Tumgik
#i really just. spend hours. writing about misha and his boyfriend.
i'm so excited about you taking asks again ahhhh okay so. if you'd absolutely had to choose. what would be your top 5 cockles moments, and why? thank you ily <3
here’s the thing: there are so many routes i could go down with this, because cockles moments come in all shapes and sizes and formats. these include moments from their panels, their bloopers, the footage we get when they don’t even know they’re being recorded, stories being passed down from photo ops & autographs(one of my personal favorite ways to get cockles, tbh, because they’re all insane), and social media(tweets to each other, instagram posts & comments, etc.).
SO! since many a list like this has already been made, and i want to stand out from the crowd, what i’m gonna do is definitively give the number one spot to each of these five categories.(i might even throw in honourable mentions because they’re so despicably in love that they warrant that. i really put my whole pussy into this, guys, i hope you’re happy.)
disclaimer: these are my own personal opinions. but that also means i’m right. so. enjoy.
number one: top cockles panel moment
so we’re starting off with a bang, because how do you even BEGIN to rank what atrocities jensen and misha commit at jibcon. every single one they’ve had is damning in it’s own right, for different reasons.
however, considering just how much unabashed fuckery they’ve given us to sift through, it’s a good thing i do have a personal favorite despite it all. it’s heartwarming, the sweetest thing i’ve ever seen, AND it’s jarringly cinematic - mainly because it has a whole ass arc to it that was years in the making. it might even be surprising to some people, but my favorite cockles panel moment, and what i consider the one that encompasses their entire gut-wrenching journey from 2008-2013 in the most sweepingly romantic gesture possible, is this one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i want this burned into my retinas. i am not even joking. when i'm through with my explanation, let me convince you why this is thee most romantic cockles moment of all time.
first, some history: people call this the resume off, but many seem to forget the botched attempt at a resume off a year prior. and yes, you guessed it: it's during their break up. it's a juicy time period for a reason, guys. it came across as exceedingly one-sided and VERY awkward. let me refresh your memory as to just how bad it was, and just how hard jensen was trying and ultimately failing at winning misha over: the funniest part of the whole resume off in 2013??? every joke/bit had literally already been made/done. they were just going through the motions again, but the difference THIS time...is that misha reciprocated jensen's energy. it. is. fascinating. i want to get into it more detail in another post, and i'll link it here when i'm done, but the main takeaway, i think, and the main difference that showcases how much they've grown in a year, is that in jib 3, misha flat out refused to do an accent, and this time around, he indulges jensen for literal minutes. when i tell you they're crazy, they're crazy. i can't wait to actually dive into it later.
ANYWAY, the resume off culminates in this moment here. and, like, a million things happen in this gifset. actually, more like a million and one. the music starts playingneediremindyouthatthesongissingingintherain(h e l p), misha starts dancing, jensen 'perpetually fake grumpy' ackles lets misha think he's not going to join, misha sits down defeated, but no!!! that was jensen's plan all along(look at his stupid fucking smirk) and he offers his arm to his dance partner who immediately grins like a fool, jensen then leads misha into their kick step, they perfectly synchronise and let loose, and are then very clearly having the time of their lives, hanging off of each other with joy and ease. from their expressions alone i can tell that this moment is so. so. so. so! much more than what initially meets the eye. i mean-misha is fighting back the biggest smile i've ever seen. to me, it reads like jensen is offering something to misha, something that misha kind of gave up on expecting, and him offering his arm like that is like, a surprise to him in the best possible way(and it's so not platonic, let me just say that.) as soon as jensen did that, it ushered in a new era of cockles. this panel is jensen and misha's favourite for a reason, and i think this moment is the biggest clue as to why.
whew!!! ok. that took a lot out of me and that was only point one. moving on,
number two: top cockles blooper moment
cockles bloopers hold an extremely special place in my heart, because it shows just how fucking disastrous jensen and misha are. they are so goddamn infatuated with each other that they HOLD UP PRODUCTION ALL THE TIME TO FLIRT WITH EACH OTHER(???). let me repeat. let it sink in. jensen ackles; arguably one of the most professional actors on that show who puts everything he has into each scene, with mountains and mountains of notes to prove it: would rather hold up production to flirt with misha collins. this sounds fake. it's not. he does it. all. the. time. and here's the thing guys!!! i'm gonna let you in on a secret!!! misha loves it. he loveesssss it. on top of that-misha collins: overlooked because he's pranked and people assume he's unprofessional as well, but his only pranks are in retaliation/off-set, and he rarely if EVER causes problems if he can help it....lets himself get carried away when it comes to jensen making kissy faces at him!!! are you actually kidding me!!! i mean. misha. it's just a face. you've seen it a million times. i don't buy that it triggers something in you that strongly....you like it, and you like jensen's reaction. you can't fool me!!! lisa berry's face in that one gifset shows just how fed up the crew is with their gross, coupley boyfriend antics.
i could pull up so many examples. sooooooo many. but my favourite was sealed since the moment i saw it.
Tumblr media
i actually already wrote an analysis on it but i can't find it :(((( which SUCKS because i really unpacked the whole thing. i'll try to summarise.
basically, a backstory is part of this too!!! jensen and misha both had a really really hard time with this scene(because it's explicitly romantic there i said it), they sat down for hours and poured over their scripts together, they were super super nervous going into filming, both of them, jensen especially, were super hard on themselves for their performances not being true to their characters but they both complimented the other's work(boyfriend moments fr). so, yeah. they weren't confident going into shooting. and how do they get themselves to feel better???? by cuddling each other, apparently.
a lot. a LOT. happens in this specific blooper. to the point that i saw it years before i knew about cockles and it raised all sorts of flags for me.
1) stop pulling my face towards your crotch(as a thinly veiled request that misha would, in fact, move jensen's face towards his crotch, considering it was jensen moving himself there in the first place. also, why so comfy down there guys???) 2) you're my baby daddy i know(in the most intimate voice i've ever heard please) 3) i know, i know, i love you too i didn't say i love you i know but you wanted to say it etc. misha's right, of course. that's what jensen meant.
it just reeks of comfort, familiarity and intimacy between the two, and it's a moment that is extremely sweet and silly at the same time. they're so <3
number three: top cockles found footage moment
WONDERFUL category. truly the culmination of the cockles experience. many people have said that shipping cockles doesn't work because 'they're just onstage you dummies!! they're playing it up for the audience!!!' here's the thing, love. i could not disagree with you more. once you climb your way up the cockles ladder, you soon learn that they are, in fact, playing their dynamic DOWN, not up. they really are just Like That™, and they could not care less about the paying audience, if we're being honest, considering how much time they take to giggle with each other and refuse to let the audience in on the joke. and i love them for it <3
anyway, my point is that this category is for all you naysayers out there, all you 'jensen and misha's relationship is just for show and is real life queerbaiting'(?????lordhelp???) oh yeah? ok, explain this.
Tumblr media
he. he. he calls jensen sweetheart. literally enough said. there's nothing to really add here, except, misha and jared then immediately engage in damage control. jared's method is distraction and misha's is retconning('get out of the car, dude') this was what got me to buy into the cockles dumpster for GOOD good. you don't call your buddy sweetheart accidentally and sound so completely earnest while doing it! especially not when that buddy is jensen ackles!!! you think he would let any of his friends call him that? do you?
one more thing; if it was a slip of the tongue, little mouth thing or whatever, you think jared wouldn't have jumped on it immediately??? i can hear it now. 'did you just call him SWEETHEART???' yeah. that's what i thought. you know why he didn't? because it was too revealing.
number four: top cockles autograph moment
i mean, i think we all know what it's gonna be, and if you don't, well, do i have the piece de cockles resistance that is gonna send you over the edge.
if you haven't heard of this story by now, as a cockles, truther, i'm gonna go ahead and get you to read it, because there is no possible heterosexual explanation for any of it, and you're fooling yourself if you think otherwise.
spoiler alert: it's the story where phones weren't allowed in an auto session, jensen nuzzles himself in misha's hair, leans his full body weight onto him, holds his hand, etc. etc. i'm imploding just repeating this back, actually. also, just, the sheer amount of stories from photo ops where they tackle hug each other or slap each other's asses or sing romantic songs to each other or almost kiss is, frankly, a lot. if i could wish for anything, it would be to witness them in person.
and finally,
number five: top cockles social media moment
this one is super difficult, because there's obviously a lot to choose from. but you know what? full send, i'm going with this one:
Tumblr media
i just. what to say about this. how often do misha and jensen watch sunsets together for it to qualify as ‘always’ ??? why are sunsets synonymous with their relationship??? that’s like??? a very romantic thing????? ‘this guy’??? the fact that it’s a CANDID??? i don’t know guys.
that could have been better but i am TIRED so. there you go rose ily

Tumblr media
The lobby to the hospital was full of patients waiting to be checked in. But concerning your conditions when Dean had carried you in, screaming for help, doctors and nurses had rushed you to the Emergency room, where they hooked you up with an IV bag. Fluids of morphine to help with the pain for when you woke up pumped through.
They x-rayed your whole body, finding that no bones were broken, but you would be extremely bruised for the next week or two. What they were concerned about was your brain. You were knocked pretty hard in the head. So everyone, including the Winchester brothers and Castiel had waited for you to wake up so the doctors could do some tests.
It took you almost two hours to finally rise from unconciousness. But when you did, you found yourself having trouble processing things. You could hear what the doctors were saying, but you didn't know what to say, or how to say anything.
"Ms. Y/L/N, are you feeling any pain at all?" One of the doctor's asked, your eyes slowly trailed over to the doctor. It took a while for the words to process inside of your mind. Everything was slow, your brain hurt, your entire head was throbbing, you opened your mouth to speak, but nothing was coming out. Your voice wasn't gone, you just didn't know how to pronounce a simple no. "Honey, talk to us."
Dean stood outside of the room you were in, his brother and Castiel standing behind him with curiosity running through their veins as they wondered what was going on. The door was shut, blocking any sound that anybody was making. He looked through the small squared window on the door, allowing him to peep into the room. He noticed that your mouth was moving. It was moving slowly. Confusion had spread across your face as you looked around the room, the two doctor's that were in the room with you glanced at each other all before one of them turned to the door, stepping out of the room to explain to the three men what was going on.
When the door shut behind the doctor, that's when Dean began asking questions. "What's going on with her, doc? Is she okay?" He asked. Genuine worry sounded in his voice as he watched as the doctor's face fell into a bit of sadness.
"She will be okay." The doctor explained to three men as she nodded her head. "She has bruising along her stomach and her side, but no broken bones. Our biggest concern though..." Her words trailed off. She didn't want to worry your boyfriend. She knew this would be a hard thing to deal with.
"What is it?" Dean asked, his patience was running thin. He just wanted to know what was going on with you.
The doctor inhaled a deep breath, all before she spoke. "Her stepfather kicked her pretty hard in the head. It damaged her brain." She said. The brothers and Castiel glanced at each other. Each one of them were worried, but they still focused their attention onto what the doctor was saying. "It's not permanent. It'll heal. But it could take months up to a year or two for her to get better. She is currently having trouble with her speech, the things people say to her, she is having a hard time processing. And you might have to teach her the things she had already learned before all over again, starting with walking, then writing, and then swimming and so on. Do not let her handle any knives or anything that is sharp until she is one hundred percent better."
Dean nodded his head at this information. He could feel his heart heavy in his chest as he tried his hardest to breathe. He looked back through the window and into the room. He could see your blank face as you stared at the wall. You had tears running down your face from the frustration and the confusion you were dealing with. You didn't know anything, any word you tried to get out, you struggled with. You couldn't even say your own name.
It was hard for Dean to see you like this. He wished there was some way to take all of this away, but he knew. He knew there wasn't anything he could do.
"How long is she going to have to stay here, doc?" Dean could hear his brother ask a question that was stuck in the back of everyone's mind.
"A week." The doctor said. "Just until her bruising is a bit better."
~~~
The entire week you were in the hospital, Dean had stayed. He had gone back to the bunker that first day to drop off his brother and Castiel and to pack up clothing for the next few days all before heading back to the hospital, where he would be spending the nights with you.
You didn't say anything to him. You either just slept, or stared at the wall. You couldn't bare yourself to eat actual food. You couldn't even say what you wanted to eat and that frustrated you.
So the doctor's would come up with a small bowl of Applesauce and some water with a straw.
The first time trying to eat your Applesauce, as you tried to put the spoon into your mouth, your hands were too shaky and you got Applesauce all over your hospital gown.
You fluttered your eyes shut and let out a sigh all before you tried again, just to make more of a mess. You dropped your spoon in the bowl in frustration all before balling your hand into a tight fist. You let out a frustrated cry, causing Dean to look away from the tv show that he was watching. He pushed himself out of the recliner that he was sleeping in and made his way over to you.
"Sweetheart, it's okay." Dean reassured you as he grabbed a napkin from the tray the doctor had brought up. He used it to wipe up the Applesauce you had spilt onto yourself all before throwing it into the tiny trash can near your bed. He then reached for the spoon and lifted it to your mouth. You looked up at him as though he was crazy. You weren't a baby. And it seemed he got your look as he spoke up again. "I want to help you. I'm going to help you get through this, I just-... need you to let me help you."
Your eyebrows furrowed as you allowed the words to slowly sink into your mind. It took a couple minutes, before you slowly nodded your head, opening your mouth for him to feed you.
So he did, he fed you the entire bowl of Applesauce and helped you take sips of your water. He stayed close to you the rest of the time, helping you drink some water all until you fell back asleep.
That's how it was all week. But he couldn't really help you with taking showers. That was your doctor's job. But he helped you with everything else and he planned on helping you every day after you checked out of the hospital.
