Author's Note: After quite some time, hello! I'm so sorry this took so long, but life has been so busy and hectic last month I simply didn't have time and energy to write this sooner. Though I'm very glad for everyone who waited for this part and I hope you'll like it. It's probably not the last one, I have few ideas for more parts. omg why is the byler tag flopping 😭 we used to get minimally 200 posts per day, now it's nothing. oh bylernators, what is happening...

You’re right, the tag has been dry as a California summer lately, and it is sad.

I think people have left for a wide range of reasons (the controversies, general frustration with the tag, boredom, developing other hyperfixations, exhaustion from the constant time loop of discourse, there being nothing else to cornplate in the show, etc), but also just literally because there isn’t really any content to get hyped about other than the semi-regular Friday posts from Ross and the ST ig account.

There was a new wave of activity on here when filming started up again and when we initially started getting bts/leaks, but that has kinda been slow overall. We’re all just living leak to leak, interview to interview, and making theories/art based on that, as well as voting on polls and such. But I hope March 22 saves us with Will bts! 🙏

Chapter 1: ~Machi's unfortunate surprise~🧵🃏

{A/N Forgive me for the OOC, AU, and cringe!😫🎐}

[Machi Komacine is a 23 year old woman who's apart of the Phantom Troupe. a group of thieves and murders but to her they were like family. well all except one... Hisoka Morow replacement number 4 he had joined the Troupe 4 years ago and him and Machi became...... teammates to say the least she didn't really like him but over time developed feelings for the stupid clown but she'd never say it. of course he had feelings for her too and told her all the time. but she always just took what he said with a grain of salt not sure if he's lying or not but regardless things were about to change.

April 10th the troup was all together celebrating a big heist they just pulled off. so they decided to have a party✨ most of them got drunk but not Machi nor Hisoka. although something did go down between them that night Machi blamed it on "I was drunk" she'd always lie or blame it on something she'd never amit to it. a few days later Machi noticed something... Different...but didn't say anything. a 1 week later some of the Troupe decided to move to the next city but they ALL agreed to meet up again in a month. they wanted to hangout more. (Look idk I just need a excuse 😭) when they got to the new hideout Machi had to know. and so that night she found out...she was pregnant.... she didn't tell anyone but she was having a heart attack she had no idea what to do....this made her feel weak. she let her gard down what was she to do?...but before anything. she'd wait till he arrived... The father of this baby.. now as I said before not all the Troupe came with Machi the only people at the hideout right now were Chrollo, Pakunoda, Shalnark, Shizuku, Kortopi & Machi. they were still waiting for the other members one of them being the father of this kid. and so a few days past and now everyone was there. everyone except Hisoka. now normally Machi wouldn't care if he showed up or not but this was different they needed to talk.... two MORE days later and the clown finally decided to show up. although Hisoka was only planning to stay a few days maybe a week that was about to change once Machi starts talking. Chrollo exampled that he'd be staying in this city for a few months because he was a bit tired of moving and he added that any other member of the troupe could stay with him and that was all.]

Hisoka: Hi Machi~

Machi: Hi...or whatever...

Hisoka: so how are you doing?~

Machi: what do you care!

Hisoka: oh my dear Machi I care because your my friend, Teammate, Fellow spider and maybe something more someday~

Machi: S..Shut up! we're teammates that's it!

Hisoka: oh ok...~ -_-...so how are you?...

Machi: ....[She really didn't wanna say but... he was the father... she had to...]

Machi: not great....

Hisoka: oh my what's wrong dear~?

Synopsis: Drunkenness can either trigger one to make a mistake. You can say yours was a blessing in disguise.

A/N: Hello! Back with another short fic! I'm still not done with finals, maybe a week or two more, but I'll leave this fic here because so suddenly, I thought of this trope when I saw a post on twt 😭

“Another shot for the beautiful lady!” Chan hollers at the top of his lungs. You giggled, the sight of his never disappearing dimples sent your heart soaring. He’s as endearing as ever even when you’re both drunk as heck.

“Hyung, come on, you’re both drunk.” Changbin tries to stop you two from downing more alcohol, but the older just waves him off.

“Oh, don’t be such a killjoy, Binnie. We’re not harming anyone!” He bellows out. Changbin sighs deeply as he pushed away Minho’s head from his shoulders.

“You too, Minho hyung. Don’t you have work tomorrow?” Changbin sighs in defeat from Minho’s drunken state, who was very much a clingy-and-affectionate drunk.

“Hehe. I have a day off tomorrow,” the older man giggles as he continues to pester Changbin.

You watched and sighed contently. You barely had time to fool around like this anymore due to workload. Ever since getting a more stable job, you’ve had lesser time to spend for yourself.

“What’s got you smiling, honey?” Chan rests his chin on the palm of his hand, as his elbow rested on the dark oak table. He gave you that beautiful smitten smile, with an all too loving gaze, and it sent your heart into a frenzy of endless thrumming.

