've drawn up.
For those who don't know what Ninjago is, its a lego show about ninja with elemental powers. I don't really watch the show any more but its a fun concept so here we are.
I'm too tired to fully explain my reasoning behind why I picked which element they all got so I'll give you the very short answer. Fell free to ask questions though if your curious about anything.
Fireheart is elemental master of fire(for extremely obvious reasons)
Graystripe is water elemental master because of his connection to RiverClan
Ravenpaw is elemental master of ice(I don't have a good explanation for this one, it just fits somehow)
Dustpelt is the elemental master of earth because of his name
And finally Sandstorm is the elemental master of lighting because of the storm part of her name.
Now for the part where I'd love some feedback. Not sure if I'll actually get any but I'll at least leave this here in case anyone actually does have something to say. If you don't care, feel free to ignore the rest of this.
For anyone what knows the show or at least wants to throw your two cents in, I've considered putting Bluestar in the role of Sensei Wu and Tigerclaw in the role as Garmadon, but I would love to hear if anybody has a better suggestion. Wu is the mentor figure and teacher to the ninja. If you've only ever watched the movie, he's just another mentor figure that gets killed off, but in the show, he's currently still alive. Garmadon in the show, is the brother of Wu and a villain for a while before getting the evil taken out of him and becoming a good guy, and then sacrificing himself. He is then later revived, but in his evil form which is currently how is is in the show, kind of(I haven't kept up too well so I could be wrong about this).
Basically, who should the mentor figure be and who should the villainous counterpart be. I can work around family trees and make two characters related somehow, if anyone has better suggestions than Bluestar and/or Tigerclaw.
Also, in the show, Zane(ice ninja) has a falcon friend, and since I made Ravenpaw the ice ninja, I thought it would be cute to give him a bird friend as well and have considered making Barley the bird since I'm a huge FireRaven shipper but still appreciate the bond Barley and Ravenpaw had in the books. I thought making Barley a magpie bird that follows Ravenpaw around would be a nice little addition to the AU. I'm totally down for suggestions for different birds since I'm not set on a magpie, thats just currently the one I'm thinking about. I am also open the hearing suggestions for different inclusions of Barley, with him being an actual character rather than being Raven's bird friend. The falcon in the show never got a proper name so Raven's bird doesn't have to be someone specific, it can literally just be some bird.

I'm interested in knowing about Lamb's follower spouses. What's each of their personalities like? How they became close to Lamb. How do they feel about Narinder? Does Narinder hold any jealousy towards them? Is there any fondness between them and Nari?
(you don't have to answer all of these, just listing off things my brain wonders about.)
I do actually have ideas of their personalities and roles in the cult and what happens with each character respectively but I honestly cannot put it into words until I at least create their ref sheets. (I am currently unmotivated to do it though..)
How they grew close to lamb I have less in my head about and how they feel about Narinder i dont know either. I haven't gotten that far with the characters yet. I just recently named 2 of them. Im sorry y'all ;-;
I can say that Narinder is jealous, yes.
The timeline I have for the spouse relationships is all kinda foggy rn. I dont know the best way to put things and what the best order of events would be without it being silly.
I also wanna draw something about the aging and death of Lamb's first 2 spouses but I can't decide how I want to approach the resurrection ritual & how it would affect death in this universe.
I was gonna make it so that resurrection does not affect aging, it just heals fatalities and keeps you alive again for a while. So those spouses did not want to be revived once they grew old. But uhh idk >.>
Either way Narinder is not good at consoling Lamb's grieving. He is even critical of Lamb's attachment to followers.
When Lamb's new spouse is around he still experiences jealousy (cuz he's still monogamous) , but at this point in time he's less of an ass about things. Learning to live among mortals and enjoy life, all that stuff.
Oh right you did not ask about any of that - oops-
my head is a mess of specific scenes that aren't properly tied together so sorry i'll figure it out someday maybe.. :,D

Actually Madam BattleMaiden, I have a few(I hope, no promises.) question for YOU, you don’t have to answer BUT!
What are your fanfics that you read and like? Can be any, but also can be Ut AUs related! Or maybe fanfics you suggest??
Do you make playlists for your own fanfic? Your characters? Or May others stories? Others characters??
Do you do a reference sheet for all your characters or is it all in your head? Or perhaps it’s on many different pieces of paper, media, apps?😂 chaotic organization even?

