“you don’t need to read the rhine manhua before you read lonetrail” ok TECHNICALLY true but but then you don’t. you don’t see the parallels and stuff like e.g.
rhine lab manhua: saria calls kristen out. look down. look at humanity. look at the people you’ve hurt. stop just looking at the stars.
the call back in lonetrail right before kristen launches saria out of her ship. but this time it’s kristen saying (stealing my friends words): “hey...look down there's ppl who need you and i've accomplished my dream u dont need to look after me anymore”
saria’s downfall as director of defense—her inability to protect those like ifrit etc.—feels like it stems from the whole “i can fix her” thing she has going on with kristen. it’s this massive blind spot centred on kristen, born of love. it’s a failure that ends up hurting a lot of people she cares about. kristen is a woman obsessed to the point of madness but here even she’s trying to set saria free in her own way (i’m clutching my head in pain)

We’ve already agreed on that Karlach is a big spoon and will never leave you alone at night, she’ll always sleep with you after her engine was cooled down. But Karlach is also touch-starved to death so she’ll hug you and snuggle to you while you’re sleeping together. If you have a sore back her warm body hugging you from behind will work better than any medicine. She will hold your stomach during your period cuz her hands are extremely warm and it makes your cramps less painful!
Oh, love, where does it hurt? Come here, let me hold you. Of course it’s okay! If I can’t get rid of my infernal engine I’d rather use it for good. Making you feel better is the best way I could imagine to use it, actually.

Nightbringer Lesson 11 Lucifer Discussion
I’ve been playing Obey Me for three years and when I saw the dialogue option,
“You’re not actually angry, are you? That’s not it.”
I HIT IT WITHOUT A SINGLE HESITATION!!! BECAUSE I KNOW AND LOVE LUCIFER!!!
And that is the correct option if you want favor with Lucifer!! Sure it may have hurt him that we lied about being a demon but that’s not the problem.
The problem is that because we’re a human we’re on the side on humanity. While Lucifer has pledged allegiance to Diavolo.
Spoiler for Obey Me Shall We Date: Lucifer swore an oath after making a deal with Diavolo. In exchange for his loyalty Diavolo would save his dying sister Lilith by having her reincarnate into a human.
This is something the other brothers are unaware of and why Lucifer calls Solomon disgusting for weaponizing and throwing that in his face.
(Note: While Lucifer has sworn an oath he will always put his brothers above Diavolo.)
Lucifer may be prideful and strict with his brothers but there’s NOTHING he cares about more then them.
So a human who lied to them and has the ability to force them into submission, extract their powers and use it is a MASSIVE threat!!!
A threat he is not wanting to take the risk of especially when it hasn’t been long since he lost his sister Lilith.
When you first approach Lucifer he asks, “Why did you show up when you did? Why did you appear before us?”
He asking why did you come to Devildom now? What are your intentions?! He may ask that but truthfully it doesn’t matter to him. You’re a threat.
A threat he has to eliminate in order to protect his brothers and their new life in Devildom.
Lucifer will lean in your ear and ask right before painfully restraining you.
“Why did you appear before me?” He knows you know his intention. He can’t understand why you searched for him at the Fountain of Knowledge.
What do you want with him?
Because while Lucifer may suppress it and is putting his brothers before it. He has begun developing feelings for the player.
You can later say, “I want to protect all of you.”
Which gains you even more favor with Lucifer because that’s all he wants. He just loves and wants to protect his brothers AND I LOVE THAT!!!!
Us handing him the grimoire IS SUCH A BIG MOMENT!!! Nightbringer players might be unaware but a grimoire is SUCH a big deal!!!
So to hand that over despite the grimoire giving us a major advantage AHHHH MY HEART!!!!
Combined with the player promising to protect them!
Your pledge and actions leave him questioning himself on what’s the right decision. Is trusting you worth the risk it puts his brothers at?
I cannot wait for lesson 12!!! I NEED US TO RESOLVE THIS LUCIFER ANGST SO BADLY!!!!!

Steve starts bleeding through his shirt in the chaos of the cafeteria and Vickie notices. He and Robin try to cover it up but he’s noticeably dripping and Vickie is not an idiot, so she grabs Robin’s hand, grabs a handful of medical supplies from the nearby table and moves the three of them to a hallway closet. And very, very quickly Steve takes a liking to her because she’s quick with the gauze AND funny, and as she patches him up, well, he and Robin have a whole unspoken conversation about it.

so fucking heartbreaking to see yoongi on the bike realize something’s wrong something’s changing something’s breaking and then RUN and literally try to break down the door to get to agust d. i’m now realizing that the scar signifies the trauma and pain he went through, it’s almost like a constant reminder so that he never forgets, like what he’s begging of his amygdala in the lyrics of the song. i can’t stop crying thinking about how hard he was trying to preserve his innocence and couldn’t get there in time. fuck i’m so fucking sad

Despite everything he said in Future Redeemed, when it came down to it N was completely unwilling to kill his family (At least after the death of Ghondor).
During the fight at Raguel Lake, N tells Alpha that he has no qualms killing him despite the fact that he is currently possessing Na’el but N doesn’t kill her. Even when the Ontos core was damaged, N didn’t attack to finish them both off while he had the chance.
On Prison Island, he insinuates that he hasn’t killed Matthew because he is the only thing tying Na’el to the current world, but even after Alpha is defeated, even when he knows Matthew is roaming the earth setting soldiers free and killing other Moebius he doesn’t kill him or even try to stop him.
And I think most telling of all, when he interrupts the final battle he severs the tether between Na’el and Alpha. He had absolutely zero incentive to do that, it was a surprise attack, he could have killed Alpha then and there. But he chose to spare Na’el. Because N isn’t “divorced” from his feelings about his family. Matthew and Na’el are still part of Ghondor, still part of Mio, still part of him and represent that hope for the future he thought had died with the original Mio. The hope that was eventually reborn as Noah.