“Just…this is beautiful,” you crossed your arms on the table. After doing so, you rested your head on your crossed arms, looking back at Chan from your position. “I haven’t had the time for myself recently. It's nice to be with you guys.” You closed your eyes, feeling the numbing headache that’s caught up from your drunken state.

“We can always hang out whenever you want, baby.” Chan whispers, sneaking a hold of your hand that peeked out from your crossed arms.

There was a moment of silence that hang itself over you two. In your own space, with your eyes communicating as if you were connected once more. Before it broke in itself after Changbin finally called out to his other older friend.

“Agh! Hyung you have to go home!” The younger whined. Sadly, being the only sober one had its pros and cons. He was smart not to drink and suffer the consequences of his actions by hangover, but he had to witness all this shit and be the responsible one.

“Come on~ Just one last drink,” Minho whined as well. Throwing his hands anywhere to express his distaste for not getting more alcohol in his system.

“Chan hyung, go home with Minho hyung. I’ll fetch you both a cab. I’ll take care of noona.” He was begging at this point.

But Chan shook his head. “No! I’ll go with Y/n! I have to show her something.” He shook his head childishly, jutting out his lips as the pouty tone was evident in his voice.

Changbin looks at him worriedly, and a bit heartbroken; almost as if he was about to cry. And to be honest, he’s been that way since the start of the night. “Hyung…are you sure?” He asks, eyes nervously meeting Chan’s, as he fiddled with his fingers.

Chan only let’s out a hearty laugh, “of course! I can take care of myself and Y/n!” He takes full hold of your hand, intertwining them together and pressing a short kiss on the back of your hand. It sent you reeling with butterflies once more.

“If…if you’re so sure then…” Changbin pulls out his phone, albeit unsure, still. “I’ll phone a cab for you two, then.” He says, dialing for a cab as he watches you two with an aching heart, and worried mind.

The cab arrived, and Changbin made sure to get you two safely inside, before he went to his car, dragging along a drunk and half asleep Minho.

The ride was silent, after having Chan give the directions to his studio to the driver. He had his arms wrapped securely on your waist. There was comfort in the silence the loomed over you, and you relished being in his arms. It wasn’t a full cure, but it at least eased some of your headache.

Soon after arriving the destination, Chan had dragged you with him to the building. It was a miracle the staff had let you two inside despite how drunk the two of you looked. But Chan was thankful, because he didn’t want to miss this opportunity to show you what he’d been working on in his studio.

Ushering you inside the cramped space and familiarity of his studio, you settled yourself tiredly on the leather sofa that sat behind his desk.

“You’re going to love this, I promise you.” He giggles like a school girl. Opening up his laptop, and then going for the window where he earlier saved and closed his work. He taps on the play button, and turning up the volume just right.

He turned to you in his swiveling chair as the instrumentals started playing. The intro was calm before it progressed to a more upbeat tone. It’s resembling those of summer songs, and it quickly made you smile. Despite being mot a fan of the hot season, you agreed that most summer songs were fun and worthwhile.

Chan grins at the reaction he’s receiving. “You always love summer songs,” he says, swaying a bit as his drunken self invites you to a dance. You accepted, of course.

The two of you swayed to the music, enjoying how upbeat the music was. It brought you good vibes, despite the song lacking lyrics. The song soon ends end he was quick to go back to his seat, which left you confused.

He regrets moving quick, triggering the his headache from excessive drinking. “Hold on,” he grunts and holds onto his head. You rushed to his side, but also regretting as a wave of headache consumed you. You just held his hand in consolation.

“We both got headaches,” you blabbered out. And you don’t know why, but being drunk has lead you to find it funny. Soon, Chan was laughing along with you.

After recovering from the throbbing pain, Chan opened another file, and after clicking the play button, he sat beside you on the sofa as well.

This one was a big contrast to the upbeat, summer song from earlier. It was mellow, and smooth. But the tune was…sad.

Chan leaned back on the couch, almost slouching. The music played as he stared at the ceiling. You copied, leaning back as well and just staring upwards, however with eyes closed—savoring the instrumentals.

But then you heard a voice—particularly the one in the demo—along with Chan humming. You tried to make out of the lyrics, until you realized the song was directed at you. The lyrics a solemn anthem of what Chan had been feeling for months. And just like that, his words sobered you up.

And then he spoke.

“She’s beautiful.” A pause.

And you turned to him, waiting.

“She was my whole world…She still is. I guess I was just stupid to let go…or that, she never deserved me in the first place.” You were confused on who was referring to. Was it a different woman? “We had a beautiful boy and yet, I don’t know what came over me to just give up.”

You know now it was you he was talking about. Perhaps him getting so drunk have made him forgot he was talking to you, about you.

“Lady, was I a bad husband? She…I broke her heart, and it hurts so much seeing her that night when I told her.” That’s right, you two have been divorced for about half a year now. Suddenly, the joy and warmth that you felt earlier with him has been replaced with the overwhelming feeling of sadness and heartbreak. As if you were reliving the night he asked you for a divorce.

