I’m sorry but Formula 1 media drives me insane!
Tumblr media
If Max didn’t DNF in Australia, he would be leading the World Championship. If Charles had functioning brakes in Bahrain, he would be leading the World Championship.
See how these hypotheticals work?
The narratives surrounded the Australian Grand Prix are slowly making me lose my mind. Did Carlos have a commendable drive? Yes. Was his win due to luck more than anything (simply because no one is getting ahead of Max if he doesn’t have mechanical issues)? Yes!
Carlos won because, for the first time in nearly two seasons, Max had a DNF. It’s really that simple.
The difference in how media treats Carlos versus Charles simply does not make any sense to me. A lucky P1 for Carlos and fans and pundits alike are saying that he is better than Charles and that Ferrari is keeping the wrong driver.
I can’t deal with it anymore!
How are these same people content to pretend that Charles didn’t have major brake issues in Bahrain that rendered his car all but undriveable? That him being able to finish P4 was a miracle in itself. How do seven straight front row starts get ignored or dismissed as unimportant because Charles didn’t manage to convert them to wins … when the Australian Grand Prix clearly showed the importance of starting the position?
The only difference, as luck would have it, the one race that Max has mechanical issues is also the one race that Charles had issues with the car in qualifying and had to start on the second row instead.
Sometimes I wish that Charles had a national media to defend him and have his back like all the other drivers do because the double standards that he constantly has to deal with are making me lose my mind.
It truly feels like some of these people don’t bother to actually watch races or take context into consideration and just go purely off of the standings.
Charles Leclerc deserves better.

Oh, what a delightful surprise, yet another round of the 'you-can't-tell-an-artist-what-to-do-and-how-to-do-it' debate. Because apparently, some folks missed the memo on respecting boundaries and basic decency. If you can't grasp that concept, well, it's not my job to enlighten you. But between you and me, it seems like a serious lack of etiquette and respect for someone else's creative process.
On a brighter note, massive shoutout to all the lovely souls who bring good vibes and simple joy to our interactions. You guys are the real MVPs. And hey, you're always welcome to swing by for a chat about art, ask questions or even just some fun prompts for future art. Let's keep up with the good vibes 🤍

Tired of those contests where cosplayers win because of being popular and not necessarily better than the rest. I'm annoyed as fuck, give the rest of the cosplayers some opportunities, like, give them visibility. Why always supporting the same group of 5 golden child when they are already known by everybody? I didn't even participate, nor I would cause I want judges judging my skills not my talent in being more "friendly" or having more followers on Instagram. The cosplay contests in this country (and i know most of the rest too) are literally a popularity show instead of talent ones. Fuck it.

Daily Reminder: Tickling doesn't have to be a fetish.
I myself don't see tickling as a fetish, I like tickling because it's cute, and I think it's a great way to bond with people.
If you think tickling is sexual and there's literally just like two people innocently tickling each other.
I will gladly punt you into the sun you sick fuck.

i am re-watching trollhunters and s3e10 is truly one of the best episodes in animation history, the way it conveys jim's feelings: the burden of his sense of responsibility and the yearning for the life he deserves; while circling around with the memories of people that means the world to him- his world, his reason to let himself go. And while they are banging on the door it is so clear that he is self-aware, that he is doing it again leaving them behind even though they've decided they are stronger together, and with guilt, M*rlin's words become his fuel; because he sees "the bigger picture" grandpa wizard was talking about. The chosen one; chosen to let go for the sake of holding it, carrying it all.
Young Atlas, carrying it all, alone.
Tumblr media
And the way he is thinking of Blinky's words on what it means to be a hero as he sinks down… showing how scared he is and how brave he is in the face of that fear.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Poetic cinema.
-And this is just me being dramatic but hearing Anton's voice in the flashbacks makes this ten times more painful. His Jim has a different place in my heart.

