The Bet
You were looking at yourself wearing his red and blue jersey in the mirror rolling your eyes when you saw him standing against your bedroom door.
"Hm...you look good in it muñeca...I always knew you were my biggest fan" Gavi said cockily as you flipped him off passing by and hitting his shoulder 'by accident'. As much as you liked his sister, you HATED Pablo Gavi! What an asshole!!!
"You just have to gloat cabrón!?" Aurora said seeing her little brother shamelessly checking out your ass in that tight shorts while following towards the car to get to the stadium. Damn he wanted to smack it so bad!
"I'll sit in the back!!!" Gavi said seeing that you were already sitting there on your phone groaning the moment he sat besides you.
"How about we make a bet muñeca? Hm...If I win tonight, then you let me kiss you" he moved closer resting hi chin you your shoulder whispering into your ear so nobody else hears the secret little plan.
"Hah like you're gonna win!" you said purposefully trying to anger him although deep down you were a Culé and cheered with full heart for Barça.
"You willing to bet on it princesa???" he said and you felt your legs close at the new nickname...he never used it before...it felt strangely good. Damn it Gavira!!!
"Fine! Deal!" you say reaching and he grabbed your hand shaking it firmly but then brining it to his lips kissing it mischievously as you blushed hating yourself for it!!! Damn it Gavira!!!
"Capullo!" you said moreso shyly then angrily and he caought onto it smirking and nodding his head with a wink.
"Hm...I did mean it...you look sooo good in my jersey" he said right before exiting the car and you couldn't believe you were already there all you could think is your made bet with Pablo.
Throughout the game, Barça was struggling hard remaining 0:0 and you could tell that Pablo was growing more and more frustrated. He even protested to the ref and got himself a yellow card but little did you know it was because he wasn't going to kiss you.
"Vamos! HIjo de puta! We need to run more!!!" Pablo was yelling at his teammates and Pedri walked up to him to check what got his friend so rowdy.
"We will get them hermano! Just calmate!" Pedri said but Pablo was unable to stop thinking about losing an opportunity to kiss you...he was so ready...and he knew you were too. Damn it!!!
"We need to win! We must win!!" Pablo was freaking out and Pedri grabbed his head holding it against his to check what the hell was going on.
"Que pasa contigo!!?" Pedri yelled and Pablo pulled back pushing him off making everyone surprised since Pedri was always the only person able to calm him down.
"Just run more!!! Vamos!!!" he yelled as the game continued.
When Araujo scored in the last minte, you all cheered loudly until you sat back down playign with the edges of Pablo's jersey all of the sudden feeling very nervous. You excused yourself to the bathroom.
"Congrats hermano! What an intense game!" Aurora and Javi were there with him cheering him on but all Pablo cared about was seeing your face right now that he won...hm and the kiss you owed him.
"Where is she!??" Pablo asked looking around like a madman and his sister chuckled saying that you went tot he bathroom. Pablo ran off towards the bathrooms immediatelly as Pedri walked to his fmaily confused.
"Que pasa con el?" Pedri asked Aurora who was smirking secretly hearing the little bet that was going on in the car. She always knew this 'hate' relationship was a little bit more. She explained it to Pedri.
"Ah that's why he was acting like a cabrón the whole game???" he commented shaking his head and smirking at his friend's sudden change.
You were putting on some lip balm feeling super nervous wondering weather he was really serious about kissing you and unsure how you feel about it. You sighed knowing you can't hide in here forever about to walk out but hitting you nose into someone's strong chest.
"There you are muñeca! I won!!" Pablo said proudly as you looked up at him this time unable not to stare longer on his swelled lips...damn they looked tasty!!! Damn it Gavira!!!
"I know." was all you said about to casually walk away acting cold but Pablo's strong arms already found their way around your waist holding you tightly as you looked back up at him innocently. Damn you were driving him crazy with those eyes always!!!
"Hm. I'm owed something princesa...a reward for winning tonight" he smirked and you were blushing more by each passing moment and he grabbed your jaw pulling you in and crashing his lips on yours passionately.
The moment you combined together everything felt right and you both moved naturally on instinct grabbing onto each others hair, clothes, sides making out like you were the only two people on earth...it was incredible!!!
"F,,Fuck...I want more..mmm...p..please give me more princesa" Pablo was moaning into your mouth while grabbing your ass roughly and pulling you towards the secluded area while gluing your back against the wall.
"P..Paablo..not..h..here" you were a moaning mess enjoying every moment of his hands on your body but realizing that this was a public place after all.
"Hm...you were such a bad girl...princesa muy mala always making me so angry...and when we get home, I'm going to punish you soo good..hmm toda mia!!!" he whispered while leaving marks all over your neck before giving you his jacket zipping it up so nobody sees them. He grabbed your hand not caring whose watching while walking back to the parking lot to meet the other.
"That took long!" Aurora said but Pablo obviously made up a story how he couldn't find you so easily. Everyone saw right through his attempt to cover up his ass but nobody cared to mentioned it..he was a winner tonight.
"You sleeping over at ours hermanita???" Aurora asked from the front seat and you were not sure what to say but then feeling Pablo's rough grasp on your thigh.
"Mmm..ahh..yeah if that's alright???" you ask and she nodded continuing to chat with Javi.
"You can't touch me like that when she's here cariño..." you whisper feeling his hand moving upwards but you crossed your legs trapping it there cause he wouldn't move. Stubborn! Damn it Gavira!!!
"Hm..cariño? That's new...I like it princesa" he smirked as you blushed when he left a quick peck on your neck where his bruise decorated your skin.
"And I can touch you whenever I care...porque eres today mia" he whispered the last part and you felt your panties dampen as you closed them tighter around his hand making him smirk.
"Here is the guest room, you have everything clean in the closet hermanita" Aurora told you and you smiled nodding your head looking towards Pablo nervously. He seemed like he had no care in the world.
"Good night Rora, Javi...um Pablo" you said about to turn away but Pablo smirked going back to his teasing self...he couldn't resist in the moment.
"Good night princesa...sweet dreams" he said earning a chuckle from Aurora and a blush from you before walking inside and closing the door.
Just when you started to slip into sleep did you feel a bed dip as Pablo snuck underneath your covers cuddling against you and covering your mouth with his hand.
"Shhh it's just me princesa...relax" he said when I tried to fight back but stopped after hearing those words.
"Estas loco!? What if someone walks in?" you say turning in his arms and he tucked a piece of your hair behind your ear admiring your beautiful face even when it was angry like this.
"Hm...I missed you princesa...craved you" he leaned in kissing your lips long making your hands instinctively reach for his curls and pull on them in response. He defiantly knew how to handle you. Damn it Gavira!!!
"Hhmm...don't torture me Pablo...p..please" you said feeling so needy that you might explode if he kept teasing you like this.
"Hmm I know I've said I wanted to punish you for being bratty with me over the years...but tonight, I just want to enjoy you princesa...all of you" he whispered into your ear licking it a little and making you moan softly which was muffled by his mouth.
"I've locked the door behind me...just be quiet for me like a good girl, bueno???" he said and you nodded feeling him moving underneath the covers kissing down your stomach before pulling off your pajama shorts slowly.
"So wet for me princesa...ahhh..tan perfecta" he spoke kissing your panties a few times sending your mind into oblivion.