“I really was a bad husband. I hurt her, thinking that my career would only hindrance our relationship. But in truth, I really just gave up on my whole world for my stupid career.” He was sobbing all so suddenly, and you can’t help but do so as well, only quietly as you turned away from him.

“Lady, you don’t know how much I regret doing it. That day at the court, I was so close to crying. I wanted to stop everything but she just looked so angry. I made her mad and hurt, and I just felt that…I had not right to take it all back after putting her through so much…”

You remembered vividly as if it was only yesterday. You were feeling a lot of things, to be honest. That day, more than hurt, confusion, and sadness, you were mad. Angry. Mad and angry at how he chose to gave up on your love. On Jeongin.

Oh, God. Dearest Jeongin. Your poor son sobbed to no end as if he’d physically lost his father. He was too young to understand the concept of divorce, and yet he was pushed into it at such a young age. And although visits were allowed, Jeongin had been a lot more reluctant about everything since then because of it.

“I don’t want to let go, and yet…I feel that all I’ve put her through, was enough of a reason to say that I’m not enough for her. I really wasn’t enough.” The music stopped, and the only sound present was of his sobbing and the rustles his clothes made with every movement.

Your breathing was getting harder to control, as your nose clogged due to crying. You wanted to stay silent but it was hard to do so. And so you eventually let out the sobs that you held back, tears freely flowing but you were still turned away from Chan.

The man perks at the sound of your sobbing, and only then did his mind register once more that it was you who he is with. “Y/n! Love, why are you crying?” He was quick to wrap his arms around you. You don’t know if he was really too drunk to even process everything, to the point that he forgot where your relationship currently stands.

He cradles you in his arms, and for the first time in months, you felt at home. Safe. Despite the underlying problem that you shouldn’t even be doing this with your ex husband. That you shouldn’t be in his arms. And yet you feel like being selfish. Just this one time, and maybe then you can move on.

“Shh, it’s okay, baby. You can let it all out. You know you always have me. You can always run to me and lean on me, my love.”

How it hurts you to the point that your crying was almost mixed with the anguished screams. His words should have been bringing your comfort, but with the way he’s speaking those broken promises was too much for you.

“No! No!” You started to scream. “You gave up on us! How can you say those words when you left me?” Those months of grieving for him never seemed to have left. And the stress that piled up finally reached its breaking point. And two broken souls in a cramped room, with no other form of outlet, it truly sucks to be on the receiving end for all of this sword like words.

Chan gripped tightly on his hold on yours, as if the weight of the situation has now fully sobered him up. “I’m so sorry. I’m so ashamed of myself. I regret ever hurting you. I don’t even know how to put it into words. But…those first nights after the proceedings in the court, I—”

Chan choked out the sob once more. He was heaving deeply, and then letting it all out by crying. It hurts him to think about the nights you weren’t in his arms. Those sleepless nights where he had to be tortured endlessly with the thoughts of the consequences of his actions till day breaks. It was a lot of burden for him to carry.

“There was so much regret, Y/n. I didn’t think being away from you was going to affect me, especially when I thought it was the right thing to do. I should’ve taken it all back the moment I saw your face when I brought the topic of divorce.” He’d spoken each word, sentence, slowly as he can. Choosing the right ones so as not to fan the flames of hatred.

You silently cried, still. But you wanted to give your word as well. “You should have talked to me about what you were feeling.” You fisted his shirt in your hold, tightly, before speaking once more, “what was the purpose of our vows? Our bond? Everything—if you’re just going to decide for yourself?” You felt exhausted from crying, slumping in his embrace.

You just…wanted nothing, at this point. There was no use in being so mad at him to the point of holding a grudge, especially when he’d been transparent with you now about his thoughts.

“I know…I was wrong. I wish I could just, go back in time and slap some sense into past me…” Chan heaves out another heavy sigh. His breathing finally going a bit more stable than before. The uncomfortable position of being huddled together in a seated position was catching up to him, so he laid down on the couch, dragging you along.

“That’s a great way to put it. But, at least we’ve learned our lesson. I may have had a part in all of this, if you say that you were reluctant to open up to me about it…so I’m sorry too, if I’ve done something to make you feel like I’m not worthy of knowing what’s on your mind…” You sincerely voiced out. You just know that you may have played a part in this divorce.

Chan hushed you, bringing your closer to him, as if your weight on top of him wasn’t enough to close the distance. He stroked your back comfortingly as he spoke, “no, no. It wasn’t any of your fault. It was me overthinking, and compulsively making a decision…” He admitted, staring back into the ceiling.

There was silence that loomed over the two of you. Both of you finally ceasing the tears and just being in each other’s presence. Chan taking one of your hands in his, intertwining them together as his other hand rubbed comforting patterns on your back.