This wasn’t anyone on tumblr. But y’all people don’t have to like my Astarion tattoo, it’s fine. It’s the fact this one person was telling people not to put video game characters from a game you played “for a week” on their body has pissed me off. They compared it to a boyfriends name tattoo. Excuse who tf has a right to dictate what people put on their body? What if getting a tattoo is form of expression for someone who has never had any bodily autonomy before? What if the game mean’t a lot to them and helped them get through tough times? Kindly piss off, and focus on yourself instead of worrying about others. - because frankly, you need to check yourself.

Laszlo plays music, paints, gardens, writes poetry. He was a sailor, tried his hand at being a lawyer and a psychiatrist and phrenologist. He travels, in search of the Devil’s Crossroads, and goes off on adventures pretending to be human. He met Freud and all sorts of famous people. He is a primary caretaker for Colin.
I wonder if we will ever get the same level of focus and detail for Nadja’s character.

People are always saying that the mage love interest in Dragon Age is going to betray you, but... I don't think Morrigan did anything wrong. She's upfront that she is going to leave as soon as the battle is over. She just saves your life with a sex ritual so she can have her weird little Old God baby... and then if she was your LI, you can follow her through the eluvian in the Witch Hunt DLC.
Literally, the only way she "betrays" you is if you don't do the sex ritual. And even then, she just leaves. Which, tbh, feels more like her being immature about not getting her Old God baby and possibly being upset over the fact that she'll lose a friend/lover.
Honestly, the game just says she "betrayed" you. At worst, she uses your boyfriend as a sperm donor if you romanced Alistair?? And even then, they don't want to fuck. I've had so many people be like, "Ugh, I hate that she fucks Alistair." She saved you both with her magic pussy. Grow up.
Also, Anders did nothing wrong. (I mean... yeah he did, but...) I feel more betrayed by Sebastian when he's like, "Why won't you murder Anders? I'm going to fart on out of here and retake my city-state so I can forcefully invade Kirkwall later and try to kill him." Like, asshole, I told Elthina to leave?? Leliana told her to leave? She played the martyr game and won the martyr prize.
I replayed DA2 last summer and fuck the chantry, fuck Elthina, fuck Sebastian. They're annoying as hell and doing nothing is upholding the oppressive system that forces mages to turn to dangerous means for their freedom.
Meanwhile, they're basically recruiting young, impressionable people and getting them addicted to fucking lyrium to uphold the system. Like, maybe don't do a terrorism, Anders, but also... I don't feel that bad about the Kirkwall chantry.
As for Solas... I mean... Yeah. He did technically betray us. Egg boy did give his orb away which resulted in a giant hole in the sky that demons fell out of... And he does want to totally rip down the veil and kind of destroy reality as we know it.
But, like, I feel like we can calm him down and talk things over. Like, my man. We can't have a conversation?? I thought we were friends?

even besides the fact that i ship byler i genuinely don’t understand why people ship Tostitos Chunky Mild Salsa. i’m not coming after the shippers but i just DON’T GET IT???
what do you like about it? the lies? the gaslighting? the unhealthy codependency and obsession? the utter lack of chemistry? them having nothing in common? the lack of communication? them hardly knowing anything about each other? the disregard of each other’s emotional needs? the hero worship? mike using el for his own needs? el not even feeling comfortable enough to let mike know that things aren’t going great for her in cali? el believing mike only wants her for her powers and mike doing nothing to disprove that notion, but even furthering it in his monologue? el thinking mike sees her a monster, and that not being entirely untrue??
just. what is there to like.
and the complete contract of their relationship to byler, who always do their best to communicate and make up after any misunderstandings or fights, who’ve been friends since kindergarten and have so much in common, who are usually so in tune with each other’s emotional needs and so obviously care that the other is always comfortable, who are overflowing with chemistry, who look at each other like that.
but we’re the delusional ones, ig.

