You've always envied Kang Taehyun. Since middle school, he's always been praised for doing well in school and community activities without trying while you had to work twice as hard to keep up. He was so naturally talented at everything that to say you were jealous would be an understatement; it made your blood boil.

Since middle school, you've considered him your rival, but he didn't care and let you continue your one-sided rivalry until the last semester of your senior year. You remember throwing a fit in the teacher's room when Taehyun was chosen instead of you to give the speech at your graduation.

Taehyun finally confronted you about your behavior after learning about it from your teachers.

"Why do you hate me that much? I can't change anything about myself," He bluntly said, staring directly into your eyes, "It's senseless to be resentful and bitter about something I can't control."

His bluntness caught you off guard, and you were at a loss for words. From then on, you stayed away from him.

Even after graduating and ending up in the same college, you avoided him at all costs. You were shocked to find out that you had a few classes with him, but you decided to act like you didn't know him.

One day, near the end of the semester, as you and Taehyun sit in your media arts class, Ms. Park gives out the last task of the semester. She explains to the class that the project is to make or remake a music video with a partner using the song of the pair's choice and that it would count toward your final grade.

Your heart is pounding as Ms. Park goes into further detail. She reminds everyone that she has covered all the necessary material for making a good video over the semester.

You called, raising your hand, "Um, Ms. Park?" "What if we can't think of anything to put in the video?"

"Y/N, this is when your imagination comes into play," Ms. Park replied, smiling comfortingly, "Use what you've learned and create something that symbolizes you and your partner.

"Hey, Y/N, you're okay with Lily and I pairing up, right?" Jake, one of your friends, asked you. "But if you want to pair up with her, that's fine too!"

You shrug and say, "Don't worry about it." When Lily gave you that puppy-eyed expression, you knew she had a crush on Jake and naturally wanted to be paired with him.

When the bell rings to announce the end of class, Ms. Park dismisses the group, urging everyone to put their all into their projects and enjoy themselves. Knowing they barely had five minutes to get to their next class while you had more time to spare, Jake and Lily wave you off quickly.

Before you can step outside the classroom, someone grabs your arm from behind. You turn around and see Jay, one of the school jocks, in your way. You had a bad feeling about this because you heard from one of your classmates that Jay was known for getting others to do his work for him.

"Hey, Y/N," he says to you with a sly grin. "I heard you need a partner for the final project. Well, guess what? You're looking at him."

"Thanks, Jay, but no. I'll find someone else," you told him as you rolled your eyes and tried to pull your arm away from him.

"What, you don't think I'm good enough?" He scowled, his smirk becoming a sneer.

"It's not that," you try to say calmly. "I just don't think we'd get along."

"Listen, Y/N," Jay stepped closer, his face inches from yours. "You don't get to choose who your partner is. I'm telling you right now, you're going to be my partner, whether you like it or not."

As you take a step back, your heart rate quickens. "I said no, Jay. Now get out of my way, please."

Jay pushes you as his face darkens. You take a bad step backward and fly down the flight of steps. You close your eyes and prepare for impact when suddenly, a firm hand grabs your waist and pulls you back up.

When you open your eyes, you are met with the sight of Taehyun, who had been listening in on your talk with Jay. He glares at Jay and asks, "What the hell do you think you're doing?"

"I didn't mean to-" Jay started, stepping back and looking a little scared.

"You didn't mean to do what?" Taehyun cuts him off. "Push her down the stairs? You moron, you could have seriously injured her.

Jay fumbles an apology and rushes away without pausing to look back at you two.

"Are you alright?" Taehyun asked as he turned to face you, and his gaze softened. You nod in answer, still shocked by what just happened.

"Kang Taehyun," you breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you. I owe you one.

"What do you mean? Owe me a favor?" he questioned. You turn to face him as you are startled by his question.

"Sure," you say. You pause for a second, unsure whether your hesitation was caused by the fact that you were still somewhat rattled up from the situation with Jay or by the fact that you and Taehyun were speaking normally for the first time in a long time.

"You can repay me by being my partner on the final project," Taehyun tells you. "What do you say?"

"Well, what did you say?!" Lily shrieked. You met up with your friends after class, updating them on your rather eventful day.

"I said yes," you sighed, closing your eyes and leaning back on the library chair. "Better Kang Taehyun than Jay."

"True," Jake muttered in agreement. "Why do you hate Kang Taehyun again? He's pretty nice. He helped me with my essay once."

You groaned, sinking deeper into your chair. You told Lily and Jake this story when you started college, but you couldn't say it now. Was it because he kinda saved your life? For the trouble and ruckus you've caused in his life, you never would've expected him to save you.

"I give up," you muttered, a scowl on your face. The next day, after you gave Mrs. Park your names, she gave the class the whole period to decide and discuss what each pair wanted to do for the project.

After barely talking to each other, you and Taehyun chose to make two different lists and find a match, only to find out that you both like completely different types of music.

"Kang Taehyun, how the hell are we going to make a music video for SHINEE's Ring Ding Dong?" you asked as you shoved his paper back at him.

"We could dance," he said, shrugging as if it was the most obvious answer.

"No."

Taehyun was about done with you after another fifteen minutes of you rejecting all of his ideas.

"Y/N, do you really dislike all of the songs I chose, or is it because I suggested them?" Taehyun asked, clearly tired of your tone.

"A bit of both," you agreed. Hey, there's no shame in being honest. He chose you to be his partner.

"If I choose a song I know you'll like, do you promise not to shut it down?" he asked. You sit up at his words, wondering what song he would mention. You nodded once but kept your fingers crossed in case he suggested something terrible.

"Some by Soyou and Junggio."

"So? What's the big deal?" Lily asked as she did your nails. On Thursdays, Jake has baseball practice which allows you and Lily to have your girl time at your dorm.

"I sang that song with a senior I had a crush on in high school," you explain to her, thinking back at the time you spent alone time practicing with Chenle to perform at the opening of the school fair. "Brings back memories, that's all."

"So you guys have all your filming schedules set?"

"Yeah, he said to shoot at five locations, but I said I'd only meet thrice. We're meeting this Sunday to do the first take," you answer her, checking out the hand she had just finished coating. "He suggested we feature in the video ourselves to save time and that he would do all the scene planning."

"Damn, Y/N," Lily grinned. "Taehyun is such a gentleman for giving in to your demands. Meanwhile, I have to sing and dance to Dynamite with Jake."

"Shut it, Morrow. I know you want to spend alone time with Jake."

On Sunday, you and Taehyun meet at the café he picked for the first scene. It was tucked away in a back alley near campus. You were impressed that Taehyun knew about a place like this, and you found yourself liking every aspect of it, from the cake display to the furnishings. He smiles and waves you to the chosen table when he sees you.

"Hey, Y/N! I'm glad you could make it," he says, standing up to meet you. Despite rolling your eyes in response, you can't help but be a little taken aback by his charming demeanor.

"Yeah, yeah, let's just get this over with," you mumble as you sit down.

Taehyun laughs. "Come on. It'll be fun. I promise."

"I doubt that," you snorted in response.

He orders two coffees, and you set up the camera and other things. As you work, you laugh and joke with Taehyun when he makes too many mistakes. His face turns red with embarrassment when he admits he doesn't know how to use a professional camera.

The next time you looked out the window, the sky was a shade of orange, which meant the sun was setting. You both quickly realized you had been in the cafe for more than three hours when you looked at the clock on your phone.

Taehyun looks at his watch and frowns. "Whoa, it's getting late. Do you want me to walk you home?"

You're unsure what to do for a moment, and you feel a strange flutter in your chest. "Uh, sure. That'd be great."

As you walk down quiet streets, Taehyun talks about his favorite bands and movies. You find yourself opening up to him and telling him about your own interests and hobbies. Halfway through the conversation, you quickly remind yourself that you hate him and stop saying so much.

When you finally reach your door, Taehyun turns to you with a smile. "Thanks for the day, Y/N. I really enjoyed it."

You have a strange mix of feelings. On the one hand, you had to admit that you liked the day more than you thought you would. But on the other hand, you still couldn't get rid of the irritation you felt toward him.

"Yeah, it was… fine," you reply, trying to keep your tone neutral.