“Let’s start over.” You broke the silence. It was enough for Chan to halt all his movements, as he shifted underneath you to just look at you properly.

“Start over?” He asks almost dumbly. It made you chuckle, finding it endearing as you often see him give you this look of curiosity and confusion when he gets lost in the conversation.

You nodded, but spoke so as well to assure him. “Yeah.” You rested your cheek on the back of his hand that was in your intertwined hold. “We can work through ‘us’ properly this time. We’ll talk about anything and everything. We’ll make it all work.” You gazed into his eyes lovingly.

Chan was elated to hear it. But then his insecurity resurfaced again. “But…what if I messed up agai—”

“No.” You cut him off. Not wanting his insecurities do all the talking for him. “You won’t. Because like I said, we’ll go through it together. We’ll make it work, because we’ll help each other out. We’ll be there for the other. And I’m here for you now, telling you that I’ll stay with you.”

Chan stays quiet again, almost as if he’s going to cry again. But you spoke once more, “ we’ll work out your insecurities, but for now, don’t worry about anything. Okay?” You asked, staring gently straight into his eyes.

Chan nodded. He understands it well. He understands, that his soul is shaken with how steadfast your were. But most of all, he was relieved, and happy. He felt the heavy weight in his heart, finally lift off. His heart growing lighter as he felt you press a kiss on his forehead.

There was peace and lightheartedness as you two got caught up in your conversations. Chan, despite having visits to see Jeongin would still bombard you with question about him. He wants to know even the most mundane of things about his wonderful son.

You talked for hours until you can’t, and the sun has risen up. And despite having been drunk, you just both know you’ll get a clear memory of what had all happened, because you two were sober enough, and your hearts wouldn’t let you forget that something as beautiful as this has happened.

thank you! and yes ofc, any input is welcome! okay, so i've seen some people talk about how many fics get chuuya and dazais dynamic wrong, but i've not actually seen any specific critiques, so i was wondering if you have any tips to avoid, for lack of better term, to write one of the "bad ones"?

also, i don't have money for the light novels, is it generally frowned upon to write skk without having knowledge of how they are in the light novels? i don't if they're that different, but i've seen comments like "if you just read stormbringer, you'd understand" so just wondering if i'm missing out on A Lot.

and for fic posting, this is not that important, but is there some popular fic boosting tags if i wanted to promote it on tumblr?

oh these are great questions!! lemme try to answer it in an organized way (edit from myself after typing the answer up: i am so sorry for this monster of a post askjdfgh hope it's not too overwhelming 😭🙏)

skk dynamic:

one thing i think is important to keep in mind is that it has layers, and that they're not quite honest in their interactions. a good example for what i mean is like when they're rescuing q and chuuya talks about how he can't stand dazai, but then later when dazai is attacked by lovecraft chuuya is immediately concerned and runs after him to make sure he's okay, being shocked and worried when he sees his arm missing, etc. (dazai is even worse in that regard lmao)

i can speak on my own personal pet peeve with skk fics is where their personalities are flattened, and thus their relationship is as a result as well (for example, reducing chuuya to a tsundere, or making him stupid, while making dazai some dark edgelord etc) this can lead to missing one key thing in their relationship: they're equals

soukoku even just as a fighting duo isn't just "dazai thinks up strategies and chuuya fights", the whole reason they're considered unbeatable to their enemies is because they're both strong - they can both fight, and they're both smart and good at thinking quickly on their feet. it's just that chuuya is better at fighting, and dazai's strategies are more airtight. this way they're enhancing each other's abilities. so, translating that into their general dynamic is also important

another way in which they're equal that i think shows this last part^ even better, and smth that i think ppl tend to miss, is that dazai never really manipulates chuuya or forces him into situations he doesn't want to take part in - he always asks for chuuya's final word on the matter. chuuya follows his plans because he too knows they're likely the best option. this is how they maintain their trust in each other

(honestly the only time i think you can argue dazai tries to manipulate chuuya is in their reunion in the dungeon, but really it's more for shits and giggles on his end, no real malice, and chuuya probably knows that too, i think)

light novels:

first off!! even if you can't afford them, bsd-bibliophile has them right here!!! i really recommend checking it out :)

i don't think you HAVE to read them but like. it's good to know what happens in them at least generally, and it can definitely help the nuance of their dynamic. the sb comment is kind of right bc it helps figuring out one of those layers i mentioned in the beginning

i actually haven't finished strombringer myself hehe but one thing i got from it so far and from reading analysis of it (which can also help if you don't mind getting spoiled!) that i think is important, esp if you're writing about their mafia days, is that chuuya does hate dazai in the early stages of their relationship, but like. because he sees himself in him. and he sees despair he doesn't want to give in to. at least back then, dazai kind of embodies his negative thoughts about himself, even if not literally and just in his mind.

