Beach day w/Hiro

This is if it's his first time at the beach. Idk if he likes the beach because i haven't been watching the series for so long 😔

Let's just say that it was somewhat a blast.

Hiro is not a fan of going outside, especially during a very hot day in the summer.

Honey Lemon or Fred would be the first to suggest everyone into going to the Beach.

Of course, Hiro would say no. But not to you obviously.

You wanted to spend time with everyone at the Beach and Cass will definitely be invited if it weren't for her working at the Lucky Cat Cafe all day.

Hiro wanted to spend time with everyone, too. Especially you.

If he wanted a study date, it'd be you and him in his room or at the library in the campus.

It'll take a bunch of convincing for you to ask him to agree to the fun Beach day and it works.

Since he hasn't been outside in a while, his swimming trunks is too small to fit so you guys went out shopping for swimming suits and stuff.

Honey Lemon and Gogo are on food.

Wasabi on... Literally anything that protects you from getting a sunburn or from drowning.

While you, Hiro and Fred went into Sports store to buy swimming equipments.

Just in case if there are any danger, Hiro already prepared their underwater supersuits.

Hiro will definitely wear something red or purple to go with his tanktop or white t-shirt.

You even bought Baymax a red one.

And you'd find something to match with him because you guys like to match things.

Fred will probably buy a monster themed swimming tube... Or two.

Once everyone are done shopping, It's time to head to the Beach!

When i tell you Hiro flinched when he set his bare foot on the hot sand, he did.

He jumped right into you with his foot up. It takes a couple of minutes before he gets used to the hot sand.

Honey Lemon will definitely carry a camera around to capture any wholesome or memorable moments of all of you together.

Wasabi will be the first to put on sunscreen and prepare the layouts for the best beach day.

Fred will have his butler put his sunscreen on for him with the monster themed swimming tube on him already.

Gogo will either lay back on the beach chair under the umbrella or go out swimming with the rest of the group.

Honey Lemon and you will be ready for an underwater adventure or collect seashells together.

Hiro will sometimes be mischievous and would scare you while you're underwater. But he made a laugh out of it.

Sometimes, you find Fred swimming gracefully in the background and wonder if he ever take swimming lessons or not.

You guys would play Chicken fight together. You on Gogo, Hiro on Fred.

You guys would playfully splash each other or throw each other into the water for fun. Don't worry, no one got hurt.

When it's food time, Wasabi and Gogo are behind the griller, making hotdogs and burgers. Honey Lemon will bring the cooler full of beverages and soda from the car.

All seven of you settle down and eat before it was time to hit the water again and have fun.

But, it wasn't all fun for Hiro after a while.

He worries that a villain might strike at any moment since it's a warm, sunny day and everyone has their guards down.

You'd most likely be the first to notice and reassure him.

You laugh wholeheartedly as Fred tackle Wasabi into the water and they both swim together. You're holding a drink in your hands and just finished eating your hotdog. You watch as everyone have fun but a certain raven haired boy did not. You turn to your left and saw that Hiro was in deep thoughts while he gaze into the warm sand. You stand up from the beach chair and approach him. "Hey, you alright, Hiro?" You ask him softly. He perks up at the sound of your voice and look up to you, his eyes squinting to block the sun. "Yeah. It's just... I don't know. I'm worried i guess." He replied reluctantly as you sit down beside him on the sand. "Why? Is something wrong?" You ask again, setting down your soda/juice on the sand. Hiro watches you sit down before he look down to his feet. "We're out here having fun. Don't get me wrong, i love that we are having a blast. But isn't it just weird that no one has attacked, yet?" He tells you. You could only smile warmly and place your hand on his shoulder. "It's summer and a very hot day, too. I doubt that any villain would attack in broad daylight under a hot sunny day like this. Noodle burger boy would probably overheat, Globby would probably melt, and High Voltage would be super tired dancing under the sun all day. The rest? They're too pro to attack in the daylight. So, you don't have to worry." You chuckled as you spoke to him. He chuckle in amusement and nod his head in agreement to your statement. "You're right. I guess i shouldn't worry too much. Thanks, (Name)." He says, grinning from ear to ear. "You're welcome, Hiro." You say.

After that, you guys join the other to swim while Baymax had to stay back to watch your stuff.

The sun was almost setting and the sky is almost orange.

You and Honey Lemon grab your buckets and little shovels to find any seashells you can find before you guys leave.

When Hiro watch you and Honey Lemon find seashells, he couldn't help but admire your beauty.

The way the crashing waves and wind make your slightly damp hair sway, your calm and soft expression while you dig a seashell out of the sand, and the way the sun compliments your complexion and your figure. It almost as if you're giving out this warm aura.

He'll definitely take you on Beach dates from now on. Just not everyday, once a month or once in two weeks.

In order to capture this moment, he grab Honey Lemon's camera and took a picture of you from where he sit.

After everyone are pleased with their quality time with each other, they call it a day and pack everything up before driving back to their homes in Wasabi's car.

He'll demand everyone to clean their sandy feet before going in though. He doesn't want any to get into his car.

Hiro, Baymax and you are dropped off at the Lucky Cat Cafe and you three went inside, clearly exhausted.

Aunt Cass must've slept early since she didn't appear to greet but at least she made dinner for you guys.

The three of you went into Hiro's room and put Baymax in his charging station. The two of you, exhausted and sorta tanned from the sun.

Thankfully, you guys already took a shower and changed in the communal shower at the Beach.

Girls first and then the boys, of course.

Once your bodies lay on Hiro's bed, you two went straight to sleep while Honey Lemon sends you two copies of the photos you guys have taken together.

Let's just say that, Hiro really enjoys his first time at the Beach with his group of friends.

Hi! I'm the anon who asked about the logistics of together-the-whole-time twist back again. Firstly, thanks so much for your response! Secondly, sorry, should have worded that better! It's not the sleeping together part that would be the twist for me - I actually was confident we'd get the romance canonised, either with a kiss andor with an outright declaration and some hand-holding-forehead-kisses-type tenderness, though not necessarily until the 3rd season, I'm definitely on board with 1941 part 3 and now that they've kissed I have a pretty good feeling about some shape or form of implied, innuendoed or faded-to-black sex scene, or even something like Newt and Anathema, if it fits, in the next season - it's more about the fact that a first kiss an insanely long time ago and a secret, coded, largely unspoken romance since then that's been happening mostly past the audience's nose would put a pretty dramatic spin on everything else we've seen so far. A change our entire perspective and everything we thought we knew spin. Because that would mean that the story we thought they're telling is not in fact the story they're telling after all, that we've gotten the first 2 seasons in a completely wrong context, and that's where the feeling that this might be too much of a rug pull comes in. You don't need to respond again if you don't want to, after all you've already laid out your thoughts excellently as always, just thought I'd give you a follow up. Anyways, hope I'm wrong and you're right!