Series Masterlist / Main Masterlist
Tumblr media
My name is Bella Mikaelson. I’m 25 years old living in New York, Lower Manhattan with my 8 year old daughter. I’ve lived here my entire life. I graduated from New York University Tisch School of the Arts where I spent my time studying drama and music, and also in my free time did some photography. Ever since I was a little kid all I wanted to do was perform, tell stories whether it was through acting, writing or singing a song. I did musicals all throughout high school, but during my senior year I became pregnant with my boyfriend at the time Caleb, we had been dating since sophomore year. Everything was perfect, my parents came around and supported me the same with Caleb and his parents. Sadly during my second year of Uni, he passed away in a car accident leaving me and leaving Camila fatherless, but that didn’t mean she didn’t have some good father figures. That’s when I started working harder on my studies and starting adding more hours to my job so I could make more money to make sure my daughter would have a good life growing up. During my last year of University I got a modelling job, it wasn’t anything big but it paid well. Around that time I also joined an acting agency started getting little jobs doing adverts, then getting small role in TV shows nothing big, just one liners. I had saved up a lot of money at this point and hired an manger to help me get auditions. Around 2 months later of going on auditions I get to audition for Eric Kripke for his show Supernatural. During season 14 they were looking for a new hunter who Sam and Dean come across on a hunt. Near the end of the season. So we sent in a video tape since I was nowhere near where auditions were being held. Then a few weeks later I get a call saying they wanted me to come to Vancouver and audition in person. Let’s just say I ended up getting the role and I have been living in Vancouver now for the past 4 months with my daughter Camila. My mum also came with us until I got enough money to be able to pay for a nanny to help me look after Camila while I was at work. I also spent a few weeks before filming bingeing the whole seasons from 1-13 since I hadn’t ever watched the show before.
We are currently working on the season 14 finale episode before wrapping up before head out for hiatus. My contract had already been signed as I was wanted back for season 15 as well. However, I was only staying for half the season, as they were killing my character off in the upcoming season. I was currently on set, just finished filming a scene with Jared and Jensen in baby. It was now lunch. We all headed over to catering to grab something, I ended getting a chicken salad and grabbed myself 2 bottles of water and headed to the little seating area outside where we all sat during lunch. We only had one more scene to film before we were finished for the day and would be wrapped for the season. During hiatus we had different cons we would attend to but we also had time to relax and I couldn’t wait for that, to spend loads of time with my girl and take her on a mini holiday, as we never really been on a real holiday before.
I was currently eating my salad when Jared and Jensen came over after getting their food and sat down opposite to me on the bench. We were talking about what we were doing on our time off before convention season starts which I was being invited to as the viewers really welcomed my character Toni with open arms. It was like over night my life changed. I was now financially stable for one thing, so I could make sure Camila was well looked after which was the most important thing to me.
“So Bella, What are you going to be doing during hiatus?” Jared asked while eating a chicken sandwich.
“Thinking about going home fore a little while, back to New York. Cami hasn’t seen my parents in a little while, I could tell she is missing them a lot like me. So going home for a bit to relax doesn’t seem like a bad idea. Then maybe take her on a little mini holiday, just the two of us. What about you guys” I say.
He nods “Yeah. We’re going to do pretty much the same. I like having my family around. I miss them too much” Jensen agreed with his statement.
Throughout the rest of our lunch break we continue talking about little small things and what was going to happen during con season. Once we had finished lunch we headed over got some retouches as we had just eaten and then we headed into the library set to finished our last scene for the season.
It was currently around 8pm, sine we started filming early this morning we gad enough time to get all the shots we needed and got to head home a little later than normal as while shooting the final scene Jared and Jensen kept trying to make everyone laugh but we got through it and got all the shots we needed. I was getting my belongings from my trailer and FaceTime Camila as it was getting close to her bedtime and I never liked not saying goodnight to her, even though I was leaving I just like to make sure. I could get in traffic and I would be annoyed with myself for not doing when I had the chance.
“So how was you day sweetie?” I ask.
“It was good. I finished all my math homework even though I found hard, but I figured it out” she said proudly.
I smile. She always made me smile. “Well that’s good. I’m proud of you, keep that up. Don’t give up and you can do anything sweetie. So what did you end up having for dinner tonight?”
“SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS” she screamed. I start laughing as I know that’s her favourite meal in the world.
“Ohhh. I’m jealous. Hehe. Well I’m gonna just about to leave work right now to come home ok. I’m going to try and get home in time baby, but if I don’t I’m gonna say goodnight now ok.”
“Ok mummy. Goodnight. I love you.”
“I love you too my sweet baby”
“Goodnight”
“Sweet dreams petal.” Then we end the call and I finished putting my things away in my bags when a knock comes from my trailer door. I call for the person to come in, when Jensen pops in with Jared following him.
“Hey Bella” Jensen said while leaning on the counter and Jared sat down on the sofa.
“Hey, What do you guys need?” I ask while putting my laptop into its case with its charger.
“We forgot to ask you this at lunch today, we are having a BQQ in a couple weeks. It’ll be our to families as well at the Collins. Alex is coming we just spoke with him, now we are asking you? You think you’ll be free Sunday before the Cons start?” Jensen said.
“Errmmm… let me check my calendar.” I say and get out my phone and opening up my calendar app. I had nothing planned. “Nope, looks like I free that weekend.”
“Great! You’re coming then. I’ll text you the address, it’ll be at my house. Bring Camila too. It’ll be nice to have all little ones around together.” Jared said.
“Yeah” I said with a smile. We said our goodbyes and they headed off while I collected my packed bags and headed to my car and leaving and heading back to my Vancouver home. If I rushed I would make it just in time before Camila had to be in bed.
Matchmakers
Pairing: Alex x Reader
Warnings: the fluffiest of fluff, Swearing
Series Summary:
Since I joined the cast of Supernatural, 5 years ago, they have made it their mission to find me a boyfriend, but things haven’t been exactly easy. But when a new face joins the cast, the Padaleckis, the Ackles, and the Collins take it upon themselves to use the hiatus to become matchmakers.
PART 11
Tumblr media
"I don't think that's how you do it" Alex mutters as he stares at the pile of tubes that I have laying around.
"I know what I'm doing" I grunt, sticking the pole into the hole, the tent starting to look like an actual tent.
"Have you ever done this before?" He asks as he hands me the next piece.
"Of course" I bite my lip as I push hard on the pole until it stands correctly like the other ones.
"This is your first time" Alex chuckles as I look back at the tent, ready to be used.
"Yup" I grin, pressing the palm of my hands against my shorts to clean some of the sweat.
"Well, it looks decent so that's good" He plants a kiss on the top of my head before turning around to see the others placing their tents.
"So quickly?" Jensen frowns when he notices we are done.
"I give it a couple of hours before it falls" Jared smirks when I try to flip him off.
"You are just jealous because I finished first" I stick my tongue out at him only to have Odette do the same.
"You are a bad example for my kids, Y/N" Jared glares at me, obviously kidding.
"I can teach the kids how to make a tent unlike their father" I say smugly, picking up Odette from the sand.
"Can you stop bickering and make the fire?" Gen raises her eyebrow, not amused by our five year old attitudes.
"On it" Alex brings some of the wood we collected to the center, the tents making a circle around it.
All the families have a tent for themselves, meaning that Alex and I are sharing which I don't mind at all. But I am nervous, tho. We have been sharing a room all of these days but today we are sharing a tent so there's not gonna be a lot of space between us. Do I want to have space? I mean, have you seen the guy? Who would want space?
"Babe, can you pass me the matches?" Alex asks me without looking up at me as he places the wood in a little pile.
I feel my ears getting hot and my cheeks a deep shade of red as I stand there without moving. I hear the girls giggle and so does Alex, turnibg around to see what the fuss is all about.
"What?" He asks frowning as Misha wiggles his eyebrows.
"Babe" Jared mocks him as Jensen makes some kissy sounds.
"Oh, leave him alone" Gen swats Jared's arm, glaring at Jensen and Misha.
I turn to look act Alex, expecting him to be embarrased about the jokes the guys are making but he just gives me a breath taking wink before turning back to the fire. This guy is going to be the death of me.
"Y/N, can you help us?" Mason calls my attention as she and the other kids are trying to make open up the packets to make smores.
"With pleasure" I smile at her as she hands me the marshmallows' bag.
I spend a couple of minutes with the kids, playing with the sand, as we wait for Alex to light up the fire.
"You can do the smores, now" Alex informs us so the kids move to sit around it, keeping a safe distance.
"Not bad" I shrug, wrapping my arms around his waist as we watch the kids to make sure they don't get burned.
"I'm sorry" He mutters, moving his eyes between me and the kids.
"For?"
"Calling you that in front of everyone" He bites the inside of his cheek. "I don't know if you liked it or not or if it-"
I stop him with a quick kiss, smiling against his lips. "I loved it"
"Really?" His faces softens, giving me a side smile.
"And that wink almost knocked all the air out of me" I chuckle when his smile turns into a smirk. "You don't know the things you do to me, Calvert"
"Can we go for a walk?" He asks me, a sparkle in his eyes that makes me want to kiss all of his face.
"Guys, we are going for a couple of minutes" I shout, not even looking to see if the guys heard me.
Alex grabs my hand, guiding me as we move away from the group. The sky is a combination of pink and purple tones, the sun almost gone behind the mountains.
Alex starts laughing as he wraps his arms around me, nuzzling my neck. I love when he laughs like that. That laugh that is almost just smiles and pure happines, his eyes barely opened. It's contagious, at least to me.
"What?" I grin as he places a kiss over my shoulder, hugging me tighter.
"I just... We came here being just friends, occasionally flirting but nothing much. And now we are here and I can't imagine holding anyone in my arms as the sun sets, other than you" He turns me around, arms still around. "I'm being too cheesy. Is this too much?"
"No, because I don't anyone else to hold me between their arms as the sun sets, other than you" I bring my arms up around his neck so that I can pull him down to meet my lips.
"I know that I have called myself your boyfriend and that I said we were dating" He chuckles when I roll my eyes, remembering when he was jealous. "But I want you to be as sure as I am about this so-"
I place my hand over his mouth, stopping him. "Alex Calvert, do you want to be my boyfriend?"
"I-" He stares at me for a couple of seconds, trying to hold back a laugh. "Yes, I do"
"Great" I pull him again but he already knows what I'm going to to so he meets me halfway, connecting our lips in the most heart shattering, ground shaking kiss.
I don’t know who's hands belong to who but it doesn't matter because Alex is kissing me and I am kissing him and it's everything you expect in life. His lips are really y soft but the kiss is hard and his hands hold me in place, wrapped around him.
-
"Stop it" I whine as Jared takes my smore once again. "Gen"
"Jared, I don't want to repeat myself, behave" She warns him.
"Accusing me with my wife, very mature" He mocks me, making an ugly face.
"You keep taking my food" I pout, making another smore before moving it around the fire.
"Sharing is caring, Y/N" Misha gives me his judgy face before turning to Alex. "I hope you teach better manners to my grandkids"
"Are you girls going to the convention in a couple of weeks?" I decide to ignore Misha, looking back at Gen, Vic and Dee.
"I think so" Danneel looks back at Gen, waiting for her answer but since she just took a bite, she just nods back.
"Me too" Vicky smiles at me as she hands a napkin to Gen.
"You won't have to deal with these guys in your own" Gen finally manages to speak, some chocolate left between her teeth.
"You say that like Y/N is an angel" Jensen huffs sipping at his beer. "She can be the devil if she wants to"
"And she tends to want to" Alex laughs but stops when I elbow him slightly.
"Careful or you'll end up sleeping outside" Jared warns him, earning a laugh around the circle.
"I'm kidding" Alex kisses my cheek, smiling slightly when I try to pull away.
"You should be thanking us, Y/N" Jensen puts his beer down, near his chair. "If it wasn't for us, you and Alex would still be on denial"
"Excuse me?" Dee narrows her eyes, leaning closer to Jensen. "It's thank to us"
"Your plan sucked" Vicky grins, Jensen frowning almost as if he was insulted.
"It did not" Jared fights back only to have Gen snort.
"Babe, your plan to ask me out was pretty bad" She laughs when he stares at her. "You are lucky you are really cute because your flirting skills are not that good"
"And yet you still fell for me" He winks at her before covering her lips with his.
"I wonder what went wrong" I laugh but Jared throws me a sea shell to my head, before turning back to his wife.
-
"I'm exhausted" I yawn as Alex pulls me closer to his chest.
Everyone is already at their corresponding tents and the fire is out, leaving only the moon to give us some light.
I close my eyes, my heart beat slowing down as I feel Alex's under my head.
"When should we tell the fans?" Alex's voice makes me open my eyes.
"I think we should let it happen organically" I mumble, closing my eyes again as he runs his fingers through my hair. "I don't want to make a public announcement, it feels...weird"
"Fake" I feel him nod, as my eyes get heavier by the second.
"Exactly, now how about we sleep?" I hug him tighter, hiding my head between his neck.
"Good night" He whispers, rubbing circles in my back.
We stay in silent for a couple of seconds, just the sound of the water hitting the sore and the crickets hiding in the trees.
That's until I feel something soft land over me.
"Y/N" Alex sights but doesn't move.
"What is it?" I don't even open my eyes, too tired to even try.
"The tent just went down on us" I know he is trying to hold back a laugh by how his voice sounds.
"Fuck me" I open my eyes to see that we are trapped under the poles and the fabric.
"Okay but how is that going to fix the tent?" Alex asks me with a humorous tone in his voice.
"Get your mind out of the gutter and let's fix this" I groan, trying not to laugh back so that he can take me seriously.
Like I said.
He is going to be the death of me.
"Told you" Jared's shout startles me, reminding me of what he said about my tent.
"Shut up, Big Foot" I groan, pushing back the tent so that we can fix it.
You did not want to be here. It wasn't that you didn't like the parties or events that came with being famous, but it was your birthday. And it was always too much of a hassle, dressing up, putting on a smile because god forbid if your face is neutral because then you're fake, and making your voice as cheerful as possible because you don't want to sound like an uptight bitch... but it is better than being at home with your lovers. You just wanted to sit at home, alone, and watch a movie.
But instead you were at party with all your friends and their husbands and wives in an emotionally exhausting environment. You cared about these people, yes, even loved a few of them, but the idea of spending hours at party walking and talking and drinking and knowing that one slip-up could make you the next celebrity scandal took its toll. Especially when the party is being held in your honor, marking your fifth year on Supernatural and twenty-seventh birthday, it was all so tiring to say the least.
It was getting late and you were in need of an escape when you heard your name being called, turning around to see Danneel and Jensen. You walked over to them quickly, hugging them tightly, and asking them to take you as far away from the party as possible.
_____
"I've missed London," You said as you leaned over the balcony, "Too bad I'm spending my time at party and not at home."
"Why don't you just ask people to stop throwing parties on your behalf?" Danneel asked you. "It would clearly be much better for you."
"It's rude."
"Nothing's rude about asking to not do something that makes you uneasy." Jensen said, smiling sweetly.
"Trying telling that to my boyfriend," You sighed. "Or my girlfriend."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Danneel asked you, moving to your other side and putting her hand on your bare shoulder and your skin lit up at the contact.
