Meet Michelle "Mitch" Walker - Y/n L/n's race engineer

She has been at Red Bull since 2020, but was an actual engineer for the cars. She graduated with a Masters in Engineering and interned under Adrian Newey. She is currently in her late-30's and not married.

She was a bit skeptical when she was told by Christian that she'd be a rookie's race engineer, but when she saw you and your times on the sim, she was hooked.

She can be seen wearing her favorite big sunnies during race weekends and carries her gray notebook everywhere she goes. As a part of a ritual, she always drinks an iced Americano before a race.

For future references, she stays Y/n L/n's race engineer until said racer retires. She will have served under two different team principals by the end of her carrier (but I'm not saying who the second is hehe).

Meet Vito Accardi - Y/n L/n's manager

Vito had been a part of an organization of people who lend out unofficial managers to younger racers who don't already have one. He was assigned to Y/n L/n in 2018 when she first joined F4. He, like most people, thought that she had raw talent and he wanted to stay with her.

Fast forward to 2019 and F3, Vito was officially Y/n L/n's manager, hired by her godfather Lorenzo. He has no plans to leave anytime soon.

He has a Public Relations Degree along with degree in Business. On the side, he runs his own line of go karts. He has mentioned that he was only able to start it due to the kindness of Y/n and Lorenzo.

For further references, Vito stays with Y/n until her retirement. After that, he ends up being asked to be godfather of her second child. Of course he agrees and tears are shed.

Lorenzo had been Y/F/N L/n's best friend growing up after meeting at boarding school, but distanced himself after he saw how awful he truly was. Only came back into his life after the birth of Y/n. Surprisingly, he was named godfather and he took that to heart.

Being a major business man and influential figure in karting and Formula racing, he couldn't possibly be near the girl all the time. But after finding out what you had been going through, he wishes that he would have fought for custody. Maybe then you could have grown up with other kids such as Logan Sargeant, Oscar Piastri, Mick Schumacher, and Arthur Leclerc. But, he couldn't dwell on the past.

Everyone thought he was pretty poor as he didn't like to flaunt his wealth everywhere, but they were wrong. Pretty much one of the wealthiest persons the time of his death.

Gave Y/n L/n a second chance at karting and formula racing as he fought for sponsors to agree on the younger girl (most said no due to age and gender, but he never gave up).

Late in 2019, he caught pneumonia, which turned into a fatal respiratory tract infection. He died in early 2020 after falling into a coma. The only person to ever show up was Y/n L/n

I really need to talk about this for a moment because it's important not only to break some biased opinions on certain fandoms but also as a whole characterization for Stephen.

I mean, I'm on Twitter, it's hell everyday. But in particular there's this habit of certain X-stans of jumping into certain groups' throats like the F4 and the Avengers. And there are indeed... takes that make me believe some people don't actually read the stories. A common one is always accusing this or that character of siding with or supporting Orchis, the anti-mutant group responsible for the genocide in Krakoa and the mutants' current illegal status on Earth.

I don't have the total picture/knowledge of the aforementioned groups, despite knowing they are heroes and thus would never fight alongside fascists (no matter how hard Bendis wanted them indeed to look like fascists in CW I and II). But I can and will speak on Stephen's behalf. And these people will never have anything to support this biased idea that every non-mutant hero is against mutants, especially when it comes to the Sorcerer Supreme. He has helped them MANY times, including moments of conflict between humans and mutants (or inhumans and mutants or whatever). Point is, at least, Stephen is safe. I wish I didn't have to make this kind of post since it's pretty obvious that Stephen vowed to protect all lives, has practically a daughter figure in Illyana and fully supported Wanda when she still was a mutant. And yet, here we are.

Stephen has broken the law before (New Avengers v1 post Civil War, Civil War II, Cates' run when he worked as a veterinarian, when he stole a whole dinner table from a hotel to feed the homeless in Defenders v1 etc). The truth is, he does not care if it means to help people. He's not afraid of it. And I'm always glad to have canon proof of that.