Hi. I appreciate your follow up. Please help yourself to cookies... Apologies for the delayed response. I save Asks as drafts in my folder to reply to if I'm going to and I somehow overlooked this one for awhile so I apologize. Let me add a few things here about why I really, really, really disagree with the idea that an ancient times vavoom would be "a rug pull" as you put it and "not the story they're telling." (I'm also not sure how you're okay with one happening in 1941 but not millennia ago when, really, both would mean that you'd have been "fooled" by the story? What's the difference, really?) This is actually exactly the story they're telling and there are plenty of suggestions of that.

I recently wrote a meta that I'll link at the bottom listing all of the things that Good Omens has shown you and then provided context for you later and I didn't get through a third of them... that I've even noticed so far. I'm sure there are more. What this does is recontextualize what you've been watching. It deepens it. You call that a "rug pull" with a tone that hints you might think it deceptive in a negative way. I see it as literally brilliant sleight-of-hand storytelling that's innocent in its intent. It's trickery in a magic show sense. Part of my argument to you is that a show where one of half of the couple we're talking about is a magician has a theme of narrative sleight-of-hand lol. It is very much intentionally not giving you all the information you need to have a complete picture of any one scene from only that one scene by design. It's been doing this all along and it is a way of building layers into the story and your understanding it. There is no reason not to think that this would not be the case for scenes related to the central relationship of the show that is between its main characters because every single one of them to date has already been about them.

I don't think the audience would find this complicated so I don't see it as too much of a deception. I think people would kinda go nuts for it, actually lol. You're already watching a show that keeps telling you things later that have you recontextualizing what you've already seen so don't sell yourself or the audience short. All it does is then allow the audience to see what a bunch of us expect is already there anyway. It'd make rewatching the show even more fun. If you ever want to already get a taste of that, theorize for a bit that I'm right and that this has been going on for ages and then go rewatch the show a bit and see what you spot in places. You'll be surprised by how much it all just sorta slides into place. That's because they've built it that way. You're reading a novel that's written out of chronological order and you're only two-thirds of the way through it... are you not expecting a few surprises and some deepening of your understanding of what's going on before the end of it? This show is no different.

I guess I'm saying that ain't no way that the show that keeps making scenes that change your understanding of scenes you've already watched and, as a result, your understanding of Crowley & Aziraphale's relationship, isn't planning the mother of all those scenes that will completely recontextualize the whole damn thing. They are absolutely going to have kissed before 2.06 but the way they recontextualize the whole series at once is if they make the first one near the start of the timeline.

Also fun fact: I got into the MK11 Fandom through being a 1995 movie watcher and MK1 fan, so when I first met Kabal his name was "Keyblade Guy" because his weapons reminded me of Keyblades and I had no clue who this guy was :3

⚔️ Kabal regresses to either super, super young, or about 4-5

🫁 Kano only found out about Kabals's regression when he returned to the Black Dragon (which was also the time they got back together, I like to think they broke up when he left the Black Dragon the first time)

⚔️ Stryker probably showed Kabal the coping mechanism when he was in the police force and that's how he learnt of it

🫁 Never actually regressed regressed until after he was burnt though

⚔️ The first time Kano ever saw Kabal regressed, he honestly thought Kabal was trying to play some prank on him and went along with it

🫁 Afterwards Kabal explained to him what age regression was but it probably took atleast three different coversations for Kano to finally understand what it truly was

⚔️ Although once it finally clicked in, he immediately began to take a Caregiver role

🫁Probably not well either at first, but the effort was definitely there

⚔️ How many almost curse words can he try before Kano crosses his arms? How many times can he try to deny something only to pout when he doesn't get it? How many times can he stare into Kano's eyes while slowly pushing his cup off the table?

🫁 Kano loves him for it though

⚔️ Kano's patience actually can last a very long time when Kabal's small

🫁 Mostly because he knows Kabal's just trying to have fun and what's the harm in a bit of fun, eh?

⚔️ But also because he knows that a quick snap of the fingers and a mean glare will get Kabal to stop whatever naughty thing he was doing

🫁 Kabal's favorite regression item is a stuffed bear he has

⚔️ The bear, however, is in . . . less than stable condition

🫁 It's been through some rough patches, and has some ‘bald’ spots on it

⚔️ But Kabal loves it the most because it was the first stuffie Kano got him when he found out about his regression (even thoigh he probably didn't understand it too much still)

🫁 Kabal doesn't necessarily throw hissy fits??

⚔️ It's already his way or the highway, and Kano's more than willing to be dragged around as long as his baby's happy

🫁 But when Kabal does do something like hit or break something, it'd probably be face the wall, don't move until the timers done

⚔️ But this is a Kano punishment, the minimum amount of time is like, ten whole minutes!!

🫁 That's like a whole day!! 🥺

⚔️ It's not, but Kabal will pout and moup as he drags himself to the corner

🫁 ^ Is definitely allowed to bring any stuffie of his choice because the one time he didn't Kabal absolutely freaked out half way through and they spent the rest of the day cuddling

I feel like this question has already been asked but i can’t remember and I couldn’t find the answer by searching his tag, so: What was the role of Akio in the original OBT? From what i can tell he’s meant to be Rune’s son, but what about his father? Is there a chance he could appear in the current comic, or would he just be repurposed into a new character? (Sorry for long prompt btw)

// the explanation was a bit buried into this ask here (which also talks about other plot points from old OBT), but I'd be happy to give a more accessible version of an explanation as well as some extra context! so akio is the remnant of an arc I had in mind for rune from the very early era of preboot OBT up until I officially scrapped him in 2020. october 6th, 2020 in fact (happy die day you little freak)! in old OBT his role was to be the son of rune and some rando from the luxio tribe in a one night stand, mostly to stir drama between her and kodali. later on it turned out that luxio had the same name as one of my partner's characters (a mew named Xander), and we joked about Xander shapeshifting into a Luxio and blending into the tribe and getting together with rune... and then I made doodles of a vulpix with fun little mew traits, and got attached to the idea! around that time I was gearing up for the reboot of OBT, so he's... well, I was gonna say alolan, but this was actually my first doodle of that fire opal vulpix concept!