"Oh, no, nothing bad or anything, they just, you know, encourage me to-"
"Go to places that make you anxious." She said, rubbing her hand down your back and you tucked your face into her neck. It wasn't a secret that you used to have feelings for Jensen and Danneel, and you acted on them once. For about a week and you were sure you fell in love, for at least right then. But it was before you were on Supernatural, before you were an actress and was still just a model, it was before you found your partners, Jameson and Lilia, it was before they got married and had JJ and the twins. It was before. It's the past that you can never relive.
And you were never sure if they reciprocated those feelings, sure sometimes they flirted with you, but it wasn't really flirting, but it wasn't the way that they treated Jared or Misha or Gen or Rob or Rich, any of your friends. Sometimes they acted like they did want to be with you, but it was more like, if we could, we would do this. If you weren't in a relationship, if we weren't famous. If, if, if. It was all just "what if's" and "if we could's", and you were almost sure that- they're married and I'm in a relationship, I need to stop thinking like this. They're just flirting.
"Can you get me out of here?" And come home with me? You said, moving your head from Danneel's neck and turning to look at Jensen.
"Do you mean 'get you out of here' like 'go back to our hotel room and give you awesome birthday sex' or 'get you out of here' like 'take me home so you can make fun of our old shows'?" Danneel flirted. But it wasn't serious, and no matter how much you wanted to go back to there hotel and fuck until you can't remember your own name... you just can't.
"I'm in a relationship." If you could even call it that anymore.
"We know." Jensen said and gave you soft kiss on your cheek. "Where are they?"
"They didn't want to come." With me.
_____
When you got back to your apartment, you weren't surprised to see the mess. It wasn't unusual for you to come home after work or a party to find your place looking like hell, always deciding to throw a party of there own. It was unusual to not find your lovers passed out on your couch.
"Jameson? Lilia? Loves where are you?" You said as you walked through your house. "You guys home?"
When you found them in your shared bedroom they were dressed and ready to go out and spend a night in London, and they were also packing their bags.
"Babes? Where're you going?" You asked as you stepped into the room.
"We were, uh," Lili said, looking to James, "We were just leaving dear."
"Leaving? Leaving where? Do you have a photo shoot?"
"Leaving, like leaving you, Y/N." He sighed and took his bag from Lili's hand. "Look, this was fun and all, but it's time for Lili and I to get serious about our relationship."
"I, I, I thought we were serious about our relationship."
"Y/N/N, how could we be? There's three of us," Lili said, "Honey, that's not a love thing, that's a let's have fun thing."
"A year and a half, a year and a fucking half of 'let's have fun'," You said, walking closer to them, "A year and a fucking half of my life wasted for 'let's have fun,' I thought you were in love with me."
"How could we be in love with you while you were in love with other people?"
_____
Fucking bastards. 'How could we be in love with you while you were in love with other people?' My ass. You thought as you took a shot of whiskey. You were not in love with Jensen and Danneel. They're my friends, my best friends I am not in love with them. They were just the people that you went to when you should be going to your lovers, ex-lovers, the ones who make everything better when you know that it won't. They've always been there for you. And they offered themselves to you! Tonight! Screw your faithful ass, they would have been worth it. By now you were on the strong side of tipsy and felt like I have to do something! You took one last shot for courage and left your apartment.
_____
When you got to the hotel you're friends were staying at, you knocked on the Ackles' room door, soaked in rain and with a tear-stained face. When Jensen opened the door, Danneel by his side, you, slightly drunkly, wrapped your arms around his waist and asked if the offer still stands, pressing sloppy kisses to the side of his neck and reached for Dee's hand.
"Not until you're sober and tell us why you've been crying, Y/N/N."
They took you inside and you talked and cried and they told you that you didn't deserve to be dumped like that, you got the slightest bit more sober and they got a little drunker. You fell asleep with your head on Danneel’s shoulder.
_____
_____
You woke up a few hours later, the clock said it was 2:30 in the morning, holding Danneel and Jensen was holding you. You tried to get up but only succeeded in waking them both up.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." You said and slipped your arms out from under Danneel. "Go back to sleep."
"Leaving already?" Jensen said jokingly, letting you go.
"Sadly so, I've taken up too much of your night already. I don't want to invade."
"You don't have to go." Danneel said, her voice was friendly but her eyes were lustful. "If you want, you can stay here with us tonight."
"Oh really?" You said and turned to face her, taking some of her hair twirling it in your finger. "And what would we be doing?"
Jensen put his hand on your waist and kissed you softly on your cheek. "Each other?"
"Fine by me." You said and Danneel kissed you, her lips were warm and soft and her kiss was gentle and sweet. Her kiss became deeper and Jensen kissed your neck, both of their hands going under your shirt.
You broke the kiss to take off your shirt, leaving you in just a bra and jeans, and straddle Jensen, leaning down to kiss him passionately. His hands went around your back and unclipped your bra, you leaned back to take it off while he took of his shirt.
Danneel put her hands on your hips and gently nipped at your jaw, you grabbed her hands and brought them up to your breasts. She massaged your breasts as you shared a passionate kiss, grinding against Jensen's confined erection. She put her hand down your jeans and into your panties, just barely brushing her fingers against your slit. You moaned and grinded harder against Jensen.
"Dee, honey, you are wearing way too man clothes." Jensen said, reaching down to unbuckle his belt. "We all are."
You grinned and got off the bed, pulling down your pants and your underwear, Jensen took off his pants and his boxers. Danneel kneeled on the bed and took off her shirt, she wasn't wearing a bra. You and Jensen both groaned at the sight and he pulled his wife in for a kiss and she shimmed out of her jeans and pulled off her panties.
You watched as they kissed and grind against each other, remember those few nights all those years ago and wonder why did you let them go.
"Are you gonna join us or are you just gonna watch?" Danneel asked, reaching down and wrapping her hand around her husband thick cock, making him groan.
You got back onto the bed and crawled over to them, taking Jensen's cock in your hand and kissing Danneel. You put your other hand in between her legs and run your fingers through her folds, collecting her arousal. You put your fingers in your mouth, tasting her sweet juices.
"You taste great."
"Doesn't she?"
Danneel crawled up Jensen's body, still facing you and kneeled over his face.
"Wanna taste?" He whispered a quick yes and pulled her down onto his face and started to eat her like she was gonna be his last meal. She moaned loudly and looked you dead in your eyes, and beckoned you over with her finger. You moved to kneel right next to her as she ride her husband's face and kissed you harshly, making you moan into her kiss.
"You wanna suck him off?" Dee said between kisses. "You suck Jay while he eats me out and I'll eat you? You'd love that, wouldn't you?"
"Fuck yes." You said and put your knees on each side of Jensen's stomach and bent over, giving Dee a perfect view of your cunt and took Jensen's member in your hand and slowly licked up his cock making him groan. Danneel bent over as well and lick a strip up your slit making moan out in surprise. "Oh, fuck." You took the head of Jensen's cock into your mouth sucking him into your warm wet heat and bobbed your head.
Dee teased your outer lips with the tip of her tongue until you were begging for her to fuck you. She smiled against your cunt and sucked your clit into her mouth and slipped a finger into your wet pussy, then another and you moaned around Jensen's dick. She moaned and grinded against Jensen's face and curled her fingers in a "come hither" motion and you took Jensen's dick as far into your mouth as you could, she thrusted her fingers against your G-spot and you moan loudly, coming hard. She fingered you through your orgasm and you sucked Jensen harder until he came, shooting ropes of his thick come down your throat. Danneel came as Jensen sucked her clit into his mouth, moaning softly and biting her lips. All three of you rolled off of each, took a shower together and fell asleep, not thinking about how you should be getting back to your apartment before anyone knows you’re here.
How... do you personally read Cas? I mean, the glasses do make sense in a way, since he does have a penchant for learning (then and even now, like he's in on the journey alongside his ward Jack). But I don't know if glasses do the overall picture justice...
IDK how to keep it short tbh, I could write whole essays on how I read Cas ;)
I just think it’s interesting how people pick up on different things. Eg. I just don’t read Cas as some unknowing, hesitant, unconfident, crying ball of nonsense. Like,
Tumblr media
Have ya MET Cas?
He’s a confident bucket of sass who’s canonically watched humanity for eons. Sure of course his story is that for years he lost that confidence due to the situation he’s found himself in but his endgame is to gain that back you know? His PERSONALITY hasn’t changed, who he is deep down hasn’t changed, he’s not some blubbering wreck of a dude with no clue about the world and a need to be rocked to sleep whilst being sung a lullaby cos he’s oh so friggin delicate. He just didn’t know about pop culture (he does now) or have personal practice in things like eating and sex (he does now) so like… I struggle to understand the concept of this snivelling wreck in fics sometimes (and weak, don’t even get me started on physically weak, pale, pasty Cas, URGH have you met Misha or heard how much everyone in the show goes on about how HOT he is all the time?!). Even in the show when he was at his most depressed and suicidal he wasn’t pathetic.
So yeah, I think everyone can read him how they like, I just personally don’t see any reason in canon to read him like that, once he’s who he truly is, without the self doubt etc (and that’s how I read all of them, who they truly are beneath all the crap that they are going through, like I don’t read Sam as being happy in Dean’s shadow or Dean happy in the closet you know?).
So yeah, back to the topic of glasses, I do see why people read him as a bookworm, hell I do too, but not just this. Sometimes I read / see the idea that he’s just a bookworm who waits at home while the boys go out to hunt and literally just reads lore until Dean comes home and makes him dinner. Jesus. He’s also a brilliant fighter and strategist, he’s even a little vain, he’s someone who loves PB&J and watching nature and civilisation documentaries while stuffing his face with toffee popcorn who then can turn it off and spend 3 hours taking his boyfriend apart with his tongue and enjoy the hell out of all of it equally (well not equally but you know what I mean :p).
IDK, like, his whole humanity arc purposefully showed us that he’s not just interested in learning and serious things. That was kinda the whole point of his humanity arc, it’s exposition of what he wants, what his endgame is. Even if you don’t adhere to the human!cas endgame it still showed us what he wants overall - peace, a sense of purpose, a home, family etc. Basing a reading of the character on how he is when he’s depressed / repressed is kind of missing the point. It’s like omitting Sam’s character from s1-3 (eg. his wacky fashion sense, self confidence, the kind of women he was interested in etc) and all the moments we see beneath Dean’s facade eg. how he enjoys cake as well as pie, loved riding Larry, all the bi meta, Taylor Swift, the confessional scene, the list goes on. For Cas so much of this is in the snippets where he is doing something for himself or something he truly believes in, basically when he’s not doing what he perceives as duty ie. when he’s human was the biggest exposition but also his sass towards Lucifer who he gives zero shits about, his sass towards Dean who he’s comfortable with being himself around eg. 12x10 and clearly for me his exposition that he never wanted to take his grace back but did it due to his sense of duty to save Sam and Heaven.
He’s so multifaceted and you have to really look beyond the surface level to read him as 90% of the time we see him on screen he’s doing what he thinks he should do, not what he wants to do. You have to find the times when he’s truly being himself and base your character reading on that.
So yeah, different readings are all totally valid I just personally read him as a very well rounded, complex character who loves to read a book sure and glasses, why the hell not?! and get stuck into a deep conversation with Sam about the inner workings of the human psyche but also would totally argue with Dean and Charlie for hours about how Legolas is a far cooler than Gimli and Aragorn and Arwen are the best romance couple of all time and it’s a travesty how it ends but he read a brilliant fanfic where it all got fixed so they lived happily ever after and he far prefers that version :P
Imagine...Playing Truth or Dare
Tumblr media
Summary: Dean and the reader play truth or dare one night after getting stuck due to weather where Dean learns some unfortunate truths about the reader’s love life...
Pairing: Dean x reader
Warnings: brief language
“The storm should be out of here by morning,” said Dean, stretching as he stood up. “Unless you really want to drive in this.”
“And get back to Sam and his sneezing? No thanks,” you said, peering over the back of the couch. “I wish when we stopped for a break we’d brought a movie or something.”
“They don’t exactly sell VHS’ anymore sweetheart,” he teased, wandering over to the fridge. “No internet, no TV. At least we got power.”
“Now it’s going to go out!” you said, Dean sticking his head out, holding up his hands.
“Well would you look at that...still on,” he said, laughing at himself, going back to pulling out two beers. “If you want to read your book I can find something to occupy myself with.”
“I finished this morning,” you said, Dean twisting the cap off the bottle, handing it over.
“Truth or dare?” he said, taking a seat at the other end of the couch, throwing his legs over yours. “I know you want to...”
“You realize how old you are,” you said.
“That’s not a no,” he said with a grin. “I’ll go first. Come on, hit me with your best shot.”
“I thought I could be bendy,” said Dean, laughing as he got back up from the floor.
“Dean Winchester can’t do yoga to save his life apparently. You should start working out with me and Sam in the mornings, you know,” you said, Dean shaking his head. “Alright, you tried. My turn wasn’t it?”
“Truth or dare?” he asked, twiddling his fingers together.
“Truth,” you said, taking a sip of your third beer of the night.
“When was the last time you were in a long term relationship, so for people like us, let’s call that more than two dates,” said Dean.
“Easy. Never,” you said, taking another sip. “Your turn, truth or-”
“Never? Oh come on, you got to tell the truth, that’s the game, Y/N,” said Dean. “You’re telling me you’ve never had an actual boyfriend?”
“I’m telling you I’ve never had an actual boyfriend,” you said with a shrug. “Now truth-”
“I don’t believe that,” said Dean, shaking his head.
“Truth or dare, Dean?” you asked, Dean going for dare, quickly running around outside the cabin once before he plopped back in. He had a smirk on his face when he got back so you went for truth again.
“Why have you never had a boyfriend?” asked Dean.
“Seriously? You’re taking away from the fun of the game, Dean,” you said, crossing your arms.
“All I did was ask a question,” he said holding up his hands.
“Guys are dicks, that’s why,” you said. “Are you going to play the game or not?”
“No, we’re done with the game. I want to know why guys are dicks,” said Dean, cocking his head. “I’ve seen you at the bar before, take a guy or two back to your room.”
“Yeah, it’s different, that’s just sex so he gets want he wants, I get what I want and we go our separate ways in the morning,” you said, Dean’s lips pressed into a hard line. “You hookup with people all the time.”
“Y/N, I’m your friend. I was only asking why you, the look for the good in the world, my little ray of sunshine who believes in love at first sight and all that crap, has never had a relationship,” said Dean. “It’s just odd to me is all.”
