why fiction DOES affect reality - a really bad rant by a bored anti radqueer

so radqueers and proshippers keep saying this and i need to state why its not true

im using proship as a catch all term, so it includes darkshipping proshipping comshipping etc

first of all, influence. we can experience emotions in reality due to fiction, and fiction can change our opinions. for example, spreading awareness in the form of fiction. that affects reality!!! i constantly think of "ohhh these people on the internet are awful" "ohhh im gonna say this if someone on the internet says this to me" "ohhh i hate that piece of media" now, is the internet fiction? is media fiction? yes! do those thoughts affect reality? yes!

now also, really just about proshippers here. shipping illegal ships, especially publicly, normalizes those dynamics. its not normal for an adult to love a child. its not normal for someone to hurt the person theyre in love with. proshipping normalizes these things.

using proshipping as a coping mechanism isnt healthy whatsoever, especially if youre sharing it online. putting pedophila, s/a, etc in a positive light isnt really good at all. to put a character in that situation, but keeping it as in "i just want a character to relate to, im not putting this in a positive light whatsoever" id say is okay.

to the proshippers that proship for fun, and to the radqueers, why. literally what the fuck please actually explain to me why you think thats okay

Soo I've been thinking about how I'm gonna do the redemption round stuff and I'm honestly not too sure, so in true poll moderator style I will. Host a poll. Before you vote, please know that I've already decided that these polls will have randomized matchings!

And also to outline some quick pros and cons: having MORE characters per poll will be faster, and cause less delay with the main poll. However, having LESS characters per poll will create polls that are likely to be less split, and give more of a chance for a character to make a comeback, as each round would have less eliminations.

Contrary to the belief of those few who research the paranormal, it is possible to for a ghost to create another without the death of the living or one that forms naturally from the other side.

What they would call reproduction.

A ghost could, if they were wanted to, split a part off of themselves to create another ghost. However, it is a rare thing, for ghosts do not usually wish for children, and one of the factors contributing to said creation is the intense desire for one.

To create 'life', they have to have an intense desire to do so, a base (which is usually a piece of themselves) and a few other factors.

It isn't exactly common knowledge, but it isn't rare knowledge either.

So, it certainly came as a surprise when the Sarcophagus of Forever Sleep was opened by a group of humans who managed to both steal the Sarcophagus and retreat from the zone before it was realized, that not one stepped out.

But two.

It was a complete and utter accident, if it were to be honest. The portal, unfinished as it was yet turned on wasn't the most stable thing, and an unstable portal leaves a lot to be desired, not to mention how dangerous it could potentially be.

Again, it'll repeat.

It was a complete accident. How the boy just so happened to be randomly shoved anywhere inside of itself due to the inability to reestablish the portal to the living world.

And the boy just so happened to be shoved directly into the place containing it's first, current, and only king.

Pariah Dark.

Pariah Dark's conscious may have been inactive, but his subconscious wasn't. So, when he felt another presence that should not be with him inside of his prison.

You could say he was curious.

So, he poked at the mind curiously, the being's own subconscious sluggish and seemingly, pained. The boy (which he found out after a few pokes here and there) was highly unstable, going against the natural order of being both living and dead.

Now wasn't that interesting?

This was the first of his kind that the king had ever laid 'eyes' upon, and in his eternal prison, no less?

Well, it would be a shame to let something such as this, slip between his fingers so easily, would it not?

So, he let the child feed off of him, he certainly had more than enough ectoplasm to spare if he were to be honest, and yes, he is tooting his own horn. The boy, unstable as he was, would most certainly be molded somewhat by feeding off of his ectoplasm, enough so that others could even mistake the boy's own signature for his own for a few moments.

Would that be such a bad thing, however?

He always wondered how having an heir would be like.

Back at it again with the death seeking creator bullshit dhskdhfk This is just gonna be various rambles about different scenarios that I think would happen

One for instance is that once the acolytes realize the mental state of the creator they'll probably keep a healer by them at all times, and possibly a shielder too. Just so there is no way for the creator to die again. But I feel like they still would figure out a way to die just so the cycle can continue.

One thing I will mention is this would be an au that has teyvat trying to protect creator during the hunt. Probably getting more and more dangerous (like the monsters getting stronger is what I mean) as each death happens. And it just stays that way even after the creator gets recognized because teyvat is so pissed that the creator got mentally broken to this extent.

Actually also now thinking about it I wonder how the more protective ones (like the archons, adepti, and other characters with a more protective personality) would be reacting once the creator is recognized. Because I feel like they would just be desperate for forgiveness and some might be constantly begging, which I very much think would fuck up creator's mental state even more considering they're in denial over the fact they didn't deserve to die.

Also speaking of the creator, just for more angst, I believe that their form is constantly covered is scars. But like not nasty scars, if I were to draw them I would want to make it like artistic scars. What I mean by that is that when they get reborn/reawaken the scars turn into these beautiful patterns that litter their skin. It wouldn't be to romanticize the scars and abuse but to show how teyvat will still call them beautiful even with the scars. Since the creator is supposed to be the most beautiful thing in the world for everything in teyvet. Even though the creator wouldn't be able to see themselves as beautiful in the state their in until they heal from the their trauma.