the duffers use nancy as their girlboss who tackles misogyny and is a feminist while simultaneously making her entire story arc revolve around two men who she constantly leads on. s4 would've been the exact same if she and steve didn't flirt. they could've had her talk about her relationship problems with another girl like robin or even just talk to steve about it without making it romantic between them. the duffers always connect her to some dude and it's fucking annoying.
the same goes for karen and robin. they made karen out to be this lonely woman who's constantly neglected by her husband and make her talk about her unfair experiences as a woman in society, but then turn around and have her sexually target a 17 year old boy. robin is a lesbian but her entire story revolves around her relationship with steve. why the fuck was steve watching robin talk to vicky at the end of the season instead of being there for the grieving child he loves? robin's entire fucking role in s4 was to help nancy and steve get together while also being a lesbian trying to prove herself to nancy, a heterosexual... the duffers do not know how to write women

I guess I wouldn't mind the Jedi having so many haters if people would just... stop saying they like the Jedi when they only like their aesthetic or a specific Jedi.
Seriously, at least on twitter, many people will say they love the Jedi, retweet fanarts, make funny jokes and memes about them, and then proceed to make the most hateful comment on their culture and lifestyle I've ever seen. It's literally like "I love the Jedi I just wish they didn't do any of the things that make them Jedi", it's annoying and misleads me all the time because I'll follow someone that's all "oh i love jedi" and then a few days later they start spouting a bunch of fanon/legends bullshit that misunderstand, and many times vilify, the Jedi and when someone comes with actual canonical sources about them instead of fanon and headcanons, the person simply... ignores!
As if having so few of us isn't sad enough it's also difficult to stay away from Jedi haters because they don't say/know they aren't really Jedi fans, they just like their lightsabers and Luke Skywalker while being completely disdainful of their culture and essence.

Just finished UnSouled by Neal Shusterman, and not only am I bouncing on my heels waiting for the next book to come in the mail but I’ve been thinking about it for the last two hours non-stop??
That book was full to the brim with tragedy and I couldn’t count the amount of times I had to close the book to process some the events shown. Even with all of these events that occurred, there is one scene that had my heart aching.
SPOILER WARNING FOR UNSOULED ^^
When Connor was bunking in Hannah’s house he got to play with Didi (Now Dierdre), but he was getting angering thoughts about his parents. He describes how Rolands arm tightens into a fist.
After directing these thoughts away the most earth-shattering bomb of a sentence was dropped (well, earth-shattering to me).
“Roland’s hand snaps together Legos just as efficiently as Connor’s natural hand, proving it can create as well as destroy.”
There are so many things I can talk about in this sentence, and I will talk about in this sentence. Firstly, Connor finally becoming somewhat at peace with that piece of Roland, as well as recognizing Roland as more than a destroyer is so important. It was such a needed connection. Since Connor has recieved his arm in the first place the arm has been nothing but an outlet for his anger. He only used Roland’s arm to punch walls, but this scene was the first time he used it for something serene and healing.
Secondly, Connor finally got his normalcy. Through the entirety of UnSouled Connor has only had one desire; normalcy. The way he went from raids, war, and constant distress to sitting on the floor clicking Legos together was something he needed. Also, Dierdre and Connor’s exchange was not only agreeably adorable, but also another implication of the peace and normalcy Connor was experiencing.
“You’ll get in trouble?”
“No worries,” Connor says.
“No worries,” Dierdre repeats,
My heart is just. SNAPPED??

I was re-watching Merlin for the hundredth time and I realised something
In the Servant of two Masters (s4 e6) Merlin has to kill Arthur but keeps failing despite us knowing that he has killed before and would be totally capable to do so again if he so wished. So it didn't really make sense, right? (Unless we consider the "his love for Arthur was fighting against the Fomorrah" and all that)
However, one dialogue stood out to me
At one point Morgana tells him "Everything that makes you Merlin will be gone"
(And that's why when Merlin comes back and Gaius makes him his favourite meal Merlin hates it)
So this means that his loyalty for Arthur and his personality are not the only things that were changed. All of his stealth and magic were also eliminated by the Fomorrah because those are still (a very significant) part of Merlin. And that's why he never tried to kill Arthur with magic because that would be something that Merlin would do
In conclusion: Morgana sabotaged her own plan without even knowing it, because she took a perfectly good assassin and turned him into a useless servant
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk
