yes, but only in a few episodes. there's a reoccurring scene/motif that shows one of the characters killing an animal before she had a concept of what death is. if it's a deal breaker for you, its a shame, but rgu has a lot of potential deal breakers for most people. if you are still interested, id say to try and skip through scenes in which nanami is near a river and holding a box. the two episodes that i know feature the scene are: "nanami's precious one" (episode 10) and "tracing a path" (episode 13)