“Maybe it’s because I’ve been asked out on enough dates where the guy didn’t show up or I go on one and think we hit it off and then he’s out with some woman that’s way prettier the next night or a million other reasons. Trust me Dean. I’m great at being friends with guys but I’m not girlfriend material, never will be,” you said.
“For someone incredibly smart, that’s a really stupid thing to believe,” said Dean. You gawked at him, his shoulders shrugging back. “Sure, guys can be dicks. It doesn’t mean every single one on the planet is.”
“Obviously the issue is me and not them if they all do it,” you said, Dean shaking his head, tugging on your arm so you sat next to him.
“The issue is you believe that you’ve done something wrong,” said Dean. “You’re smart, pretty, funny...not to mention you can gank a vamp like no one else I know. Those guys are fucking idiots for turning you down.”
“Sure,” you said, rolling your eyes. “It’s getting late. We should head to bed so we can head out first thing.”
“Alright,” said Dean. He smiled and leaned over, the kiss you were expecting on your cheek or forehead missing the mark, hitting your lips instead.
“What’d you do that for?” you asked, Dean moving in and kissing you again.
“I think it’s time you had a boyfriend,” said Dean. “I’m kind of a whole load of messed up but I’ll eat the burnt pieces of pizza and let you have the good ones if you want.”
“Dean, this isn’t funny,” you said.
“Good because I’m not laughing,” he said. “I’ll spend the whole night telling you why I want to give this shot if I have to.”
“Good luck with that.”
“Here,” said Dean softly as the sun was coming up, handing you a cup of coffee.
“Thanks,” you said, Dean running a hand over your head gently, tucking a piece of hair behind your ear.
“Where was I? I think I was still on your laugh,” said Dean. You reached a hand up and grabbed the one on your head, glancing back at him with a smile.
“I always thought you were a good friend Dean. I didn’t realize how good of one you thought I’ve been to you over the years,” you said.
“I’ve been awful to you, pushed you away, nearly got you killed a dozen times, actually got you killed once, and you know what? You stayed with me, told me I’m good and made me happy when I didn’t want to be...you’re important to me, Y/N, and I wish I’d told you all of this sooner,” said Dean. “But I can’t so all I can do is try to make up for those assholes.”
“It’s not on you to do that, you know,” you said. Dean gave you a smile, knowing that you should know better by now than to tell him he couldn’t try to help you. “The storm cleared out if you want to try for home.”
“Mind if I get a few hours of shut eye first? I get a little distracted when I’m talking about you in case you haven’t realized,” he said.
“Yeah, I realized,” you said, shifting your legs on the couch. “Take a nap and we’ll head out in a few hours.”
“Perfect. Later on tonight, I can take you on the best date of your life,” he said.
“Are you sure you want to do that?” you asked, giving him one last out he’d never take in a million years.
“I’ll pick you up at your room at eight, sweetheart.”
Part Five
Master List
Pairing: Misha x OFC Word Count: 1,690 Warnings: None? Language probably A/N: Part five is here ladies and gents! Thank you all so much for your support on this! I’ve been holding on to this for a while, wanting to wait until today to post it because it’s OC Day! A HUGE thank you to Nicole (aka @iwantthedean) for betaing this for me, without her this story would never see the light of day. Anyway, feedback for this is awesome! :)
The day Ophelia returned to work after recovering from the flu, Christine walked into the shop looking more pissed off than Ophelia had ever seen her. She ignored Ophelia’s greeting, not even bothering to look at the other woman as she walked to the back to store her bag and jacket. After a few minutes, Christine emerged from the back room and went straight to balancing the shelves. After working in silence for a while, Ophelia decided she couldn’t take it anymore.
 “You okay?” Ophelia asked.
 “Yup,” Christine replied curtly and still without a look in Ophelia’s direction.
 “Did something happen?”
 “Nope.”
 With a frustrated sigh, Ophelia ran her fingers through her hair. She would rather send Christine home than deal with this treatment all day.
 “Did I do something to you?” Ophelia pressed.
 Christine just shrugged and moved on to another shelf.
 “Seriously, Chrissy, what the fuck is up with you?”
 With a huff, Christine stopped balancing the shelves and turned to face Ophelia, crossing her arms over her chest.
 “You can spend the last three days hanging out with Misha, but you can’t come to work?” Christine bit out.
 Ophelia’s eyes grew and her brow nearly hit her hairline. “What?”
 “You heard me. I’ve seen him going to your house every night since you got sick!”
 “So what? He was coming to keep me company, why does that bother you so much?”
 “It doesn’t -- I just think if you’re feeling well enough to hang out with some guy all night, then you’re well enough to come to work and not leave me in the lurch during the busiest time of the year for us.”
 “Us? Really?” Ophelia scoffed. “I own this place, and you’re not even on the payroll. You come and help out. There is no us and if you’re so pissed off about it, then you can leave.”
 “Fine. I will.”
 Christine stomped into the back room to grab her things before storming toward the front of the shop.
 “And for the record, all we did was watch movies!” Ophelia called out after her, not entirely sure why she felt like she needed to justify herself or any part of her life to Christine.
 Christine flipped Ophelia the bird before letting the door slam behind her. Ophelia let out a frustrated groan and went to finish balancing the shelves. She wasn’t worried about having to deal with the rush of customers by herself; she’d done it plenty of times before. What she was worried about, however, was not having a single minute to herself for the entire day.
 ***
 By the time lunch time rolled around, Ophelia was ready to close the shop for the day and go to bed. She knew she couldn’t just up and close during such a busy time, though, so she continued to help the endless myriad of customers that walked through the door. About the time Misha walked in, Ophelia was ringing out one customer and motioning for another to wait with his question until she could help him. It was the same time Misha always showed up to do his research, but this time the place was far from empty.
 Ophelia acknowledged his presence with a small smile as she finished ringing out her customer. Misha returned the smile and walked behind the counter just as the customer stepped away with her purchase.
 “It’s crazy in here,” he commented. “Where’s Chrissy?”
 “She left,” Ophelia said, rolling her eyes as another customer walked up to the register. “We got into a fight, and she stormed out.”
 “You’ve had to deal with all of this all day alone?”
 “Pretty much,” she replied, ringing the customer up while one of her regulars not-so-politely reminded her that he still needed help on the floor. “Give me a minute, Alan!”
 “Do you need some help? I don’t know much about the stock but I do know how to work a register,” Misha offered.
 “Really?!” Her petite features flooded with relief.
 Misha nodded. “Yes, really.”
 “You’re a godsend, thank you!” she exclaimed, leaning over to kiss his cheek. “Finish ringing this guy out, if you don’t mind. I have to help Alan before he loses his mind. He’s been coming in here once a week for years -- you’d think he’d know everything by now.”
 Misha chuckled as he watched her make her way across the shop. It took him a minute to figure out the register, but once he got the hang of it, he was able to get all of the customers rung out with ease. Within an hour of his arrival, the shop had emptied out. Finally, Ophelia was able to close for lunch.
 “You want something to eat?” Ophelia asked, slumping against the front of the counter. “I’m fucking starving.”
 “I could eat,” Misha chuckled. “Want me to go grab us some pizza or something?”
 “Nah, I’ll go get it,” Ophelia said, forcing herself to stand upright. “I need to get out of this place, even if it’s only for ten minutes. If you wouldn’t mind straightening up a little while I’m gone, that would be great.”
 “Yeah, no problem,” Misha smiled.
 Ophelia smiled at him and went into the back room to grab her purse and jacket.
 “Pepperoni okay?” she asked as she came out of the back room and pushed her arms through the sleeves of her jacket.
 “Perfect.”
 “Okay, I’ll be back in a few.”
 She gave him a small smile and asked him to lock the door behind her. He followed her to the door, waving a little as she started the short walk to the pizzeria a few doors down from The Hexbag. She placed her order, then took a seat by the front window of the restaurant while she waited. As she watched the people walking by, a man standing across the street stared at her; his gaze caught her attention. A short wave of recognition passed through her brain, and her heart stopped. There was no way she could be seeing the man she thought she was seeing.
 Ophelia didn’t have time to think about it, though, as the man behind the counter announced that her pizza was ready. She paid him and quickly made way out of the pizzeria to find the man she had seen on the sidewalk. She wasn’t quick enough it seemed; he was already gone. She took light steps back to her shop, and by the time Misha unlocked the door and let her in, Ophelia’s entire body was shaking.
 Misha noticed instantly the change in her demeanor. Though relief had started to relax her muscles when she left, she was now tense all over again, not to mention white a sheet and looking as though she may faint right there in front of him. Just in case, he made quick work of placing the pizza on the counter and helping her onto a stool before going back to lock the door again.
 “You okay?”
 “Yeah,” she answered, clearing her throat when her voice came out too weak to be convincing.
 “You sure?” he asked, concern furrowing his brow and make his bright blue eyes a shade darker. “You look like you’ve just seen a ghost.”
 “I very well might have,” she said, taking her jacket off. She had stopped shaking, but now felt as though the room was overheating.
 Misha cocked a curious eyebrow at her.
 “You go ahead and start eating,” she directed. “I’m gonna throw this stuff in the back and then I’ll explain everything.”
 Not wanting to stress her any further, Misha went back to the counter while Ophelia stored her things in the back room. She returned seconds later and grabbed her slice of pizza. They ate in silence for a few minutes. Curiosity nearly got the best of him, but Misha held on to his questions while she ate, certain that she would offer answers when she was ready. Sure enough, when she was not quite done with her pizza, she wiped her mouth with a napkin before clearing her throat a second time.
 “I thought I saw my dead boyfriend,” she stated, cutting straight to the point. “For a couple weeks after he died, I thought I was seeing him everywhere, but I knew it was my mind and grief playing tricks on me. Christine told me she saw him, too, and agreed it was our minds and grief -- after all, Christopher was her twin brother. This time, though, it was different. He looked so...real. He’s been dead for six months so I probably sound crazy, but I’m sure it was him.”
 “You don’t sound crazy,” Misha assured. “If you don’t mind me asking, how did he die?”
 Ophelia sighed and took another bite of her pizza before continuing. “It was sudden. A brain aneurysm. He was there one second and gone the next.” She had to pause then to fight the oncoming tears. “I’ve spent a lot of time over the last six months trying to get over him, and I was finally there -- or I thought I was. But now, all of those emotions seem brand new. I’ll be fine, I’m sure. Once I convince myself it wasn’t really him, that is.”
 “I’m sorry, Lia,” was all Misha had to offer, besides a squeeze of her hand.
 “Thanks,” she sighed and went back to eating her pizza.
 Misha did feel sorry for her for having to go through the grief and confusion again, but he would be lying if he selfishly found him concerned for other reasons at seeing Ophelia so upset. His feelings were undeniable; they had come out of nowhere, it seemed, but they were stronger than anything he had felt for any other woman he’d been involved with before. Between Ophelia’s certainty that she had seen Christopher walking around town -- and more than once -- and his recent research on necromancy, his mind ran wild. The possibility of Ophelia’s ex-boyfriend coming back from the grave would surely only work to once again erect the walls Misha had worked so carefully to break down.
According to You (part 8)
Words: 1.7k
Summary: You and Misha deal with separation and Paul comes home with a surprise.
Warnings: Mentions of sex, possibly unwanted fluff, aspects of cheating
A/N: This is the second version of this past because the last one got eaten somehow; so sorry for the delay. Feedback motivates my writing muse, so an extra thank you to everyone that leaves some. If you'd like to be added to my tag list, just shoot me an ask or DM because Tumblr doesn't always notify me of comments and reblogs.
Misha is single in this series and, as always, no hate or disrespect towards Vicki or their family.
---------------
After a short plane ride to Vancouver, Misha was eager to call you to let you know he had landed safely. Unfortunately fans at the airport,  several business-related phone calls, and a drained battery had delayed him for a few hours.
Once he finally made it into his apartment, he plugged in his phone immediately. He chuckled at his own impatience; but he missed you and wanted to at least hear your voice. To his delighted surprise, he had a couple missed messages from you when his phone powered back on.
His eyes widened and his cock twitched when he saw the picture you had sent him. You were standing in front of your full length mirror with a short, satiny robe on with a coy smile on your face. The accompanying message of three simple words conveyed a bigger meaning than one might have assumed.
"Miss you already." Misha read the words out loud; a bittersweet smile etched over his face. He wished he could have brought you with him. Selfish or not, he wanted you to be completely his.
He debated calling you, but it was late enough that he worried about waking you. Initially he thought to send you a quick goodnight, comment on your photo, or simply let you know he had made it to Vancouver safely; but nothing he typed himself seemed to convey what he wanted to. His lip upturned into a soft smirk as he determined exactly what to type.
You had drifted to sleep shortly after texting Misha; assuming he had gotten caught up in his traveling and whatever else he needed to face when he got to Vancouver. The simple chime on your phone roused you from your sleep; as it was a sound you had been waiting anxiously to hear.
Staring down at the message, you immediately missed him more than you had before. Even though they were not his words, the meaning was just as heartfelt. "Some are effortless; but while their beauty seems an accident, yours has always seemed like a promise." Goodnight, Y/N You immediately recognized the poem as you had taken more interest into the poets that Misha had suggested to you.
Gregson. Nice touch. 😉 Hope your day wasn't too hectic. Misha hadn't expected a response from you, but wasn't going to complain. He thought about simply calling you, but quickly decided he needed to see your face.
You jumped and almost dropped you phone when it began to ring; answering it before you fully comprehended that it was a video call.
"I can't see you." Misha whined at the blank screen of his phone.
The dim light from your bedside lamp was bright enough to make you squint into the camera. "Is that better?"
Mishas smile dropped slightly at the realization that he had indeed woken you up. "Oh, sweetie I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to wake you. I can call you tomorrow if you want to go back to sleep."
"No, I miss you. I'm glad you called." If your words weren't reassuring enough; your warm, genuine smile would have been.
You and Misha proceeded to chat until you both found it difficult to keep your eyes open. It took some convincing, but Misha finally talked you into hanging up so you both could get some sleep.
---------------
Misha had upheld his promise to call you everyday; usually more than once. Some of the calls were forced to be short and sweet due to his busy filming schedule; but he'd make up for it when he could. The longer, more intimate often times included breathy moans of each other's names while chasing your individual releases.
It was as perfect as a long distance relationship could get. You missed each other in ways you hadn't ever experienced before and counted down the days and hours until you could be together again.
Sitting at your dining room table with your hot cup of coffee, you let yourself daydream about Misha coming home early to surprise you. As impossible as it was, the warm feeling that enveloped you provided a modicum of comfort.