So I basically just read reader inserts because I like the style a lot, unless the fandom is severely lacking in that department then I may branch out. I really like slow burns or soulmate au’s. I haven’t read any in a while really, but when I do it tends to be for the fandom I am currently hyper focused on. For undertale there are a few I really like, and need to go back and re-read.
The good boy by @absurdmageart is currently my favorite thing ever. It is the only fanfic I have ever finished reading only to immediately re-read it all again. I also just love Money and how mage writes him so I’ve been obsessed. Plus I relate a lot to Chip and how he reacts to situations so I found it easy to relate to.
For more recommendations though I would just look at my bookmarks in AO3. I don’t tend to bookmark work unless I’m really into it although not all of them are Undertale and I haven’t read some of them in a while.
I don’t make playlists for my fics, I totally could but I think if I did they would be more character playlists. I absolutely have some songs that I associate with these skeletons and other characters although I’m not sure if these would be any good and I haven’t done it yet. @artsy-potato did make a playlist for the fifth clover aka MC and some others but the fifth clover one is a banger and I listen to it all the time. Here’s that post if you are interested. Maybe one day when I’m bored I’ll make playlists for the boys.
Interesting you mention character Ref sheets because I’m actually making some right now! They have a lot of writing on them because obviously I’ll use them for writing but I have at least tried to draw some skeletons, I’m going to post them when I’m done, Edge’s should be finished this week at least. Before these it has just been like notebooks or random google docs to sprawl info on. Although I think I also still have notes from like three phones ago with chapter ideas in it.

Hi everyone. Just because it interests me, I wanted to make a post about the votes that happen in the proofreading story and how they’ve affected the story so far. I’ve talked about it before, but here is the sheet updated up to today. This post has what was voted on, the results, and the affect on the story the vote had. I will also post a stats page after this! :)

Chapter 2:
How will Virgil respond to the gardener’s questions?

All scenes would lead to Logan and Patton leaving him alone in the room and Thomas finding him. He then would always end up under the bed.
For stars, that was Logan’s when he was younger which his dead dad gave to him. (He liked purple just like Virgil!) He would have told Virgil this and been slightly sad, but not nearly as much. Patton would have done Virgil’s hair as he is in general better at hair. (Logan did Virgil’s hair with the leaves because the piece meant a lot to him and he also had been taught to do his Pa’s hair like that when he was really little.) Logan would have left the room to find some of the things he knew matched it and Patton would have excitedly followed him to suggest a piece he was familiar with. Virgil would have still freaked out about wearing Thomas’s son’s hairpiece when he came in but not nearly as much as he was while wearing his dead husband’s. He would have still wanted it out, but wouldn’t have been quite as desperate and practically ripping his own hair out.
For feathers, it was something Thomas wore, but nothing of any significance. Logan would not have told Virgil who it belonged to. So there would have been no sadness for Logan in the start up. Patton would have done Virgil’s hair as he is good at hair. Patton would have left the room first to find some more things and Logan would have followed him to keep him from bringing too much. Virgil would have no reason to freak out about the hairpiece other than that it was expensive and would have left it in in the aftermath.)
Chapter 20:
So, now we can finally allow our dear assassin friend to leave Logan’s bedroom. He will eventually go to all of these places, but where should we take him on his first day of freedom?

Hello! Thank you so much for reading and following along with this little comic thus far! I hope the introduction has brought some intrigue to our readership, haha.
I have what is, for my standards, pretty lofty goals for Wassenveld, but it's a story I'm determined to see through to the end. I don't know how long it'll take yet, though I'm resigned to it taking upwards of a year at the very least. I'll keep at it, no matter the changes along the way, or the actual quality of anything involved; I want to see this story done and real out in the sun.
Though, currently Wassenveld is on a (hopefully brief) hiatus break, so I can focus on other things going on in my life, as well as sketching and planning the next part. I have gotten some inquiries for references for designs/details from this first part, so I'll try and make some ref sheets for the characters and collect my notes about building the duchy. Those will be posted equally to this platform and to comicfury.

Made a ref sheet for my SSO character, who is now apparently a huldra.
Some notes on her below:
Gender: cis female
Height: 5'7" / 170cm
Weight: unknown
Current Residence: Valedale
Nobody is certain what her real name is, but she answers to "Ren"
Does her best to hide what she is, and tries to blend in with humans
Wears a druid cloak while in Valedale
Wears layered long skirts in other cities or towns (or anywhere a druid cloak would make her look out of place), leading people to believe she is old fashioned
Can ride sidesaddle, especially when wearing aforementioned long skirt
Appears to be afraid of dogs, or at least seems nervous around them
Likes black tea with rock sugar
Ideally wants a "pastel goth" aesthetic, but is limited by having to always hide her back and tail
Does not own a horse and has not found/bonded with a "soul horse"
The Valedale druids sometimes allow her to borrow and ride their black North Swedish horses (if you encounter her riding, she will most likely be on one of those)
While she does like horses and riding, it is unknown if she is able to "soul bond" with a horse, because she does not have a human soul
Has an affinity for cows and is often tasked with watching over the Valedale herd when not helping with stable chores
Dislikes Dark Core, GED, or anyone who disturbs/pollutes the Hollow Woods (or any wilderness on Jorvik, she just seems to have claimed the Hollow Woods as "home" and thus is more protective of it)
Is friends with Pi and Mrs. Holdsworth
Is tentatively allied with the druids, mostly so she can keep tabs on them and so they can keep tabs on her
Some of the druids are aware of what she is and allowed her to join their ranks on the condition that she remain peaceful and not curse anyone unless necessary (GED etc)
The hollow of her back (inside of her torso?) changes color depending on the season: light green/white for spring, verdant green for summer, orange/yellow/red for autumn, desaturated blues and grays for winter, pinks and purples when in Pandoria
Something resembling a blackened rib cage can be glimpsed on the far “wall” of the inside of her torso
Knows the name and location of every Guardian tree on Jorvik, but is not forthcoming with this information