also on a more basic level both of them (tho esp fifteen) offer some shenanigans of them being silly teenagers. also dazai cringe compilation. actually this is an important part of it i think dazai should always be at least a little bit pathetic when chuuya's around (but that might also be just my own personal take :P)

tldr for the light novels thing, i think it really depends on what sort of fic you're planning to write. canonverse, and esp mafia days, i'd say it's fairly important. aus, not so much, but it can help. relationship explorations, probably. silly fluff or pwp, not really. yknow :?

posting:

hmmmmm i don't know any particular tags (except like, basic stuff, fandom / ship / main characters / "fanfiction" / maybe key tropes you're using? tho it's def not a must) but some general tumblr hacks:

posting at the right hours and days helps; around the afternoon or early evening in american timezones, on the weekends, is probably the best time to gain most traffic

use ao3's automatic sharing or post the fic as the link post format, rather than a text post or picture with a link inserted into the text. idk if it still exists, but it used to be that posts with links in the text would be hidden from search results, especially if you're a new blog (i think it was mostly removed but the new blog thing might still be relevant)

don't use swears and esp not "fuck" and its variations in the tags. hides posts from search results (i think "shit" and such is okay?? but i'm not entirely sure so. to be on the safe side, better to avoid) also don't use "nsfw" or any other possibly nsfw tags even if it's needed

speaking of. while it's probably responsible to use community labels. i'm p sure tumblr hides mature posts from search results 😭 i saw artists complaining abt their posts getting flagged and even getting shadowbanned over it iirc so. unfortunately it's probably better to avoid 😔 save the warnings for the fic itself

this might be a bug only i have lol but after making a post with quite a few tags, wait a few seconds before refreshing the tab or moving to another page. i noticed that otherwise it can hide the post from everywhere except your own blog (it might also be only relevant to image posts? but again, to be on the safe side, it won't hurt to do it)

okay i think that's all. i will say that everything i said abt skk might be just my own personal interpretation hehe so don't take my word as gospel!!! i'm sure there are many other fans and writers who view them in an entirely different light, and at the end of the day, it's up to you to choose your own version to write

everyone was finishing the last of their dinner when your voice spoke out above the common bickering between brok and sindri. “tyr, could i speak with you in private? that is if you are not required elsewhere.” odin’s temporary golden eyes rose from his empty bowl to lock with your gaze, watching as you expectantly glanced over at kratos.

“no. do as you wish.” said man spoke, his booming voice earning a small smile of thanks before you rose from your wooden chair. “of course, beloved. what do you need?” his much larger hand reached out to slip into yours and he let you gently drag him towards your room that sindri so generously allowed you to use. “i’d like to do this in my room, if that’s alright?” you didn’t wait for a response as you both entered the room. ‘rude’, odin thought. there was a moment of awkward silence before you both took a seat beside each other on the bed far too small to fit someone of tyr’s size.

it didn’t take long for you to initiate the conversation, turning to the side and placing your other hand on the back of odin’s. “i don’t want to sound.. insensitive, when i say this.” your voice stayed smooth, but odin could tell something was bothering you enough for you to not want to say it. which by the way, annoyed him to absolutely no end. he can add this to his never ending list of cons from his experience as ‘tyr’. with a sigh, odin gave your hand a reassuring squeeze. “whatever you have to say, i know you mean no harm.” he smiled, “take your time.”

“okay. okay, i’m sorry.” you closed your eyes and swallowed, holding onto odin’s wrists. “i would like for us to indulge in a little normalcy like once before, spend the night in each others embrace.” eyes locked on odin’s, straying occasionally to observe the face of the lofty god.

‘oh?... oh.’

“oh.. well,” odin began, clearing his throat and surprisingly finding himself stumped. his first instinct was to push you away from him and excuse himself from the room. the look on your face is ultimately what got him. the pure hope mixed with slight embarrassment had his blood boiling in all the right- no, wrong places. this is the last thing odin should be worried about. yet here he is, mind rapidly filling with images of you beneath him, his hands squeezing and groping your body and skin rubbing against skin.

he could feel tyr’s skin heating up, sweat collecting on his forehead and his heart pulsing just a bit faster than usual. “yes, yes i.. i would like that.” his words left his mouth faster than his brain could comprehend, but yet he didn’t feel any regret. he knew this was wrong, he also knew that’s why he was even more aroused by it.

that was all it took for odin to take your chin in his hand and shift forward, “are you sure?” your nod came quick and he suppressed a smug grin at your eagerness.

it wasn’t long for the both of you to get undressed, your bare back now pressed against the soft fur of the bed, odin’s mouth and hands traveling across your neck and torso. getting lost in the moment, he began to squeeze the meat of your thighs and couldn’t help but nip at them, surely creating a few bruises. a squeal of surprise came from your throat and you gazed down at him, eyes sparkling and pupils blown. “tyr- you’ve never done that before,” odin tensed as if he got too carried away, but the sight of your overly reactive and excited body eased his worries. “please, do it again.” your request immediately clouded his brain, just as the sensation of a new bite clouded yours.