and then I thought "actually it'd be more fun if he was kantonian and also will help differentiate his design from rune" which is where you get the current iteration of his design that I use for memeing purposes

then with this being in the reboot timeline, it meant it started intersecting and butting heads with other arcs I had planned. I can probably go more into detail with that once we're a bit further along in the story, but basically rune was A Little Cringe for the circumstances she ended up with xander in the reboot, which would've ended up giving akio a bit of tasty insecurity as he got older and realized he resembled his dad in several ways he didn't like.

one of those ways being that he was flirty, but didn't want to commit to having a family

but that said... these were all headcanons for akio when he was older, aka either in the epilogue of OBT or in a potential sequel. which would've meant I'd have to carry around a baby character that I didn't really have any strong feelings about, a character arc for rune that was fitting with the story less and less over time, all for an epilogue or sequel that may or may not have seen the light of day. don't get me wrong, i still LOVE the idea of exploring this type of arc. but... does it have to be rune's son? she has a bunch of other arcs to explore, and her experiencing motherhood was just complicating the story in a way that wasn't fun to write. overall, it stopped fitting with the themes of OBT and needed to be cut in order to tell the story I actually wanted to tell. so nowadays, akio is a funny little in-joke with myself as a remnant of a long forgotten storyline, and is floating around my brain like a dvd screensaver. maybe someday he'll find a home in a story (he'd be more likely to find another life in my original project before OBT), maybe I'll use him in some sort of RP/collab, or maybe he'll keep collecting dust. only time will tell!

Hey I hope you still want people rambling about their Tavs because you've opened Pandora's box with that one and now I'm back!

My actual canon Tav is named Tristan, like me. He actually had the name first. I first made him as an OC, and then fell in love with him so much that I decided I'll use the name for myself as well.

Anyway! His full name is Tristan Trevelyan, because someone in his life thought it'd be funny to troll him like that. No, there's just some interesting naming conventions going on in the Trevelyan bloodline. His father, for example, is (or was) named Trevor Trevelyan. He's not in Tristan's life anymore though, and they've never had a great relationship to begin with, but I haven't decided what exactly happened to him. I might have to revamp a bunch of Tristan's story anyway.

So far, Tristan is a literal prince, but he gave up his right to the throne because he wanted to travel the world instead of being chained down by the heavy duties of a future king. Whether or not he'll remain a prince, I'm not sure of, because I don't know how well that'd fit into the entire BG3 lore, but it's his canon origin so for now I'm rolling with it, and even if I demote him, he'll still have a noble background.

He's also transmasc like me, but unlike me, he's known it his entire life, and his mother, Shanna, has always supported him, to a point where she supplied (and still does to this day) him with ~a tincture that allowed his body to develop in a masculine way~, so pretty much fantasy HRT. When he's wearing pants, he passes perfectly, but since that tincture is medicine, and not magic, it didn't change the bits he was born with. Tristan is also outrageously gay though, and although his past hasn't been free of any and all kinds of struggles, he's come to see it as a blessing in disguise, because it gives him at least a hypothetical chance to have biological children with a man, should he ever find one he'll want that with.

Spoiler alert: He will.

Tristan is a sweet, wholesome kind of guy. He's kind, optimistic, and will give absolutely everyone at least one chance. He's helpful, and supportive of those he even remotely cares about, and makes an effort to uplift the people around him. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and he's a terrible liar on top of it.

His best non-romantic friend out of the group will be Wyll, because those two have a lot in common even already at first glance. They're both valiant swordsmen with noble backgrounds, questionable fathers, a penchant for helping others, and a huge romantic streak, and I could've absolutely seen them falling in love, if it wasn't for the fateful moment in which Tristan pulled a certain man out of a certain portal, falling head over heels for him the second their eyes met for the first time.

There's much more to tell about my boy, but I think this is enough for one ask. Hope you've had fun reading!

I love a good sweet boy, and a bad liar to boot. He sounds so wonderful. He and Gale are going to be so disgustingly(affectionate) romantic together, I can't wait to hear more about their love story

I've made like three new life smp posts in a row today, and I'm sorry, but I gotta. I watched more episodes, I'm only doing what I must.

Im just gonna like, chunk a bunch of my trains of thought in a single post and hope for the best, honestly.

Literally Martyn is the best, followed up by Sparrow, but anyway-

I think??? It'd be hilarious if the Colin-y was just. convinced that Martyn was just some fucked up creeper, and that's why they're friendly. Like, they all stay in the mountain, so Martyn shows up, he's vaguely blue, clearly cold, and has fur. Clearly that equals fellow creeper. So they just adopt him into the group, and that's why they all decided to pile into his base. Their new friend cant fit into the old den, so they move into the big new den. Or maybe the cave was their home first and his decision to live there cemented his creeper status. Martyn doesn't know why these particular mobs have just decided to be passive, and he's beginning to think he's never going too.

I also like the idea of Martyn being really new to being a hybrid?? Like he's clearly not used to his powers, sort of, right??? So what if he just like, recently manifested these traits. And even just recently showed up in the area, even. Maybe Sparrow could know him, or something.

If he messes up his timing and unfreezes before he hits the ground, is it gonna be like he shattered?? Just like, breaks into a million pieces right before his respawn, that melt into snowflakes. Think of the potential. Think of the angst. An icesicle shattering upon the earth.

Also, and this concept has been eating me alive, has there been a Snowgrave!Martyn yet, now that he has snow powers. Can anyone point me there?? Because like, with his current lore, a Watcher deciding it wanted to possess one of its fellows, or even just a Winner and snagging up Martyn in its games would be amazing to read about. His power slowly growing as servermates disappear, taking more and more hearts each time,, and he doesn't know why. And then, eventually there's only three. His snow buries someone alive. He feels himself die with them, from maybe his own frost, or the possessed player deciding he's outlived his use and doing away with him. Then there's just one.

Katherine is a human. I have been?? Crawling up the wall since I found out. I haven't even finished her episode. I don't know if she even survives it. I do not care.

So, let's set a background where, obvious exceptions aside, everyone has sort of grown up together, even if maybe distantly. And theyre all different species, with different abilities and needs and instincts.

And Katherine is human. Humans are social. How many traits and habits do you think she'd sort of absorb from everyone.

What if she was like, all the hybrids basic idea of human, and she forgets she's human herself half the time.

I am. Desperate for a fic where Katherine meets Sparrow. Or where everyone sort of knows her, and walk into meeting Sparrow with the idea that he's gonna be similar to her, and thus, similar to them. And just get smacked in the face with how different they are.