The loud bang on the door shook you from your fantasy. As you approached, you briefly wondered if your fantasy had come true and wanted nothing more than to see Misha shading on your stoop.
Pulling the door open, you tried your best to fake excitement to see Paul standing there with a large smile on his face. "Hey babe, miss me?"
"Yeah!" You said in confusion and forced enthusiasm. "I thought you weren't going to be back for another few days."
"Oh, I missed you so much!" He pulled you into a tight hug that felt like he really did miss you while he was gone. It was hard to not melt into him as he pressed his lips to yours in a way that he hadn't in a long time.
He pulled away slightly, leaving you breathless and dizzy. "I've got a surprise for you."
A chill ran up your spine at his words. Surprises from Paul always made you nervous. If it was something you didn't enjoy and didn't seem excited enough about it, he would get upset with you. But sometimes his surprises were genuinely thoughtful and pleasant; you internally pleaded that it was the latter.
"How quickly can you pack a bag for yourself?" Paul asked excitedly. "You don't need much, just enough for a weekend where we probably won't leave the hotel room anyways."
You knew better than to question where you were going as Paul enjoyed surprising you. "I'll throw some stuff together as fast as I can."
---------------
Just a few hours later, you found yourself in a fancy suite overlooking the Vegas strip. The hesitation had started to fade away and you let yourself feel giddy and excited. You had no idea what made Paul spring something like this on you, but at the moment you didn't care.
Once the initial excitement drained away, guilt weaseled its way through. You were now even father away from Misha and wished you were spending this long weekend with him instead of Paul. That wish only served to intensify that guilt when Paul wrapped his arms around you, kissed your temple, and told you how much he loved you.
"So what is all of this for?" You asked gesturing to the luxurious setting around you.
"Can't I do something nice for my special girl?" His sincere tone and bright smile brought back a familiar warmth that he used to make you feel. Standing before you appeared to be the Paul that you fell in love with; the man that rescued you from your lowest point.
You threw your arms around his neck and smiled. "Of course you can."
After he fell asleep the first night, you ducked out on to the balcony and cringed at the sight of a few missed calls and text messages from Misha. He had clearly started to become worried about your lack of responses over the last several hours.
He answered the phone quickly; trying, but failing, to hide the concern in his voice. "Hey Y/N, you didn't get kidnapped or anything today did you?"
"I'm so sorry, Mish." Hearing his voice again made your heart flutter and the guilt return over making him worry. "I kind of was kidnapped. I'm in Vegas… with Paul."
"Oh…" Misha didn't even bother hiding the disappointment in his voice. "Is everything ok? Is he being good to you?"
"Yeah." You sighed. "Everything is fine. He's actually in an extra good mood." Not wanting to talk about Paul, you paused before changing the subject. "I'm sorry I worried you. I miss you."
"I miss you too." The smile you could hear in his voice out you at ease. "They're calling me back to set, so I gotta go. We can talk longer tomorrow."
You were disappointed that the call had to be so short; but happy you got to talk to him at all. You both dragged your goodbyes out for as long as possible until Misha was practically being dragged out of his trailer and forced to let you go.
---------------
The weekend progressed and Paul continued being as sweet and charming as he used to be. He made love to you gently while whispering sweet words and was acting like the perfect boyfriend; too perfect in fact.
It all made sense on the evening before you had to fly back to Bellingham. He had taken you to one of the nicer restaurants and encouraged you to indulge yourself in whatever you wanted; including a glass of expensive champagne.
Paul had almost given away his plans when he couldn't contain his wide, excited smile as the waiter brought your champagne to your table. Your questioning words got caught in your throat when you saw diamond ring sitting at the bottom of the fluted glass.
"Is that…?" You tried to ask, choking on your own breath.
He stood up and came around to your side of the table; getting down on one knee beside you. "Babe, I know I'm not perfect; but I love you and I've know for years that I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you be my wife?"
You stared dumbfounded at him for what felt like an eternity. Looking around the room, all eyes seemed to be focused on you; anxiously awaiting your response. Your mind raced through your options and neither held a perfect outcome. On one hand, you could say no like your gut told you to and then face his wrath later for embarrassing him in public. On the other, you could say yes and keep him happy; while further shackling yourself to him.
Taking a deep breath, you knew exactly what you had to do. You forced the widest smile you could and didn't even have to fake the tears streaming down your face as you answered. "Yes! Of course I will!"
The Charade
Part Twelve
Summary: Two journalists strike a bargain with Misha Collins and Jensen Ackles to get the article they need, and end up getting more than they bargained for. Pairings: Misha x OFC, Jensen x OFC Word Count: 1722 Warnings: Language ... I think that’s it? A/N: Heading into the home stretch with this! Collab with the amazing Ashley aka @d-s-winchester!
Thanksgiving was quickly approaching, but everyone had their own plans for the holiday. Most of the cast and crew would be going home to their families, while Boden and Adeline would be going back home to meet with Kelly regarding the final draft of their Supernatural article. It was disappointing not to be spending the holiday together, but with any luck, the couples would be able to spend their first Christmas in each other’s company.
Before everyone went their separate ways, Bo and Addy hosted a Thanksgiving dinner at their apartment. It was the usual foursome, plus Jared. He was a ton of fun, and everyone was happy to have him on board with the relationships.
“You girls out did yourselves!” Jared exclaimed when he saw all the food they had prepared. “I wasn't expecting an entire Thanksgiving spread.”
Misha smiled proudly. “What can we say, our girls can cook.”
“Yes they can,” Jensen echoed, kissing Boden on the cheek.
“I should have come around sooner,” Jared teased.
The girls made sure everyone had their drink of choice, then they all sat down to the meal together. Before picking up his fork and helping himself to some of the delicious food, Jared stood and raised his glass.
“I just wanna say that I'm very grateful to be here. We’re friends, and I let something stupid come between us. Bo and Addy, I see now that you girls are here for the right reasons. I'll keep this short, but just know, I've got your backs. So … here’s to friends, old and new.”
Everyone raised their glasses in unison and echoed Jared’s sentiments. After that, it was quiet for a bit while everyone got down to eating.
“What do you ladies have planned for the break?” Jared asked.
The girls exchanged a nervous look before Boden answered. “We are heading to meet with our editor for the final copy of the article.”
Addy nodded, and took a sip of her wine. “We’ll see what she thinks. We kept all of the personal stuff out, which I think we would have done even if we hadn't started actually dating Jensen and Misha, but Kelly was looking for something juicy.”
“We got the article in the first place,” Boden sighed, “you’d think that would be enough.”
“Yeah, but you know Kelly,” Addy commented.
Jensen frowned. “Hope I'm not being insensitive, but maybe after this you girls should consider looking for a new job.”
Addy shrugged. “We’ve talked about it before, but writing for Exclusive is a big deal. Plus, our article is in the front page more often than not - way more. We can't really pass up the opportunity.”
“But, we have been discussing some other options.” Boden shrugged, too. “We’ll get through this article, and go from there.”
“Enough work talk!” Misha declared. “Tonight’s for fun. It’s the first time the five of us have been able to hang out, let’s live it up. I've got enough alcohol to even intoxicate the Samsquatch over there!”
That was enough to get the whole group laughing. They finished off dinner and kept the drinks flowing. No one was going anywhere by the time they all passed out in the wee hours of the morning; Misha in Addy’s bed, Jensen in Bo’s, and Jared curled up on the couch.
 The day before Thanksgiving Boden and Adeline were once again walking into Kelly’s office. The article was finished and she wanted to go over some of the parts before sending it to print. They hadn’t included any of the personal information in the article and both girls were mentally preparing themselves for the backlash they would receive from their boss for that. The personal stuff was the kind of content Exclusive prided themselves on and if Kelly didn’t have enough of what she was looking for there was no doubt that the article would probably get scrapped.
“Good afternoon, ladies!” Kelly smiled as they walked into her office, “I just want to say that you have put together one hell of an article. It’s exactly what our readers are looking for! I will say, though, that the lack of personal information here is a little bit jarring. It’s what we’re known for and this article is well...lacking.”
“We understand that,” Adeline said, “but now that Boden and I are in relationships with Misha and Jensen we wanted to keep the private things….private. Just because we don’t want our personal lives in the spotlight. We were hoping you would understand that.”
Kelly seemed to consider the two girls for a few moments before giving a curt nod.
“Very well. I don’t want my two best writers feeling uncomfortable. The personal stuff will stay on the cutting room floor, then.”
Boden and Adeline thanked her profusely and she gave them a tight lipped smile before dismissing them from her office. As they headed back out to the elevator they were none the wiser to the edits that Kelly was making to their piece. The magazine would be hitting stands the following week and with the office being closed the next few days due to the holiday the changes needed to be made and they needed to be made fast.
As much as the girls enjoyed being home for Thanksgiving they were looking forward to being back in Vancouver with Jensen and Misha. The short hiatus was a little longer for the two men than it was for the women and that gave them a few days to spend some quality time together before they would be seeing their boyfriends again.
When Misha and Jensen arrived back at their apartment after the hiatus they were anxious to see Adeline and Boden again. They’d been in constant communication but it wasn’t the same as being around them. Once he was unpacked Misha went to get the mail and as he sorted through it he found the latest issue of Exclusive. He smiled to himself when he saw the title of the article on the cover with Adeline and Boden’s names underneath. He was silently thanking Charlotte for not changing her address on the subscription because now both he and Jensen had a chance to read the article before they met up with the girls for dinner.
He flipped through the pages, looking for the article, as he shut the door behind him. When he finally found the article he settled himself on the couch and started reading. By the time he’d finished he wasn’t entirely sure what he was feeling. He was both hurt and confused when he called Jensen into the room. He handed the magazine, already opened up to the article, over to Jensen.
“Oh, it’s finished! How was it?”
“Just read it.”
Jensen could hear the betrayal in his friend’s voice and was immediately concerned about what the article could have said. As he sat and read though, he completely understood why Misha looked as upset as he did. All of the personal things they’d shared with Adeline and Boden were right there in black and white. The things that they’d promised wouldn’t be appearing were right there in front of him, printed in a magazine that was available worldwide. As if that wasn’t bad enough it was pointed out multiple times throughout the article that both Adeline and Boden had only been with them as a means to get the article -- that even calling off the arrangement had been a ruse.
“I don’t believe this,” Jensen said dropping the magazine on the table.
“Yeah, me either.”
“No, I mean I don’t believe it. There’s no way that’s true. We know how it all started we were part of it, but the other stuff. There’s no way. That’s a lie.”
“I don’t know,” Misha sighed, “it makes sense because of how this all started.”
“Why do you have so little faith in them?” Jensen asked and Misha shrugged, “Let’s just give them a chance to explain themselves at dinner tonight and take it from there.”
Misha agreed that would be a good idea and they went on with their day, both a little on edge.
By the time Adeline and Boden reached Misha and Jensen’s apartment they were giddy with excitement. It had been less than a week but they missed their boyfriends terribly and were excited to finally be spending time with them again. Their excitement changed to apprehension when Jensen opened the door looking slightly annoyed.
“Everything ok?” Boden asked when she went to kiss him and he turned away.
“Not really, no.”
“Whats going on?” Adeline asked, noticing that Misha hadn’t moved from where he was sitting on the couch.
Misha didn’t say a word. He just picked up the magazine from the coffee table and handed it to her. Confused, Adeline opened it up to their article. Boden stood next to her friend, reading over her shoulder. When they reached the end of the article both girls were at a loss for words.
“We didn’t write this,” Adeline said, dumbfounded, “well, we wrote most of it but the personal stuff...this isn’t a ruse. What the fuck?”
“You sure about that?” Misha asked.
“Of course!” Boden protested, “We wouldn’t do that to you. We had no idea those things were added.”
“It had to be Kelly.” Addy pointed out and Boden nodded.
Boden skimmed the article again, nervously biting her lip. The look on her face had Jensen doubting everything he’d said to Misha earlier.
“Are you positive? Cause you’re looking a little guilty, Bo.” Jensen said, crossing his arms over his chest.
“I want to believe you guys, I really do, but I’m sorry I don’t,” Misha sighed, “the whole thing makes us look like a pair of idiots. Our credibility is shot.”
“Misha --”
“I’m sorry, Addy, but this -- me and you -- is done. It’s probably best that you leave.”
Misha stood from the couch then and walked out to the balcony, not bothering to look back. Adeline’s eyes filled with tears, unable to comprehend what just happened.
“You should probably go too, Bo. If I can’t fully trust you on this it’s probably best that we end things too.”
Jensen turned his back on them then, heading into his bedroom, leaving the two heartbroken girls standing alone in the living room.
“Jensen! You missed the turn,” you scolded as Jensen blew past your street and continued into town.
“No I didn’t,” Jensen merely replied, making your blood boil. You knew he had wanted the two of you to go out on your birthday and make some big deal out of you turning 30. You had steadfastly refused. It was just another birthday and you hated all the fuss. You didn’t wanna be the center of attention all night long. Your idea of a perfect birthday was sitting in front of the tv, eating pizza with your boyfriend. You knew Jensen knew that and you couldn’t believe he didn’t wanna accept it.
“Don’t make me jump out of a moving car, Jensen. Take me home,” you warned him, just enough anger in your voice for him to nervously shift in his seat.
“You don’t wanna go home, babe,” he answered you in a slightly shaky voice.
“Why?” you narrowed your eyes at him and Jensen let out a sigh of defeat as he pulled up infront of a hotel.
“Because Misha and Jared wanted to do something for you. I tried to stop them, but you know them when they get an idea… so there is a surprise party hiding at your house…” Jensen said, clearly readying himself for a scolding, but you just stared at him.
“There’s a bunch of people hiding in my house?”
Jensen nodded.
“Waiting for me to walk in so they can yell surprise?”
Jensen nodded again and swallowed harshly.
“And you kidnapped me?”
A confused look appeared on Jensen’s face, clearly starting to doubt his choices. “Hey we can go back if you…”
You threw your arms around his neck, taking him completely by surprise and almost knocking the wind out of him as you hugged him tightly.
“You’re awesome. I love you, Jay,” you laughed, making Jensen join you as he hugged you back.
“Confusing woman,” Jensen muttered with a wink, as he let you go and exited the car to run to your side and hold the door open for you.
You let Jensen lead you past the front desk and straight to the room he had booked for the night, making you send him a look which he just returned with a shy smile, running his hand behind his neck as the two of you waited in the elevator.