Taehyun's smile fades a little, but he nods. "Well, I'll see you in class then."

"Sure," you say before opening the door to your dormitory building.

You can't help but think about the day's events as you walk up the stairs. You expected to be bothered by Taehyun the whole time, but he made you laugh and have fun. And when he offered to walk you home, it felt like a date.

But you quickly tell yourself that you can't let yourself get too comfortable with Taehyun. You've spent years building up a wall of hate for him, and you can't just let that go because you worked with him for one day on a music video.

A few days later, you and Taehyun meet up at the arcade for the next scene of your class project music video.

You can't help but feel a little nervous as you wait for him to arrive. Even though you've been trying to stay away from him since you met on Sunday, you can't help but think about why Taehyun wanted to work with you on the project.

When Taehyun shows up, he waves and smiles at you. You swear your heart missed a beat.

"Hey, Y/N, you ready to shoot?" He asked with a small grin on his face.

You nod, trying to control the butterflies in your stomach. "Yeah, let's get started."

While Taehyun set up the camera and equipment, he suggests you play some of the arcade games to collect some footage for the video. At first, you're not sure, but he talks you into playing a few games with him.

You find yourselves laughing and having a good time while playing together. Taehyun is pretty good at some games but is not afraid to act silly and mess around with you. At one point, he accidentally bumps into you, and you both fall to the ground laughing. You look up at him and realize you don't hate him as much as you thought. He might even be a little bit likable.

You two continue to have a great time together throughout the day. You're still a little cautious around him but beginning to see him in an entirely new light. He's not the perfect robot you once saw him as, but a real person with feelings and flaws. And he is nice to be around.

When you're done with the last scene of the video, Taehyun smiles and turns to you. "Thank you, Y/N, for today. I had a great time today, too."

You smile back, and your chest feels warm. "Yeah, me too. And I'm sorry I'm always so rude to you."

His smile gets bigger. "It's okay. I understand why you didn't like me before. But I'm glad we could learn more about each other."

You nod, feeling a bit awkward. "Yeah, me too."

You can't help but feel like you just went on another date with him as you left the arcade together.

Halfway down the street, Taehyun tells you he has to meet someone at the cafe you just walked by. As you walk back to campus, you say goodbye. For the first time, you're a little sad that you have to part ways, and you're not sure if you want to keep up the wall of dislike between you two.

"Taehyun! Over here!" Taehyun smiles and runs to the table where Huening Kai was sitting.

"Did I just see you walking by with L/N Y/N? " Kai asked, shock painted all over his face when Taehyun responded with a nod. "Did she get amnesia…? Doesn't she hate your guts?"

"Yeah, I'm working on that," Taehyun chuckled, scratching the back of his neck.

"Dude, don't tell me you still have a crush on her?" Huening Kai asked, laughing when Taehyun's face turned pink. "Hilarious, you know she's hated you for as long as you've liked her. Crazy how you both ended up in the same college too. Maybe that's what they call fate."

"Fate, huh?"

You and Taehyun stood on the rooftop, overlooking the bustling campus below. The sun was setting, casting a warm glow over the two of you as you sat on a blanket laid out on the ground. Taehyun had prepared an afternoon picnic for your final scene, complete with sandwiches, fruit, and a bottle of sparkling wine.

He had suggested that for the last scene, you'd film a time-lapse of you two sitting side by side and the sun setting in the background.

You couldn't help but feel conflicted as you looked at Taehyun. You had always disliked him, but as you worked together on your project, you realized that maybe you had been too immature to try even to get to know him. Taehyun was kind, funny, and incredibly talented but never tried to rub it in or show off. You found yourself drawn to him, even though you weren't sure if you were ready to admit it yet.

As you chatted and ate, Taehyun suddenly said, "You know, Y/N, this is my dream date."

"What? A picnic on a rooftop? That's your dream date?" you looked at him incredulously.

"Yeah, it might sound simple, but it's the little things that matter, you know? Just spending time with someone you care about, enjoying good food and great company," Taehyun explained, leaning back with his arms supporting his weight, the sun giving him an orange glow as he looked at you. "That's all I've ever really wanted."

You felt a flutter in your chest as you listened to him. You had never considered Taehyun a romantic before. You clenched your fists as you realized how the last three meetings with Taehyun had made you feel.

"Taehyun, can you please stop leading me on?" you blurted out suddenly. "I don't know if you're just being friendly or if you actually like me because of all these places you've set up, but I can't keep pretending like I don't feel anything for you."

Taehyun's expression softened. "Y/N, I'm sorry if I've been unclear. I didn't want to push you or make you feel uncomfortable. But the truth is, I've had feelings for you for a long time now. I just didn't know how to tell you."

Your heart skipped a beat as you heard his words. Could it be that Taehyun felt the same way you did?

"I'm glad we got to work on this project together," Taehyun continued. "It gave me a chance to show you who I really am, and I'm grateful for that. But Y/N, I'm not just doing this to change your opinion of me. I genuinely care about you and want to be with you."

"You liked me?"

"Yeah," Taehyun shyly chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck as he continued talking. "I think it was that time in middle school you helped Chani redo his homework that had fallen into the school fountain. I must sound creepy, huh?"

Your eyes welled up with tears as you looked at Taehyun. You had never expected this, but now that it was happening, you felt a huge weight on your shoulders. How could you have been so unkind to someone who felt this way about you for so long?

"Why are you crying?" Taehyun asked in a panic, sitting up to look for a napkin. Did he say something that upset you?

"I-I'm sorry for everything," you apologized as tears rolled down your cheeks. "I've been so unfair towards you, and you've been so patient and kind with me."

"There's no point dwelling in the past, Y/N," Taehyun comforted. "I don't hold anything against you."

"Taehyun, I promise to do better to make it up to you," you said softly. "I don't know where this will go, but I'm willing to find out. Thank you for being patient with me."

Taehyun's face lit up with a smile as he leaned in to kiss you. The sun had set completely, but for you and Taehyun, the world was beginning to light up.

Moonflower Cookie's First Anniversary

Hello! I am NovelSora, or Snow and I am here to celebrate Moonflower Cookie's first anniversary (April 27th). To celebrate this occasion, I have completely overhauled her current set of sprites with more on the way. I did plan on this being a little more extensive, but I am SWAMPED with finals at the moment.

I realized I never posted this drawing here and since it's 15th anniversary of Friday the 13th remake, I think it's good opportunity to post it.

It has a very special meaning for me, soo... if you are not interested in my mumbling, you don't need to read the following text, just enjoy the drawing 😊

This art was made especially for For the love of horror, which I visited last November. It was a long journey and not exactly cheap one, but I'm really happy I decided to go.

I met so many amazing people, so many awesome cosplayers and of course the main reason, why without thinking, I bought the tickets and only after that I was trying to figure out how to get to Manchester (it's quite far from my country).. I met Derek himself! And even after those few months I still can't believe it really happened. I can't even express how happy I was, when I saw him. For real, he is the kindest person I have ever met! 🥹❤️

He gave each fan as much of his time as he could, because he wanted to be sure to make everyone happy and feel special and appreciated! Just seeing him interact with fans was a pure bliss!

I was so nervous, because my English is quite bad, but the moment he smiled at me and said Hello, how are you? , the worries were gone and I just talked to him like a friend. Even after all these years, he is still excited about his role as Jason and it was so endearing to see him talking about it so enthusiastically. He welcomed me in the horror family and we talked about our love for horror movies and of course about Friday the 13th.

At the end he hugged me and took a photo with me (he is so tall omg!!😳) and then he asked, what I want to have signed. I showed him this drawing and he was like "Oh my god, this is drawing? You did this? That's so cool! How did you do that?" I don't need to tell you how happy I was when I saw his reaction. And we spent another few minutes talking about drawing and art. He was so afraid of ruining it by signing it, it was so cute. 🥺

I also gave him one print as a gift, and he genuinely looked pleased. And then he gave me one extra signed poster for that! I couldn't believe it. What an incredible person! ❤️ What I heard from other fans, he was nice to them too and signed more than just one thing.

And the next day, when I went for the official photoshoot, he greeted me with big smile and "Oh hello again! How are you today?" I'm not sure if he really remembered me, but I felt special at that moment. 🥹

I asked him if I can hug him for the photo and he said Oh, of course! and gave me the warmest tightest hug ever. 😭

Such a sweet sweet man ❤️❤️

I would never have believed that I could meet some of my favourite slasher actors, because most of them are from US, which is far far away. I could only dream about that. But last year I saw several of them during two days and met two of them in person. Best decision ever!

Now when I feel sad or have mental breakdown, I remember this moment and it helps me to calm down. Because even if everything goes to shit, I will remember meeting and hugging Derek Mears, my favourite Jason and comfort character.❤️

And I also got a kiss from Michael Myers, but that's for another post. 🤭

Never stop believing in your dreams, because they can come true when you least expect it ♥

It's may, so time to swap virtual pets.

Pendulum Color Deep Savers was fun, definitely better than the Digital Monster Color, which, you just kind of expect that when comparing Pendulums to Bricks. The Digimon I started with is still alive. I do want to raise a new Digimon next time I run it and start filling out the log, but I also want to see how long I can keep vikemon alive. But for now, i'll be replacing it with Nature Spirit. If you're curious about the charm, it's a little slime monster, because it reminded me of pabumon, but I think I could come up with a better idea.

The Gigapets Bit Bunnies are going away until next Easter Season, they'll be the pet I run every month of easter. I don't really go big on Easter the way I do Halloween, but this can be my way of celebrating. They were very cute. But I think next time i'm only going to concentrate on running one bunny, and not all three. I love the option, I just wish we could pick them. In place of Gigapets, I decided I was feeling an oddpet this month and went with Gyaoppi II, a little dinosaur pet, it's my first time running it so i'm learning as I go, it has some interesting mechanics, there is aparantly weather and you need to give your dino a hat in the sun and an umbrella in the rain, also it doesn't go to sleep unless you make it sleep, and it has a "sleep meter" that seems to deplete extremely slowly. I almost worry if it's going to be asleep when I want it to be, but it's other stats deplete slowly too, so we'll see how it goes. Thankfully this device works beautifully, it's not like the Hitorikko disaster at all.

Tamagotchi Uni and Tamagotchi Mini are both going back into storage, and i'll be running a gen 1 Tamagotchi. I've been feeling tamagotchi really hard lately, I think i'm going to try and go for Mametchi again, wish me luck because I have never been able to do it, but I've learned some new things, aparantly the mechanics are a bit different in the remakes than people originally thought.

I also have a Tamagotchi Pix in the mail... depending on how excited I get I might run that in addition to this.

Also, I'm, still running two Digital Monster Colors. Just trying to get them to their final forms so I can unlock specific backgrounds, but they're going back into storage for now when I'm done with that.

ok. i finally finished final fantasy vii rebirth. and i wanna talk about it. i guess you could call this my "review". this post will be vague and spoiler-free unless you click on the "read more".

i do love this game, but it's an absolute mixed bag: story: 10/10 combat mechanics: 9/10 music: 9/10 art direction: 10/10 voice acting (jp): 10/10 open world (non-quest stuff): 4/10 sidequests: 6/10 minigames: 3/10 pacing: 1/10 does this game have flaws? yes. is it as good as the og ff7? no. but is it worth playing? absolutely. i almost feel like this game needs a "cheat sheet" in order to know what parts to play and what parts to avoid. but the good parts (mostly the linear main story stuff) is SO gd good that it's still a must-play game. ok but now i'm gonna go into details (and spoilers) under the rm cut.

so i'll go over some of my scores. firstly, the story is the main reason to play this. they def fuck around a lot, maybe they bait and switch a bit too often, but in the end it makes for a very compelling (or at least interesting) narrative. at first, i was REALLY worried that this game was gonna turn into just some "fan pandering nightmare". and it felt like it was "ff7 without it's claws". esp when everybody was dancing like pop stars and aerith and tifa kept high fiving. but... it def got into that good ff7 trauma we know and love later on. and respect to them for following through with killing aerith. yes, they did what i sorta expected. they teased tifa dying instead, teased aerith NOT dying, and then killed aerith anyway. they EASILY could have left her alive, but they didn't. they kept in the loss angle, which imo is what makes ff7 "ff7". i kinda LOVE that now you have a batshit cloud "seeing" aerith's ghost like it's star wars. and everyone else seems almost... afraid of him. and rightfully so. also i LOVED the zack stuff, even though it was absolutely confusing. i like that they're hinting at zack somehow breaking through his reality into the rm universe. i also like the tease that... idk... will there be another "party" involving zack, kyrie, biggs (if he's still alive or not)? regardless, a great story!

the combat feels mostly improved over rm. the gameplay is fantastic with very few flaws. difficulty is way more balanced than rm, with easy feeling a bit harder and normal feeling less unfair. the only times i felt frustrated by the gameplay was when they laid the "stone" status effect on too thick in parts bc it felt cheap. is it as good as the og combat? no. it still def has the unfun "you desperately need to heal but don't have a charge and the enemy is immune to everything so you just die" thing. but credit where its due, the "free item a few times per battle" materia fixes a lotta those issues.

the music is incredible. the remakes of old songs generally kick ass. some of the new music was pretty good, too. though it gets a point off because a lot of the open world stuff music felt... generic? this is just a situation where the og game's music is TOO GOOD, so the new music will always be fighting this sort of uphill battle.

the art was perfect. just the shading alone... like jesus this game is absolutely beautiful. i took so many goddamn screenshots in game, and they'd often end up looking like key renders, even tho it'd just be a random ss i could take at any angle. this game went above and beyond all expectations.

the voice acting... there was SO MUCH and it was all SO GOOD. tho i did switch to jp voices. bc... in this sorta storytelling, eng just sounds like "drama club"? idk there's a reason the language of origin cast is usually better and that's just how it is. it was perfect.

ok now we're gonna get into some of my issues, starting with the open world. it's not ENTIRELY awful? some was genuinely fun and exciting. but the majority was busywork. like it's so weird when the mainline stuff was so good that this would feel like a shitty ubisoft game. and chadley... fuck that dude. worst character in the series. but for SOME gd reason he ends up talking to you nonstop! i hit the point where i'd wince any time i heard his "radio" turn on. he took an already mediocre open world and made it way worse. fuckin chudly.

the sidequests that weren't just repeated busywork were usually neat. tho some were bad, and others withstood their welcome. the cutscenes/dialogue were usually fun or genuinely great, but they too often came at the cost of wasting your time. they often had shit rewards. and they often incorporated the shittiest "minigames" ever (i'll go into this more in a minute). example: you gotta find ingredients for a character who is learning to cook. but it isn't just going out to find them in the world. no no no. you gotta follow a dog (ftr i love the song) as they slowly meander through a jungle, running into every mob they see. and when you finally get to where the "salt" is, there's a dumb scavenger hunt minigame where you need to find only the 5(?) salt piles that look like the photo. THEN you gotta get on your chocobo and look for mushrooms in a confusing, puzzle-like terrain. which also involves a smelling/follow the direction minigame, which always leads you into mobs. and once you get to each mushroom? there's this STUPID picking minigame. after all that, what reward do you get? an accessory that functions like maybe the worst materia in the game, but also takes up the accessory slot, making it even more unusable. FUCK this game sometimes, lol.

speakin of "fuck this game", the minigames. the 200 minigames (exaggeration, but it really feels like that many). some are genuinely incredible, like the piano minigame? which might be one of my favorite minigames of all time, it's legit THAT good. or "red xiii rocket league". but for every good minigame, there was a mediocre one. and then a terrible one. or one that gets WAY too hard in higher difficulties, like the mog game which starts fun but ends up dogshit and unplayable a few levels in. even tho the good and passable minigames are the majority, the bad minigames? they're maybe some of the worst minigames i've ever played in my goddamn life. like, by design, they're almost anti-fun. i genuinely believe some of the people in charge of the bad minigames should be blackballed from the industry. it's bewildering.