My art-style has been mutating through the years since I graduated and nowadays I’ve found a nice balance with this sketchy one I’m currently using (definitely influenced by Mikael Ross, his traditional cartoonish style is a huge inspo for me when i do comics). but I love trying new methods and switching things up every now and then. And yes, the double lineart is intentional!! I like how it gives some dimension and dynamism to the anatomy and makes it feel like animation 💞

And you are very observant!!! Bc I definitely change things in my art when I post them to different sites. part of it is because I’m kind of a perfectionist, and once i post something on twitter i start noticing all the mistakes and tangents and I just know i won’t post it on tumblr until i feel satisfied and fix things or re-do them. on the other hand, tumblr is very strict with the nudity stuff and i keep getting flagged every time i post something slightly suggestive (or maybe someone is reporting me 👀 won’t be the first time tbh) so i gotta tone things down, like adding obi-wan’s red lingerie in that one fanart while on tumblr he’s showing ass and cock HAHAHA. so yep, twitter gets ass and tits while tumblr gets the fixed 2.0 stuff. but in some way i kind of like the idea of posting different things on each site, like little easter eggs 🥰

Because you know, there are real people in need of help, people I will look and have old Tumblr blogs with posts of their own and clear interests. Not some reblogged posts of what's on the popular tags and suddenly a post asking for help.

Your blog looks like many scam blogs exploiting the kindness of people who want to help. Why would you have a need of making a whole new Tumblr account with a new email, reblogging some random posts before posting a post asking for monetary aid not even 20 minutes later?

And you only want people to answer to your ask privately. You don't want it to be known you asked for it. Because if I just reblogged your post it would seem more trust worthy. I reblogged a post from the source. "Maybe they even know the person" my followers might think. You even followed me because I will be so much more willing to reblog it if it means I get a new follower who's definitely interested on hearing me talk about Minecraft YouTubers on the daily.

And I'm sorry if you're telling the truth and I sound cruel (And I hope your cat gets well soon if that's the case) but... I don't feel well making my followers possibly giving money to a possible scam because I promoted it. You have to prove to be an actual blog, genuine person, for me to actual consider reblogging a post asking for money.

And in part I am answering this because your post seems ok. Believable. But I also know the ability of Tumblr scammers I have fallen for some beforehand. Because even though your cat pictures seem to have originated on your post that doesn't really change much because I could share a photo that I took of a cat last week, that was never on the internet, and do this

Anyway here's a list of Hosie+my Hosie fankids's Pokemon team and the explanations for why I picked the specific Pokemon for them under the cut bc this got long and I don't wanna spam the tag with constantly long-ass posts all the time (especially when those long-ass posts are AU specific lmao rip)🙏

And who knows mayhaps I'll draw a Hosie Pokemon AU in the future one day. Gotta have a point of reference for me to look back to👀

Hope’s first three Pokemon represent her Tribrid side. Delphox = witch, Lycnroc Midnight = werewolf, Gliscor = vampire. I don’t think there’s really much need to go into detail as to why I picked these three Pokemon for Hope 😛

For the other three, Garchomp, Absol, Alolan Ninetails, it’s all about aesthetics, really. Garchomp, I found out, is a pseudo-legendary, so I think it fits her pretty well being a Tribrid. I mean, aside from her eldest daughter Lana, there’s no one else in the supernatural world that’s a Tribrid like her. Plus, Hope with a Dragon type on her team is pretty dope if you ask me.

Absol has this infamous connection to disaster. And… Well… I don’t need to explain too much about why I picked Absol for Hope, do I 👀? Plus also it gives me this like, lone-wolf type of vibe which fits Hope’s vibes a bit.

Finally, Alolan Ninetails! Look, I don’t know why, but I associate ice/snow with Hope. It just somehow happened that way (maybe also because Hope=ice Josie=fire and the typical ice/fire tropes in some ships 👀). But Alolan Ninetails is also majestic as fuck, and that’s also Hope. She is also majestic as fuck and she deserves to have a gorgeous and majestic Pokemon on her team.

The two Grass types, Sunflora and Leafeon, in Josie’s team made me think of her affiliation with plants and I do not remember if that is a canon thing that Josie really loves plants, or if it was a fanon thing that was created through, well, the fandom. But I thought it worked regardless

For Mismagius and Spiritomb, I picked them specifically to represent Josie’s (Siphoner sorta) witch and her Dark!Josie era on the show. Mismagius obviously being the witch and Spiritomb being Dark!Josie. It helps that Spiritomb is also a Dark type, and it does make me think of when Josie like put all that dark energy into that dark object, so it works!

I picked Houndoom for Josie because of her pyromaniac tendencies teehee 😜 lol I'm half kidding. I did remember there was a moment with her character and fire: Penelope's hair, the confession letter, that one scene where she blows out a little match–I thought it wouldn't be a Josie team if I didn't have a Fire type with her. And the reason for Houndoom specifically is because Houndoom is cool and also part Dark type which ties back to her Dark!Josie era.