Hello! Very specific request. I have a job at a Themepark, basically I work as a Disney princess there (aurora). Its for children to sort of meet their Disney role models, favorite prince/princess. I read them stories, take pictures with them, etc. Could you sort of do a headcanon-esque scenario of how the gom will react to a partner with such a job? So I was up from 12am to 5am reading ACFTL and I honestly can't believe that it's over now. Like my brain can genuinely not wrap my head around it. The book I have been waiting for months. The series I've been reading since it was only ouabh. I honestly can't believe it's done now.
So these are just my thoughts on acftl: (SPOILERS BTW)
So I want to start with things I didn't like because I like to end things on a more positive note:
● There was a lot of potential for other things that Stephanie has hinted to in the past (just basically a lot of unanswered questions) that I can't simply believe isn't anything bigger:
> "too familiar nickname" when Jacks called her Little Fox for the first time. This had the potential to be something really big, but the fact that Eva has no connection to the fox is just leaving me confused (as in being the first fox or a reincarnation). Like how. Especially when it was heavily hinted to in the past.
> "heavier than an apple should've been" when Jacks threw an apple at Eva in ouabh. I don't understand what this was supposed to mean if it just ended up being nothing. Like why did it have to be mentioned
> An Evajacks wedding was heavily hinted to in ouabh (even the reverse dust jacket for bn acftl). I just would have liked to see that.
● For me, some of the plot points just felt very disconnected and not linked, to the point where it felt like just random things being stringed together. Like it felt like things were just happening, as if I was reading different books at the same time.
● Acftl kinda feels like after tbona, Stephanie went online and saw everyone's theories and aimed to do the exact opposite. Sometimes I felt so confused because it felt like random facts and points were just thrown at me. Or this felt like this was the original version that Stephanie wrote.
●Why was time personified constantly?
●Where was my boy, Luc? I love him and I missed him so much. I was waiting for him to pop up on the page or make a creepy/funny appearance ("Hello, Eva" - I always laughed when he pulled stuff like this).
●Even though she's not relevant, where was Marisol? You can't tell me she just disappeared. I would have just liked to know what happened to her.
●Aurora's role felt so random.
●The whole thing about Jacks's curse felt to simple and barely touched on.
●I would have liked a better answer on Jacks’s obsession with apples. Like I understand it was left like that on purpose but it would have been nice.

●I would have liked the return of Scarlet and Tella. They were the ones who sent Evangeline to the Magnificent North. It would have been nice to see them after all of that and Jacks and Tella could have gotten some sort of closure.
●I love how everyone was hell-bent on the fact that apollo is lysander. The fact that everyone believed Apollo was Lysander started to make me doubt it. When Lysander appeared on the page, I was surprised tbh.
● Tbona established their clear feelings for each other and acftl was them just accepting it.
●Anyways I need domestic evajacks. Like 20 chapters. The bonus epilogues healed me.
My theories that were actually right: ●Tiberius slashing Apollo’s back
●Aurora having some type of magic and being the true villain. I was so sure that she was obsessed with Jacks and placed the Archer's curse.
~"My turn" if you know, you know. Something I never knew I needed. And I need more. There is never such thing as too much Evajacks.
Me having mixed feelings about acftl hurts so much because I've been waiting for this book for so long (I've been reading this series since it was only ouabh). I haven't been able to wrap my head around the fact that this is the official book. Ouabh and Tbona were soo amazing. They were so magical and fairytale like and I cried after I finished acftl, not just because the series was over (because I did) but because it didn't live up to the expectations I had and the high standards that ouabh and tbona set.
This series will always and forever be the series I go back to when I'm sad. Regardless of how it ended, I loved it because Stephanie created a new definition of magic and fairytale for me.