The "I stand with my cancelled wife" jokes are just as funny as the driver's misogynistic jokes too (meaning not funny at all). Big difference between saying that when a driver is being "cancelled"/hated on for some on-track incident versus when they've actually said/done something wrong personally and should be held accountable. (This obviously isn't directed at you personally, but God I'm trying so hard to be patient with some of my Ricciardo-supporting mutuals and friends right now but like .... seriously. Do parasocial relationships go so deep that we're condoning and defending misogyny now)

look, there are many times Lewis has done shit where I've been like jesus christ bloke stop it. and I have been a Lewis stan since he was in British F4. right now there are multiple things I want to shake him about but I also appreciate he is just his own problematic little guy and my love for him can't control that.

sometimes you have to admit your faves are not the perfect daddies fanfic makes them. that's the point of rpf - it's fiction. there feels like there's been a huge line crossed where the idea of some drivers has become more cannon than what they actually are.

wouldn't it be nice if the tattooed, wise (??), 34 year old was a great daddy. he err, isn't. he's dating someone much younger and who is also singularly immersed in motorsport. that's not a judgement call - I just think people need to be realistic about who these boys date and it's a pool of like 15 girls in Monaco and maybe a few other models. sorry to ruin your reader x driver fic but they're uhhhhh deeply basic.

I think JQ’s issue is he has a fandom filled with 40 year olds who don’t understand how stan culture works amongst 15-25 year olds. His fans will tweet the cringiest and dumbest shit akin to stuff your mom posts on Facebook and then wonder why people are laughing at them and at him 💀 especially when they decide they wanna go toe to toe with other fanbases. That never works out for them.

now that he’s getting more attention again and is going more mainstream with all his new movies, his stans are still tweeting dumb shit and then crying when he gets attacked. they never learn their lesson

Maybe with F4 he’ll actually look young and his fanbase will be younger? Cuz he looks grandpa now. Maybe that’s the appeal with the older crowd?

I'm mostly obsessed with Thai BLs at the moment, but I do want to diversify, so what are the top recommendations for Korean, Japanese and Taiwanese? I don't like too much angst or conflict. As in, I could barely get through series like Theory of Love and Never Let Me Go.

Your BL linguistics and honourifics posts helped me a lot when I was but a newbie in this world. Ah, good times. Anyways. What I wanted to ask is, taking inspiration from, and with (credited) reference to your posts, can i make a post of my own? It will only be on Thai. I just want to compile all the things I've learnt so far.

I was sniffing around MyDramaList (for reasons) and found Water Boyy. Is it worth watching? Also, Boys over Flowers (F4 version). I really don't want to watch het romance unless it's really, really good.

You don't have to answer this, it's just for my own curiosity. I'm thinking of making a EarthMix TharnType AU with role reversal. So far I have Mix as Tharn, Earth as Type (yes, i got the idea from Love by Chance), Tay or New as Thorn (Tong is so much better as Tankhun. Also, in this, Thorn is also ver gay, hence TayNew), Love or Film as Thanya, and of course, the crowning gem, Neo Trai as Techno. Question is, who should I cast as Lhong (better if its GMMTV since i know them best, but other agencies are also good.)

Last but definitely not least, I respect you a lot. And i love your blog. Irrelevant, but I wanted to ask, how was today's Boss and Babe (ep. 4)?

1a. I'm mostly obsessed with Thai BLs at the moment, but I do want to diversify, so what are the top recommendations for Korean, Japanese and Taiwanese?

Sure thing. Read the descriptions of my top 10, they will let you know how soft the different dramas are. (I like soft and sweet a lot myself, so there are always many in there).

This one needs to be updated, I added quite a few more to my 9/10 list for Korea since then. But with Our Dating Sim and The New Employee this year is going to require it to be updated AGAIN. (Both highly recommended for your needs)

1b. I don't like too much angst or conflict. As in, I could barely get through series like Theory of Love and Never Let Me Go.

NO. Avoid all versions. It's terrible. I mean, if you are completest you have to but otherwise... NO.