and finally that brings us to the pacing. if you play the game the way they seemingly expect you to play, getting to each new area and sidequesting a bit before continuing on with the story? then you'll spend five hours of mediocre/bad sidequest for each hour of good story. that's even worst if you're a "completionist" at all, you can triple or quadruple that number. we all loved remake because it "expanded the midgar section". we were all hoping they'd do the same with the og open world. the very idea of "big open world, but so much bigger" seemed incredible. but they certainly gave it to us! like they gave us exactly what we said we wanted, lol. when i first started playing rb, i was mostly completing each area. by the second or third area, i was more than 50 hours in. "burnout" is a gross understatement. all the mediocre sidequests combined with the sometimes unplayable minigames ALSO COMBINED with fuckin chudly? and i actually started to hate this game. it made me miserable. i'd get to a new area and just roll my eyes. i'd see a new minigame tutorial pop up and i'd mash "cancel". but wouldn't you know it, once i started skipping most minigames/sidequests? i started havin a ton of fun. turns out this pacing issue can be mitigated a lot. straight up you can ignore most of the open world, and i would actually strongly recommend it. if you DO wanna sidequest a bit between story, i'd say put on a podcast, set the difficulty to easy, and turn the voices down (bc chudly). and don't do everything. oh no. just do enough to unlock the chocobo, to buy the best materia chudly has from that area, and maybe get the summoning. even THAT is probably too much. bc near the end of the game, you get the opportunity to go back and finish a bunch of the stuff you missed the first time. and i actually enjoyed a lotta that stuff then! it was almost like a period of rest and relaxation before the end story stuff.

there are ways, intentional or not, to make this game feel even BETTER than remake. when you skip most of the side stuff, it's paced incredibly well. so it's hard to say it's a bad game. it's actually a really GOOD game with "too much side content". if you treat the open world stuff as just like, a living, detailed world you glance at as you zoom by? it's actually really cool that it's there. i have a couple more pros/cons that i wanna mention, but i don't know where else to put em. like the end fights. thematically, i adored em. in execution, it went on for way way WAY too long. it was like a 15 (yes FIFTEEN) phase fight. on normal, i swear it felt like it took close to two hours, full of unskippable cutscenes and only like one checkpoint. it also takes away al of your team composition too, consistently forcing you to use characters you don't wanna use in the hardest fights in the game. first time, i got through to the very last sliver of final sephiroth's health, only for him to cast some dogshit unblockable "everyone is at 1hp" move at the end. it was ok bc "i'd prepared for this". so i instantly had one character use a gigapotion on the other, who i switched to so they could dodge just to be extra safe. the potion... missed? how? and then before i had a chance to use another, he killed the remaining character. bad game. shit game. but whatever, i hit retry. and i couldn't believe it. it sent me back 7 phases. i was livid. it had sucked the air outta the room. so i said fuck it and restarted the whole fight from the start on easy, because i can't tolerate that kind of scumbag game design that wastes a player's time. and wouldn't you know it, turns out i'd been at the very end of the fight when i died. if the potion had gone off like it shoulda, i would have won, no question. ironically even on easy, that trash situation happened again, but the potion actually went off this time, that was the only difference. but yeah. fuck that fight. it was cooler thematically than the final fight in rm, but it was three times as long, and three times more unfair. fuck whoever designed this fight, they too should be blackballed from the industry, lol.

the last thing i wanna talk about is queens blood. bc my feelings on it are sorta all over. so it starts out kinda boring, like as basic as ff8 triple triad, but wayyy less fun. and you're very limited in who you can play and what cards you can add to your deck. the ai seemingly "cheats", but it's so "linear" that you can win anyhow. and they musta known they'd lose most players, so they legit give you the ability to "flip the game board" at any point in the match and start over with zero punishment. they knew the game wasn't rly fair by design. but it's still good they had the easy retry feature, or they woulda lost me too. the qb experience sorta continues this way until you get to the latter junon area, where suddenly you run into... idk what to call it. intense difficulty spikes? like this dickwad who's playin a rockabilly guitar. FUCK that dude's deck and FUCK his ai. almost single-handedly got me to drop qb altogether. i was absolutely done, had decided qb was just a poorly designed game. thankfully, right after junon they have this big tournament on the boat to costa del sol and it's really fun. you suddenly are getting cards that have actual strategy. and suddenly qb opens up. there was a slight misstep after the boat where they make you play these stupid "puzzle" versions of qb, but you can look up guides and, even if they aren't fun, they help teach you about the game. anyways, i cautiously started playin more matches in later areas (skippin fights that seemed too lame), and before i knew it, i'd kinda fallen in love w the game. it also helped that they started incorporating this fun n bizarre story, too. so idk. i'd say play qb the same way you play the side content, skip a lot of it until you get to the end game? and then go back with cards you bought or won and finish the ones u missed. it's so weird that so much of this game works this way. and i could see someone arguing that "it's just a bad game". because when most games hand you content, even side content, most players expect they should at least give the content a fair shot. it really is kinda poorly executed. but! there are so any ways to mitigate the bad and focus on the good. knowing what i know now, i like this game even more than remake (which i really REALLY love). rebirth was fuckin great. and thank fuck i didn't get spoiled, tho i never wanna hafta try n rush through a 100+ hour open world ever again. i'm really excited for part three, just hopin i can remember to skip over a lotta the optional stuff. also hoping i won't have to buy a fuckin ps6 or whatever just to play it.

Rewriting "I'm a Star"

@annymation beat me to it! Similar to my fellow Disney fan, I did a rewrite of "Wish," and I imagined "I'm a Star". I'm trading things out, though; originally "At All Costs" was a sweet, slow song and "I'm a Star" was an upbeat number. In my rewrite (which I'll link below), Star sings this song to the Teens and Asha to help them gain confidence for the trials ahead--though since he can't speak, he asks the animals to help him explain. I imagine this is a slower, much more introspective song than the original (which kinda felt like an educational school song). Similar to my rewrite for "This is the Thanks I Get?" I imagine this has a different style of production. BTW, the art above on the right is by @RubyDianArt on Twitter!

After getting to know Kuras and his love towards living creatures such as animals, he opens up a vet that is not far from Kuras' clinic. He'll accept any creature that you consider as 'pets'. He learned things from Kuras as well.

In the U7, he and one more person are the one who can freely go to different dimensions and timelines. But for some reason after he unintentionally transmigrated to Eridia, he could only do it with a certain short amount of time and used a lot more energy than before, even until he passed out.

He lives somewhere that is not far from the wet wick. An old small rusty cabin that he turned into a cozy one. He planted roses there to make it obvious that he lives there. Although, only those who are close to him are allowed to enter for some reasons. He also manages to have his own room at the wet wick and Kuras' clinic.

Very affectionate. His love languages are acts of service and physical affection. Kisses, hugs, fucks- actually, he's only give the fuck options to his believed.

Dudes magnet. Actually, not just dudes but you get the point. Due to some of his um… assets, he always gets the eyes of a few people wherever he goes. He really couldn't care less what kind of stuff he's wearing.

If he's in an anime, he would be that one character who always gives the viewers the fanservice… Just saying.

The eyes on the drawing are purposely drawn like that. He actually had a pretty big irises compared to others. He just goes that way.

He learned a magic that could turn his body into a toddler. Which he likes to use when he's sneaking up.

Even from his looks that really looked like a good boy, let's not forget that he's a monster as well. A creature that is NOT a human. A creature that could possibly kill people when he's not in control.

Don't bring him to a casino or any place that is related to gambling, that is a warning.

Love dressing up. He loves wearing something new and he's a fan of shopping for things.

A person who loves the feeling of danger and always injures himself. Well, he's not going to be an optimistic risk-taker for nothing, hunny. Always goes to the dangerous options when he's in a difficult situation. He will get wounds here and there, but he'll survive.

A violent drunk… totally not recommended to give him more than 3 tiny glasses of alcohol.

Very good with children. He's more of a mother than a father...

Lmao oh don't worry I realized that years ago, why do you think I'm boosting my old fics? 😂

Humor aside, there's nothing wrong with a writer or creator recirculating their work. I know far too many creators who are burdened with this idea of "relevancy" and the fear that if we stop creating regularly, we'll lose our audience. It's a valid fear, it is indeed what happens anymore in a world where we expect to receive everything immediately, from books to movies to music. You know what it gets you? The consumer? None of those things. It gets you, your favorite artists/writer/musician burning out and taking indefinite breaks because they don't have the time to realize the stories and music and art they want to create and the pressure is too much to keep up with, takes the fun out of the act of creation.