Haterene and actually Leafeon too, are because I’m a sucker for giving twins paired Pokemon haha. So while those two are Josie’s, Lizzie’s has Grimmsnarl and Glaceon. Haterene because she also has this fairytale witchy vibe, which I thought was kinda fitting for that one fairytale scene in the show where Hope jumps into Josie’s mind or something to deal with Dark!Josie. Leafeon because, c’mon. Eeveelution pair Leafeaon and Glaceon, it’s too good of an opportunity to pass up!

Lana is also a Tribrid like Hope, but I also wanted to give her some differences in her starting three Pokemon so she’s not like a carbon copy shadow of Hope. With that being said, I do have her first Pokemon be Delphox, like Hope’s. I thought maybe it would be sweet for Hope's Delphox to have eggs and Hope passed one to Lana and it hatched into a Fennekin. A next gen thing. But shiny because in my mind, Lana's magical fires take on a more black and purple hue (even if shiny Delphox’s fire is still red lol).

Mightyena and Hydreigon represent her werewolf and vampire side in her Tribrid title thing. Now, I know Hydreigon is a three-headed Dragon and nothing to do with vampires or even has a vampire motif. But lemme tell you something: it's fine. Don't worry about it. Lana with a kick-ass Dragon type like Hydreigon is hella dope don't come at me I'm fragile. Also Hydreigon, I just found out, is a pseudo-legendary type, which I think fits with Lana’s Tribrid nature. Not full legendary rare, but still rare enough that there’s no one else like her except for her Mom (which is also very fitting because Hope has a pseudo-legendary with Garchomp, another Dragon type).

Brambleghast is an immediate must because aside from black-purple fire, I think it's neat that her magic also manifests in brambles/briars. So this Pokemon is literally perfect for her.

Meowstic and Froslass give me this like, stand-offish and cool vibe, which honestly fits Lana's entire personality of a typical ice princess vibe who may or may not have a superiority complex.

Hayley is the only werewolf–aside from Lana but she’s a Tribrid–amongst her supernatural siblings. So I thought it would be rather sweet if Hayley also have a Lycanroc but Midday form. I like to think that maybe Hope’s Lycanroc had babies and Hayley ended up getting one of the Rockruffs. Like passing on a legacy hehehe.

Asides from that, Hayley’s the type who will pull punches, she will act first and asks questions later type of person. So having a few Fighting types on her team was a no brainer. Like Primeape, Toxicroak, and Gallade–the latter which I just found out is part Fighting so that was a fun discovery.

I also thought Poison types would fit Hayley pretty well (and maybe it had something to do with the fact that Poison type logo colour is purple, and purple is her colour lmao). Which is where Toxicroak and Nidoking comes in. Plus, they would also fit in the power punches that is more of Hayley’s playstyle in combat.

Like with Josie, I love, love, love giving paired Pokemon to twins because I’m a massive lame unoriginal dork! Except I did bounce between giving Hayley either Flareon or Vaporeon to match with Jay’s Jolteon. Ended up not picking Flareon even tho she’s a spitfire because I feel like fire is a bit more of Jay’s thing even tho I picture Jay having more of an affinity to lightning. So then I thought maybe Vaporeon? But in the end I picked Espeon (it did pain me to not give Jay Umbreon because to me, Espeon and Umbreon are a pair) because purple is Hayley’s colour but I also think Espeon fits her, especially because Espeon is a Psychic type and Hayley has a few Fighting types, and Psychic is effective against Fighting. It also would tie into the fact that, despite Hayley being very hard-headed and tough, she still has that vulnerable moment to her that she tends to hide away from other people. It’s a pretty good balance!

Look, I don’t have to repeat that I love giving twins paired Pokemon, because we been knew lmao. Jolteon is perfect for Jay because I always pictured him to have this affinity with lightning. However, I am a bit stumped on if I want Jolteon to be shiny or not, because Jay’s main colour is green (more like olive green), but we shall see. My answer will probably end up being a “yes his Jolteon is shiny and Hayley probably hates that he got a shiny Pokemon” haha. Shiny Jolteon it is then!

To keep in theme with his association with lightning, I gave him Toxtricity Amped form because I thought it’d be cool. Sometimes there’s just no deep reasoning. Sometimes it’s just “i think this is cool” lol.

Spiritomb for Jay is the same reasoning I have for Josie except he doesn’t really do what she did in the show and messed around with a dark object. But I thought it would be neat to give him Spiritomb (maybe this is actually Josie’s Spiritomb that she passed down to Jay, who knows). With Yamask, I didn’t have much of a story on why he has one, but I think I thought it fits him? I don’t really know how to explain why I think that. It just does.