I am sorry to all the stans out there, but I LOATHE this franchise. I've watch a number of them, always hoping a new remake will make it palatable. NO. I hate all of them. All the worst tropes of a reverse harem. I am intersted (like Twilight) in understanding WHY it's so popular but personally, it gives me the disgust willies. Yech.

This is why I want it gay. Would that make it palatable?

I suppose the one form Laos is the only one I even kinda enjoyed and it is by far the worst production values. I gave it up 1/2 way through. I think I watched 3 eps of F4. No thank you.

Honestly if you want this kind of het toxicity, I think Heirs is a better version of these tropes. Also it's legacy Kdrama so will tell you a lot abouy that industry and what toxic tropes they love (and still employ) even in their BL.

4. who should I cast as Lhong?

W.I.T.C.H - now i'm not gonna pretend to be the biggest fan but this used to be THE show for me before WINX came along and i'll always pride myself on being a witch girlie first and winx girlie second (the "not like other girls" syndrome began very early on for me); their powers, the visuals, the adventures combined with the daily struggles of teen girls, the boyfriends, the intro song omg, there is sm about this show, the countless books, the og comic.. good stuff <3

Lovely Complex - my first anime iirc, i wish people would pay attention to it (but also i'm the only one who's allowed to get it, y'know); only a young romantic towering over her classmates could have the chance of understanding my feelings for it

Hana Yori Dango - broooo- bro. this show was made for my basic romantic ass, it was my first asian drama (or one of the first), it introduced me to Matsumoto Jun, had me hooked for two seasons (though im pretty sure i binged the second season and movie in 24 hours, long after i had watched the first season..? idk what that was about)

i am of the opinion f4 thailand did best in many ways but this will forever be THE adaptation in my heart. the songs were unmatched, the drama breathtaking (there are so many cliches that i didn't know were cliches back then lol) and the experience surreal. i'll always treasure this questionable classic 💖

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? - i enjoy this an unreasonable amount - my country's edition, that is; i just like having it in the bg and being a smartass, sometimes i run my mouth off so confidently and proceed to apologise to the tv when the contestant turns out to have been right lol

Weekly Idol - hear me out on this - aside from all of its issues, the show has always been my way of finding more about groups. especially back in 2015, those low quality episodes on yt helped me so much with getting into kpop; it can be very hit-or-miss but i have so many faves; many artists have been on multiple episodes throughout the years and yet show something entertaining every time. you can find new groups to stan through the mixed episodes and learn more about the members of groups you're already interested in (though for that i also rec individual shows like gose, wanteez, monsta x-ray etc.). i'm especially excited for eunkwang and minjoo as the new hosts, they are so funny on their own and i want to see their dynamic so bad

Pride & Prejudice - i've watched this just once but i can't not appreciate the accuracy to the book (except for the iconic lake scene lmao) and it covers british tv, 90s shows, austen books and period dramas all at once - all things i enjoy

Bridgerton - i had a whole piece written bout this but simply put - season 2 and kathony were a Thing for me. got me researching and binging a bunch of jonathan shows, reading most of the book and a bunch of tumblr posts..even looking through gifs now im going feral, i love them

New Girl - i usually play shows like this in the bg but i found myself paying a lot of attention and actually losing it laughing so many times, also nick and schmidt are the most precious intense bromance i've witnessed in fiction

Someone said on Twitter, mind you, they're a JQ mega stan, so I don't know if it's true or just wishful thinking. That the entire cast of F4 is going to be at San Diego Comic-Con. So idk, maybe that will be his last one of the year. Idk if he even has time for something like that. Also, Marvel stans are a lot more intense than his normal con crowd and he didn't seem to enjoy those groups IMO, so I can only imagine how he will be with a bigger and diff crowd of fans. Maybe he'll be stoked bc he's with the rest of the F4 cast.

correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that the cast going to San Diego comicon they wouldn’t be standing in a booth all day and signing autos and taking pictures. Is that right? Because I always thought it was like the ones who were there to promote a new movie go to a panel and that’s it

I Want to Scream

Just went to an art exhibition and I saw a 2001 piece, don't remember by who. It was a cabinet and other furniture pieces that was covered in old paper, over which a white geometric pattern was painted. It wasn't particularly ugly or anything, I'd describe it as thoroughly meh.