So what can we do to keep people around while we're working on those projects we just can't finish in time to remain trending and popular? Recirculate.

We literally do this all the time outside fandom, with classic books taught for years and years and years in academia, with remasters of video games, remakes of movies, etc. There are people coming into and leaving the fandom every day, a constantly morphing audience looking for new content who haven't had the chance to peruse the archives for us old spirits. Our creations don't stop being worth reading/viewing just because they weren't made last week.

I talked very publicly about struggling with a very long writer's block, about forcing myself to work through it and update Riptide every year because I didn't want to leave readers hanging and I still loved this story and wanted to see it finished. I'm on the other side of that now, but this thing is a behemonth fic and it takes time and it's all I have going for me right now. I don't have the bandwidth to take fic requests or write little 5k fics every week. Doing that was fun and I'm forever grateful for all the fics that came out of that, but it's what drove me into the ground. I should be allowed to share the things I wrote in my "heyday," my "prime," or whatever, with people who haven't yet read it, who may not see it because, yeah, it is like 6 years old now and no one is going to see it popping up on AO3 anytime soon unless they filter to my specific tags and go digging through pages and pages of other content. I'm sure there are huge names in the fandom writing now. I am definitely, 100% a ghost of the past.

Whatever, so I've lost all my relevance because I slowed down. Maybe I'll only get 2 or 3 readers or reblogs now, but that's all I had in the beginning too. I worked my ass off for every reader and I pour everything I have into these stories because I love writing, and bitter little anon hate messages aren't going to make me stop anymore now than it did back when I was getting single digit hits. One reader is all that matters, sharing the story is all that matters. I hope you got what you wanted out of this, anon.

Annual Update 2024

Alright everyone! New year, new updates for all my stuff!

Starting with ...

AtDFF and AYC

(The new signatures for my main art, AtDFF, and AYC)

As some, and by that I mean most of you have probably noticed, I rebooted AtDFF... again. I technically started a revamp all the way back in 2020 where I was redrawing the older updates to better match the current style and reformat the asks and text for better readability, but that didn't impede on the main updates (well, besides putting more onto mine and the rest of the team's work load.)

The Reboot

This past year though, I made the decision to completely reboot the comic for a few reasons. One was an attempt to renew my motivation, another was wanting to rework some of the lore, yet another was being inspired by @askfallenroyalty to remake the comic and post to ComicFury, but I think the main factor was... I wasn't all that happy with it. I think I kept comparing it to other comics, especially Fallen Royalty, which is my own issue, please don't go blaming anyone else. I knew I could do better, especially after over 5 years working on this, but now looking back, part of me feels that, rebooting it again is, in a way, diminishing those years. Even with the 2020 revamp, prior to it you could go through the updates and really look at how my art has progressed, and though true you can still scroll and find the old updates, it's just... not quite the same. Same can be said for the 2023 reboot.

Does that mean I'm going back on the reboot? No. I already have the next updates planned (I just haven't had a chance to work on them that often) and I really like the new lore of the world that I've come up with. I just think this will be the last time I ever reboot the comic. Whatever happens, happens, and I need to just roll with it. Even if what happens is our little roadtrip getting derailed into a corn field again, lol.

Comic Fury and New Comic?

With that said, what do I have in store for the new reboots of AtDFF and AYC? (yes AYC got rebooted too, I just haven't posted the first update like I did with AtDFF) Well, I mentioned a Comic Fury, which surprise. Both AtDFF and AYC have their own Comic Fury pages now! Don't worry, I still plan on posting to Tumblr as well, but now you can also find them on Comic Fury. Along with another comic I'm planning to do (eventually), Undertale-ish: The Comic. Ever wonder what Ish Frisk's journey through the Underground was like? Want to see what happened in most (not all) of their 800 runs? Want to see this child grapple with their self insecurities, perfectionism, and the responsibility of having full control over time and an entire civilization's lives in the palm of their hand? Want to see Chara as a ghost? Well that's what you'll get with Undertale-ish: The Comic! Coming I don't know since I such at scheduling and time management for these things!

Schedule

Speaking of scheduling! When are any of these comics coming out? Well... I just said I suck with schedules, and I can't promise really... anything when it comes to release but like... I know I for sure would like to release things... regularly? Even with the start of the reboot, I started it in April, and that stuff extended until at least August. Every summer I naively think "Oh! I'm gonna have so much time to work on the comic!" and then I get a summer job. Because I'm nearly 20 and going to college and even if I'm still living under my parent's roof, I can't entirely rely on my dad to pay my tuition. Only for half the year. Then during the school year, I have classes, and I feel burned out by the time I get home, and- It's a whole thing I need to find someway to work around or else nothing gets done and my brain just screams at itself. So, I think scheduling is something I'm gonna figure out throughout January, and try and get a backlog of updates ready throughout February to April or May so maybe we can start posting again in summer. Does that feel like a long wait? Even being near a year from the first update of the AtDFF reboot? Yes. But also I'm trying to over estimate and give myself the time and space I need while still attending college, and I wouldn't just be working on one comic update, but multiple. I'm trying to give myself space and some grace instead of making promises that feel hollow after a while of being unfufilled.

Lack of Motivation and How to Fix

Another thing to address, is my motivation when it comes to these series. I don't think it's accurate to say I've felt completely unmotivated to work on either comic, I mean, I was motivated for some of the beginning of last year to full on overhaul them, but I will say that, these comics have started to feel like a job. It's been something I've felt for a couple years now, where I've been having less fun with the comic as it's begun to feel like actual work. Believe me, I'm super excited for some of the later plot points of both AtDFF and AYC, and I love Undertale-ish and these characters but to get to those points or character moments, it feels like I'm slogging through what comes before it, which isn't good. This is something that sure, rebooting helped for a bit, before I got caught up in school and other stuff, but it's not a permanent solution and I've felt myself slipping back into the comic feeling like a job.

So how might I remedy this? Well, I think the solution might lie in another series I started this year, Drawing Junior Secret Squad until Chapter 3. Even if DJSSuC3 is more Deltarune focused, I've enjoyed drawing Chicago and my other fankids pretty much daily as, there's not that much pressure on it. Definitely not like there is with AtDFF or AYC. I don't have to line, or even color them since, they're just little doodles. I don't have to worry about missing a day since, I'll just do multiple the next day. They're quick, they're easy, I can just draw whatever idea I have with the characters I want, I'm having fun. Back when Ask the Dreemurr-Font Family was nothing but an ask chat on Amino, that's what I did it for. For fun. I wasn't worried with popularity or being like other creators, I just did silly little character driven roleplays for fun. I think that's been my issue with the comics. They aren't fun anymore. They're work because, I feel it's my job to tell this story rather than just... telling it because I want to. So, I think going forward, I'm gonna try to have more fun with the comics and Ish in general. For you all, that's probably gonna look like more sketches and doodles getting posted and maybe even just sharing small comics based off ideas that pop into my brain or from roleplays that happened in my server. Little things to help me regain the enjoyment I had with these comics and world.

Deltarune: Fool's Fate

I think that's all I've got to say on the Undertale based comics, so how about now we move onto something Deltarune related? As I was doing DJSSuC3, I introduced an idea called Deltarune: Fool's Fate. Aka, Chicago and Co's adventures through the Dark Worlds after Kris denied their destiny. So far, this has just been little doodles, character designs, and a roleplay I've been doing in my discord server. I've been having quite a bit of fun with that RP, we're nearly to the end of what would be the first "chapter" and have been fighting Dorothy, the secret boss of the Attic Dark World and who some of y'all might recall I made a real life doll of when my old computer finally kicked the bucket earlier this month. (I've still yet to make her dress or crown) I think roleplays have always been the thing I find the most enjoyable when it comes to character exploration as, I don't have to spend forever drawing comics and I get to sorta live through the characters. It's something I've been doing for characters from even before I was in this fandom. With the Fool's Fate roleplay too, I've also got to come up with elements that could feasibly be in an actual video game without, you know, actually coding a video game.