Give me a Katherine who's spent so long around people who aren't human that she just doesn't really clock that that's what she is.

Given that new life randomly rolls you an origin,, what's the chances of Sparrow having one already that he's gonna start 'manifesting'. Do you think its a bird. I need him to be a bird. At least once.

What if he dies and to come back as a phoenix or something. That would be so cool??.

What if like, fic wise, nobody's sure if humans are included in the respawn mechanics. If they come back at all. I think that'd be fun to explore. Everyone looking out a bit more for their human servermates. The angst potential of one of them dying and returning under this premise.

Also, and this just occurred to me, the humans are space orcs approach? I'd love to see that in a fic. Sparrow and Katherine just being weird and ridiculous by hybrid standards.

Word Count: 408 + 373 Contents: Hand on chest during a casual conversation turned into Arsinoe and Themmy pre-HB not romantic not platonic but a Secret Third Thing and. only sort of hand on chest. Set between the Psychopathor incident and the Catastrofiend incident, to ground it in the timeline a little. Bear hugs is Arsinoe and Chen, strictly platonic, and Retri spoilers. Do not ask how it actually fits into the timeline because I don't have an answer for that one.

Hand on chest during a casual conversation

“You’ve never ridden a roller coaster.” It’s said without judgment, somehow, more double-checking than asking for an explanation for your failure to do something so normal.

“No.” You and Anathema are sitting on the edge of a building, legs dangling over the side, taking a break from patrol to drink water. Hydration is important, in the Los Diablos sun, and you’re pretty sure their acid must use water in some way, even if it’s just for the component parts, or dilution. Not that you’ve asked about the chemistry. “Never had the chance.”

“What abouuut…” they trail off, thinking for a moment, swirling their water bottle gently to watch it spin. “Cotton candy? Funnel cake? Those games that are super rigged but you always sort of want to win a stuffed animal anyway?”

“I’ve never been to an amusement park at all,” you admit, “So if that’s all amusement park stuff, no.” You’re hoping it doesn’t make you sound too much like you’ve got no idea what you’re doing, trying to be human. How often do people go to that kind of thing? Is it notably weird that you haven’t?

“We should go,” Themmy says, smiling softly. “I didn’t get to go to one till a few years ago, they’re pretty fun if you go with friends. Bet we could grab Ortega, make a thing of it. And if you don’t like it, we can just grab a bunch of food and leave with it.”

It’s a quick tap, twice to their chest over their heart with your free hand and your own heart in your throat even though they can’t know what it means, not really, and you’re not going to explain, so you follow it up with, “I’d rather just go with you. Ortega would make too much of a thing of it, and I don’t know how well the crowds will mix with,” tap your temple twice with your pointer finger. Nervous fiddling of your hands, tapping away at other things, little messages just for you.

“Works for me,” Themmy says with a shrug, taking your weirdness in stride. “Maybe we can go with a bigger group next time.” They bump your shoulders together, swaying in and out of your personal space. “This trip can just be us. Less likely to get waylaid by the Charge Popularity Vortex that way, too.”

“That is a positive,” you muse, meeting their smile with a smile of your own.

Bear hugs

You hadn’t really thought of Chen as the hugging type, before. Too aloof, remote and distrusting, helmet and metal armor and a brick wall of a mind. But, hey, you’re apparently finding out that you’re not a good judge of character a lot these days.

Keep your eyes firmly shut, it'd be dark even if you open them because you’re hiding your whole damn face, hands knotted in his shirt -- worn, cotton, some symbol on the front too faded to parse -- his arms around your back in turn, one flesh one metal both his except--

It’s because he was looking for you that he got hurt. Lost his arm. Almost died. But he was looking for you, and you don’t know if it was some sense of duty, some desire to know how all the pieces laid out even when you were dead more than because it was you who’d died, but he’d looked either way. And that was worth-- something.

“I didn’t thank you, before, did I?” you say, before you can think better of it. Your voice is muffled slightly because you’re basically just talking into his chest, but when his arms loosen you don’t pull back. You don’t want to have to look at his face when you’re talking.

“For what?” When he realizes you have no intention of actually letting go, his arms tighten again. Steady weight against your back. Willing to wait for you to explain yourself.

“Looking for me. It. You didn’t find me, not all of me, but it matters that you.” Tried? Looked at all? “Cared,” you settle on. “So. Thank you.”

An intake of breath. Surprise, maybe, you’re pretty sure he’d been expecting you to get mad about it. Wanted you to get mad about it, a little. “Don’t do that.”

“What, thank you?” You don’t wait for an answer, just push onward fast enough that he can’t get a word in. “I can’t believe you’re trying to turn this into an argument. Just let me say this, ‘cause I’m probably never going to say it again." A beat, and he doesn't interrupt. "It matters that you tried, to me.”

A quiet huff of a laugh, barely more than an exhale. “Alright. No argument. Not this time, at least.”

“Good.”

I know it's too late to have this idea and I don't know if it fits the whole anti harem thing AND also I don't know if someone else had asked about if before but,,,,

But they don't found out immediately because it wouldn't be fun. They find out when they're deep into the abuse, like maybe Edge or Black were going to hit Mc on a rage state a pull their soul out and they find out or during the stabbing scene they see the mark idk but it would be really interesting and angsty from the skeleton's part

It's not too late to ask, not really. I like answering these kinds of asks still.

I didn't think a Soulmate!Au would've worked with TSM, just because the skeletons would've turned around because she's their SOULmate. Not because they thought she was good or learned the truth, or even because they really wanted to improve the relationship.

For some, it may have made them hate her even more. A "Why do I have to be stuck with her" kind of deal. Some would've probably tried to "change" her for the better. Some probably would've tried to ignore her, whether it worked or not is up in the air. They'd kind of resent her, Taylor especially would, even more the earlier in the story they are. It may even ruin some of their relationships to a point where it's unsalvageable depending on how the skeletons react.

Mutt, of course, would probably know first and would have the best relationship. He'd be really happy, and would end up telling Black about it. Though that wouldn't end very well honestly. But they'd still end with the best result out of all of them.

Lunar would be ecstatic, because of course he would be. He honestly could've guessed they'd be SOULmates. They compliment each other so well and have many of the same interests! Plus she's so sweet and they can do so much together, it's perfect. He's the next best to Mutt, just because he doesn't live with her. Though sometimes... he doesn't feel like he deserves her.