You frowned. Something was going on and you couldn’t help but fear you were walking into some kind of a trap. He was certainly up to something and a part of you wanted to stop the elevator to question him about it. The other side of you won though. You loved him and you trusted him, even if you hated surprises.
Your eyes went wide when Jensen pushed open the door to the room, letting you enter first. There was a trail of flowers from the entrance towards the bed and the jacuzzi that was also situated in the middle of the room. Champagne was placed in a cooler next to the tub with a couple of glasses ready for the two of you. You bit your lip, trying to hold back your laughter, but it was a losing battle and you knew it.
“So you kidnapped me to get laid, not to actually save me from our friends?” You smirked looking back at him, to see him pull a face at you. The nerves clearly still playing under the playful facade he was trying to put up. You frowned, turning your attention back to the room trying to figure out what you had missed.
You took a few steps closer to the bed and then you saw it. The rose petals on the bed spelled out four simple words and you gasped. Clasping your hand over your mouth as you stared at them, reading them over and over again. “Will you marry me?”
“Jensen…” you breathe out, feeling the tears press against your eyes as you turned around to see the man you loved now kneeling down before you.
“Y/N/N, these past few years have been the best of my life. I can’t picture a life without you by my side anymore. I love you so much and I promise I will spend the rest of my life doing everything within my power to make you happy if you will do me the honor of becoming my wife. Will you marry me, sweetheart?”
You felt the tears stream down your face as you began to nod, not trusting your voice at this moment. You couldn’t have asked for a better birthday present than for Jensen offering to spend his life with you.
“Yes?” Jensen questioned, clearly needing to hear you say the words.
“Yes,” you sobbed and Jensen instantly pushed the ring onto your finger, rising to his feet. Before he could say or do anything you cupped his face in your hands, crashing your lips against his in a bruising, passionate kiss. “Yes I’ll marry you, your dork,” you laughed as you pulled apart for air, making Jensen laugh. He lifted you into the air, spinning you around, not caring about your squeals and threats. He didn’t lower you back onto your feet until he was good and ready to do so.
A playful glimmer appeared in those green eyes you loved so much and his arms stayed wrapped firmly around you, as if he was never letting you go again.
“Does that mean I’ll get laid tonight after all?” Jensen teased you, making you laugh and smack his chest.
“You’re such an idiot!”
“I know,” Jensen smirked, pressing a quick kiss to your lips before continuing, “but I am your idiot.”
“Yes, yes you are,” you beamed, kissing him again before taking his hand, leading him towards the jacuzzi, fully prepared to let him suffer for several more hours before you gave into him. What was the rush? Tonight was only the first night of the rest of your lives after all.
CHAPTER 3 – HOME SWEET HOME
They arrived in Hartford's airport early on Saturday morning after a very long and exhausting flight.
“Of course your hometown had to be on the opposite end of the continent.” Katie said to Lily, not hiding her sarcasm.
“You never do things the easy way, do you?”
They were waiting for their taxi in front of the airport, and Lily was so tired she could barely keep her eyes open.
“Nope. Never. Where's the fun if it's too easy?” She answered with the same sarcastic tone, even if she could easily understand why Katie was grumpy.
“By the way, remind me to thank the guy who invented coffee.” She shook her cup carefully.
They jumped in the taxi as soon as it was here a few minutes later.
“So... Where do we go from here?” Katie asked, making herself comfortable in the backseat.
“Our hotel in Litchfield.”
“Is it far from here?” Katie hoped that it would not be too long. They had traveled for more than eight hours and she just needed to settle and relax a little bit.
“About an hour.”
Katie's eyes popped wide open.
“Oh my god! That long? I'm so freaking tired, I need to sleep now,” She whined.
“Why didn't you sleep in the plane?”
“Oh, you mean right next to the old smelly guy snoring like a chainsaw?”
Lily sighed. She had a good point though, that man was just filthy and super annoying.
“Listen, I'm tired too and I'm really not in the mood to hear you complaining for one more hour, so if you don't sleep right now in the cab, I will definitely knock you out.”
Katie feigned a shocked expression, eyes and mouth wide open.
“You wouldn't!... Plus I kinda can't sleep right now... I'm too excited to see where you spent your childhood.”
Lily scoffed. “Why? There is not much to see really, I lived in a farm, so... lots and lots of fields and barns and trees.”
“Yeah, I know that, but... you've never told me much, and I have to say I'm curious about it.”
“You're the one who knows the most about my childhood, believe me...”
She lolled her head and rolled her eyes, thinking harder.
“Actually my shrink is, but if it can make you feel better, I've never told anyone else. Not even my boyfriends.”
“Really? Not even Peter?” Katie asked surprised. She knew Lily didn't like to talk about her childhood, but Peter had been her boyfriend for eight years and it was pretty serious; she didn't understand how she could keep all those things inside.
“Especially not Peter.” Lily insisted.
“I know he was kind of a jerk sometimes, but nobody's perfect, you were close to each other for sure... isn't it normal to share everything with your man? Even your darkest side and your deepest fears? I know I do.”
When Lily didn't answer, Katie knew she had to change the subject.
She tried something, being the nosy brat that she always was.
“Talking about men... Do we have a chance to bump into one of your ex-boyfriends? That would be so much fun, haha!”
“Sorry to disappoint, but that's not possible.”
“You don't know that, most people stay in the same area their whole life. Oh my god, that would be so damn awkward and funny!”
“Katie, will you please chill? I had only one boyfriend before I met you, and he died with my family.”
Katie looked at her friend and didn't say anything at first; she was a bit surprised, Lily was a very pretty woman, so she assumed she had lots of boyfriends at school, but now she felt bad for bringing it up.
“Oh... Sorry, I thought... I didn't know. That's another thing you never mentioned.”
“It's okay. I've moved on. Relax!” Lily chuckled to lighten the mood.
Katie felt a little guilty for reminding her of that night with her stupid comment, but she also was a very nosy person, and she couldn't help asking questions about it.
“Will you tell me about him one day? You never even said his name.”
Lily looked out the window absentmindedly.
“His name was Misha.”
“Ohhh like Misha Collins! And me who thought he was the only man called Misha in America haha! Now I have a lot of dirty thoughts flowing to my mind.”
Lily turned her head to look at her friend with one eyebrow raised up.
“And who the heck is Misha Collins?” she asked, confused.
Katie snorted.
“Oh Geez! you really should watch more TV. He's just sex on legs, you have no idea what you're missing.”
She scoffed. “Yeah, like I have time to watch TV.”
She was very busy with her work, and when she didn't work she was practicing, and when she wasn't practicing she was dancing. She always loved dancing and it was her way to relax.
“I don't even own a TV”.
“It's almost sad. I'll educate you one of these days, I promise.”
Lily burst out laughing and Katie joined her soon enough. The rest of the ride was quieter and they even managed to fall asleep for a while.
_____________
There were a few places they had to stop by during their trip in Connecticut. First of all, they needed to go get the official papers and Lily's grandmother's testament from the notary. Lily had indeed her grandmother's ashes with her, but she didn't have a clue about what she was supposed to do with the urn. She was pretty sure she left something about it in her testament though, so that's why it was the first step. She couldn't mess this up.
Second stop would be to the cemetery, where her dad, mother and brother were buried. The last time she went there was a couple weeks after her mom and Ryan's funeral, to say goodbye before leaving to France with her grandma. She just couldn't come back here and not visit it.
Then, they would go to her grandmother's house in Lichtfield, and last but not least, they would go to Lily's house on the farm property that burnt in Northfield. If possible, Lily would show Katie some places she liked when she was young too, but they didn't know how much time they would have, so they didn't plan too much.
They arrived at the notary's offices around 11 am. Lily didn't want to spend much time in this place, so she didn't talk much, listened carefully what the old man in front of her explained, signed whatever she had to really fast and picked the documents and the keys he gave her. She just needed a quiet and empty place to read her grandmother's last will now, because she had to find out where she had to put the urn.
She thought about going back to the hotel to read it, but then she remembered that when she was young and wanted to be alone in a calm and beautiful place, she went to a specific spot in Brook Park, where she could sit in the grass and enjoy the sound of the waterfall and the birds singing. This is exactly where they led next.
After walking around the park to show Katie the few places she loved, they both sat on a bench near the waterfall and Lily opened the envelop. Of course her grandmother had written a letter, Lily was not surprised. She sighed deeply for courage, took and unfolded it with trembling fingers and started reading.
My sweet Lily,
I know these moments must be very painful for you, and this letter will probably be as hard for you to read as it is for me to write now, so I will try to keep it short.
I'm getting old and I don't want to leave this world without sharing some last few thoughts with you. I don't know when you'll be able to read these words, I wish as late as possible, but what I want to tell you is true now and it will be true forever, so I'm gonna write it down when I still have the opportunity.
God can do anything. He could have given you a happy life full of joy and a huge family to share your days. I know that you think he gave up on you and took everything from you, first your dad, my precious son who I can't wait to meet again, then your amazing grandfather, the love of my life, your sweet and lovely mother, my little Ryan, and even more. But God never gives up, and I am sure you will find your family one day. When you do, cherish it like I cherished mine, and when we meet again, tell me about it.
Before you start your new life though, you will have to take care of a few boring and material things I left behind, like the properties in Connecticut. I can't tell you what to do with it, it will be your choice, but don't decide too fast if you want to sell them or not, you have time. Go back there, remember what it was before, focus on the good days, and don't do anything that feels wrong in your heart. Fate will give you the answers you need soon enough, trust me.
If you're wondering where I want to rest, the answer is almost obvious, don't you think? With your grandfather, in the clearing behind the farm property. Don't be afraid to go back, this place is a part of you. It may hurt first, but you will be proud of yourself afterwards.
I wish I could always be around to help you through the challenges of your life, but as it is physically not possible, I will spend the rest of your life guiding you from above, along with the rest of your family, until you join us.
Finally, I will give you one last advice, and I want you to keep it forever and shape your life around it as mush as you can.
I've read once that a wise man said: “If one does what one can do to make the world a better place, that’s all God will ask... it is a job that can make your life worth living, no matter what else happens.”
It was your grandfather's philosophy and I think he did quite well. Follow his steps, be good, be kind, help the ones in need like we always did, and it will help you on the way.
You are without a doubt the most precious thing life gave me, and I was very lucky to have you near me all those years. Be proud of yourself, my beautiful child, you are a fighter and you'll always win, don't even doubt it a second.
Be strong, my sweet Lily.
I love you forever.
Grandma.
When she finished reading, Katie was surprised to see a smile on her friend's face. Lily wasn't sad. She was still grieving of course, but the letter she just read gave her the strength she needed. She knew it wouldn't be easy everyday, but she silently promised her grandmother to keep her advice in her heart and go along with it.
She stood up.
“Alright... it's 4 pm, we have time to go to the cemetery very quickly, and then I'll show you my grandmother's house. Is that okay with you?”
“Sure... But can we stop to eat first? I'm gonna faint if I don't eat right now.” Katie said, holding her stomach.
Lily laughed heartedly.
“Okay, I'm kinda hungry too, let's go buy something there.” She pointed at the food truck near the main road.
They ate on the way to not waste any time, then Lily stopped to buy some flowers and a few moments later, they arrived at the Litchfield East Cemetery, where her family was resting.
It was not a big place, and her family's grave wasn't something fancy. Just a simple tombstone with their family name carved on it. 'Hagen Family'. No pictures, no first names, no dates. She bent down to put the flowers on the stone and noticed something.
“Someone came to put some flowers.” Lily said surprised. Her parents were loved and respected by many here, but she immediately wondered who it could be, and she also felt a little ashamed because it was only the second time she had stopped here in two decades.
“Do you want to... say something?” Katie asked, a little uncomfortable. She hated cemeteries.
“Not really. There is nothing to say anyway.” She answered flatly. Katie could tell she was just trying very hard not to cry. Lily pressed two fingers to her mouth and brushed them on the carved name.
“Let's go.” She whispered.
“Wait... your boyfriend Misha isn't buried here with his family? Don't you want to... you know... visit it too?”
“No, they're not here. To be honest I don't know where they are. I tried to find out before leaving for France but nobody knew. Someone told me they rest near their father's place, which is hours from here.”
“Oh... okay. And where is your grandfather?”
Lily couldn't help but smiled when she thought about the answer to that question.
“He wanted his ashes to be scattered in the clearing next to the farm in Northfield. This is where he met my grandmother, and this is where they got married.”
“That sounds poetic.” Katie smiled.
“It's also where I will have to do the same with my grandma's ashes tomorrow.” Lily added.
“Oh God, it's just like in romantic movies. If we don't leave here soon and change the subject, I will cry a river.” Katie warned, and then shivered, not knowing if it was from being emotional or if it was just getting cold.
“Okay, okay... let's run then. I managed to hold back, but if you start crying I will lose it! Last stop for today : my grandma's house!”
She was serious, but she said it with a playful tone, taking her friend's hand and leading her to the car.
_______
When they arrived in front of the house and Katie saw it, she couldn't believe her eyes.
“This is your grandmother's house?”
“Yep. Nice, uh?”
“This... THIS is your freaking grandma's house? No kidding?” she almost screamed. Lily stopped the car in the front yard and got out.
“YES, Katie, get out!”
“Okay uuuh.... can I ask you a question?? How loaded were your family exactly?”
Lily laughed while searching in her purse for the keys.
“Let's just say we had a lot of problems but money was not one of them. Come on!”
She almost ran towards the main entrance, pulling Katie with her, who stumbled every three seconds, too busy admiring the mansion instead of watching her steps.
Katie was impressed, she didn't expect that at all. She expected to see a tiny old house lost among others in the city, but It was huge and absolutely stunning: a Victorian house with white and green wooden walls, very bright, with dark-gray tilted roofs, lots of windows and columns too, surrounded by a green yard with huge trees. There were three floors, and an octagonal tower on the front left.
“So, I'm gonna give you the grand tour and see what she left behind, then we can go back to the hotel and have a nice dinner and a long sleep!”
“Or we could stay here forever!” Katie said, still not believing her eyes.
“I love this place too, but it's been a while since anyone lived in here, so I don't even wanna know how many spiders can hide inside right now.”
Lily had three phobias: Fire, for obvious reasons, wasps and spiders. She was terrified every time she saw a tiny spider, and she could run as fast as an Olympic sprinter if she saw a wasp approaching her. It was irrational, she had no idea where it came from and she was ashamed of it because really, a girl being scared of spiders is super cliché and pathetic, but she had absolutely no control over it.