Finally got the ref sheet for this diva done, so here it is X3
There's some extra miscellaneous stuff and definitions/explanations under the cut, pertaining to some of his abilities
Amoscience:
Knowing everything about and sensing feelings of love/lust/other emotions and seeing potential relationships
Anchored deity soul:
He's not necessarily a god in a monster's body, but rather, his soul and/or spiritual essence is divine in origin, which grants him supernatural abilities on an almost god-like level. Because his deity soul is anchored, he'll be able to keep all his new powers, even if someone attempted to manipulate or alter his soul somehow
Mind/emotion reading:
It's unclear whether he's genuinely able to read minds, or if he's simply sensing emotions and connecting them to the context of a situation in order to piece things together
Relationship manipulation:
He can weave a potential love story (for lack of better words) for people, and he can guide them to each other, but he can't force them to be together
Then as far as punishing/cursing people, this is what I've got. I haven't worked anything specific out, but hey, it's a start ^^"

*Split this chapter into two. Will be posting both today. Morning thoughts and Papy has a great idea! Tried avoiding using y/n as much as I could, but had to this chapter.

She would say morning came too quickly, but in all honesty, this was technically her second time waking up that morning. Somehow, in spite of the tireless workout she had been put through the night before, she had woken up at the usual time right before her alarm--that was NOT set cause she turned that off with plans to sleep in today--would have gone off. She’d spared a single, groggy glance at her phone’s clock. The notifications lining the screen not even registering in her mind. No, she’d get her well earned sleep in had been and without further adieu, she had put the phone back down, rolled over, and snuggled back in for another few hours of sleep.
That had been earlier. Now, she blinked awake as light from the mid-morning sun sneaked through the slim openings of the curtains just behind her bed. Blearily, her eyes followed the rays path across her form, her bed, and eventually over the floor where it seemed to highlight her shed clothes along with the open bathroom. Right… she had forgotten to brush her teeth in her haste to sleep. Rolling her tongue and opening and closing her mouth, she winced as she felt her cheek move against the now very cold wet spot on her pillow. Well, at least that second round of sleep was apparently heavy and content.
“Eugth…” Not that it made waking up in your drool anymore pleasant. Trying to sit up resulted in even more groans as her muscles protested. Yup, there were those core muscles that had been oddly silent yesterday acting up today. Her arm she had tried to push up on had not been too much trouble, but her shoulder had twinged and she had gone back down. She had managed to at least roll on her back and away from the drool pool though. Positives. Focus on the positives. For a few moments, she just let herself completely relax into the mattress and pillows, just breathing--in and out, slow and even, again and again until all her tension dispersed.
“They really did me in,” she mumbled as she began to roll her wrists, “But I’ve got too much to get done to be lyin’ around here all day feelin’ miserable.” Too much considering her now very awake mind realized she had forgotten to wrap her hair, but thankfully she had splurged on satin sheets and pillowcases, so it shouldn’t be too bad. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise, she didn’t get her wrap sweaty… “Still gonna wash it.” By now, she had started stretching and working her shoulders with careful, slow rolls and reaches. The more she moves, the more she’ll loosen up and actually be able to function. She just couldn’t overdue it.
As she moved onto her legs, she couldn’t stifle a little moan of discomfort as she lifted one limb at time to carefully draw her knee in towards her stomach before extending again. It took time, but eventually she was able to push herself up into a sitting position. Muscles in her back, abdomen, and surprising what felt like her butt that she hadn’t been aware of protested, but a few more deep breathes calmed them. Seeing her phone laying on the sheets near her, she guessed earlier that morning she hadn’t bothered to put the phone back where it went exactly, but current her was very thankful for her sleepy self’s carelessness.
Picking up the device, she decided to take a moment to rest before continuing her war against her body. Besides, she could remember that she had messages to reply to. Tapping the screen, she input her pattern and tapped on the messages app. The first one she opened was Coffee’s. “Oooh,” she cooed as she looked over the drawing once again with fresh eyes. Last night, she remembered thinking the hairstyle was cute, but now she could see the little details he included, like his choice of including a custom undercut design. Could her barber achieve that? She waited a moment to see if he’d answer, but no little dots popped up so she guessed he was possibly still sleeping or he was busy. Most likely the former. Leaving that conversation, she sent a quick message to her barber asking how complicated a design he would be willing to do on an undercut. She hadn’t expected an answer, but no sooner had she went to click the back button, his answer popped up. His answer surmised that he had done more complicated pieces, but it all depends on the design. “Makes sense…” she mumbled before forwarding the doodle to him. It took him a moment longer to reply this time, but his answer had her beaming: “Sure, just get a better reference. Bigger too.”

