Every time I see this goddamn show get renewed all I can think about is how WE COULDNT EVEN GET A FOURTH

this is gonna be a long one so bare with me as i ramble

i’ve realized fairly recently that doing art as a job is never going to be sustainable for me. while my hands being injured absolutely sucks and i hate it, it’s made me realize i was actually really stressed out, especially since art has been my single source of income. being a working artist means that there will be very little structure and it’s all on me to create my schedule. i can’t do that very well! and not it a “woe is me i cant do it”, but more of a “i understand my limits”.

the timing of this sucks though because i literally have one more semester left until i finish my art degree :’) but after the initial panic im actually kind of excited! i’ve actually decided that once i finish my degree, im going to get my prerequisites out of the way and then major in marine biology (nobody saw this coming)!!! i’ve always had a tough time seeing my future as a professional artist. it’s much clearer now with this new potential job:)

so once my hands get better (please please please be soon oh my god), i’m going to take less commissions and draw for myself more often 💕

Soft HC for you: anakin learns to “love” meditating with obi-wan, seeking him out while he’s doing it, just so he can sit calmly (somehow easier than any other time) and observe him greedily all unguarded and trusting. and obi-wan knows anakin isn’t meditating, just watching, but after a while it doesn’t even prickle his senses and it provides a kind of grounding balance between them

i love the idea of obi-wan being completely taken aback the first time a freshly knighted anakin showed up to join his meditation voluntarily (after an exhausting decade of being forced to hunt him down for practice). it was early in the clone wars, though, and obi-wan was quietly grateful for the excuse to spend time together. anakin’s presence in the force is so large and bright, it naturally fills any room he enters with a familiar energy, and it just makes obi-wan’s fight or flight system turn off more quickly and easily, because it feels safe—it’s like the force is a more comfortable place for him to be when it feels like anakin. it doesn’t matter to him if anakin isn’t truly meditating, if his force presence is instead playfully, restlessly winding around and through obi-wan’s—obi-wan would probably figure that just sitting still in the quiet would be good for anakin’s wellbeing, and he would absolutely be right, though he would naturally downplay of the extent to which it’s all the small ways those sessions worked to repair and reinforce the old bond between them that helped anakin too.