Grey is practically the same as Lunar. He really likes her, she's just the sweetest and makes his brother so happy. He couldn't think of someone better for Lunar. Even if she's his SOULmate too, he doesn't want to get between her and his brother. But he does relent a bit after Lunar's talked to him. But he's really happy. He has his brother, they're both fed, they're on the surface, they're both happy, and now they have a sweet little SOULmate too. Even if they have to share her with Mutt and a bunch of other assholes, who he thinks she should just tell to fuck off and leave.

Papyrus would probably be alright. He'd be one of the ones trying to "change" her for the better. The nicer one going about it as well, so Mc wouldn't be getting annoyed by his actions. Though it'd end up with more vitriol being aimed at her from multiple others, just because it's Papyrus hanging around her now. A few of the skeletons are a little protective of him for their own reasons. But it'd probably end with a worse result for his abuse though.

Stretch would honestly feel really conflicted. Like she's his SOULmate? But she's not good?? How???? But he just kind of... avoids her. Doesn't really say anything or give any look to her. He's not ignoring her existence, he's just observing actually. Watching her go about her business without really interacting with her. He's just... confused and wants to know why the universe paired him with her. After a while, he figures out the truth and just gets too shy and feels too guilty to approach her. But since he doesn't really do anything, she feels more relaxed with him than some of the others.

Red kind of hates her for it, but after find out he basically goes down the same road as Stretch. He either saw the mark, which happened after he started seeing the signs of Taylor not being who he thought she was, or if Edge pulled out her SOUL. He still glowers at her, which puts her on edge, but since he doesn't actually do anything it's just really uncomfortable for her. So he gets a bit of a pass since it's really... just more of the same. It somehow adds a level of comfort that he seemingly hasn't changed, when everyone else has. A sense of normalcy, I suppose. After a while, he also feels too guilty and unsure how to approach her about it.

Blue is another that tries to "change" her. He's more adamant about it and it annoys her, simply because he's not listening. He still thinks she's bad, so he praises her every time she does something "good" often times interrupting her. She appreciates that he's not completely avoiding her, but she just wishes he'd let her work in peace. Plus, he's still with Taylor, which means it's one step forward and two steps back half the time. Which means he's disappointed every time Taylor tells him "what she's done now" and not listening to anyone telling him otherwise. Mc appreciates his intentions, but she'd just like to be left alone now.

Sans is really annoyed, simply because he now feels obligated to deal with Mc. She tells him he doesn't have to, but he does. Simply because Papyrus is invested now and she's his SOULmate. She doesn't like him lurking over her shoulder half the time when she's with Papyrus, just because he's glowering and it puts her on edge. He's stubborn as hell too, which means his opinion isn't changing easily. He's also avoidant, which means he's just letting the problem fester and refusing to talk it out. It's just a lot of frustration for both of them.

Black's pissed, but he's going to do something for Mutt. Mutt's pretty smitten, and she's his SOULmate, so Black guesses she's not going anywhere. Which means she needs to change. Adding to the fact as well is that Prime Papyrus is hanging around her too. He's also stubborn as hell, so he's not listening to either of them, of course. He's not nice about pushing changes either and he's relentless. She can barely breath half the time because of him, not unless she's locked herself in her room or over at Grey and Lunar's (simply because they will fight him if he steps anywhere near their house when she's there).

Edge is simply pissed and he's going to make it her problem. He hates that she's his SOULmate and he's not going to stand for it, he's not going to deal with it at all. He's a lot snappier with her every time he sees her, a lot meaner with snide little remarks. She ends up doing her best to avoid him at all costs, just because he will make her even more miserable than she already is. Does he feel bad for it in the end, yes but there's not much to be done about it. He was so fucking mean that she just fucking can't. She's too tired, he did too much. They won't be able to be anything but tentative friends, if that. There's just too much in the past.

Folgerscest Fic: The Yuletide Yearning (A Series of Unfortunate Events)

I honestly thought I wasn't going to have it in me to do my now traditional Folgerscest fanfic. But, I had an idea for Klaus/Violet from A Series of Unfortunate Events, and as I started, the 'Lemony Snicket' voice (or as close as I can manage to replicate) combined with my usual fun of twisting the events and dialogue of the commercial to fit with a particular canon and set of characters...just made everything flow and I found myself having a lot of fun with it. So much that I actually binge-watched the whole series again and OH MY GOD THE SIBLINGS ARE SO SHIPPY. I mean I knew that in my head but then you watch it and particularly the ending and you wonder how they possibly made them that shippy and got away wtih it? Like you cannot tell me they didn't wind up getting together. They were practically already married.

My brain is even telling me that I should write more stories in the universe post-canon, from Beatrice's perspective, possibly called A Series of Vexingly Fortunate Disasters, starting with the adventure with Finnish female pirates that was mentioned briefly (except instead of the theme being horrible thingskeep happening it'd be the siblings experiencing a bunch of things that should be horrible but wind out working out for them and pushing Klaus and Violet together romantically. I'm probably not actually going to DO it, because I know exactly how it's going to go I'm going to do a whole bunch of work and then leave it incomplete (I mean I am leaving open the possibility that I might one day write the pirate story) but my brain keeps telling me to anyway.

Anyway, enough of that, here's my 2023 Folgers fic, The Yuletide Yearning.

I know I've infodumped this before but not as its own post so let's go. what I'd do if I was in charge of making a live a live anime. I am ignoring the fact that I desperately want it to be a musical because that's not going to happen so ask me about my Separate thoughts about what I'd do if I was in charge of making a The Day The Night Slept The Album-ening of live a live.

ok so my Basic Idea is I'd let the show have a 13 episode (maybe 14? does that happen?) first season. I assume each of the first 7 chapters would need about 2 episodes, but I can see some that end in one like wild west or Definitely present day. I could also see some taking longer though, like distant future and near future. it'd even itself out I think to average to 2 episodes each.

it'd be an anthology series basically. a bunch of non-connected stories, but tied together by one key point. a narrator. see I have a Framing Device idea here and it's that we know odio from the very beginning, but never see his face or know who he is. this is very inspired by princess tutu here but here the stories are actively being Read by somebody outside of it, and occasionally he takes the reins to bend the retelling a bit, likely in the chapter boss' favor. note that while the anime is actually Playing and showing the characters, if the narrator does decide to kick in the characters will likely not be doing what he says they are, and they Definitely cannot hear him. it's an unreliable narrator story, but to the point where it's pretty easy to tell that he's biased. in practice how this probably would go would be like in princess tutu, occasionally when a character reaches a point that justifies his own philosophy in some way he'll cut in and monologue about The Nature Of Man Bringing Only Tragedy or whatever the fuck. also maybe cutting in to give the chapter villains some sympathy for the devil, maybe at the end to close each story out as he turns the last page? I dunno I don't want to be Too obvious but like. odio does sound pretty damn evil by default so maybe it'd be obvious anyway.

