ravenclaw head cannons:
were called "gifted" as kids but now everyone's caught up and they're stuck with unnecessarily high standards because everyone still thinks they're "smarter"
know multiple languages, but none of them fully
they pull the most obscure facts out of NOWHERe, and that's usually how they attempt breaking an awkward silence (it often gets more awkward)
they love hoarding stationary to never use and end up with that One Trusty Pen
spend hours organizing all their tests, due dates, etc., but it's all gone to waste by the end of the year and their organization is bothering the Slytherins for the due dates
all the houses hold a prank competition every year and it's always a Ravenclaw / Slytherin duo that wins. the teachers still don't know what hit them.
the biggest procrastinators
remember the most random complicated facts and formulas but forget the word "fingernails"
on tests,, either speeds through the easy questions and gets them all wrong but cracks the bonus question with twelve seconds to spare
OR answers everything right but leaves the bonus incomplete after staring at it and going through the 5 stages of grief in 2 minutes. they take up the test with a Slytherin after who looks at them and reveals the answer was super easy
the actual Ravenclaw motto is "caffeine will solve anything"

I spent a chunk of yesterday making a bunch of these trope memes for atypical's shows and when I tell you I BLANKED on how to describe a show I spent the better part of my twenties writing...
I'm really curious, TBS listeners, what tropes/identifiers/hooks would you use to get someone to listen to the show?

Currently in love with the relationship between the Grey Wardens and being doomed by the narrative, especially with how the HOF subverts that relationship so here's a 3am rant about it. Enjoy!
The wardens are ghosts. They are born by letting go of everything you had before and drinking poison to bind your fate to the darkspawn and promise that your life and perhaps more importantly, your death belongs to them. The whole joining is a terrifying experience, you're drinking the blood of monsters and seeing a corrupt god in your mind and waking up to see those who died around you and being told you'll meet the same fate soon enough you've just been given more time to get there because to sacrifice, to die is a warden's purpose. Even if you survive becoming a warden, your best case scenario is sacrificing yourself to end the blight but it's far more likely you'll die fighting darkspawn or even more likely lose your mind and have to go to the deep roads to be lost and have your death be your last act of defiance in the face of this overwhelming wave of evil waiting to rise again. The best thing that can happen to a warden is to die in a meaningful way because you gave away your life the moment you drank that blood. All you are now is a soldier waiting to die in war and hopefully take the enemy down with you. It is tragic and haunting and noble and so full of grief. Grief for the live you gave behind and for the one you'll never have. Every warden spends every day of their life hoping not for a future or any life for themselves but simply to make their death mean something which is an incredibly interesting mental state and I could go on about how that effects individuals and messes with their values so that corruption is rife but what started this whole thing is Fereldan.
A wonderful post by @sapphim (which I don't know how to cite but I wanna give credit so if there's a way please tell me) discussed how beneficial it was for the wardens that the fifth blight occured in Fereldan and how much they lost by it being solved so soon. To put it simply, they wanted to sacrifice Fereldan as a lost cause and use it as an example of why they wardens shouldn't be neglected. They wanted it to be known of how much of a sacrifice they make an how important their duty by letting the country of Fereldan be an example of what happens when no one is there to do it and that the narrative has doomed everyone, that the world's crimes will be paid for unless someone is willing to be selfless and bear the burden to give the world another chance. Andraste would have been a great warden I'm sure. In the eyes of the warden, Fereldan is tainted just like their blood, it is promised to the darkspawn just like they are, willingly or not it bears the duty that all wardens do and must make the sacrifice they do too. For the greater good. To stop the darkspawn. It's better you having a death that matters than a life that lasts. This is the psychology of the wardens and they are applying those same beliefs to all of Fereldan. Why must they be the only ones doomed by the narrative? There is no surviving this story and there is saving the world there is only killing the darkspawn before it kills you. Thedas is at war with the archdemons and until they're all dead, there is no peace, there is only preparing for the next battle. There is no building a life, no building a country, there is nothing to protect because it is all doomed.
The way duty and sacrifice and the promise of the Grey Wardens must alter their values and perspective on life is fascinating and there is so much to explore here but what's important for this post is that the foundation of their entire order is that they are already dead.
This then brings us to the HOF and cheating death. Duncan is like the grim reaper in Origins the way he comes and snatches your soul at the end of each origin which I honestly love and it ties in so well to the idea that wardens are ghosts given you die in every other version of the story without him but that's the story of all wardens. They all die a symbolic death at the joining so that's okay but then Ostogar happens. Flemeth happens. You should have died. Fereldan should have been lost. Remember, the duty of the wardens is dying not surviving but you did survive, snatched away by a god. Every other warden has died thinking their paying the price for an absent god yet this goddess not only favours you, she changed fate for you. Every other warden throughout history has paid the price but not you. Not Fereldan. You get to cheat the fate while it dooms everyone else. Can you imagine how that must have felt for the other wardens? How much they must hate the hero for stealing the martyr Fereldan was set to be and making all their losses naught but a tragedy when it could have been so much more? Not only did you escape your own death but you stole the value of theirs. You survived which goes against everything the wardens are made for.
Going even further than that, you have the dark ritual where you can actively choose to cheat death again. When every other warden has had to give their life, had to sacrifice and lose and grieve and poison their humanity as they did their bodies, you get to escape it all. Wardens have struggled for decades to have a foothold in Fereldan but you'll go so far as to choose their ruler for them without any consultation. You have been a warden less than a year, ended a battle that they prepared for over hundreds of years and sacrificed more hundreds of years fighting in the past and not only have you defied everything they defined themselves by, you have made them look like fools and decided their fate for them. You have stolen the meaning of the death of every warden, you have stolen their martyrs and the justifications for their actions and by keeping your own life and humanity, by resisting their poison you have made them all look like monsters.
The hero was doomed by the narrative as all wardens are but they rewrote fate, they stole their life back so many times and by surviving, they created a whole new narrative that ruined everything the wardens were built upon. The wardens were made to be ghosts, not heroes. They're meant to die and be remembered nobly so they can be redeemed for they had to do to get there but not you hero. You get to shame us all, don't you?