They entered the house and when they stepped in the front entry, they were immediately welcomed by a deep dusty and moldy smell.
“Eww! It's really been a while since anyone cleaned this house!” Katie confirmed.
“Yeah... let's not take too long. Follow me.”
Lily showed her the whole house. It didn't take long since it was mostly empty, but there were a few covered furniture in some rooms, like the grand piano in the living room, or a few book shelves in the library. There was no power and no water. Then, they went outside in the courtyard, and Lily opened the garage that was in the back of the property, which was her grandfather's favorite place.
“Oh wow... your grandfather was handy, wasn't he? What's all that?”
The garage wasn't empty, it was still full of everything her grandfather made with the kids he took care of years ago, mostly wood work.
“Grandpa was helping kids his way... teaching them everything he could. He loved woodworking, so this is basically everything he made with them.” Lily explained. She walked among the shelves, looking at all the wooden animals, the tiny pieces of furniture, the toys, tools, lots of books, and some things she couldn't even recognize. She suddenly stopped in front of a small wooden plane and took it, a nostalgic smile appearing on her face.
“I remember this one... This is the first thing he made with Misha.” she weakly laughed, obviously remembering something funny.
“We were ten. My dad had just died. Grandpa was so affected by his death that he had to keep his mind busy with something positive, so he started teaching woodworking to Misha and Sasha and I was helping.”
She laughed harder.
“He was so proud of that stupid plane.” She put it back on the shelf.
“This place is full of happy memories. It's been twenty-two years since I last stepped into this house but it still feels like it was yesterday.”
“I can see that.” Katie gave her friend a quick hug, deeply touched by her story.
“Can we go? I'm tired, all those emotions knocked me out. I suggest we go back to the hotel and we'll do the rest tomorrow.”
“Sounds good to me!”
Lily closed everything carefully, her heart heavy, leaving a part of herself behind her. They headed to the car and drove back to their hotel, done for the day.
Working on the set of Supernatural was always a pleasure. You got to work with your boyfriend, your brother, and your best friend. Acting was so much better than any other job you ever had. You got to work with cool people, got to use amazing props and got to be a whole other person who you could get lost into.
Even though you were Jared’s younger sister, you were actually playing an Angel that decided to be on Team Free Will instead of joining sides in Heaven. You played a fallen Angel and Castiel’s brave sister. It was fun getting to play an angel and to work with Misha and even Alex. He was kind of new to the show but you had gotten to know him since some of your scenes are with only him.
Every single day, you got to wake up and do something exciting but lately, you’ve not been feeling up to it. You loved working on set and were usually one of the first ones ready to go for the day. However, this day, you just weren’t into it and tried to hide it from everyone else.
You hoped it didn’t show in your acting since you were trying your best not to sound or look too tired.
“So, get this,” Jared played Sam as he walked into the war room with his laptop in hand. You and Jensen were sitting at the table and looked at him as Jared sat down.
“Great, another case? We just got back from one not even 10 hours ago.” Dean complained, taking a swig of the apple juice disguised as beer.
“I have no problem with another case.” You smiled, playing the part of your Angel so well. You actually took tips from Misha about how to play an Angel like he did and let’s just say you took those lessons seriously.
“Yeah, that’s because you have Angel juice that can keep you going. What do you got, Sam?” Dean asked.
“Right, so this may or may not be our thing but I just figured we should check it out anyway,” Sam said, telling you and Dean about the case. While Jared was talking, you felt your vision go a little blurry. You thought nothing of it since you didn't go to bed until late as a result of staying up with Jensen all night. You just blinked quickly for a few seconds and it went away.
When you looked at Jared, he was still talking about the case. You didn’t focus on the words he was saying but it was hard to try and catch up.
“Alright, let’s pack up then. Meet at the car in 10.” Dean said, standing up. Sam closed his laptop but you couldn’t do anything. You were feeling a little dizzy and since you were so tired, it didn’t help.
“You okay, Y/N?” Jared asked, breaking character.
“Cut!” The director called and Jensen looked at you.
“I’m fine, just really tired. I felt a little dizzy there for a second.” You said when you felt a hand on your back.
“Is she okay?” The director asked and you looked at Jensen who was right by your side.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Might need some water or something.” You said and Jensen stood up before walking to the director.
“Can we take 5? She’s feeling a little dizzy and might need some water or something light to eat.” Jensen asked.
“Yeah, sure, take 5!” The director yelled and the ringing noise that signaled a break sounded before people either went to the bathroom, took a phone call, or ate something. Jensen walked right back to you and grabbed your hand.
“Come on, sweetheart.” You nodded and got up, using his support to get to the snack table.
“Are you okay?” Jared asked when he caught up with you and Jensen.
“Yeah, I think I’m just too tired today. It’s all your fault, really.” You lightly hit Jensen in the chest with a chuckle.
“My fault? I told you to go to bed but you didn’t listen to me.” Jensen smiled, handing you a bottled water. You and Jensen were dating and have been since a few months after Jared introduced the two of you. He had literally been the best boyfriend a girl could ask for and you were glad he was all yours.
“You’re just so interesting to talk to.” You giggled, downing half the water easily.
“Here, why don’t you have a sandwich or something. When was the last time you ate?” Jared asked, being the protective older brother. You took the sandwich only because you could feel your stomach growling.
“I think this morning? Could have been last night.” You shrugged and took a few bites of the sandwich before placing it down. You felt much better now that you got food and water in your system.
“You need to eat more.” Jared said and you rolled your eyes playfully.
“Yes, dad.” You chuckled.
“You feeling better?” Jensen asked.
“Yeah, much.” You smiled. It was perfect timing too because a few minutes later, the director called for everyone back again and this time, you got every line right without messing up. Maybe you were so tired and that was the cause of your dizziness. You remember a time before Jared even got casted on Supernatural, you and he would spend all night together, staying up like little kids and the next morning, you would feel dizzy because you didn't get enough sleep. So, you figured this is what happened here.
“Alright! That’s a wrap everyone! Good work today and Y/N, get some rest.” The director said and you smiled at him before walking to Jared and Jensen who were on the side.
“You guys hungry? I can run out and get something for us to eat,” Jared suggested just as Jensen put his arm around your shoulder. You were still very tired but not as tired as before.
“You want to get some Chinese food from that place I like?” You asked, grinning at your older brother.
“That is all the way across town.” Jared said, looking at you.
“I’ll love you forever.” You sang and he sighed with a shake of his head.
“Sure, I can do that. Jay, want to come with me?”
“Yeah. We’ll be back shortly.” Jensen said to you before placing a kiss on your lips. Jared already left the group so you didn’t worry about bothering him with PDA. You kissed Jensen back, pulling him in closer to you.
“Don’t be long.” You whispered against his lips before letting him go.
“I wouldn't dare.” Jensen joked, winking at you before leaving to find his best friend. You bit your lip to stop your smile from spreading so wide. How did you ever get so lucky?
After eating with Jensen and Jared in Jensen’s trailer, you decided to turn in early and get some much-needed sleep. You just wanted tomorrow to come where you would feel a lot better and filming would be more enjoyable.
Walking into your trailer you immediately got ready for bed. You put on your favorite pajamas, plugged your phone in and brushed your teeth. Before you would actually get settled in for the night, you got a glass of water and stayed by the sink while you drank it.
You thought back to today’s events and noticed how worried Jensen got. He was such a good boyfriend and you were the luckiest woman alive. After finishing the glass of water, you set it in the sink and turned off the light. As you were walking to your bed, your heart started beating super fast. You stopped and put a hand over your heart as if that would slow it down.
Following that, you started to feel lightheadedness which you didn’t understand why. You didn’t know what was going on and before you could reach your phone to call Jensen, you fell forward. You didn’t see the corner of the counter and smashed your face into it, busting your lip open and no doubt causing a huge bruise on your face.
You fell to the ground and passed out from your heart beating too quickly. You didn’t know how long you were out but when you woke up, you reached for your phone. You groaned in pain and shakily got up on all fours. You gently touched your face with one hand while reaching for your phone with the other, wincing when you touched your busted lip.
You grabbed your phone and sat on the ground, trying to collect yourself. You had no idea why this happened or if this was something serious. This has never happened before which worried you. You thought back to earlier when you got dizziness because you didn't eat enough food and maybe you didn’t eat enough with Jensen and Jared.
You looked at the time and realized only 2 hours had passed from the time you passed out to now. You sighed and placed your phone on the counter before shakily getting up. You walked to your bathroom and turned on the light to see the full extent of damages. Yep, you would have a nasty bruise on your right side of your face tomorrow and your lip would be swollen.
Shit, how were you going to hide this from Jensen or Jared? You knew they would be worried and would over react. All you did was trip. You didn't have to tell them you passed out for 2 hours. You just figured you would go to the makeup trailer and have them cover this up before anyone else woke up.
Or maybe you could go to Misha since he does have an EMT certification. You didn't know what you would do but you did know you had to go to sleep. You cleaned up the dried blood on your face and made sure you were okay before getting into bed.
Part Thirteen
Master List
Pairing: Misha x OFC / Jensen x OFC Word Count: 1,703 Warnings: none, feels? A/N: Here’s part thirteen of mine and Nicole’s (@iwantthedean) collab! Hope you guys like it! Anyway, feedback for this is awesome! :)
In the weeks that followed their breakup Adeline felt like she was operating on autopilot. With the article finished she barely left the apartment, instead she spent most of her days on the couch watching true crime shows and the food network, only getting off of the couch to get something to eat or go to the bathroom.
 “We have to decide if we are going to come back here after hiatus, Addy,” Boden sighed, switching off the TV. “I know you don't wanna talk about it, but with or without Jensen and Misha, we would have had to come to this decision. With the article finished, there's no reason for us to be here.”
 “Thanks for the reminder.”
 “Not what I meant, and you know it. I genuinely like Vancouver, and, honestly, I want to stay. I gave Kelly my notice, and I'm done with Exclusive. I can't keep working for them after -- well, everything.”
 Adeline reached for the remote and switched the TV back on. “I just don't know, Bo. I don't want to talk about it right now.”
 Boden gave up for the time being. She and Adeline processed things differently, she knew this. Adeline needed to give up for a while, and Boden had to charge forward and convince herself that there was life after … whatever. Jensen, in this case.
 So, when their lease came to an end, the girls made the decision to go back home. Boden was going to need to find work fast, and Adeline had assignments rolling in from Kelly already – assignments that were being half-assed, at best.
 “Your work is declining,” Kelly sighed, tossing a copy on the desk. “You look like hell. Is this because Boden left? Adeline, the two of you are big girls. You’ve got to learn how to function alone at some point.”
 Adeline’s eyes filled with angry tears. “You think this is about Boden? Damn it, Kelly, Bo and I have been friends for a long time. It’s not like she walked out of my life altogether. The state of my life right now has everything to do with the things you added in the Supernatural article – things you added that made it seem like I was the same kind of shady bitch you are and lost me the greatest man I’ve ever dated.” She held up a hand. “No, don’t worry about firing me. I quit, you selfish, gold digging whore.”
 Adeline shouldered her bag and stormed out of Kelly’s office. Tears streamed hot down her cheeks as she made way to her car and finally home. So what if she was out of job? One step further away from Misha.
 The two girls trudged through Christmas with their families before coming back home again for the New Year. There was a myriad of parties to attend, but they opted to spend it just the two of them, in t-shirts and sweats with a bottle of champagne they didn’t bother to open.
 During a rainy, Spring day, Adeline decided to venture out for some Starbucks. She and Boden had been getting by on freelance jobs, as no long-term jobs had caught interest for either of them.
 “Addy?”
 She turned to look behind her as she dug a few coins from her wallet to finish paying for her drink. “Oh, Finn. Uh, hey.”
 Finn smiled shyly. “Hey. Listen, I don’t want to bother you, but I saw you and … wanted to say hi, I guess.”
 “Hi,” Adeline replied, taking her drink and stepping to the side. Finn stepped out of line with her, and she nervously looked around, though he did seem to have a different vibe about him – that was the only way she could describe it. “How have you been?”
 “Good. Got into therapy, got some medication,” he chuckled on that last word, “and things have been going a lot better. I was going to write you a letter, that’s what my therapist suggested, but since I’m seeing you now – anyway, the point is, I’m very sorry, Adeline, for all the hurt that I caused you. I never should have said a lot of the things that I said to you, let alone put my hands on you. I’m sorry.”
 Maybe because she was still recovering from the heartbreak of losing Misha, even after a few months, but Adeline decided she didn’t need this hurt in her life anymore.
 “I forgive you, Finn.”
 He smiled and chanced to hug her, briefly. He got his coffee and the two of them took a seat by the window.
 “So, how’s the new boyfriend?” Finn asked.
 “Oh,” Addy said, sipping at her drink. “No boyfriend. It, uh, didn’t work out.”
 Finn nodded. “I mean, I’m sorry to hear that it didn’t work out for you, but I can’t be too upset that you’re available.”
 Adeline blushed. “Finn …”
 “No, I’m serious, Addy. I got better for you. I want to keep getting better for you. I promise you, none of it will be like it was before. Just – one date. One dinner, later tonight. Please?”
 “I don’t know, Finn. Bo has an interview in the early evening. I’m supposed to help her get ready for, and if it doesn’t go well, she’ll need me …”
 “Early then,” Finn pressed. “Please?”
 Adeline thought for a moment. How much worse could things be? “Okay. One dinner. Then we’ll take it from there.”
 Finn chucked her under the chin, got her new address and promised to pick her up exactly on time.
 Boden sighed as she waited in the lobby of the local newspaper. It wasn’t her dream job, but thanks to her experience with Exclusive, she could probably negotiate a decent pay rate. At least it would be steady work, and she could still freelance on the side.
 She was flipping through a magazine while she waited when she saw it. The gossip magazine had a whole two-page display of Jensen and his relationship timeline over the last year: good times with Lindsey, a couple pictures of the two of them as they grew apart, followed by a picture of Jensen and Boden on the set of Supernatural together. There was a small blurb about the Exclusive article that broke the two of them apart, before three more recent pictures of Jensen and Lindsey together again.
 Her chest tightened and she couldn’t breathe. All these months of thinking she was over Jensen, that she had managed to push forward enough in life, and this one magazine article – something so similar to what had started all of this to begin with – was bringing all of her so-called progress crashing to the ground.
 Without bothering about the interview, Boden shoved the magazine into her bag and headed back home. She couldn’t believe that after everything, Jensen had gone back to the woman who had walked out on him.