anyway! that's season one. anthology of short stories. on the final episode I'd leave it hanging on him picking up one last book or something, but I'd let that be told in either a short season (again, do these happen?) or a movie ??? anyway that would start out with the middle ages chapter, which I don't think will have any narration? I'm iffy on this? it'd be cool to see his retrospective thoughts on his own story but also, that's a bit heavy-handed, I'm not sure. anyway the thing is that around the end, when oersted breaks into his soliloquy at the archons roost. there I think we'd get a sort of cut-in, as halfway through our narrator starts reading it out himself. shut book camera pan Blonde Man Jumpscare I think that's the best way to go about the "oh shit the villain is the protag of that story" reveal. also it'd be fun. anyway that'd be either the beginning chunk or the first two? episodes?

from here I'm not Exactly sure how to frame it because all of the endings are Very important, but also kind of. happen at the same time? I do not know how to do this. the easy way would just be to have it remain anthology-ish, and have say the boss rush version of the dominion of hate be one story while the rest is another, but I don't think that fits into the framing device well. mm?? I have no idea. I think we're good without the bad ending of the dominion of hate happening as long as the "if you kill this dude you'll end up just as fucked as him" message gets conveyed in some way or another but I don't think we can skip the whole other version of the DoH.

maybe we can play it less as Actually Happening and more a what if scenario?? more odio just. Fucking Talking Alone Again about what Could be if not for Man's Folly^tm. I think that'd get the point across, be a good intro for the rest of the dominion of hate and stay in universe but it would Not have the added bonus of "ok you kicked around a bunch of jrpg protagonists now what. did that make you feel any better" unless we tried to hammer that home in a different way. and oh boy do I not have a single idea what to do with the armageddon ending. maybe instead just have him mention how if he and the other odios were Still denied he'd have the page burnt entirely or something. maybe at the end. shrugs. there's not a ton I can do here.

eh. anyway the actual dominion of hate would likely be more based in the protagonists than anything, likely picking a main character (Probably Akira) and not having a Narrator as much as just being in the mc's head from time to time. though I Do like the idea of odio still being there Attempting to nudge the protags and them being actually able to hear him this time, it'd have to be used infrequently. or not at all. there is a certain merit to them not knowing anything about him until getting to the archons roost but Us knowing a lot. I dunno. anyway I think this adaptation would have a lot more interactions between the protagonists (desperately needed) and I think that'd take up most of the runtime there, we can incorporate the trials if we want to (trial of heart is necessary to be sure but the rest really aren't, so it can be a good dungeon for the whole team to go through and have some more plot-motivated character moments) but I think Getting The Band Together might already take a good amount of time if we don't rush past good chances for character building or interaction. I want it to feel like the mcs Do actually start to be a team that is the thing I have the Most problems with about the game, though in doing so that will mean we're gonna have to do away with the 4 character party thing unless we want to have them split up sometimes. that's details. the point is that it's going to be All the mcs together most of the time and hopefully it doesn't feel crowded.

anyway from there it kind of goes as expected, except with the aforementioned (we don't need to have the bad ending be its own thing but we do need to mention the consequences). maybe somebody of the team Does try to grant oersteds wish before being held back or something. for similarities reasons I say oboro but this can be wiggled. anyway I also think around the actual Ending ending you'd get more than just one monologue from the mcs, you'd probably get more of like. an actual Conversation I guess? the mcs building off of each other's points to oersted? I dunno I'm spitballing here I do think it would Start Off with akira's ending though and then somebody scruffs him and continues off from there. I dunno the important thing is that everybody should get a word in or perhaps a hug in in the case of pogo. I think that's it though? I probably won't return to the plot device to show like another book being closed or whatever that is purely A Plot Device so it'd be weird to have it come back after oersted was Thoroughly Dead. I will say though if the live a live anime has an ED it's gotta have sin of odio in the A that's the law.

#live a live spoilers #That Was Long #anyway uh #i like ptutu #also if this was an anime i think id let lei be the final mc of the imperial china chapter #mostly for party balance (i trust the writers to not fuck up her character because Shes Girl)#but also because the way she relates to oersted is fun so i wanna keep that for the ending #i think the recruit order isnt Entirely relevant so id probably just go with whatever fits the game's pacing best #like if I were akira id probably start with trying to go to what looks most like it might be inhabited being the castle #and masaru and cube are good characters to pick up at the beginning anyway.#from there theyd probably go to the archons roost pick up oboro and realize the damn doors locked #so theyd then maybe pick up pogo along the way to brion and meet lei there. and then sundowns somewhere #i assume youd get like flashes of sundown through the whole thing. i personally like the thought of #akira/the team getting ambushed and whoever ambushed em just suddenly getting Shot from the shadows #and everybody else being ?????????#idk im spitballing here. sundown being the last to join but being Seen throughout makes the screentime balance a bit more even #though i dont like lei being so late in #i assume trial of heart would be after everybody had joined though so thatd be a little bit more time to get to know everyone #vee shut up #oh shit i just remembered u need cubes battery from the Brion Mountain #maybe akira would go to there earlier. i dunno. oboro being introduced later wouldnt be detrimental to him #hes pretty much what it says on the tin so it wouldnt be a total loss for him to miss some extra screentime

i have a sort of philosophical question that i'm curious about your thoughts on.

how do you think our human natures reconcile in heaven? i mean to say, i love my partner very much. obviously if we both make it to heaven, it'd be just dandy if we were there together, and where both of us are concerned, it just wouldn't be heaven if the other wasn't there. meanwhile, his mother is one boiled bunny away from a jocasta complex and to be quite frank, i don't really like her. she's not a BAD person, though, i just personally can't stand her--she threw a huge temper tantrum last week because her neighbor moved out and donated a bunch of furniture to charity, instead of letting her have a bunch of it for free, and then in the same afternoon continued to throw a fit because it was me and my partner's wedding anniversary the day before and we had gone to the cheese cave in waco and, to quote her, "how come you guys get to go and do stuff all the time? that's it, next time you go and do something fun like that, you're bringing me". (she also got mad at my partner on HER wedding anniversary, because he and i had been in san antonio at the zoo and she was pissed that he didn't do anything for her. for the record, he had sent flowers. she just wanted him to BE THERE. (i wasn't kidding about the jocasta complex)). so my point is--she isn't a BAD person, she's just kind of selfish (not a crime, doesn't make her a bad person) and i just can't stand her. but to her, it won't be heaven if she's not there with her son. to me, it won't be heaven if she IS there. and i won't be me if my personality is somehow re-written to find her tolerable, and she won't be her if she's somehow made to be appealing to be around.

so my question is, how do you think that all works? i've heard different ideas, that like, when you're in heaven, all of the worldly stuff will seem really petty and we'll all be able to see past all that and be happy with one another's company, but that still to me feels like a fundamental part of who we are is gone. almost like just being drunk or high for all eternity. i dunno. what do you think?