Fun fact: I didn't knew what Helena name meant, when I searched for it, it matched with the title I had already given to the fic :)
Summary: Your babygirl is finally here
After the Gender Reveal, all people surrounding you have been over the moon, including you and Pablo, passing from calling it 'It' or 'Baby' to 'She/Her', coming up with names but never getting one, Pablo already had a nickname for her, her aunties, uncles, godfather and even grandparents (Both by blood and by choice/heart) have bought almost every single pink article of clothing, bib, everything, you name it, possible.
They forgot the fact they had already purchased her, a lot of things.
"She's not even born" You began folding her clothes, you already had eight piles of it "and I think I'm gonna have to give a few of these away to others"
"What? Why?" Pablo asked from besides you, looking up from his laptop
"I have already seen the same 'I'm aunties little girl' onesie five times" You look at him, said onesie in your hand showing it to him. He smiled without showing his teeth recognizing the gift as Aurora's one.
"I helped her get that one" You give him a look
"Helena already has that one" You say "In fact, she has other four like that but in different color"
"Just in case she doesn't like the other colors" You narrowed your eyes at him "Also, she's Paula"
"Helena sounds better" You defend
"I like Paula"
"Pablo, I won't put my baby girl your name in femenine!" He laughed hard at that
"I'm just kidding!" He closed his laptop "Helena's beautiful and it has a beautiful meaning" You smiled seeing him sit on the bed, back against the headboard as he grabbed you by the waist and kissed your 34 weeks tummy. Your shining light.
You gasped feeling her kick, you could never get used to it, it was something amazing and her unique way of letting you know she was also there, that she was good, uncomfortable with any x given position, in the convo and in your lifes too.
Even though she hereditated her dad's hard kick and sometimes hurted you a bit, you loved it.
You moved Pablo's hand towards where she was making herself known watching him smile
"You like Helena, little princess?" He asked speaking softly into your tummy leaving some kisses there with a smile on, seconds later, she kicked as you both smiled at each other widely "Helena is it, then"
Two nights after that, you had a bit of trouble while sleeping, she was moving around a lot and no matter what position you got into, it wasn't enough for her
"C'mon, Lena" You whispered "Mommy's tired" You carressed your lower tummy careful of not disrupting Pablo's sleep but failing.
"Something's wrong?" You heard your husband whisper, voice hoarse still filled with sleep "Can I help you in anything?" You hissed stopping your movements, Pablo instantly woke up "C'mon, mi vida. Let's get you up" Pablo stood up inmediately grabbing your hands and pulling you up
"She's being difficult tonight" You managed to say in between breaths. You were feeling an inmense amount of pain in your lower tummy and lower back too.
You took a deep breath feeling the pain knock it out of your lungs, you tried to calm down and take those deep breaths in and slow breaths out just like your mom and Belén had told you to.
"Amor?" You heard Pablo's voice at distance even though he was centimeters away from you, then you felt it.
You felt water run down your thighs and more pain came in
"Did you just-?" You nod humming cutting him off, your hands gripping his tightly "Joder, me cago en la-"
"Pablo" You said warningly taking deep breaths
"What should I do?" He asked you as you gave him a look still trying to breathe properly "Ok, ok! Don't worry, wait here, I'm gonna search for the keys" You nod humming one more time, not really taking in his words you were just keen on making the pain go away.
He left running as you stabilized yourself in your beside table
"Amor, c'mon, let's go" He came back pulling a hoodie of his over your almost naked frame
That's the little story of how you ended up in the hospital two hours later at 5.30am
"It hurts" You cracked out a bit before letting out air
"I know, mi vida, I know; I'm sorry" He kissed your hairline softly "Wish I could take your pain away" He was sat next to your bed, holding his hand tightly in yours "She'll be here soon" You smiled a bit
"She will" You closed your eyes a bit hissing as another contraction hit you "Our parents?" You tried to take your mind away from the pain
"Mine are on their way here along with Au and Javi, yours the car didn't start, they are waiting for you brother to pick them up" You nod "I already called the guys, Pedri and Baldé are here, they're on the waiting room"
"That really sweet of them" You smiled lightly
"Yes it is. Would you like to see them?"
"Later" You took a deep breath already feeling tired "Not a fan of people looking at me while I'm looking awful"
"You're not looking awful at all" Pablo said shaking his head inmediately "You're looking extremely beautiful, more than you always do. You're about to give birth to our babygirl, bring a new life. You're absolutely gorgeous and I love you so much" You smiled feeling another contraction "Feeling okay?" You nod
You spent seven hours more like that, by the time it was due for Helena to come into the world, everyone was inside the room. The guys, your girl friends and families.
"Señora Páez" The doctor came inside with a smile "Ready to bring your little one into this world?" You nod excited as everyone left the room
"Want you here" You whispered to Pablo
"I wasn't going to leave you, mi vida" He kissed your forehead grabbing your hand tightly
"What if I can't do it?" You asked being afraid watching the nurses and the doctor get everything and preparing themselves
"Don't say that. You can and you will do this. You are the strongest woman I've ever met in my whole life, you can do absolutely everything. I love you" He kissed you softly on the lips "You're about to bring the most beautiful thing ever into our lives, mi amor. I trust you, I know you can do this, preciosa"
"Ready?" The doctor asked
"Pablo"
"Get ready, mi amor. I'm here with you. Let's become parents"
When you heard those words come out from his mouth, you pushed, pushed and pushed with your everything. You were going to be a mom, you have waited for this moment ever since you found out of your pregnancy, you wanted to hold you baby in your arms.
And you finally collapsed after hearing the doctor's yell of joy, Pablo's arms catching you and soon you heard her screams and you smiled happily
"Here she is!"
"Preciosa?"
"I'm alright" You breathed out with a smile on "I'm alright" You smiled at Pablo, he smiled back at you and kissed your lips
"Dad, wanna cut the umbilical cord?" Pablo nodded excited hand already out to grab the scissors from the nurse's hand.
Pablo was shaking, he was feeling happier than ever and the excitement he was already a dad was settling in
"Momma, here's your babygirl" One of the nurses passed her to you, she was crying but as soon as you got her into your chest she stopped
"Lena, mi amor" You said softly, one of your fingers going to her little hand, as she gripped it tightly "Mi niña hermosa, we're mommy and daddy" Your voice cracked a bit.
You felt arms around you and saw Pablo hugging you both while crying lightly
"Joder, que es preciosa" Pablo let out and Helena wriggled a little, he put his arm underneath yours and she relaxed again, it was beautiufl how she seemed to understand, sense the voices and touches you had given her through your belly eight months back. Soon Pablo's hand gripped both of yours "Hija mía, we're extremely happy to finally have you here with us" You smiled "You're so loved already and we're going to take so much care of you for the rest of your life" He spoke his voice cracking too, he couldn't stop watching her and neither could you "Mommy and daddy love you so much"
She was gorgeous. She was perfect already.
"Thank you so much, mi vida" He finally looked at you "I can't ever thank you enough for this. You've made me a dad and I'm truly and forever grateful for it. Te amo, mi reina"
"Y yo a ti" You whispered kissing his lips. You gestured him to hold her too and he smiled grabbing her "I think she'll look like you"
"I don't think so. She's too beautiful to have my beauty genes" You laughed lightly
"You're extremely handsome, Pablo"
"But you have the good looks in our relationship" He said looking at you smiling, you blushed as he laughed lightly "I can still make your momma blush, Lena. I haven't lost my touch and I better never do" You shook your head
"You know you won't" He winked ready to keep joking until your moment was cut by the nurse who asked him for Helena to check her out and all.
"We're parents" Pablo said as soon as the nurse left with your daughter. You smiled at him and nodded
"We are" You kissed him and broke the kiss thanks to your yawn, making Pablo laugh
"Are my kisses that boring?"
"Oh shut up" You laughed
"Go to sleep for a bit, mi amor. I'll take care of Helena for now" You smiled
"You need to sleep too, you know?"
"I didn't just pushed a human out of me, you know?" You laughed "Go to sleep. I'll be fine with her and if something happens or if she needs you, I'll call you" You nodded "Te amo"
"Y yo a ti" You said closing your eyes
When you woke up, you woke up by some shushing and a few laughs
"Hijos de su madre, que se callen" You heard your husband say "Y/N is asleep and so is Helena"
"Already in dad mode?"
"I swear to God, I will kick you guys out of the room if you don't stay quiet"
"You'll have to kick yourself too" You replied watching Pablo instantly wip his face towards you, you smiled watching the pink blanket on his arms "you're also being loud"
"Sorry mi amor" He inmediately apologized going over to you to kiss you "How are you feeling?"
"Sore and tired" You laughed lightly watching your babygirl sleep in her dad's chest. You made a bit of space in the bed for him and your baby to sit, which he glady took
"Wanna eat?" You nod kind of forgetting about the bunch of people that were in the room
"Hi everyone" You said softly earning a few giggles
"How are you, my dear?" Your mom asked you as you nod lighty
"Never been this good" You smiled
"Congratulations, momma" Pedri said smiling as you smiled back at him
"Thank you, godfather" He blushed coming over to hug you.
Soon you saw the whole team, your close friends and your family fill the room with balloons, teddy bears and some chocolate for you, you smiled widely
"Thank you everyone for being here" You said
"Thank you for giving us the prettiest daughter, grandaughter, niece, friend and babygirl ever" Baldé said winning a few 'aw's' from the guys. You laughed
"She definitely got your beauty"
"Stop with that" You smiled
"Hopefully she got your brains and personality too" Pablo himself said making you laugh, the guys started to talk about something but you shut them off.
You were watching your husband be with your baby girl when she started crying
"Might be hungry" You smiled at Aurora, Pablo passed you Helena as you accommodated her, the guys excused themselves to let you have that first mom-daughter communication but Pablo, both of your moms and Aurora who stayed
"Thank you" Aurora said "For making me an aunt, for giving me the most beautiful niece ever, I wish the two of you as a relation all the greatest things and happiness in the world, and to your little but gorgeous family the same thing" She kissed her brother's and yours temple before coming out of the room
"That might hurt a bit" Belén said making you smile ", but it's the worlds most precious feeling"
"I agree" Your mom said smiling, the two older woman helped you and instructed you om how to breastfeed for the first time before leaving the room, not before both of them thanking you too.
"You can sleep too, you know?" You said to Pablo after a few minutes, he was mesmerized watching the two woman of his life, he shook his head
"Don't really want to" He whispered
"But you have to" You smiled "I'll wake you up if I need anything. It's your time to rest, amor" He smiled giving in after three kisses. He jumped out of your bed towards one that the hospital had put for him.
And with a hand on your thigh he fell asleep. You smiled once more watching the two loves of your lives.
Helena is such a lucky baby, having the most beautiful family by blood and by choice ever. You knew that she would always be taken care of, if you and Pablo couldn't, she was going to be extremely spoiled by them too and she will grow up with so much love, respect and care in every aspect of the words. But you were also lucky to have Pablo in your life and also the guys.
"Lena" You called her softly "You and mommy are extremely lucky" Your eyes shiftened to Pablo "I've got the world's most perfect husband and you've got the world's most perfect dad. That's the man of our lives" You smiled at her as her hand was placed on your chest lightly "I'm sure he'll do anything to see both of us happy, but I'm also sure we only need him to be like that. Am I right?" She gripped your hand and kicked her feet making you laugh, you took it as an agreement of your statement "That's right, my little ray of sunshine"
Helena was in your lives since only five hours ago, but you already loved your little and perfect family of three.

