The pirate setting is interesting. Cute and funny movie with an interesting and funny crew of pirates. It could have been the film that concluded the saga and instead they wanted to overdo it. At this point it feels more like a TV series than a movie bitch. Only the first can actually be considered a film, it's deeper and more serious.

Ice Age is the best found family series ever literally no other media has anything on this series and no one talks about it. I’ve just finished watching the second movie and they have ended both movies so far with the gang walking off into the sunset the point of the first movie was these three guys taking care of a kid and the end of the second movie is Sid asking Manny for a dog, Ellie calling Diego and Sid Manny’s kids, and Manny saying to Ellie “we have to be consistent with him” bc after Manny said no Sid asked Ellie for a dog and she said yes LIKE THEY ARE THE MOSR FAMILY TO EVER FAMILY WTF

This is gonna be a long thing to explain.

Characters From Left to Right: Tigress from Kung fu panda, Vitaly from Madagascar 3, Morning Frost from once upon a witchlight (though he is squished in the back for scale), Shira from the ice age movies (who I force on two legs) and Diego from the ice age movies (who I also forced on two legs)

I’ve noticed a trend that in shows and movies I like or liked as a kid that if that show/movie had an anthro Tiger character there was a 100% chance said anthro tiger was my favorite character and I have no clue why 🧍‍♀️ I thought I would be silly to draw them together and as I started I realized that they kinda give silly dnd party so I shot them with the dnd ray (not tigress cause she’s perfect and not frost cause he’s already a dnd character 🧍‍♀️) and I ended up with this line up.

We have Tigress as a monk, Vitaly as a barbarian+bard multiclass, Shira as a Rouge+Fighter multiclass, Diego as a fighter, and Frost as the ONLY non-martial as his silly Sorcerer flavored to be like a mystic type deal.

The Autism demands I don’t stop drawing them until I explode so you’re gonna see a lot of them. I have no clue what their adventures will be other than indulging 6 year old me (and maybe fighting the bbeg Tony the tiger /j)

Anyways I’m gonna be so cringe yall don’t even know it.

I imagined Broppy child being a little rebel and I can see Branch being the parent to lecture his kid.

Then I made myself sad cause what if his kid said “I hate you” to him and I can see Branch being sad about it. 🥺😭

Aw, that’s sad 😢

I think that this type of scenario would happen after the kiddo gets tired of Branch’s overprotective ways, and would probably say it in an outburst of anger (kind of like that scene in Ice Age: Continental Drift, where Peaches wishes Manny wasn’t her father due to the same reason)

I just rewatched the entire ice age franchise and for some reason I'm kinda irked about that one female sabertooth named Shira.

Maybe it's because she doesn't have any other personality except being a sexy femme fatale love interest.

But then I looked at her concept art, and at some point she has a cub with her. So i decided to redesign and rewrite her to be more interesting.

Instead of her being Captain Gutt's first mate, she is forced to join his crew because he held her cub as hostage so she has no choice but to do what he says to make sure her cub is unharmed.

Then she met Manny and his friends and they teamed up to defeat Captain Gutt to save their loved ones.

Also it would also be really cool to see Diego being a dad figure to Shira's cub and eventually becoming apart of her family and raise her cub together.

I mean, Ice Age has always been a found family trope right?
