The last few leafbares have been colder and harsher than ever before, but this one was different. A monster blizzard swept through the valley, and without the trees to show the wind the cold and snow turned deadly. Of the once thriving clan, only a handful of cats has made it up the mountain to safety, and if that wasn’t enough, Starclan seems empty. Perhaps we really did travel too far.

Welcome to another clangen blog, these have always looked fun so I thought I’d give it a go. I’m hoping this will help me improve my visual storytelling and in general help me practice art more. If you see any typos or spelling errors please let me know! And keep an eye out for potential opportunities to help influence the story. I’m hoping to incorporate readers into this story.

2. How do you spend your time when it comes to fanfiction? Are you primarily a fic reader, writer, or a perfect 50/50 split of both?

I would say most of my time goes to writing, because I'm a terribly slow writer and when I'm writing, it eats up hours of my time many of them sat staring at the screen trying to force the words out. However, I also go through non-writing periods during which I happily make up for all the fic I missed out on!

7. Do you prefer to read short fics or long fics?

Good question! It depends on my available time. If a short fic (or the first chapter of a new fic) crops up on my feed, I'm more likely to make time for it during the day. However, if I want to spend an afternoon reading, I'd rather read a longer fic than several short ones.

That said, I'm wary of epics. If I've caught it at the beginning when it starts being posted, I'll gladly dive in, but the thought of making the decision to start reading a 200k word story scares me!

9. Tag 3 fic writers you think are underrated/unknown in the fandom/fanfiction community.

I will list my dear friends catj101 (@booksarelife-stuff) and icymoons (@icy-moons), because going through their works' lists, I see that they definitely deserve more love than they get!

And, I don't know if the newer readers know her, but Indigo Ziona will always hold a special place in my heart. Her Albus Dumbledore's Inbox (now unavailable, sadly? A quick search isn't returning any working links) was HUGE back in the day, and she used to write those excellent song parodies. Her Jily oneshot Coffee Ice Cream was what got me into Jily.

These tartans were designed & registered about two years ago by Geoffrey (Tailor) Highland Crafts on behalf of Prof. Charles Cockell of Edinburgh University.

Mars exploration:

This tartan is intended to be worn during Mars science, exploration and outreach activities. Colours: the red background depicts the surface of Mars, the Red Planet; blue depicts the water-rich past of Mars and the presence of water, mainly as ice, on the planet today; the four green lines represent Mars, the fourth planet from the Sun, the presence of habitable conditions on the planet and the possible future presence of life in the form of human settlement; the thick white line represents the Martian poles, visible from the Earth, a conspicuous and important feature of the planet and its long-term climatic cycles.

Ocean Worlds & Icy Moons Exploration:

It is intended to be worn during science, exploration and outreach activities associated with icy worlds and planetary bodies with interior water bodies or oceans, such as Europa, Enceladus, Titan, Ceres and others.