I never thought much about the pet names I used for my husband, Luke. "Lukie Pookie" just seemed like a cute and endearing nickname to me. But one day, when our 2-year-old daughter Aurora overheard me calling him that, things changed.
I was in the kitchen making dinner when I heard Aurora's little voice say, "Lukie Pookie!" I turned around to see her standing there with a big smile on her face.
Luke walked in just then and she looked up at him and said, "Lukie Pookie!" He smiled down at her and said, "Hey there, little miss. It's dada to you." But Aurora just giggled and kept calling him Lukie Pookie.
I was tucking Aurora into bed when I decided I should probably speak to her about calling luke , lukie pookie "Hey sweetie, you know what? Dada really likes it when you call him Dada. Can you try calling him that instead of Lukie Pookie?"
Aurora looked up at me with those big eyes and said, "But I like Lukie Pookie!" I sighed walking out of her room
"See what you've done?" luke spoke from the couch " I know I know I'm sorry" I cuddled into him making puppy eyes knowing he couldn't be mad at me

i was thinking about the way they sign off as "a nameless ghoul" on their socials and somehow it got me thinking about what the ghouls would have each other saved as if they had phones (another tangent💕💕)
- swiss would have phantom saved as like "bug ❤️" and aurora as "princess💕" but would have dew saved as "dick sucker #1" (mountain is #2) and rain saved as 🐟 or something because he thinks he's funny
- he'd have the girls saved as something cute and respectful like cumulus would be lus 💘 and cirrus would be cir ❤️ but he's low-key terrified of mist (even tho she's actually so sweet she's just shy) and he only has her number because papa was trying to plan yule and freaked out and just put everyone in a gc but she's never even on her phone and he just has her saved as mist. like there's no need for the full stop he just put it here (and sunshine is saved as like 🍒 or sm and she has him saved as 🍆 cos they're funny)
- rain would save everyone as their names w the cute little symbols and hearts
- dew has aether as aeth❤️❤️ and everyone else (apart from rain he's rainy even tho he claims he hates that because it sounds childish) as like cunt and he can't tell who's who
- cirrus would just have everyone as their names but her girls have a heart next to them
- phantom has everyone saved as an inside joke (apart from all the papas he's so scared of being disrespectful so he has them saved as like Papa Emeritus II etc so in the pack group chat it's like "microwave❤️" (dew), "9incher" (swiss) and "Papa Emeritus The Fourth.")
- aether would have everyone saved as something super cute like someone sees their name on his phone and go awwww out loud it's that cute - cirrus is definitely my wife 💋 (they're married idc), dew is like waterlily, cumulus is cue💞 etc etc (he's the only one who has copia saved as copia, everyone else has him saved as papa)
- mountain is like cirrus but without the hearts, he's never on his phone so he never even thought about it like that (he doesn't have phantoms number saved)
- aurora has everyone saved as something stupid that only makes sense to her and phantom (and occasionally swiss but he's given up) like dew is just saved as some really dumb emoji and no one knows why and everytime she's asked about it she'll look at phantom and they'll burst out laughing and swiss has to comfort dew and be like they're not bullying u baby i promise even tho he doesn't know what it means either
- cumulus has the boys saved as their names/nicknames with a <3 and has the girls saved as her nicknames/petnames for them with a colored heart that she associates with them
- sunny has everyone saved as a sex joke. idc. the girls are probably saved as mommy #1, etc
- copia has them all saved as "Water Ghoul" "Multi Ghoulette" because he's scared he'll get given out to for being unprofessional (hes literally papa.) (swiss has begged him to change his name from "Multi Ghoul" to "MY FAVOURITE" so many times)

Because I have a crippling addiction to Barbie nostalgia, here's a bit more of a deep dive in the princesses for the 10 Princesses AU:
Queen Lullaby
Age: 28
She got her nickname lullaby due to at one point lulling all her younger sisters to sleep by playing her harp after their mother's death
Became queen at 22 after the king had been driven to insanity after Aurora was cursed (he couldn't handle the grief after his wife died)
When she was a little child, the first instrument she learned was the ocarina (due to being the oldest, she would've inherited the Ocarina of Time), but after entrusting it to one of her soldiers for safekeeping she made the harp her main instrument
Often snuck out of the castle in a Sheikah alter-ego when she was a teenager, though that stopped when she was coronated
She is very protective of her younger sisters; so much so she does sometimes snap at them just to ensure their safety due to the kingdom's expectations of them
Princess Artemis
Age: 25*
Got her nickname for being the "warrior" out of the sisters (would sometimes boast by being the best archer, but all of the sisters knew that title belonged to Dusk and Tetra)
Ever since she was a young child she always copied Lullaby (not that she minded). It was because Lullaby was taking harp lessons that Artemis joined as well (even adopting a Sheikah persona when Lullaby did)
She uses her alter-ego to sneak into the army. Only Lullaby knows about this, so it is a secret even kept from the rest of her sisters
She is Somewhat Responsible. She realizes she is the next in line for the throne, so when she is forced to be in that "coming of heir" position she will put on her third persona: the ruler of Hyrule one
Princess Dusk
Age: 22
Got her nickname for being a night-owl for so long
She's more introverted than the rest of her sisters, largely due to the fact she "lost" her twin to a curse
Though she stopped dancing in the public eye for quite some time, she still loves to dance under the cover of night in her mother's garden when she cannot sleep (which is quite often, hence her nickname)
When she does speak, she speaks a lot more formally than her sisters. She's also the least likely to cause any trouble, so when Lullaby is talking to the rest of the sisters she never refers to Dusk (but of course that "good girl" mentality gets to her sometimes)
Despite being almost always by herself, she is still very warm and caring to her sisters, especially to the younger ones
She is extremely pale due to her being inside so much, so Artemis would often get her to go outside in the sun to practice archery (which doesn't last long when Artemis gets upset that Dusk is so much better at it)
Princess Aurora**
Age: 16 (physically and mentally, but in reality she is 22; the same as Dusk's age)
The sisters have been calling her that in hopes that she would someday wake up, just like the fairytales
She looks very similiar to Dusk, albeit a bit younger now
She got accidentally cursed when she opened up a gift meant to be for her father
Not really much to say about her at the moment, other than if she wakes up she'll have no idea that years had passed
Princess Sun
Age: 20
Got her nickname because she is the most optimistic and cheerful of the sisters
Also took harp lessons because of Artemis, just because it looked fun; also the best singer out of all of the princesses
Was favored by the king due to resembling so much of the late queen (can you tell that the late queen was technically Hylia lol)
Has fallen in love with one of the knights (Sky). All of the sisters know about it, even Lullaby, who lovingly teases her about it
The two have been discussing a secret marriage, but there's always the threat of Sun being the one to inherit the throne due to her being the only one in a concrete relationship (she doesn't want to put Sky through the stress of being a royal)
(Lullaby lets it all slide, though she does become increasingly worried the more the secret relationship goes on)
Princess Flora
Age: 18
Got her name due to always being outside, inspecting the plants and whatnot
She can sit down and name every plant in her mother's garden all by scientific name
She feels the effects of her father favoring Sun the most out of the other sisters, mainly because she (and her twin) also looked like their mother, but the king seemed to always pick on Flora for being interested in the more "mundane" things
(If she had a movie counterpart it would be the little sister who collects bugs; Flora would do the same but with... well... flora ig lol)
Once had a bodyguard (Wild), but had gotten into an accident causing him to lose his memories. Flora blames herself for it and still has nightmares about the event
Princess Fable
Age: 18
Got her name due to being obsessed with fairytales and whatnot (she's the one who suggested the nickname for Aurora)
She loves curling up by the fire reading a good book for fun
When she's not reading, she's often tending to her other sister's emotional needs (like comforting her twin or going up to Aurora's tower to bring food for Dawn)
(If I ever do an Island Princess AU, which is unlikely lol, she would be Princess Luciana rooting for Legend (who would be Prince Antontio) and Marin (who would be Ro))
If her twin is science, she would be magic as often she is studying about making potions and making sparkles and fireballs come out of her hand (ssb reference)
Also yes, the Fable-in-that-one-dress-from-Barbie-as-Rapunzel post is SUPER canon
Princess Dawn
Age: 15 (almost 16)
She got her name for being an early riser (even despite her young age)
She cares the most about Aurora, even though she doesn't remember a whole lot about her. She would spend the most time in her tower; dusting the place, talking to Aurora as if she was awake, etc.
Not much to say about her either, other than she has developed a little crush on the flute boy who comes to the castle every now and then (she doesn't know his name so that's what she has been calling him; this crush is not as obvious as Sun's attraction to Sky)
Princess Dot
Age: 15 (almost 16)
Got her name due to being the only one of the sisters with freckles; but not by one of her sisters but by her best friend
She's also the only one out of her sisters to have a best friend outside of the castle
She's very quiet and emotional; the movie equivalent to her would be Lacey, as much like Flora she is also underconfident of herself (probably due to her being the most forgotten out of all of the sisters)
Thanks to her best friend, she can see the minish. She is sometimes caught laughing to herself whenever she sees them do something funny
Just like Dusk, also the least likely to do something chaotic
Princess Tetra
Age: 13
Got her nickname because she hated that she was just another "Zelda" so changed her name (her legal name is Zelda the 10th oof)
Made rejecting the castle life her whole personality
The most chaotic out of her entire sisters
Sneaks out of the castle the most (alongside Sun) but she has the guts to do it in broad daylight at least
Archery is her main passion of course; inspired from Artemis
If you ask her Artemis is her favorite sister (they're very alike in personalities, except Tetra has no sense of responsibility)
The most extroverted of the sisters and is most likely to be thrown in jail
Dreams of becoming a pirate queen
*the original post had her at 24 but for some reason I keep writing 25 so she's a year older now
** in the original post I was kind of worried I didn't clarify the thing about her age; kind of think of it like Link and Zelda from botw on how technically they're both over 100 years old but physically and mentally 17. The same goes for Aurora

I have been asked to make a list of characters who appear in my fics, both book canon and ocs, so... I apologize for how long this is going to be. (The only characters excluded on this list are those who appear in the movies).
This is everyone born before the first Descendants movie. I may add on to this list as time goes on and more characters are created. All ages are the ages at the time of D1. I headcanon that the first movie takes place in March-April of 2015, or A.C. 20
Alice:
"Ally" Allison (Canon) - First seen in Wicked World. I made "Ally" be a nickname. Longs to be a detective, and works at her mother's tea shop. 15
Aladdin & Jasmine:
Prince Aziz (Canon) - First mentioned in The Isle of the Lost. 17
Prince Amir (Canon?) - His name is said during the Tourney Game in the first movie, spelled Amir according to subtitles. His jersey says Emir, but I went with the "A" spelling and made him Aladdin and Jasmine's son. 15
Princess Jamila (OC) - The baby of the family. 12

Princess Abi (OC) - She is older than Ebba by only 6 minutes, but unlike her sister she doesn't have as strong of a call to the sea. With that said, she is still a mermaid. 16
Princess Ebba (OC) - Ebba loves the sea and everything to do with it. 16
Princess Elle (Canon-ish) I believe she was confirmed by Kenny Ortega. She was born without the use of her legs, but thanks to her grandfather, is able to transform into a mermaid. 14

“Ah, if it isn’t Monsieur Endormi!”
Rook smiles at the way Silver startles as he approaches him, whirling around to stare at him with bulging eyes. One could almost describe them as bug-like, blown open wide in shocked surprise. “Pardon the intrusion,” he continues, “but I could not help but notice you wandering about the school as though you were a lost lamb.”
“Rook,” Silver greets. There is something Rook recognises well as an edge of unease in his voice, having heard it in plenty of the people he has approached before. Silver shifts, crossing his arms, those exquisite, alluring eyes, hued the colours of the auroras, flicking up and down. “Were you following me the whole time?”
To that, Rook only grins, feeling the corners of his eyes crease as he smiles. Sometimes it is better to let the silence speak for itself, non?
“That deep focus in your eyes,” Rook muses, attention honing in on Silver’s face. “Might I be correct in saying that you are searching for something? Or perhaps even someone?”
Silver’s eyes widen once again, pink lips parting ever the slightest bit. “You… How did you know?” At least, those are the words that spill from his mouth; Rook knows, based on the way Silver’s pupils shift to the side, one hand reaching up to rub the back of his neck uneasily, that what he is really thinking is: Am I that easy to read?
Perhaps not for everyone else, but nothing is impossible for him.
“C’est tres simple!” Wagging a finger in the air, Rook smirks. “You were sporting a look any hunter would recognise: a sharp and searching gaze for one’s quarry.” It is, after all, a look he recognises well; Rook has seen it reflected in his own face, in mirrored images or photographs taken of him. “And what a coincidence!” Rook continues, sweeping on, pressing a hand to his chest dramatically, another held out, palm facing upwards. “I happen to be unable to find our dear little crabapple in the dormitory today, so I’m out for a bit of a hunt myself. Mind if I join you?”
“Well…”
“Might I gander a guess that you are searching for one Monsieur Crocodile?” At the sound of the nickname, Silver snaps to attention, gaze sharpening and fixating upon Rook’s face. Perfect. “A most peculiar prey to be tracking,” Rook sweeps on, “given that his powerful voice usually gives him away.”
“I am searching for Sebek,” Silver concedes, confessing the information. He peers at Rook; “It isn't like him to disappear like this, and he isn’t answering his phone either. Your hunting skills are renowned across campus—”
“Merci!”
“—so would you happen to have an idea where he might be?”
Oh, Rook knows. He knows where the two of them are — Epel and Sebek both, trying their best to be subtle but failing to hide their trysts from the skilled eye of a marksman. Rook likes to compare them to precious little buds, flowers that have only begun to unfurl into bright blooms; they lack the experience of navigating life and love, only beginning to dabble into the tumultuous journey that is l’amour in their first year of school.
They are hiding out at the Ramshackle dormitory, of course. Where else would they be? Rook has known for a while, having tailed Epel there after the boy blurted out the truth upon receiving a thorough interrogation from Rook for breaking curfew multiple times. Similarly, he caught on rather quickly to the fact that Epel’s amour was none other than Sebek Zigvolt through the process of elimination — there were only so many companions their little crabapple had, after all.
But where would be the fun in revealing all this information so easily?

Pablo was sitting in the changing room texting with you to make plans for tonights date night with a bright smile on his face that certainly didn't go unnoticed by his teammates.
"Who got you smiling so much Pablito?" Ansu teased but Pablo kept a straight face while saying that his sister was texting him something funny.
"Pablo, can I see you for a moment?" Xavi interrupted the conversation and Pablo was so glad rushing outside but forgetting to turn his phone while leaving it on the bench.
The phone kept buzzing when finally Araujo glanced at the screen reading that the message was from "amorcito <3" smirking before announcing it to the whole team.
'Liar! He is hooked boys! It's his girlfriend texting him!" Araujo said and Pedri was the first one to be shocked that Pablo didn't say anything, not even to him as his best friend.
"Are you sure it's not just Aurora?" Pedri said but Araujo took Pablo's phone showing him the screen.
"Unless she is 'amorcito' then it's definitely the girlfriend" Araujo said and in that moment Pablo walked in shocked to see Araujo holding his phone.
"Give it back, cabrón!" Pablo cussed snatching his phone seeing three unread messages from you.
"Looks like our Pablito found himself a girl!" Ferran was first to break the silence and suddenly the whole team was cheering around Pablo making him roll his eyes and tell them to calm down.
"How long have you been in this secret relationship?? And when can we meet her!?" Ansu asked what everyone was wondering.
"It's been five months..and I don't know guys, she is really shy and definitely not from our world" he explained but his teammates just kept begging him to meet you that he had to agree.
"Can't believe you hid it so well even from me!" Pedri said finally getting to hug Pablo before hitting his head playfully as they laughed.
"How will all his fangirls survive now that he is taken??" Ferran teased but Pablo was too busy replying to your text to give him any attention.
"Looks like he has finally been tamed hermanos!" Pedri smirked and Pablo raised his head asking what the hell was everyone laughing about.
Xavi walked in to get them to training and Pablo sent you a quick heart before putting his phone away.
"Guess what, coach? Pablito has a girlfriend now!" Araujo said and Xavi walked to Pablo who was blushing at this sudden attention.
"You be a good man and treat her right boy!" Xavi tapped his shoulder and Pablo smiled nodding his head.
"I will, sir" he said before they all went to get some training done for the day.
After training was over, they all were changing to regular clothes when Pablo's phone ringing caught everyone's attention. Seeing him blush when he saw that you were calling him made every yell to answer it.
"Sí amor?" he said while everyone was giving awes at the little nickname making Pablo roll his eyes and leave the changing room to finish the conversation with you in peace.
"They want to meet me?" you said a little nervous to meet first his friends as his official girlfriend and second big Barça stars all at the same time. You often forgot about Pablo Gavi's fame because to you he was just Pablo..a boy you loved.
"Yeah, I tried to talk them out of it but now that they know you exist they keep begging me to meet you...so I thought maybe I can bring them with me after training?" he said and you blushed immediately knowing that meant you will meet them all in less than half an hour.
"Okay..but promise to hold my hand the entire time??" you said and he found it adorable that you were nervous making a promise before getting inside to tell them all they can meet you today.
"I can't wait! She is probably super cool!" Ansu said and everyone agreed but Pablo did warn them not to overwhelm you or they will deal with him afterwards.
"Alright there, tough guy. We promise to keep our distance from your girl, no need to be celoso" Araujo joked but Pablo only smirked telling him none of them would have a chance next to him. You would agree with that statement fully ;)
When they drove to your house, Pablo came out first knocking on the door and when you opened and gave him a quick kiss he invited the rest of them to join immediately holding your hand like he promised.
"What if they don't like me?" you said as they all got out of their cars.
"I would prefer it if they don't like you amor.." Pablo teased and you chuckled rolling your eyes at his jealousy before smiling wide at the group of boys who was just as nervous to meet you.
"Hi chicos" you said and they immediately warm up to you saying hi and each one of them gave you a quick hug smirking at Pablo who was giving them a death glare.
"Really nice to meet you. I'm Pedri" boy said and you smiled nodding your head telling him that Pablo already told you about all of his friends.
"I get all the funny stories from training or after games" you say chuckling a little as Pablo pulled you into his arms after all his friend just had to hug you. He was getting a bit protective and you liked that very much.
"Have you been a fútbol fan before meeting our Pablito?" Araujo asked and you smiled looking up at your boy who was holding you tightly against himself.
"I have to admit I haven't been such a die heart Barça fan before but now I cheer with all my heart for you guys!" you said and they all smile thanking you for support.
"She cheers with all her heart for ME...and you guys just kinda happen to be in the same team" Pablo said making everyone laugh while you smirked giving his lips a quick peck in front of them all just to reassure him that you were always only his.
"Right! Of course! Siempre visca GAVI!" you said making everyone laugh while Pablo was smirking proudly nodding his head before kissing your hair lovingly.
"She's funnier then you Pablito!" Ansu said making you smile while leaning your head against Pablo who rolled his eyes at his friend's comment.
"How are you for a midfielder position? Maybe we can get her into the team instead of Pablito??" Pedri joked making everyone including you laugh but when you saw you boy pout you held his face shaking your head in disagreement.
"No, mi cariño is the best midfielder en todo el mundo!" you said squeezing his cheeks before pecking his lips sweetly making him smile.
"Gracias, amor! Alright, we are having our date night so I'll see you guys at tomorrows training?" Pablo said really wanting some alone time with his girl right now.
"Really nice to meet you Y/n! Good luck dealing with Pablito!"Pedri joked earning a slap on the shoulder from his friend before leaving.
"You should come watch some trainings sometimes, and we can hang out again?" Ansu said and Pablo's arms wrapped around your torso again.
"That's a great idea! We can sit around and chill" Araujo added and you smiled feeling happy that they accepted you as Pablo's girl and wanted to be friends.
"She will be sitting on my lap then!" Pablo said and you knew he was filled with jealousy knowing his possessive nature so you thanked them for the invitation before you and Pablo walked inside the house together.
"Eres adorable cuando estás celoso" you whisper into his ear and he smirked grabbing your body pushing it against nearby wall.
"Do I have to remind you who you belong to nena?" he smirked down at you and you felt you mind running wild in that moment as you bit your lit while looking up at him playfully.
"I belong to Pablo Gavi!" you smirked snaking your arms around his neck while crashing your lips to his and he hummed in content while pulling you closer to his body.
"Buena niña.." he whispered into your ear before starting to leave butterfly kisses down your neck..

RETAIL GHOULS AU
This is where store manager, Dew and part time college student, Swiss, work in a “NE turn of the century former industrialist coal town turned gritty depressed small town.” The shop is in a crappy little strip mall at the main intersection just off of the hiway. Dew was recently promoted to store manager. There’s another new part time hire named Aeon who is coming in at 5pm that they need to train on how to close.
On break, Dew crosses the intersection and goes to the McDonald's (out of frame) to have a smoke and flirt with the tall and handsome cashier, nicknamed Mountain. Mountain always sneaks him free food which he takes back to the shop and shares with Swiss. They watch 1980’s sitcom reruns on the crappy little mini TV behind the cashier counter while stuffing their faces with soggy fries.
OH MY GOD. Christ they would work at a store called Condom's Galore wouldn't they?
God Dew leaning on the counter at the dingiest McDonald's in the country. Flirting with Mountain while he waits for his food (it always takes way longer than it should because he and Mountian are too busy pretending they're not making eyes at each other).
Bet Aurora and Cumulus are regulars. To the point that Swiss and Dew know when to expect them every week and usually have their regular purchase ready to go before they even walk in the door. Swiss is always trying to take Aurora out on a date but she just laughs at him. And Dew loves to convince Cumulus to try their newest flavored lube. Just because he likes the face she makes when they're god awful (they're always god awful).
Bet there's a video rental store nearby too--always about to close. Bet Cirrus is the manager there, and Aether works the counter most days. Swiss ambles over there on his break to browse through the used section and shoot the shit with Aether and Cirrus, and pretend he isn't checking both of them out (they both know, he's not subtle).
GOD, ghouls living in run down post-capitalist America just really does something for me too. I adore this idea, Gremlin. Your brain is so big all the timeeee.

Week 5: Comfort and Hobbies
Cumulus crochets to relax. When newly summoned Phantom struggles with fitting in, she extends this comfort to them with a soft little friend.
Hi yes I am unashamedly joining the Cumulus-crochet-ghoul train.
I’ve had Cumulus and Phantom being really good friends stuck in my head ever since @foxybouquet's adorable photobooth drawing of them, Lus seems like just the ghoulette to bring out the fun side of her shyer packmates, I totally see her as the goofy pack big sister!

All the ghouls had hobbies. Some were more conventional, human sports and arts, while others were less so – Dewdrop and Ifrit claimed burning shit counted as a hobby. Cumulus was firmly in the more conventional camp: she spent her free time between rehearsals and Abbey duties crocheting. She'd made all manner of jumpers, winter hats for all her pack and, on the road between Rituals, a veritable mountain of blankets. It was a comforting activity for her, partly because it was a creative outlet that remained within her control, unlike her music, and partly because she was always cold. She had first learned from Mist and some Siblings of Sin who made plushies for the children in the Abbey nursery. She’d found the process of making little fluffy animals, monsters, and ghoul kits so relaxing, the methodical process occupying her frequently anxious hands, the repetitive counting soothing her racing mind.
Too many thoughts was something many of the ghouls suffered from, especially the newer summons. Their human forms seemed capable of both intense fixation and infinite distraction. Many new ghouls had developed anxieties over things they had never previously paid heed to. The mental pain of stuffing a strongly instinctual creature into a 21st century human body couldn't be overstated. How did humans cope with this every day of their lives? Many older ghouls chose to retire back to the pit just for some peace and quiet in their heads, the simpler life ghouls below could lead. Conversely, the often younger and more inquisitive ghouls found the topside world to be a land of endless fascination. Many a ghoul had had to be located, then dragged back long after dark from the farthest reaches of the Abbey grounds, after spending a day following every new sight and smell that caught their attention.
Phantom liked to watch bugs. That, along with their stick insect-esque mannerisms, had quickly contributed to their pack nickname. It was quite clear that the relative quiet of the Abbey grounds was their solace in the busy new world. Aurora, on the other hand, seemed quite content to roll with the new speed and intensity of everything around her, being incredibly outgoing and becoming fast friends with everyone. Despite their summonings happening so close together, the two ghouls couldn’t have had more different initial experiences topside. As Aurora continued to flourish, Phantom had become more withdrawn. This concerned Cumulus greatly, she remembered the feeling of drowning and being overwhelmed in her own thoughts, and felt protective over the lost little quint ghoul. They almost reminded her of the infants in the nursery, crying out for some comfort in a new and unfamiliar world. She could tell there was a sweet and loving ghoul buried beneath their many layers of anxieties. They were more than competent in rehearsals, but with less than a month until tour, Cumulus was worried they might get lost on stage amongst the strong performance personalities of the rest of the pack.
She knew Swiss had been trying to help, he was similarly infatuated by the new quintessence ghoul, although they appeared entirely oblivious to his affections. She continued to observe Phantom, trying to think of a way to comfort them. They seemed so childlike in some of their mannerisms, and likewise their taste in foods, that Cumulus started to wonder if they wouldn’t also benefit from a soft and cuddly friend like she and the sisters made for the children in the Abbey’s care.
But what to make for them? She couldn’t very well make a bug, despite their nickname: too many legs to be squishable. But what about a bat? They had clearly been interested in the nature documentary about them playing in the background of the den the other day. Cumulus thought back to what the older children liked best; velvety wings and a squeezable stress-ball belly? Sounds perfect. She picked out a few shades of purples, matching Phantom’s eyes, and set to work.
Cumulus had croched many things for her packmates in the past, especially blankets for her ghoulettes’ nests. From a brightly coloured affair for Sunshine, a garden of flowers for Cirrus (“I might not be an earth ghoulette but I can still grow you a bouquet”, she had said) to a pond of lilies for Mist and several more, the den was full of her brightly coloured creations. She’d tried to teach the others, with varying success. Aurora had almost immediately gotten herself in a giant tangle, somehow crocheting herself to the table leg. Cumulus quickly pivoted to instead teach her fingerknitting and how to use knitting dollies to make cords and hair ties. Sunshine had been a quick learner but ultimately preferred knitting, while Mist had been the one to teach Cumulus in the first place. As for Cirrus… Cumulus was still trying there. Each time she tried to teach her, Cirrus would end up in a tangle and feign dismay, begging Cumulus to help her out. She would guide Cirrus’s hands through the motions once more with strangely little resistance, almost as if her fingers did know what they were supposed to be doing, Cirrus exclaiming what a good teacher she was, and if she could show her just one more time. If Cumulus was a more skeptical ghoul she would almost think Cirrus was looking for an excuse to have Cumulus’s warm hands on hers for an extended period of time…
A short while later, the toy was complete. Cumulus sewed its small ears and features onto it, cooing at it's sweet little face. She caught up with Phantom as they were leaving rehearsals, waylaying them before they could slink off back to their room. If she had thought the ghoul was withdrawn before, this image was fully shattered when they threw themselves onto her in a hug that almost knocked her off her feet.
"Thank you Lussy, I love it!” they squealed into her hair.
"You're welcome, little bat!”
After this, Cumulus sensed she had gained a new shadow. Phantom had taken to following Cumulus around during rehearsal breaks, and she had tried to subtly include Phantom whenever possible so they would begin to open up more to their other packmates. It wasn't long before she caught them playing video games with Aurora, and giggling and blushing with Swiss in the den. Notably with the little plush bat by their side.
By the time they all headed out on tour, the world around Phantom had begun to slowly make more sense, and they had learned to ignore the competing voices in their head. The friendly young ghoul had come out of their shell more than Cumulus had dared dream, and she felt a small swell of pride at having even a tiny part in it, through the small stuffed bat that lived on Phantom's bunk shelf.

Aurora
A few days had passed since your visit to the House of Wind, and you were doing everything you could to keep from thinking about it. You threw yourself into your work, you couldn’t even bring yourself to read. The thoughts those books triggered were far too dangerous, not to mention unprofessional.
It’s late in the evening, you’re still at your studio working on a new program when you hear a knock on the door.
Who would be stopping by at this hour?
You open the door to find a familiar blonde female standing there.
“It’s getting bloody cold out!” Mor walks past you into the warmth of your studio. “So, I heard you taught a special class this week. How did you go?” Mor raises her brows and grins.
“I got offered an ongoing position, so I’d say it went fairly well. I must say, I have been wondering who gave Nesta my details.” You raise your brows back at the female.
“Now that is a good question, Rory.”
You sigh and shake your head. You had suspected Mor was behind it in some way - she was such a busybody.
“Whatever you did, thank you. At this rate I owe you a heck of a lot of favours.”
Mor just laughs and shrugs you off. “What are friends for?” She pauses briefly, “I did genuinely come here to check on you. How are you doing?”
“Oh you know, same old. Keeping busy.”
“Okay I guess I’ll leave you to it, you should probably get home soon though. It’s late.” Mor makes a move towards the door. “You know where to find me if you need anything.”
“I know. See you around, Mor.” She offers that every time you see each other, but you already owe her a life debt - you couldn’t possibly ask for more than that.
Mor was the one who brought you to Velaris all those years ago. She is the only person who knows where you come from, aside from Rhysand and Helion. Mor checks in on you every couple of months, you have never asked her for anything. You’ve considered a proper friendship with the female, but with all she’s done for you - you feel like too much of a burden. Your rejections of her offers to hang out haven’t deterred Mor, who continues to show up and call you by your nickname. Even so, you hate to be a bother.
You finally decide to head home. Work will still be there in the morning. Stepping outside, you welcome the bitter wind. It allows your thoughts to focus on retaining body heat, rather than your interaction with Mor and the many questions you know she was holding back.

The day of training at the House is here. You had a terrible sleep last night, tossing and turning in anticipation of the session.
It turns out you had nothing to be worried about - both Cassian and Azriel had important business to attend to elsewhere. You couldn’t help but feel slightly disappointed when Azriel wasn’t in the training ring.
You went a little easier on the group today, partially due to your tiredness.
After class, you hang around to get to know Nesta, Gwyn, and Emerie some more. You enjoy all of their company. They share many stories about their lives - how they got started with the training, their Valkyrie research, and how insufferable Nesta and Cassian were before their mating bond snapped.
“Oh Aurora, you had to see it. You could cut the tension with a sword.” Emerie snorts, clutching her stomach.
Gwyn chimes in, “And it only got worse as it dragged on. Now they are settled we can finally stand to be around them.”
Nesta simply sticks her tongue out, not really bothered by the comments.
After plenty of laughs and a few more book recommendations, Gwyn and Emerie leave the House. They both have to get to work.
Alone with Nesta, she takes you on a tour of the House. You end up in the library with some tea, and a stack of books to take home. You don’t mention that you haven’t been in the mood for them lately.
“So, Aurora, are you seeing anyone?” Nesta asks playfully.
You try to brush off her question, “No, I’m so busy with work that I don’t really have time for it.”
“There’s no one that you’re interested in then?”
Damn, you were hoping to avoid this, you’re a terrible liar but you do trust your new friend. Sighing, you say “I suppose there is someone who caught my eye recently.”
Neither of you noticed that Cassian had crept into the room. “No need to be embarrassed sweetheart, females can’t help themselves around me.” Both you and Nesta whip your heads to the now open door, to see the smirking male leaning against the door frame.
Your face heats after your admission, but you’re relieved you hadn’t mentioned any names. You try to think of a witty comeback but your mouth refuses to cooperate - it opens and closes, yet no words come out.
Nesta saves you from answering, “It’s bold to assume we were talking about you, sweetheart.” She makes a move towards Cassian, and leans in to give her mate a soft kiss in greeting. “You’re early. How was Windhaven?”
Running a hand through his hair, he sighs, “Devlon is still resistant in training the females. Progress in the camps moves at a snails pace.” Turning to you, Cassian asks, “How was training this morning?”
Finally finding your voice, “Everyone is doing really well, very enthusiastic.”
Nesta chimes in, “Except not everyone showed up today.”
The mates exchange a knowing look and you know they are speaking mind to mind. You have seen your parents do the same all your life.
“Interesting…” Cassian trails off. “Aurora, I’m heading into town, do you need a lift back home?”
You accept his offer, hoping you’ll eventually get used to the flying.