She included some pleading and heart emojis for good measure, even though she was sure he wouldn’t mind one bit. Moving on, she opened up a certain someone’s convo, eager to see how he reacted to her last text. A little laugh bubbled past her smile as she saw his reply, full of exclamation marks and a little pause between two of the replies.

(11:40 PM) Papaya: !!!!!!!
Papaya: TOUCHE! ALTHOUGH I HAD TO GOOGLE WHAT YOU HAD MEANT

Her amusement at how Papyrus could continue a conversation with no one there was overshadowed by the warmth the last text brought. It was such a simple little thing. It’s not like he had even called her a pet name, but it still had her flushing and turning her face away from the phone like that would somehow ease the heat. Maybe it was because she could see the timestamp and knew he had taken the time to pick up the phone again after setting it down for a while just to send that message. Was it narcissistic to think she was his last thought before he fell asleep? “It’s too early to be this flustered!” she whined, the fingers of her free hand playing with ends of one of her braids, “All over a text that might not have any deeper meaning…”
After her little grumble, she did her best to ignore the sting the words brought. One more deep breath, she turned back to her phone and the texts, allowing a small smile. There was no sense in making herself miserable. It was still a dear friend thinking of her after all.

Flooffie: Morning Papi! Hope you had sweet dreams as well
Before she could start her next message, she saw those little dots pop up and chuckled. Of Course he was up already.
Papaya: GOOD MORNING!
Papaya: I DO NOT REMEMBER MY DREAMS, BUT I’M SURE THEY WERE GREAT!
Flooffie: Just like you, eh?
Papaya: OFCOURSE!
Papaya: UM… HOW ARE YOU FEELING THIS MORNING?
Papaya: NOT TOO SORE I HOPE
She snorted at that before replying.
Floofie: Like I got hit by a 18 wheeler in the fast lane and somehow survived to regret it.
Papaya: ….
Papaya: APOLOGIES
Papaya: BUT ARE YOU COMPARING YOUR PAIN TO GETTING HIT BY A SEMI?!
She could just feel his panic and knew he would start fretting through the text. She felt just a little guilty laughing at his reaction. Thankfully, it wasn’t too difficult to calm him down and assure him she was simply exaggerating. No, he didn’t need to take her to the hospital. No, he had not broken her. At Least as far as she knew he hadn’t.
Throughout, she had slowly worked her way to the edge of the bed and now sat with her legs hanging off. In between texts with Papyrus, he opened a few of the others. One was Edge checking in with a reminder that she shouldn’t over exert herself. She went to send a little thumbs up, but paused and instead juggled between two responses. Which would mess with him more? Biting her bottom lip, she finally settled on one and quickly sent it: “Yes, Daddy~”. Knowing Edge, he was up, but wouldn’t look at the message until he had a moment, so she closed the convo. She could see the damage later.
More puns and jokes which she graced with appropriate responses: groans at the especially bad ones and chuckles at the ones that were actually clever. She of course made her approval known with quick little texts and gifs; the bad ones received the same treatment. None of it was mean and to tell the truth, it only fanned the flames for these gremlins as she had learned. They seemed determined to dig up the worst puns they could manage. By the time, she finished replying, she had made it to the bathroom and was finally taking care of her dental hygiene.
Her phone now dinged instead of buzzing with each new text. Most of which were from Papyrus she assumed. Toothbrush in her mouth, she picked up her phone and opened the texting app again as she resumed brushing with her other hand. She had been correct. A line of texts from her friend popped up on the screen and they ranged from bringing up his question about idioms from last night to checking in that she was actually taking the time to rest. She thanked the stars that her phone wasn’t on the larger side as it allowed her to hold and type with one hand.
Flooffie: Decided to make today wash day since people are INSISTING I rest. Was due for one anyway.
Papaya: WASH DAY? YOU HAVE A DAY DEDICATED TO WASHING?
Papaya: I THOUGHT HUMANS PRUNE IF THEY ARE IN WATER TOO LONG?
She let him get out all his ponderings and ramblings, which took a good minute, before she finally jumped in. Although she’d love to convince him it was a secret, sacred holiday and ritual that humans have to partake in a few days a year for… reasons, she fought down her inner prankster and cursed Cash for his influence on her.
Flooffie: It’s nothing elaborate… kinda?
Flooffie: It’s just that people like me tend to have a lot of hair and it takes time to properly care for it.
Flooffie: So, we make a day of it. Chill and relax, pamper ourselves, etc
She was a bit surprised he hadn’t replied immediately and had actually finished with her dental routine by the time he finally texted back.
Papaya: SO IT IS A DAY DEDICATED TO YOUR HAIR?!
Oh, she hadn’t seen this much enthusiasm from him for her hair in a good bit. As his texts came through, she felt touched he wanted to learn more and she was happy to inform him, best she could over text anyway. There was another long pause in between his text. Just long enough for her to reach for her shower handle as she decided to finally take a shower and get started on her day. Her phone dinged and Papyrus changed all her plans.
Papaya: WHY DON’T YOU HAVE YOUR WASH DAY AT OUR HOUSE?!!

