I have to say that for me none of this has been about expecting taylor to listen to fans about her personal life. no part of me expects her to go "oh look the fans aren't happy about my boyfriend I better break up with him". it all stems from the fact with it happening in the first place. I'm not disappointed that she's doing something I personally don't want (my opinion on her life is unimportant!) I'm disappointed that someone I'm a fan of is acting in a way that totally opposes the values she's previously preached. it's just the sinking feeling that she's showing her true colours and they don't entirely align with what I thought.

I haven't worn makeup in months after discovering radical feminism and getting into this community.

My workplace is specifically only women, which made me think they would be more accepting. While at work around two coworkers I mentioned how I haven't worn makeup in a long time and went into detail about how I feel a lot better, I have a lot less acne, I have dermatillomania and the urge to pick my face is less strong, (not my fingers tho, still working on that) and feeling less pressure about my appearance.

They both didn't seem too happy to hear this. One of them said she thought I was becoming depressed since I wasn't wearing makeup and "cute outfits". I explained that no the makeup made me depressed and feel more pressured to look different and she went on about how I seemed to be putting down women who do wear makeup. From there it turned into a huge argument.

She refused to listen to any points I made at all, overall just frustrating and I felt like there was no point even mentioning any of this irl. There seems to be no desire to even try to look at things from another angle, just immediately get defensive and deny everything.

hey i just fell down one of the most bizarre rabbit holes i’ve ever fallen down that began with a tiktok ai reading an r/amitheasshole reddit post and ended with whatever this puppet sex homestuck arg (?) was. Having spent the last two full hours absolutely enraptured with this series of blogs, i was wondering if anyone involved in this bro strider muppet nonsense knows @the-muppet-joker or who’s behind that account, or if he’s just an unrelated guy that just so happened to frequently reblog and interact with the 6 of you guys. I have significant reason to believe that blog is another elaborate bit (as it’s the reason i got here) so it would be really fucking funny if whoever runs that account (be they genuine or not) just so happened to stumble upon your shitposts while searching for horny muppet posts and started reblogging then. either way props to you for doing all of this and good luck on whatever daisy brown alantutorial shit you wind up making next because you are all definitely going places. sending this ask to all of you individually btw.

this was our first interaction with the deranged individual known as the Muppet Joker. we had no idea what a sick and twisted mind was behind that account... that epipen story was totally real btw dude. buddy of mine named derek knows error!sans, and it was all pretty fucked up.

no but seriously none of us have ever spoken ooc to mj or know any real details about the guy. we just thought the posts were incredibly good LMAO

they honestly couldve done so much with junpei beheaded/dismembered and im disappointed that it ended up just being mira. so much of his character and his relationship with akane is characterized by his lack of bodily autonomy, and him being openly beheaded during the nonary games would be the ultimate example of this. its perhaps the most brutal death in the game, and it never really gets explained or developed beyond the one puzzle that we get with it. junpei has been shown repeatedly to be subject to akane's plans or follow her blindly and i just think that would have been a really interesting angle to approach his beheading from. junpei has willingly signed up for nonary games in two different timelines just because he knew he would see her. he was infected with a deadly virus trying to find her. he grew desensitized to death as he took underground jobs to try and find her. his safety always comes second when shes in the picture, and his beheading wouldve been a prime opportunity to 1. exploit his willingness to let himself die/be injured for her and 2. make akane confront the fact that her confidence that junpei will always follow after her is not necessarily a positive thing.

WHAT'S CAMPUS APOCALYPSE....

I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED Campus Apocalypse (also known as Gakuen Datenroku) is an Evangelion spinoff manga!!! It has 4 volumes and 22 chapters, and it's basically an AU series with an action-y shonen feel to it.

It retains a lot of the cast and some elements from the anime, but for the most part does its own thing with the lore! Instead of piloting giant robots, the kids fight angels using these magic-y weapons (Shinji has a gun, for example), and the angels themselves are very different from the main series too. It can be odd at times, but it's a pretty fun and interesting take on the series imo!

The plot gets a little wild at times and the ending is sadly pretty rushed (I think it got cancelled?), but it's a fairly quick read and has enough neat concepts along the way that I feel it's worth checking out! :] (i am of course biased, but y'know)

What Personally makes me so fond of it is that it has more of the main 4 kids as friends, as well as features Kaworu as one of the main characters and introduces him right at the beginning! He gets to interact more with Rei and Asuka, as well as has more time with Shinji, and I really really love how his and Shinji's relationship is developed.

It's not as explicitly Romantic as in the anime (CA mostly focuses more on the friendships; there's some ship tease and it occasionally leans towards Shinji/Rei, but the romantic stuff is vague enough that you can see what you wanna see for the most part imo), but it's still very sweet and meaningful all the same. The development of their friendship is a significant part of the story, and it's not that hard to view it in a romantic light. It's like. Friends to lovers kawoshin. To me

IN SHORT: Campus Apocalypse has a different vibe from the anime and has some interesting stuff, but it may be just kind of average as a whole. BUT it does some specific things really well imo and said things are like catnip to me. If you too enjoy seeing the main four interacting and being friends and Shinji and Kaworu's relationship being able to take more time to develop, it may be worth checking out!

Today I had the best time volunteering for a teaching project (which is led by our chief vascular surgeon).

That is, apart from the fact that we ran into some of our abdominal surgery attendings, who gave me a massive (verbal) side-eye for technically hanging out with the vascular surgeons in my free time. (Some of them don’t really see eye to eye, both medically and personally).

And I’m soooo sick of it, can’t I just try to figure out what I eventually want to do with my career without having to navigate a social and political minefield?
