Ok so I've only been here for a few days but I love how so many people in the fandom agree that Wicked Games is the most Hannigram song to ever exist. I put it in my playlist as soon as I finished watching. Then I went into other people's playlists and of course it was also there, always in the first spots. Also in every single edit I've found, and several fanfics too. Is it the lyrics? Is it the melody? Is it the vibes? I don't know, but at this point I'm convinced that this could have played at the end of TWOTL as much as Love Crime and it would have had the same vibe.

middle/high school me didn't form parasocial relationships with celebrities they formed serial parasocial relationships with random lesbian 20-something bloggers with a penchant for being 24/7 haters on increasingly obscure platforms (often that they had abandoned years ago) and would stay up till like 4am every night reading their posts from like five years back and collecting the Lore

#if you look closely i may still not totally be over that tendency - [gunshots]#and it was hilarious id know ALL these details about their lives ok. from their old abandoned blog on wordpress dot com #and i would stalk them and try to find if they were still active somewhere #oh the stories #so first was the forums on fanfiction dot net. i would stalk them daily #and these people would overshare everything about their lives on the internet and id meticulously collect all the details and fantasize #about joining their group someday #and sometimes i would leave reviews on their stories and mention some detail i picked up and they'd be like wait how'd you know that -#and i would make up some shoddy excuse like i did not know every single detail about all their lives #they used to have so much drama too it was hilarious. like full out brawls and catfights #and then there was goodreads. i would get obsessed with a reviewer and stalk hundreds of their reviews #and slowly put together pieces of their life and personality i would never use #there was this one reviewer in particular called emma and she's probably like 25 now?? anyway she was my IDOL in eighth grade #and her entire brand was she loved leaving long rambly one star reviews #and then my blogging era. there were a few then but the most notable was this girl called elle #i know what university she studies at i know her birthday i know all her family drama her girlfriends which taylor swift songs she thinks #are the gayest and she doesn't even know i exist lol #anyway she was A HUGE ONE. she's still influenced such a huge part of my personality to date #and she recommended me so many of my all time favourite books and she was the reason i got into glee #anywayy i stalked her all the way onto tumblr and even summoned up the courage to send her an ask one time #she was the reason i realised i was sapphic actually. and the person who made me the obsessive sapphic media enthusiast i am today #i remember having the awakening at 4am reading her blog posts from years ago on my kindle and listening to all too well #which btw she considered the gayest song of all time so i naturally did too #and i got reallyyy into sapphic media after that #then there was this blogger who went by may #then of course i came on here 💀 and the rest is history #definitely had a bunch of those here too there was this woman named heather #and i was perennially stalking her blog she randomly left tumblr after falling in love with a guy #and making this dramatic post about how she had a burning red love with lots of women in her time but now her love with this guy was golden #noooooo i ran out of tags compulsory stop to my obsessive rant ig

JUDGEMENT: Ignoring the fact that the Hindu/Buddhist/Jaina concept of karma wouldn't be known in Midgard aside from very specific people (i.e Mimir, Odin, definitely Tyr at the very least), I think Atreus kinda does but also kinda doesn't believe in karma, at least in the general sense of cause and effect.

Because like. He's had to deal with so so so much shit, it ultimately means that he's definitely seen and felt the consequences of actions in general; both his own actions, and the actions of other people. The biggest example of this would of course be Odin, as he's the main and central antagonist of the Norse arc of the games, and his actions have had lasting effects on virtually all of the realms in his quest to obtain infinite knowledge and to stop Ragnarok.

I could go into a whole tirade with another really good example, Magni and Modi, but then it'd just be a super long post and I don't want to turn this ask into basically a minor analysis of one specific part of a game lol

THE WORLD: Enlightenment is probably something of an interesting topic for Atreus, especially considering Odin, who as previously mentioned has had a massive influence in the setting during both the past and the present, who sought what you could probably consider as 'ultimate enlightenment' (in the form of literal infinite knowledge), while also doing everything and anything he could to reach his goal, even if it meant actively hurting other people including his own family.

Would Atreus say that he's enlightened? Probably not. Sure, he's definitely grown and changed as a person, but I think that's probably also someone who he wants to be; someone who is constantly learning from his experiences, and changing for the better because of it. Odin, meanwhile, stagnated in a single-minded pursuit of knowledge and power. Thus, I could see him being a little bit apprehensive of the general concept of enlightenment.

Biggest pretentious moment of my entire life I think was once in college when I used the song Hocus Pocus by Focus in an animation project and multiple people in the class were like “oh I like that you used that one song from Baby Driver :)” a movie which I hadnt even seen at the time and didn’t know featured part of Hocus Pocus in it’s soundtrack, and I immediately was like seething and biting my tongue not to be like No :) I did not, AcTuALLy, use the song “from” stupid ass movie Baby Driver, I used the beloved song Hocus Pocus by influential English progressive rock band Focus.

You’d never heard this song before you saw Baby Driver? You’ve never heard of Focus? You’ve never even heard of Focus?? You’ve never even heard of Focus??????

Fact about me that will only be understood and potentially found amusing by a niche amount of people: oddly, the first Vocaloid project I found myself getting into was Shuuen no Shiori and then Kagerou Project. I clicked on a Kagerou Days thumbnail thinking it was a PART of Shuuen no Shiori, lol.

i'll give my own translation too, but let it be known to you that i am genuinely happy that you clarified you're not asking in the "too lazy to try n look myself" way

it translates to "I won't wash my hands for a little while, I don't want to take the pollen from your skin away from myself" and it's a lyric from the czech song called Skládanka (Little Puzzle, i think) by Jan and František Nedvědovi. the song is about waking up with your lover in the bed, it's a lazy slow morning and you don't want to get up but you have to part because the world needs you in work. it's basically just singing about how endlessly the singer loves his wife, that he just wants to be with her

my other favorite lines from it are!: • "Snad se mi zdáš, nebo nechápu nic, snad jsem jen blázen, co chtěl by víc, ty můj vánku, skládanko hezká z kouzelnejch chvil." // "Perhaps I'm just imagining you, or I don't understand nothing, perhaps I'm just a fool, which would want more, my breeze, beautiful little puzzle made of magical moments." • "A tvoje tvář je plná stop mých, začnu se bát, jestli to moje rád ti neublíží." / "And your face is full of my traces, I start to fear, if that loving of mine won't harm you."

Tramp in the Morning maybe???), Nedvědi translated n also wrote n then sung songs that i've all found out about from my parents when i was very little. their songs just remind me of the good times from my childhood