Man, I forgot to post 90% of my art here for the past while. I’m gonna do an art dump in this post under the cut. Enjoy the bonk emoji if you don’t click the read more, and man am I dumb and forgetful lmao.

[04/14/21] - This isn’t really new art, but I started to work on giving the four OCs of mine without a full name full names... I have not finished this bit, though. So Hunter and Akira have full names, and Warlock and Assassin only have temporary names. This may end up like Seven where I put in their names as a temporary name (7th OC I’d made at that time) and it just kind of... sticks. Lmao.
[04/20/21] - Alone on a Friday Night? God, you’re pathetic. I didn’t colour this one because it was a half-attempt at a meme image I still like it, though, so I might end up colouring it. It’s gonna appear again whenever I do my “unfinished drawings art dump” at some point probably in... June? I know I said I’d post them last month but forget it, lmao, it’ll happen eventually.
[04/20/21] - A D&D Map! This was to help me visualize the layout of my D&D character’s ship he used to be on. Also for my DM if they ever put us aboard the ship. The little fella in the corner is just there to vibe. This map is made of free to use assets from This Website, so while I’m gonna say DONT USE MY MAP WITHOUT PERMISSION, feel free to make your own!
[04/26/21] - Lesbian Day of Visibility drawing of yours truly, the disapointment! That’s... really all I have to say about this, honestly. It was just for that one day and that was it, lmao. I mean, I accidentally lined it in dark pink, so.. .That’s different, I guess?
[04/30/21] - Do Astral Seas dream of Ensorcled Sheep? Does the City know what Sheepleb is going to do? What crimes he may commit? Who knows! This was fan art of Critical Role ep. 134 if I remember correctly, right at the end when they jumped into the portal into the astral sea and Caleb was a sheep. Using my knowledge of the German language, I knew the word for “shit”, and had to use it.
[05/07/21] - This was already posted, but it’s going in here to dilinuate that it was drawn at this point. Also, aside from playing Miitopia, this is all I have to show for myself until the 12th.
[05/12/21] - Hex Maniac Ender challenges you to a Pokemon Battle! WIll you win against my team? My sis, who loves fairy types, pointed out to me that there’s a fairy girl and hex maniac duo, so I’d be the hex maniac. I spent... Over a week drawing this, because I basically had to redraw the Hex Maniac art from scratch in a higher quality size, and then draw myself over it. So... You can excuse the low-effort background for once. It was basically this, and then my birthday doodle from May 1st to May 12th, and then I took a break to draw up several D&D characters quickly for fullbody references.
[05/12/21] - Remember this art I made several months ago? I finally added my other two completed characters! I have three more named but without character sheet D&D characters, so for now this is just Kara, Axel, Golden Shadow, Kau, Cecillia, and Miri. Kress, Tempest, and Melia will have to wait until I make character sheets for them to be posted, and... For when I probably make more D&D characters. I have at least 9 additional, incomplete character ideas floating around, so... I’m never gonna be done this art, huh?
[05/12/21] - Speaking of D&D characters, did you know I’ve been making them as Miis in Miitopia? So here is their finished full body art next to their Miitopia self! Some of them look a little off (Golden Shadow, Cecillia) because of limitations of the editor and shading issues, some of them look a little off (Kau, Kress) because this is a human face canvas that I’m using to make a non-human face, and some of them (Melia, Axel) look REALLY GOOD. Common traits among my D&D characters include green eyes and tall. You wanna know why? Because I am tall and... despite having red eyes, I do have green eyes under the coloured contacts.