I don't know where Fool's Fate will go from here, while it'd be cool to have it be an actual fangame, I don't have that sort of skill. Nor the budget to pay a team. (My team for the comics is really just a bunch of friends I convinced to help me out for free.) Even with a sprite comic, it'd be too much. So, for now, it'll likely just remain a concept and roleplay. But, who knows. Maybe someday I could make it into something. I mean, after watching this year's Underevent I wanted to.

Other stuff

With all the UTDR stuff out of the way, what about some of my other stuff? (Because, surprise, Undertale and Deltarune aren't the ONLY things I do. Just the things I hyperfixate on the most.) Well, I've got my Fakemon region, Azmayca, POW-R, Dragon Riders, and Kinder Eyes which I started last summer. I don't really have any plans for them, asides from bugging people for ideas and doodling whenever I'm in the mood. However I think starting this year, I'm gonna try to post more of the doodles I make. Either ones in my sketchbook since DJSS gave me the confidence to post sketchy silly little doodles like that, or sketch doodles I draw digitally as warm ups. Though who knows. Maybe a hyperfixation swing some time during the summer will cause me to actually try to do something crazy like outline the whole Azmayca region and hypothetical game. Hopefully not something like that though. Making the evolutions of my redesigns of the starters might be nice.

Commissions

Another thing I'd like to finally do next year is update my commissions sheet. It's something I've had in the work for a while now, and was working on along side launching the comic updates. But, like the comics, school and work got in the way so... I sorta forgot about it. Regardless! I'm gonna try to post my updated sheet some time within the next few months, it's mostly just been havin to draw or find recent examples of my work. Hopefully then I'll actually get some more commissions because, um *looks at the whooping $3.94 in my checking account* I could really use the extra money. I might work during the summers and get grade payments from my dad but, that stuff is to pay my tuition and some of my lunches during the semester, and even with lunches, 500 dollars is spread thin through 17, 16 ish weeks. That's like, only $30 a week, which is maybe enough to cover buying lunch at the campus food court like, once or twice from the food court. Maybe three times if I'm lucky and conservative with my spending. Not to mention that $300 of that went to my new laptop, and even if I should be getting $300 from a paycheck I was never paid back when I worked at Arby's 3 summers ago, I still haven't gotten that gift card in the mail so... Yeah. If I was living on my own, I'd be screwed. Which is why commissions and Patreon are like, my only source of income during the school year. (I still need to look into getting an on campus job for this upcoming semester but that's its own whole big can of worms.)

Patreon

Speaking of Patreon, that's another goal I want to set. Actually posting to it again. I had a burst early last year were I was regularly posting to Patreon with early access chapters of The Puppet and the Real Boy (before I retconned that with Fool's Fate) and thanks to my only Patreon ever @kierangecko, I managed to make around $50 bucks which ended up being used to help get blanks for some of my Christmas gifts for people (thank you Gecko. I know I did stop posting after like, May, but that money really came in handy.) So for this next year, I'm gonna try to post to that again. Be it WIPs of the comic, scripts, little doodles I don't post on Tumblr or whatever, I want to make Patreon another source of income. Which involves posting to it at least monthly. And even if I don't, then you guys won't have to worry about anything since I've got it set to not charge for months I don't post anything.

Resolution Review

So, to review some of my... I guess you could call them resolutions, though I'd rather think of them as goals I don't absolutely have to hold myself too but would just like to accomplish, I'd like to...

Have more fun when with AtDFF and AYC through drawing and posting more loose, silly comics and doodles

Try figuring out a posting and work schedule for AtDFF and AYC by then end of January

Hopefully get a back log of updates for both comics ready to release by summer

Start on and release Undertale-ish: The Comic sometime this year

Keep doing Drawing Junior Secret Squad until Chapter 3 until Chapters 3 and 4 of Deltarune hopefully come out sometime this year.

Possibly design hypothetical secret boss predictions for Chapters 4 and 5 of Deltarune before the next chapters come out.

Keep working on, designing characters for, and coming up with Dark Worlds for Deltarune: Fool's Fate. Perhaps even drawing some tarot cards with the chapter bosses.

Post more about my other projects, even if they're only sketchbook drawings or warm up doodles.

Update my commissions page and hopefully take more commissions to earn some extra money/save up for college or to move out.

Post regularly to my Patreon, also to earn some extra money.

Generally have a better year than 2023 and to find more enjoyment in my art and projects.

Big art dump (also happy autism awareness month!)

Ok so first thing was just some art I did for autism awareness month because this sort of thing means a lot to me. These are all just headcanons (except Kayz and Cain but that's cause they're my ocs and canonically) so if yoy wanna hear more about them don't be afraid to send an ask!

Next page I'm actually super proud of, and Khalil is just so fun to color omg omg! Also the Geist and Khalil one was fun to draw. The ship art too once I got the sketch done.

Third thing was just some sketches I wanted to do, I accidentally made Jack's skin tone a little dark (I use Rose beige but used brick brown by accident- oops) but I think it still turned out good. Also the Orange addison is slaying that pose

Next 3 things was an art project for school. We had to make (or remake) album covers or music posters, so I decided to create a theoretical Tesla album! It turned out pretty good, could've done better on the shading tho.

Then there's some sketches for an au where Drunk Guy gets Hanahaki disease! I'm still messing with it but can talk about it if you wanna hear ^^

Then I drew Spamton because I love him and I needed comfort that day really badly.

Then final thing I redrew a scene from entry 61 because I was feeling bad lol.

Also I'm doing better now for people worried.

An update on Stickronpa.

As you know, I made Stickronpa as a danganronpa fanfic, and at the moment I'm on break. But recently I had the decision that I would redo the entire fic in a format similar to instaronpas (images simulating a visual novel) and with that, I will rewrite the whole story, modify some things, and redesign the characters to something more than to my liking (especially now that I'm improving my art style). in other words, Stickronpa will be completely changed from the beginning!

but don't worry, I'm not going to delete the originals (for now), but I just want to be able to improve my writing, art and story, so I hope you understand, because soon this remake will finally start. I hope you understand my choice and won't be too disappointed with the original fanfic being discontinued. I just want to present something that I think will be fun!

(( I wont be speaking in character what so ever. Just me. Some may know me as @ag-piers , some as @ask-dimentio-the-jester , however, behind the artists between roleplaying as those 2 characters, it's just me. Firby It's been a while, maybe even years huh? I love this blog not gonna lie, but I wanna explain stuff in 3 points! Let's start shall we? ^^

(( So..much...stuff.. Lately, I have been drawing a lot of other things, being more into the Kirby community. I took a break from the SPM community due to seeing how much drama existed and in reality, Kirby has always been my #1 favorite and SPM my 2nd. Don't worry, I miss drawing Dimentio and I want to draw him again, just need ideas on how to draw him since...well I drew him in so much ways through the ask blog I cant think of new ideas for him haha.

Streaming - Something I have been doing for at least 2 years! I would Roleplay as one of my characters I've made years ago. I am always roleplaying as him in the streams. Yes I know. I'm female and he's male, yes I change my voice for him.

"It Has been a while~"

(( We've had some fun, silly, serious, and depressing moments with this Dimentio ask blog. It was fun, I enjoyed it a lot actually! I still have that Dimentio plush, I still love Dimentio a whole lot. Still my favorite Mario character of all time. I do miss drawing him and hope I can draw him again, not as an ask blog but just casually in my main account for now. Don't worry tho! I won't quit this blog, just a long break is all. Who knows how long at the moment because I'm doing so many projects right now wanting to do more stuff like making fan merch and making my characters something more than just drawings. I guess...and then work, but, rest assured, I will NOT completely quit/abandon this blog. I just need a very very long break. when I ever do come back, I will decide what to answer and when to answer, like whenever I have free time and wanna draw a question! As for now, taking a break! Minka's POV

I never tire of premieres. In high school everyone looked forward to the prom, why they looked forward to seeing all your peers on a Saturday, finding the ugliest dress in the store and being monitored by teachers while horrible music played was beyond me. Even in my adolescence I fantasized of premieres instead, spending forever in mamusia's room putting on her makeup and perfume, her dresses and pretending to be interviewed by E! and whoever was hosting the Oscars or the Academy Awards.

