Leo being put into a situation where there is absolutely no fighting, just verbal manipulation and perception games, would be amazing to witness. We see a lot in the series how good he is at subterfuge and how he uses his perception to manipulate to great effect, so it’d be so cool to really see it put to the test even more.
Manipulation is one of the most effective tactical strategies of all time, so just imagine Leo putting this skillset of his to the full test. Imagine the boys slowly get up to busting bigger and more powerful criminals, including those with networks of crime under their belt, and a simple fight isn’t enough to take them down. For criminals like this, Leo’s skills in subterfuge would be deadly.

i cannot get over nimona’s face in this scene - the absolutely heartbroken expression she has because she knows what it’s like for someone you love to point their sword at you

i love it when a tv show has lows that are so low you're so ashamed to ever show it to anyone ever but then highs that melt your brain a bit, like, "good fucking god, this is genuinely such an astounding piece of craftmanship... my perception of the medium, and perhaps of myself, has been challenged/changed in 40 minutes" but you cant even express that to ppl without feeling like youre fucking deranged bc my god the lows .....

annabeth's line where she's almost reassuring herself that she was loved. that she was treated like the gift athena intended her to be for the first few years of her life.. could potentially indicate that she is being a bit of an unreliable narrator where her father is concerned.
blaming it all on the step mom is giving serious evil stepmother vibes that just.. don't add up entirely. if freddy truly treated annabeth 'like a gift,' then he shouldn't have been able to be swayed so easily by this new family to forget about her.. but honestly i can see little annabeth looking at cinderella, or stories like it, and projecting her own story onto them. once she started realizing she wasn't being treated well, she needed someone to blame. and she wasn't going to blame the dad she loved.

I've been watching the adventures of tintin 1991 with my sister and were watching the blue lotus part 2 and when Chang showed up I literally sat up in my chair and pointed at the screen like he was a famous actor. He has entered my brain forever, and I have you to thank for it.
for a character that popped up for only two adventures he left quite an impact on me too. I can imagine he'd make quite an impression when staying over in Belgium and making some appearances in the paper!
my sister was studying the opium trade and its links with colonialism so we were watching the 1991 cartoon episodes for The Blue Lotus and The Crab with the Golden Claws. I remember a) cringing every time Mitsuhirato appeared b) cringing at the voice they decided to give Chang and c) my sister turning around and looking at me every time a Chinese Musical Sting™ would play (we're Chinese)