Gave him a Flygon on his team because, like with Toxtricity, I just think it’d be neat! Also green lol. No but there is actually a little bit of reasoning. So asides from lightning, I think Jay would also have an affinity with the Earth/ground. So it fits that Flygon is a Ground(/Dragon) type as well. Flygon also has pretty good speed stat, and to be honest, Jay is very nimble and agile when he’s in combat and isn’t using his magic. I have a lot of his melee fights incorporate a lot of contemporary dance and gymnastic moves because I think it would be really interesting for him to use a lot of that in his melee fights, plus it would be pretty creative writing-wise to see what sort of things I can come up with to make those fights feel fluid because he is very agile and dextrous.

Typhlosion is there because I am biased and I love Typhlosion, fave starter of gen 2 babeyyy. But also has that little small spark of fire that he and Josie shares and I think that’s pretty neat heehee.

For Leo, I obviously had to give him Litleo. There was no way I couldn’t not give him Litleo, his name is practically in the name. Perfect Pokemon for our sweet summer child boi.

I actually had a tough time picking out the rest of Leo’s team and had to go back and forth with his way more than the others. Mostly because I had a thought of “what if he just has primarily Fairy types for the rest of his team” which evolved into “oh what about he has Fairy and Dragon types” which then evolved into “what if he just has these conventionally “””scary””” Pokemon on his team in contrast of his sunny bright disposition”. I think I did end up sticking with that regarding Granbull and Aggron.

Chansey came about because Leo wants to help his family out no matter what. That includes learning how to do potions even though he has no magic. That means learning up on werewolf packs and diplomacy even though he’s not a werewolf. That means researching the history of vampires–which becomes a family history thing–and figuring out ways to help rippers. He also makes sure his family is taken care of if they end up in some battle and are hurt. That’s where Chansey comes in. In Pokemon, Nurse Joy’s in every Pokemon Centre has a Chansey. They are like the poster Pokemon for Pokemon Centres. And in some of the Dex entries, Chansey is a very helping Pokemon. Whether that’s giving people or Pokemon its egg to eat to heal them, or bringing trainer’s happiness if they’re caught. That’s Leo. That is completely Leo.

Gave him Sliggoo to also balance out the Fairy types that he had on his team! I think it'd be neat for him to have a Dragon type. Because, tbh, Leo is gregarious and befriends creatures so quickly no matter what or how they act. Leo has amassed an army of creatures who will protect him no matter the cost and that's super precious to me haha. Which brings me back to my reasoning for giving him Granbull and Aggron lol (I know they're not scary ok).

And with Mimikyu, at first it was because I personally love Mimikyu but the more I thought about it the more I went “oh wait the lore of Mimikyu would maybe perhaps fit Leo’s arc of being the only human in a family of supernaturals and feeling very low of himself and inferior because he’s the “token human”. Like it would play into his insecurities a bit, but then he would, of course, eventually learn to embrace that yeah, he is the token human and will fuck shit up for those who underestimate him because he’s just a human.

This individual entered my house for a "grindr hookup", and absconded with my cat. My cat has feline autism (as diagnosed by my chiropractor, message for receipts). ⭐ getting to know your BL mutuals

⭐ what have been the BLs that took you by surprise this year?

I don't know why but Our Days stole my whole heart. Not many people liked (or even watched) it but I just thought it was so incredibly sincere and patient and kind to its characters.

Pluem and Kevin's affection for each other in Ghost Host, Ghost House completely took me by surprise. They're easily taking the crown for best BL couple this year imo. I still can't believe a streaming app made such a beautiful little show about dealing with grief.

And then there's On Cloud Nine and Self which did amazing, considering they're small indie productions. I love how ambitious and intriguing both projects were. They could've gone the more audience-friendly romcom route with their projects but they chose heavier topics and imo it really paid off (and hopefully attracted sponsors).

⭐what have been the BLs that you felt a bit disappointed with this year?

Love Area 2 felt like a whole fever dream tbh. I really wonder what happened there and I feel a bit sorry for everyone involved.

Then there's Oh! My Sunshine Night and apparently that was due to the higher-ups meddling and completely destroying the script and the director's vision. It had its moments, though. RainPhayu were everything and that Noh and Peterpan are still promoting together gives me hope🙏

Oh yeah, and also:

I hate it here lmao No but Gen Y was the perfect cheesy and overdramatic show for me, only for Gen Y 2 to completely overshoot its mark. And now I'll never know what happened to SandeePai & PadbokSab😔

⭐what has been your favorite BL this year?

I know, this is surprising exactly no one but... Big Dragon!

I'm super biased, of course, and I was always expecting a good show with a good soundtrack and good chemistry. I know, many people dimissed the show as a cheap Kinnporsche clone (which I honestly don't get - they have nothing in common except for the cinematographer lmao) but this show is everything I ever wanted. I love how Star Hunter's dedication paid off. I love that's there'll be a season 2 and I love that MosBank are so busy these days and getting magazine covers and brand deals left and right. I also love all the symbolism in the show. I love how it actually made me sit down and write reviews - which I haven't done in years. I'm generally just incredibly fond of this show and, uh, that's about it.