[05/15/21] - More D&D stuff! This is based around my D&D group’s current Rime of the Frostmaiden campaign where our Goliath Fighter, Nioh, ends up getting a little bit of hate for being cocky, and our little (well over 6′) hater, Axel, is just a man full of irritation. These are the tallest two characters of the group at the moment. Someone send help. Nioh belongs to one of the other D&D players, Axel (and his stupid additude) belongs to me.
[05/15/21] - This is what me playing D&D feels like. Me, the demon entity trapped inside the head of my D&D character, yelling at them to do things while the dice decide that they’re gonna get bopped a hundred times by a yeti and somehow still survive. This is also a reference to our first or second game where I just ran off like sixty feet to one side of the battle map to fight a Crag Cat and was just in Gay Baby Jail until like two turns later when I could run back to the others. I also drew him not in his winter gear even though this is a bit from when we were atop Kelvin’s Carin in an icy cave, so maybe that’s why he’s at low HP.
[05/15/21] - Melia has good gardening tips, such as Use A Mars Mii Trap To Hide A Body Because They Are Endangered And It Is Illegal To Dig Them Up. I love her a lot, because she’s the youngest of four, all four sisters based around the different seasons. She’s based around Autumn, so she’s all orange and yellow and brown and is so cute. Also she’s Chaotic Neutral, as if she didn’t need to be mildly more threatening.
[05/15/21] - Cecillia is my Tiefling gal who lived in a very northern town plagued by cold weather and snow, and Axel is my Pirate guy who spent most of his time further south on the high seas and warmer weather. So, naturally... I’ll use the guy more acclimatized to the hotter weather in the campaign where we spend 99% of it in the snow. She uses Tarot Cards as her spell focus, and I decided to sneak my other D&D characters onto her Tarot cards so naturally, Axel is The Hanged Man, given his backstory and personality. She’s a very cheerful and friendly Tiefling Necromancer of the Hexblade, so she’d for sure take care of those around her to ensure their success. Especially if they’re on her Tarot Cards, and their spirit comes to her aid when she asks for them.
[05/16/21] - Content Warning; Ryma thinks too much into local stupid moron’s lack of knowing how to answer a question and thinks too much into the reputation of Pirates. Poor Axel, man doesn’t know how to socialize with people who aren’t pirates and is used to being hostile towards everyone, so when he’s asked a question that his answer to is “uhh... no?”, he panics and ends up making a mistake that leads him to think that Ryma can read his mind. Ryma belongs to another of the D&D players. I guess me drawing all those spicy Cow Costumed OCs earlier just brought me to drawing Axel being a bottom in this, huh?
[05/16/21] - It’s Mermay, which means more OC drawings! Here’s Theo after drinking some potion that turned him into a mermaid, and Seven, tiredly, collecting his stupid boyfriend so that Lailah can fix the fact he’s turned into a mermaid. Mer!Theo is based around his sword’s colours of indigo-purple with red accents, which looks a little weird since Theo is the Blue one of the group, but... it looks cool, I guess. Seven’s just the same outfit as always, just no gloves this time.