Why do I want to scream? One of the paper pieces the artist used was a 1960s Fantastic Four comic. He took this old comic, ripped it apart, and plastered pages to his mediocre art piece. A 60 year old comic, a Jack Kirby and Stan Lee comic, destroyed. And not a single mention of this in the blurb, just that the artist used "comic books" in their mixed-media piece.

The elitism just pisses me off. This artist destroyed this comic because he didn't care about it. This piece of history. Then he sold his shitty mixed media piece for thousands of dollars and the art world praised him for it. Explain to me how this boring and unoriginal sculpture is more worthy of praise than Lee and Kirby's hard work.

It really pisses me off how comic books are looked down upon. Lee and Kirby's F4 run was a game changer. It shook up the comics industry and in doing so paved the way for shakeups to American culture as a whole. Kirby was an incredible artist who's art is beautiful and dynamic and so creative, and Lee... well, was perhaps not as brilliant a writer, but was a hell of an idea man! But, of course, because their comics were written for kids, because they're pop culture, because they aren't serious (read: expensive and exclusive) enough, nobody cares.

I want to find that artist and smack him in the face for destroying a piece of history like that, especially one that's so important and meaningful to me and a lot of people. Unfortunately that wouldn't un-destroy the comic and, besides, this is a systemic problem, a problem of classism being entrenched in the traditional art scene.

Not just Rain but a Raging Storm

Episode 1 review!

Okay first, I gotta admit, the names of the characters (Rain, Payu - which I now know means Storm) and the name of the episode has me giddy with excitement okay? That's soo smart? I love a good wordplay!

I saw a lot of posts on Instagram and Tumblr where people commented on the intro being too long and unnecessary, but I think that it actually added to the mystery and the vibe of the whole episode? I think they started off great by setting the mood right- the timestamps, vehicles being transported, illegal race? (they gave us an insight straight into Payu’s world!)

Plus we also get to see Rain and Sky (two pure little beans) be all stupid. I stan besties-who-share-one-braincell!

Okay so woah, our cute little bean gets caught in an illegal race and the first thing that he can think of to say is “I live around here and heard a noise?” See this is exactly why cute little things like him will get eaten by the big bad wolf. My boy has no braincells does he? C’mon Rain you gotta tell me now, how exactly stupid are you and how many times am I going to run a hand down my face, shaking my head in frustration?

So, this what they mean by “Raging Storm?” Look how pissed Payu looks here:

Oh yes, even I’m wondering what an ordinary boy like you is doing here Rain, care to start from the beginning?

So cute little Rain meets the big bad wolf on a rainy night? (Is this a co-incidence that the night he happens to meet Payu its literally raining buckets? - almost like a storm coming in? - the boy is doomed)

Oh, look how sweet and thoughtful Rain is!! So qualities of Rain collected so far: Little bean that’s gonna mess up my emotional balance, cheeks to die for and so so kind!) No wonder Payu does a double take at this little bean being kind to him in the rain.

Damn! He really gave Rain his helmet to hold so our baby can feel useful too! I love considerate men! (nods nods). Why am I getting a feeling that Rain will never learn anything about cars and just keep making Payu rescue him?

Not in the first 10 mins of the episode! C’mon!!!

Isn’t Sky so damn relatable??? We all deserve a bestie who calls us out on our shit okay?

Yes, pls keep on being so goddamn relatable SKY! (Expressions so on point - 10/10 would recommend)

Okay so turns out our little bean is the only one who doesn't know who Payu is? Even though he is like super famous? (okay this is very cliché but hey, I’m not complaining…okay maybe I’m. I just find it unbelievable)

Wow, one of the best entries I have seen of a lead. This is one of the things I really look forward to when its the first episode, the entry often gives an idea of the power the characters are gonna hold. I mean F4 Thailand? That was one heck of a powerful entry! (Also BrightWin)

He really sells the whole package here doesn’t he? Look at his cute little pony!