 “He was heartbroken when I met him!” she cried when she walked into the apartment. “I put him back together! Do you have any idea how …?”
 Boden stopped in her tracks when she saw Addy and Finn laughing together on the couch. She hadn’t been gone that long, and here they were, canoodling on the couch in the girls’ apartment.
 “Bo? What happened?” Addy said, standing from the couch.
 Boden tossed the magazine on the table, open to the page with the pictures of Jensen and Lindsey. “Don’t worry, we can talk about it later.”
 She shut herself in her room then, worked up over one too many things. Without a second thought, Boden dialed up Misha’s number and sent him a text message.
 Just came home, and it looks like Addy and Finn are getting back together. You really think that bastard is better for her than you risking your reputation to be with her? If you really don’t want her back, then fine. Just don’t say anything and I’ll handle this situation. But if you care about her like I know you did, at least at one time, you’ll do something about this, Misha.
 Misha read Boden’s text message twenty-three times in the next hour. The last several months since he had broke things off with Adeline had been … not the best of his life. If he wasn’t working, he was at home, drinking and sleeping. He ate only so that his decline wouldn’t be visible to the fans.
 When Jensen started bringing Lindsey around, Misha knew things were at their worst. Lindsey had broken Jensen, and Boden had picked up the pieces. Adeline had done the same for him, until she left him in pieces again.
 He read the text message for a twenty-fourth time and shook his head. “Addy didn’t shatter you again, Misha. You did that to yourself.”
 And now she was back with Finn. Misha couldn’t help but be angry at the idea of that man with his hands on Adeline again, in any sort of way. Was he hurting her again? Was she happy? Or was Adeline doing the same thing that Jensen was? Pretending to be happy, filling the void with anyone. That wasn’t the way this should be handled.
 But neither was the way he was handling things, either. With a final resolve, Misha set his phone aside and went to the bathroom.
 Despite his best attempts, the man in the mirror wasn’t one he recognized. His blue eyes were not nearly as bright as they had been when Adeline was around. His hair was shaggy and the only reason he wasn’t at full-on hiatus beard status was because the hair and makeup crew kept that under control.
 After a long hot shower, Misha brushed his teeth and styled his hair. He pulled on the blue button up that had always been Addy’s favorite, then sat in front of his laptop. Usually this was something he would do from his phone, but he felt like it would go better if his hands were free.
 Misha logged into Facebook and clicked on the button to go live. It was time to put the past behind him, tell Addy what an idiot he had been, and do whatever he could to get her back.
Prompt: He found the journal on the train. Pairing: Mishley (aka Misha x Me, aka Misha x Ashley) Word Count: 2828 (and I’m not even sorry) Warnings: None? A/N: This is my entry for Nicole’s (aka @iwantthedean) two prompt challenge. She asked for two prompts to be sent in and then she would choose one for me to write. This is the prompt she chose for me. I wrote this in like two hours and I’m super proud of it. Italics are journal entries. Hope you guys like it! Anyway, feedback for this is awesome! :)
When it came to taking trips back home during short hiatuses from filming Misha always opted to take the train instead of driving. He found the long train rides relaxing and used most of his time sitting there to think. Sometimes he would read or even go over scripts but mostly he spent the hours lost in thought.
 After his most recent relationship ended he was going over what went wrong in his head as the train pulled out of the station. It was yet another breakup in a long string of failed relationships and he was starting to think that maybe he was the problem, especially because he was never the one to end the relationship. He was almost certain that they had all ended because of his crazy work schedule and even though he knew it shouldn’t bother him, it did.
 As the train rolled down the tracks he’d come to the decision that he would just give up on love for a while and focus on work. It seemed like that was all he ever did anyway so the only thing he would really be missing was someone to come home to after a long day. The longer he thought about it the more he realized that was something pretty big to be willing to give up, but it wasn’t like he had much of a choice.
 The train he was on made a few stops throughout the trip and when the train came to a halt at the first stop something fell from the overhead compartment and landed with a thud at his feet. He looked down to see what it was a noticed a small, leather bound, book. He picked it up and upon further inspection noticed that it was a journal. Stamped on the worn black leather in gold writing, situated in the bottom right hand corner, was a name. Ashley.
 He knew he shouldn’t be reading someone else’s private thoughts but the neat, cursive, writing he saw adorning the pages as he flipped through it piqued his interest. He figured it wouldn’t hurt to read an entry or two, just to see if he could find out more information about the journal’s owner and find a way to get it back to her safely.
 When the passengers at the station had finished boarding the train and it pulled away from the station he opened the front cover and looked at the first page. There wasn’t much there just a small note stating that the journal belonged to her. He was hoping for an address or phone number or something but there wasn’t anything, so he turned the page and found the first entry.  It was dated July 1st.
 I don’t normally do this, write down my thoughts in journals, but mom thought it would be a good way to chronicle this new adventure. Well, that’s what she called it anyway. I don’t know if I would consider moving across the country for work an adventure, although, most people probably would.
 I honestly don’t know what I’m expecting to happen once I finally reach LA, all I do know is that it’s going to be completely different than Jersey. I haven’t even boarded the plane yet and I’m already homesick. I’m literally twenty minutes from home and I miss it already, how is that even possible?
 Well, my plane is about to board. I guess I’ll write more tomorrow? Maybe? I’m not even sure how long I’ll keep this going. It’s not like anyone is going to read it. Oh well, next time I do decide to jot anything down I’ll be in sunny Los Angeles.
 Not finding what he was looking for and also slightly curious about what it was that Ashley did for a living that required her to move across the country he found himself turning the page to the next entry. It was dated a few days later which lead him to believe that she wasn’t one for writing every day like the first entry had stated. He knew he should shut the book and put it down but he found himself compelled to see what she had written on July 5th.
 This was nothing like I anticipated it being. Who was I kidding, though? Sure doing makeup for Broadway shows and the occasional music video or red carpet event in the city was one thing but why on earth did I ever think doing makeup on a movie set was a good idea? I am in no way as talented as the people I’m working with. I’m starting to think coming out here was a mistake.
 Mom convinced me to tough it out though. I know I have to work my way up and there are still things I need to learn but it’s a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. On the bright side, the crazy hours leave me no time for a social life, which is a good thing. The last thing I need right now is for him to be following me around like a lost puppy. You’d thinking moving across the country would cause your ex to give up. Apparently I was wrong about that one too.
 I mean, why did he have to move out here? There’s nothing here for him and to top it all off he had to move in to my building. Is he serious? Maybe he’ll find someone else while he’s out here. Maybe then he can just move on from me. Honestly, I hope that happens because if I could never see his face again that would be fantastic.
 I’m running late for work. Maybe I’ll write again tomorrow. At this point who knows. These entries are probably going to be very sporadic.
 Misha was so engrossed in Ashley’s life as he continued to read through the pages in the journal that he almost missed his stop. He gathered his things quickly, making sure to keep the journal with him, and made it off the train with seconds to spare before it pulled off again. His apartment wasn’t far from the station and as he walked down the sidewalk, pulling his suitcase behind him, he almost couldn’t wait to get home and continue reading through the journal.
 He walked through the front door of his apartment and set the journal down on his kitchen counter before unpacking his things. He put everything it it’s rightful place and then took a shower, needing to get the feeling of traveling off of him. Once he was showered and dressed he ordered some food and grabbed a beer from the fridge before picking up the journal again. Settling himself in one of the chairs on his balcony, he popped open the beer and opened the journal to the next entry dated September 3rd.
 Things have gotten easier. I’m finding that I love going to work and I don’t dread it nearly as much as before. The cast is so fun and the hours are still crazy but a good kind of crazy.
 Collin still hasn’t left me alone. I’m pretty sure he’s using again. Which is definitely not something I need right now. Even though it’s been a few months he hasn’t found anyone new and it’s becoming a problem. I can’t go five minutes being home without him knocking on my door. I’ve been debating a restraining order, but I doubt it will do any good.
 This is the first night off I’ve had in weeks. Normally I would just spend it inside with a giant glass of wine and catch up on the episode I’ve missed of my favorite shows but that’s not the case tonight. Some of the other girls want to go out for drinks and I decided to go. Why not right?
 Who knows, maybe I’ll meet my prince charming or something. Now that would be an interesting turn of events.
 Misha sat there for hours reading through the journal. He found himself wanting to know more about Ashley. Just through the writing on the pages he found her appealing. She was funny and witty and seemed to be driven when it came to her career. It surprised him that he wanted to punch her jerk off of an ex-boyfriend in the face and as he continued to flip through the pages and read about her life he was suddenly hoping to find an address or phone number not only to get the journal back to her but so he could actually meet her.
 Luck was on his side the next day when he picked up the journal at breakfast to read through with his morning cup of tea. The last entry in the book was dated a few days before and in the margin of the page was a phone number.
 If I don’t write my new home number down somewhere I’ll definitely forget to give it to mom. I’m on my way to meet her in San Francisco. She’s on vacation with my aunts and since I had a few days off I decided it would be easier to meet her instead of making them all come down to LA.
 I don’t have enough room in my apartment to fit all three of them and it would just save us all a ton of money and time if I just got a room in the same hotel as them. It was also her suggestion to take the train instead of trying to make the drive.
 She insisted it would be a much more relaxing way to start my mini-vacation and so far she’s right. I think I needed this, some time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. At least Collin has left me alone for now. It’s been almost a week since he showed up at my apartment unannounced and that’s a record for him.
 I saw a girl leaving his apartment the other day. It’s either his dealer or his new girlfriend. I’m hoping it’s the latter, I may hate the asshole but I don’t want him doing drugs and ending up dead. If it is his new girlfriend I’m happy for him.
 The train is pulling into the station. I’ll write more tomorrow. With mom around she’s going to be forcing me to write every day and document our girls weekend. She’s ridiculous.
 All the following pages were blank. Misha knew she didn’t leave it behind on purpose. It must have fallen out of her bag. He glanced at the phone number in the margin again and picked up his phone. He knew her work schedule was crazy and he was hoping she was home from her trip as he dialed. He wanted to get in touch with her and find a way to get her journal back to her.
 He sat there patiently as the phone continued to ring. It was clear she wasn’t home and decided to take a chance and leave a message when the machine picked up. He gave her his name and mentioned that he’d found her journal on the train and was hoping to give it back to her. After leaving his number he hung up the phone and went on with his day, all the while hoping that she would get back to him quickly.
 When a few days went by without any response from her Misha debating calling her again and the only thing that stopped him from doing so was his friends showing up in town unexpectedly. He never minded when they stopped by and it was a welcome distraction from his thoughts, which he noticed were constantly plagued by Ashley. He found himself wondering what she looked like and what she sounded like. In fact, he spent most of his free time thinking about her.
 “Who’s Ashley?” Jensen asked, picking the journal up off the coffee table.
 “Not sure,” Misha shrugged and sipped his beer; “I found it on the train when I was on my way home. I called the number in it but she hasn’t called me back.”
 “Did you read it?” Jared asked, taking the book from Jensen.
 “Yeah, but only to find out a way to get it back to her.”
 Jared and Jensen exchanged looks, not convinced that Misha was telling the entire truth, but they let the subject drop. For most of the night the journal was forgotten until a few hours later when the phone rang. When Misha saw the number on his screen he suddenly found himself unbelievably nervous.
 “Hello?”
 “Hi, is this Misha?”
 She sounded different than he expected her too. Although now that he thought about it he wasn’t really sure what he was expecting.
 “Uh, yeah. That’s me.”
 “Thank God. I thought I dialed wrong,” she laughed, “you left me a message saying you found my journal?”
 “Yeah, I found it on the train.”
 “I knew I left it there. Are you in LA? Would you be able to meet up tomorrow? I kind of need that back.”
 “Yeah, absolutely. Just name a time and place.”
 They decided on a local café at noon and after she thanked him profusely for keeping the journal safe for her they disconnected the call.
 “That was her, wasn’t it?” Jared asked and Misha nodded.
 “Why do you look so nervous?” Jensen chuckled.
“I’m not nervous,” Misha said, grabbing another beer from the fridge, “why would I be nervous?”
 Jared and Jensen let the subject drop once again and they continued on with their night. They left sometime after midnight and Misha went straight to bed. The next morning he actually was nervous. After showering he spent entirely too much time deciding what to wear and he was almost late to meet Ashley because of it.
 He walked into the café with five minutes to spare. He ordered something to drink and sat down at one of the tables, placing the journal in front of him where she could easily see it, and waited. It was just after twelve when a petite brunette approached his table.
 “Misha?” she asked, adjusting the strap of her purse on her shoulder.
 She was shorter than he thought she’d be. Just by looking at her standing there he knew he had almost a foot on her. He noticed that her makeup was done perfectly as was her hair but he had a feeling that she didn’t go all out like that all the time. In all honesty, he wasn’t expecting her to be so attractive.
 He nodded. “Ashley, I’m assuming?”
 “That’s me,” she smiled and sat down at the table across from him, “I really can’t thank you enough for not just leaving my journal on the train.”
 “Don’t mention it.”
 “Really, what can I do to repay you?”
 He thought about it for a second. He had every intention of telling her he didn’t want anything in return but then a thought occurred to him. He wanted to get to know her, really know her, and not just know what she wrote down on those pages. He knew what he was going to say next could end in disaster but he decided to give it a shot.
 “You don’t have to repay me for anything, really,” he smiled and cleared his throat, “but would you like to have dinner with me?”
 She looked a little taken aback at first and Misha thought he might have over stepped his boundaries, until she smiled.
 “Sure,” she nodded, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear, “my schedule is insane, but I’m sure you figured that out since you found my journal.”
 Misha looked at her, shocked, and tried not to let his face show that he was in fact guilty of reading it.
 “It’s ok if you read it,” she laughed, noticing the look of panic on his face, “I would have done the same thing. I’m free tonight for dinner if that works for you.”
 Misha nodded and Ashley pulled a pen out of her purse before grabbing his hand. She wrote down a number and an address before capping the pen and putting it back in her purse.
 “That’s my cell,” she explained, “I’m much easier to reach there. And that’s my address. Pick me up at seven.”
 Before Misha had a chance to respond she was picking the journal up off the table and making her way out of the café. He stared at the writing on his palm, the same writing he’d gotten so accustomed to over the last few days, and smiled. He actually had a chance to get to know the girl behind the pages and he was more than thrilled. Maybe the date that night would be able to change his mind about giving up on love and if it did he had a train ride and a journal to thank for it.