I've always felt that last bit "Not the God of the dead but of the living" muddies up the other bits before it and I'm sure there's some kind of academic types that have sussed out what they believe it means with that bit in there with very good points and everything.

I like to think we retain a good deal of our "self" but the sinful bits are stripped away, so we'll be fully embracing God's forgiveness not just for us, but for everyone else.

There's absolutely nothing we as humans can do to each other that doesn't pale in comparison to him in terms of sin, because Jesus took all of our sins into himself on the cross so everything awful any single person has done to you was taken in by him as well as everything else that person has done, provided they've sincerely asked for his forgiveness.

And since we've been saved and are no longer in sin up there, none of the offenses will ever happen again so even if we retain our sense of self the forgive and forget clause will be in play.

There's also the possibility of a "multiverse" type situation where everyone that should be in each of our heavens is in our heaven and the ones that shouldn't aren't, but carrying a grudge isn't something I see making its way to heaven so probably not that.

Chan smiles as soon as he hears his chicky approaching the door, rushing. He had let the other know he was on his way, so of course, the boy was doing his best to clean up the place.

"Merry Christmas, little chick~." The wolf chuckles as he walks in, San fixing his hair as he wishes the boy happy holidays too. The blonde takes a look around the place as he places down the gifts, humming more to himself than the other.

The first gift the wolf gives out is a box, quite big yet light. He explains– Vines are quite hard to maintain inside a house, aren't them? Especially during the winter.

"I saw these at a store. They look very fitting with your 'aesthetic', I think? They have lights and all, thought it'd look nice on your room or the little desk area.

That–, ah! Those are galaxies. They're wall ornaments. They have a map so you can build them up like whatever sky you want. Don't have to put them all up, of course, just thought they were fun. We have something similar at the cabin now, it's nice decor. Especially if you have a big empty wall.

That one, ha, I thought you'd like it. It's a set of paint by numbers sheets. They're ten. They're terribly huge, too. I could come over and help with those. It'd be nice to have something we can do together, don't you think? Other than watching movies and cooking. Which! Talking about, I got a new cookbook, only sweets. Wanna be my little test subject, chicky?"

Last but never least, there's a small envelope. Inside, bunches of little stickers. Chan explains he asked at a shop, something nice to use when journaling, something he knows San enjoys doing. He hopes they're nice enough!

Chuckling as the boy examines everything in depth, Chan rests back on the couch, deciding to spend a bit longer with his best friend before heading back to the cabin.

Behold, the little guys!!! I was just informed I would also have to take care of them as well because why wouldn't I have yet something else do to other than get myself set up. These are Mitling, Smobby, and Topour, don't know what they'll evolve into yet but I can always ask my Uncle if it comes up.

They have special abilities so let me explain them real quick:

Safe Haven basically means the less Mitling attacks, the better they can take a hit, because well it hides in its log until then.

Over Prepared means if you hand them a berry there is a good chance they will find a second one somewhere else but won't reveal that until it's already eaten the first one.

Speedy Hit is kinda a "fuck u" where when it gets faster it ALSO gets stronger. Have no idea how that works. That's gonna be a pain to deal with...

Behold!!! Edonia's starter trio! I'll discuss each of them one at a time. Before that the Trio theme is hard to give a single describing word for but I'll try my best. Mitling evolves into a Gardener, providing food and shelter (if the Pokemon is smaller then them) for people. Topour becomes a Lifeguard, actively going out and saving/helping people. Finally Smobby turns into a Park Ranger that educates people on controlled fires. I've explained this as community jobs/different ways of helping but idk.

So, Mitling is what happens when you smush a hermit crab and a fairy house together. I really liked the idea of a crab Pokemon having an intricate house on its back so I made it a starter because you find fairy houses in more woodland settings! The Gardener thing comes from me needing something to tie in the trio theming, and because Mitling is the more reserved of them I thought gardening would make a nice fit, plus rooftop gardens. Currently the house is a simply log that'll get fancier as it evolves. This is also the design I did last and was the most on edge about but I think it turned out well enough. Though it might be prone fot a redesign at some point.

Smobby I had a lot of difficulty deciding on the typing. I knew I wanted one of the starters to be based of Smokey the Bear, Cali's resident Forest Fire PSA, Buti didn't know which. Grass made sense because Park Ranger but then it'd be weak against fire when Smokey is meant to be fighting against forest fires, water was the next choice because water beats fire, and then we have fire type, the one I settled on. This was ultimately decided by my choice for Topour but my reasoning for it is that "Well not all fire is bad! Smokey's whole thing is preventing Forest fires by telling people about how to make safe fires!" So viola fire typing! Design wise Smobby is the simplest of the bunch just being a bear with some fire motifs slapped onto him. I plan on having some more fun with the middle and final stages however!

Topour was the first of the trio I designed, I wanted to make a roadrunner for the trip simply because I thought I'd be fun, I didn't know if I wanted them to be Fire or Water, fire with it being the idea of they run so fast they leave of a trail of fire behind them, and water being the idea of them running so fast they can run across water. I ended up liking the water idea better so here he is! I then came up with the Lifeguard thing because running on water would be very useful for saving people from drowning. I also tried making his little wings kinda look like a poncho, I plan on making it into a full on raincoat for the evolution :)

It had been a long evening working in Colson’s home studio, The Boulevard, with him and the gang on the upcoming Tickets to my Downfall album. To say your schedule was busy was an understatement, but Colson had insisted you get involved with the new material after the success of your work together on Hotel Diablo.

Composing music was your main gig, you had an ear for melody and your passion for writing meant you always had lyrics swirling around your head. You had a penchant for dark and melancholy lyrics, finding music to be a source of therapy for you. It was something you and Colson had instantly bonded over. He'd bugged you to list some of the stuff you'd written that he'd know and you had gained his professional respect immediately.