Oops okay okay. Yes Rain messed up here alright? But also hear me out. He is already jealous of a man he has never met, who his crush is crushing on - am I making sense? Give the man a chance to be salty over it? Obviously doesn’t excuse what he said, we have all said things without thinking them through and although it was wrong of Rain to word it this way, I will not hold it against him!

And they meet again? Just like that? At the frat dinner? and look at Payu not recognising Rain - like c’mon are u serious? Look at the heartbreak on little Rain's face! Are we really going to pretend now? (like that weird hand caress in the rain just did not happen?) Okay okay Payu- if that's the way u wanna go

Wow, Rain really is unlucky with cars isn’t he? and looooook who hears him, crying over his goddamn car again? Why do I get a feeling Payu was actually waiting for a chance to rescue the damsel in distress? All of this looks so fishy and look its freaking raining again like there’s going to be a storm? This cannot be a coincidence?

Also - he did not just say that to my pure innocent little bean?

That desperate hand hold! Someone certainly did notice. Yes I’m looking at you Payu! You certainly liked Rain clinging to you asking for help!

This escalated way too quickly for me…what is even happening omg!

Okay yes, I do gotta admit Payu is right here. Rain did come off as a little desperate and I remember cringing - so case well rested Payu

Okay Payu your Dom is showing, slow down a little bit pls

Now, do u wanna know how many times I have replayed this scene? An embarrassing amount of time! But look at Payu being all cocky and Rain with his “caught in the headlights” look, man even forgot he was about to leave! hahahaha

Awww look at how cute frustrated Rain looks and that forehead crease! Sky is so done with his dumb dumb best friend!

And Sky having to deal with rain’s emotions (wait why are the characters named sooo perfectly? Sky literally has to deal with Rain’s moods? this is crazy)

And now he has to go back to collect his car from the garage. How does a man forget about his car? Omg. Am I the only one who kinda finds it unbelievable when characters forget about their cars? I know I fucking wouldn't (Is it just my broke ass talking?)

A kitty who tries to go against a tiger? Sky knows exactly whats going on and he is NOT holding back!

Payu fixed Rain’s car himself? O-K-A-Y. The man’s worried about his boy being stuck in the rain again. Like we know he wouldn’t drop everything to go fix Rain’s car again!

Also am I the only one who finds the mechanic guy creepy? Okay Mr-creepy-smile-mechanic. We get your point.

And that’s the end. Man what a ride. For the first episode, the story progressed way too fast. I mean c’mon what were the chances of Rain ending up in Payu’s bed in the first thirty minutes of the first goddam episode. Whatever I had in mind, I certainly hadn’t expected that.

However, the plot has progressed good. The characters, their personality, vibes are all soo on point (and yes I’m certainly talking about Sky’s constant I’m-so-done-with-this-boy look)

I haven’t started watching Episode 2 yet and the preview tells me its gonna be another roller-coaster ride!! I need a break from their fierce chemistry and their intense eye contact!

Spoilers for MOM:

Not going to lie, I was side eyeing the screen when MCU!Wanda asked Reed if his kids had their mother and basically went "Oh well, killing you won't have much of an impact because at least they'll have their mom, losing their dad won't hurt at all" and then seeing her stans cheer her on. Like...what logic- And then it felt super shady how, Reed is asked about his kids and family-to shine more light on F4 movie coming, gotta get that cameo aye Marvel?-who, I mean guess we should care about even though their prescence is really nonexistent in this verse, but Maria doesn't get that same "justice", even when we as the audience know she has a daughter, Monica, who we have seen, not only as a character, but also grieve over the loss of her mom-which will happen again considering MOM. But MCU!Wanda stans really expect me to cheer her on just because she was "fighting for her kids?" Not in my world, nope.