My mom is already super cool but growing up as a child of an artist/art teacher, like, really shaped me as a person. No matter your skill level your creations matter and are so so important and I'm just so fucking proud of you. And I mean fucking ALL of you.
I'm not an artist myself (at least drawing-wise. I enjoy pottery and music and writing but not much for the "I'm holding some sort of stick (pen, paintbrush, digital stylus, etc. ) and making something with it haha)
But since my mom was an artist, and I just CONSTANTLY grew up around creators. It just, idk makes you APPRECIATE things you know? My mom was a wildlife artist (she's won a couple competitions, "State Trout Stamp" is one of them.) and I remember as a little girl seeing her make her prints and how LONG they took her. And even with her WINNING some and having great paintings, she'll still have the "Oh, I hate that one >:( " which ofc, there's an "artist's eye" but it kind of makes me laugh as literally no matter your skill level, EVERY creator has a "Ew." project.
Not great lighting sorry, but these are what she's made. (Yes, there's a thermometer on the buck. That's one that a lot of people like but she doesn't so much haha. the bottom middle is the one that won.)
And since she was a teacher by the time I came around (doing her prints on the side) I grew up wandering the high school halls as a little girl and watching and playing with her students who were artists themselves.
I remember seeing how LONG it took them. Some would get frustrated with a certain thing they were struggling with like hands or making sure their eyes were right. Breaking pencils or throwing away projects. Some would start to cry and then they became a "sibling" for a moment as "mom instincts" would take over my mom and she'd just sit with them. Sometimes if I happened to be playing around in the classroom and they were there after school ended (or for "Art Club") after getting frustrated they would come to play with me on the floor with those drawing manikins and other toys that were in the classroom. (My mom was essentially a "Ms. Frizzle" type of teacher and had LOTS of toys in her class room. From Barbies to potato heads as "they're good inspiration!". She's still like that and even kind of looks like Ms. Frizzle too!) A lot of these students were my FRIENDS (more like a bunch of older siblings), even as I got older. (some were even babysitters for me) and it's funny now if I run into them and now they have kids of their own.
I don't even know what I'm chattering about anymore haha. I just...I'm really proud of y'all. Doesn't matter where you're at in your "leveling up skills", I KNOW how hard you all work. I KNOW you've taken a lot of time to get where you are! I don't do it myself but I've SEEN your efforts! I think a lot of people will see art and just think "oh it's just copying what you see" especially for hyperrealistic paintings or even for stylized stuff. People see it as "easy" or if it's not "perfect" then it's "not worth it". not even BOTHERING to understand the circumstances and/or story of the artists. And every artist has their ups and downs! I mean like I said, my mom has won competitions and STILL has her "Ew >:( " paintings! Something I've seen a lot of folks on here do!
...I'm sleepy and don't know how to end this haha. Just know you're doing a great job. I'm so happy you've gifted us your creations. It's a privilege to get to see your growth in real time.

hiii:33!! friendly reminder that someone can enjoy a character that has done heinous things and not support said heinous things
usually when a character does Bad Things in a narrative (espec if they're not the protagonist) it is Portrayed As Bad so people who enjoy the character Likely Know They Are Bad
& either way harassing people over enjoying a fictional character is just really childish
if you don't like the character, that is perfectly valid. but there's never any reason to characterise everyone who likes said character as Evil, and/or imply they condone the character's negative actions.
also sometimes i look at internet discourse and it's like people want morally grey characters but then turn around when "morally grey" is not always "i have my own rules but i still make all the right choices !!" some of y'all just need to admit you just like good characters that's fine not everyone is into the spice it's ok to like that good protagonist energy
;;;not saying every character i'm referring to fits in that "morally grey" category, some are just evil villains, but even then i'm sorry 90% of ur stories wouldn't exist without them. they drive the plot.