Azriel
Sitting in the study of the River House, Azriel is expecting to receive an earful. He’d lied to avoid training that morning, he just couldn’t face Aurora yet. He knew he would have to eventually, but he wanted to postpone the awkwardness. She wouldn’t know about the filthy dreams he’d been having about her, but he wasn’t sure he could look her in the eye again.
Azriel’s thoughts are interrupted as Cassian enters, sitting to the right of the shadowsinger. Mor is in an armchair across from them, Rhys is leaning against his desk while Feyre rocks Nyx in the chair next to Mor.
“Amren is occupied. We still haven’t gotten any news of Bryaxis so she's looking into some tracking spells.” Rhys explains, moving to sit on the arm of Feyre’s chair.
Cassian shudders at the mention of the beast.
“But that’s not why we’re here.” Rhys looks to Azriel, “How’s training?”
Azriel nods, “It’s good.”
Cassian shakes his head, “Aurora showed me up. She’s better than good. I’d kill to see her with some weapons training. She’d make a fierce Valkyrie.”
Azriel goes silent, he doesn’t want his mouth to betray him.
The truth is, he’s completely captivated by Aurora. It's obvious how fierce she is, almost as determined as Nesta but still soft, and bubbly... He couldn’t even control his shadows around her. They were drawn to her, which confused Azriel - how could someone so radiant attract such darkness?
Azriel’s shadows bring his attention back to the room. He’d gotten lost in his thoughts for a moment and hoped it wasn’t too obvious.
Rhys smirked at Azriel, arms folded over his chest. “It’s clear she’s made an impression. I’d like to meet her. Extend an invitation to family dinner next week, we’ll have it here.”

The morning of training comes around agonisingly slow for Azriel. He regretted skipping out on the week before, eager for another glimpse at Aurora.
He hadn’t risked spying on her in town, his shadows gave him away too easily.
Azriel enters the training ring early to get in some extra practise before the rest of the group arrives. Exercise always helps him ease his anxiety so he promptly pulls out the punching bag and gets to work.

Aurora
You had asked Feyre to bring you to the House a bit earlier today. You wanted to arrive before everyone else.
You’re surprised to see Azriel already in the ring, his back to you as he throws punches at a bag. So engrossed watching his wings flaring and the muscles in his back rippling, you don’t notice Feyre had already departed - leaving you alone with the shadowsinger.
Your attention is captured by a shadow dancing over to you. It looks like it wants to play, so you conjure up a small ball of light and float it around. The shadow stalks the light like a cat, causing you to giggle.
The sound of your laugh catches Azriel’s attention, your eyes meet and you see amusement flicker across them.
“They like you.” Your heart skips a beat at the sound of his voice.
You move your light ball again, slightly faster causing the shadow to chase after it. “I like them, they are cute.”
The corners of Azriel’s lips curl into a small smile. “How did you do that?” He asks softly.
“The light? I don’t know, I’ve always been able to. The magic comes from my Mother’s side. It’s not really much more than a good party trick though.” You make the light float over between you both before you wave your hand and make it disappear.
“Interesting,” Azriel hesitates before asking, “Where is your mother now?”
“She passed away years ago.”
Azriel’s eyes widen in shock. “Oh fuck, Aurora. I’m sorry.”
Before you can reassure him, you’re interrupted by a boisterous Cassian. “Ready to go hard today, Aurora?”
You roll your eyes in response, turning to greet the Illyrian. You can’t hold back your snort when you see his outfit.
“Oh my stars, what are you wearing?”
Cassian had swapped out his usual training leathers for a plain singlet and extremely fitted pants that show off every inch of him.
“I couldn’t let you have any advantage today. The lady in the shop said these would be easier to move in. You know, so I can get into all the deep positions.”
Nesta scoffs, “Tell the truth. You wanted to distract Aurora so you had more of a chance of beating her.”
“I will not admit to such an outrageous lie.” Cassian’s mischievous smile said otherwise.
Shaking your head, you avert your eyes and move to the front of the group, you know you’re in for a long morning.

Coming over here to bother you about my EAH AU thoughts because I want to write but this stupid fatigue wall let me write my daily prompt and nothing else today. Spent a good chunk of time staring at the document file.
I'm thinking about the Zeldas. Obviously most of them will fit in as the miscellaneous princesses for their respective Links, but not all of the stories even have princesses in them.
Artemis/Athena: Obviously I could just have her be Athena, but I feel like she could also do a Mulan story. She could match with Warriors, they could be Greek mythology buddies.
Flora: I think the thing that really sets her apart is her role in TotK, but there aren't any old fairytales about princesses that turn into dragons, so the best I've got is this book by E. D. Baker that I read when I was a kid. It's probably close enough? I'm already going to have to fudge things for Wild anyway.
Sun: Her whole thing is being the reincarnation of Hylia, so I feel like she should be either a full-on mythological goddess or the avatar of one. I feel like there aren't really any good real-world mythology equivalents because LoZ lore has such a distinct vibe to it. Since Sky's story is going to be about fighting the Jabberwocky, she's probably also from Wonderland, I just need to figure out her role.
Fable: I feel like she'd fit into one of the Charming families alright. Alternatively she could be one of the princesses from Oz, most likely Gayelette if she's related to Legend because they both would inherit magical abilities and Gayelette was both a princess and a sorceress. No clue how that's going to work with Camelot. Maybe Legend could have dual citizenship or something. Although I could be mean and say she's a human princess who fades into obscurity because he outlives her.
Dusk: I can't find any good old fairy tales about princesses that involve puppets or wolves. I'm probably going to have to fudge the entire thing. Which shouldn't be horribly difficult since TP is literally just a fairytale anyway, but I was really hoping to find something.
Tetra: Definitely a pirate. Probably Blackbeard or Bluebeard. Maybe one of those lady pirates that were 100% lesbians. (Side note: The Great Sea could totally be the ocean that Atlantis is under. Wind's divine parent could be one of the gods that sunk it or something.)
Dawn & Aurora: I feel like being miscellaneous princesses actually works in their favors because that's pretty much what they are in canon. I can probably just gloss over the details a little bit and say they're cousins and that Hyrule helped rescue them while he was out killing giants.
Dot: I'm just going to say she's the princess from the story about the four brothers since it fits perfectly. Least amount of work to give her a role. Honestly sort of wish she could be Dorothy from The stories about Oz because of her nickname, but that wouldn't work. She deserves a QPR with Four so that's what she's getting.
Lullaby: I don't think she really does much in OoT other than be Sheik? So my best idea is Mulan, but with the whole ocarina thing she could also be a type of magical princess like Fable, but those are in surprisingly limited supply.
Honorary mention of ST!Zelda: She should be a ghost. A victim of train assassination, maybe Orient Express style. Ends up befriending ST!Link and they get along like a house on fire and she helps him get used to being a ghost after he dies in a tragic train accident.

- I suppose red riding hood wouldn’t work for Dusk? There’s gotta be SOME fairy tale about wolves out there, I dunno the rules of EAH but there’s gotta be at least some vague one
- YEAAAAAAAH LESBIAN PIRATE TETRA MY BELOVED 😭
- Dot as Dorothy would be soooooo good, and slay her havin a qpr with Four
- Any Mulan story I see I will absolutely eat up and encourage, that’s one of my favorite Disney movies
- ORIENT EXPRESS STYLE. I LOVE IT.