My favorite part was always choosing what to wear, fashion is like art to me. You don't just choose what looks cute you choose a palette, a theme, what will make your body flow and strut naturally. It is choosing your personality and displaying your interests, even a simple pair of nomination jeans with a t shirt and a pair of docs decide what you feel for that person and who they are.

I'm the only celebrity without a stylist, dressing myself and doing my hair and makeup is an emotional thing for me, maybe it's the punk rock roots from my now teaching father, but I don't even go to get my hair done. My signature black, bob is of my doing.

It's why there's so much footage of me on camera weeping whenever my ensemble is complimented, I put so much thought and heart into it.

Tonight, beside my friend and director, James, presenting the premiere of Spellbound at the Houdini mansion, I was Minka Farrah, but I was Minka Farrah inspired by Miranda, my malevolent two faced witch, the character I played in the film.

It was a risk to wear the gloves but once I slid them on, it made my Morticia tight dress pop, and with their occult imagery they too told the story. No one could hardly believe I had bought them off etsy, handcrafted and one of a kind, I made sure to heavily promote the artist behind them.

I felt so much worry and anxiety with this movie, like any remake. Yes the name is a tad different and James added and took away some things but, it's a classic, a niche cult classic, but a classic all the same. I worked so hard to be the perfect Miranda, taking from the original played by the late Kelly Preston, I also took inspiration from Lisle von Rhuman, and funny enough Miranda from the film Miranda about the mermaid. I was ridiculously overjoyed with the wonderful feedback I got in return.

I was on cloud nine tonight, and then my confidence faded when Tom told me Timothée Chalamet was here tonight. I nearly threw up, that wicked Saxon, he knows the crush I harbor for the greatest actor of our generation. Longing was more a fitting word. He's the first boy in a while who's made me feel…well to not put it lightly, horny, the word ecstasy, inadequate, and…longing, all at once. I don't just want him to hold my throat during a movie, I don't just want him to fill anything considered a hole in me, I don't just want to talk about our influences, I want him to consume me and devour me.

I have never met him, ever. But my brother, Stone, one day mentioned me as his favorite actor or actress of all time on Graham Norton's Show, and at the time I had no idea who he was. So Stone put on Call Me by your Name, and then showed me his Tumblr and the entire Chalaverse and I was hooked. I was very judgmental before watching his Little Women Christian Bale was the only Laurie for me I swore by him, but Timothée Chalamet ruined that for me. I think I went crazy for him watching him play Laurie.

And he's so gorgeous, long and tall and lean, I love skinny partners because it makes their shoulders and hands look even bigger, not the only reason but it's a major one. His hair is romantic and long and curly and just.. he's perfect, his mannerisms his voice, he has me hooked. And to hear that he's here…I mean it makes sense, he's Tom's friend.

I hoped I looked good enough, when I think of him I feel too big for my hair…what if he likes long hair on girls…thankfully there was another photo op with James to distract me, I felt in my element until I turned around to whoever asked for my attention. "Yes?" I still wore a red painted smile laced with a laugh, and when I turned around it fell the mask fell because there he was, and looking at him and smelling his cologne and knowing he approached ruined my Agent Provocateur thong.

I was breathless, speechless. I said nothing and just nodded with a smile.

He tugged his bottom lip in with his teeth and I stared for a moment. "I thought y-you w-were– I mean–" he laughed breathily and ran a hand through his messy curls and I felt light headed. I sucked on my lip and he stared at me for a moment and I must have looked confused because he started to talk again.

''I'm sorry, I'm sorry I'll uh– I'll leave you alone." Before I could even scream for him to stop saying that I never want him to leave me alone, he walked away disappearing in the sea of tuxedos and gowns. What did I say?

Feeling disappointed, I made a beeline to the wine, I had the bartender fill up my glass all the way to the top with red champagne. My favorite, Chandon's red champagne, was a Shiraz of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry notes. It was my absolute favorite and right now I was going down as much as I could to forget how I ran off Timothée Chalamet.

Did I offend him? What was it?

Two glasses of red Chandon later we were heading to the after party at Chateau Marmont .

I was in the middle of talking to Lana when Tom walked up to me. "Hey, what did you do to Timothée?"

I looked confused. I felt confused. "I didn't say one word to him."

''Exactly!"

I furrowed my brows "Tom, sweetie I'm not following."

Tom laughed. "He thinks he offended you or annoyed you. But knowing how you feel about him, it's all starting to make sense." He smirked.

"Oh my God, shut up!" I squealed, which made him laugh louder. "I'll go talk to him, God he must think I'm such a snob!" Why did I have to get starstruck?

"No, no, he just thinks…." But Tom stopped himself, trailing off. I narrowed my eyes in suspicion. "Tom…"

Lana laughed. "Oh I think I know…" She and Tom exchanged a look and a brow waggle before laughing and I let out a cry of frustration. "I hate you both, tell me right now!"

They just laughed harder and I shook my head. "Whatever, I'm going to apologize, do I look okay?" I gestured to my ensemble, honestly no one can say I didn't stick with the theme of the movie, it was an ode to Matt and Miranda's bdsm scene when she gave Matt the false sense of hope that he was in charge of their "relationship". It's a black latex suit, arm, body neck, everything covered, even had on fetish boots, but my breasts were completely out and my nipples covered with black latex pasties to match my black painted lips.

Tom choked on his drink as Lana eyed me with a slow and appreciative nod. "Minka bloody Farrah, the only person on the entire planet that stands there posing shy and cutesy in a fucking bdsm body suit asking if she looks okay!" He laughed in disbelief.

I pouted. "A simple yes would have sufficed.'' He shook his head. "Where is he?" I asked.

"In the bathroom having a smoke." I took a deep breath, some of Tom's IPA and headed to the French styled bathroom. I knocked and a muffled "Occupied.' Spoke through the door.

"Um Timothée? It's me, uh Mink-" Before I could get my name out the door was opened and he stood there towering over me gorgeously in all his Capricorn glory, a black vintage fit blazer open, a white tooth shirt and faded jeans with combat boots, a necklace wrapped around his neck seductively and rings adorned the long, skeletal fingers that held a cigarette. He smelled like a writer, cigarettes, espresso, and alcohol. There was a spicy cologne with a hint of sweetness and a small amount of sweat. I wanted to eat him. His verdant eyes were naturally and dreamily hooded, but right now a little wide as his raspberry lips hung parted.

I blinked and bit my lip as I twisted my fingers. "I wanted to apologize, Tom told me you thought you annoyed me–"

"I'm gonna kill Tom-"

"But you didn't! I was just…I love your acting so much, I was caught off guard…I'm so sorry, I can't believe I was so rude–"

"N-No, you weren't. " He finished softly with a breathy laugh before leaning against the doorframe. Stop posing or I'll drop to my knees.

I felt elated when I noticed his eyes roam my outfit, but then a little fear lingered in those depths of satisfaction. What if he thinks I'm too easy? He probably likes classy girls, he dated Lily-Rose Depp for God's sake.

"You like my acting?" A smile tilted his lips up.

I shrugged with a smile. "You probably hear that all the time." His eyes drifted from my mouth to my pasties, maybe I should have worn something else.

But he stepped aside and gestured in. "Please, join me, there's a lovely seat on the toilet."

I giggled. "But then where will you sit?"

"In the tub of course."

I think it would be much more interesting if they brought more about Leon's emotions and especially doing this in the re6 remake and about him and Sherry too...