me: weird, I’m not able to reblog anymore? If I click reblog nothing pops up. I notice ublock origin’s counter keeps going up, what gives?
tumblr:
why the fuck is a wordpress pixel preventing me from reblogging you loser ass website. I’m not on wordpress, this breakage shouldn’t be happening.
Tbf, if I open a new tab or refresh the page I’m able to reblog again - but if I’m deep in the dash that’s obviously not the ideal move to make. I’m assuming this has something to do with the new UI Tumblr’s using because this hasn’t happened before.
Also, having refreshed the page and basically JUST making this post - can you fucking not??
Maybe it’s because I have the logger open so it’s not refreshing things but uhhh yeah this is dumb, whatever’s happening here.
On top of my heart kinda racing (bad) by just using the new UI because it feels like I’m on twitter again I’m just so annoyed with everything @staff is doing >.> STOP IT god dammit

as a certified Aromantic Asexual (I should make myself a certificate) I genuinely don't Believe there is systemic oppression that specifically targets Aromantic or Asexual people.
I do however believe that people Cannot be normal about ppl who don't have sex or romantic relationships, and that can Really Impact Aromantic And Asexual People.
Also like. Aros n aces are still. Experiences Other forms of oppression that can interact with the aro and/or ace-ness

OKAY, this blog is a little TOO informal so I MAY make a sideblog that's more...........PR??? I guess like. "Professional" for the VNs. It all depends though...I was just thinking that no one wants to follow a creator's blog when it's all unrelated to the main work.
I mean, like I said weeks back, Tumblr is BUILT for blogging/multimedia posting and being silly-if anything, if you aren't silly and don't draw often enough, you get LESS engagement, but I guess it's like...imagine playing a game, digging it, you go to the creator's blog, and nothing about the game can be found on the blog except the dev logs.
This is probably my cue to start Toverablogging more often instead of making a sideblog and roleplaying being professional, since that can be intimidating-so the problem is that on this blod, people can't send asks about/talk to me about/comment about a work they don't know/see enough of (as there are very few posts to even do this on to begin with), and a pro-sounding blog doesn't lend itself to fun asks and interaction (though I have seen blogs dedicated to a product get funky asks too).
Of course, part of the lack of blogging and meming about the work and world is because it's a project, and I'm focusing all of my energy into sprites and backgrounds instead of posting often...but I think I could maybe do more like...ask games? Doodle requests? Doodles for answering asks? More bait. To get the blog on topic, more fun to watch/follow and more interactable.
IDK! I'm just thinking out loud. I admit I struggle with this because to be honest, I struggle with being an active consumer-I talk mostly in tags since I hate clogging up posts (though I HIGHLY enourage you all do this to mine, I love reading the additions to mine) and for the most part I tend to look at things, make a bookmark in my mind or in my browser, and be interested without showing interest with comments, asks, all that. So when coming up with ways to present my work, I'm at a loss because I'm quieter than most people might think :[ I don't know where to even begin Toveraposting and introducing the world to my followers outside of completing the VN and getting interaction from people interested enough to start it on their end, because as of now, I can only sit here and stare at everyone autism creature style ☠️☠️☠️

BIO
“When the boy opened his eyes, he found himself sitting on a throne that he had not asked for. When he sought his friend of the past, he clung to his memories even though he knew there was no going back.”
For the longest time, Romeo could remember nothing of his life prior to becoming a puppet, thoughtless and powerless to steer the course of fate down a different path. Eyes remained watching, unable to fully process what they would witness, day in and day out. That is, until the day came that he woke up. By then, there had already been blood on his hands, countless innocent lives ended by a single command, given by his own self.
Designed to bear the blame for such a tragedy, there was little Romeo could do to change what had been done.
But he would do his best to fix it, as well as prevent what had yet to be done.
The crown had been a weight placed upon his head that he hadn’t wanted, but Romeo rose to the occasion all the same, taking lead and charging head first into the maws of death itself. Despite having not been himself at the time, Romeo could recall it all with excruciatingly painful detail. The guilt was sure to slowly eat away at him, but holding onto what precious little memories of his past that he had, he used it to drive his cause forward the best he could.
It was only natural that he would fall to the one who bore his dearest friend’s face– heart and soul lying dormant within a puppet vessel that would deliver his end like an angel delivering justice.
Finally… Romeo could rest; Finally, he could have true freedom.
Or at least, that’s what he had thought.
Once more, he had awoken, fixed and renewed, bearing a body that didn’t beg for the release of constant flames licking their way up and down his limbs at any given moment. No longer was his body plagued with the threat of overheating by merely existing, allowing the king to move about freely without the need of a larger, protective (cooling) shell. Whoever had fixed him had made sure to follow Geppetto’s chronicled notes with the utmost care.
Vaguely, he could recall a somewhat familiar voice whispering to him, though from where, he did not know.
Take care not to waste this second chance, brave one.
There was little doubt in his mind as to what his next goal would be: Fix what he had broken, and repay the kindness that had been given to him by paying it forward.
OTHER VERSES OF NOTE:
Rose Estate Verse; Taking place in the time of his youth and past life, where a younger and more wilder Romeo lived in the Monad Charity House alongside his best friend, Carlo.
Stalker AU Verse; In which Romeo has graduated from the Rose Estate and become an esteemed Stalker of Krat, well on his way of achieving his and Carlo's dream: Becoming the greatest Stalkers Krat (and the world) has ever seen.