He always kept a close eye on your work, ever the supportive friend and had laid claim to your piece ‘Glass House’ as soon as he'd heard it.

2019

You were sitting crossed legged on the sofa in your lounge, gently strumming your guitar and gazing off into space and mumbling to yourself, as you worked out some lyrics in your head. Colson was lying on the floor by your feet, scrolling through his phone with earphones in, a blunt in his hand that he occasionally passed up to you. This was a common set up, you found it easier to write in the peace and quiet and Colson has gradually started hanging out at your place more when he needed to focus on his own writing.

"All alone in the glass house, lie awake til the sun's out, pink sky when you come down…"

"Throw me in the damn flames, Bury me in gold chains, throw me in the damn flames…"

You'd started singing out loud, occasionally stopping to scribble down lyrics and make adjustments, not noticing that Colson had removed his earbuds to listen to you

" Dude, that's hard, like, beautiful… " His comment made you jump slightly, you hadn't seen him propping himself up on his elbows, watching you intently "Sing that last bit again"

You blushed slightly, his opinion was always important to you, and started singing. He muttered to himself as you did, then pointed at you "Again!"

Letting out a little laugh and rolling your eyes, you sang again

"Throw me in the damn flames, bury me in gold chains, throw me in the damn flames"

Colson's voice met yours at the end of the line, rapping softly "I'm waiting on the rain to come and wash it all away"

You locked eyes, smiling and he sat upright. "Dude, Im'a need that hook! That spoke to me right there, I've think got something for it that I've been stuck on"

He looked so excited, your heart did a little flip. You'd seen that writing this album had taken it out of him, he'd been digging deep and really going through it emotionally. You could tell it was going to be raw and special from what you'd heard already.

He sat forward and moved the guitar from your lap so he could lean his arms on your knees and looked up at you shooting you puppy dog eyes with those baby blues "Pretty please Y/N"

You laughed and ruffled his hair, "Anything for you Col" Honestly, it'd be an honour to be part of such a personal project, you thought

He wrapped his arms round you and squeezed,

"You're a legend, kid. Get a sample recorded and send it to me!" He grabbed your guitar off the sofa and whipped back around, strumming a few chords as he carried on talking with his back to you, leaning against the sofa "This is gonna be fire, you always just hit the nail on the head, I swear it's like you're in my head sometimes"

You smiled, seeing the wave of motivation that had struck your friend. You felt so lucky to have a friend who was not only so inspiring, but one who 'got it', who understood that music was a form of release. Someone who recognised that it was important to feel these things, rather than encourage you to push dark thoughts away with toxic positivity.

He’d pushed to use your original samples on his record, but as much as you loved writing and singing, you were a behind the scenes kind of gal which had always suited you just fine. Naomi, a mutual friend of you both, came onboard to record them with him. A decision that turned out to be golden… 'Death in my Pocket' would be born not long after, with Naomi doing your lyrics such beautiful justice yet again, perfectly pairing with Colson's emotional rapping.

From then on Colson had kept you close to his recording. You'd been helping here and there with composition and notation, but your production skills were what was taking centre stage during the most recent sessions. You had a long list of projects you were working through, leaving you chained to your equipment most days and nights anyway so throwing more music into your workload didn't seem like much of a big deal. In all honesty, the chaos of Colson’s studio and the revolving door of personalities that were in and out constantly, made it one of the most fun places to be. You loved what you did for a living and it never really felt like work Even though the guys were a real handful at times, you kind of enjoyed being the studio 'Mami' as they often affectionately referred to you

Everything had wrapped up for the evening and the guys had migrated back into the house. You could hear from the raucous that the drinks must have started flowing freely. You were saving your work and packing up your stuff when Colson bursts back into the studio and throws himself in a chair, spinning it around with his arms in the air.

"You staying for drinks Y/N?" he grins at you, clearly hyper and in party mode

You let out a big sigh "Urgh, I'd love to but I have an early start tomorrow. I finally managed to get an apartment viewing. I swear I've looked at a hundred places now, they get snapped up so quickly.. I've only got a few weeks left on my lease as well"

“Ah, that sucks kid” Colson empathises, spinning his chair again before an idea strikes him “Wait! Why don’t you move in here for a bit until you find a place? The guest room is pretty much your room anyway, the amount you crash here”

You laugh “This is true, that mattress is so much better than mine! Aw Col, that would honestly be so helpful, the stress of finding a place when I’m this busy is killing me. I don't know… You sure the guys won’t mind?”

Colson scoffs “Why would they mind? You practically live here anyway” he teases “I’m sure they’ll be just as stoked as I am at the thought of you joining the madhouse for a while”

Before you have a chance to respond, he stands up and throws his arms around you, squashing you into him tightly “That’s it decided Roomie. Another song in the bag and a new housemate, plenty to celebrate tonight!”

Wriggling out of his tight grasp, you laugh and in a deep voice shout “let’s goooooo” mocking his signature catchphrase. He flips you his middle finger and says “Kitchen, now”

Once you’re in the kitchen, Colson heads to get you a drink and grabs one himself. Appearing back at your side, he passes you your beer and then shouts out to the rest of the group,

“YO, meet our latest housemate, Y/N is moving in. LET’S FUCKING GOOOOO”

Everyone in the kitchen lets out a big cheer, clearly pleased as he said they would be. Colson bends down and picks you up, swinging you around in a circle, spilling your drinks all over the both of you as you shout his name in mock annoyance, between giggles.

“I hope you know what you’re letting yourself in for” Rook laughs, clinking his drink against your now empty beer bottle once your feet are back on the floor

“It’ll be good to have another pair of hands around here, looking after you lot” Ashleigh chimes in, laughing and slapping Slim away as he pulls her hood up over her head, covering her eyes

It had been 5 years since you'd made the decision to move to LA, barely knowing a soul. You'd worked several jobs, jumped from place to place, worked your ass off to catch your break in the music business, sometimes feeling like the grind would never get you anywhere.

There had been times where you felt like you couldn't carry on, aching from trying to keep pace. The dream had felt like it was turning into a nightmare, as you tried to make ends meet, feeling so lonely in this enormous city.. but eventually you'd made these amazing friends who made you feel so safe and loved.

Now, there were times you had to pinch yourself just to make sure it was all real.

As you shake off some of the beer that's dripping from your hands, you look around the kitchen. Taking in the crazy, loveable bunch before you, your new housemates, you are filled with gratitude. You finally felt like you were exactly where you were supposed to be…