And that’s it for the art dump! This was, frankly, MASSIVE. I’ll try and remember to upload both on Twitter and Tumblr at the same time, but... Ah... I have been drawing a fair bit. Just mostly sketches and linework that I haven’t finished and may not actually finish. If they’re not completed, I’ll dump them all into something at the end of the month or whatever. Maybe you’ll get the old sketch of the Axel face in panel 3 because in the sketch phase it was an Ahegao face, in the clean sketch it was a lip bite, and in the linework and final it’s just horny face. lmao.
Top ten things I have to remember for drawing: AXEL HAS A SCAR AND GREEN EYES. I remember his eye colour now, but if you look at his fullbody ref, he’s got brown eyes. And, naturally, I keep forgetting to put in his scar. He has more, but most of them are located in areas covered by his clothes. So if I ever draw him shirtless I guess I’ll have to place them somewhere.
Also maybe finish the reference sheets I have left to finish so I can post more of them, since I have two “Pets” completed (Roko and Mona’s nameless pet), but I have to do up Hunter, Warlock, Assassin, Akira, Myuut, and Stella. I’m betting when I do complete two more, it’ll be Hunter and Akira. Those two are the most fun to draw, at least.

FAQ
Mobile friendly! :D Just some trends I noticed in my ask box, I figured I could sum up a few things and give some general info! This post will be updated occasionally as new info is needed!
What do you draw with/on?
I have two set-ups :3 I primarily use my iPad Pro (the newer model, 2018 I think) and the app Procreate, especially because it’s surprisingly powerful for being a mobile program! But if I need to work on really big canvases (body pillows, large format prints etc.) I have at home an HP desktop with a Huion KAMVAS 22 drawing monitor and Clip Studio Paint & Paint Tool SAI. The huion ran me about 900$ but there are smaller versions that are much more cost effective :D and it performs as well if not better that the cintiq I had prior! Also! Both Clip and SAI are only 50$ but if you catch Clip on sale it’s only 25$!!
How are you so good at art???
Aw geez I’m not good at answering this ;w; I’m going to preface this by saying the ‘goodness’ of art is arbitrary and often formed from the western ideal that good art is how well you can capture reality. This isn’t inherently true, in my eyes art is good when it establishes a connection between the artist and the viewer, everyone has different tastes than the next person so different art will resonate with them while with others it won’t.
That said I did spend all my life drawing, it was fun for me to be able to appreciate things I liked by drawing them! I landed in art school and spent 6 years getting my bachelor’s degree in illustration, however I’ll say that the only thing beneficial I got out of it were the figure drawing classes and even then, drawing a figure over and over means nothing without understanding the anatomy underneath it |D (I recommend this book even for 2-D artists because it covers the topic so well) Of course this only applies if your art is representative in some way, cartoons are even improved by a general understanding of anatomy!
In short just keep learning! You’ll never stop! You will improve! You Have No Choice :)))

I didn’t spend 6 years and 60,000$ on art school to hear that my cheaply priced skilled labor is too expensive. Any freelance artist with my level of experience charges a day rate of at least 250$ multiplied by as many days as it takes them to complete the art. Please do us both a favor and instead of complaining an artist’s prices are high, maybe appreciate their work in other ways, leave them a tip or reblog their work. It goes much farther AND we will appreciate it very much!!
How come it takes you so long to reply?/ Why are you so sporadically active?
As an adult, currently employed, I tend to have rather busy days during the week. It really depends on how much a toll work takes whether I have the energy to respond to things qwq And like... I don’t like to bring it up much, but unfortunately I have contracted a cocktail of mental illness that effects my ability to interact with others. I promise I respond as soon as I am mentally able, and I am always appreciate the patience that everyone extends me on account of this ;;;;w;;;;
Also I’m in the mysterious and feared ‘Arizona’ Time zone (we don’t do daylight savings time so we just end up bouncing back and forth between Pacific and Mountain time lmao) so depending on the time of year that can probably effect when you see me online |DD

In a word; kinda |D I tried to have an Open/Closed system but people would send them regardless. I don’t mind! alright first up, HOSHIKO, they’re my genderfluid bisexual naruto oc who’s op. they’re basically the character i can have fun with because they’re a naruto oc. i love them, and i’m writing a fic for them (another (un)lucky seven on ao3 and FFN).
ADAS’ZOVOS is one of my star wars ocs, nb aroace information dealer. they deal with the darker parts of the star wars universe. they got themselves out of slavery and now help others get out as well as supplying info to bounty hunters.
ASHLA is another of my star wars ocs, she commonly deals info with adas’zovos. she’s a bisexual jedi who’s secretly married to jango fett. she had a rough past, but she’s living a good life now (excluding order 66 lmao).
PROTECTOR is the least concrete character right now. i’m planning on making a comic for her, but i’m still deciding a lot of her backstory right now so her name is just her role in her universe for now.
i’ve drawn ref sheets for AKIO before but i’m not sure if i posted them or not. akio is my bnha oc, they’re a nb bisexual. they’re a hero course student at UA, and their quirk is supernova, which makes their body entirely out of light which they can manipulate.
WREN is the only khr oc and i’m currently writing a fic for him (commiseration for a cloud on ao3 and FFN) he’s in the arcobaleno generation, but not an arcobaleno. he’s a gay transman who just want’s to take over his mother’s bakery and doesn’t really want anything to do with the mafia.