I understand it's cool to think about your ship (not talking about you of course :3) but I wish people would talk less about who he could possibly end up with and talk more about his character

But these things sell absurdly and also a part of the fandom sometimes seems to breathe only from this ...having Leon as my favorite character and being a beginner artist, I wanted to be able to see more details about him so I could apply it to my art one day ..

i was SHOCKED when the intro to RE4make WAS NOT a recreation of leon's RE3 epilogue/that scene in DSC of leon in the interrogation room after his kidnapping. and not only that, for sherry to not even be mentioned seemed... odd. i would've bet money before that game came out that they were going to try to find a way to put that in there.

and then i thought about it a little bit (as opposed to not at all) and

i realized

we're all assuming that leon has hangups about sherry. there's no actual evidence to support this. everyone in this fandom (including myself) talks about leon's paternal love for sherry and how pivotal she is to his character arc, but

you know

the canon has never treated their relationship that way. that is never shown in a single RE title.

this is what the canon actually shows:

>leon pushes claire to find chris and takes sole responsibility for sherry >leon and sherry get kidnapped by the CIA >the CIA hold a metaphorical gun to sherry's head and say "join us or we shoot" >leon says yes >... >at some nebulous point in the future, leon tells adam benford that the only reason why he didn't shoot himself during and after raccoon city was for sherry's sake >a file in RE6 states "[Sherry's] relationship with Leon and Claire since they saved her in Raccoon City has never changed." >this sentence is absolutely meaningless when it comes to leon because the canon never established what that relationship was in the first place >... >15 years later, leon meets sherry in china >sherry describes leon to jake as "he saved my life in raccoon city" and nothing else >leon tells sherry that "he heard" that she'd become an agent >sherry became an agent four fucking years ago >leon hasn't spoken to sherry in at least four fucking years

and i'm honestly thinking that sherry is less important than we all think she is. like, he sacrificed his freedom and autonomy for her, sure, but then he just kind of... i don't want to say he stopped thinking about her, but he certainly didn't care enough to try to cultivate a relationship with her.

there is no evidence that leon and sherry spoke -- let alone saw each other -- at all between his RE3 epilogue and their meeting in china. it's not a conversation he ever has with claire at any point. krauser didn't throw it in his face in RE4make.

i'm kind of thinking leon went "i did all that i could do" and decoupled himself from her. decided that her fate was no longer in his hands, trusted that the CIA would keep their word, and just hoped for the best. didn't let himself worry about it. especially once claire got visitation privileges.

like... after leon strikes that deal with the CIA, sherry just becomes kind of irrelevant to him. which seems cold to say, but... there's no evidence that he felt any other way.

She ruled the teen airwaves for six years as one of the WB network's young, sexy soap stars (she still occasionally revisits her series, 7th Heaven, now in its eighth season), but lately Jessica Biel has been focusing on feature films. To talk about her role in the just-released, much-anticipated remake of the grisly cult favorite The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, we set Biel up with ex-WB col- league and co-star in last year's The Rules of Attraction, James Van Der Beek.

JAMES VAN DER BEEK: Hello?

JESSICA BIEL: Hey, James. How are you?

JVB: Very good. You know, this is my first interview. I'm excited.

JB: Being on the other end, it's got to be strange.

JVB: I don't know. I've never done it before. [Biel laughs] So where are you-L.A.?

JB: No, I'm in Vancouver.

JVB: Oh, right. You're up there for Blade [III].

JB: Yes. I've been here for two weeks, and we don't start shooting for another two. I'm working out like a maniac. I work with a trainer every day. and I'm learning martial arts and archery.

JVB: Wow. You are going to kick ass.

JB: And I'm on this nutritional plan-no salt, no sugar, no bread. Just some fruits, every vegetable you can think of, lean meat, and water. They say they want me to have a six-pack stomach, but I think they really want me to have a twelve-pack. [both laugh] But it's fun getting paid to work out.

JVB: Let's talk about The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It's got a big buzz around it, huh? And it's got such a cool trailer. What made you decide to do it?

JB: Well, I was skeptical about doing it at first lbecause it's such a cult classic and-

JVB: -Had you seen the original?

JB: I had. I'd seen some of the sequels too, and I was not a fan of those. I was worried that this was going to be another sequel, but I met with Marcus Nispel [the movie's director], and he wanted to remake it in all its 1970s glory, but also update it. Then I read the script, and I was surprised by how well written it was. And when I found out that Michael Bay was one of the pro- ducers, I was ready to jump on board.

JVB: There are all kinds of horror movies coming out these days with a lot of talented, creative people behind them. It seems like there's a horror renaissance.

JB: I love horror movies.

JVB: What are some of your favorites? Are there some that scare the crap out of you?

JB: Poltergeist [1982], The Shining [1980], The Exorcist [1973]. Oh-Candyman [1992]! I was terrified by Candyman. Have you seen it?

JVB: No. I'm a wimp when it comes to scary movies. That's one of my deep, dark secrets.

JB: Well it's out now. [both laugh]

JVB: When you're on the set making a movie like that, can you get a sense of "Wow, this is going to creep the hell out of people?"

JB: Sometimes. And sometimes it was even scary for us.

JVB: You were out on location, right?

JB: We shot on a stage once, but everything else was on location in Texas, in the middle of nowhere. Even going to the Porta-Potti was ter- rifying. [Van Der Beek laughs] Not only were you afraid of something or somebody coming out of the woods, but the spiders down there were the size of my palm.

JVB: Well, everything's bigger in Texas. [both augh] Tell me about your character.

JB: Her name's Erin, and she's the glue that holds everybody together. She's compassionate and kind of mothering. She tries to save all her friends, though they end up getting killed anyway. [laughs] What's really cool about her is she has a will to survive and the strength to fight. She's not a victim. She's a strong, pissed-off young woman.

JVB: Oh, I can definitely see you playing that. [Biel laughs] I'm going to have to see this movie now. I'll go with Heather [Van Der Beek's wife]. She'll hold my hand.

JB: My boyfriend gets scared at horror movies too. He hides his eyes sometimes.

JVB: I've never actually done that, but I do look away from the screen. "Okay. That's the side of the theater. This is just being pro- jected." [Biel laughs] Now, how long have you been acting?

JB: I started 7th Heaven when I was 14.

JVB: Was that your first gig?

JB: I had done a few commercials.

JVB: Had you done any other work, like theater or singing?

JB: Growing up, I did lots of plays in Boulder and Denver. I remember thinking, This is fun! I can really do this! My parents were amazing. They said, "Okay. Let's go for it." I took some classes, and I performed at a competition where casting agents and managers from all over the country came in to see the kids in my area, and I won a scholarship to an acting school. Then I came out to L.A. for pilot season-I came out for pilot season three years in a row, and in the third year, 7th Heaven happened.

JVB: Did you realize how big it was to get a pilot that was picked up?

JB: I never really thought it would happen. I remember my manager saying "this won't get picked up they almost never do but you'll do it and it'll be great to put on your résumé."

JVB: Now, a series is a dream come true, and every actor wants to work, but at some point, the series inevitably becomes less fulfilling. How many years into 7th Heaven was it before you started to think, The grass might be greener somewhere else?

JB: Probably around the third or fourth season. I knew this character so well, and I wondered what it'd be like to try something else. Did you feel that with Dawson's Creek?

JVB: For me, it got to a point where the characters were getting older, and a lot of things that happen to people the age that we were playing could never be covered on the show because of the time slot and because of what the show had become. It felt like we weren't able to tell the truth anymore, whereas when we first started, we felt like there were no limits. Now, when we were making The Rules of Attraction together, early on we had a difficult scene together-the one after we had sex, and I'm on mushrooms and you just nailed it.

JB: Thank you.

JVB: So, I was wondering, how do you pre- pare? What's your process?

JB: It's different every time. For that scene I tried to think about what it would feel like to be used. When I feel comfortable, as I did in that situation, my emotions come out. I accessed the guilt I've felt in my past, applied it to the guilt that my char- acter was feeling, and it just kind of happened.

JVB: I remember being blown away by how proficient you were. You should be proud of that work. But tell me, is there any work you've done that you're embarrassed by?

JB: Umm... [laughs]

JVB: Oh, come on! What?

JB: Okay. When I was about 11, I did this 15- minute short that the filmmakers wanted to take around like a pilot and say, "This is our idea for a movie. Here's a quick taste." It was a musical that involved all the fairy tales, like "Little Red Riding Hood" and "Hansel and Gretel." But it was a bit off: I played Gretel, but my name was Regretel. And for some reason, I was painted blue. [Van Der Beek laughs] And all these slightly off fairy-tale characters were fighting each other. So what hap- pened was this little animated guy who looked like a calculator-his name was Diggy Digital- popped out of this boy's computer and saved the town. Then we all sang this song called "Digital World." [Van Der Beek laughs] That's not all! Afterwards, I went out to dinner with my parents, and I was like, "This is the best thing ever. I'm going to be a superstar!" [both laugh hysterically] Oh, God, I'm really going to regret saying this.