Patrick James Ryan is a native of Columbus, Ohio and the popular author of the diverse short story collection, “Blood Verse,” the best-selling novel at Black Bed Sheet Books ~ “The Night It Got Out” and his most recent release, “The Maggots Underneath The Porch.” Patrick has appeared in numerous radio interviews and blogs and is a recognized as a popular new voice in the horror/suspense/thriller genre. Patrick and his wife, Molly enjoy their three children ~ Colleen, Michael and Patrick, Jr. An avid sports and music fan, Patrick enjoys Football, Basketball, Baseball, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and most hard rock. 1. How old were you when you first wrote your first story?
I was 24 years old when I first wrote “Road Kill,” one of the short stories in my collection titled ~ BLOOD VERSE. We then had three children and writing took a major step to the back burner in life, with sports and activities taking precedence as we lived somewhat vicariously through the kids. It was resurrected again back in 2007 when I lost my father and I began to write again in earnest.
2. How many books have you written?
I have three published works at present: BLOOD VERSE, THE NIGHT IT GOT OUT, & THE MAGGOTS UNDERNEATH THE PORCH. A second short story collection will come out in 2018, and I am working on four books at present.
3. Anything you won’t write about?
I struggle at times writing sex, especially if it is graphic and gratuitous. While I am certainly not a prude, I’d much rather write a suspenseful scene that grips and shocks the reader, making them want to flip the pages to see what happens next!
4. Tell me about you. Age (if you don’t mind answering), married, kids, do you have another job etc…
I don’t mind. I am forty-six and try very hard to keep myself in shape. I am married and we have three wonderful children. I work in the Financial Services industry by day as my primary income, hoping to make it big in the publishing/screenwriting/movie industry a-la John Grisham and others who have transitioned successfully from their day jobs to full-time writing.
5. What’s your favorite book you have written?
I have received the most commercial success and accolades over THE NIGHT IT GOT OUT, but it was the short story & poem collection, BLOOD VERSE that first caught the eye of a publishing house and opened the opportunities I have now. I wrote that collection with tremendous drive and passion, and I would love to think readers view the stories not only as thrilling, but very original.
6. Who or what inspired you to write?
My Father was a huge believer in my writing, and I am often driven to succeed in the industry as a tribute to him! I also have a former English Professor who loves my writing and is now committed to assisting with editing, a highly valued commodity in this business as we make our own worst proof readers as writers! I have also been highly inspired by the works of Stephen King, John D. MacDonald, Jack Ketchum, Brian Keene, Lee Child, John Grisham, and many other wonderful authors.
7. What do you like to do for fun?
I have been in martial arts since I was a kid and hold a Second Degree Black Belt in a 5 Animal System of Kung Fu. I am a HUGE Bruce Lee fan! I obviously love to read, listen to Rock music, love College Football and spending fun time with the family!
8. Any traditions you do when you finish a book?
None at present, but I love the idea. It makes me think of the fictitious character in Stephen King’s book, MISERY, who always smoked a cigar upon completion of a book!
9. Where do you write? Quiet or music?
We have a small little spare bedroom where I’ve got the computer set up along with tons of family and inspirational pictures. I BLAST rock music when I write. Bands from the Beatles to Led Zeppelin to Kansas/Journey/Foreigner/Styx/Motley Crue to Guns n Roses, and at times even some light rock.
10. Anything you would change about your writing?
Probably more character development in THE NIGHT IT GOT OUT and having the self-awareness of a great editor much earlier in my career.
11. What is your dream? Famous writer?
Of course the standard dream of any author would be: Best selling author with books being a conduit to the Silver Screen! But, it goes deeper than that ~ the most rewarding thing for me is when I am told a person has enjoyed reading a story. It is very rewarding to know that you created something that impacted someone and allowed them to have a few hours out of their life that they enjoyed from your contribution as a writer. Income is good and no one works for free, but you cannot put a monetary amount on the ability to please and provide enjoyment to another human being!
12. Where do you live?
I am in Columbus, Ohio.
13. Pets?
Other than the kids (LOL!), yes we have two cats ~ Daisy and Darby. Daisy is a Tortie while Darby is a grey Tiger. Darby follows me around incessantly, everywhere as if I am her mother. She cries for attention for me. Licks my arms and always has to be by my side! She greatly diminishes my macho martial art image! LOL!
14. What’s your favorite thing about writing?
Like athletics, when I am really cruising with ideas and words it is like when athletes say they are “in the zone.” The autonomy and opportunity to be creative and craft something from scratch is awesome!
15. What is coming next for you?
In addition to the next short story collection coming out this year, I am currently working on four more books. One is a martial arts fiction thriller. The second is a homicide detective thriller geared for a huge mainstream audience. The third is the first in a series of novels about a warrior who battles evil things, and last but not least in response to huge fan demand, I am going to write a sequel to THE NIGHT IT GOT OUT.
16. Where do you get your ideas?
Anywhere and everywhere! Driving in the car sometimes on business. Watching a TV commercial or show. Here is an example: One night I was watching THE EXORCIST on cable and commercial after commercial was a relentless stream of erectile dysfunction medication ads. I got so sick and tired of watching them. I mean, seriously, if you took one of those pills why would you and your special person be in separate tubs if you’re ready to get it on? LOL! Anyway, it hit me to write the story, LITTLE SWIMMERS in BLOOD VERSE. If I say any more, I will spoil the story, but once you have read it, you will remember the answer to this question and probably laugh!
Any advice for new writers?
For anyone seeking to be a writer, I would offer this advice: Write with passion. Believe in yourself. Be committed to working hard. Don’t pay attention to naysayers and harsh critics. However, do listen to sound advice as we all have blind sides and sometimes constructive criticism can be a great learning tool to help you continue to hone your craft. I personally believe school is never out in this industry, and I am always open to input, feedback, and opinions from both readers and fellow authors.
